sometimes people miss the point with reigen
#mp100#like. were you paying attention. were you understanding#when they animate 'i didn't know' i'm gonna implode#but look ok. i don't know how to articulate my thoughts here#but sometimes i think people get too caught up in like. aspects? of reigens character? or like even just. assumptions based on stereotypes#for his i guess 'type' of character#he's not like. a caregiver or a savior of some kind.#but he's also not a thief or someone who's stuck in their ways. and people are weird about him and money. he runs a small business he's not#like some capitalist.#basically there are people who either put reigen on too high of a pedestal or put him down as the lowest of the low#reigen is so interesting of a character because he's very flawed but he manages to maintain an incredibly strong set of morals#reigen will lie and barb and use people#and reigen will do his best to help everyone he meets.#he's self-centered and compassionate in a wheeling dicotemy#because reigen is motivated by his own self interest#but if he can help someone#that becomes the most important thing instantly. he cares. a lot#and he sees the world in such a way that even if he's powerless in a situation he'll still do everything he can to help others.#like. the approach he has to clients is something else just because. even if he's lying about the existence of a spirit. he still like.#helps people#it's so bizarre#he would undoubtedly be more successful in his life approach if he acted as self-centered as he is. because he drops everything#to help anyone#even when he's not getting paid even when he's in mortal danger#because. in reigen's moral code it's the right thing to do#it's so interesting to see such a flawed character have such a strong sense of right and wrong. and to hold to this#anyway. he's a good person#he's flawed and he makes a lot of mistakes but he's a good person#when mob said that.#i've done like 4 mental character analyses today abt serizawa dimple mob and ritsu and this so. i'm normal right now

The leftism/anticapitalism leaving people's bodies the zeptosecond you imply that disabled people who aren't "productive" still matter in society and need to be treated like intrinsic equals who have a place in this world:

I was telling my dad about ao3 and he asked "But why would anyone do it if they're not being paid?" And that genuinely makes me so sad. The fact that the majority of people are told things are only worth doing if there is financial gain in it. Oh you're an artist? Artists don't make any money.
Sometimes the point isn't money. Sometimes it's just to create.

every time someone makes a point to say that "Marinette doesn't wear makeup, she isn't like other girls" I want to SIGH because not only does Marinette Actually Wear Makeup in canon, it is exhausting that it is 2023 and people are still doing the "not like other girls" thing

I told a friend to keep an eye on their banks/cards because people are getting caught up in that recent data breach, and their response was,
“This is all capitalism’s fault.”
And I … err … is it??

one of the things in Life is that even the most radical or anti establishment of ventures, particularly anything involving “community” or “mutual aid” still relies on really normie skills to be accomplished if it wants to be effective for real human beings in the long run. Like a queer housing group or any kind of shelter is still a House that needs to be clean and have clean toilets. A radical off the grid farm is still a farm where the biological necessities of crops might very well require you to wake up at 5:00 AM for weeks on end in order to have a crop. A Union meeting still might need childcare from qualified individuals who can take care of a bunch of preschoolers for hours on end. An abortion fund is still a monetary operation with a flow of cash that needs to be taken care of. Any operation needs to have regularly scheduled meetings set up and attended in the long run. A lot of these things aren’t really negotiable based on vibe or ideology so much as things that need to be done here, in the real world, in order to make peoples lives better, and no amount of perfect buzzword ideology will change that.

i live near a tourist site beach basically, and in that beach there’s an urban legend saying that it’s where you can find The Queen of The South, Nyi Roro Kidul. This is one of her depictions in paintings
Tumblr media

Prompt 13
How was Jaskier supposed to know that the lovely woman he spent the night with had a husband? Let alone a husband in a big scary poacher gang? So Jaskier is hauling ass through the forest, only to get his leg caught in a beartrap. He faceplants (very daintily, prettily, and most certainly not with an embarrassing wail, thank you very much) and begins sobbing with the pain. Not to mention his cheap lute breaking into splinters. Great. Just great. What a LOVELY day he's having! A pure white werewolf with bright golden eyes suddenly prowls out of the bushes, growling at him, and Jaskier decides that today really is his worst day. No matter how majestic the beast is, this is cearly the end of Jaskier the bard. He sobs and begs to live, apologizing profusely, and the last thing he sees is the monstrous snout getting closer. Geralt, the werewolf, is stalking for food for his pack, only to come across one of those humans in their own traps. Except... This human isn't one of them. He's wearing brightly colored delicate clothing, and wasn't familiar with where their traps were. It's an innocent human. One that smells very nice, under all the stench of blood and fear. Wolf!Geralt creeps closer, and pries open the trap, intending on releasing the human back into the wild, but it just kind of stares at him in horror before passing out. Hm. Well, it appears it needs more care than he initially thought. So imagine the other witcher's surprise when he doesn't bring food back to the pack, but instead brings a human to patch up. The moon dips out of the sky, they all turn back into their witcher-human forms, and now they're all SCRAMBLING over what they're meant to do!? HOW DO YOU CARE FOR A HUMAN AGAIN??? FUCK- I DON'T KNOW! Geralt stop petting him, he doesn't like that, he's human, not a wolf! What do you mean he likes it? Oh shit- EVERYONE QUICK PET HIM! No wait- He doesn't like it any more- One at a time pet him! And uh- Fuck- What do normal people eat!?
♡!Optional addons!♡ • (ORIGINALLY A TAG) Is Aiden a werecat or also a werewolf? And if he is a werewolf (and/or a werecat I suppose), perhaps he's from a rival pack (against his will) and needs to be rescued by Lambert as a sideplot • Maybe the poachers find poor trapped Jaskier and Geralt has to fight them off first, or perhaps they come back later, intent on killing the White Wolf • Perhaps Geralt turns Jaskier into a werewolf (Either with his consent or without his consent ONLY if he has to do it to save his life, we don't fuck with forced bonds here, people)

i’ll never understand people who want louis to go back to his 1d manufactured image. i fell in love with the louis of now, the one who is as authentic as he can be. he’s not 18 anymore, he’s 32, he’s grown, he’s changed in some ways but still the core of who he is has remained, it’s just that some people refuse to see it
like literally even the appeal of 1D was that they weren't that!!! Let alone now or anything that has happened in the last nearly a decade, it is truly baffling to me that anyone would voluntarily say, I don't like this version of things where we get to connect to our fave as a PERSON and he even acknowledges and talks about how we (the fans) and he (the person) have this special fucking bond of us understanding him and loving the actual person he is and how it's better than any other fan/ artist relationship and allows for vulnerability and how he has heard us saying for years that we would give him anything all we want is for him to be happy and been like I hear you and I appreciate that so much you have given me everything and I love you so much in return, and see him again and again and yet again lurking and listening and finding fun little ways to give us the things we've said we wanted and showing his huge and sincere and beautiful love and affection for us, including the gift of acting casual and human in front of us and letting us see him that way, letting us in, how someone would look at the absolute PRIVILEDGE of getting to be a part of all this of this beautiful relationship... and be like ugh but I just want him to act more professional actually.

Laundry stripping may be popular in certain circles, but it's important to understand the science behind the deep-cleaning practice before you decide to give it a try. Ultimately, stripping some fabrics (like silk and wool) can actually do more damage than good—and utilizing this method too frequently can prematurely age your garments. […] [Cleancult CEO Ryan] Lupberger advises against the practice altogether, especially if you were considering Borax. "It's one of the products people often use to strip laundry, but is also an irritant. It can lead to skin irritation or a rash and respiratory side effects," he says, noting that there are concerns for exposure to humans, as well as pets. […] The shock of laundry stripping is the water—the process results in a dark, seemingly disgusting pool of filth. In reality, this discoloration is largely caused by hot water leeching the dye in your clothes, causing them to run. Stripping can, however, help remove dirt, lingering body oils, detergent residue, and hard water minerals; together these soils do contribute in part to that brown-gray water, says Lupberger. According to Tide scientist Jennifer Ahoni, "Our research and laundry expertise suggests that there are more effective methods to remove build-up on fabrics." Per Tide's findings, continues Ahoni, the stripping process can actually cause issues with many textiles. "The mechanism by which washing soda precipitates out water hardness can actually form new soap scum residues on fabrics," she says. "Additionally, we have learned that low wash pH is an effective method for soap scum removal, and washing soda raises wash pH—which is the opposite direction." Not to mention the fact that washing soda can also deactivate some detergent components, preventing your wash from getting extra clean in the first place.
