Hot take but I really do think that some of y’all need to consider how/why/when/how often you’re making fun of straight people for being straight
I do it too, I’m not going to pretend I don’t make jokes about the hets, or the down with cis bus, or whatever
But I recently befriended a cis, straight dude and I have watched him be dismissed, degraded, and unambiguously insulted for the perceived “crime” of being straight — all in queer environments where he is allegedly “completely welcome” and surrounded by “friends”
This guy is not a toxic person! But I have seen him be made to feel so small and like his comfort and safety in those spaces are conditional on his silence and acceptance of being treated like a human dunk zone, and I think that some of y’all have had so much shit from straight/cis people that the second you feel like you’ve got an inch, you want to luxuriate in the perceived catharsis of bullying someone who— actually —doesn’t deserve it
And until he very, very carefully mentioned to me in private that it makes him feel bad, I didn’t even clock that I was involved in doing that, that it had become so instinctive for me to make casual jokes like that, and that— well meaning or otherwise —I had been contributing to an environment that made someone I really really like feel like shit
So, I dunno, I think maybe some of y’all should think about that too

It’s weird that we keep trying to armchair diagnose asshole behaviour with mental health labels and in doing so throw people with mental health conditions under the asshole bus when we could just call a guy an asshole and leave it at that
It just seems far more straightforward, you know

I think cis people should also be their gender of choice. Like, if you're a man, you should get to really enjoy being a man- have fun with it! If you're a woman, take the parts of womanhood that really deeply make you happy. If being a little androgynous or ambiguous or hidden is the part that really makes you happy, you don't have to be trans for that. If you wanna lean really hard into being femme or masc- do it! You have one life in your body, do what makes you happy. Ditch the stuff you don't like.
My sinister queer agenda is I think that everyone should be the gender they like in the way they like it.

I don't necessarily agree with this but it has such a mathematical quality to it somehow
#honestly this#being so obsessed with labels tends to be dramatically unhealthy in my experience#like. obviously use whatever you want and feel comfortable with!#but also. please do not get SO consumed by the ideal of labels#that you start walking yourself in mental panic circles#or agressively trying to police how others use them and or experience their feelings#there are multiple labels i absolutely do fall under#but I've made the choice to actively refuse them. and WILL tell someone to stop if they attemp to use any on me.#and i did so purely from having such an agressively negative experience in those spaces#and how they would police and shun people who didn't fit a very specific and small idea of what that label was#much MUCH happier to be away from all that shit honestly.#i just want to be me. if someone doesn't like it thats their problem not mine.

the bitch that threw a fit about tying with a trans woman in college swimming is actually pathetic because they weren't even tied for first. they tied for fifth. imagine joining a hate movement over a fifth place trophy

things i say that confuse and worry my coworkers:
“happy birthday” every time i hand them something
“well, that’s not ideal” whenever something is going wrong
“we are in the timeline that god abandoned” whenever i’m mildly inconvenienced
“can’t you see that your fighting is tearing this family apart?” whenever two or more coworkers are arguing
referring to taking medication as “eating medicine”
“time to go back to prison!” when putting animals back in their cages
referring to inanimate objects as (s)he, particularly when i break something and say “oh no, he’s dead.” this concerns them especially when i follow it up with “that’s not ideal”
“what are they gonna do, fire me?”

Post cancled hey Auto correct whats your FUCKING PROBLEM WITH MY ACCENT HUH
"Rewriting the plot of ___"
"I fixed ___ character designs"
"I made ___ but better"
Worst kind of content ever. Shut up, no one cares. I love my media exactly the way it is. The flaws are fun, and im having a blast. Im sick of "show must be perfectly made no flaws ever or it sucks" culture. Embrace things being bad but thats okay. In fact its more FUN when its bad.
Yall would have never survived homestuck.

being a self-taught artist with no formal training is having done art seriously since you were a young teenager and only finding out that you’re supposed to do warm up sketches every time you’re about to work on serious art when you’re fuckin twenty-five

you kind of do have to let multiple layers of meaning and metaphor coexist rather than claiming one is the true reading if you want to get fucking anything out of art
