side rant on the kindred of rot but they're genuinely some of the most annoying enemies in elden ring because you have things like normal knight, sorcerer with weird hat, t-rex dog on steroids, and whatever the fuck an astel (I'm so terrified someone send help they scare me so bad it's not funny) is but then there are these fucking shrimp ass motherfuckers with mommy issues who have homing missile technology in ye olde elden ring days and they do a frankly EMBARRASSING amount of damage.

and that's not even counting the emotional and mental damage caused by accidentally encountering them in the sellia tunnel (I think) after opening that trapped chest at the beginning of the game in nice nice sunny happy limgrave only to be met with a literal nuclear wasteland 5 seconds later.

all im saying is yk i don't blame malenia for abandoning them the second they were created because these abominations regularly made me go through the 5 stages of grief every time I encountered them.

honestly i don't think sqq (jiu) would have minded the accusations of preferential treatment from yqy if they'd felt true. like as children he guarded the title of being yue qi's Favorite with teeth and claws. why shouldn't he be given preferential treatment? everyone ought to know just who qi-ge likes and trusts over everyone else. and for good fucking reason--who else here is watching out for qi-ge? as peak lords he's literally 2nd in command and chief tactician, if yqy values his word over yours, then its both what makes most sense and also what he deserves.

the thing is that to sqq, being accused of being favoured by yqy over others now just feels like a sick joke, because obviously (to him) that's not the fucking case. if he actually gave him preferential treatment you'd think he'd listen to what he has to fucking say, instead of believing what anyone else tells him about sqq. you'd think, if he was yqy's favorite, he wouldn't have left him to rot.

so i think, in a setting where they reconcile after becoming peak lords, that sqq would very much slap yqy's love for him in everyones faces as a kind of power move. a kind of, "oh, you thought that was favouritism? you havent seen yet what it looks like when qi-ge lets himself favour someone."

Can’t stop thinking of the concept of Martha and Thomas Wayne getting resurrected pre-Jason Reveal, and he has all this shit planned, he hasn’t done any of his Dramatic Ideas™��� yet, but Jason “theater kid” Todd hears that his grandparents have come back from the dead, and goes “oh fuck, this would be SO fucking funny” and just. Martha and Thomas, though, IMMEDIATELY know something is up. But they Know in a sort of “I’ve been dead before” way so when they question him they do it out of earshot of everyone else, with an excuse about wanting to get to know their grandson. Jason, knowing he won’t be able to fool them (he’s honestly shocked he’s gotten this far with Alfred), fucking folds immediately. Thing is, you cannot tell me those two had no mob connections. Idc what cannon does or does not say. I stand by the firm belief that organized crime is the funniest possible way for the Waynes to get their fortune, and that’s how a lot of my headcannons start.

ANYWAY, Thomas and Martha are, as a result, amusingly supportive of his crime lord career. To them, this is just a family member with a hobby that reflects their younger years.

So you have

• Bruce Wayne, the Batman, fighting crime

• Jason Todd, his son, Red Hood the prolific crime lord

And

• Thomas and Martha Wayne, Bruce’s parents, who went full mafia family and are very supportive of both careers

And then there’s Alfred, who is pretty sure Martha and Thomas aren’t the only undead members of his family “borrowing” firearms, but in all honesty he feels better about Jason having a gun on him considering what happened to him
