Because You Loved Me
Warnings:- Mentions of Surgery, Mental and Emotional Exhaustion, Very Brief Mention of Drugging, Fluff, M & F Smut (more implied than outright described). Do not read if any of these warnings are upsetting. Feedback is welcomed.
By proceeding you are acknowledging that you are over 18 and are consenting to the content below the cut.
Synopsis:- Feeling low from the grind of daily life, your man tries his best to bring a little light back to your life.
A/N:- Though not a sequel, in my mind this can take place in the same AU as my other Brock fic, Peeling Back The Layers. Yet both can be read independently of each other. Written with @saiyanprincessswanie in mind but at the same time it is still a pretty generic pile of fluff. Hope you like Missy.
Word Count:- 3,165
You were exhausted . . . mentally, emotionally, physically. You ached deep down in places you never knew you could and the more you thought about it, the more exhausted you became. As the night's respite gave way to morning's light, your first thought always seemed to be 'how do I face another day?' Yet somehow you always found a way. Despite the knocks life kept sending your way and the weariness weighing down your soul, you were at heart a positive person and was determined to embrace the good things in life no matter how hard that may be.
With that thought in your head, you dragged your feet out of bed and making your way to the bathroom, used the facilities and showered under the warm, refreshing water before returning to your bedroom to get ready for the day ahead. Heading to the kitchen to make a quick breakfast you ate in silence as you waited for Brock to show up. Thinking back on the almost six months since that fateful day he came to your rescue, it had been one adventure after another.
Despite all your health issues and the unpleasant grind of daily life, this gruff looking man had become a balm for your slowly fracturing soul. Taking you places you never thought you'd see, while telling you he loved you every chance he got, you still wondered what you had done in this life or any other to deserve him.
Finishing up your food, you deposited the bowl in the sink and thought about what you might do for the day, but found you couldn't really find the motivation. Instead, taking the latest mystery novel you were reading, you headed out to the back garden to hopefully relax and catch up on another chapter. Getting a few pages in however, you suddenly dropped the book in your lap as tears inexplicably cascaded down your cheeks.
Feeling lower than you had in a really long time, you were shocked to open your eyes to discover yourself nestled against a strong chest as two powerful arms wrapped around you. "My love, why do these tears stain your beautiful cheeks?" Brock asked and you had to smile a bit at the fact that what should have sounded cheesy actually sounded sweet. "I hate seeing you like this," he added before you could answer, "please tell me what's wrong."
Looking at the man who had come to mean so much to you in such a short space of time, you snuggled deeper into his chest as you thought about all the negative thoughts weighing on your soul. Looking up at him eventually as he waited patiently for you to speak, you took a deep breath and thought carefully about what you wanted to say.
"I don't really know Brock, I guess I just feel like one raw, emotional nerve. The world seems so full of needless hate, my upcoming surgery has me scared and exhausted and sometimes I don't know why you're here with me or what I even have to offer this world." you explained and it hurt him deeply that the girl who saw so much good in him and helped awaken and nurture it, was now questioning her own worth.
Taking time to dry your tears, this powerhouse of a man who never thought he would be worthy of anything waited until he was sure you had talked yourself out before speaking. "Oh my love, please know that while your feelings are valid and you have every right to be exhausted, you are also a shining light in the darkest night."
Gazing down at you with more love than he ever thought he was capable of feeling, he bent forwards and kissed you tenderly, hoping to convey all the emotion his heart held for you. Continuing to hold you a while longer, he soon found you fast asleep in his arms and so taking you inside, placed you lovingly on the bed before heading to the bathroom to clean up. Looking at himself in the mirror he hoped with every fiber of his being he would be able to find his sweet, beautiful girl again and bring her home.
Returning to the bedroom to dress quickly and quietly, he placed a soft kiss against your forehead and whispered he loved you before heading to the living room to make good on his plan. Knowing that you always put everyone before yourself and that you didn't like to put people out, he also knew that a break back in nature was just what you needed. Arranging everything with an old friend, all he had to worry about now was moving you from a to b without you objecting.
Hearing you stirring around the bedroom some time later, he hurried in and told you that if you were feeling up to it he'd take you to your favorite restaurant, otherwise he'd happily cook for you and come up with some way to help you relax. Looking at him like he'd suddenly grown two heads, you blurted out the question on your lips before you could stop yourself. "Are you telling me you know how to cook? Something other than tea and toast?"
Smirking at your cheek to cast aspersions on his cooking ability, he swiftly traversed the space between you and taking you gently in his arms, kissed you with a passion that all but took your breath away before speaking as he ran his hands along your back. "How are you doing baby? Did the rest help any bit?"
Sinking into his warm and loving embrace, you wondered what you had done right to end up with this loving and thoughtful man. Sure some people still saw him as a gruff outsider, but to you he was your rock. Someone you knew in the depths of your soul would gladly take on your suffering if it meant you got to live a life free of pain and worry. Concerned by your non response, he moved a hand to your chin and cupping it gently, gazed into your ethereal features while he waited for you to find your voice.
"Yeah, some bit." you replied meekly, taking his hand and kissing his palm before bringing your fingers together. "I don't know. I just wish I could get away from it all for a while. Somewhere the stress and worry of being me wouldn't follow. Crazy right?"
"No baby," he said, walking both of you towards the bed before sitting down and placing you in his lap, "that's not crazy at all. Your battery's probably running on empty. What you need is a few days away from the world."
"Yeah right Brock and how can that happen?” you laughed, swatting him playfully on the arm. “I have doctor's appointments out my ass and you have work commitments. It's a nice dream, but that's all it is." you sighed, resting your head against his shoulder as he hummed some unknown song against your skin. "By the way, did you mention something about food?" you asked suddenly and you both laughed as a very unladylike sound rumbled through your stomach.
"I did," Brock answered between snickers, "but something tells me even if I didn't, my girl needs rations." Then releasing you and walking hand in hand to the kitchen he sat you down at the table and went about preparing a glorious meal. Finally filling you up with wine, pasta and brownies from your favorite bakery, he coaxed you onto the couch with a good book while he began cleaning the kitchen and by the time he was finished you were once again fast asleep and he could begin implementing his plan.
Moving swiftly and stealthily around the house with the skill only someone in his previous profession could master, he packed a bag of essentials for each of you, threw them in the back seat and then lifting you gently, carried you to the car and secured you in place. While he had thought about drugging you to make sure you slept through the drive, he knew you wouldn't appreciate that and so offered up a silent plea that you wouldn't wake until morning. Then setting off into the night, he hoped the next few days would recharge your battery and reignite your dimming light.
🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼
Waking up the next morning to a warm body at your back, which had become the norm since Brock Rumlow entered your life, you worried you had actually lost your mind as you opened your eyes to be greeted by a room that wasn't your own. Further cementing your out of body experience, you pulled back the covers to reveal that you were currently wearing your favorite comfy sleepwear when your last conscious memory was falling asleep on the couch after dinner. Looking now between your surroundings and your boyfriend, you quickly realized some major shenanigans were at play and taking a pillow, proceeded to start whacking the sleeping giant beside you.
"Brock? Hey Brock? RUMLOW." you eventually shouted while bringing the pillow down with as much force as you could muster. "What the hell is going on here?" you asked as he opened his eyes and stared up at you.
"Baby, keep it down. It's still early." he whined, reaching out to pull you down gently against his waiting body. Kissing every available inch of skin his lips could find, he carefully and easily rolled over you, removed your shorts as he rested between your legs and proceeded to eat you out twice until you were nothing more than a blissed out mess beneath him. Then leaving the bed to retrieve a cloth, he cleaned you up while you questioned what was to be done with the prominent bulge hidden within his boxers.
"Don't worry your pretty little head about that baby. This trip is all about helping you unwind. Now how about we get up, have some breakfast and I can show you around?"
Agreeing half-heartedly as your eyes still lingered on his crotch, he promised he might let you cop a feel at some point. Laughing at his crass choice of language, having just brought you to two of the most pleasurable orgasms you could ever remember experiencing, he helped you out of bed and handed you a duffle bag before reaching for what you could only assume was his own. Pulling open the zipper, you were both surprised but not, when you discovered a few days worth of clothes inside. Taking out some jeans and a t-shirt you dressed in time to see Brock put away his bag and reach out his hand for yours.
Opening up the bedroom door, he explained the bathroom connected to both the bedroom and the living room, while the kitchen made up the rest of the cottage. Allowing you out the front door while he made a start on breakfast, you discovered the cottage called Daisy Grove, was aptly named given that the cottage was indeed surrounded on either end by the most beautiful patches of wild daisies you had ever seen.
Watching the birds flying and nestling in the trees all around you, you took a few tentative steps off the porch along the scrub lined path and relished the sound of twigs and leaves underfoot as nature sang as far as you could hear. Totally engrossed in your own world, you were unaware of a keen set of eyes now following you from the door as Brock watched you slip away into a space that brought joy to your heart and a lightness to your spirit.
Hating to drag you away from the one thing that seemed to bring you peace, you turned back sharply towards the door as Brock called your name. "Breakfast is ready, my love. Perhaps after we've eaten I can introduce you to the treasures awaiting you out the back door. Running carefully back to your man, you threw yourself into his strong arms and all but squealed as he picked you up and carried you inside.
Sitting you at the table as he plated up the food, he tried to eat as best he could as you juggled between eating your own breakfast and firing any question you could think of at him. Enjoying how invested you were in the wonderful property you currently inhabited, you having to take a sip of juice as you nearly choked was enough of a risk for the former soldier. "Baby please, I say this with the utmost respect, but shut up." he laughed as your breathing returned to normal and you playfully stuck out your tongue at him. "I promise I'll answer any more questions you have once we finish eating."
Nodding in agreement, the rest of breakfast was eaten in silence until Brock got up to clear the table and your questions began again. "Where did you find this place? How long are we staying? What is there to do around here?" Oh that last question he answered with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye.
"What we're going to do here is everything and anything that calms your soul, warms your heart and makes your spirit soar. In short, all the things you've done for me." Smiling now as he took your hand and led you out the back, your eyes widened when you saw the river waiting before you. Though totally unsure about the boat Brock pointed to, you placed your trust in him and was pleasantly surprised when a wonderful, relaxing day was had.
Treating you then to a wonderful dinner, the rest of the evening was spent relaxing in front of an open fire with a sappy romantic comedy before Brock carried your tired form back to bed, where allowing his cock to get reacquainted with your pussy, you once again had a gloriously peaceful sleep.
🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼
Facing the world anew at sunrise, the next few days were everything Brock had promised and you couldn't remember when you last felt so well rested. Feeling so carefree at this moment in your life as a result of the routine your wonderful man had set up, waking you up every morning with his mouth attached to your pussy, your days were then spent leisurely walking through the surrounding area, enjoying boating and Brock fishing on the river along with foot rubs, reading or watching various rom coms.
Then once he had you properly fed on spaghetti with wine and brownies or steak with baked potato and chocolate chip cookies after, he would ensure that one way or another your world was rocked before sleep claimed you. You even remembered the fun that was had on your last day when Brock had tried unsuccessfully to get you to eat some of the fish the river had provided.
Telling him in no uncertain terms that you would not eat anything you had watched him kill while in the middle of baking brownies and cookies together, half an hour later as a glorious smell filled the cottage and Brock's solid shaft filled your pussy, you finally discovered the real fun that could be had baking together.
When he finally had you satisfied and removed the delicious treats out of the oven, Brock informed you he was going to do a quick sweep of the property before you left in the morning. Snuggling into the couch with a good book, that was exactly where Brock found you an hour later when he finally returned to the cottage. "Hey baby, you still where I left you?" Brock called out as he closed the door behind him.
Looking into the living room before you had a chance to answer, he was indeed rewarded with you stretched on the couch bathed in the glow of the firelight. Swearing that he had never in his life seen anything so heavenly, he sauntered into your presence with a sly smirk on his face and his hands hidden behind his back. "Hey Brock, you were gone quite a bit. Is everything alright?"
"Everything's perfect baby. Everything's tied up or put away as it should be, I just had to pick up something for you," and he couldn't hide the grin that graced his features as you suddenly sat up eager to see what he had for you. "Now keep in mind it's nothing fancy, but it made me smile and think of you." he continued and with that he produced a beautifully woven circle of daisies.
Looking at him as he sat down beside you and placed it over your head, your eyes then fell on the flowers before speaking. "It's beautiful Brock, but what is it?"
"It's a daisy chain baby. Stronger than shackles and chains, it ties you to me forever. Just like mine ties me to you," and with that he removed the t-shirt to reveal the chest you just now realized he had strategically kept covered since before this trip began. The reason for this soon seared itself into your memory, when there above his heart was a tattoo of the same daisy chain you now wore, but in its center nestled your name. Trailing his lips along your neck as they made their way towards your ear, his next words brought you to tears. “Forgive my lips.” he whispered between pecks. “They find joy . . . in the most unusual places.”
"Oh my god Brock, you are such a dork." you sniffled as you reached out and ran our fingers over the ink. Kissing your lips passionately once again before resting his forehead against yours, he knew he would do whatever he had to to maintain the light once more shining in your eyes.
Still watching you play with the daisies, he quickly answered your playful statement before laying you down on the rug beside the fire. "We both know I may be a dork my love, but I'm only your dork." he said, as he then proceeded to spend the night pulling you apart multiple times on his mouth, fingers and cock. Thoroughly fucked and covered in sweat, cum and various parts of each other's bodies you closed your eyes and drifted off towards the approaching morning.
Rising before you once again, Brock set about loading everything back into the car before walking into the living room to wake you up. Helping you from the rug and guiding you into the bathroom, a gloriously hot shower and Brock's skillful hands worked out all the knots sleeping on the floor had given you before breakfast filled the void in your stomach. Then reluctantly driving away from your little retreat knowing he had to take you home so could face what lay ahead, he drew comfort from the fact that for the past few days you had once again been his beautiful north star, burning bright with the energy needed to conquer whatever your illness and life threw at you.

Humans are Space Orcs, “Eating Everything.”
I am working my way through the list of suggestions that you guys left me, so this is the first installment from a Anon ask. I don’t know if this is what you wanted to read or where expecting to read, but this is what I came up with.
Intergalactic Journal of Biology and Medicine
Humans have one of the most resilient digestive tracts in the known universe. As an Omnivorous predatory species, humans are capable of digesting muscle , fat, carbohydrates (simple and complex), proteins and fibers taking many nutrients and extreme energy from them. Their use of carbs gives us an explanation as to why humans are so powerful because they require a lot of energy to use their bodies. Additionally, the stomach acid of a human is capable of digesting, non-food items though no nutrients can be pulled from it.
Generally speaking, the rule is that if you can eat it, a human can eat it, though, whether it is to their taste or not is questionable.
Furthermore, the human body reactivly ejects toxic substances once detected, so within reason, humans are capable of trying many foods without the negative consequences many of us would associate with sticking foreign substances in our mouth.
There GA intergalactic summit was held, on what was Earth time, November 5th, 4022. All members of the GA council were expected to attend, or at least a representative for every species in the known universe. At this time that would include the Rundi, Gibb, Tesraki, Bran, Vrul, Drev, etc. but worst of all, the humans.
The Rundi steward, a class of government official who was specifically tasked with dealing with the drudgery of bureaucracy, was not pleased in the slightest. It was primarily his job to put everything together, and depending on how well he did, it could either make or break him in social hierarchy of his species. The Rundi were a primarily governmental planet, everything they did was based upon a structure of hierarchy and rule. Government was the greatest form of service, and Anarchy wasn’t even an afterthought in philosophical debate. The rundi were not capable of anarchy.
It was a planet of politicians in some form or another, every interaction had political underleanings, and their speech was always heavily guarded. For this reason, the Rundi had been the first in suggesting an intergalactic system of government. The terasaki had agreed only upon realizing they would be tasked with overseeing economics, but had benefited from the Rundi system of government seeing as they tended a bit towards social anarchy, a thought that the Rundi had seen as horribly barbaric, especially since their system was based primarily on the equal distribution of goods to support government structure.
The Vrul had only agreed to join based on their own personal interest in survival. Generally they wanted nothing to do with intergalactic politics and would have been happy to maintain their own peaceful homeworld, but the introduction of other species into the galaxy had offered a great threat to them, and they had decided, out of necessity, to join the GA as being friends with the other species was in their own self interest. In turn that had meant sending their very, very skilled workers to help the rest of the galaxy, and that included their scientists and their doctors, and their mechanics.
And then of course there was the issue of the Drev and the humans, both scarily similar in social hierarchy and temperament. The Drev were warlike and honor bound, but once choosing a leader, they had been surprisingly willing to join in as long as they were given the opportunity to participate in any and all armed conflict that happened to take place across the galaxy.
The humans….. The humans were another story. There was no one characteristic that helped to identify their motivations. The humans themselves were well versed in war, politics, economics, and science, but they did everything to the extreme. Where the Drev practiced war for honor, when humans waged war, they did it to kill, while the Rundi maintained government and played games within their own circles, the humans played against each other often mixing war and government into one. Their economic practices varied widely, but their current system played for keeps and focused on the greatest accumulation of wealth possible far beyond what the Tesraki did. Then when it came to science, they never considered WHETHER they should do something, but only if they COULD do something.
And now here the steward was forced into the position of setting up this summit for all the different types of species. The catering alone had been a complete nightmare, and he had been forced to ship different sorts of food for thousands of miles in order to feed everyone in the proper manner. There were some species he did not have to worry about, like the Vrul, who were more plant based and so did not eat, but there were others, and that included the rundi and the Tesraki, who had every strict diet consisting of only very specific foods to eat. He found that he could tack the Drev onto some other species, seeing as their bodies were capable of metabolizing almost any plant as long as it retained a similar structure to human plants and fruit.
However, the humans themselves were the hardest part, because the range of food was so wide, he could hardly determine what was going to work and what was going to be a massive disaster. He honestly didn’t know, different sources said different things, and he couldn't bare to think about putting MEAT on the table…. That was just against his constitutions.
In fact, he was scrambling right up until the council had convened for the evening, and the mass tide of bodies came pouring into the room filling the vaulted ceiling with rockus chatter in dozens of different languages.
He could hear the humans coming a mile off.
The humans and the Rundi had a similar register when it came to hearing, and humans were known to be able to mimic Rundi vocalizations to some degree simply because they generally tended to communicate in deep grunts, hums and guttural vocalizations. The humans, wlel their language was just as varied as their culture clicking, hissing, snapping, humming and grunting filling the air with discordant and somehow, rhythmic quality..
Their presence turned heads.
They walked with the Drev delegation, which was no surprise to anyone. The humans had been unable to send their usual representative due to a social disagreement between earth and its neighboring sister, Mars. So who had they gone and sent….
Them….
The rundi Steward knew all about them….. Crewmembers of the UNSC Harbinger, the widest ranging vessel in the entire galaxy, and home to a crew that was indisputably certifiable. They were the most reckless, most dangerous, and most terrifying amalgamation of creatures in the galaxy somehow including one Drev, and a rather out of place Vrul whose behavior suggested he had caught whatever brain malady had overcome the humans, and was just as insane as they were.
He cringed horrifically at the sight of them.. Humans were a destructive force, and were known to cause chaos and mayhem wherever they went, even at the best of times, so this was bound to get interesting.
The delegates were seated, and the Steward welcomed them with gracious words of introduction he had spent months preparing. It was a very political thing for him to do, and included subtle compliments to all delegations involved, laid down some ground rules but made sure not to undermine the authority of the people he was speaking too..
However, to the humans, the attempt was obviously heavy handed brown nosing, though none of the other delegations seemed to notice.
He invited them in for refreshments and encouraged discussion between the parties.
Of course, the humans weren’t exactly ones to pass up the idea of food and were some of the first to the table examining the contents with great interest even the food that was not theirs. They seemed very amused watching the other delegations pick up their specific food and then move away to sit.
“What is this.” one of the humans commented holding up a rather stringy green tube that wriggled and squirmed in his hand, “Are these worms?”
One of the Tesraki looked over, “No, it’s a Cavestalk, a kind of plant. Probably not to your taste, they are known to be poisonous to other species. In other words, not human food.”
The human raised an eyebrow, “Buddy, humans are the sharks….. Or wait…. Maybe that's the goats of the universe, we can eat anything within reason, and even a couple of things outside of reason if given enough time.”
The Tesraki made a sort of shrug and wave with its large ears and then walked away. The steward watched the humans with a worried expression. It wouldn’t due to allow the humans to make themselves sick on his watch, but it seemed as if that idea was only becoming more and more likely as the humans poked and prodded at the leftovers of other species hardly bothering with the food that had been laid out for them…. Mostly strange fibrous plant materials.
And that is when it came, “I dare you to eat it.”
The two humans locked eyes, one still holding the wriggling Cavestalk, “What.”
“I said, I dare you to eat it.” The human stuck out his chin at the other human in a primitive position of posturing, “How much do I get if I do.”
There was a moment of thought before, “Twenty credits. I’ll give you twenty credits to eat it.”
“What happens if it poisons me?”
There was a hand wave, “We have a doctor on board, he can just pump your stomach…. Chicken.”
A moment of silence passed between them, and the Rundi steward began moving towards them to stop something horrible he felt was about to happen. He wasn’t fast enough, and before he knew it, the human had thrown back his head and dropped the wriggly green thing into his mouth swallowing it whole like an alligator or a snake.
People around looked on in somewhat fascinated disgust as the predator’s throat bobbed and he smacked his lips making a face, “Eh, I can still feel it moving…. Eh.” He paused, “Though, taste wise it isn’t so bad kind of like a wiggly asparagus.” After a moment his eyes narrowed, and he smacked his lips again, “Spicy asparagus, uh, that’s really really weird.”
He reached the table just as the Vrul came running up shoulders squared in a very un-vrul way, “HE LITERALLY JUST SAID IT WAS POISONOUS TO OTHER SPECIES, AND NOW YOU’RE EATING IT! AND YOU OVER THERE.” A human looked up at him from where it had been prodding the Drev coiltree berries, “GET THOSE OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!”
They had attracted the attention of some of the closer tables now who were looking on in entertained confusion and worry.
A human waved a hand, “It’s alright Doc, we have you don’t we”
“I AM NOT THE MAGIC CURE FOR NEUROTOXIN.”
Another shrug, “Well it’s a good thing that I’ll throw up before anything really bad happens.”
The rundi steward tried to intervene as the humans began prodding through the other food, “Drev can eat human fruit, so I bet these things are like fruit.” one of them pointed out popping the berries into his mouth and chewing with a contemplative look on his face, “Not bad.”
“Please, please, if you would remain within your own food groups.” The Rundi begged. HE was now realizing he should have written up some legal documents to avoid litigation if the humans were to be damaged on their property, but now was too late.
A human waved him off, “Don’t worry, everyone else is done eating, besides.” He Pointed towards the human food, “That's literally a pile of lettuce, I am a man, not a horse.”
“Horses don’t eat lettuce, also that’s not lettuce,it’s spinach.” Another human piped up prodding at a strange squishy red ball sloshing with a strange pink nectar, “This looks like candy.”
“Please don’t put that in your mouth.”
The humans swarmed away from the two dissenting voices. One of them picked up the strange pink orb and licked it. It’s eyes lit up and it bit into the piece wiping pink juice from it’s face as it did, “Ok, this, this is good 10/10 would try again.” And that only caused all the other humans to move over to try one.
“I SAID GET THAT OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!” The vrul demanded.
The Rundi steward looked on in horror and worry. Vrul didn’t behave that way, everything here was just wrong.
A Drev joined the party just then pointing to the pink orb, “I love those, but you should definitely try these too.”
“No, no they should not.”
He was ignored, and the humans scooted over to look. It was a strange spiral plant in a light yellow color that made a distinctive crunching sound as the humans bit down. They shrugged, “Sort of just like space celery if you ask me.”
Did these creatures have no sense of self preservation!
A group had gathered around the table strangely amused at the humans, who just ate…. Everything.
The Rundi steward almost keeled over watching his future go down the drain as other species began offering humans food. Whatever it was, they seemed unable to resist putting it in their mouths. A human made a face spitting something back out into his hand, “Ax bleh, tastes like Satan’s feet.” “Quick question. When was the last time you licked Satan’s feet.” “The last time I was at your mom’s house.”
The humans made strange noises at each other as the Rundi stepped in and began grabbing things from the humans only to find the Vrul to be doing the same, “Stop it! Stop it all of you!.”
The human’s paused, as did the other delegates in surprise.
“STOP PUTTING THINGS IN YOUR MOUTH THAT YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE.” The intervening silence was broken as one of the humans loudly crunched on one of the pink orbs. Everyone turned to look at her and she just glanced around the group.
“What?” She wondered past a mouth full of food.
A human waved a hand at him, “Keep your shorts on, we promise you won't get in trouble if one of us dies.”
The Rundi stared on incredulous.
They were going to kill themselves, they were really going to kill themselves.
Maybe it was best if he resigned before being fired, at least he would be able to keep his dignity

I feel bad asking because I feel like you're probably tired of everyone being suddenly obsessed with your mpreg fic, but Imma try anyway: is there any chance you'd consider writing a little pregnant sex scene, with Sooga just lusting/obsessing over Kohga's giant tummy? I man, Sooga's breeding kink has got to be beyond satisfied now. With a side order of him talking to the babies and creeping Kohga out, because that image is, frankly, hilarious? XD
No no! Ask away for ANY of my fics! Seriously. Stroke my ego. Pls.
(no cap im amazed that out of ALL my fics, the one with preggy Kohga is the one people liked the most. Ya'll fucked. I love it)
"Move move move-"
Sooga didn't mean to be so rude, but in this crowded hallway, he had to be. Master Kohga was awaiting his dessert, and Sooga was running late (some issue with the ice that he SWORE he took care of earlier). Kohga had been greatly affected by the new pregnancy, mainly in temperament. He was bossier, louder, angrier than he had ever been. And Sooga loved waiting upon him. He made his way to his room, carefully opening the door with his tray in his hands. Kohga sat there, nude, save for his silk robe, and looking bigger than ever. He had his arms folded across his chest, clearly not happy.
"You took. SO long, Sooga."
"I apologize, there was a situation with the ice. But, it's here now. Please, enjoy."
Kohga accepted it from him, before turning the bowl over in his hands. If he accepted it, he’d eat it. If he didn’t, well. Sooga would feel his fury. He breathed a sigh of relief once Kohga started to tuck in, seeming to no longer be quite so angry. Sooga put his cup of tea next to him on the night stand. He made it extra hot, so it’d be just warm enough for him to properly enjoy it. Kohga stuffed his mouth full of his dessert, before sighing comfortably. Good, that was a sound that meant he wouldn’t get hit.
“Sooga.”
“Yes, Master Kohga?”
“You keep staring.”
“I...apologize. You being pregnant is still so jarring to me. You...look exactly how I pictured you.”
“Pfft. Simp.”
He chuckled, finishing off his ice cream, and handing the bowl to Sooga. Sooga took the bowl from him, and put it on the tray, right next to the tea. He was about to hand him the drink, before stopping.
“Master Kohga? You look sore. Would you like a massage?”
Kohga thought it over, before shrugging, putting his arms behind his head.
“Yeah. I’d like that actually. Dealing with this is hell.”
“I’m so sorry, my Master. Please, allow me to ease your poor aches.”
Sooga oiled up his hands, before crawling into bed. Due to his rather obvious belly, Sooga had to massage his hands, legs, and shoulders, rather than having him lay down on his back. Not that he minded. He liked seeing Master Kohga like this. Leaned back against his bed, surrounded by sheets and pillows, just letting himself be adored. Sooga's hands wandered from his shoulders, down to his hands. He held onto one of his hands, lightly massaging his fingers in his hands. It felt good, seeing his fiery husband all relaxed, all settled, all...incredible, really.
“About time you finally put some damn work in, Sooga. I was getting SO pissed after my video call with Mipha.”
“Did she say something rude?”
“No, she was hanging out with Revali, and HE called me a lazy ass. I told him ‘I made a lung, the fuck did YOU do today?’. Guy is so stuck up.”
“Crass as he may be, he has talents to back him up, Master Kohga. But of course, you’re in the right.”
“COURSE I’m in the-oh, that’s the spot~”
Sooga chuckled. His poor Master Kohga needed his knuckles cracked occasionally, and he could tell it made him feel SO much better.
“You needed that, poor thing.”
“Ugh, I really did. Now what do YOU need?”
“Hmm?”
“You’re gawking. You want something. I’m in a better mood, so what do you want?”
He loved how well Kohga knew him. He leaned up to him, lightly pushing his mask to the side. He pressed his lips right against his, and felt his body shiver once Kohga’s fingers lightly fumbled with his ears. He pulled away, trying not to show how excited he was from just a simple kiss.
“You. I want you. If I may be so humbled.”
“Can we even DO that?”
“We can, I asked Mipha.”
Kohga snorted, lightly shaking his head.
“Course YOU’D ask, pervert. Alright, alright. Come on then, ravage me~”
Oh this image would be burned into his mind for the rest of his life. The sight of a nude, plump Kohga, arms spread out to embrace him, and a smirk at his lips. Was he a lucky man or what?
“With pleasure, my Master.”
He wrapped his arms around him, embracing him as he smothered his lips in his. He kept going for kiss after kiss, even while he pulled his already hard cock out. He had been aroused since he walked in, and suffice to say, he was plenty ready. He kept himself snuggled between Master Kohga’s legs, as he slowly pushed himself in. He was usually more romantic, but he couldn’t go through the slow process of prepping him, not today. Instead, he kept his hands on his hips, pulling and pushing him in rhythm to his own movements.
“Hoo, look at you today. It’s crazy, I can boss you around all day, and you can still get super hard for me at the end of the day.”
Sooga nodded, letting Kohga just sit there and watch. Kohga didn’t want to do any work aside from checking out Sooga’s frame, and Sooga didn’t mind at all.
“Always. I love it when you boss me around. It means you have a use of me. Means there’s a task for me, and only me. And I’d do anything for you.”
“Stop.”
Sooga whined as he forced himself to stop moving. His cock was already throbbing inside of him, and every fiber of his being hated not making love to him.
“D-did I say something wrong?”
“No. You just whine when I make you stop, and it’s cute. Now, pump my cock for me. I’d do it, buuut well. You’re doing it for me.”
Sooga nodded, obeying him as he stroked his cock, nice and fast, just how he liked it. Kohga chuckled, running his fingers through his hair as he sat there, and enjoyed it. He looked right up at Sooga the whole time, letting him suffer. But Sooga didn’t mind. He liked knowing he was pleasing him. Pleasing not only his love, but the bearer of his children. Then Kohga snapped his fingers, and Sooga finally continued, thrusting himself into his ass while he continued to pump his cock.
“You’re so beautiful, Master Kohga. So precious to me.”
He buried his face in his neck, kissing at his bare, warm skin. His lips roamed from his neck, right down to his belly. Something about kissing them as he did...it did something to him. Kohga cried out as Sooga wasn’t being so gentle as he was a second ago, mainly in surprise.
“Geez Sooga, easy boy, easy!”
Kohga tried to hide his arousal in laughter, but Sooga knew better. The way he started to grumble, the way his grip on his body turned desperate.
“I can’t. I really can’t. Look at you. So beautiful, so full of life.”
“Oh. Oh god dammit this was a pregnancy kink-”
Sooga silenced his lips with a kiss, forcing his moans into his lips. Once he parted, Kohga rolled his eyes.
“You wanna fuck me because I’m pregnant. God dammit, Sooga, I thought you were gonna be fucking normal for once.”
“But you’re SO lovely! Look at you! You’re EVERYTHING I wanted! Not to mention ever since your pregnancy, you’ve been SO full of hormones. I can sense them. I can feel them. You’re so needy and demanding, I adore fulfilling every single need of yours. Be it food, massages, or this. I could make love to you for hours if you let me.”
Kohga wanted to tell him off, but god dammit how can you talk shit when you were getting a lovesick stud fucking you up the ass. He bit onto his knuckle, already feeling like he was leaking precum all over Sooga’s poor hand.
“Whatever, Sooga. Just finish me off, you know I get pissed when I don’t finish.”
“So angry~....do you think they’ll be angry too? How adorable, three fussy little ones!”
Sooga was somehow able to keep up the pace while he leaned down to kiss at his tummy.
“Are you three going to be a problem, just like your father? Are you going to be this cute? Are you going to be as cute as he is? I know the answer to the last one! Yes I do!”
Kohga smacked his face with his palm, sighing. God dammit, why did he have to make it weird when he was getting a full throbbing cock right up the ass.
“Sooga, I do NOT want to nut while you’re talking to three fucking fetusus.”
“But they’re precious! I love them! I love YOU! I care about nothing but the four of you!”
Kohga wanted to tell him to shut up, but Sooga let go of his hip, and smacked his ass. Not a weak smack either. A nice, hard smack that you knew was just going to leave a mark. It was just hard enough for Kohga to cum, getting his fluids all over Sooga’s hand. And Sooga, totally obsessed with his pregnant man, licked it all off his hand, as if it was fresh honey. Kohga sat there, heating up like a tea kettle, as Sooga sat there, awaiting further orders. Kohga nodded towards him.
“Alright, alright. You did good. You wanna finish inside?”
“...can I finish...outside?”
“Where are you-”
Kohga didn’t even know why he asked. He scoffed, and motioned with his hand for him to carry on. Sooga pulled out, and, making sure he didn’t put weight on Kohga, started to pump his cock. It was a slow, tedious stroking that Kohga had no idea how he got off to.
“You’re so full of beautiful life. Three CHILDREN. Oh fuck what if they’re all big, strong boys?”
Kohga mumbled some kind of insult, before he shook his head. Sooga’s ‘dad’ fetish was so fucking weird, he didn’t get it. But hey, he liked sounding and Sooga didn’t, they were both kinda fucking weird. So, might as well indulge him.
“Boys, girls, doesn’t matter does it? Because they’re OUR kids, and our family, and-”
Sooga wouldn’t even let him finish his sentence. He came with a swear, and came on his stomach. A big load at that, all over his stomach. Even then, Sooga wasn’t happy with just that, smearing the mess around with his cock. Kohga rolled his eyes, letting him have a moment to do his weird thing. After a second though, he snapped his fingers, getting his attention.
“You done?”
“I...yes. For the most part.”
“Good, I want a bath.”
“...can we stay for a minute?”
“Fucks sake-you can help me wash this off.”
“Deal.”
Sooga leaned down to kiss his lips, grinning from ear to ear.
“I love you all.”
“God you’re an idiot. Hurry up with the bath, I want extra bubbles.”
“Right away.”
Sooga kissed his stomach once more, before quickly jumping out of bed and into the bath. Kohga sighed, looking at his stomach.
“You guys make him so happy, it’s stupid. You better not steal my spotlight, any of you.”

Natasha x Reader- So This Is It (3/3)
Natasha’s eyes opened in the early morning light and found you fast asleep, crammed into a tiny arm chair across from the bed she was in. She tried sitting up but cursed softly, hand going to her wounded side. Right. She had messed up last night and thought if she was going to die, she wanted to at least see you once more. That was stupid thinking, she realized, yet she had no regrets. Waking up surrounded by all things you gave her more peace than she’d felt since the day she’d left you with a broken heart.
She could still remember the tears soaking her shirt as you clung to her beneath the covers of your shared room, begging her not to do this. Natasha vaguely remembered someone else in the apartment, another woman. Sammy? Yes, that was her name. Natasha took a steadying breath and tried to slide out of your bed with some difficulty. She would be gone before she could cause anymore issues for you.
When she got to the living room she let her eyes study the space fondly. Everything from the plush throw pillows on the couch to the photos stuck to the fridge screamed you. You were so warm, so loving. This space exuded that and Nat just wanted to stay wrapped in it forever. She saw the nearly empty bottle and the rumpled blankets and it dawned on her that you had been busy with a date last night. She shouldn’t get satisfaction that you had dropped it all to help her, yet she did. You’d always have her heart, if only she hadn’t thrown yours away.
Often she lay awake wondering what it would be like if she hadn’t let you go. She walked to the fridge and studied a picture of your lips pressed against a woman’s. The same woman that had Natasha had seen before falling unconscious. The woman you were on a date with. It appeared you had been seeing her for some time. Her heart constricted painfully and she turned away from the picture. She was met with you standing still at the end of the hall. Eyes bleary from sleep and hair perfectly tussled. You were still in last night’s clothes, blood splattered on your blouse.
Your lips were parted and chapped and Natasha wanted nothing more than to pull you to her and kiss you senseless. “Y/N,” She said, just to hear your name spoken from her lips again. It had been far too long since she had uttered your name, saving herself from the pain that she had inflicted.
“You have an issue with leaving while I’m asleep,” You spoke with amusement but Natasha winced at the meaning behind your words. She had left you vulnerable and broken in the early morning, not being able to leave if you were to wake up and beg her once more to stay. She’d had to go.
Natasha was tongue tied and had no come back that could save her. You were her weakness, her undoing. One word from you and she was an incapable mess. You were the one thing that broke through years of training and self preservation and brought her to her knees. So she simply shrugged. You shuffled to the kitchen and Natasha gave you a wide berth, as if a simple touch from you might collapse her already feeble stability.
“Sit. You’re eating breakfast.” You said simply, taking out some eggs and bacon. Natasha was a slave to your words and did as you said. Watching you cook with great pleasure. It had been so long since she could admire you in your element. Relaxed, sleepy, soft and perfectly domestic. You were the softness to her hard edges and she missed your with every fiber of her being.
A short time later you had a heaping pile of eggs, bacon and pancakes set in front of her and she grinned at the sight. You knew the way to her heart was through her stomach and you made the best food she’d ever had. It was made with love and that she always knew for certain, seeing as you had made her favorite. She raised her eyebrow at you as you sat down with your own plate, a small smile on your face as you gave her your own shrug.
“What can I say? Old habits die hard,” You explained. It was so easy to fall into an easy routine with Natasha. How many times had you stitched her up and then woke her up with kisses and breakfast, demanding she rest?
“Thank you,” Natasha finally said, after shoveling half the plate down.
“She speaks!” You teased, an easy smile on your face.
“I’ve missed you,” Natasha found herself saying and that easy smile tensed.
Fuck.
“I um-” You were startled as someone knocked on the door yet grateful for the distraction. Natasha’s words had your heart pounding uncomfortably and you were afraid of what you might have said if there hadn’t been a convenient interruption. You opened the door to find Sammy, shuffling her toe into the carpet.
“Can I come in?” She asked as you stood there, saying nothing.
“I thought you weren’t coming back until Nat was gone,” You said, wincing as you realized that wasn’t the best thing to say.
Sammy’s eyes narrowed as she ducked her head past the door, seeing Natasha eating the breakfast you had made for her. Natasha lifted her hand easily in a wave, a smirk playing at her lips. She was useless when it came to you but she could make a show for the woman you had been dating. You glared at her however as Sammy walked in and she toned it down.
“Well, I trust you, figured I would come check up on you regardless of who is here,” Sammy seethed, purposefully ignoring Natasha.
“If you trusted her why are you here? Could have sent a text,” Natasha said, bored.
“Nat!” You scolded.
“Stop that! Why you have to call her that? Why do you have to sound so fucking affectionate? She isn’t your girlfriend anymore, Y/N!”
“Hey don’t talk to her like that,”
“Not now Natasha!” You said with more venom in your voice and she backed down. “I can’t just call her by her name? Since when has that been a crime? And since when have you been so jealous? What has gotten into you?” You asked Sammy, more softly as your words continued on.
“Since I realized you still loved her,” Sammy said, a pointed glare going to the red head. Natasha’s heart thudded to a stop in her chest before kickstarting. You still loved her?
“I-I....” You stammered, not ready for the confrontation. How could you deny it with her sitting right there? It was easy enough to deny when you hadn’t seen her for months but having her here, having her close, brought back far too much. You had never gotten over her.
“I fucking knew it...” Sammy scoffed humorlessly. “I wish things were different Y/N, good luck,” She said before leaving in a rush, tears streaming down her cheeks, your chest feeling empty. Anxiety burning through your veins.
Natasha whistled long and low to break the silence and you spun on your heel, pointing a finger in her face as hot tears burned at the corner of your eyes. “Why?! Why did you have to come here?” You yelled, frustrated, angry, confused. “You left me! Why can’t you let me be happy? God you’re so selfish! You leave me, tell me how it won’t work and it’s for my own good and then you have to show up and ruin the only relationship I’ve been able to commit myself to since you broke me!”
Natasha listened carefully, no matter how much it hurt. It was the truth after all. “You’re right, I’m selfish. Leaving you was the most idiotic thing I’ve ever done. Showing up here wasn’t fair either but when I got hit, I thought it was over. You were the only thing on my mind, Y/N. Seeing you again was all I could think about. You gave me the power to hang on, to get here so you could save me.... Did she mean it? O-or was she right? Do you still love me?” She said, feeling scared now.
“Of course she was right....” You whispered, Natasha could detect no bitterness, only sad admittance. “But does that even mean anything to you? I loved you then as I do now and you still left.... It’s so fucking typical of you to change your mind the second I try and find some peace...” You said, tears turning your voice raspy as your shoulders shook with the sobs that were taking over.
Natasha stood and held her arms out. You quickly went to her, sobbing into her chest like you had nearly a year ago. And damn it, if she didn’t still feel like home. “Fuck you Nat,” You sobbed as she rubbed your back gently.
Natasha smiled, kissing your temple, relishing in the fact that you relaxed at the touch. “I know, Y/N, I’m the worst,” She said with a grin.
“Damn right you are,” You sniffled, pulling away and rubbing at your eyes.
Your back straightened and you looked at the apartment around you as if you were seeing it in a different light. Natasha had never been here before but of course she had known where you’d be. Sammy wouldn’t be coming back. You were single again. You were still in love with your ex. It had been a shitty two days.
“This doesn’t make up for anything,” You said, finally looking Nat in the eyes.
“I know,” She said softly as you stepped towards her, hands going to her cheeks as her hands went to your hips.
“We still have a lot to discuss,” You said, eyes scanning over her face, dropping to her lips.
“I know,” Natasha said, throat dry and heart pounding as you stroked your thumb across her cheekbone, stepping impossibly closer.
“If you have time to fix this, then so do I,” You said and Natasha snapped out of it for a minute to look at you in shock,
“You do?” She croaked. “Y-you’ll take me back?”
You let yourself smile as Natasha’s eyes shimmered with unshed tears. “Only if you promise to never let me go again, I may want kids Natasha but I told you once before, I need you more, kids or not,”
Natasha laughed and let a tear fall, breath catching in her throat as you leaned forward, lips brushing against her jaw to catch it. She slipped her hand to the back of your neck and pulled you to her, lips attaching to her’s in a sweet dance that she had missed.
She moaned softly as you kissed back, your own tears cascading down. She tasted salt on her tongue. With you against her, she felt right again. Whole again. There was a lot of shit you two had to work through. She knew that you would hold guilt over Sammy and that you wouldn’t immediately let all that had happened go but for now you were willingly kissing her like neither of you had lost any time.
Natasha couldn’t have been happier to fail at pushing you away. You were it, after all. The only one for her. No matter what, you two would make it work .

3 Tips to Heal Your Gut and Lose the Weight for Good
Weight reduction is pretty much as straightforward as eat less and practice more, correct? That is positively the message we hear in the media. What's more, it at times may appear to be a simpler arrangement. In any case, lamentably, it doesn't generally work.
A Surprising Weight Loss Journey
Janet is a customer of mine who came to me to shed pounds. She had a go at everything and as of now was practicing strongly two times a day to attempt to make the scale move. Also, it wasn't moving!
Janet's companion, Claire, came to me months sooner to address her side effects of joint throbbing painfulness and stomach-related problems. In spite of the fact that weight reduction wasn't her objective, by making an eating plan for most extreme sustenance and gut mending Claire recuperated the hurts, agonies, and stomach-related problems and lost 15 lbs.
So Janet came to me searching for an answer for weight reduction and thought that maybe her gut was a contributor to the issue. Notwithstanding Janet's battle to accomplish a weight she had a positive outlook on, she was additionally encountering persistent weakness, indigestion, stomach-aches, stoppage, runs, gas, and bulging. Her emphasis was on weight reduction, yet there were such countless different indications all integrated! Inside multi-month of making an eating plan explicit for sustaining her body and recuperating her gut, she had lost 10 lbs. She also, said her stomach felt astonishing - better than it had in years.
Neither Janet nor her companion followed their calories or checked grams of fat or sugars. Janet had really diminished her activity since I accepted the power to be a stressor on her framework. Anyway, for what reason did they depict the weight reduction accomplishment to be simple?
Recuperate your gut, lose the weight
There are a large number to accomplishing and keeping a sound weight. In addition to the fact that emotions play a job, yet the current climate represents a huge test towards solid living. Also, ideal working of the human body including the vital gastrointestinal framework or "gut" is critical.
As of late, research is focusing on the effect that the trillions of microorganisms in the gut play in wellbeing, ailment, and weight the board. Later on, we will actually want to distinguish explicitly every individual's micro biome and how to advance ideal gut microscopic organisms. The capacity to oversee and forestall disease will be affected massively!
Exploration distributed in the American Journal of Gastroenterology in 2012 took a gander at gut microbiota and its effect on the advancement of weight in creatures. Analysts expressed that proof unequivocally proposes that the bacterial equilibrium of the gut may assume a significant part in energy equilibrium and weight. In research distributed in Nature in 2006, researchers zeroed in on two explicit gatherings of microscopic organisms in the gut - Bacteroidetes and Firmicutes showing that the extent of these two gatherings of useful microorganisms was distinctive in hefty versus lean people.
We will keep on learning the clinical pertinence in weight the board of the bacterial equilibrium of the gut. Yet, what we can be sure of is that making a sound gut microbiome is one more justification for feeding your body well every single day.
Steps to take today
In my training, I see customers who have harm to their gut and coming about manifestations for various reasons including prescription use, less than stellar eating routine, or overabundance stress. So how would you be able to deal with recuperating that harm that might be happening every single day or may have happened numerous prior years?
Eat genuine food
I trust probably the greatest test confronting us in accomplishing an ideal eating routine today isn't really an excessive number of carbs or a lot of fat or every one of the turns that have been depicted to make the "right" diet. The test for so many of us genuinely boils down to genuine food versus food sources that are profoundly prepared. Investigate your eating regimen. How often each day do you eat food that has wandered altogether from its common source? Once, twice, ten-twenty times each day? On the off chance that you do one thing today, it is removed a choice that is exceptionally handled and substitute it for a bit of genuine, entire food - organic product, vegetable, or lean wellspring of protein.
Feed your gut what it needs
Your gut needs great microorganisms and it needs nourishment for microbes - robotics and prebiotics. Individuals may regularly go after an enhancement; however, there are likewise incredible food decisions. Probiotic food sources incorporate matured food sources like yogurt or kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, or fermented tea. Prebiotic food sources remember food varieties rich in fiber - think natural products, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. Furthermore, recollect - genuine food! Search for these alternatives that likewise have next to zero preparation. New or frozen leafy foods, nuts and seeds with at the most insignificant salt added, yogurt with little added sugar, and counterfeit fixings. What Really Happens After You Detox ? (Shocking Truth)
Scrubs and detoxes are stylish, mainstream, and guarantee to get out terrible poisons from your body and make you more advantageous. It's a tall guarantee, particularly since they can't for the most part point to a particular poisons that they're attempting to free you of.
In the course of recent years, the importance of "detox" has moved from a convention intended to free you of poisons to, regularly, only an eating regimen implied as an impermanent reset. It either guarantees quick weight reduction, or means to get you into the propensity for good dieting, with remaining impacts that will keep going throughout the entire year.
An issue with this way to deal with counting calories, however, is that an eating regimen that is intended to be impermanent is continually going to be too extraordinary to even think about lasting. For instance, perhaps you're removing sugar for ten days. That is pointless, yet a few people think that its a supportive advance toward bringing down their general sugar admission.
We Explain the Most Googled Diets
There were a ton of stylish weight control plans, including a couple even I hadn't knew about before I begun…
Understand more
The more old fashioned style of purges make this a stride further. You're frequently fasting, or just eating modest quantities of a particular nourishment or drink (like juice) in a routine intended to be transitory and uncommon.
What Cleanses and Detoxes Promise
Generally, a wash down and a detox are something very similar. They're regularly utilized reciprocally and have a similar fundamental objectives: to evacuate "hurtful" things from your body. Now and again, they intend to focus on a particular organ like the liver or colon, and as far as anyone knows, detoxing causes you to feel better.
Both frequently include constraining your nourishment admission to squeezed juice, dodging explicit kinds of nourishment, or drinking a creation of juices that as far as anyone knows frees your collection of poisons. These alleged poisons are once in a while portrayed by chemicals in detail, yet by and large alluded to as "toxic substances" or "contaminations." In the clinical field, poisons can allude to pretty much anything, from liquor, to nourishments, to meds, to asbestos. "Detoxing" can likewise allude to treatment for illicit drug use, however that is totally different—here, we're explicitly talking about these nourishment and-drink rinses.
There are very a considerable lot of these rinses and detoxes to burrow through, however here are 10 that Shape Magazine regarded mainstream in 2014, maybe the pinnacle of in vogue purges. For instance, how about we investigate the Master Cleanse, one of the most longstanding and famous scrubs out there. Here's an extract from the book that portrays precisely how the Master Cleanse functions:
The purify begins with a home grown purgative tea both morning and night. On the off chance that this isn't adequate to wipe out the intestinal tract, he exhorts a salt-water wash. These stops are important to evacuate the poisons released by the lemon juice wash down.
I was then to drink somewhere in the range of six and twelve glasses of lemonade, which comprised of lemon and maple syrup in appropriate extents, with a limited quantity of cayenne added to clean out the bodily fluid relaxed by the purge.
Sounds gross, isn't that so? All things considered, it may be justified, despite all the trouble for you on the off chance that you accept the guarantees indicated by Master Cleanse maker Stanley Burroughs:
For the beginner and the propelled understudy the same, purging is reason for end of each sort of infection. The motivation behind this book is to rearrange the reason and the adjustment everything being equal, paying little mind to the name or names. As we wipe out and right one ailment, we right them all, for each infection is revised by a similar procedure of purifying and building positive great wellbeing.
The metaphor goes on from that point, however you get the thought. Nourishment analyst Kamal Patel totals most scrubs up like so:
What integrates these eating regimens is a double point: weight reduction in addition to a thought that we have developed poisons in the body which are easing back us down and potentially executing us. So a normal scrub, suppose of juices just, is intended to move your digestive organs from assimilation and retention and towards "freeing the assortment of poisons". That is the place the advantages are professed to lie, yet they may really lie somewhere else.
Most rinses have comparable guarantees, asserting that going on a type of juice quick (or other purge) can free your group of destructive poisons.
What Happens in Your Body When You're On a Cleanse
We're all mindful that products of the soil are beneficial for us, so following that rationale recommends that an eating routine of simply foods grown from the ground must be very solid, correct? Right??
Not so much. On the off chance that you don't drink anything yet squeeze for seven days, you'll get more fit, however this is on the grounds that you're not eating, not on the grounds that your body is "detoxing". Water is put away in your muscles with glycogen. At the point when you eat a low calorie diet, you go through those glycogen stores, and lose the water weight with it. You'll put on that water weight directly back when you come back to your ordinary eating regimen. You're additionally passing up every one of those other imperative supplements like fat, fiber, and protein. Indeed, some rinses recommend that you keep away from practice when you're on them in light of the fact that your caloric admission is so low—which prompts weakness and wooziness.
Following a couple of days, your body is fundamentally barely getting by, and without protein your body may begin to separate muscle tissue. In like manner, the absence of fiber in your eating routine will in general effect the capacity of your digestive organ, which may disclose why individuals will in general depict their premonitions on a juice rinse as like the stomach influenza.
Above all, a juice rinse doesn't do whatever your body doesn't as of now do all alone. Dietitian Andy Bellatti advises us that our bodies are as of now truly great at expelling poisons. In the event that they weren't, and you required a yearly detox, we'd all presumably be dead:
Will drinking only squeeze for three or five days land you in the medical clinic or result in irreversible supplement inadequacies? No, yet it is likewise superfluous. Our bodies evacuate poisons regularly on account of the kidneys, lungs, and liver. The general purpose of heading off to the restroom is to flush out poisons!
While a large portion of these washes down and detoxes aren't risky, they can mess some up. Since juices do exclude a lot of fiber, the body winds up retaining more fructose sugar, which—as we as a whole know—isn't extraordinary for you in huge amounts.
The uplifting news about denying yourself is that it takes a long time to get any genuine nutrient inadequacies. The greater part of these purifies are most likely dumb yet not genuinely destructive, if everything you're doing is limiting nourishment for a couple of days.
Would you be able to Get Scurvy From Eating Nothing But Ramen?
It appears everyone knows somebody who knows somebody who got scurvy in school. So there was this…
Facts
With respect to the cases of disposing of poisons, most business detoxes don't list what a poison is. What's more, in any event, when they do, they don't give a proof that they work. In the event that they did, we could test the adequacy of their cases. A 2009 examination by Sense about Science checked 15 business detox items and found that none could name poisons, concur on a meaning of detox, or supply any proof for their cases.
The entirety of this is to state: the main thing a detox or squeeze purge really does to your body is make you ravenous and supplement denied for a couple of days.
Better Alternatives to Cleanses
Along these lines, washes down don't generally do anything profitable and a unique juice blend won't expel poisons from your framework. That doesn't mean you can't do different things to recover your wellbeing on target.
Truth be told, the possibility of a rinse is essentially only a reboot of your eating regimen, which Bellatti concurs with:
There is something to be said for doing "nourishment resets." That is, returning to the fundamental principles of energizing eating (for the most part eating entire, insignificantly prepared, to a great extent plant-based food sources) to reaccustom the taste buds to progressively unobtrusive flavors. That, be that as it may, ought not be mistaken for a wash down.
Be that as it may, he adds:
Sustenance and wellbeing is about the 10,000 foot view. What you accomplish for five or seven days out of the year is quite irrelevant.
Instead of stress over 'detoxing,' individuals would be in an ideal situation contemplating eating nutritious, wellbeing advancing nourishments consistently. Think verdant greens, beans, entire organic product, nuts, and seeds. The possibility that a half year of undesirable eating can by one way or another be helped by drinking only green juice for 72 hours is wrong.
In like manner, a genuine quick, as in, simply drinking water, has some exploration indicating that it's helpful. Patel clarifies:
Washes down some of the time include fasting or close fasting, and that can really have benefits, except if you have ailments or do it for a really long time. There is sufficient research showing the impact of fasting on life span; how fasting advances autophagy, diminishes mitochondrial oxidative pressure, general decline in signals related with maturing, and the possibility to forestall and treat incessant sickness, at any rate in some way or another. "Discontinuous fasting" might be a feasible choice for those in any case seeing explicit purify abstains from food. You essentially limit eating to a couple of hours daily (commonly around 8). That is a straightforward and reasonable method for eating, and doesn't include purchasing purify items.
Wellbeing and nourishment may appear to be a befuddling mess, however a sound eating routine is actually all you need. Not a contrivance, not seven days in length purge, not a detox. You'll require a full reboot of your eating regimen.

A month ago, I went on a blind date. My first blind date. Not only was it my first blind date, but it was also the first date of ANY kind that I had been on in years. That was actually why I told the friends setting us up that I didn’t want to know anything about him beforehand; I knew if I let myself think about the person, and thereby the whole world of dating, I would talk myself out of it before I even got to meet the guy. The date went well - like, unbelievably well. I can’t believe that was literally just 35 days ago, because I am truly crazy about this guy. I haven’t found one bad thing about him yet - until tonight.
For context: I have Crohn’s disease. It’s an inflammatory bowel disease, and I would tell you its symptoms, but one of the wildly frustrating parts about this disease is that there’s no one-size-fits-all symptoms list.
But back to tonight. It’s 9pm. I’m still at work, because I started a new job three weeks ago and have been putting in a lot of hours trying to figure it all out. I’ve had diarrhea and stomach pain day long. So my positive energy tank is already running on fumes when I get a text from my new, amazingly wonderful boyfriend. It says “I’m listening to a podcast that is super interesting about gut health and I thought you might enjoy it.”
Great. Another asshole who just heard about Crohn’s disease five seconds ago is about to ~cure me~ by telling me to drink some kombucha. Whyyyyyy? Why is he ruining everything by trying to fix a problem he knows nothing about? Why do people do that?
But, like I said, I really really like this guy. Everything about him feels so good. It doesn’t connect that he would be that person, that that would be his intention. So I ignore my brain’s massive eye roll, finish up at work, and decide to hear what the podcast has to say during my drive home.
In the thirty minutes of this three hour podcast that Dr. Rhonda Patrick was talking about gut health, here’s what she covered:
LDL proteins transport cholesterol to your cells, and the cells use the cholesterol to repair themselves. The LDL actually slices off a piece of itself to give to the cell for this process, and what remains of the LDL is transported back to the liver to be recycled out.
There are over 100 trillion bacteria in your gut. The majority of this is healthy bacteria, converting the food you eat into energy for your body. Your gut is also the place in your body with the highest concentration of immune cells.
The bacteria and the immune cells (white blood cells) are kept separate in your gut by the gut barrier, which is made of mucin (similar to mucus.)
When the gut barrier becomes compromised, the immune cells begin attacking the bacteria in your gut. As the bacteria is killed, it releases endotoxins. These endotoxins bind to the LDL that has sliced part of itself off to give away the cholesterol. This prevents the LDL from transporting back to the liver, so you just have LDL proteins covered in endotoxins stuck in your system. Your immune system recognizes all these lumps of endotoxins floating around and sends more white blood cells to fight and kill them. But it doesn’t work, because the white blood cells aren’t actually fighting bacteria like they think they are - they’re fighting LDL proteins that have bound to the endotoxins let out by the bacteria killed off in your gut when your gut barrier broke down. So you’re left with several things: a broken down gut barrier, a lack of healthy bacteria in your gut which means less energy being converted from food (and more room for unhealthy bacteria to take over), all these endotoxins just stuck in your gut/bloodstream, and too many white blood cells being produced. None of those are good things.
People with IBD will often notice mucin in their bowel movements. The gut barrier is literally breaking down and just exiting your body on a regular basis. To make more mucin and build that gut barrier back up, your body needs energy. When you don’t have a functional gut barrier, it’s a lot harder for your food to be converted into energy. Circle of death. Eating more fermentable fibers will create more short chain fatty acids in your gut which is what converts your food into energy. On the opposite end, when you eat food with a lot of refined carbohydrates, the saturated fat increases your body’s production of LDL proteins - which is not good, when you have endotoxins binding to all your LDL.
Kombucha feeds/energizes your gut cells so they can keep producing mucin for your gut barrier to strengthen.
A few years ago, she took a baseline sample of her poop and sent it off to be sequenced, to see what bacteria was and wasn’t present in her gut. Then she took “VSL #3 with sachets” probiotic every day for 30 days, and sent her poop off to be sequenced again. Huge increase in the amount of healthy bacteria in her gut (she didn’t specify how much) as well as a reduction of the amount of unhealthy bacteria. There are at least 25 studies that show effectiveness of this type of probiotic in treating IBS/colitis.
The reason she became so interested in gut health and was sequencing her own poop, etc., is because she had inflammatory bowel issues for years following an MRSA infection. Her doctor gave her three rounds of antibiotics, and when the infection still came back again, she decided to treat it herself without antibiotics. She got rid of the infection for good by using garlic/grapefruit seed extract/teatree oil/something else I had never heard of. But the damage to her gut from three rounds of super-antibiotics wrecked her system for YEARS. When she sought treatment for it, gastrointestinal doctors diagnosed her with neuropathy and suggested SSRIs and anticonvulsant medication. She refused. They never asked her about her diet, her medication history, nothing. She said “if I was a dummy - I shouldn’t say it like that - if I were a person who listened to authority, who just did what my doctors said, I might be stuck on a bunch of pointless medicines right now and would never have returned to a healthy gut.”
Do you know how much of that information I’ve been told throughout six years of being treated for inflammatory bowel disease by the “best, most-recommended” gastroenterologist in my state?
None of it.
None.
Of.
It.
When I asked if I should try drinking kombucha/taking probiotics, I was told “you could, but I don’t think it will help you. Your main concerns lately are acid reflux and diarrhea, and those aren’t the big symptoms of an unhealthy gut, so I don’t think that’s your problem.” I tried it anyway, but halfheartedly and with no guidance, and gave up faster than I should have.
I’ve noticed the mucin in my bowel movements for years, but the ONLY poop-related question I’m ever asked during visits is if I can see blood in it.
I too have had multiple experiences with MRSA infections and had to take round after round after round of antibiotics until it went away... the most recent time being a mere two months ago. TWO MONTHS AGO I got a staph infection in my eye, and now, four rounds of antibiotics later, I’m in the middle of a “flare up.”
My gastroenterologist has never asked about my history with antibiotics. When he asks about my diet, it’s never a conversation about healthy foods that might help or how different foods are interacting with my malfunctioning gut. It’s always just “these specific foods have been known to cause more pain, are you avoiding them?”
Eight months ago, I had a colonoscopy. There were no ulcers in my colon this time. He saw inflamed areas throughout my colon, but not general/total inflammation throughout the whole thing. What he actually said when I woke up was that if that had been his first/only look at my colon, he wouldn’t have diagnosed me with Crohn’s disease. So what does that mean? Am I just in remission? Do I not have it? If I don’t, what DO I have, because I’m obviously not healthy? His only answer was “I don’t know. we’ll just have to keep watching what happens and treating symptoms as best we can.”
I feel a strange combination of excitement and fury. why is htis podcast the first time this connection has been made for me? when i asked lydia about kombucha/probiotics and she said it wouldn’t help me. dr. lievens has never once asked about that, looked at my medication history, nothing. and he’s supposedly the best! i love “aha!” moments and this feels like one, but why the fuck is it just happening now?
Right now, I am just overflowing with questions. Every angle I think of it all from, I end up with six new questions and the list just keeps growing. But I also want to find out the answers. Which is more than I can say for my life lately before this.
Sorry Zach, you are still amazing and just like everything else about our relationship that seems to defy what’s supposed to be happening, that bubble has un-popped.

What 26 Years of Processed Foods Does to Your Body
Years Living With Processed Foods
How long have you been living with processed foods?
“Please help me go, please help me go” —a breath prayer I often said aloud for years while sitting in the Loo (i.e. on the toilet)—in the pit of discomfort!
I often just WANTED (and needed) to “go,” but, many times, I not able to “go” for days.
Constipation is Real
Stuck—often times how I felt in my own skin. Stuck in my gut. Constipated. And like my body was at war, in my own skin.
At age 26, even though I ate “healthy” (on paper), something was not right.
Greens? Check.
Sweet potatoes? Check.
Salmon? Check.
Almonds? Check.
Eggs? Check.
Broccoli? Check.
Coconut Butter and Coconut Oil? Check.
I was doing ALL the “right things,” so why did it have to hurt so much?
Answer: Healthy “being” goes far beyond diet alone.
At least once you’ve been enlightened…
Exhibit A: Day 1 Nutrition School (You & I Are NOT Alone)
“Stand up and introduce yourself. What got you interested in studying nutrition?” the teacher said.
One by one, my class of about 40 other aspiring nutrition therapy practitioners had to stand up and give their “elevator speech” as to why we were all sitting upright in the classroom, pen and paper in hand, eager, anxious and beaming with BIG vision, to learn how to save the world one food myth at a time.
As we went around the room sharing our stories, one by one, we also began to realize that…we were not alone.
Many of my fellow classmates were survivors of the processed-food, antibiotic, vaccine, sedentary lifestyle and chronic disease generation, and somehow, had all lived to tell about it.
“My son was diagnosed with Autism, and the doctors told me there was nothing we could do about it except lots of therapies and behavior plans. So I did some research myself, and began to find stories about the brain-gut connection—how food can influence how we think and help kids with Autism. As a family, we started the GAPS diet, and my son, who was non-verbal, said his first words,” Charlotte said.
“I was a vegetarian and vegan for over 15 years, and on the cusp of my 30th birthday, I got sick—really sick,” Lynan said. “My skin was pale, my hair started falling out, my nails were brittle, I was tired all the time, lost my period, and began experiencing bloating around meals all the time. Something wasn’t right. I thought it was something to do with my hormones, or maybe mono, or anemia, so I went to a doctor a friend recommended and he said nothing was wrong with me.
I just needed to eat meat again, telling me, “You know you are doing the same thing to your body that inhumane chicken and beef farms do to their animals—feeding them lots of grains and processed foods, restricting them from all the nutrients their bodies need to thrive. Your body needs balance,” …I was so desperate for anything to feel better, so I gave it a try, and within a matter of months, all my health problems went away. I got my period and energy back, the bloating subsided and I felt better than I had in those 15 years,” Lynan said.
“I got terminal brain cancer. The doctors gave me 2, maybe 3 months, to live, and told me it had spread through every bone in my body and that there was nothing I could do,” Bob said, adding, “But then I looked on the nutrition label of the tube-feeding formula the healthcare company sent me, only to see the worlds ‘Nestle’ and ‘high fructose corn syrup’ on the ‘medicine’ meant to help me get the extra nutrients I needed, and I thought, ‘There’s got to be another way.’ So I decided to start juicing my own food and smoothies for my feeding tube, and just ate real food. Months later, I was completely cancer free and years later, I have a son they never told me I could have and I lived to tell about it. I want to help people,” Bob said.
Mic drop.
Nope. None of us were alone.
What 26 Years of Processed Foods Does to Your Body
We all have a story. Often times, multiple stories. That shape us for the better or the worse. Your stories are written via your life experiences, and chances are, when it comes to your health, you’ve had multiple experiences that have set the stage for where your body (and health markers) are today.
Even if you “eat healthy” and “do all the right things” today, your past experiences paved way for the way you feel (or don’t feel) now.
I’m a Survivor
Hi, I am Lauryn and I am a survivor of the processed food, “take a Tylenol or Tums” (for everything), antibiotic, “drink juice as your water,” frozen broccoli (with cheese sauce), Lean-Cuisines-and-Quest-Bars are convenient (and healthy) generation.
For the first 26 years of my life, my body didn’t see a real food—really.
Sure, I ate Fiber One cereal, not Cookie Crisp, for breakfast. Packed 99% lean turkey on whole wheat bread with pretzels (not chips) for lunch (with the special occasion Pizza Lunchable). Noshed on apple slices (with Peter Pan peanut butter), or string cheese and whole grain Wheat Thins between meals, and I ate a low-fat dinner, including a protein, starch and veggie with a glass of milk most nights for dinner…but even though I was eating “healthy,” (according to Standard American Diet criteria), my body did not see a real food.
Fast forward to my teens and college years, when I began to make my own food choices for myself, I looked to magazines, social media, and Google for advice on what to eat (and not eat), following hundreds of food rule under the sun. If it was deemed “healthy,” or “clean” by Shape or Cosmo, it was “a-ok “with me including: protein bars and protein powders, frozen dinners, raw veggies, tons of nuts and almond butter, egg white omelets, and no carbs, no meats or no fats (depending on the popular trend at the time).
Eating disorder treatment is a whole other can of worms complicating the story. Over the accumulated three years of my life spent in inpatient treatment centers and hospitals, along with the 15 years of meal plans with prescriptions to eat McDonald’s Egg McMuffins and Dairy Queen Blizzard’s, I equally did not see (or eat) a real food—at least not much of it.
The universal theme? My body—namely my gut—didn’t know how to deal with the influx of foods that were difficult to digest. The result? A host of inflammation and imbalances.
Even though, at age 26 I found “real food,” was well beyond my eating disorder and discovered the art of “stressing less,” I had ALOT of “damage” to heal and make up for from the previous 26 years of my life.
In short: How you feel today (or how you will feel tomorrow, or 10-50 years from now) is a result of the choices you made years ago.
Survey Says
I spent the entire 26th year of life, studying nutrition and forming the foundations of my current functional medicine, nutrition and therapy business.
The next year, I found myself in two rigorous functional medicine trainings and sinking my teeth (and brain) into anything that explained more about WHY I felt the way I felt (i.e. constipated and bloated ALL the time), trying to understand WHY it seemed like no doctors could help me just feel good in my own skin. Instead of believing “bloating and constipation are just a part of life,” I dedicated my studies and used my body as my own experiment to find out if healing was truly possible.
The following images from a few of my lab tests are just a glimpse of what 26 years of processed foods, lifestyle and gut stress does to your body.
Osteoporosis:
Cause: Malnutrition, lack of essential fatty acids, inability to absorb nutrients (“leaky gut”) and bacterial overgrowth
SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth)
Cause: High grain consumption, low stomach acid, stress, overtraining, artificial sweeteners, low fat diets, FODMAP foods, antibiotics, processed and packaged foods
High Cortisol (i.e. stress hormone)
Cause: “Leaky gut,” overtraining (or sedentary lifestyle), lack of quality sleep, lack of water, burning a candle at both ends (trying to do it all), gut-inflammatory foods and food intolerances, high caffeine or sugar/artificial sweetener consumption, NOT going with your gut (and being true to yourself), LED light/screen exposure
The Bottom Line
Knowledge is power, and healing IS possible—(even with 26 years+ of processed foods and other health stressors under your belt).
The secret?
It goes far beyond “clean eating”….
How to Heal Your Gut
It’s easier than you think. It involves 3 simple steps:
Step 1: Identify the Underlying Root Cause(s) of your Gut Issues
(note: even if you don’t have bloating or IBS or constipation, skin issues, allergies, thyroid/hormone imbalances and “slow metabolism” issues ALSO are often rooted in your gut) often made out to be more complicated than it is. Common “root causes” of gut issues include:
Environmental toxic burden
SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth)
Parasites, fungal or bacterial infection
Dysbiosis (imbalanced gut bacteria)
Food intolerances
Intestinal permeability
Chronic infections (Lyme, Ebstein Barr)
Bonus:
To figure out your root causes, the fastest route to seeing a clearer picture of everything going on is testing (not guessing) your health woes. Work with a functional medicine practitioner who can help you decide what (if any) testing may be helpful including:
Stool testing
Comprehensive blood chemistry testing (not just a CBC)
SIBO breath testing
Organic acids testing
DUTCH hormone/cortisol testing
IgG, IgA, IgE food intolerance/allergy testing
Heavy metals/essential nutrients testing
Step 2: Get Back to the Basics
You cannot supplement or eat your way out of a stressful lifestyle. The “unsexy” simple health basics are game-changers for calming stress AND gut healing including:
Eating a nutrient-dense, whole-foods ancestral diet (proteins, carbs and fats included)
Drinking half your bodyweight in ounces of water daily
Taking a quality probiotic, prebiotics and eating fermented and prebiotic foods daily
Sleeping 7-9 hours per night
Resetting your circadian rhythm (limiting screen exposure/artificial light at night; eating at normal times; getting fresh air)
Daily movement/exercise (but not TOO much)
Step 3: Heal (Don’t Manage) Your Symptoms
Healing your gut is not just about taking probiotics and drinking kombucha. Once you identify your ROOT causes of your gut imbalances, you must take action steps to HEAL your gut (not just manage gut health or suppress symptoms).
This step will be unique to you and is best first accomplished with the guidance of a skilled practitioner. Request a complimentary 10-minute consult with Dr. Lauryn’s clinic today to start your own healing journey.

How To Eliminate Morgellons
When Morgellons disease was first recognized most doctors believed it to be a delusional disorder, that it didn’t exist, that is was most likely a combination of delusional parasitosis and obsessive picking of the skin. Doctors told their patients that Morgellons was all in their head, except for the skin lesions caused by self-abuse. Fortunately, scientists did some research. Recent studies have shown that the filaments accompanying Morgellons are composed of keratin and collagen and that is caused by the proliferation of keratinocytes and fibroblasts in epithelial tissue. Some researchers believe that the cause of this disease is an infection from a tick bite.
The study proved that filaments are not cellulose as found in cotton, linen, or other plant-based textile fibers, or chitin which would indicate fungal cells or insect exoskeletons.
They are biofilaments of human cellular origin produced by epithelial cells and stem from deeper layers of the epidermis, the upper layers of the dermis, and the root sheath of hair follicles.” – NCBI
Though studies are showing that the disease is real, conventional medicine is, of course, slow to acknowledge the disease. Googling “what causes Morgellons disease” gets you this non-answer:
Morgellons disease is a delusional disorder that leads to the belief that one has parasites or foreign material moving in, or coming out of, the skin. Morgellons disease is a little-known disorder that is often associated with nonspecific skin, nerve, and psychiatric symptoms. Some refer to it as a fiber disease.” – MedicineNet.com
But, the next article is titled, Studies show that infections–not delusion–cause Morgellons disease.
Morgellons involves many symptoms common to auto-immune sufferers including:
chronic, severe fatigue
joint pain
neurological problems
memory and cognitive disruptions (including brain fog)
mood changes
crawling sensations on and under the skin
the sensation of itching or biting
skin eruptions or lesions with little black specks on or under the skin
filaments or threads under the skin and erupting from the skin
Morgellons and Lyme disease have a lot in common. Both were thought to be mostly psychosomatic. Both are thought to be transmitted from a tick bite. Both are autoimmune diseases that cause the first four symptoms listed above. Both may be caused by Borrelia spirochetes (corkscrew-shaped bacteria associated with tick-borne diseases). And both can be healed through the same means.
Like many of our readers, I first heard about Morgellons Disease back in 2015 when singer/songwriter Joni Mitchell was hospitalized for the disease. In 2010, she told the Los Angeles Times, “Fibers in a variety of colors protrude out of my skin like mushrooms after a rainstorm: they cannot be forensically identified as animal, vegetable or mineral.”
We published an article about the disease in 2015 and then I received more than a dozen calls and emails asking for help within a couple of months. Within the last few years, I’ve helped teach more than twenty people how to regain their health and rid their body of all Morgellons symptoms. The good news is that every single person was able to eliminate the disease.
I suspected a Morgellons was a fungus. It looks like I was wrong about that. But, whether it’s Lyme, Morgellons, diabetes, cancer, or depression, the only treatment that works is holistic with primary emphasis on gut health. The reason for this is that an unhealthy gut overwhelms the immune system, whereas a healthy immune system (one that is not overwhelmed) can rid the body of almost any disease.
Below is a list of recommended supplements, but the right diet is absolutely imperative. Don’t skimp on the diet!
Morgellons Diet and Supplement Protocol
Here are three articles I put together on diet. This is indicative of how my family eats every single day.
Detox Cheap and Easy Without Fasting – Recipes Included
Start Eating Like That and Start Eating Like This – Your Guide to Homeostasis Through Diet
How to Make the Healthiest Smoothies – 4 Recipes
We start off with cranberry lemonade and a huge salad every morning. For lunch, we sometimes do a smoothie or we snack on some nuts and/or fruit or we just finish our massive 11-cup salads. For dinner, we always cook from scratch, which takes preparation and time, but it gets easier. Rice and beans, quinoa, lentils, millet, oatmeal, and amaranth are common staples for our cooked meals. We add lots of raw vegetables and herbs to our dinners as well, for instance, the rice and beans go great with chopped tomatoes and avocado, diced onions and garlic, and shredded turmeric and ginger. Eat raw herbs and cooked herbs together for maximum health benefits.
This is truly a lifestyle, not a diet, and it’s one we live every day. You may not need to go to this extreme to rid your body of disease, but I find that most who are dealing with chronic illness need to take it this far, at least for a few months.
The salads are the most important part of this protocol! In fact, they are the most important part of all of my protocols. More than supplements, more than anything save getting enough water, the right kind of salads are imperative. Eat lots of salads with tons of different vegetables and herbs. Make sure they have at least 15 different vegetables and herbs. If you could see what packing your gut with salad does to your ecosystem under a microscope, you’d understand why I’m so passionate about salads. There is nothing more beneficially life-changing than developing a salad habit when the salads are big and diverse and homemade. They do more than any supplement or any other food to clean the intestinal walls of filth and develop a beneficial gut ecosystem. And that is the key to good health. A beneficial gut microbiome is a fortress against undigested proteins and unwanted pathogens. When the gut is not well these intestinal walls allow undigested proteins and pathogens to seep into the bloodstream wrecking havoc on the immune system. Salads feed the right gut microbes and the right microbes build a healthy microbiome.
The cranberry lemonade helps keep the kidneys and liver working optimally. These organs typically get sluggish quickly when lots of pathogens are killed. If salads are #1, this cranberry lemonade is #2, and supplements are a distant #3.
For those with very serious gut issues, legumes and grains will be a no-no for the first few weeks, but when enough salad has been consumed, the gut should be able to reap many benefits from cooked foods like the dinner meals aforementioned.
Sweet fruit should be severely limited, and for the very ill, avoided until the gut is working better. Grapefruit, cranberry, avocado, lime, and lemon do not fall under this category.
Drinking fruit juice, even fresh homemade fruit juice, is not much better for you than refined sugar, so don’t make the common mistake of thinking a fresh-juice fast is going to get you well. It has its benefits, but it doesn’t usually rid the body of chronic disease.
Now that diet is covered, here’s the supplement part:
Supplement Stack #1 – On an empty stomach, twice a day, early morning and late night
2 Abzorb (this is a probiotic and a systemic enzyme)
2 cups of cranberry lemonade
Optional: Add a serving of the MycoPhyto Complex
Optional: Additional systemic enzymes (systemic enzymes break down proteins that should not be in the body)
Supplement Stack #2 – With meals, three times a day:
5 of the SF722
Shillington’s Blood Detox Tea
Shillington’s Blood Detox Formula
Oil of Oregano
Coptis Chinensis / Chinese Goldthread
Shillington’s Echinacea+
MycoPhyto Complex
Optional: one serving of MycoPhyto Complex
Optional Intestinal Cleanse (if bowel movements are slow)
Also, take absorb with any food that is difficult to digest.
If you can’t afford many supplements, or are overwhelmed by this information and don’t know where to begin, contact me. I don’t ever charge to talk to people.
Protocol
6am – Supplement Stack #1
Take two Abzorb with a big glass of cranberry lemonade. This is the right time to take systemic enzymes if you chose to take them.
9am – Supplement Stack #2
Salad time! The MycoPhyto Complex company recommends to take on an empty stomach, but I like to take it with salads and smoothies too.
12pm – Supplement Stack #2
Homemade Smoothie Time! If you’re extremely ill you may need to wait on the smoothies and just double up on the salads for the first week, but I’ve found that many people who were suffering from a plethora of ailments and having trouble recovering responded very well to pineapple smoothies. Pineapple smoothies (made with fresh pineapple), like the ones I have recipes for in the above link, pack a massive amount of enzymes and can help break down a lot of junk in the gut, while delivering large amounts of nutrition. But, fruit smoothies have plenty of sugar, so it’s a good time to repeat the supplements from 9am.
Use pineapple, coconut water, water, cranberry juice, or if you can withstand some sugar try granny smith apple juice, but don’t use sweet fruit juices for smoothies. Always use fresh pineapple when using pineapple. Always add as many vegetables and herbs as you can. I also suggest adding Total Nutrition Formula or something similar (here’s a recipe). If you want to make a smoothie without pineapple, I recommend coconut water as the liquid. Check out our smoothie article for more ideas.
3pm – Week 1 – Supplement Stack #2
3pm – Week 2 – Supplement Stack #1
6pm – Supplement Stack #2
Dinner time! Everything from scratch, nothing pre-made in any way, all whole food ingredients. See this article for more info and don’t hesitate to contact me.
9pm – Supplement Stack #1
Finish off the night with probiotic support and leave them alone for the night to do their thing.
Three More Supplements to Consider – Die-0ff, Heavy Metal Detox, & Bowel Movements
If a Herxheimer reaction is a concern (die-off) be sure to drink plenty of cranberry lemonade and I also recommend adding Total Nutrition Formula and the Intestinal Detox. Here’s a recipe to make your own Total Nutrition. This way you’ll get bentonite clay, charcoal, chlorella, spirulina, and more, which are all great for mitigating the die-off effects of a Candida detox, and they also chelate heavy metals.
You can take the Total Nutrition Formula with the smoothie or sprinkle it on the salad (or choke it down with water), and take the Intestinal Detox anytime throughout the day as directed.
If you’re not defecating easily and at least twice daily, I also highly recommend the Intestinal Cleanse. It kills parasites and moves the bowels better than anything else on the market that I know of, by far. I recommend taking it with the antimicrobials.
Conclusion
Morgellons is scary. It often causes otherwise social people to become unemployed shut-ins. Unless the doctor is abreast of the latest science, they will likely treat someone with Morgellons as if they’re mad. It’s a really hard thing to live with. Medical science does not yet really understand it, but understanding a disease doesn’t typically help big pharma to cure a disease. The good news is that every single person that I’ve worked with was able to completely eliminate all of the symptoms. It takes a few months, and a lot of discipline, but it’s very doable. The first step is to heal the gut.

Humans are Space Orcs, “Workout.”
Forgive me for being short today, But I have a Russian test in less than an hour, and it is on numbers which is the most excruciating part of this language lol.
Hope you all have a good day :)
The human pulled to a stop huffing and puffing, hands on his knees as he took in great big breaths. Krill could see ribs through his skin as the great bellows expanded and then contracted. Sweat slicked the skin as the body desperately tried to cool itself.
“Heart rate 165.”
The human straightened himself out coughing once or twice to clear his throat, reaching out and wiping his face with a towel.
He threw the towel over one shoulder and stretched the large muscle groups in his chest, stomach and back pulling tight.
Sunny leaned against the wall just to their right both sets of arms crossed over her chest, “So, what is this supposed to be fore. Is this like a dominance thing or something.”
The human wiped his face again and raised an eyebrow, “IT’s exercises, Sunny. You know so I can be fit enough to pass the UNSC PT exam, or perhaps so that I can do my job better, or maybe because I look better whenI’m more fit.
Sunny turned her head to look at him, her eyes scrunching down a little as Krill went to take notes on a clipboard.
“You mean…. You didn’t just grow to being that size?’
The human glanced down at Krill incredulous, “IS she serious? Do the Drev like, not have to work out?”
Krill shook his head, “Drev do not have subcutaneous fat deposits like humans do. Any acquired deposits are stored below the carapace between the connective tissue, padding them down and giving them more protection.”
Sunny looked between them in confusion, “Wait, hold on…. I’m confused.”
The human towelled off his hair, “I have to work out to look like this sunny. IF i don’t use it, I lose it.”
She turned to look at Krill.
He tucked the holo-pad under one arm, “You see, Sunny. Humans are meant to adapt. They can adapt mentally, and they can adapt physically. The body changes to match the requirements of its environment. Sometimes this takes years to do, for instance if you take a light skinned population of humans and put them somewhere with a lot of sun, and keep that population in complete isolation, after a few generations, the skin will darken to compensate for the increased UV light. However these things happen on a smaller level. The body fluctuates to adapt to the amount of physical work which is required.”
The human nodded, “Exactly. Running strengthens the heart, and it increases the hemoglobin in my blood, so that I can run for a longer time with more oxygen. If I were to stop running, I would loose all of that and have to work back up.”
Sunny stared at him incredulous, “So, you have to force your body to be able to perform correctly. Like, It can’t just DO what it needs to do, but you have to convince it over years of training to be able to do what you want.”
The man shrugged, “Well anything sucks when you phrase it like that.” He turned and motioned them to follow, “Historically, humanity was evolved in an environment with little food. We ate a diet heavy in proteins, fiber, and natural carbs from fruit. Fat is an essential part of a human’s diet, but it is relatively difficult to find in nature because of this, the body adapted to make humans love and crave fatty and sugary foods for energy. Well since well into the twentieth eighteenth century, fatty foods were becoming commonplace, and easy to get our hands on, but the body wasn’t aware of that, so it continued to treat these new fatty foods the way our bodies would have treated them back when we were hunter/gatherers storing every last bit up for use later.”
Sunny followed after in fascination, “I see, so now you have…. Too much of a food that your body craves.”
The human looked over his shoulder, “You got it, and the body doesn’t know when to stop storing fat. It’ll just keep going. So if I were to sit on my ass all day eating chips, I would lose the muscle and I would get bigger as fat deposits were stored up for energy.”
Sunny shrugged, “What is the problem with that?”
The human tapped his chin lightly, “A few things, I guess. For me, at least, if I were to just stop working out, I wouldn’t be able to do my job as well, I wouldn't be able to run as far, or to jump as high, or to lift as much. And lifting myself up in a pullup would be impossible, and considering the amount of times we have all almost fallen off a cliff or had to haul ourselves up rope, you would think that would be a bad idea. Not to mention that the larger you are the harder your heart has to work as the blood supply is forced to expand, and since you aren't working out your heart it gets weaker but has to do more work, which --in turn-- increased the risk of heart issues. Compounding all that I wouldn't be able to sit in a cockpit or pilot a jet properly.”
Sunny shook her head, “That seems like a very… annoying model. You can never just relax. You always have to work to keep your body where it should be. And the amount of self control you have to have….”
The human laughed, “You have no idea how much self control I need when a box of doughnuts gets in my way.” He sighed, “Keeping my abs as been a real struggle, but the UNSC drilled some self discipline into me when I was still young.”
“So you weren't always this big.”
The human snorted, “no not in the slightest. In fact, I was so skinny, you could see my heart beating through my rib cage.
Sunny grimaced.
“Yeah I know, kinda gross. Those are your two directions. If you don’t work out your either super scary skinny, or you get a bit big. If you’re working out right you get muscles.” He turned around flexing proudly for them to outline the lines of his biceps, chest and stomach.
Sunny would have rolled her eyes back into her head, but she supposed, now that she knew he had to work for it, she was at least somewhat proud of him.
“Ok, I have a question then.”
“Shoot.”
“Can you get bigger?”
More laughter, “Oh yeah, totally, but I’m not THAT dedicated.”
They were just coming around a corner when the commander skidded to a halt eye to chest with an absolutely massive human.
Even sunny stepped back in surprise.
This human was large enough to look sunny in the eye, with shoulders about as wide as her, and a chest that looked like it could have benched a small car.
It was almost comical, a moment ago Sunny had assumed that the commander was a large human.
“Wow there big mean. I’’d rather not get steamrolled today, thanks.”
The large human glanced down at the commander.
“Sir.” He grunted before stepping around and walking up the hall.
Sunny watched him go, “What do you have to do to get that big!”
“You practically have to live at the gym.”
They turned the corner walking into a large room, with strange machines of unknown use.
ANd in here there were humans of all sizes and shapes, but most of them absolutely massive. Those who lacked height, did not lack muscle.
Male humans, female humans, all of the above.
A tiny female human stood at one of these machines carrying a bar on her shoulders with enough weight that sunny assumed it might crush her. Instead she squatted down to the floor and stood back up.
The captain blinked, “Holy shit.” He motioned towards her, “She squats more than me by the way. You see these guys are insane. I work out to maintain, these guys do it because its their hobby.”
Krill floated upwards to whisper in sunny’s ear, “For the muscle to enlarge, the fibers must tear open, and then the body comes back and repairs the tear to withstand the pressures that tore it in the first place.
Sunny stared at Krill incredulously, “So you're telling me, they just…. Tear themselves apart to get like that.”
The Commander left them standing in place walking over to the wall and jumping upwards, catching his hands around a black bar welded to the wall, the muscles in his back, just below the shoulder blades flexed as he pulled himself upwards, the muscles in his shoulder blades rolling under the skin.
They continued to watch as the commander did his set, a little bit of everything for demonstration purposes. Getting off one of the leg machines, one of these large female humans walked past sitting where he had just sat reaching out pulling out the peg and and bringing the weight almost to the bottom of the plates.
The commander leaned in, “See her, she could probably crush your skull using just her legs.” He sighed, “Man, I only WISH I could be that badass.” He looked up at sunny, “Sometimes I come here just to knock myself down a peg.”
Across the room, one of these massive humans was hauling a huge bar lined with weight on either side up over his head like it was nothing.
“You see that, that would probably invert my spine if I tried to do it.” “Must you be so graphic?” Krill wondered
“Yeah, because that’s how much of a wuss I am.”
Looking around, Sunny wasn’t convinced entirely of his status as a wuss. He had all the requisite muscle groups of, even the largest humans, and more than some. There were great swatches of the human population who, even here, were missing some things.
A few of the humans had large arms, ut small legs, small legs, but large arms, no chest, or chest and no abdominal muscles.
Yes sure, he may have been smaller than their largest, but he WAS well rounded arms, chest, stomach, legs, back and shoulders.
She found herself surprised at the smug satisfaction in comparing her human to the other humans.
Sure her human couldn’t bench THAT much, but he also had better legs, so there.
“You ok, Sunny?”
She turned her head to look at him.
“Just thinking.” She said
He shrugged at her and returned to his work.
It’s hard to be a human.
They have to work for everything they have, especially when it comes to their body.

Can Chinchillas Eat Cheese?
Chinchillas are rodents, and rodents eat cheese, right? As it turns out, cheese might be one of the worst things you could feed a chinchilla.
Can chinchillas eat cheese? They shouldn't as they're lactose intolerant, so cheese can cause bloating and diarrhea. Your chinchilla's gut doesn't contain the right bacteria to digest cheese, so it ferments, causing gas. As chinchillas struggle to pass gas it can build up and rupture your pet's stomach or gut. Even if it didn't, cheese is too high in fat and calories so will make your chinchilla overweight. We recommend healthy treats like rose hips or sweet hay instead.
The guide below first looks at the precise nutritional content of cheese to figure out why it isn't suitable for chinchillas. It will then look at the potential side-effects of cheese and various cheese products like low fat and lactose-free. And while we don't recommend feeding any, we've also suggested guidelines on how much to feed if you're going to do so anyway (and it's not a lot!)
Can Chinchillas Eat Cheese?
Chinchillas have no trouble physically eating cheese. It won't make your pet choke, and it isn't instantly poisonous. But there are several problems with cheese that make it unsuitable:
Chinchillas can't or struggle to digest lactose
Cheese is very high in calories, which is especially bad as it's so dense
The carbohydrate, fat, protein and fiber levels in cheese are unsuitable for your chinchilla's diet
As such, we recommend against feeding your chinchilla any cheese.
Do Chinchillas Like Cheese?
Chinchillas enjoy any kind of food that isn't like normal hay. While they will be happy and thrive even if they never have treats, snacks do get your pet excited, and cheese is no different. On top of that, cheese is high in fat and calories, so is enormously appetizing (for reasons we'll get to later).
What your chinchilla won't enjoy are the after-effects of eating cheese. Bloating and diarrhea can both be very painful for your pet, and the calories in cheese (roughly twice what your chinchilla needs per 100g) will eventually make your pet gain weight.
Why Can't Chinchillas Eat Cheese?
Rodent or not, chinchillas can't eat cheese because of its unsuitable nutritional content, high-calorie density and potential to cause bloating and diarrhea. To understand why cheese is so unsuitable, we first have to look at the specific levels of each nutrient in cheese, and compare them to what chinchillas really need.
Nutrients in Cheese
The table below uses data from NutritionValue.org, and details the nutrients you'll find in regular cheddar cheese. While there are many varieties of cheese, they are all generally high in calories and contain lots of fat and protein, so the table below applies to all kinds.
Nutrients Amount per 100g Requirements Carbohydrate 3.4g 35g Sugar 0.5g 5g Fat 33g 2-4g Protein 23g 16-21g Fiber 0g 30g Water 36.75g 10-15g Calories 403 200
As is clear, the core issue is that cheese is very high in calories compared to a chinchilla's normal food. It's roughly twice the calories per weight, so if you feed your chinchilla cheese regularly, it will get fatter.
Cheese & Weight Gain
You can figure out how cheese will affect your chinchilla's weight by using basic math. Chinchillas eat 5% of their body weight per day, so if your chinchilla weighs 500g (roughly average), it will eat 25g of hay. Timothy hay contains between 45-50 calories per 25g, so that's about your chinchilla's daily calorific needs. That means a tiny 12-13g slice of cheese would give your pet all the calories it needs in a day. That's about the weight of two quarters.
This problem is made worse because cheese is much easier for your chinchilla to eat than hay. Eating ten grams of hay takes your pet a lot of effort. It has to cut the hay into small chunks with its incisors, before grinding it down slowly with its molars. And because hay is so light, your chinchilla has to eat a lot of stalks of hay to eat ten whole grams. But cheese can be eaten much more easily because:
It's a soft texture so your chinchilla hardly has to chew it
It's a far denser food than hay; ten grams is a small chunk of cheese, while ten grams of hay is a physically large amount (to your chinchilla at least); in any case a lot larger than ten grams of cheese
Your chinchilla will enjoy having something new to snack on
On top of all that, your chinchilla is hard-wired to eat as much cheese as it possibly can. That's not specific to cheese, but to any fatty, high-calorie food. That's because these foods are rarely found in the wild, so animals that encounter them have to make the most of them and eat as much as possible in one go.
What this means is that your chinchilla will eat lots of cheese if given the chance. In this sense, cheese is to a chinchilla what unhealthy snack foods are to people—and, in fact, what cheese is to people as it's an unhealthy food for us too!
Carbohydrates, Fat, Protein & Fiber in Cheese
Besides the issue of weight gain, cheese doesn't offer the right amount of each nutrient. Here's a list that breaks this issue down:
Cheese has nowhere near enough carbohydrate. Carbohydrates are like basic energy. Hay gives your chinchilla just about enough energy to get through the day, which is why your pet sleeps so often (and no, that's not a bad thing—the same applies to wild chinchillas too).
Cheese has far too much fat. The high calorie density of cheese is due to its fat content. Chinchillas hardly need any fat because they get precious little of it in the wild.
Cheese has no fiber whatsoever, while chinchillas need more even than we do. Fiber makes stool firm, and your chinchilla's digestive system is set up perfectly to break down even tough fibers. To be blunt, low-fiber foods shoot right through your pet's gut.
Cheese has too much water. Even though it's not a watery food like cucumber or celery, cheese still contains far too much water for your pet. This combines with low fiber content to make your chinchilla's stool soft, even runny.
As for the sugar and protein content of cheese, this isn't too far from what a chinchilla needs. But considering the list above, and the issues of weight gain, bloating and diarrhea, this is hardly benefit enough.
Vitamins and Minerals in Cheese
Cheese isn't regarded as any kind of health food, but it contains a surprising variety of minerals and vitamins.
Vitamin/MineralAmount per 100gVitamin A1242IUVitamin B20.428mgVitamin B50.41mgVitamin B60.066mgVitamin B121.1mcgVitamin D0.6mgVitamin E0.71mgCalcium710mgCopper0.03mgPhosphorus455mgSelenium28.5mcgSodium653mgZinc3.64mg
One issue here is cheese's high level of calcium. Calcium is one mineral that chinchillas need a controlled intake of; both deficiencies and excesses can cause health problems. Your chinchilla likely gets close to its calcium needs through its hay, especially if the pellets you feed it contain alfalfa (which is high in calcium). As such, feeding cheese on top of an appopriate diet could cause excess calcium and resulting bladder stones. If your chin has low calcium, a far better way to increase its intake is though a cuttle bone.
While having an excess of the other vitamins and minerals here isn't as likely or as dangerous, the large quantity of them in cheese is at best useless. Your chinchilla can get everything it needs from hay and hay pellets, so supplementation of the diet with micronutrient-dense snacks is pointless.
Can Chinchillas Eat Cheese Puffs?
Cheese puffs aren't suitable either, but not for the precise same reasons.
Most kinds of cheese puff do have real cheese (or at least real whey powder) in them. They therefore contain lactose just like real cheese, although not as much. They would therefore cause similar problems to regular cheese, albeit not as bad. Instead, the main problems with cheese puffs are:
They're high in fats, sugars and salts so will make your chinchilla gain weight
They're low in micronutrients, so fed in large enough quantities could cause deficiency
Your chinchilla's gut isn't used to maize or wheat that cheese puffs are typically made from
So overall, they're even worse for chinchillas than they are for us!
Can Chinchillas Eat Low-Fat Cheese?
Cheese with some or most of the fat removed would be better than regular cheese. It's far lower in calories, and has closer to a chinchilla's actual fat requirements. But despite that, we still wouldn't recommend it.
That's because low-fat cheese still contains lactose, and it's lactose that your chinchilla struggles to digest the most. It's lactose that can cause soft stool and bloating, which are the two most severe side effects of your chinchilla eating cheese.
Can Chinchillas Eat Lactose-Free Cheese?
Lactose-free cheese would be better again than low-fat cheese. Lactose-free cheese can be made from things like coconut oil, almonds and soy.
Again though, lactose-free cheese still has drawbacks, so you shouldn't feed it. Just because the cheese doesn't have lactose in it, that doesn't mean it's healthy: it's still high in fat, and your chinchilla's gut still isn't used to it. It may therefore still have some bloating effect, and would make your chinchilla gain weight if fed as a regular snack.
Is Cheese Poisonous to Chinchillas?
Adult chinchillas are lactose intolerant. So, while cheese isn't 'poisonous' per se, it's not good for your chinchilla's gut.
This might come as a surprise, as lactose intolerance seems like a very 'human' condition. But people are actually the only animal that continues drinking milk and eating dairy products after childhood. As such, people who eat dairy have the same gut bacteria they had when they were younger—the gut bacteria that can digest lactose. The same can't be said for your chinchilla, as once chinchillas wean, they never drink milk or eat dairy again.
As such, eating cheese causes the same gut problems in chinchillas as it does in people who are lactose intolerant. Your chinchilla's gut can't fully break down the cheese, so rather than being digested, the cheese ferments. This produces lots of gas, and can also cause diarrhea.
The problem is that chinchillas can't pass gas easily. This gas therefore builds up until there's far too much of it, causing your chinchilla significant discomfort in a way that's similar to IBS. But beyond that, so much gas can accumulate that it can rupture your chinchilla's gut lining or stomach lining. While this won't happen if you give your chinchilla a tiny sliver of cheese, it does mean you should feed other snacks instead.
How Come Rats Can Eat Cheese But Not Chinchillas?
Rats are scavengers that use people as their primary food source. They therefore continue to eat dairy products throughout their lives, at least in parts of the world where dairy is common. These rats can therefore eat dairy with no problem, just as we can eat dairy if we never fully wean from it.
Chinchillas aren't scavengers. They live in a desolate part of the world called the Andes Mountains, high up where there aren't any people. They feed on wild plants and don't ever eat dairy, apart from drinking milk when they're still kits. If you were to hypothetically feed your chinchilla cheese from a young age, it wouldn't ever fully wean, so would avoid the IBS/lactose intolerance-style problems of diarrhea and gas. But cheese is highly unsuitable anyway, so there's no reason to do this.
How Much Cheese Can Chinchillas Eat?
We would recommend against feeding your chinchilla any cheese, even the smallest amount. While a tiny chunk likely won't cause terrible diarrhea and gas, it's better not to take that risk or to cause discomfort to your pet.
If you want to feed your chinchilla cheese, to do so without making it gain weight, you would have to feed a tiny portion. Something the size of a raisin wouldn't be too bad, although even that would still make your chin gain weight if you fed it regularly.
How Often Can Chinchillas Eat Cheese?
Again, we recommend against ever feeding your chinchilla cheese, so the ideal frequency is 'never'! Chopping and changing your chinchilla's diet is a bad idea even if you're switching between things you know to be suitable, as new foods cause stomach upsets.
If you're going to feed your pet cheese anyway, at least control how often you do so. Once a week should be the absolute maximum. Even this will make your pet gain weight gradually, as your chinchilla will still eat its hay throughout the week and even the day you feed it its snack.
Should Chinchillas Eat Cheese?
The short answer is 'no'.
The longer answer is that cheese can cause bloating and diarrhea as it isn't digested quickly or efficiently in your pet's gut. Any that is digested is far too calorie-dense for your chinchilla to handle, so will make it gain weight. We therefore recommend you only feed known suitable snacks like rose hips, sweet hay, dandelion and so on.

7 Easy Ways to Improve Digestion

7 Easy Ways to Improve Digestion
Table of Contents[Hide][Show]
Do you struggle with digestive issues? Many of us deal with gut problems like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), constipation, leaky gut, or other digestive disorders.
While there are plenty of over-the-counter options to help boost stomach acid or otherwise soothe the discomfort of digestive problems, there are plenty of natural solutions you can try, too. Cultivating a healthy gut with lifestyle and diet changes is way better than popping a handful of Tums every day!
How to Improve Digestion
I’ve noticed a big change in my digestion since transitioning to a healthier lifestyle. The change has been most profound for our son, who struggled with allergies (and who had a complete turnaround thanks to the GAPS diet).
Here are a few of the things that I’ve found most helpful for fighting digestive issues like bloating, heartburn, indigestion, flatulence. Plus, they all aid in overall gut health naturally!
1. Start Drinking Bone Broth
There’s a reason that you crave a warm bowl of chicken soup when you’re feeling sick. One of the best things you can do for your gut health — and overall health — is to start consuming real, nutrient-dense bone broth on a daily basis, even when you’re feeling well.
Broth made from whole simmered animal bones is incredibly nourishing. It’s packed with minerals, gut-soothing gelatin, lipids, and calcium. Bone broth’s natural gelatin content is the key player here, as it helps soothe the digestive tract and improve nutrient absorption. Our children get bone broth from a very early age, as it is also a great natural source of minerals.
It’s really easy to make your own bone broth right at home — the hardest part is planning in advance, since it takes at least eight hours to make.
Here’s a handy recipe that you can easily modify depending on what kinds of herbs and veggies you have on hand (but don’t skip the apple cider vinegar! It helps to extract all those lovely minerals from the bones that we’re after). If you don’t have the time to brew up your own batch, you can buy high-quality bone broth online.
Then, use your homemade or store-bought bone broth to make soups, or simply warm it up and drink it like tea. Remember that quality is important here, and true bone broth is different from most of the salty, watery broths that you’d find on your grocery store shelves.
If you aren’t able to make or buy bone broth, another option (though not quite as good) is to supplement with natural gelatin powder, which will confer some of the same health benefits.
2. Change Your Bathroom Posture
Turns out the simple act of sitting on the toilet could be causing more problems than we realize. New research (alongside age-old evidence) confirms that squatting to use the bathroom is more efficient and more natural, and can help limit the time we spend on the can. A squatting position enables our bodies to empty our bowels fully, which helps us avoid digestive disturbances and even hemorrhoids.
I’m not suggesting that you actually need to go squat out in a field in order to aid in good digestion. We simply need to adopt a more natural position on the toilet that mimics a squat, instead of the sitting position that has become standard.
You could instead try perching up on the toilet seat in a squat, though I personally don’t recommend trying this if you are pregnant, have balance issues, or simply aren’t already a very strong squatter.
At our house, we have a Squatty Potty in each bathroom as a simple way to improve bathroom posture. It’s simply a stool that elevates your legs while you sit, so you’re closer to a natural pooping position. Plus, our Squatty Potty is a great random conversation starter with visitors!
If you’d rather DIY the whole Squatty Potty thing, you could also use a couple of small upside-down buckets or a regular stool to get similar results.
3. Get Enough Magnesium
I’ve been a magnesium evangelist ever since it helped me manage my morning sickness while pregnant. It turns out that magnesium is also great for better digestion. I’ve gotten many emails from readers who were low on magnesium and who noticed digestive benefits when they focused on getting more magnesium in their diets.
Magnesium is essential for your overall health. It is the second most abundant mineral in the human body after potassium, and it is necessary for over 600 enzymatic reactions that benefit the brain, heart, skeletal system, and muscles.
As far as digestion is concerned, all you have to do is think about how magnesium works for your sleep to understand how it works. You know how a nighttime supplement of magnesium after dinner helps you get to rest quicker? Magnesium works similarly within your digestive tract, relaxing the intestinal wall to keep everything moving along smoothly.
So, how can you start getting more magnesium in your system? There are a couple of easy fixes:
Season your food with healthy salt. Sea salt and pink Himalayan salt have ample amounts of magnesium, so be sure to use those instead of the iodized stuff.
Take a bath. A warm bath with a handful of Epsom salt will let your skin absorb the magnesium directly. Bonus: You’ll sleep better that night, too!
Supplement. If you still need a little extra, try using a magnesium skin oil or a time-release oral magnesium supplement to boost your levels. Many people notice an immediate digestive difference, but take it easy at first — loose stools may occur. Just start with a low dose and work your way up slowly.
4. Up the Probiotics
The human gut is teeming with bacteria, and this is vitally essential because we rely on a mix of bad and good bacteria in our microbiome to keep us healthy. Plus, much of our immune system and nervous system is located here in the gut — including both the large and small intestine. So, we need to be mindful of the balance of beneficial versus harmful bacteria in our system, because if it gets tipped in the wrong direction, a lot of digestive disturbances can follow.
The best way to give your beneficial gut bacteria a boost is to consume fermented foods or drinks regularly, like sauerkraut, kombucha, water kefir, or kimchi. These real food options are good sources of probiotics and enzymes and can help aid in nutrient absorption. Most of these foods you can make easily at home, and then you know exactly how long the ingredients have fermented — no preservatives necessary.
We don’t take many supplements regularly, but a high-quality probiotic is something that everyone in our family takes daily. This easy lifestyle shift has made a big difference in digestive health for all of us.
Overall, I think that a combination of a good probiotic along with eating plenty of fermented foods and drinks can make a big difference in easing digestion and easing problems like belly bloat. Plus, it may even aid in weight loss.
5. Get Regular Exercise
It’s important to get moving every single day, as daily exercise can benefit your cardiovascular health, as well as your digestion.
The mixture of movement and gravity helps food travel through the digestive system, and directs blood flow to the digestive organs. You don’t have to run or do Zumba every day to get this benefit, either — frequent low-level activity like walking is an excellent aid to digestion.
The sedentary modern lifestyle of sitting all day puts a kink in the digestive process and makes normal digestion more difficult. For a quick and easy fix, walk a few miles at a comfortable pace each day. Bonus points if you do it as a family or with your significant other and get some quality time, too!
6. Eat More (Healthy) Fat!
When we’re feeling stopped up, the most common advice we hear is to avoid protein and dairy products in favor of more fiber. While this might work for some, research shows that an excess of fiber might actually impair our mineral absorption. With this in mind, it’s important not to overdo it on the fiber.
Instead, consider getting more healthy fats into your diet. Since fat is slippery and helps move things along, those who struggle with constipation can benefit from regularly consuming healthy fats such as coconut oil, grass-fed butter, free-range animal fats (including lard and tallow) and unheated olive oil.
The fats we don’t consume ever? Vegetable oils and margarine (here’s why).
It shouldn’t be too hard to come up with ways to eat all these healthy fats, but in case you’re stuck, try one of my favorite ways to boost healthy fat consumption — a mug of bulletproof coffee!
7. Stand (and Sit) Up Tall
Just as bathroom position affects digestive health, our posture matters as well.
What does posture have to do with digestion? When you’re slouching, your circulation suffers — and we need a healthy amount of blood flow to our digestive organs to help them do their job.
Although sitting up tall is great for keeping your circulatory system working properly, there are other things you can do as well:
Get up from your desk. While walking more and sitting less is ideal, it’s not always possible. If you have a desk job, try to make it a point to get up and stretch every 30 minutes or so. Set up your office to support movement with a variety of sitting, standing, and even walking options.
Don’t lie down right after eating. Your body digests more slowly when you’re lying down, so be sure to stay upright after meals for optimal digestion and better absorption of carbs.
Try belly breathing. Taking deep breaths from your diaphragm can train your body to relax its internal organs, preventing gas from becoming trapped.
It’s easy to forget our posture, but if you can remember to sit (or stand) up straight every time you catch yourself slouching, your organs will have an easier time digesting.
Bottom Line
If you struggle with poor digestion, try any of these tips to help detox your system, aid in elimination, and keep things running smoothly. These seven things have worked great for my family and me, but I’m not a doctor and can’t tell you what your individual body needs the most. Consider meeting with a nutritionist or health care professional to uncover hidden food sensitivities, make a customized diet plan, and get your digestion running in peak condition!

Calisthenics Nutrition Tips and Tricks
If you've seen many advanced calisthenics skills being performed, you've probably noticed one thing the athletes had in common: being ripped. This trend is no mistake, being light and lean is almost required for more advanced skills like the iron cross or planche. For calisthenics, nutrition plays a key factor in ability. Your body weight plays a big factor in calisthenics. It's much more of a factor in calisthenics than in standard weightlifting because you are using your body as the weight, instead of an external load. The less you weigh, the less weight you have to move. If you want to weigh less, the easiest way to go about achieving that is to eat the right way. Making all calisthenics skills easier isn't the only benefit of eating well. By eating well and training hard, you'll build a solid, lean physique over time. Aside from getting shredded, eating healthy food makes you feel better. It really is surprising how much of a change it is in your life when you improve your diet.
Neither Too Much Nor Too Little
Eating too much or too little can cause issues when you're training calisthenics. Having a balanced diet that provides you with ample nutrition, without weighing you down with excess calories is key to continue making progress. Everyone has different caloric requirements and is affected by food differently. You have to find a style of eating that works for you. Overeating causes obvious problems when it comes to calisthenics. The excess weight that eating too many calories will cause weighs you down. Aside from making everything harder, overeating can also cause bloating, stomach discomfort, and lethargy. All of those symptoms can make it much harder to keep up the habit of training. On the other hand, undereating comes with another set of issues. If you don't eat enough, your body won't have the fuel it needs to repair and build new muscle. A lack of nutrition decreases your ability to recover, leading to overtraining and burnout over time.
Whole Foods, Full Stomach
Eating whole, unprocessed food sources is not only extremely nutritious, but it keeps you full for longer. Whole foods are foods that are left in their natural form, like a baked potato instead of tater tots, or chicken breast instead of chicken nuggets. The whole food blanket also includes fruits, vegetables, and beans. Because they aren't processed, whole foods still have all of their natural fibers and nutrients. All this extra fiber helps keep you full for longer, since it takes longer for your body to process. Whole foods also don't have the extra added fats, sugar, salt, and preservatives. Eating more whole foods will not only reduce your calorie intake, but make you healthier too.
Empty Calories, Empty Stomach
Eating foods that have a lot of added sugar or fat, but little nutritional value is not as filling as eating healthy whole foods. The sugar and simple carbs spike your blood sugar, only to leave you crashing and hungry again in a few hours. More nutritious foods with more fiber keep you feeling full for longer, and usually have fewer calories as well.
Sweet and Heavy Drinks
Drink with excess sugar and fat can add an incredible amount of calories to your daily intake. Because the calories are in a liquid form, they're processed quicker and don't leave you feeling full. For example, if you were to drink just four cans of coca-cola each day, that would be an extra 560 calories a day! Cream and sugar-filled coffee drinks are also very high in calories. Each 'iced caramel latte' comes out to about 250 calories, or more depending on what you've added. One of the easier changes you can make would be to replace sugary sodas with diet versions. You could also drink your coffee or tea without creamer or sweetener. And finally, of course, how could I get away with not mentioning number one: water. Ice cold water is always a great option whenever you're feeling thirsty.
The Count (of Calories)
Counting calories might sound like a chore, but it undeniably works. If you consistently track your weight and everything that you eat, you can reflect on how much and what you eat impacts what you weigh. By adjusting your diet over time, based upon how your weight changes, you can incrementally change your lifestyle, instead of a sudden drastic shift. This can also help those who are more sensitive to different foods to identify and eliminate foods that cause them issues. You can also work to manage your pre-workout meal and timing if intense exercise causes stomach discomfort.
Eighty-Twenty Rule
Despite what some people may lead you to believe, you don't have to entirely cut out 'unhealthy' foods. So long as the majority of your diet is healthy, occasionally eating sweet, sugar-laden treats are fine. The keyword here is occasionally. Eating something 'unhealthy' is fine two or three times a week, not two or three times a day. This also still doesn't mean we can binge eat three days a week, remember, it doesn't matter if you ate three hundred calories less five days of the week if you still eat an extra six or seven hundred on two.
Understanding Calisthenics Nutrition
Managing calisthenics nutrition with your daily life isn't an easy task, but the benefits are awesome. Firstly, who doesn't want to look good? Building a strong, muscular body happens in the gym, but getting slim and revealing it happens in the kitchen. Don't let yourself be fooled, getting ripped is only one benefit. Aside from looking good, weighing less will progress your calisthenics abilities. The less weight you need to move, the easier all skills are. This effect only gets stronger when you move into advanced skills, because the leverages make your bodyweight feel exponentially heavier. If all the benefits in terms of looks and training aren't enough, if you eat better you're also going to feel better. I'm sure you've heard the phrase "you are what you eat," and it holds some truth. I think a more accurate version would be "you get out what you put in." If you put in good things, you'll feel good. Put in bad things? You guessed it, you'll feel bad. Eating properly is still a balancing act. Not too much, not too little, not too unhealthy, not too neurotic. The most important thing you should do is to find a way to eat that works for you. Everyone is different. Find foods and meals that only fit your fitness goals, but also fit into your actual life and day-to-day. Anyone can starve themselves for a month or two, but finding a nutrition plan that you like and can last is invaluable. Read the full article

Endeavor to get between 7-9 hours of rest each night, and sure it’s not going always to happen but attempt sweetie. Set a sleep schedule, go to bed in the same time and wake up at the same time, after a while, your body will get it and will take over, you know what I am talking about. Like whenever wake up on a Saturday morning at the same time as your alarm would have gone off at throughout the workweek.

Foods under this category are kale, collards, Swiss chards, spinach, and a few more.
They have many properties that make them perfect for a weight loss diet. They are found to be very low on calories and carbohydrates, and they are loaded with fiber.

Lean Beef and Chicken Breast
People have been generalizing meat and labelling them as a bad thing and can cause you to add on more weight or cause health issues. While it may hold true to some meat products, but this should not be generalized.
Although two big review studies were conducted about red meat, these reviews proved that there is a very weak correlation of red meat as a factor in cancer for me, but nothing at all in women.
One reality with meat is that, it is a weight-loss-friendly food and is high in protein; and it is said that protein is the most filling nutrient in our diet. So, eating a high-protein diet can help you burn up 80-100 more calories daily, so why skip this in your diet?
The best source of red meat are the lean beef and chicken breasts. They do not contain any fats at all and is healthier than any other meat.

Boiled Potatoes
We specifically mentioned it being boiled and no other. There’s a reason why. We know that potatoes contain a diverse range of nutrients and more importantly, potassium, which most of us don’t get enough of. This nutrient plays an important role in controlling our blood pressure.
Boiling keeps the nutrients in the potatoes in tact, while cooking it in oil takes away the nutrients. Plus, eating boiled potatoes can make you feel full and then you don’t feel the need to munch on other foods. It is filling in the stomach.
