#just had 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out in one session 🎉#just went in no thoughts head empty with the goal to get it over with bc i don’t #want to go back after 2 weeks and do it all over again #blood tw #why are dental clinics so weird and horrifying like #like i came out of my session looking at my surgeon with blood splatter on his face shield 😭 and a bit more all over #getting your tooth extracted is such a weird experience istg #just full of pressure and a bit of loud slicing haha #and a bit of loud cracking noises #also my surgeon made me go ??? and laugh a bit because before we started he said #‘i wish my other patients opened their mouth as much you did’#like ?????? LMAO WHAT #opened their mouth wide*#mind you we haven’t spoken a word since i arrived and sat down on the chair #and them proceeded to gossip to his assistant #like how he had difficulty locating something in his other patients’ gums bc they can’t open their mouths that wide djdjjd #anyway im lowkey dreading the healing process #bc i can’t eat hot food :/ just room temp+cold food #treating myself to ice cream 😌#*ri

I was today years old when I learned that lack of flossing/cleaning between your teeth with those tiny bristle things, will result in your gums bleeding due to food buildup and bacteria (as that stuff can't be removed with just a regular toothbrush)

Watching my dentist hold up her tool, with a bloody glob at the end as she explains dental hygene to me was not on my checklist for the day, but it sure was an experience.

#Moca talks #She even gave me a packet of the bristle wire brushes and two small tooth pastes for sensitive teeth so I can figure out what type I need #A set of those costs nearly 9€ 😭#And she didn't charge me for the cleaning or plaque buildup even though she didn't have to do that #My upper teeth and gums feel like an empty hallway though. It is extremely weird #I can feel each individual tooth when I clench my teeth or bite into food #Don't like it! I'll get used to it because this is healthier but rn me no likey

#between my prescriptions specific body wash specific toothpaste specific moisturiser specific seperate face moisturiser special suncream #specific hand cream #nail polish because having unpainted nails is a sensory issue #like im going to my mums i could borrow stuff if i didnt have the worst skin in the world which can't handle anything #and ive got one of those 4 week pill boxes AND a secondly weekly pill box #have to bring my own TOOTHPASTE because im allergic to an ingredient in most toothpastes #TOOTHPASTE ALLERGY. #alcohol mention #Apparently you can make mead out of honey and I love honey so of course I have to try it #I want to make more food from scratch so I can reduce my plastic consumption #because my ten-year goal is to convert to a completely anticapitalist zero-waste lifestyle #Just for me… I don’t put pressure on anyone to do the same unless they’re well-off and being ridiculous about their consumption #Except for maybe encouraging people to switch to reusable water bottles if they’re in an area where the tap water is potable #(like where I live)#or flaunting my canvas shopping bag that I got for 5 dollars at a hardware store whenever possible #Okay I guess I do push people a little bit #But it’s all reasonable things directed at people I know are physically mentally and financially able to do those things #or I’ll just casually mention microplastics and pollution in conversation as a “fun fact”#But I’m not ridiculous about it with anyone but myself #I hold myself to some weird standards that I don’t hold others to and I’m fine with it #Obviously it’s the corporations’ faults that everything is the way it is and no single person can make a huge difference #But if everyone does one thing to help the planet; then it might buy us some time to change the system #There is also the issue of supply and demand; if more people reduce plastic intake then less plastic will be produced #But again: it’s very hard to be ethical in this society. EVERYTHING enjoyable is packaged in plastic and it sucks #(ok not literally everything but consider: most candy is wrapped in plastic and clothes have plastic tags and chips are in plastic #sushi is in plastic containers and meat is in shrink wrap or styrofoam and most modern chewing gum is a byproduct of vinyl #toys are packaged in plastic etc. etc.)

#why did i chip a filling i’ve had for two years. at least it’s only Chipped i guess. not fully gone #but what the fuck bro. why #i was eating the softest food in the world too. literally chicken korma and rice with a naan. SOFT #maybe the naan was chewy and the sauce was sticky and it created a lethal combination idk #i have to call the dentist tomorrow and for what #i love spending money i don’t have on dental work 🫠 y’know i really.. i really love seeing that money come in every week #and thinking ‘you know what i’m going to spend that on? having teeth’#if anyone younger than me is reading this brush your teeth right now. then floss them. please #i’m not going to tell you to use mouthwash because i don’t use mouthwash because it’s a horrible sensory experience for me #on like 3 different levels. but like. whatever you do just don’t end up like me #i’m just so Annoyed because it’s literally a tiny bit of tooth that’s come off but because it’s like.. the edge of the molar right where it #touches the next tooth; it feels Really uncomfortable. and i know i’m going to get in and they’ll be like ‘but did you floss it?’#NO i didn’t floss it. for fuck’s sake. why do you think i’m back here after two years #i hope they can fix it fast this time. last time what happened was i went in and they were like ‘okay wow.. so your tooth has chipped #and the part that came off has basically embedded itself in your gum’ so they had to basically dig it out (sans anaesthetic #because i refused it because it doesn’t work on me anyway) and then my gum was bleeding so much they were like ‘we can’t fill this’#they gave me a temporary filling. fell off within 4 weeks. gave me another one (no charge for that one) it again fell off in four weeks #at which point it was late 2021 when there was no official lockdown but medical professionals were refusing to see anybody whatsoever #you were hearing about people removing their own teeth at home. it was wild. anyway i finally got a proper filling 4 months later #and then today i ate rice and it fell off. probably because i don’t floss. possibly because it just wasn’t a good filling #most of it is definitely still on there but i’m now prodding it with my tongue like ‘are you going to bail on me too?’#i feel like i need to look in there and make sure it’s not in my gum. i don’t want a repeat of last time #fix me the same day i go in to get it looked at or so help me #personal

opal was so well behaved (mostly because they had blankets scented with this drug that calms down cats we put it over her and she just became so eepy. it worked so well that a giant samoyed barking non-stop no breaks out of pure excitement for 5 minutes straight while bolting around in the same room as us didnt perturb her)

i pet her as she got her vaccination and she didnt even open her eyes when the needle was in. she let the. blanket cover her (she HATED being covered normally) because it made her feel so chilled. she only hissed when she got scooped. and the one time she did get agitated, when the vet was listening to her heartbeat, i started running my finger up her nose (have done so since she was a kitten 13/14 years ago) and the vet said her heart rate dropped immediately 🥺

#shes very healthy for a cat her age!#the only problems are; 1. shes lost muscle definition on her rught back leg. meaning she isnt putting weight on it #so it might be painful. we suspect arthritis. we are planning to out her on painkillers for a bit and then see the muscle development #2 weeks later #2. we have no idea how but she is missing teeth on her left side of her face. it was a quick look as she hates ppl looking in her mouth #but 2 teeth look broken off and theres inflamation so we will have to take a closer look in a dental #if the teeth are gone then she will be fine. will just get cream to soothe her gums #but if theyre broken we will need to put her under to take them out because the infection spreading to her jawbone would kill her #we're lucky we caught it so early #the only thing is we have no idea how this could have happened. it wasnt food or a cat fight. it would take a blunt force.#mum and my brother suspect she had a fall/messed up a jump and landed face first. shes done that before.#either way i look forward to alleviating as much pain as possible from her #also the prelim of the blood tests look great! no kidney disease!!!! i had suspected it cos she lost weight #but i think thats because the newish neighbiurs now know shes not a stray #and arent feeding her. shes a little nightmare #i love her tho shes baby #thought she would hold a grudge like she usually does but i found her by my heater an hour ago #and when she saw me she chirruped and showed me her belly so i know shes feeling good

that was me!!!!!!!! i got this nasty sinus infection that took like 2 or 3 rounds of antibiotics and a trip to an ENT to have my ear canal cleaned out bc i let a dude w/ a bare minimum 8 incher skullfuck me by a dumpster at a rest stop

#turns out I've had undiagnosed tmj for like at least 3yrs but possibly more #and all my chronic ear pain is referred pain from the jaw joint #so im banned frm chewing gum & eating hard foods per doctors orders #but I'll be cold and dead in the ground before you tell me i can't suck dick #riv gets asks!#abt
