Today is the day if medical related compliments. First my doctor was impressed that Skye and I were masking up cause covid cases are way up (even though she herself was maskless. As was everyone else we saw working). Then the person taking my blood said I had really good veins for it (and that was after I apparently squirted blood on her! Oops 😬). And just now I got off the phone with someone who said my insurance was beautiful.

What a day.

I wrote a post about some things I've seen on European tiktok but maybe I won't post it because I'm not in the mood to see a bunch of angry Europeans talking casually about dead American children in retaliation of me pointing out how generous the British grading scale is in comparison to the USAs lmfao

#granted im not dumb enough to think tiktok europeans are a good representation of europe #but there are some cultural things that fascinate me #and i know ppl are kinda sensitive about their country being shit on #and europeans are def not as used to it as americans are #so theyre a little more volatile about criticism #whereas americans are so used to it that weve become pretty self aware #and can agree on a lot of the criticism #while laughing off the stuff thats blatantly untrue #its just wild #someone will be like #heres a lighthearted joke about british people #and then the comments will be nothing but #horrific taunting about real life tragedies that americans have been fighting against for years #like lmao yall need therapy if thats your first response to the tiniest bit of criticism or joking #also im not in the mood to a bunch of people thinking that i think europe is a country because im comparing it to america #like yes i know

I get so tired of me saying that I’m having a difficult time with something (that other people seem to find easy to do) and someone else telling me that it’s normal and everyone experiences it like this

because here's the thing here's the thing the question was not "would you be more surprised to run into a fairy or a walrus" the question was "would you be more surprised to find a fairy or a walrus AT YOUR DOOR" and while no, i do not believe in fairies and would be surprised to know they EXIST i would NOT be surprised to find one at my door. HOWEVER, if a WALRUS shows up at my door i have to contend with the fact that a walrus somehow made it to my apartment specifically and knocked on my door for god knows what reason. i would be more surprised to know that a fairy EXISTS, of course, but NOT that they're at my door, do you get me?
