Canon Events that have happened over the three episodes that have me going INSANE (like, these actually happened and are not Fanon.)
Buck asked Tommy for a tour of Harbour, not because he wanted to consider learning to fly, or leave the 118, but soley because he wanted to hang out with Tommy.
Buck used Christopher for information on Tommy.
Buck pretended to suddenly be into Basketball so that he could go to the game, just because he knew Eddie and Tommy would be there.
MADDIE MOCKED BUCK ABOUT OPENLY HAVING A CRUSH ON EDDIE.
Buck body slammed Eddie while playing Basketball (honestly, I still cannot get over the fact that he YEETED THIS BOII).
Tommy got Buck's address from Eddie and chose to come around to apologise to Buck even though, TECHNICALLY, Buck was the one acting like a spoilt brat all episode.
BUCK WAS KISSED BY A MAN. SPECIFICALLY, BUCK WAS KISSED BY TOMMY. And then proceeded to be swept off his feet by this man and was left starstruck in his apartment, after Tommy openly communicated that he had to go to work and wasn't just kissing and bailing.
"I'm an Ally."... Need I say no more.
Buck acted like a totally fucking idiot on his first date with Tommy, and proceeded to have Tommy cut the date short because of how unready he seemed. WHICH BY THE WAY, TOMMY AGAIN COMMUNICATED SO BEAUTIFULLY WITH BUCK AND PROCEEDED TO STILL CALL THIS MAN ADORABLE. HE CALLED HIM ADORABLE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.
Buck accidently outed himself to Maddie because he was doing a ramble ramble about his lil buck'ed up date.
Buck told Eddie he was on a date with Tommy, and Eddie proceeded to be the bestie of besties to Buck and told him, they all loved him anyways. HE USED THE WORDS. Bucks face in that scene will forever make my lil gay heart WEEP.
Buck told Eddie he couldn't stop thinking about the hot pilot that kissed him. CRYING.
Buck proceeded to grow the fuck up and apologised to Tommy, face to face, out in a public space, knowing full well that Tommy could have dropped his ass there and then, but still wanted to show him how sorry he was, and that he was, in fact, ready.
BUCK INVITED TOMMY TO BE HIS DATE TO THE MADNEY WEDDING DESPITE ONLY technically GOING ON TWO DATES. AND THEN TOMMY. SAID. YES. HE SAID YES. YES.
Buck also then invited Tommy to Chim's bachelor party, HELD HIS ARMS OPEN ACROSS THE ROOM READY FOR A HUG, told Tommy off for his outfit, showing off true Clipboard Buck form, AND THEN TOUCHED HIS PECK.
Eddie, the bestie of besties, got all sappya and jokey when he saw Tommy and Buck together.
Buck got all pouty when Tommy had to go to work, BUT TOLD HIM TO BE SAFE. HE SAID BE SAFE DAMNIT.
Buck got all goofy and smiley when he saw that Tommy had arrived at the hospital, MEANING, that he was most likely texting Tommy all day updating him on everything that was going on, even if Tommy couldn't respond while attending to the fire.
BUCK. CALLED. TOMMY. A. BEAST. HE SAID THIS CANONICALLY. ARE YOU JOKING. HE FULLY ATTACKED MY MAN, WHILE HE WAS COVERED IN SOOT AND SHIT, SNOGGED HIS FACE OFF IN A HOSPITAL WAITING ROOM, AND CALLED HIM A BEAST. I AM DECEASED.
Buck, the idiot that he is, proceeded to out himself, to his entire family, by coming back into the room, most likely 15 to 20 minutes after leaving, covered in soot because he had been uncontrollably making out with his hot pilot boyfriend.
Eddie, the bestie of besties, GOT SO FUCKING SMUG WHEN HE SAW BUCK AND TOMMY WALK BACK IN THAT ROOM. HE PULLED THE SAME FACE I PULL WHEN MY FRIENDS HAVE COME BACK FROM MAKING OUT WITH PEOPLE AND I AM HERE FOR IT. EDDIE YOU BESTIE SLAY SLAY SLAY.
Hen, the queen that she is, has most likely spoken to Karen about her suspicons of Buck's sexuality, and procceed to say ABOUT DAMN TIME. SHE KNEW THIS WHOLE TIME. HER GAYDAR IS ON FIRE. I LOVE HER.
Again, all of these events happened IN ACTUAL EPISODES, not in a fanfiction. I am FERAL over this. Bi!Buck is the best thing to ever happen to me.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk and if you don't ship BuckTommy, leave.

god. from every angle that video call hurts so fucking bad like ok. you are christopher diaz. your dad is doing his best. you know this. it still fucking hurts. your mom died and your dad does stuff that scares you sometimes and one day you came home and for the briefest moment you thought your mom was back again, but it turns out it was your dad chasing ghosts like he always does. and that's his best. that's his very, absolute, utmost best. and you have to live with the fact that he loves you and it's not enough to stop him from doing things that hurt you, even if he doesn't mean to. and every time he calls, it's just a visceral, sick reminder of what he did. you can't stop looking at your dad's face and remembering that fleeting, childish hope. and all that's left over after you're done being hurt is the anger.
or you're eddie diaz, and your son is still pulling away. it's been three months and you can't stop scrambling desperately for something, anything you can say to make him come back. you put up streamers. you invite over your friends. you get party hats and noise makers and you pray that this time it'll be enough. this will be enough love and care. you love him so much. you love him so much and it's not enough. your mom doesn't even let you watch the whole happy birthday song.
or you're buck, and you love this kid too. and it's almost like everyone forgot. they forgot that you pulled him out of a tsunami. they forgot that you'll be his guardian if your best friend in the whole world dies. but you're not the one who lost a kid, that's your best friend. you need to be there to hold him together while he's falling apart. and you get this chance to surprise this kid you love while doing something for your best friend, and he doesn't even notice. this kid, who isn't your kid, but you love anyway, and haven't seen in months, doesn't even acknowledge you. and you have to watch your best friend break in half again, and there's nothing you can do about it.
or, frankly, you're tommy kinard. and you're in this new relationship with a beautiful, sweet, thoughtful man. and maybe he's a little close with his best friend, but that's fine, because you like his best friend too. in fact, his best friend is quickly becoming a close friend of yours. and you don't talk much about your past, your family, how utterly fucking lonely you were before this ball of sunshine and his goofy codependent bestie fell into your lap. but they know it wasn't great, and that your dad was kind of a piece of shit. but your new friend, and your newer boyfriend, they love this kid more than your dad could have ever loved you. they put up streamers. they invite you to surprise him because he thinks you're cool. they give you a party hat and your boyfriend is smiling all hopeful and giddy. you never remember your dad being this happy to see you. and all they get is a blank face and a cut signal. they don't even get to sing him happy birthday.

I love how neither of the people Buck reached out to for advice after the date were like "oh you Bucked that up just call it a wash buddy."
Maddie gets through the 'hey Pronouns, buddy, what do you mean he' of it all relatively unscathed, and the 'well, no, actually, little bro, the pronoun could very much be the reason you freaked a bit, lets unpack that', and *hair toss*'its not...ab...normal' and the 'ofc it's the same Tommy if any of us had known you liked dudes you probably wouldn't have had to maim your best friend about it'.
"You'll tell him when you're ready." Maddie says and Buck internalized that with the rest of the things they've said. He's gonna think about it. He is currently thinking about it. He's gonna analyze this six ways from Sunday.
And rather than keep harping about the things Maddie has pointed out, rather than dig and press and turn the convo to something like "so guys, now, I mean you clearly made a mess of the first guy but what's your type what are you looking for etc etc"
Maddie took one look at Buck and knew the only way to move the conversation was "So tell me about the hot pilot." And Buck's Aw Shucks smile lights the whole room.
Eddie listened to his best friend say 'he dumped me I mean we weren't actually together but I messed up and he dumped me' and immediately knew his bestie was down bad. He only asked "What do you think?" because he knew Buck wanted/needed to confirm it out loud - I kinda can't stop thinking about him.
And Eddie knows a bit about Tommy now - is probably putting some pieces of the puzzle together from Tommy's side too - and between the two of them he knows this is resolvable. He knows that if Buck reaches out again there's a VERY good chance Tommy will answer. (And if he doesn't he doesn't deserve you but also he thinks you're a weirdo and he Likes It, clearly).
He reiterates it. Call Tommy. If you really see yourself having something good with him, Call Him and work it out.
Both of them hear Buck's clear desire for his mistake to Not be the end of it and I just think that for Buck to go to two of his people and get 'hey, do this at your own pace but I have faith that if you want this you'll make it work' was a delightful way to gentle Buck in the right direction.

can you elaborate on why you think 911 is conservative with its queer rep
sure, i mean i talked about the show's conservative approach to systems of power while looking liberal with its diversity etc. before and i think it also goes for queer rep in the sense that it has many queer characters but queer characters are only allowed to be queer without reminding the average cishet audience they're that different from them. they can be queer but they need to conform to what is digestible to a heterosexual/heteronormative audience. they're queer when the show needs to remind the audience of their romantic partners (or in josh's case when he needs to play the gay bestie) or in very rare moments they make a statement (hen's speech in s2).
i don't think this is the type of show that'll ever have a pride episode, for example. or explicit queer solidarity between buck and hen. or women flirting with hen on calls like they do with buck and eddie. or a talk about open relationships or polyamory which i think realistically would be a talking point for queer men in buck and tommy's situation. i seriously doubt it can show what dating for a bi person looks like (a lot of biphobia, let me tell you) once buck starts dating again nor show him explore and join queer spaces. i don't think we'll ever see a lesbian friend group/support system for hen and karen. etc etc.
i know many people would disagree with this because there's a very queer found family feeling to the show and none of what i said changes the fact that this type of rep is valuable too but it's only a queer show as much as it can be while keeping in that conformist space.

Old School
****
Buck didn't know what to say the first time someone asked him. It didn't make any sense - he was in a same-sex relationship, that was the whole point. What did they mean by "which one of you is the woman?"
Casual homophobia wasn't something he had prepared himself for when he and Tommy started dating. He'd braced himself for outright hatred, for angry confrontations, but these casual, almost friendly questions caught him off guard. The comments that people didn't even realize were offensive.
One particular incident was at a badge and ladder bar near the 118. Buck and Tommy had been on opposing shifts and were excited to see each other, so maybe they got a bit zealous with their hellos.
"Which one of you is the chick in bed?" a drunk man in an LAFD hoodie asked, stumbling closer to their table.
Tommy was usually so even-keeled. That's what made his reaction all the more startling to Buck.
"You think it's okay to talk about people's sex lives?" Tommy asked, his voice dangerously calm.
"Sorry, man," the drunk firefighter slurred, "but you guys just don't seem fruity."
"Oh fuck," Buck thought, recognizing the calm before the storm in Tommy's expression.
"Fruity?" Tommy repeated, still maintaining his dangerous calm. "So because I'm not prancing around in a rainbow tutu, I don't fit your narrow view of what a gay man should be?"
"Dude, I'm sorry, it's just weird to me. I like the ladies," the man said, swaying slightly.
"So does he," Tommy said sharply, pointing to Buck. "Sexuality isn't a black and white thing. But you're too drunk to have that conversation, and I'm too annoyed to try."
"Whatever, man," the drunk firefighter said, waving his hand dismissively. "Enjoy making out."
"We will," Tommy replied, pulling Buck into a deep kiss. When they broke apart, he kept his eyes locked on the drunk firefighter. "And we'll enjoy a lot more than that too."
Buck couldn't help but grin, both at Tommy's response and at the man's reddening face. He wrapped an arm around Tommy's waist, pressing closer. "Much more."
The drunk firefighter muttered something under his breath and stumbled away.
"Sorry about him," another man said as he approached their table. "He's not homophobic, he's just an idiot."
Tommy and Buck exchanged a look - they'd heard that before.
"If he's not homophobic, what would you call those comments?" Tommy asked, his earlier calm now edged with frustration.
"He's just old school, you know? Not used to seeing two guys together. Especially not guys like you." The man gestured vaguely at them.
"Guys like us?" Buck's voice was sharp. "You mean firefighters? Or do you mean guys who don't fit your stereotype of what queer men should look like?"
"Look, I didn't mean—"
"No, you did mean," Tommy cut in. "Look, I appreciate you trying to apologize for him, but casual homophobia is still homophobia. And 'old school' isn't an excuse for intolerance. Neither is being drunk."
"Hey, sorry we're late," Bobby called out as he approached with Hen, Chimney, and Eddie. His eyes quickly assessed the tension at the table. "Is there a problem here?"
The other firefighter shifted uncomfortably. "No, no problem. Just heading out," he said, retreating quickly.
"Just some drunk guy making comments about me and Tommy," Buck explained, his jaw still tight. "Then his friend trying to excuse it as him being 'old school.'"
Hen raised an eyebrow. "Let me guess - 'you don't seem gay?'
"Bingo" Tommy deadpanned.
"But apparently it's fine because he's not homophobic, he's just an idiot," Buck finished, mimicking air quotes.
Chimney let out a low whistle. "No wonder it looked tense over here."
"You two sure you're okay?" Bobby asked, studying both of them with concern.
"Yeah, we're fine," Buck replied.
Hen let out a dry laugh. "You should hear how many people refer to me and Karen as 'besties' even after I introduce her as my wife. Like they just can't compute it."
"Tell them about what happened at Harbor last week," Buck said to Tommy, shaking his head.
Tommy rolled his eyes. "One of the guys thought he was hilarious, and called Evan my 'little wife' when he brought me lunch."
"Like bringing food to your partner is somehow a gender role thing," Buck added.
"As if every relationship has to fit into their narrow little box," Hen agreed.
As their friends sat down, the tension slowly eased. The night shifted into something better - trading stories, sharing drinks, laughing together. It wasn't perfect, Buck thought, watching Tommy joke with Eddie about something. These moments of casual prejudice would keep happening. But having people in their corner sure made it easier to handle.

the BoBs are turning on bucks coming out scene at the wedding now, saying it did nothing but make a joke out of it, that tommy pushed buck into it, it’s so out of character, the show didn’t take it seriously etc…
i swear everyone loved the coming out scene when it first happened? but now, because it’s linked to tommy, they have to hate it.
some people are even ragging on maddie for saying “how long have you been leaning in the other DIRECTION” because apparently calling it a direction is derogatory.
like. it was the perfect, most Buck way of coming out, just a face full of soot from making out with his hot pilot boyfriend. it’s a lovely, lighthearted moment, which is exactly what Tim said he wanted to do. None of Buck’s coming out scenes were serious or sad.
All of Buck’s coming out scenes were very lighthearted- meaningful, but lighthearted. When Buck came out to maddie, he was more bothered that he’d lied to eddie about what he was doing that night rather than the fact he was on a date with a man (which, that scene always gets twisted because maddie says “if there’s something you need to tell eddie” (not verbatim) and the BoBs always took that as maddie pushing buddie, but the whole scene is very clearly centred around Buck feeling guilty about lying to eddie about what he was doing). When he came out to Eddie, he was again more bothered about clearing up that he was on a date with a man, not out with a friend.
Buck, on screen, was never, not one singular time, bothered that he was on a date with a man. He felt bad about lying to his bestfriend about it, but we never saw Buck feel unsure about or debate his bisexuality, he came to terms with it in a way many bisexual people do. It just clicked for him, it didn’t trouble him.
So, sorry that none of the coming out scenes were sad, sorry that the hospital coming out scene wasn’t a bigger deal, but Buck didn’t think it was a big deal, so it didn’t need to be one. He just wanted to introduce everyone to his new boyfriend- not because he’s a man, but because they’re together.
Sorry this was long. been pent up for a while. Hope it made sense.
It makes perfect sense!!
And you know what? Fuck whoever is saying those negative things about the way Buck came out.
Why does everything have to be such a huge fucking production? This isn't 13 reasons why, it's fucking 911. They do not dredge shit like this through the mud. And honestly thank god because coming out, in a way that's comfortable for you and not making it feel like something you HAVE to do is honestly a really beautiful thing to see.
I am so sick and tired of bestie boos wanting shit to be the slowest of slow burns.
And you know what else? The only reason they're backtracking now I because they have nothing else. Ryan and Oliver aren't doing bts just the two of them, Oliver isn't reacting to anything really.
I hope they understand that they're slow burn that they wanted so fucking bad is actually taking place on the actors they claim to love. They're burnt out and honestly I can't wait for the first sign of Buddie being pulverized.

OOh, i like streamer au!
First question: how did Tommy begin to stream?
Second question: does tommy recognised Buck from the chat? Maybe he has an inkling given by an unique turn of phrase or a weird word he is the only one to use.
third question: how does Buck recognising him change their first meeting and their date?
Fourth question: which is your favourite part? What didnt make the cut but was an interesting concept?
Obviously, i love your writing, i'm always giddy when you post anew snippet and i don't even watch 911!
Omg thank you so much!!!
Twitch Streamer Tommy
ONE:
I think it started out as a joke tbh. Like one of his friends was visiting and saw Tommy's truly ridiculous set up for it, and was like "Dude you should stream this" and Tommy thought "Eh, fuck it" and did. And it picked up fast and does surprisingly well, so he just keeps doing it.
It's big enough that it's a little extra income, but not so huge that he's a Big Name re: gaming streamers or anything. He's got some friends in Europe or something that help him mod the chat. People keep telling him to make t shirts, but that sounds like too much work and he's already fucking busy, so he doesn't.
He does at one point get a 'remove before flight' t shirt at an air show, and wears it on a stream one time and takes it off before takeoff, and people go fucking nuts.
TWO:
I think Tommy would recognize Buck's handle as someone who is frequently in chat and is pretty active, but I don't know if he'd make the connection about the handle name actually being Evan, without Buck saying something. Tommy does interact with the chat a lot, but he is also actively flying while he streams. It's a lot of glancing over, seeing a question, and answering it. In Tommy's mind the chat is kind of it's own entity, instead of a bunch of individual people.
THREE:
Buck hasn't really conceptualized that what he has on Tommy is a crush. He just thinks Tommy's cool. And then he's suddenly being flown into a hurricane by the man, and it turns out Tommy actually flying is somehow hotter more interesting than Tommy playing a video game. Because this is real. This is actually life or death, and Tommy's a fucking excellent pilot and Buck is. He's just flustered. About it.
Buck's trying to find a delicate way to be like "ARE YOU REMOVEB4FLIGHT?" even though they're on the tail end of the cruise debacle, but Eddie beats him to it. Eddie just asks Tommy point blank "Do you play video games online? I think my son watches your show" and then Tommy gets flustered. Obviously pleased and surprised, because he's never been ~recognized IRL~ and the first time he has, it's by a peer because his kid watches. There's something really exciting about that.
I think it's Christopher that tells Tommy that Buck also watches the streams and how it's a Thing They Do Together. (Chris, of course, gets to learn how to play flight simulator on Tommy's ridiculous setup) And Tommy's like "huh" because Evan didn't say anything. Buck is stewing in jealousy because how come Eddie gets to hang out with the cool firefighter pilot and Chris, instead of him? Eddie doesn't even care about the streams >:(
I don't think Buck asks for a tour, he hears about the Vegas trip after the fact and is just green with envy. But I do think the basketball game still happens, and Tommy comes to Buck's apartment to clear the air. Because Tommy now knows that Buck is vaguely a fan, and Buck knows that Tommy knows, I don't think there'd be a smooch.
The added aspect of Entertainer and Fan would make it kind of weird, they're not necessarily on a level playing field (yet). Buck isn't starstruck per se, but he's also not just another firefighter Tommy met on a job. Tommy sticks to assuming that yes, Buck is jealous, but that it's a combination of Eddie being his bestie and Tommy having minor amounts of internet fame.
BUT THEN they do start hanging out, both with and without Eddie and/or Chris, and become friends. And Tommy starts to look at Evan and go "...is he?" and Buck is oblivious because he's hanging out with Tommy and Tommy's so cool and yeah he's got a good ass but it's not like Buck is staring at it a lot (he is) and Eddie is looking at the two of them dance around each other and going "HUH. INTERESTING."
FOUR:
I think it's just a fun concept in general, and I do love it when there's more of a slow burn when characters get together. Friends to lovers is *chef's kiss* and all that jazz.
I did think about including snippets of Tommy interacting w/ the chat, but ultimately scrapped those because it seemed like too much extra stuff. But I think at least once a stream, something like this happens:
Chat 1: so is there a Mrs. B4FLIGHT?
Tommy: *snorts and starts laughing*
Mod 1: no
Tommy: "I'm not interested in women."
Mod 2: dumb comments will result in getting blocked
Chat 2: you don't look gay
Mod 1: BLOCKED
Mod 2: BLOCKED

There is this one storyline somewhere that I think either I watched somewhere, read somewhere, or just dreamt or thought abt but it’s stuck in my head lately and it’s soooo perfect for buddie, that I must share because I can’t write fanfics but I can tell you guys the ideas my silly little brain comes up with:
Three words
Buck car crash
Bonus points if Chris is in the backseat (we are sick and twisted for the fact that ik yall will agree)
Okay but to the actual idea
So Buck’s car crashes but in the end all of them are fine and obviously the jeep has a lot of sentimental value so when he sees the ruins of it it hits him hard and the mechanic or whoever is like cos it’s an old car and had some problems and the damage is so bad it’s better easier and cheaper for you to just get a new one
Now this part is specifically from the storyline with ambiguous origins not just cos of my hatred toward a certain Thomas but in that story the girl’s (?) bf is like a secret subtle asshole in the dismissive way like he kinda just says like oh the crash could’ve been worse, you should be thankful, it’s just a car, you can buy a new one that’s the same make, all that jazz - so imma honestly say that that reaction tracks for tommy ngl
Okay as I’m writing this I’m realising that storyline may 88% be from a dream so maybe we DO know the origins of it (yes I dream in stories sometimes)
Anyways so buck is like it wouldn’t be the same it wouldn’t have this sentimental thing or this idk sharpie writing or this nail polish stain or this blah blah blah
but ultimately he’s like you know what? okay yeah you’re right and says goodbye to the jeep
And the best friend- Eddie- knows or is there for all this and goes behind Buck’s back and buys the damaged car from the place (I’m just a girl 🎀 is it called a junkyard or do they take it to like a mechanic lot or what?) and fixes up the car in secret and keeps as much of the original pieces as possible and keeps the pieces he can’t salvage to turn into some sort of keepsake like idk cutting parts of the metal and turning it into some sort of trinket (realistic car restoration? Not round here partner not round here🤠)
Bonus points for emotional moment when he has to fix the interior of the car and sees the blood remnants from the crash
Skip forward to a big celebration like Christmas or a birthday or something (birthday is my preference for this plot but Christmas does canonically make buddie gayer so 🤷🏽♀️) and the actual boyfriend got a good but generic present like idk a nice sweater (idk what you get boyfriends?) and ofc the bestie has the secret restored car
BUT
The bestie SWAPS WITH THE BOYFRIEND
Big sentimental reaction toward having the car back, thanks exchanged, Eddie looking on yada yada
After the party or maybe just a quiet moment at the party Eddie is chilling outside or whatever and then buck approaches and is like *meaningful look* “thank you” and Eddie is like tryna play it off and be like ah yes ik how much you love sweaters *mental facepalm* and then buck is like🤨 unimpressed cut the bullshit face and he’s like no Thank you™️ (in bold and italics and tm to communicate to you guys the tone) and eddie drops the act and is just like “fuck how did you know?” and then buck is like “I’ve never mentioned half those minor details or their sentimental value to him before” and then Eddie once again tries to play it off and be like “well I helped but it was him” and then cue unimpressed cut the bs look no2 and Eddie gives up and is like you’re welcome (do I need to tell you guys why I’m putting this in bold and italics or can you envision the cow eyes that go with this line?)
*soft smiles from both*
Then the scene literally ends with them sat next to eachother on a bench or wherever they are and chatting abt none sense or maybe over the semantics of actually fixing the car while they do the little head leaning on the shoulder thing
#911#buddie#evan buckley#911 abc#911 fox#911onfox#eddie diaz#evan buck buckley#buckley diaz family#buddie fanfic#I feel like I’m baiting you guys with that tag but it’s for the demographic like this isn’t a fic but it’s and idea I’ll never write and#belongs in this tag even if it won’t be written🤩#anti bucktommy#anti tommy kinard#fics I’ll probably never write

I wish fans would stop dissecting Buck/Tommy scenes but enjoy them for what they are: flirty banter between two lovers. Oliver stated in an interview he and Tim agreed to keep this relationship on the lighter side, more like a rom-com.
But no people go and dissect it like an alien discovered by NASA in a backyard.
When Tommy throws the line, "God, I hope so," he is nothing but hinting at the age difference, which is, give or take, about 7 years. So what? Seven years is nothing. Still, Tommy refers to it but means it as a joke. And Buck even blushes a little.
I can't remember we've ever seen Buck that flirty and all smiles whenever he and one of his many GFs where together. Can't the pearl clutchers be happy for him because he is finally who he is? Without having to hide a part of his sexuality that he kept buried deep inside before he met Tommy. A side he couldn't even show to Eddie. A side he knew was there but never dared to explore? Tommy came into Buck's life and opened this cage. He understands Buck on a totally different level than Eddie ever could. We see that Eddie has no gaydar. He was also clueless about Tommy being gay. Being so close to Buck, like the tin hats want them to be, he must have realized that Buck isn't only into women but guys as well. "Buddie" lived practically out of each other's pockets. And not once did Eddie ask, "Could it be that you aren't just into girls?" In a serious manner, not as a joke.
How about dissecting Eddie's dating "issues" with the doppelganger of his deceased wife? Does this imply Eddie's into necrophilia? This is ridiculous. It would be only one of their reactions. The nicer one, I guess. But it is no different from their daddy-kink nonsense.
What's wrong with these tin hats who are constantly complaining about LIs in general. No matter if it's Buck or Eddie? Shoving your favorite ship down everybody else's throat is the opposite of being open-minded and tolerant.
If Buddie should ever become canon, they will need a lot of patience. Eddie suffers from PTSD and is mentally unstable. Now, he lost his son. He has so much on his plate already. The last thing he needs right now is Buck coming over him like a force of nature and telling him he loves him. That would be the final straw if you want to see him end up in a loony bin. Eddie has to be on his own for some time to find out what and who he really wants. Something that would have to be stretched at least over a few episodes, if not over a full season. If it should be realistic. It took them 100 episodes to address Buck's bi-sexuality. And we saw hints here and there. We never saw hints of it concerning Eddie. Why do these "fans" think you can turn him bi from one moment to the other? Like Oliver said, it's not what he wanted for his character that Buck is bi, and suddenly, everyone else around him has some sort of sexual awakening. Since when can't a bisexual or gay man can't have a heterosexual bestie?
Also, bashing and harassing an actor for a part he is playing shows how sick these tin hats are. Or do they really think they could scare him off the show with their immature behavior and their unfounded hatred? Such behavior never ended a series character, let alone made a showrunner diverge from his plans and suddenly turn his show into a fan service-only show. Get a life ASAP, you tin hats and spread your toxic behavior among your ilk. It's not our fault you're leading a sad life full of envy and h*te. I am so sorry for you all. Fueled with so much anger must turn you into embittered personalities with no fun and no friends. How many of you opened sock puppet accounts to have at least someone to talk to? Living in an echo chamber can be exhausting at times...

i am dying to know what the plan was for lou’s original four episode run because like. by his ‘second’ episode tommy was already besties with eddie and playing basketball with his pals eddie and chim and half of the LA first responders like… tim what was the plan. tim why did you write him in so much if you intended to write him straight out again? was he meant to just become persona non grata with all of them within two episodes?? was he meant to suddenly move away?? alien abduction? everyone gets their memories wiped by dr strange in a special MCU crossover episode? truly one of life’s great mysteries
If I’m being honest? I think the original plan was either:
A) for the “Evan I think you’re adorable, but I don’t think you’re ready” to really be the end of them romantically and if there was an appearance of Tommy in the wedding episode it would be as Chim’s friend not as Buck’s boyfriend.
B) that they didn’t feel the need to include him in the latter eps of the season for people to know they were still dating but decided they needed to make it crystal clear by doing the accursed iconic Dinner Scene

god the more I think about it the more I think that buck has know his feelings for eddie AT LEAST since tommy kissed him, if not before. like it just so strongly reads to me as "im so deeply and stupidly in love with my best friend and I refuse to face it but I also refuse to be even a little bit normal about him even though i know well never be able to be together because he is straight. oh hey this guy trying to steal my bestie seems interested in ME this means I can both keep him from eddie and try to get over eddie at the same time. WOOPS my best friend just crashed my date if he even catches a whiff if me being queer ues gonna KNOW I'm in love with him time to double down on the straight bro energy. woops got ditched right after ok. time to spend the next few days way more broken up about lying to my bestie than getting dumped. whats that maddie? confused about my feelings? nonono i know whats happening here and its very much not allowed thanks. omg bestie pent up sexually? wish I could help- I MEAN IN A TOTALLY PLATONOC NON-SEXUAL WAY. bestie having relationship issues? perfect moment to slip in a little coming out moment. maybe he'll get the hint and we kiss? oh this changes nothing? cool cool cool cool cool anyways I can't stop thinking about that guy I spent the last few days very much not thinking about while i obsessed over you and also get back with your gf bc if you're single I might do something stupid like kiss you. time to throw myself into ANOTHER relationship with the genuine hope it'll work out but the innate understanding that it'll never actually last because they'll never be you hahaha no baby don't destroy your life by cheating with ur dead wife's doppelganger ur so sexy. now you're single so I could be single but then I might do something stupid like kiss you and you're life is literally falling apart and so well just put that back in a box and I'll keep on dating the Gays For Trump advocate over here in solidarity"

Buddie realization earlier than expected? (Theory: looong)
Ok so what led me on this train of thought was bc I’ve been thinking about is the beginning of season 7 when Eddie is talking with Buck about Chris being a player. Eddie says “I don’t know where he gets it from, I married the first girl that I dated”. Fast forward to season 8 and bummy breakup and Turkish delight telling Buck that he’s his first and won’t be his last blah blah. Now let’s go to how Buck was ofc as usual ready to move in with Travel Agent and be serious. We’ve seen Buck from season 4 onward pushing to settle down and it was assumed that was bc of the Abby closure at the end of season 3 BUT…what if it’s not? What if it’s really a nod to Bucks need to be close to Eddie and in this sense I mean more mentally and theoretically.
Although Buck has seen Eddies relationships fall apart multiple times he has always tried to be like Eddie and establish “security” in a partner and eventually a family- something that he found in Eddie and Chris- but also really hasn’t bc Eddie has continually given up that spot that Buck unofficially holds as part of the Diaz family for years. However throughout the time Buck has known Eddie , the spot as Eddies best friend has been secured by him…until Trumpet. Once he was introduced Buck panicked(the first spot in Eddies life was already taken by Marisol and now there was competition for the other) so he did what he could to right the situation-remove Tourniquet from Eddies life himself. Buck found a willing substitute for Eddie while also ensuring that he would be Eddies secured first(bestie slash “platonic” life partner).
Back to the Eddie marrying his first and Torpedo saying that they can’t last BECAUSE he’s his first. I think at some point this is going to be brought up or referenced to, especially with the stills showing a depressed Buck. I think he has mentally seen Trombone being his first as something that relates to the validity of his relationship with Eddie. With him trying to emulate and fill the gap that not holding that “true” top spot in Eddies life and provide reason for why he should be okay being only Eddies bestfriend. Buck will at some point think well you married your first and overall it worked out great right(despite the divorce and her dying…)? You have your kid you got to experience the love etc. This is why despite multiple little(and not so little) references to Triste not being the one for him( the Evan Thing, “You wanted MY attention”, he’s good for you - how do you know that?, I gave you basketball tickets for our anniversary when you don’t like basketball, Do you love him?…, I led on the woman that changed your outlook on relationships and completely broke her heart), he still proceeds to ask Tommy to move in with him.
So then comes the question Why Buck? Why are you so heartbroken over this when you know deep down Trashcan was right? Because the whole thing was a product of his fear that he wont be important in eddies life forever. And from the articles Eddie is supposed to have a unique reaction to the breakup which I think is he is going to be completely care free about it in a “What can you do way”. This again will bring up Why do you care this much? Everyone else is moving on, you weren’t even this bad with Abby. I can totally see Buck having a meltdown about it. Another unique thing that hasn’t really happened before- Eddie is relatively free of emotional and mental weight atm while Buck is the complete opposite. Either both have been down bad or Buck was the free one and Eddie needed him. If Eddie reacts how I think in addition to everything else, this will be when Buck realizes what he truly wants from Eddie. Buck has always been there for him when the roles were reversed so Eddie not making it a priority will probably cause a I’m always there for him? Why is that and why am I so angry that he’s not as devastated as I am that our-I mean- me and Trampoline’s relationship didn’t work. This is all going to lead to Buck ending this episode or next episode with the realization that he has real romantic feelings for Eddie. BUTT I might just be way off and Eddie gets really protective and threatens Turnips life for not seeing how great Buck is and then asks Buck to marry him instead🙂.
Also this is probably hard to follow but it makes more sense in my head promise

hey sofia! how are you? any new wips you have that you could a sneak peak for? any old ones you miss working on? have a good day!
omg stop i love this question!! hi nonny!! im oki, just busy<3 how are you?? also yes!! ill share a lil smth of each °❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
so as for new wips, im working on a stablished buddietommy fic that should be ready on tuesday if all goes well
Buck made a sound at that, hiding in Eddie’s neck. He placed a few lazy kisses right under his pulse point, relishing in the little mewl it got him. “What time is it?” “Late enough to get on with the day,” Eddie whispered, glancing at Tommy from over Buck’s frame. He was still asleep, covered to his pits. So, that’s who’d taken the sheets. “Want any breakfast?”
i also have an abandoned buddie fic (jealous + getting together). idk whether to continue, what do you think?
Putting the phone down, an idea brew deep down. It’s not like he’d encourage himself to pursue it, but these days his free will was dauntingly compromised. He swallowed. This could go one of two ways, and he wasn’t very keen on finding out which. However, the more he thought about it, the more appealing it sounded. His pleasure wasn’t his own anymore, and giving away the one part of himself he could control could do the trick. To forget, to move on. Move on from Eddie.
concerning wips that i have paused we have murder husbands, which i swear im getting back to. heres a snippy from chapter 4
He swallowed, the man’s spit running down his throat and out the corners of his mouth. Messily. “Fuck me,” he urged; demanded. Buck’s right hand flew up, covering half his face with it. He felt the back of his eyes tense. Too much pressure. “I don’t take orders from you.”
and my absolute love love baby wip which is the prince au (snippy from chapter 3):
The stranger was slightly shorter than the Prince, dressed in proper, yet not elegant enough attire to be a royal. His hair was darker than night, and so were his eyes, although what stood apart the most was the overwhelming worry on them. His hand traveled from the Prince’s upper arm to his forearm, then back up. Then Edmundo put his head on the man’s shoulder.
id also share something from Arcane3 (the build a fic game fic - see pinned post on my blog), but this post is already entirely too long so sdfghj thank you for ur ask i truly enjoyed answering <33 MHAW

I liked that Buck seemed, for once, really pissed at Hen and Eddie for taking his phone. Sure, friends should help you stay strong when dealing with a break-up but coming from a bunch of people who are ALL on their second or third try with their person (or tried to with a doppelgänger), it just looked a bit rich. I was never a fan of Hen trying to talk Chim out of marrying Maddie or how they all talked about Abby when she left, especially when they did plenty of fighting, fleeing the state and cheating in their own relationships. Bucks break ups were all the hight of civil and amicable in contrast
Not the doppelgänger please I'm trying to erase that from my memory 💀
I get what you are saying. The problem is they have to choose one of those to show, either the funny friendship banter and protectiveness, in the end buck did get dumped, and everyone else don't know the whole story, so the logical thing is to not let him text/call him.. or the side where they have a deep conversation and try to suggest a more logical solution (like the eddie and buck convo in 7.05) .. and they chose the comedic path, which isn't bad honestly I'm not mad at that cuz no body actually bad mouthed tommy, they were just trying to do the basic logical thing, giving the circumstances.. so good to know they are still all friends to some level 🤷🏻♀️
And about their own relationships, you see whats different is every other character actually chose to persuade and go after their partner no matter what advice was given to them.
I don't exactly remember what happened with hen and chim when she cheated in s1, but iirc chim just brushed it off and they laughed (hen saying something like i feel like I'm a different person, and chim saying you are still a lesbian no? Correct me if I'm wrong, but you get my point). And hen was the one who fought for karen, she didn't wait for someone to tell her to do that
The same thing goes for chimney, even tho his bestie told him not to go after maddie, he didn't listen, he explained that he have to, and did what he needed to do. And even with Tatiana, yes hen explicitly told him she doesn't like her and he doesn'towe her anything, but he still talked to her to have a closure (again i don't remember which happened first)
Eddie? Well, that's a whole different path lol but yeah, even him he does what HE wants to do and what feels right despite what consequences he could suffer from, and what advices he get from people around him (giving Shanon a second chance, marisol moving in/out, Kim's whatever *gesture a hand* situation) you get it
Except buck 🤷🏻♀️ buck listens to people around him way too much, and yeah, most of the time, they do give him good advice, and things work out to a level, but a good advice doesnt always equal what you need, and sometimes the good advice is only good in theory cuz other people aren't actually living the situation, and definitely don't have the full Picture.. hopefully, this time buck does choose what he needs to do, that would actually be a great growth for his character
And one more point, the phone snatching is literally the most annoying move between friends, so i get him lol
#oopsie this became too long 🫣#911#911 spoilers#bucktommy#<- related? well putting it to be safe#ask

When he dropped the urn my mama went “there goes your fortune… and your mama” lmao
Eddie really put this priest through the ringer, his expressions: ↘️↖️↗️↔️
Your son, your best friend hmmm?
You deserve forgiveness Eddie 😭 promise
Madney second baby!!!
Did they fix the “mama” from Jee? It sounds better than the sneak peek I think
Buck is such an awkward duckling
I love you
Some Himbo? I know where this is going
“Abby Clark”
My mama “WHAT!!? i-i-ie, that’s not something you want in common”

Just his guts 🤢
“I’m dying and this shirt is ruined”
Mama “that’s what you’re worried about?”
I wonder how many guys
“She didn’t bring her business to work” glances at Maddie “Unlike some other people” Josh 🤣
I know you tell Maddie everything too, don’t even
Maddie is so confused by Josh’s speech 🤣
I get what Josh is trying to say but there’s a difference between being in the closet and getting engaged to someone knowing you’re not into them
Chim 😭
Was it worth it the last time - damn Maddie
Maddie take off your jewelry!
That look on Maddie’s face - “omgod she’s pregnant”
My mama “how do you know!?”
“Did you not see the look on her face?”
Me glancing up from the floor to see her scrolling on her phone
“No”
Me “Hmmm”
Oooh the priest was behind Eddie in line
“Why did you denied yourself the juice”

Buck, you’ve been dating six months, why are you asking him to move in 😭
Here’s the thing Bucks been my boy since 1x01 so I’m really sad that what he said looks like it’s gonna stick with him 😭
Ngl it was a jerk move for Tommy to say it so definitive like that, Bucks definitely gonna internalize it
(Also movies were not good luck for them huh?)
Chim & Maddie 🥺
I love them
I love them being so open and honest with each other
They’re gonna have another baby 🥹

And she was like “would you open the door to (friend) in your bra and undies”
And I was like “nooo but I’ve never take care of (friend) the way Buck has sooo”
Also (friend) and I are not whatever Buck & Eddie are lol cuz they are not typical besties (they love each other 👨❤️💋👨) (& I don’t get out enough to find a 👩❤️💋👩)
