a comic i made in about 15 hours for my school’s comic anthology. the theme was “evolution”

L is in columbo, as columbo. misa is in a sabrina carpenter song and rem is in a chappell roan song. to ryuk this is all the three stooges. soichiro is in taken and matsuda is in brooklyn 99 and aizawa is in disco elysium. this is mikami's silence of the lambs and you're living in it. mello will either make this whole situation into twilight or die trying, and near? well. near is in death note.

there is, famously, a huge amount of social pressure on gnc cis people to transition. society just wants more trans people, trans women especially. this is a real and serious problem. there are just too many trans women making egg jokes. we have to protect the poor cis people from being compared to us (which is clearly and self evidently a horrible thing to do clearly)

catharsis (artist statement under the cut, read before reblogging)

i started this drawing to fill a niche. i’ve seen plenty of fanmade (and now canon) material of bill’s statue being vandalized or beat up on, but never so far as to damage it to the point of being unrecognizable. there were some very strong and specific feelings that drove the making of this piece, but ultimately they boiled down to my own personal need to see bill’s statue utterly destroyed by the one person who deserves it the most.

my coloring process was very dynamic- i didn’t have a set idea in mind for how i wanted the colors or lighting to look and most of my artistic decisions were made intuitively. by the end i’d subconsciously decided to set the scene to be very early in the morning, which is more fitting than i originally thought it would be; that and ford’s sweaty clothes and skin convey (i hope) that he’s been out in the woods alone all night, with the privacy to rage, yell, cry, whatever he needs to do to get his pain out as he turns what is left of his abuser into dust.

i don’t often write long statements like this to go with my art, and some of the above commentary i normally might have put in the tags, but in this case i wanted my thoughts and intent to be inseparable from the art itself. also forgive me if my writing sounds a bit disjointed, sometimes i have a hard time putting my thoughts into words

No....I don't appreciate being called an alarmist spreading 'doomerism' for saying its over. The staff who made Dragon Age possible under constant impossible development conditions are irreplaceable. Their individual contributions made DA what it is. I don't know what's so hard to understand about this. Games are made by people. People aren't just disposable. This whole 'they can always rehire / they still have the IP rights' attitude kills me.

Man, it's cool and all if you see a metaphor for marginalisation in the monstrous, and if you want the power fantasy of 'what if you could just eat anybody who threatened you/pissed you off'. Me too.

However, as soon as you start saying 'no, these monsters are a 1:1 on Specific Marginalised Group, and you have to treat them in the fiction like they are directly representative of real human members of the marginalised group', BUT you also, in the fiction, make them hurt/kill/eat humans? And then try to shame me, your audience, for noticing or engaging with the bit where they kill people, because you made them directly representative of a real-world marginalised group? You have lost me, and also, I think, the plot.
