Gosh showing firuze's face exactly when sumbul says prenses... They could learn some subtlety for once
#huh so there's *something* that can be taken as buildup to that final twist regardless? interesting!#magnificent century#firuze hatun

Episode 64: Even in Devotion There is No Peace
I gave you a life that no one else has because I believe you deserve it, but if I lose my belief... I won't be part of that life, Hurrem.

I’m talking to the wall when I usually say this but hatice isn’t a modern woman who chose to be a stay at home wife while there were so many opportunities for her to succeed she lives in 16th Century and every aspect of her life is either controlled by her dad and her mom and then later on by her brother. The fact that she has zero control of her life troubles her and causes hopelessness and depression. So when the choice of marrying to the man she loves is presented to her she is happy because this shows that she has a choice for the first time in her fucking life so she holds on to him her choice with her all being because losing him means going to back to the status quo so it’s not really İbrahim but the fact that only İbrahim allows her to be the person she wants to be unlike every single person in her life.

i am both
the sacrificial lamb and the executioner.
the scapegoat and the swordslayer.
the one screaming and the angel of death
- "Sacrifice", Bilal Al-Shams
Happy Belated Birthday @mihrunnisasultans !!
#yes yes YES!!! I too have always thought of Musti and Gev's deaths as *the* turning points in MC S04 and MCK S02#the tone gets darker the stakes rise and everything gets far more ruthless after we lose them both#the severe impact they have on the characters around them namely their losses showing them there's truly no turning back now#they truly are the sacrificial lambs in that sense#lovely edit love the colors the quotes the parallels (the Mahi/Kösem one especially *finished* me I truly hadn't caught on that one!!) 😍😍#a beautiful gift for Joanna all around 💜💜🤍🤍#magnificent century#magnificent century: kösem#sehzade mustafa#gevherhan sultan
