Last book: currently reading one called An Age Without Samples (Originality and Creativity in the Digital World) by Ikutaro Kakehashi bc I saw it for less than a dollar at a library book sale and grabbed it on a whim, last book I actually finished was The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde after I found it on the side of the road (I think it was with stuff someone left out on the curb) and I'd highly recommend it! I enjoyed it a lot

Last movie: not a huge movie person but probably Perfect Blue bc it's easily one of my favorite movies of all time

Last tv show: Arcane! Watching it with some friends :)

Sweet/savory/spicy: probably savory overall, starting to toss sweet things into savory mixes to see what they do, put peaches in with my sweet and sour pork and I think I should do things like that more actually

Last thing I searched online: how to lower blood sugar bc I'm trying to nip some medical stuff in the bud before anything has a chance to become a real problem 👀

Current obsession(s): I've been thinking about how I don't know what kind of person I would be if I hadn't gotten into ultrakill, I am so Normal about the robots in dante's inferno hell game and you can tell from my two (2) gimmick blogs where I draw robots every week, I. love them

Looking forward to: paying off my credit cards this year! Also picking up my bass and messing around with it more, drawing more and sweeping when artfight starts up again, really I wanna be more involved with art as a whole and so far I've been committing to that and it feels pretty good 💖

last book: I am currently trying to read the Witcher series (per @lickthecowhappy's suggestion) so I am at the start of the Last Wish

last movie: Moana 2 (I have young kidsssss)

last TV show: My oldest is almost 10 which means she stays up late. Which also means I have so little time to watch adult things. So we've been watching the Office with her. I think I want to watch the Good Place with her next tho (I've never watched it!)

sweet/spicy/savoury: Sweet followed very, very closely by spicy. Habanero maple syrup is one of my favorite things on the planet.

last thing i searched online: How to explain a 10 year career hiatus in a cover letter (looking to return to work since having kids. It's been an interesting experience so far).

current obsession: Have not moved on from Good Omens, but recently realized that my obsession may be more in my own little connected universe of fics that I wrote rather than the actual canon at this point😳. I'm sure once we get that first glimpse of red and white hair that will change very quickly.

looking forward to: Going back to work and having a more established adult life again, honestly. I've been so lucky to be home with my kids while they are young, but I am ready. And figuring out how my newfound passion for writing is going to fit into that new life of mine. Another big year of change over here for me, and I am eagerly looking forward to how the growing pains are going to make way for something beautiful beyond.

BOJUNYIXIAO’s Weibo Night 2024/2025 Part I 🔴🟡🟢

here we are again with the boys’ yearly same-event appearance. a tradition of sorts at this point that cpfs look forward to. It’s fun to clown and speculate on what is happening behind the scenes cause they most likely will not be in the same frame. if you wanna look back on last year’s events then go here.

i know i said this recap will be done by the end of the night but i thought about how it would be too long to read. also, this is a breather why we wait for them be onstage cause thus ceremony is too long. lol. the next post by end of day will focus more on candies that happened during the show.

I. Getting tickets and Rumors of them going

as with other wb nights, tickets can be achieved through fan voting. compared to last year that was competitive for cpfs, this one was more relaxed. or maybe fans weren’t that interested in attending. cause there was so little news if the boys will even attend the event initially. i wanna say it was a pretty good mix of fandoms on the list. for cpfs, it was the fansites dominating as usual.

by 1/8 in the morning, we saw that both of them have won awards in their respective works: Xiao Zhan for his song "wo me " as Favorite Music of the Year" & Wang Yibo for starring in the movie "formed police unit" for "Weibo's Favorite Movie of the Year"; his personal documentary "Exploring New Unknown" winning "Weibo's Favorite Variety Show of the Year". these are automatically posted by weibo via the respective accounts involved and people can see it in the voting site for the event. then in the afternoon, melons started coming out that they will be going. and this is further solidified by wb night’s teaser post that seem to allude to gg & wyb. so before announcing, wb night shares cards with statements on it. each card representing a celebrity. and here comes the hilarious part, their cards were posted side by side on 20:32 (p1). for yibo it’s a short one, i am here. which alludes to his new song. and for gg it’s smooth sailing and good health which is his wish for the new year.

then at 1/9, very early into it, the re-issued the card sets and this time the two were separated. your guess is as good as mine on why this was done. lol.

weibo night never shied away from the whole xz and wyb cp before when it was considered “acceptable”. here is an example of an actual post back in 2020 where they even used the GGDD nickname for them. at the time, it was okay cause they were the hottest “pair” with cql as a breakthrough drama. personally, i think weibo night was being very sneaky initially posting it that way. trying to drum up an audience but then so/os had to go ahead and be salty about it so it had to be split. i’m not gonna stop saying it, a reason why very little interaction is done between them — it’s partly to not upset their “fans”. it is what it is. solo fandoms in c-ent is serious business & something very understandable in an industry perspective.

but again, that’s just me and maybe cpfs reading too much into it. feel free to have your own interpretation.

II. The Official Announcement

On 1/9 at 11:30 yibo posted that he is attending the event. yibo-official also shared some reminders to not gather and disrupt public order when they go. A coincidence cause at the same time XZ posted about his Portrait magazine. which makes sense and may not be even about cpn but it’s still nice to get notifications from them on weibo 😂😂😂

Then at 15:54, XZ finally posted. XZS also came in and shared it with the reminder.

and so it was confirmed that they are both attending the ceremony. this day was also kinda busy for them cause wyb’s loewe campaign was also released and gg had his portrait magazine interview also out.

it’s safe to say that cpfs were pretty busy ^^

after that, later in the evening, their video messages were also published by weibo night. here is a combined video of that:

1/10, as expected, there was a lot of chatter on who will be attending — particularly the CPs who will be there. it is relevant in the sense that there are a couple of hot drama CPs that will be attending. but with all the polls from various blogs, the top vote is always BJYX. lol. so strong!

they are not a “CP” in that sense tho. they are real!

III. Pre Show

WYB started off pretty early by posting a teaser of his look for the night. some are saying it reminds them of what he wore for 11.11 night when XZ was also there.

There was also a video showing the seating arrangement. It appears that they only have 4 people separating them. tho it’s not a guarantee of anything but this is close! some don’t like the number assigned for yibo tho cause it’s row 2 seat 27. 227. ugh.

It doesn’t stop there tho!!!!!

there is a photothat the number was folded up so it won’t be visible. it was removed by staff (video). cpfs are crying over this cause it may have been requested to be removed by wyb due to the negative connotation. he also changed positions with LX. he really went that far! people are saying that it’s easy to change seats, so why did the number have to be torn apart? there is no need to do that. also, changing seats with LX means WYB will be away from the center so it does not benefit him. idk who gave that number to WYB, but he definitely won’t be used to bully XZ or start some bad rumor. he is truly a boss! he protects xz in ways like this. i cannot 😭😭😭😭😭

i love this comment about it: wyb is not only sitting in that position, he wants that number to disappear.

and oh, Tod’s is one of the major sponsor of Weibo Night. XZ’s ad is playing on the big screen of the venue. Will WYB see it? lol

luke drives you home in rutgers truck, and the two of you share a rather sweet conversation about the interaction, and despite how you’re feeling, luke lifts your spirits—and you even manage to crack a teasing remark at the end of the conversation.

this is one of my favourite scenes in the whole fic—you and luke are walking through campus, discussing where you’re going to go from here, and what’s to come of your plan.

it’s flirty, fun and yet, there’s some serious tension between you and the words with luke. I feel you get a real insight at their dynamic here, and you see them slowly building that friendship.

this song specifically works as a good transition scene song, because it’s not too crazy—but still upbeat enough to fit the vibe.

you’ve been stressing all day about seeing matt, and everything seems to be going wrong. you’ve been locked out of your house, so you’re wearing a stinky work uniform, your skin and hair feel dirty, and you’re running late.

luke essentially calms you down in the scene, even if he doesn’t realize it—even hough you don’t realize it.

the beginning instrumentals would play softly over the scene while you’re changing, and luke makes the comment about your underwear. this is another one of my favourite scenes, just showing how in tune you and luke are.

the song continues through the scene—quieting as the conversation continues—right up until you’re falling asleep in luke’s bed. there’s a moment where you’re sleeping and luke is admiring you, signalling the shift of feelings.

the end of the library scene and luke is walking you home—this is not written in the fic, but it’s alluded too. this song serves as a calm transition between this scene and the next.

not written into the fic but you’d see you seeking comfort in luke, cuddling into him under your bed. I can just picture you freshly showered, hair wet in and your pyjamas. you’re tucked into luke’s chest, basking in his comforting presence as he strokes your hair.

there’d be a collection of scenes after that, all showing the heartbreak and pain of going through this breakup—especially considering you now believe it was one sided the entire time.

this is when the song would begin playing, and the scene would fade into the end credits. i’m very admit that if this fic was a movie it would have the same style of credits as anyone but you—complete with different scenes of the cast singing along and dancing.

“No, it can’t be Wednesday, that’s when Max has therapy.”  Steve sighed, bent over his planner and chewing on the end of his pen.  He felt like a bedraggled father of seven.  He kind of was.

“Well, it can’t be Friday, unless I skip therapy.”  Eddie responded, also bent over his planner, though his was just a spiral notebook.  Steve could never grasp how Eddie managed to keep himself organized with just that.

"You're not skipping therapy," Steve rubbed his temple, “What about Thursday?”

“Steve, come on, that’s when Coffin has practice. After Doug gets off work, remember?  He has to teach Mike the baseline for the new song or we’re never gonna be ready for our show in May.”

Steve let out another sigh.

“You can’t move it?�� Steve asked

“Oh, I can move band practice but you can’t move your practice with Lucas?”

“I can’t help that we have to rent a batting cage!  It was the only slot they had!”

“What happened to basketball?  When did he start baseball?”  Eddie asked, brow furrowed in confusion.

“Oh, I get shit if I can’t remember when your band practices, but it’s fine if you forget an entire conversation we had about him playing both? Fucking double standards.”

“Well shit I’m so sorry Steve!  I can’t know every little thing all seven of these shit-heads are doing at all times.  Besides, when was the last time you came to one of Will’s campaigns, huh?  Or does D&D not matter as much as sports?”

“I went to the last one!”

“It was last week Steve! No, you didn’t!  You were with Hopper researching trucks!”

“Well shit, I guess I’ll just buy a van that barely runs like you!  Then we’ll really be able to get the kids where they need to go!”

“Do NOT bring my van into this!”

“You brought my truck into it!”

“Fuck you!”

“Well fuck you too!”

Steve slammed his planner shut and stood up from the table, his legs hitting the side and sending the salt and pepper shakers clattering over.  Eddie Shoved the table back, but Steve had already stepped out from behind it, halfway to the trailer door.

When he slammed the screen door behind him, the damp, spring night air hit his overheated face and he slowed, one foot hanging over the first step off the porch.  He stood there, looking out at the mist hanging in the trees, catching the last rays of the setting sun, and took a deep breath.

This was stupid.  He and Eddie were supposed to be planning a birthday party for Dustin.  They had started off so excited about it.  It was going to be Star Wars themed.  They found a bakery that would decorate a cake with R2 and C-3PO.  They had already bought decorations at Melvald’s.  Eddie had even gone as far as creating a one-shot Star Wars themed campaign, which was a feat.  Eddie was a nerd but he didn’t dabble in Sci-fi as much as Dustin.  So, he and Steve had rented all three movies and watched them until 2 in the morning, taking notes and planning.

All of that had gone fine.  Great even.  He and Eddie had never been closer, and Eddie was worming his way into Steve’s heart with how much he cared about the kids.

And that was it, wasn’t it.  Between them, they cared about the kids so much that they wanted to make sure everyone was covered. Everyone was involved. Ever since Eddie had joined the party things had gotten easier.  Mike had his place in Corroded Coffin.  Max had Steve to help her with her therapy.  They both took the kids to the arcade on Sunday nights and went off in the corner to play pinball, laughing about stupid things that happened in high school and talking about what they wanted in the future.  Planning to move out of Hawkins together if it killed them.

Things were better with Eddie.  Steve felt so much more connected, so much more wanted because of him.

Somewhere in the trees a cicada started chirping.  Steve took another deep breath just as the door opened behind him.

“Steve?”  Eddie’s voice floated out the screen door.  Soft with a hint of some deep emotion, too mixed to put a name on.

Steve turned around to Eddie with his hand on the door, skull and cross bone pajama pants and the warm glow of the living room lamp behind him.

“I’m in love with you.”  Steve finally said, somewhere between resigned and amazed, barely having time to process the revelation himself.

Eddie was out the screen door as fast as his damaged legs could carry him, wrapping his arms around Steve and pressing his face into his neck.

“Been waiting for you, Stevie.”  Eddie pressed into his skin, voice thick with emotion.

“Took me a minute to catch up.”  Steve replied with a derisive chuckle.

Eddie pulled back and pressed a kiss to Steve’s lips, quick and warm before smiling.  “Worth the wait.”

“Sap.”  Steve grinned before kissing Eddie again.

When they finally broke apart Eddie grabbed Steve’s hand, pulling him back into the trailer.  “Come on, lover boy, we’ve got a birthday to plan.”

“Lover boy?”  Steve deadpanned, though he couldn’t stop a stupid smile from growing.

“Would you prefer stud muffin?”  Eddie asked as Steve shut the door, “Or sugar lips!”  Steve’s laugh could be heard through the trailer window, mixing with the cicadas in the growing night.

𝜗𝜚 It’d been about three months of Josie and Jude seeing each other, the two meeting about six months ago. Originally, the pair were just good friends, occasionally hanging out and frequently supporting each other. When Jude had a match, Josie was there wearing his name on her back. Every basketball game Josie played in, Jude was there too, hyping her up while she was on the court.

For ages, the friends were seen as a couple in the media before the two even solidified their feelings for each other. Jude fell for her first, seeing the real her after only two months of knowing each other.

Never did he think she’d feel the same, so he tried to get back up, leaving his feelings for her down on the ground. But everytime he saw her, there he was— falling right back where he started. She always had a way of pulling him in, even though she didn’t know it.

Josie didn’t start falling until a month later. She remembers the exact day like it just happened, keeping the memory in a safe spot in her locket of a brain.

Jude had shown up to one of her games, which wasn’t peculiar until she saw what was in his hands—a bouquet of her favorite flowers and chocolates. She had only mentioned lillies once and it was ages ago, but he still remembered. Josie had always said, “to be loved is to be seen” and in that moment she felt like he had really seen her. Her heart melted and so had the chocolates, since she had accidentally kept them in her car for a bit too long.

A week later they had their first official date. The dates continued and lillies kept showing up at her doorstep. They were both in so deep. It wasn’t until this particular night, where the now couple were spending it watching a movie in Josie’s bed, did they know. Who knew that three words, eight letters, could change everything.

Josie lay in Jude’s arms, cuddled up to him as they watched Titanic. It had always been one of Josie’s favorites and now it was Jude’s. The two had seen it together a million times, but they’d never get tired of it. Jude had said once a month ago, “Our Love is like Jack and Rose.”

When Josie heard the ‘L’ word, she froze and pretended she didn’t hear what he said. Jude didn’t repeat himself and his cheeks flushed with pink. It was too early for it to be seen as Love, why had he said it? He spent the rest of that night overthinking on whether or not Josie could ever Love him.

Tonight he wouldn’t find out but she would, as he played with her curls and had his eyes glued to the TV. He could probably recite these lines himself now but if it made Josie happy, he was too.

He looked down at Josie for a second as he had noticed her breathing pattern changed. It was slower, softer— she had fallen asleep.

“Josie?” He said softly, gently poking her to see if she was still half-awake. She didn’t budge at all, so he decided to turn the movie off and fall asleep too.

But he couldn’t. Beauty was lying in his arms, sleeping soundly and disrupting his own sleep. If he wasn’t in Love with her would he have already fallen asleep? He asked himself. Jude then asked himself the question again— this time realizing he had said the word. Love.

“I Love you,” he told his sleeping beauty, giving him the closure to those feelings he had developed what felt like forever ago. He could finally accept the fact that he Loved her, even if she wasn’t awake to hear it.

But in a “sleeping” Josie’s head, she had said it back. “I Love you, too, Jude.”

Here are some paul hcs! I hope you enjoy! This is kinda short but i had fun writing it!

If you would like a part two going into more detail about him let me know. I'm gonna be responding to Dwayne's HCS, though. I hate the ones I posted. I'm also gonna be doing an HC/ one-shot series about each of the boys before they found each other/ became vampires, so stay tuned!!

Paul is a younger sibling. When he was alive he had 2 brothers and one twin sister.

He was 19 but going to turn 20 literally like a month before he died and despite how he acts he was the oldest when turned,

If you ask him his age though he will say 20 to fuck with you before pulling the “Nah I'm just joking” card and telling you he was only 19

He does that mostly cause he's a little upset he wasn't able to hold out at least another month, so he likes to say what he could have been, but he doesn't wanna lie about his age.

He hates liars.

He also keeps track of every birthday he and the other boys have had since they turned cause he doesn't want to lose track of the years. It kinda keeps him sane a bit.

On a less depressing note

He is also one of the sassiest assholes you will ever meet. He does not think before he speaks and honestly, he doesn't give a damn

I mean y'all hear him when he said the whole “ chill out girl 🙄😒” line you can't tell me he wasn't annoyed that star was ruining the fun

He also does not give a shit if he hurts someone's feeling with it especially if its someone he doesn't know or does not fuck with, he sees no point in trying to spare the feelings of anyone he doesn't care about

He can also be a bit flirty just in general as a joke or genuinely he is just like that and he dont care what gender it is he will make flirty jokes or comments regardless.🤣

He is an asshole, but he is quite loyal to the people he loves, surprisingly. But he loves them in his own way. Despite all the teasing, rude comments, cruel pranks, and injuries he may accidentally inflict, he doesn't fuck around with other people pulling that shit.

The definition of “nobody can bully my family or friends but me.”

He can be nice sometimes. It depends on whether he's fully sober or not, and then it depends on what he did.

Drunk = steer clear he's gonna say or do some stupid shit that could result in either a fight with somebody random or not,or you all dying.

Stoned = yeah, you have a better chance of seeing him nice with this one. But still, be careful cause high also results in hunger, so don't get bit. he does bite. Remember that.

He also relaxes better after smoking, so he might just sit his ass down for a while, maybe watch a movie.

He's not a TV guy though usually. he finds it hard to focus on shows and movies so he either likes to smoke before watching or else he has to pause it every 20 minutes to get up, walk around, and bitch about loopholes and plot points for a few minutes before he can sit back down and continue it.

He just kinda avoids them for those reasons. He's more of a music guy. Because then he can get up, bounce around, have fun, and not miss anything in the song cause he can do other shit while listening.

The music he likes is rock and heavy metal; I will admit, though, that he is the kinda person to pull the “Oh, you know (random band), then name 3 songs.”

He does that shit often, actually, but his saving grace is that if you know what your talking about, you now have a new friend to discuss your favorite bands with. 😭

He keeps his area of the cave a mess but he still knows where everything is. But it's not like a dirty mess; it's mostly just clutter.

He refuses to leave food containers or remains in his room overnight like he can not stand that shit if he's chilling out drawing or something, and he catches the lightest whiff of food smell from a container he finished off not even an hour ago he getting up and throwing it away.

Honestly, that goes for all the boys, to be fair. They don't care about being dirty themselves, but they don't want their spaces dirty if you get what I mean.

Also, he does not like people touching his stuff. Only a select few people can, and that is Laddie and the other boys maybe star once in awhile, and depending on whether you are a close friend or partner, you can, but everybody has to ask unless he says to grab it for him.

He just doesn't want his shit moved cause he's worried he won't be able to find it.

He's not worried about shit being broken cause he will just fix it. Unless it's CDs or records that he can't fix, he will be severely pissed.

But one specific thing you don't under any circumstance touch, grab or even breathe too close to is his sister's old music box. If that gets broken, he will kill you, no questions asked, and he won't feel bad about it, NOBODY would want to/ have the ability to stop him at that moment, so just please don't touch it.

Other than that, he doesn't care. He likes having people come to his space to hang out and keep him company. He also likes showing off all the cool shit he has.

Oh, and the him killing you thing reminds me.

He is scary as fuck when he kills/feeds cause his style is extremely animalistic. He doesn't just tear flesh away or rip a limb or two. He fucking MAULS his kills to the point that if you see the aftermath, you genuinely wonder if it was ever a human or not.

His kills are quick, violent, messy, and sadistic. Cause he genuinely does enjoy the kill, probably more than feeding.

He's an adrenaline junkie, a daredevil, and anything in between, so when it is time, he will find a target, and to be fair, he likes a good chase. So he will probably grab somebody, and when they fight back, he will purposely let them go and give them a head start so he can chase them down just to make the mauling more fun.

When he's done feeding, he is most of the time covered in blood, dirt, leaves, sand, sticks, you name it, and it's probably on him.

He cleans up as best he can before going back onto the boardwalk or heading into town of course. But if they have a late feeding and they have to get back to the cave in a hurry before sunrise. He will stay like that until the next day.

But by the time he wakes up, he hates the feeling of the stuff stuck to him, so he cleans up quickly just so he doesn't have to be uncomfortable lmao.

Anyway, that's it for now. He's just a funny, sarcastic, sadistic, flirty asshole. But we love him. Cause he's Paul.

the song would continue through the ending scene and the transition to you back at the hotel, getting unready after the long, harder day. you’re thinking about matt and how he made you feel today, and it’s the final push for you to change your lockscreen.

this song would begin during the second half of the scene, when you’re in his bedroom. the instrumentals would filter in the scene, quietly in the background as you look around the space. it would continue as you get into bed, and choose a movie to watch.

you don't mean to fall asleep but it just happens - showing how comfortable you've grown around mat in such a short time. mat admires you afterwards, which is one of my favourite parts of the fic.

this song would transition into the next scene, which isn’t in the fic, but would be in the movie (it’s only mentioned in the fic). matt would bring you to the train station, and there kind of be that unspoken feeling…a lackluster goodbye (just a hug...no kiss).

as you’re waiting for him to come out of the locker room—stomach twisting with nerves and excitement—the very start of this song would play, that instrumental whistling.

as he comes out, and inevitably kisses you for the first time, those instrumentals would continue. the second part of the first kiss after the confession, the chorus of this song would play as their lips touch passionately, which feels like an explosive moment, saved for that explosive drop in the song.
