just had this thought of lily as a lit student volunteering at her local library and barty as this delinquent being assigned to do community service there. like she starts off with a bit of a ‘oh this poor criminal, i must save him��� mindset and then is constantly frustrated by barty as it’s clear that he just. doesn’t want to be saved. and he’ll deliberately mess up the book organisation systems and try to scam people by fining them when their books are nowhere near overdue so he can keep the money for himself. and lily is running around after him, huffing as she loudly puts the books back in their proper places, whacking him round the back of the head when she catches him trying to scam some old man. she’s screaming at him in the back room, leaning over him as he sits back unbothered on one of the chairs, shoving her finger in his face but he just grins and tries to bite it so she’s whacking him again and storming out bc he’s just SO infuriating. but then somehow he’s also going in depth with her about the motivations of iago in othello and whether the tragedy can be blamed entirely on him or if society itself plays a part in the plot’s development or animatedly discussing keats’ ode to a nightingale and the concept of negative capability and how it relates to the body. and she’s just completely fascinated by him, she wants to analyse him like one of the texts from her classes, she thinks she could write essay upon essay about his view of the world and the way his brain works and the tattoo she can always see just poking out of the top of his collar. and now she’s missing deadlines bc she wants to spend time w him, and laughing as he knocks over an entire bookshelf while trying to tell her about the book he’s just read, and really he doesn’t want to be saved but maybe he’s saving her instead…

mother died giving birth, so it's always just been her and makrov. she's born under a completely different name to separate her from her from makarov and his dealings, because despite it all he loves his little girl and wants her to be safe :(

he indulged in too many of her whims as a child and encouraged her to follow her ice skating dreams but she's actually really good and she got super popular

poor girl doesn't know anything, she prolly just thinks her dad is super rich cause of some big investments or Russian trade deals or something :(( has no idea her beloved father is actually out being a terrorist when he's away on his "business trips"

ghost slides in undercover and woos her, using her to get closer to her dad. except she actually really likes him. keeps asking to meet his friends and family and all that, and he finds himself falling for her even though it was just supposed to be part of the mission.....

Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks of Destiel when I listen to "Strawberry Blonde" by the amazing and wonderful Mitski? Like there are so many lines that correlate to them. And I would love to make an animation of them with that song if I wasn't so shit at drawing but still like envision it with me. Like I can picture it from Cas' POV. For example,

"I love everybody because I love you"

is a line that speaks for itself

They can be driving in the Impala while Dean has his hand out,

Can be about Lisa, like it reminds me of her but it would be like in that episode where Dean is panicking about Crowley having Lisa and Ben but it'd cut to Cas watching with that sad little expression on his face

Cas wanting free will like Dean has and so he follows with his plan to get to purgatory, and when Dean finds out and doesn't trust Cas anymore and tells him he thought they were family, Cas is still keeping himself strictly on that road even if it hurts

These lines just remind me of the "Crazy Cas" Era like he would be more honest with himself about how he feels and like also, the bees. Also, for the "call my name part" I think that'd be like the praying because Dean never prays to really anyone one else besides Cas.

Overall, anytime I listen to this song it makes me think of them and it just makes me happy. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.

Julie loves making inspiring speeches that make no sense - yet perk everyone up anyway - before the Neighborhood does anything brave/risky Poppy molts! one big feather at a time! her molted tail feathers Have been used as makeshift blankets in a pinch Howdy is not allowed to set up his stall for tinkering Near Base Camp or Any Buildings. sometimes things blow up <3 Eddie is not allowed to attend stealth missions/attacks. he sounds like an entire kitchen running around

Suddenly got the craziest fucking idea I've thought of yet:

Zane was originally going to be made to help the elemental alliance in the serpentine wars, per the alliance requesting Julien for something so technologically advanced it'll end the war.

and so Julien started working on Zane during the conflict, and with the elemental alliance providing him with the necessary recourses to create Zane. (metal, wires, screws, schematics and blueprints and other small supplies, a suspiciously powerful and most definitely magical power source, etc).

But the war ends, and the serpentine are sealed away.

So now Julien is left with a half finished robot that wouldn't even have a purpose if it were to be alive, but Julien decides he's going to give it a new purpose.

"If it's not going to be a weapon of war, than it's going to be a weapon of peace."

So he stars reprogramming Zane, from "Mostly human machine designed to fight." to "Almost human machine made to protect those who cannot protect themselves".

He starts adding in extra features for Zane, stuff like breathing, blinking, eating, so he comes off as more human.

he codes in what would be the nindroid equivalent of someone developing a new hobby and getting good at it.

Such as cooking, or perhaps making ice sculptures or even learning how to ride a snowboard considering how he lives in a frozen forest (last one was from Quest For the Lost Powers book).

But he also adds in other stuff to help Zane out in his purpose of protecting, such as a battle ram mode to bust down doors, a lamp head mode to help light out dark areas, being able to shoot out cold air from his hands to cool stuff down without the usage of ice powers (last one was from the start of season 3).

And eventually, he gets so attached to this project of his, that he starts viewing it as more than a machine made to prolong the peace, and by the time he actives Zane for the first time ever, he can't feel but view Zane as a son.

Zane was Julien's life work, "Machine" doesn't do the nindroid enough justice, it doesn't feel right, and it isn't right.

So, even his plans of making Zane a weapon of peace change, and now he views Zane as a son, and as his own person.

Look, I don't care if this headcanon/idea breaks Canon, fuck if I care, but the opportunity is too great, it would would give us an answer to a good number of questions.

one of them being: What was Zane's old power source?

the joke usually goes that the person burning the marriage certificate thinks it's like a receipt and now their partner can't get rid of them... of course buggy knows it's much more like a product registration form, and without it shanks can't get any of the support promised in the warranty!

& thank you!! people have been so very kind in their response to my thoughts! i don't have anything new and buggy-specific to say at the moment, i'm afraid—i have fic ideas, but i think we may be at the point where i need more material to read before i can generate meta without someone prompting me—though i did just find some buggy meta that was posted not long after 1082 came out that melted my brain a little. that should be coming out of my queue in a week or so!
