Here's How the X-Men Could Be Part of the MCU

If you're catching up on comics, the X-Men recently are experiencing one of the worst events in their history as mutants in comic book event Fall of X. Long story short, the "mutants being hated" status quo is in play and pulling the entire Marvel Comics Universe into it. With recent success of Fox's most successful leading mutants in the MCU, the audience is now asking the question... What will this mean for Mutants? In this theory article, I'll explore possible directions that the MCU may take with its cast of incalculable mutants.

X-Men Vs X-Men

What I noticed in X-Men media is that it's basically mutants against mutants. I mean, unless you singularly focus on one goal like the Krakoan Era, there's a chance that a mutant will either defect to another team, fight over leadership, or straight up leave because their feelings were hurt. Seriously, the Umbrella Academy can stay more cohesive than the X-men and those guys are a dysfunctional family. Even with legit reasons for leaving or defecting, it just gets tiresome by the fact they'll probably come back with no hard feelings.

My idea for this issue is that the people will only see the X-Men as the problem rather than mutants themselves. Think of a larger scale Civil War scenario with neutral mutants, like civilians, in the conflict getting hurt because of the X-Men's actions. This can also add themes of security or freedom, profiling, and the abuse of power by the government.

Speaking of themes, let us move on to the overall idea that mutants are always associated with. The exact reasons that were explored in a show with a recent mutant in the MCU.

X-Men and Proud

What might be addressed in the MCU is the prejudice and bigotry of mutants compared to people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, and so on. I know that mutants are allegories for minorities, but that's the point. They're allegories. The one thing that I want discussed is whether the hatred is earned by mutants. Because think about it, mutants are called Homo Superiors and considered the next step in human evolution. Those ideas can seriously give you an ego and be generally disliked because of it. They also manifest crazy dangerous superpowers as teenagers, like if Hulk and Thor were emotionally unhinged boys who trashed a city over a taco. That's a more definite reason for people's hatred: constant destruction with no accountability or responsibility. But now we're getting the idea of mutants as a whole being treated as minorities and I feel that wouldn't exactly fit as well if the MCU introduced clearer examples of prejudice and culture.

Another example is the confusion of prejudice for mutants being the same as other kinds like racism and xenophobia. For example, basically Emma Frost, a blonde white mutant, is less likely to experience the same struggles as a black woman or an immigrant from another country. A discussion between her and Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, really exploring what it means to be an outsider and struggling to be accepted would combine both real-world and mutant issues.

But with the Mutant Saga coming, are we going to follow a new cast of X-Men or reintroduce old ones from the past?

The Old and the New

One advantage of the Multiverse is reintroducing old actors from previous Fox X-Men properties into the MCU. You could have The Gifted's Emma Dumont aka Polaris or Legion's Dan Stevens aka Legion. If you bring back characters as cameos, why not use them as much as possible to really build the MCU Multiverse. This would also give some closure to cancelled shows or movie franchises and maybe those characters to the MCU.

False Hope or Idea Generation?

Now, whether these ideas get any light in the upcoming Mutant Saga or just get shoved randomly into projects for no rhyme or reason, I have no clue. I guess it's good to have that kind of expectation with recent X-Men projects like X-Men 97, but I'm not holding my breath.

6. Favorite/Least favorite NPC

Antoine and Evka are probably Sarovanya's favorite people. Friends and fellow Grey Wardens who've always accepted him even with all his flaws. He looks at what they have with admiration. Definitely gets some couples goals from them.

Saro's least favorite person is easily the First Warden. He feels he was 100% correct in his decision to disobey orders for a better strategy that saved an entire town and will not apologize for it. He wanted so bad to punch this man in the face, but stayed his hand because he was taught better.

18. Is Rook more diplomatic, humorous or harsh? A mix of all three?

Sarovanya is definitely a mix. It really depends on the person he's dealing with and the situation. Diplomacy is usually his first choice, though he can also be pretty straight forward at times. He's got a bit of a problem with authority sometimes and that leads to mockery or heavy-handedness on occasion. He also likes being the center of attention and he'll use humor if it will get him there.

27. Is there a song you associate with your Rook / their romance with a companion?

Took some time to think about this one because while I usually have music in mind for characters and ships, I hadn't yet for for these two.

I've associated Don't Let Him Go by REO Speedwagon with Sarovanya and his OTP, and it sort of still applies. He's still the same person but he doesn't butt heads with Harding the way he does with Tarwen in his OU. In fact some of the things that exasperated Tarwen are things that made Harding fall for him. But, he still gets a shut up from her now and again.

Love Will Keep You Up All Night by Backstreet Boys inspired a whole scene in his OU, but definitely still applies here in a different way. While there he's had trouble even telling Tarwen he's in love with her and getting her to reciprocate in the 100+ years they've known each other (that's a lot of potential sleepless nights), here he literally can't touch Harding once they've established their intentions on account of the activated lyrium in her veins. As if Warden nightmares aren't enough, he also spends many sleepless nights just thinking about Harding and what it would be like to finally get to be with her, kiss, hold hands, etc. He even spends nights just sitting with her so he can be there if she has a nightmare.

I've also been associating Gotta Be Somebody by Nickelback with them (why's it always Nickelback and Dragon Age?). I wouldn't say Saro went into this looking for/expecting to find love but for sure the attraction was there since he met her. That attraction only grew as he got to know her better and became quite strong as they began living together at the lighthouse. As always, he's very bad at showing/telling people how he feels about them, but Harding notices. He's been fulfilling what she needs in a relationship with his encouragement and willingness to always be there, even before they talk about it.

3. Favorite/Least favorite banter

I'll be honest, I haven't clocked anything as good as DAO/Awakenings/DAI banter in this game yet. I kind of like this one between Neve and Davrin.

14. Favorite/Least favorite faction

He's a veil jumper so he definitely has an affinity towards them. It fits him well with his tendency towards research and learning, particularly about the history of his people since so much had been lost to the ages. Other than them, it is the Shadow Dragons. He admires their fight to end slavery in Tevinter and enact real change.

His least favorite is the Lord's of Fortune. He doesn't trust the claim that they're not selling culturally important artifacts to earn their fortunes. He's a veil jumper and has spent his life uncovering secrets lost to history and working with dangerous artifacts. The idea that there are people out there looting these sorts of places and artifacts for profit does not sit well with him.

19. Who did you romance? Would you romance more than one?

This is definitely a work in progress right now, so we'll see how it pans out in the end (what I think and what he ends up doing are sometimes different things). But, I definitely see him being drawn to Lucanis. The danger and uncertainty of a "mage killer"/ man possessed, who also has a softer side is right up his alley. However his choice to fight the dragon in Minrathous cut this option short and will lead to some self loathing/angst until he comes to terms with it. (Boy hates making decisions for just these kinds of reasons, but this is the decisions with consequences game series so...) This is likely going to see him pursuing Neve or Bellara.

Bellara would be so cute with him. The two of them could encourage one another on their research and it would allow both of them to continue doing what they love together.

But I see him being drawn in more by Neve's personality. He also has a great admiration of the Shadow Dragons cause so I see him working more closely with them in the future and bringing the two closer.

Honestly he's one to kind of experiment, so he's likely to kiss more than one of them before he commits, but once he does, there will be no one else.

I’ll take whatever details you can give me but I do have one specific question: would Yanqing be with Lumine (and maybe Childe) like some crime-committing Batman and Robin, or would he still be with Jing Yuan? I can’t see Lumine abandoning her kid but Jing Yuan without Yanqing just wouldn’t be the same lol

Unfortunately for you, anon, in most versions of this au, she does, in fact, abandon him </3 There is a reason for it, but I'll leave that for another time. Just know that this au is largely canon-compliant.

To keep everything concise and easy to swallow, I'll compile all the lore for the primary (my favorite) version into a bullet point list.

(Putting a cut here in-post because I yapped. So much. I'm sorry, anon)

Lumine and Childe are heavily based on Bonnie and Clyde, and they follow the same general idea and dynamic.

For Childe, his crimes involve mainly petty things, with a good amount of theft, battery, grand theft auto, etc, while Lumine is best known for one thing: the murder of a high-ranking political figure many decades ago.

It should be noted that the two of them aren't hsr versions/expies of their canon selves, they're the same people (technically) and have the same backstories (with some tweaks on Childe's part)

I'll focus on Childe mainly. The main divergence in his story is the fact that once he entered the Abyss at 14, he never left. He remained under Skirk's tutelage for some time, but soon began traveling on his own in search of a blonde girl he's been seeing in his dreams (memories) since childhood.

Two things about the Abyss: 1, I'm following the theories/implications that the Abyss and the sea of quantum are the same and therefore connect to different worlds. 2, and a personal headcanon(?), is that the Abyss saps away at ones sanity, and by association, their memories.

Having spent the better part of a decade in the Abyss, Childe is slightly more unhinged than canon, and despite entering the Abyss to one day return with Lumine, over time, he's all but forgotten most of the life he had before, including his and his family's names. In fact, most of his memories are completely muddied, only clearly remembering his search for one very important person.

It's by seeing Lumine's wanted posters all over the place that eventually leads him to her. Along the way, he becomes a wanted man in his own right for said theft, battery and grand theft auto.

While Lumine denies knowing Childe, she entertains his antics and accepts his (many) requests to join her on her journey, despite not being privy to all of her motivations. His main goal in this partnership is to act as her, well, partner in crime, and hope that maybe one day she'll remember him.

Aside from Lumine, Childe's main goal is to find stronger opponents across the cosmos to challenge himself, and it's through following (and "protecting") her that he can meet different worthy opponents.

It's estimated that they've been in this partnership for 2-3 years prior to hsr's prologue (Childe is roughly 25). So far, no one has been able to catch them or fully understand their motivations.

Bonus: the idea of Yanqing being a sort of "robin" to chilumi's batman (technically its more joker and harley quinn, but still) is an idea I've rotated in my head a bit. I feel that, for the most part, none of the party members would actually know that they're family. Childe and Yanqing would play off each other brilliantly, though. I just know it. Even without knowing he's a dad, he fits into his role with ease.

So... Me again. Did I just put a post out saying that I probably won't update any time soon? Yes. Am I now putting out a chunky post about a Pokémon au I've been making as stress relief? Yes. Am I scared of being judged or people thinking the au sounds dumb? Very much so. Well here's my au! Please enjoy, I beg you.

Distortian au

This au is centred around my personal favourite pokemon characters and a villain team me and my friends made up one night. The evil team is refered to as team lotus and their main goal is to open a reliable pathway into the distortian realm to comune with Giritina. I don't want to give too many spoilers about why they're doing this, in case I do end up writing a longer story, but it isn't for inherently evil reasons, like self gain or the destruction of humanity. The Y/N character in this AU would be the younger sibling of the leader of Team Lotus. Y/N is unaware of their siblings association with the team and works with the other trainers at trying to take down the team.

Speaking of which, the other strong pokemon trainers, like the champions, gym leaders and other powerful trainers (Like Emmet and Ingo), would join in the fights trying to take down the team as they recruit technology and members of other evil teams from other regions. The team is hiding itself under a man made resort island that is currently hosting a world wide battle competition to determine the the strongest trainer in the world.

How would this change the actual characters?

Well the personalities of the characters wouoldn't change in any extreme way, however I would be applying personal headcannons onto them for what happened after the events of their game/games or just how I believe they would actually act. Just as an example of what I mean by this, I like the idea that certain evil team leaders would have tried to redeem themselves after being defeated. Obviously some of them would have remained set in their ways, characters like Ghetsis not being willing to change his views and Giovanni wanting to change for the sake of Silver but struggling due to old habits. The other evil team leaders I can see redeeming themselves are like Archie and Maxie as they were just very... dumb with their actions and I'm a big believer in a Cyrus redemption arc where Cynthia forces him to therapy out of pity and he reshapes team galactic to monitor the distortian realm with their technology after damaging the veil between the distortian realm and the normal world. I can't help myself, I tend to like the bad guys more than the good guys in pokemon games, or at least the older ones, the newer ones just don't have the same spark and appeal as the old ones in my opinon, excpet for Guzma... I love Guzma.

More about Y/N:

Although I refer to them here with they/them pronouns, if I were to actually write them I'd prob use fem pronouns because it's what I find easier to write for, especially for shipping reasons. As much as I would love for it to be completely self insert with the pokemon team being up to the reader, I will have to make hard decisons if I ever have Y/N in a pokemon fight or just relaxing with their pokemon. For any posts about this au, feel free to put suggestions for pokemon for Y/N to have, the more I see it, the more likely I am to consider it as an option.

Now time for me to dump all my art regarding this au onto yall, or at least the stuff on my iPad. Most of the drawings are just the slight redesigns I use for the au stuff I have written so far. Most are slight changes, but some get complete outfit changes like Cyrus to fit his new role in the au.

I don't have much to say honestly because this is not a surprise to me. I've always said he's not as naive and such a goody goody, void of ambition like people have believed all this time. I've said that he has carefully crafted the persona everyone sees. That time I said that in relation to his "Jungkook is afraid of girls", but it applies to this as well. I also think of all the times that I've talked about him being the most eager member to go solo, which is something that a lot of people noticed. That he wasn't particularly moved by the hiatus, that he actually seemed elated by it. I've said plenty of times too that this focus on their careers and personal goals was probably one of the reasons taekook got so close in late 2021 onwards, that they probably were in similar length waves and had similar interests. If atp y'all don't see the similarities in motives and means between Taehyung and Jungkook...

I also think now of how, if Taehyung or Yoongi said that, jikookers and JK stans would be calling them greedy, social climbers, self-absorbed, egotistical, arrogant. Basically the same thing they've been calling Taehyung for associating himself with Jungkook the past two years, even when it's crystal clear Jungkook never had a problem with that. These same people think it's impossible that he and Jimin might've had a fall out and distanced themselves from each other.

I don't think it's bad to have high goals or ambitions, but actually saying that out loud is so ridiculous to me. It's the same type of cringe as Yoongi predicting his own chart position on IU's show (and then failing to even enter the chart). I also saw a screenshot of the MV filming sketch where he said "there's no other MV like this in Korea", which connects well to everything else going on. Even the perceived marketing as a "masculine boyfriend type" is so fitting because what giant male popstar isn't surrounded by women, right?

There's nothing wrong in wanting to do something different, but it says a lot about someone when they're doing things that they deem a novelty just for the attention and not because they actually have a purpose. In all honesty, people are entitled to feel ick when reading those words. It comes across as even more cringe when you compare it to actual giant popstars and none of them rose to fame from one day to the other (like Jungkook probably believes can do), and none of them has ever said they want to be the biggest celebrity.

It's even more absurd when he says he has that goal, but has absolutely no thoughts or plans on how he's going to work towards it; even implying that he's not even working for it -just took someone else's song that he liked.

Jungkook's answer also made me think also about BTS coming back eventually. Would he be okay with sharing the spotlight again after he's had it all for himself?

Some of the changes even affect Kickstarter stuff and the concept art, which comes off as revisionism and is a punch in the face to anyone who backed up the game years ago.

The "desexualization" still applies to characters that are legal like Cerebella.

They could also easily retcon Fillia's age to 18 but even then, it's just a number randomly slapped to a made up character and people thought Shantae was 16, while Yoko Littner from Gurren Lagann is like 14.

If people even thought SG had "evil content that had to be removed", why even support it in the first place? Same thing with P3P having the Ken social link: Why even support Atlus after the fact?

Maybe these people will always attach to Skullgirls and Persona because of the "waifu" appeal, meaning they only easily boycott Hogwartz Legacy because they think Harry Potter sucks and has no "cute 2D girls", not because of JK Rowling.

Otherwise, if Hogwartz Legacy had a 2D art style or even looked like whatever mobile game came prior, it wouldn't be just /v/ that'd talk about Merula Snyde.

Goes to show when someone calls anything "CP" they don't take it seriously and might as well associate it with "mildly annoying/thing i don't like".

The Black Egrets only had the Nazi-like looks to show off their moral ambiguity in the setting, it's not like Alex Ahad was secretly promoting some Neo-Nazi messages (He even stated that they're not as bad as actual Nazis) but i guess these people LabZero wants to pander to never read JoJo or even European comics where Nazis are there for the sake of moral ambiguity based roles.

(Because Nazis will always be seen as assholes in history and most of this modern sentiment people have towards them is from 2017 culture war shit and associating them with the alt right: Don't be surprised if a Breadtuber dismisses the Holocaust because he thinks "Jews hate Nazis the WRONG way" in some video).

But i guess the cameo of a furry who jacks off to guro is fine, who even shat on Mike Z when he was getting cancelled (Probably karma for Mike Z in the first place but also means that a snake would be more fitting for this e-sports player's fursona).

Seeing Zone-tan defending this is funny for obvious reasons, from the fact that people will still shit on him for being a porn artist involved in the game to the fact that Zoomers made the Ankha animation into their own version of 2 Girls 1 Cup.

Another porn artist i saw defending this was a guy that does Persona NTR shit, which is no loss. There's plenty of better artists to associate with Mitsuru anyway.

People say "it's only censorship if the government does it" as if they would say the same if it applied to a game they cared about more and affected specific things they'd like. It's honestly a statement on pair with "it's only prejucide if THIS specific group does it" where the meaning of a word is revised by making it as if only a group can do the act.

"It's their game, they can do whatever they want" the actual creators (Alex Ahad included) aren't present anymore, so this whole "they own it" part lines up with the notion that IP's matter more than artist: Part of what Martin Scorcece talked about with MCU movies.

It's pretty clear that Skullgirls (And a lot of media people attach because it's always a topic of discussion online) was made for and by "perverts".

Even the people that claim to be ok with these changes probably got into it for the same factor ("Sex sells" etc) and now, most reviews are turning negative on Steam and most positive ones are from years ago.

Maybe the problem with Skullgirls is that it's technically an indiegame but it didn't have that much of a "indie spirit". What i mean is the "goal" of it landing on EVO, since the competitive fighting game scene became corporate and i occasionally draw a line between that and when they started to tone down the panty shots from years ago. Because people already assume that other companies get rid of fanservice and sexy stuff for the sake of approval (Meanwhile, SNK is owned by Saudi Arabia and Mai Shiranui is still safe). It's a similar sentiment people have towards that Boxtown cartoon for being indie yet having the same animation style as most modern cartoons or that one Dinomites "when you encourage an artist" comic involving someone's dream of a Pixar mascot character and a Katy Perry music video. "Indie" isn't just a status in terms of economics or publishing, i like to think it reflects on the actual creativity and risks.

And this is also because Skullgirls has its fair share of references and influences to other stuff, which might've come from media by artists who had to say "no, i want to make this". Take a look at various artists, writers, game devs, movie directors, composers etc that you like: Chances are they had moments where they had to stand up for their works. Some even have their own varied political beliefs and still managed to upset both sides.

Even if they're notorious in certain industries and praised by some nerd media sites, they still have content that you know people would lose their shit over if it came today.

Anyway, if i were to make a fighting game, it'd just use it as an excuse to "mechanically expand" my characters and say "look, they have attacks and abilities" and not give a fuck about a competitive scene. And i don't really hide the fact that i'm a pervert, so if my current game's art improves, i'll still retain a certain easter egg. Maybe i'm too wary over things like "Troll's Remorse" but i know it's possible for someone to still make stuff and retain somethings in a creative field.

Not like anybody cares who i am and i still consider myself at a very early phase.

There's still some lessons to learn from this event.

With the task of describing Mukuro in front of her, she first thought to describe his personality, which was the loudest part about him- she thought. He was very charismatic, and had some kind of a devilish 'danger' aura to him. With the others, Haru could feel safe and secure and yet around him, she couldn't help but feel on edge. Hard to really put it into words, but trust and Mukuro could only fit in a sentence together if the sentence was: I can trust Mukuro-san to make fun of me and or try to ruin my day.

She wouldn't say he's an enemy by any means, but he's definitely someone that she started to associate with 'i'm about to be made fun of QmQ' and she didn't quite appreciate that. She puts up with it for Chrome, she'd assure you. Looks... well? You know? The easiest way to pick him out from the crowd is his hairstyle, right? The pineapple? Jokes aside, he had a dangerous attractiveness to him. Also, his eyes are very unique, so that sets him apart from others. Very tall. Usually has some kind of a devilish smirk on his face. She can understand why Hibari-san hates him so much. She's heard that if they're in the same room together, it's on sight. Haru secretly wants to watch it with a box of popcorn.

Yamamoto

How to describe Yamamoto Takeshi... there were many words she could say but to sum it into a few: he's dog energy. He's friendly and easy to get along with. You could introduce yourself to him and he'd consider you a friend within minutes. That's how friendly he is. He's very athletic and loyal to his interests and his friends. That is what's admirable about him. His drive, his never ending energy to work towards his goals, and his willingness to listen to others and understand them. He accepts people for who and what they are. IS THAT NOT DOG ENERGY? Haru would die on this hill.

He's a good friend, Haru would describe him as, someone who is willing to accompany you if you're feeling lonely, and would support you if you asked for it. If she had to describe his looks... SUPER tall. He may be the tallest person she knows in their age group? His smiles have this boyish charm to it that is comforting and infectious? It makes you want to smile along with him. If you looked at him, you'd see: that's what 'friend-shaped' would look like if it was a human. That's how she'd describe him.

Ok, so I haven't decided on the end goal of shit and that would be spoilers to post here anyways if I did, but I have decided on stuff like what certain characters are and their roles and abilities based off of both their appearance in this color page and their cannon abilities.

Sakura: I'm putting her in a berserker class due to a variety of reasons, being that A: Her armor looks kinda norse and she wields and Axe (very berserker fitting), and B: She's an all out no hands bared fighter in cannon who just fucking pummels everything in her path, so it's once again fitting.

I also think it's fitting that she doesn't have any idea how she's ended up on this quest she wanted to help the cute elven ranger, just that she has and now she's dedicated to it.

She also has medical expertise like in canon, but in different ways and for different reasons. She's used to going on solo quests and shit and thus is used to having to lick her own wounds, and so when her party gets injured she already has a really good idea of what's wrong and how to fix it.

Sasuke: I think ranger fits him well due to the presence of both a bow and sword alongside the fact that any abilities he has similar to his in canon would be very useful to having a deadly accuracy with that bow.

He ended up getting involved because of Naruto's dumbass, having gotten dragged into Kakashi whole spiel about how he'd have no choice but to turn into a dragon and eat him (Naruto) as punishment for trying to steal from a wizard, but how he would overlook it if he and Sasuke helped him with this one little job he had to do elsewhere.

Sasuke doesn't know why he agreed. He also doesn't know why he continued to agree once he'd been in the part long enough to realize that Kakashi was an experienced bluffer and wouldn't hurt a fly unless there truly wan no other alternative.

This doesn't stop him from constantly telling Naruto that he owed him in exchange for favors, tho.

Naruto: I made him a rogue (I know I said thief before, but that's a subclass of rogues and thus it's the same thing in this context), due to not only his personality and ability to talk his way out of shit in canon, as rogues often do, but something about his getup in the art screams rogue to me. IDK, maybe it's the little skull pin holding his cloak in place, haha.

I also guarantee that he fights with daggers just as much as his sword (that he pulls out from god knows where.)

Anyhoo, I'm not exactly sure if I'm going to stick with this, but I was thinking maybe a prince who doesn't know he's a prince due to him being whisked away after his parent's deaths as a baby or whatever and growing up having to be sneaky and steal because no one trusts the strange child who came from nowhere who's eerily drawn to dragons and other creatures of mystic.

He'll retain wind related abilities, because that goes with rogues well and I like the idea of mixing bits of magic with phsyical attacks and to make quick getaways.

Him being in the party is also the result of him trying, and failing, at following the strange blue wizard and trying to steal one of the many trinkets hanging off his hat and clothes, convinced they're worth something.

So I thought long and hard about him and after much debate I decided to make him a jack of all trades type wizard who can do a bit of everything, but his true specialty is animal and nature magic (inspired by his association with dogs in canon and me wanting to take that even further, how dragons/animal like his staff looks, how birds are landing on him like they just don't care and feel safe enough to do so, and the literal grass growing off his clothes)

When I say animal magic I don't just mean talking to them like a disney princess, btw. I'm talking full on shapeshifting into them, and doing so with an almost instinctual ease. Also, his preferred forms are a wolf and other canines, but he also often changes into things like a fox or rabbit to run quickly undetected and horrifying things like a fucking Thunder Bird. (Obito, also a wizard, but delves more into black mage territory never really forgave him for the first time that happened, convinced that he had finally met his end only to find out that it was Kakashi and that he was there to save him).

His role in the journey is basically just to make sure these dumb kids he's found himself "involuntarily" saddled with survive 'til the end even tho it's technically his quest. He also doesn't really mind them having joined, because he figures that their presence will make it take less effort on his part. Instead, they drive him up the fucking wall.

Hi! So they are often referred to as the "red man" and "white woman", the "red stone" and "white stone" as well. Essentially, they're the two main substances that are joined in a chemical wedding, which I've talked about here. Essentially, the two principles are as follows:

Red: sun, fire and air, sulfur, active, gold, hot and dry, heart or soul, male.

White: moon, water and earth, mercury, passive, silver, cool and damp, mind or spirit, female.

Red King/Solar King and White Queen/Lunar Queen are two figures that appear in alchemical art throughout history as personfications of these principles. Like here, the Solar King and Lunar Queen in Splendor Solis:

Hello! I got a similar question from @fish-themed-shitposter on my other ask, and I figure addressing you both would be the best so I don't miss anything. They're questions was: "It's my dream job, but I've heard the field is pretty competitive. Any advice before I go into highschool? What secondary education should I be aiming for?"

If you're passionate about learning and willing to make the commitment to work hard, that's the first thing you need. I'm not sure which countries you both are from, so I can only speak from my experiences in the USA. And, unfortunately, there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to doing this. If you have a particular subject you're into, ie: sharks, use that as a jumping point and source of willpower to persevere. Honestly, allowing that interest to expand is my advice. For example:

My original dream was to go out and study sharks, but that is *so hard* to do. Everyone wants to focus on the big, charismatic megafauna. Oh you like sharks, and dolphins, and seals, and turtles? Get in line. XD Slowly, I expanded my interests into all fish and marine invertebrates, which eventually lead me into fisheries. Through fisheries work, yeah, I don't get to see and tag and study exclusively sharks - unfortunately, my biggest project right now focuses on the Striped Bass. But! There is always potential to see and deal with sharks, and that is definitely good enough for me. Try to generalize your dream so you have more options and paths that you would be comfortable and happy to do. Be flexible. Maybe instead of cephalopods, you're into their coral reef habitats? Maybe you're passionate about conserving them in associated fisheries? I'd recommend doing some reading in Google Scholar when you have time. Type in your passion animal, and look at what's being done for them in the field. Maybe you'll see something that sparks your interest even more.

If you're going into high school, and you're very sure about your goals to join the marine bio field, then maybe one day during this summer when you've got nothing going on, start searching on Google for colleges/universities that have great biology majors and marine science classes. Go nuts. Look at the University of Hawaii - who gives a damn? Just get a feeling for it. Make a dream list of the ones you would love to apply to, and look at what courses they require you take to complete the degree you'd pick. Then, make sure you take similar classes in high school. For instance!

Any sort of biology coursework is going to include Math, Chemistry, Physics, and Statistics - all things I hated - but they absolutely have been relevant in my career. As were "intro to bio" courses that covered the meat and potatoes of bio - cell bio, ecology, and physiology. Take those introductions in high school so that, when you get into college, you're not starting on the first floor. Use high school like pre-college. College is insanely expensive and I hope they eliminate student debt for you guys, but in the meantime, you don't want to have to pay for the same class twice. Those foundational classes that will feel like a slog and make you question your career decisions, will take up at least the first two years of your undergraduate career, alongside the "classes that make you a well-rounded person hopefully", like history, english, and foreign language courses that may be required (and you can absolutely just take them at your local community college for cheap - check out how transferring credits works). Again, look at what the school wants you to do to get that degree. See if any of those classes overlap with another major or minor (I did this with my Environmental Studies minor - it's worth doing if the only difference is like, one class that might be fun, but irrelevant. I took a class about Primate Conservation, but it ended up giving me a lot of conservation perspective anyway, so they're worth it). And yeah, look for courses that are just plain fun and up your alley - you'll never know how that fits into your life. I took a class about King Arthur, and I LOVED it. The professor was a riot! Maybe it made me a better writer? Being a good writer helped me land my current job, because grant writing is important. Who tf knows?

Then look at the courses that are actually relevant to you - the marine bio, the fish ecology, the invertebrate zoology, whatever - they offer and what they entail and how that fits into your goals. If you're into cephalopods, you probably want to go somewhere that offers courses that focus on invertebrates in whatever capacity. Also keep in mind that you should also pick a type of bio you are into, as well. I was always into ecology (how ecosystems work is fascinating!) and that leads into conservation, which, put together with fish, equals a job in Fisheries Management and research on commercially important species, fishing gear, and the industry. Go down the rabbit hole and see what you come up with.

Look at the faculty of the bio and/or marine bio departments. Each one is not going to just be a teacher, they are also the head Principle Investigator (PI) - the head scientist, if you will - of their own lab, usually. See what they're researching right now. Look at what they have researched already - chances are, they have a passion animal or topic that they have zeroed in on, and if that matches yours, you should bang on their door and ask when you can volunteer to help around the lab when you're accepted at their university/college. Perhaps see if there is undergraduate research credits you can take on and get your feet wet doing real science on an "easy" project the PI has for an undergrad. And remember, just because the PI's interests match yours, doesn't mean other PIs won't be better suited for you. Some of them are actually assholes, and you shouldn't stay in a lab run by an asshole because you're desperate. In undergrad, any experience in a lab is a good thing, even if you're the poor bucket-cleaning shmuck. Someone's gotta clean those buckets! It's important! Oh, and read their scientific journal articles and get a feel for exactly what they do - it's flattering for them and shows your commitment when you've done that homework.

Internship opportunities and organizations that focus on your passions are places you want to apply to and get real job experience, whether that's over the summer, or you work it in between classes. Maybe you're into marine mammals? Volunteer with the local marine mammal and sea turtle rescue/rehab place. Maybe you love talking nonstop about the ocean and everything - look into educational jobs at aquariums, zoos, and other non-profits that do education or kids camps outdoors.

You do not absolutely need to have an even higher degree (master's, phD) in order to be in this field. There are plenty of places looking for technicians with a bachelor's to do grunt field work and there's nothing shameful about being the one doing it if you love it. A master's may open doors for you that include a little more research, you may be able to write grants, or be put in charge of the grunts in the field. A PhD may land you work with a university or big lab doing important research. Who knows? You go as far as you can. Life will get in the way. Do not sacrifice happiness in other spaces in your life because this is your dream. If you keep at it, it should come in whatever capacity. I refused to leave New York, so my job search was extremely limited but...I wanted to be with my now-husband. Life happens!

And my best advice of all? Don't give up. One bad grade isn't going to ruin everything. Pick yourself up and keep trying. When I earned my Master's, I had to get a job at Walgreen's to make money while I waited for opportunities to open up. It was degrading af. But you don't give up. You get on the internet everyday and apply to jobs, programs, state tests - throw as much shit at the wall and something is bound to stick (you'll learn that in your stats classes! XD).

Don't give up. But accept when and if your interests change. It could happen. You could wake up late for Physics again and say "ya know what? Fuck it. Time to switch to the Business major" and that's totally valid. Don't stick with something just because young you thought you loved it. This is really hard to do.

Here are my tips for making a completely androgynous reader and how to go about making personalities that don't feel like it's an oc/unnatural/ect

Pronouns:

They/Them pronouns along with You/your pronouns are gender neutral and a safe bet. If you write it first person, I/I'm is also never gender neutral.

It/It's pronouns can also be used however they're a bit tricky. Often times they are used in a rude or dehumizing tone. Sometimes they are used to describe an inhuman reader. "What are... they?" Vs. "What is... it?" Have two different feels.

If you use these pronouns make sure to give a warning about dysphoria or explain that this reader simply uses those pronouns

Description:

Try not to describe a body too much. Readers being describes as dainty and petite or muscular and buff can make some readers feel dysphoric or associate gender with a reader.

This goes the same with skin tone or hair as well.

If you do end up describing these, just be sure to give your readers a heads up. Say that you mentioned your reader having long hair, or is very tall, ect ect.

If you want to describe the reader try some of these alternatives:

Have the reader wear baggy clothes that makes it hard to describe them, or just describe androgynous clothing

Describe their personality or what a character likes about them. You can say "they have a nice smile" or "their eyes twinkle so brightly" when describing their face, as it is very ambiguous for everyone to relate to.

Allow the reader to be the one describing others. Rather than describing the reader, have the reader describe others and not mention themselves

Personality/Goals:

So... you don't want you're reader to be basic or have the y/n syndrome... here's some ways to go about it.

Don't have your reader say lines. Ex: "You agreed to their terms and followed." "You couldn't help but be a bit annoyed."

Set up a small backstory or background to give an idea how this reader may act. After all if you say your reader is from an apocalypse or awful world, people may expect and want to read about the reader being crafty or stoic.

Don't describe their body language or reactions. If they speak lines, leave it up to the reader to decide how they're delivered. Body language and voice may give your character a personality that people weren't expecting.

Describe the thought process of of a reader if they speak lines. Why did they say it? Was it logical? Why did they feel like they had to say it? To stay calm? To stand up for themselves? What lead them to that point?

What are goals that can fit anyone? Where is your reader? Are they in a new world?

For example if a reader is in a new world, a logical goal for anyone woukd be to survive. Yet this simple goal can get super complex. Do they just want to eat? Do they want to thrive? Do they want a comfortable living space?

Broad or basic goals are usually safe bets as the reader can fill in details on what they want.

And finally:

Love your words enough to choose them well.

Have fun. If you want to ramble, ramble, if you want to use your words sparingly go for it.

While the prophecy in E46 is certainly not unequivocal and its wording can lead to many interpretations, I feel the show pointed that it was, ultimately, about Hürrem in the most ways.

Firstly, we have strong hints by the direction of the scene itself. When the fortuneteller says both "But there's a dragon living in the palace" and "The fish in the water will turn into a dragon with time", the camera zooms in on Hürrem. With the first line, it zooms in only on her before the next one comes. With the second line, the direction is still fixed on Hürrem until the fortuneteller mentions death.

Something similar occurs when the "There's death here" quote is uttered and right before the old woman starts fainting. We once again see only Hürrem's expressions prior to what happens next in both cases.

Hürrem's expressions are consistently shown before any reaction of the other people in the room. They're consistently more focused on. Right, this may be a coincidence: it could be just a part of the shock everyone was experiencing in the moment. And if Hürrem's reactions are a bit more focused on, it could be because she is the main protagonist; it would be a given for her reactions to it all to get more attention than the rest, in case they do. Right?

Then why does the fortuneteller seemingly shift her gaze at somebody at the end of her prophecy and the camera zooms right in on Hürrem again? This juxtaposition shot gets quite a bit of emphasis by the direction compared to everything else. It's not some insignificant "blink and you'll miss it" wonder, it's allowed to sink in for a little more before the prophecy is officially over. And I don't think that's accidental.

Secondly, Hürrem had a dream related to a dragon that burns ("overcomes") the enemy(-ies) in the next episode. That could very well be the same dragon the prophecy was referring to. That was the only time a dragon appeared in the series, the only time the prophecy was close to being called back to. And Hürrem's the only character who is somehow associated with a dragon, be it in a dream or anywhere else.

The dragon in the dream has to be connected to the dragon of the prophecy. Well, maybe it couldn't represent Hürrem since it appeared right in front of her and it didn't burn anyone around her in the dream, she herself was consumed by the flames. But again, what was related to the dragon of the prophecy? The end of the enemies. What is (especially S04) Hürrem's fatal flaw that "consumed her" to the point she thought her battle would be over after Mustafa's death and didn't pay so much attention to Selim and Bayezid's growing conflict? Her fixation on her enemies. The dream showcased Hürrem's fears most of all, but I'd argue these fears also play their part in triggering that fatal flaw. {The ambition of "defeating your enemies" is most explicitly attached to Hürrem out of all the characters. This is what her central goal is first and foremost and it seems to be the central goal of the dragon of the prophecy, too. Hürrem set out to overcome her enemies "one by one", just like the dragon eventually would. She's reminding herself of that objective as much as she's reminded of it by others - that's always an ongoing trend in her character arc.}

[In addition, the dream with the dragon delves into one of Hürrem's enormous inner vulnerabilities: the everlasting fear of her enemies getting hold on her permanently in a time where she's alone, with no one beside her. All this fits perfectly within the context of E47 where this precise sense of (understandable) panic and paranoia, the feeling that her own safety could be targeted in a time of a campaign because it's always happened before in some way, didn't only become a main theme of the episode... it became true, all her agitations turned out to be retroactively justified. Hence the symbolism of the dragon could be applied "in reverse" here: the harem riot Valide caused was "all over the castle", Hürrem was attacked with fire in order to be eliminated, but then she became stronger and slowly but surely made moves to strike back, along with fulfilling her own goal. Hürrem lives by a strong survival instinct: only one party goes down, it's either her or her enemies. She is aware of the likeability of her being the one to be taken down, the possibility of her enemies "burning" her, destroying her, the possibility of them "becoming the dragon" is always there, so she's the one who "becomes the dragon" instead. Hürrem turns into a dragon with time both overall and in the context of the post-E47 events in order to win the game, in order not to lose to them.]

Thirdly, Hürrem is infamously related to the fire element. She's the character with the most direct connection to fire. The dragon of the prophecy is a fire creature and it's precisely fire it uses to achieve its goals, which Hürrem also points to in her E63 monologue: she'll "rain as fire" over her enemies. (while this doesn't point exactly to the dragon, there is a connection nonetheless.)

Fourthly, the "fish in the sea" line doesn't have to be taken literally: perhaps it doesn't mean "one isn't an established power at all (until a later point in time)". The dragon is said to still be dormant, not necessarily powerless. The fortuneteller mentioned the dragon living in the palace before she went on with the "different form" and "fish in the sea" part. Hence, the dragon has a different form at the moment, but is still a dragon underneath. It simply hasn't completed its transformation yet. While it has a clear goal, the dragon could still be among the people in the room, still trying to resemble them. By this point, Hürrem indeed is still trying to adapt, both to the harem ways and where she currently is (like navigating the new circumstances that appear from this exact episode-onward: Mustafa becoming more of a threat. Hürrem has to be more careful than ever, she has to try to act like she's fine with what's surrounding her, to be "a fish in the sea" before she comes up with a strategy). She is still fighting off tradition. While the roots of that begin blossoming, she hasn't started to act against her enemies in full force yet. She hasn't reached her full power yet. She has a goal as clear as day from the start (which I feel the prophecy doesn't contradict), but the point where she gets more insistent against her enemies comes later on, "with time". With time she would be capable of defeating them completely.

[Also, "but such winds will blow..." could symbolize the external factors, the outside happenings that cause one's action. The outer motivations apparently aren't a small part of what makes the dragon overcome the enemies. And which character gets the most exploration of the outer motivations that lead her to become the person she would be in the future? Hürrem. Her dream with the dragon also points at something external that is cooking up against her that would only make her closer to reaching her full potential, overcoming all of them.]

Fifthly, while it's silly and absurd to blame Hürrem for all the death that would occur in the future, she still takes an active part of the battle of the throne and is an important contributor to the happenings of the castle. She brings that enormous change that is already there in another form and would propel forward what would come in the future. {And while the death is truly a major tying part to the dragon of the prophecy, I always saw the dragon as a part of the upcoming death, not the full causer of it. Judging by the words of the prophecy, both the dragon and the death reside. However, while death "lives" there, apparently already in its true form, the dragon would fully embrace itself later. That could mean the death is already set in stone before the dragon does much of anything. The many other factors are still there and there's no turning back. The death gets revealed after the dragon and that could separate it from the dragon somewhat. The later actions of the dragon (the "burning of the whole palace") that the fortuneteller describes aren't associated with death as much as they're associated with the overcoming of the enemy that could not only be a factor in causing death, but be provoked by death. ("The dragon will be all over the palace." - a consequence, is preceded by "The blue of the seas will turn into bloody red." - an external factor the dragon can both change and be changed by.)}

Sixthly, "The dragon will be all over the palace" part is maybe not necessarily tied only to the death it could potentially cause; it could signify Hürrem's impact, as well. All aspects of Hürrem's impact in the palace (since the dragon will be "all over" and affect stuff). I can name lots and lots of examples of internal and external impact, but the most egregious one for me is in E134: time literally stopped all around the castle after her death. That's how massive of an impact Hürrem has where's seemingly come to terms with all stages of her life, including the dragon.

《Hürrem was at her last stage in E134: the phoenix. The dragon and the phoenix both have appeared in Hürrem's dreams at different points of her life and have a possible wide connection. To start off, both can stand for impact. The dragon makes an impact for what it's done, while the phoenix makes an impact for its never quite ceasing existence, paralleled with Hürrem already being an enigma around the world in the end of S04: the phoenix is reborn from the ashes, so that alone makes it leave its mark on the world, a mark possibly building on the mark of the dragon. A path could also be marked from the "dragon" (the urge and power to overcome the odds/enemies going along with the fear of the odds/enemies overcoming Hürrem) to the "phoenix" (the direct and already complete rebirth of the self after all earthly struggles are nearing their end). Destruction of life vs renewal of life.》

Yes, the prophecy mostly points to a bad, destructive impact, but that shouldn't be only limited to Hürrem, even though she's the dragon. I think that's rather the consequences of all the fights in the palace, the status-quo of which Hürrem/the dragon undoubtedly shook. And the "every good thing comes to an end" cycle also includes Hürrem, just as Mahidevran said in E61. And what was that end exactly? The ever present death. Including Hürrem's own.

{EDIT: I feel the prophecy of E131 affirms what I said above even more. It professes namely death as the "last judgement" for everyone, with that death both reaching the dragon/Hürrem as well and extending beyond it. And the process would finalize itself only after she herself leaves the world, thus we have both the positive and negative sides of Hürrem's impact presented. She had a part in the events that would come to pass, but she's also the (last) pillar that delays them from playing out in their fullest, most brutal force.}

You zipped your last luggage closed, huffing tiredly as you stood up. You looked around you- your empty room, your plain, pink walls that were once decorated with many posters and pictures, your floor that was once covered by a big fluffy white rug and some clothes and stuffed toys.

You sigh, smiling. You were surely going to miss this place. Your back tingles as you turn around to see your mother leaning on the door frame, looking at you with sad eyes.

"Do you have to go?" Her voice is soft and calming- it always has been. She's the only person who could ever calm you down especially when your father left the two of you to work at the Heroes Association in Japan.

"I want to be able to protect people. Children, women, the elderly... I wanna be someone people can depend on. Someone you can depend on." You place a hand on her arm which she covers with her own, he warm palm along with her soft smile about to send you to tears.

She nods, walking inside your room to help with your baggage. "The movers just finished loading up your other stuff. All we need is your excess baggage." She pushes the luggage towards the door, you mirroring her actions.

She cups both of your cheeks, looking you at you with adoring, glassy eyes. It's your first time being separated from your mother in you sixteen years of existence. The two have always been attached to the hip, you traveled everywhere together, even as the two of you had constant arguments you could never stay mad at each other for too long.

She was the only one you had.

"Stay safe in Japan, okay? If your father gave you a hard time, call me. I'll pick you up no matter what time it is, no matter where you are. I love you." She kisses your forehead and you finally let your tears fall as you wrap your hands around her thing wrists.

"I love you so much mom." You sob, hanging your head as your mother wrapped her arms around you. You hear a voice of a woman through the speakers, telling you your flight was taking off in a few minutes.

You quickly give your mother a kiss on the cheek before letting one of your guards assist you with your bags. You waved good bye to your mom and soon after, your trusted body guard.

You were on your way to Japan, to a new life, a new school, new friends and hopefully to reach your new goal: to prove yourself worthy of becoming a hero without your father's help.

You walk towards the giant gates of UA, taking a deep breath before finally taking a step inside the campus. Your heart thumped on your chest nervously as your palms began to prespire. You kept your eyes forward, not wanting to do anything with the teens around you as your only goal was to pass the entrance exam. You walked inside the building you were lead to, taking a seat at the very back in fear of attracting any unwanted attention.

"What's up UA candidates?! Thanks for tuning into me your school DJ! Just as your application said, today you will be conducting your exams in seven different locations! Your location has been assigned to you in the paper you were given." The loud blond man with long hair swept way to the back of his head announced, making you click your tongue. Not to be a mood buster, but isn't he being a little too loud?

You take the piece of paper he was talking about, eyes lower to read the letter that's written on it. Test Location: Battle Center C.

"Excuse me sir but I have a question." Your eyes fall to a purple-headed boy with glasses whose hand is raised. The blond teacher acknowledges him and he begins talking about how there are four villains in the paper you were given and not only three.

He then begins running his mouth about how a minor mistake such as this would be an embarrassment for a school such as UA. You scoff, muttering something about having a stick up his ass.

After the teacher ended his speech, you along with the other students began piling out of the room and to your designated battle centers. As you enter your specified location, you take out the black leather gloves from your pocket, wearing them. You clenched and unclenched your hands to make sure that it fit you well.

"Hey grandma." An unfamiliar voice catches your attention, unfortunately for you the rude nickname was directed towards you.

"Grandma?" You raise a brow, unsure what he meant by it.

"You white hair reminds me of my grandma's." He snickers, pointing at the white streaks of hair you have beside either sides of your face as a few other students chuckling behind him. He looks plain, very, very boring. "Why don't you give up on this exam, grandma? Your knees may start hurting."

The signal went off and the robots began moving behind you. As you kept a straight face, your hands begin glowing a blinding white light as a black with blue and silver accent claymore appears in your hands. You run to your left, applying your speed quirk as you ran towards the gigantic robots, swinging your sword vertically.

The slash creates the same blinding white light, the robots, the buildings and concrete ground that the light touches all disintegrating into nothing. You speed into the other robots, stealing the targets of other students as you accumulated your points. Once you finish and only a few robots are left, you return to your spot to where the plain-looking boy along with his little friends were still standing at, jaws hanging eyes blown wide.

"You grandma must have been very strong."

"I got in." You say into your phone and you hear your mother squeal in delight from the other end of the line. A smile breaks into your face and you feel your phone vibrate, signaling a new notification. As you pull your phone away to see what it is, your eyes widen in surprise as you read your notification banner.

'Mom' sent you $100.

"Mom what the heck is the money for?" You chuckle. "I'm not there with you but I want you to celebrate getting into UA. So go use the money and spoil yourself."

"Mom you don't have to-"

"Okay, mom mode off. I demand you go and award yourself eith the money I sent you." Your mom's tone switches from soft and caring to cold and demanding, making you chuckle. "That doesn't suit you at all." You laugh, you can practically /hear/ your mom pout at the other line.

"Okay, okay. I'll do as you say. Thank you, mom. I love you."

"I love you more my baby."

The call ends and you change out of your usual sweats and oversized tee. You put on a black spaghetti strap and high-wasted mom jeans. You hoop in a black belt and fold the ankles of your pants to show your white sock inside your checkered vans. You finish the look with medium-sized hoop earrings and a oversized red zip-up jacket which you leave unzipped with one shoulder hanging off.

You step out of your apartment, pocketing your keys and taking a deep breath in. Japan is just so beautiful, the scenery, the buildings, even the weather was perfect. You strut down your apartment building, scrolling through your phone as you searched for cafes nearby. It was a five minute walk of calm and relaxing vibes. You step into the cafe, eyes darting around the adorable cottage-core aesthetic it had going.

"Hey my name is Mio. What can I get for you this lovely afternoon?" The cashier beams brightly, your day becoming better and better with every move you make. "I'll have a strawberry shortcake as well as a strawberr frappe with extra foam, strawberry syrup and strawberries." You beam back at her and she takes your order with a bright smile, tapoing away on the computer's screen.

"Does your life depend on strawberries or something?" A rough and deep voice asks behind you, causing you to turn around. Once you do, your eyes widen at the sight of a young blond with vermilion eyes. He looked around your age.

"I like strawberries. Is it that big of a sin?" You ask, soft smile across your face as you cross your arms together. The guy had such piercing eyes, those red orbs looked like they could trap you in them forever.

"Not what I'm saying, but if you're that much of a strawberry fan, I recommend their strawberry pop tarts." His eyes drop to the display fridge beside you and your eyes follow his, landing on the adorable little tarts with red jam on top of them.

Just as you were about to order them, the cashier speaks up. "Your total is 1,500 yen." She smiles brightly, making you pout. You didn't want to cause more trouble for her seeing as your bill has already been printed by the machine.

You scan their QR code, paying virtually as she hands you your buzzer. "We'll give you a signal whrn your order is ready. You can find a seat and wait there thank you!"

You turn around at the blond who's looking at you expectantly, "I guess I'll have to try your recommendation some other time." You smile at him, walking off to the table catering two chairs. It was seated at the far back of the cafe, away from the many customers the cafe had.

You began scrolling through your social media, liking the posts of your past classmates and chuckling at some memes you saw.

A plate full of the same tarts with red jam is placed on your white table and you didn't have to look to see who it was. "Is this you way of flirting with me, rubies?" You ask, looking up at him with a teasing, smug smile. His face contorts into annoyance, "Hah? Flirting with you?" He scoffs, "Not a chance. And who're you calling rubies?"

"Your eyes remind me of rubies. They're pretty."

The blond's face relaxes and you push the seat across from you, silently telling him to sit down. He does as 'told', huffing as he watches you pick of a tart and bring it over to your lips. You bite on it, eyes widening as the flavor explodes in your mouth. It tastes sweet but not the sickeningly sweet kind, it's soft soft in the inside and lightly crunchy on the outside.

"You look like you just ate food made by gods." He chuckles, "You look dumb."

"But it really does taste so good!" You've never felt this much excitement since you found out you got into UA. And that speaks a lot given that you've only ever felt this kind of feeling with your mom.

"I should have bought the entire stock if I knew you liked it that much." Your heart skipped at his words. What is this feeling? You felt nervous all of a sudden, you can barely contain your smile and somehow, you didn't want to go home yet. This is a very new feeling for you. It's kind of... scary.

"I'm L/n."

Idiot. Stop it.

"L/n Y/n." You extend your hand towards him which he looks at for a few moments before taking. You shake both of your hands with a soft smile, your thoughts going haywire at how soft his palms feel.

"Bakugou. Katsuki Bakugou."

You pull your hand away, finishing the last piece of strawberry pop tart on your plate before your buzzer turns on. You pick it up, standing up. "Thanks for the tarts. See you around, rubies."

"Call me that one more time and I'll blow your face up."

You snicker, smirking. "Whatever you say, rubies."

Build: Esreiella is rather proud of her hourglass figure and wears her clothing to show it off. It's clear, however, that she's not winning any physical strength contests any time soon. She has little in the way of muscular definition, and despite the pride in her posture, she's not bound to impress anyone on physical strength. Instead, she gives off more of the impression of a scholar and socialite. In less flowery words: girl is thicc.

Style: She tends to favor dark colors in her style with only the occasional brightly colored dress or outfit. Most of her clothing is tailored made to fit her figure perfectly and immaculately kept. While she is no stranger to ornate clothes, she tends to focus more on elegance rather than making a gaudy display of her fashion. Lace, silks, and high-heeled shoes are among her favorites.

It's not often she's seen without her make-up as well. In fact, this is a woman that goes to length to take care of her face and skin to maintain a classic look with winged eye liner, bright red lips, and an even pallor. Education: Esreiella had private tutors as a child until she was sent to nurture her magical talents in Dalaran. There she became a skilled mage and learned enchanting before joining the ranks of the Kirin Tor as a battle mage.

Magic: While she originally learned the arts of the Arcane, particularly in the realm of fire, eventually the return of the Burning Legion would change that. She was among of several mages that absconded from Dalaran in order to "fight fire with fire". They formed a small coven and retreated to a secluded area to hone their skills to fight the demons with their own magic. This is a magic she still practices to this day.

A Brief History: Just like with many other characters that have been played for years, this section is impossible to keep brief, but I'll try to give the cliff notes.

Grew up in a noble house, Caldwell (( I got that name from a pier)), among a large family that made its fortune in raising and training horses. Typically, these horses were for military usage, but they were happy to also sell to other people.

She learned how to be a proper lady and mage in her time of growth.

When the Third War had started to ramp up, she set out to war. Unfortunately, she would have no home to go back to and the war, in her opinion, would never truly come to an end.

With her family and home in ruins and Dalaran facing the same fate, a bitterness began inside her. With vengeance vowed, she turned her attention to demons and became a part of a coven to fight them.

Unfortunately, that coven would die off leaving Esreiella and a singular paladin overseer/guardian as the last remaining members. The rest had died from their own corruption or been killed by zealous "witch hunters".

Esreiella was next on the list to be hunted, but she evaded them for quite some time.

Eventually, she joined with a group know as the <Templars of the Rose> to put her skills to use and for protection. She still remains with that organization to this day, and fought in several campaigns with them.

Currently

Right now Esreiella has become bitter with the number of people that have gone off to parts unknown to chase glory while abandoning the issues that remain on Azeroth. She sympathizes with the many that lost their homes and seek sanctuary while trying to fit the pieces of their life back together. Having done so once before, she knows the hardship and believes there should be someone looking out for them.

Rather than facing continued misery in war, she looks to starting charitable efforts and solutions for people. At the same time, she seeks to hold the upper echelon of Stormwind accountable for their inaction. Particularly the abandonment of the people to pursue a wasted goal of peace with the dead that ruined her home and the otherworldly invaders, the orcs.
