To be honest, when it comes to entering a relationship with Sebastian, I can never see it happening when you meet during the events of the game. Like, obviously he only sees all of expendables as research collectors (and possibly food) and that’s pretty much it. He does not give two shits about us.

If you knew him before he got arrested, or even knew him while he was a prisoner under Urbanshade (specifically another prisoner), then yes I can see it happening. Of course, if you knew him beforehand and became an expendable for whatever reason after, then yes I can also see it. It’s because you knew who he was before he became what he is now, y’know?

Anywayy…

He’s a teasing type of partner. Often making sarcastic comments whenever he sees the opportunity to, pushing some of your buttons just for the fun of it, all that stuff. He can tone it down if you ask though, or if he sees it’s actually bothering you.

Sebastian does like cuddling but he is almost never the one to initiate it. It’s not that he’s uncomfortable (well he kinda is sometimes), he’s also not sure if you’re comfortable with it unless you voice it to him. Will that change anything? Not really, you’ll still need to initiate most of the time.

It’s probably obvious now that I see a relationship with Sebastian will require quite a bit of communication, but there’s nothing wrong with that. As long as you can respect his boundaries whenever he voices it, there won’t be any problems. Be sure to voice yours too, he doesn’t want to overstep any of yours either.

He’s a listener. Ramble about the most random stuff to him and he’d unintentionally take in the information. Sometimes you just going on and on about stuff makes it easier to work on his homework even if what you’re rambling about is related to your own work. If random factoids aren’t exactly what he’s looking for, playing music also helps. You can take turns playing music. He rambles too but not all the time. Usually it’s something relating to his engineering class.

Sebastian can cook up something really good whenever he feels like it. It’s not super fancy but he can recreate some of his mom’s recipes. When it’s not that, it’s just a simple peanut butter and jelly sandwich or something microwaved. It really depends on the mood he’s in. If you cook, try making something he hasn’t had, like a dish from your country. He’s always willing to try.

Quality time type of partner. You don’t really need to be doing anything, he’s happy just being in the same room as you.

You two are watching YouTube videos on his laptop in bed late at night until you both fall asleep. One of you sometimes wakes up to put the laptop away, while other times it was almost kicked off the bed. Thankfully it hasn’t happened yet.

Game date nights. Whether it’s PvP or Co-op, you’re both playing. Local or online, doesn’t matter. As long as it’s multiplayer. Sebastian does strikes me as a rogue-like, souls, shooter type of gamer though. He probably picked up Sims at some point and got way too into making houses rather than actually making Sims. Sometimes he playa horror but it scares the shit out of him most of the time.

He sometimes plays his guitar for you, even asking if you have any requests. If you ask nicely enough, he’d help you learn how to play if you don’t already. If you actually end up getting your own, he’d be so down to play with you.

Meeting with his family is pretty much a must (his mom wants to meet you). His big sister embarrasses him by telling you just how much he “gushes” about you. In reality, he talks about you to them whenever they ask and if you two are going out just so they know and to not call or text him or anything until then. Still, his family likes you and that’s all he wants.

Post-Experimentation

Remember how I said Sebastian isn’t exactly uncomfortable with touch? Yeah, now he is. He has a bubble around him and he does not like it when someone gets too close whether it was intentional or not. His reaction to it can vary from shoving them away to a more violent reaction that may lead to a serious injury or even death.

Upon finding a corpse and being so terribly hungry, he had to try and force himself to eat it. The idea of eating another person made him want to spit it all out, to regurgitate all of it out. Flesh, bones, intestines, lungs, liver, heart… “Keep it in your stomach. You won’t find much food after this.” Eventually, he was able to stomach it. Eventually, it became natural.

If you’ve known him before all of this and he meets up with you while the lockdown is still happening, yeah he has questions cause what the hell. He wants to keep you safe, but if you stay around too long, Urbanshade might get suspicious that they lost an expendable’s signal. It’s already bad enough that they want him dead, and the scrambler can be a dead giveaway if their operatives suddenly can’t contact HQ. Just don’t die while you’re out there, please. It’d also be best if they don’t find out about your much deeper connection with him, so there’s another reason why it’d be difficult to stay in touch with each other in the facility.

He’d try to get in touch with Painter just to let him know about you. Lead the Good People away, shoot down a wall dweller that you haven’t noticed yet, all that stuff. He can’t do much about the bull shark, squiddles, and the anglers but he can try to do something about Pandemonium. Unlike the anglers, it’s not a cloud of smoke and is really just rotting flesh.

Physical touch with him in this case is still complicated. He’s very uncomfortable with it and it may take a while for him to warm up to your touch again. He’s not gonna hit you or anything, god no. If you were anyone else, one he doesn’t know, absolutely. He’ll try to express that. The topic itself is sensitive and he never likes bringing it up.

Assuming Mr. Lopee has taken an interest in you and allows you to keep coming back after every death, Sebastian is more willing to help you. Will he give you a discount though? No, especially not if there are other expendables with you. (he will slip in a battery or two though) It’s also a little less worry for him since death isn’t the end for you, but he wonders just how long it’ll take for Urbanshade to realize one of their prisoners is capable of coming back to life. You’re not supposed to have access to the Ferryman Tokens. The expendable protocol was specifically made so that Urbanshade didn’t have to use so much of them.

If you happen to come across something rare or something he usually sells at a high price, he’d appreciate it if you allowed him to take it off your hands and sell it to one of the other EXR-Ps. More intel from them means a higher chance of escaping (hopefully). You two will likely be stuck here for a while as long as no one else takes the crystal before then.

mabel ran a roblox youtube channel for at least six months (dipper edited all the videos. he told her that she'd have to pay him, but he secretly enjoys it and never asks about payment again. mabel forgot)

this ended though after mabel got banned for getting into fights in the chat (dress to impress..........)

they go to the roller rink together: mabel cause she can actually skate and can do (read:attempt) tricks in her customized skates and dipper so he can play the low quality arcade games. they both get slushies together once dipper's exhausted the games and mabel has gotten scraped up enough.

dipper ran cross country, mabel did theatre

she's not getting leads in shows, but she's by far the most enthusiastic and decides to use her time "lending her talents" to the costume department. the school's entire production of oklahoma had them all wearing sweaters

i feel like she convinced dipper to eventually join crew (either lighting or scenic)

mabel gets superrrrrr into shrinky dinks (she makes earrings, rings, little keychains). dipper puts a few on his backpack. mabel also mails a whole box to ford, stan, wendy, and soos.

dipper joins the hacking team at his school and participates in hackathons (he's decently good! his college counselor tries to get him to major in computer science, but he decided against it and instead wants to major in history and film).

after the summer in gravity falls, both develop some sleeping problems (and some recurring nightmares....). So once they have licenses, they'll go on long night drives.

sometimes they get fast food, other times they go sit in the park, sometimes they just drive around.

they talk about the good parts a lot, the bad is often left unsaid.

sometimes they (usually dipper) will try and broach the subject, but it never has gotten too far. for better or worse.

I do truly believe i'd've been #1 if they took into account the YouTube minutes of live concerts I also accumulated on my tv at home that I play 24/7 just in the background of my (legitly) EVERYday life. And the old interviews & livestreams of his that I fall asleep to each night (I wasn't around at the time that he was big-time online so I never got to see or take part in that time... but come onnnn=sometimes 8 straight hours talking to us all on livestream, playing with instruments & singing & playing video games!!!

He was so involved!!! It's my heaven to be able to still take part in my own way all these years later now that I'm back at life and able to still access them. 🙏🏻 don't know what I'd do without them!

I was born same day as Brendon (other side of the world) but I'm still a little emo baby at heart haha. However having the same birthday & growing up through the same times & things, I've always felt akin to him (also suffer with adhd & all that not to mention other issues), & I dunno but like my life has been HARD ...so when I think of all that the Panic! boys had to deal with at such a tender age with being thrown into the deep end of the public eye with nothing but their d!cks in their hands.... they would have dealt with SO much pressure I just can't even!!!!!

And look, whatever, I am unapologetically PRO-BRENDON, I couldn't care less what any haters have said, do say or will say lol however I do have a counterpoint to anything you want to throw at me about him (but it's unlikely I'll give anyone the time of day unless they really press a hot button issue for me about him) i tend to focus my care toward all the people supporting him in his endeavours which has just been so fun. But anyway - so I always kept an eye on him moreso than the other boys in the media. And I must say, it really has been (well, "was" now) an absolute pleasure to watch him live, learn, grow, change & blossom in ways I don't even know if he ever dreamed or thought was even possible ❤️

And he's helped so many people. Even inadvertently - like me, today. I texted my mum those two images this morning and it got us talking once again finally. She was unusually excited for me and mentioned how much she'd laugh if he knocked on my door to thank & congratulate me for the continued support, and then she told me to keep dreaming because it's a beautiful thing (extremely out of character for her) — but she must remember that he was the poster on my wall that I kissed before I went to bed at night back in the days when getting a huge fold out poster of your fave band was like the highlight of your month.

"After a Long Day" Headcanons

I'm bored, sick, and thinking about a brief conversation that me and @penncilkid had the other night, so here's a list of different redacted bois coming home after a long day.

I'm not gonna do all the redacted bois, but here are the ones that are in this post: Milo, Asher, David, and Guy

Milo is always about physical contact. He usually uses this tactic for when Sweetheart is working too hard, but he loves being able to hold his mate close at any moment. When he's had a hard shift, he wouldn't even say anything to Sweetheart before dragging them to the couch and trapping them there. This always amuses Sweetheart. They would spend this time talking at to Milo, finding any way to kiss any part of him. There would be nothing going on, just Sweetheart's soft voice, their hands and lips against his skin, and the love that he feels for them.

Asher seeks out comfort foods when he gets home from a long day. Baabe would help prepare said food (most of it was junk, or things that he would make with his family, but it didn't matter to Baabe what it was as long as it helped.) After the things were made, they would build a nest in the living room and settle in it to play games for hours on end. They would eat, laugh, and make stupid bets while playing games just for the fun of it.

David is a tough guy, and he usually won't admit when he's tired after a long day. However, when he gets home and is just a little bit more clingy than usual, Angel usually catches on. This is where they would start to do damage control, complaining about how tired they were, and how much their coworkers got on their nerves, and "will you cuddle with me?"s until David 'gives in' because he'd do anything for his Angel. This was the first part of their plan. Angel would then get David to lie down in their lap so they'd be able to play with his hair. David would protest half-heartedly, but he never won the fight. Angel moved on to the third part of the plan, putting on a series of YouTube videos that they watched regularly and turned the volume down so it was just background noise. They would run their fingers through his hair, and David would slowly relax and close his eyes. Sometimes he'd fall asleep like that. Angel never did tease him for when he was like this, but they did take pride in the fact that he could help them relax.

Guy would usually be the opposite of how he normally acts, which is Honey's first clue to how his day went. When he's had a long day, it's usually because he had a lot of deliveries/customers and was just human'd out for the day. Honey would ask him point-blank if he wanted to have their presence or not. If he said no, Honey would give him a kiss before sending him to bed, telling him they were there if they needed him. They would get made fun of for being so soft, but he still listened. If he did want them to stick around, the two of them would end up on the couch tangled together watching one of their shows. Honey would be running their hands along his body in a soothing manner, sometimes running their fingers into his hair, but there would be no talking. There would be no expectation of conversation, or jokes, or anything like that. Guy appreciated it more than anything being able to just exist like that.

What song are you fixated on at the moment? What lyric or verse, and why? A totally basic song, but I’ve resparked my obsession with Taylor Swift’s song “Wildest Dreams”. I love the lyrics “Staring at the sunset, babe / Red lips and rosy cheeks / Say you'll see me again / Even if it's just in your wildest dreams”. The whole song is very, like, yearning and honestly does remind me of a vibrant sunset just before it softens into a pink and yellow glow. And I like the “wildest dreams” lyric because I daydream a lot. Not to mention, I enjoy the music video for it.

Do you love gargantuan Youtube video essays, and if so, which is your favorite and why? I like watching long videos in general. Tell me about your childhood imaginary friend. I didn’t really have one, but I pretended to have an imaginary “boyfriend”. People at my elementary school were obsessed with dating for some reason even though we were, like, 8 and so that’s the main reason why I said it was a bf. (It’s also funny bcuz now I’m listening to imaginary boyfriends).

What is your go-to way to fall asleep? If I’m too awake from an exciting/busy day I’ll watch youtube videos to calm down. I sleep with my childhood stuffed animal. I feel bad if I don’t and hugging it makes me feel better. I also usually sleep with a night light because I hate not being able to see things if I wake up in the middle of the night. 

If you had to change your name, what would it be, and why? (In tandem, if you have changed your name, why did you pick that one?) Well, I like the name “Meri”. But if I actually had to change my name, I’d probably just switch my middle name and first name with each other, since I like them well enough.

What is your favorite of Redacted’s audios, and why? I really like David’s “Watching a Scary Movie With Your Alpha Werewolf” audio. I love his laughs so much (I could  s q u e a l  into a pillow)! It’s also really calming in the sense that it’s relaxing in a fun way (just chilling and watching a movie), so I go back to it a lot.

What Redacted boy holds no appeal to you, and why? Like, not the one you hate but the one who you don’t get the hype for. (I won’t judge, I promise.) Ollie. He’s really sweet and I don’t hate him at all, but I can only watch two of his audios in a row before wanting to change to something else. 

Tell me about that one book/movie/tv show you know all the words to. Oh! I have one for each of these: If it’s a book, then “The Princess and the Fangirl” by Ashley Poston. If it’s a TV show, then “Gravity Falls” (I watch it as a summer solstice tradition). And if it’s a movie, then “Miss Congeniality (2000)” (I love those 90s/2000s romance and comedy movies). 

Which Redacted boy are you platonically attracted to? Like- forget dating, which dude do you want to be your best friend? I totally get the romantic appeal of Sam, but I would like him as a friend because he’s very down-to-earth, caring and I like his vibes. (I'd also include Caelum, I DON'T want to date him at all, but he's a cute little guy that makes me smile a lot).

Do you have a go-to thing you ramble about when you’re tired, and if so, what is it? (For example, my boyfriend knows I’m ready to sleep when I start talking about space.) I don’t think I ramble about anything. I’m pretty quiet when I’m tired. Although, sometimes I do get “slap happy” and find a lot of things hilarious before I eventually get to the exhausted point of ‘no-talking’.

Tell me your go-to gas station and drink combo. KitKats and Coca-Cola (slushie or the actual drink)!!

Tell me about your favorite playlist at the moment. One of my private playlists that’s a mix of 2010s EDM and pop, 90s and 2000s rock, alternative music and country songs.

What’s your guilty pleasure media, and why? Listening to Redacted Audio is the biggest, and also reading/writing fanfiction. It’s embarrassing to talk to any of my IRL friends or family about it even though I’m fully supportive and excited about discussing all of those things, it's just the weird reputation it carries.

And whatever else you think tells me about who you are! I’m introverted. I have two cats! (I didn't realize how many cat lovers were in this fandom). I believe that I’m biromantic and demisexual. Some things I like to do are: write, read, go camping with friends (I love hanging out, playing card games, swimming and eating campfire food), doing karaoke, and playing dress up in costumes/outfits I’ve collected over the years. Sometimes I’ll draw or paint but not as often. I often have dance parties or a good cry to de-stress (which are like two different vibes XD but it works). The video games I like to play are Minecraft, Stardew Valley, and The Sims. I like to take quizzes. I used to take Buzzfeed and Quotev quizzes a lot when I was younger, but now I mostly go on uquiz. (I like pressing buttons).

I also really like paleontology. I can watch ghost hunting videos (as stated before) BUT I cannot do horror movies. I’m assuming it’s because I get too involved with the movie, and ghost hunting does not have as high of stakes. I guess I would describe myself as someone that is pretty quiet until you get to know me. I tend to be very watchful and cautious when I’m out in public with friends or family (which probably comes from my ‘older sibling need’ to make sure that the younger ones don’t get kidnapped or hurt). I count myself as an early bird, since I wake up around 6-7am most days. My style is pretty casual, maybe sometimes dark academia inspired if I’m feeling stylish. And my main love languages are quality time and words of affirmation. (I hope all of that helps!)

Your entry gave me so much trouble in the most delightful way. You paint me a picture of someone so easy to get along with that it was hard for me to pick one redacted suitor over the other. In the end, looking at the charming ways you’d contrast one another, I like Asher for you best.

You’re a cat person; he’s a literal dog person. You’re an introvert; he’s an extrovert. You’re an older sibling, he’s a younger sibling. You’re a morning person; he’s sleeping in till noon if you let him. You’re a cozy gamer; he’s an FPS, COD kind of guy. Yet, you two get along so well. Type Nines are characterized by a desire for peace and quiet, typical of an older sibling, and Asher as the emotionally intelligent beta of the Shaw Pack would be able to provide that. One thing that particularly convinced me was your love languages in that Asher strikes me as one of the most verbally affectionate and forthcoming of the redacted men and would be best suited for your love of words of affirmation.

That’s not to say he doesn’t indulge your need for quality time either; he’s perfect for that. Asher loves your cats, and they love him (once they get used to his shifted form). He orders pizza and wings for your romcom movie nights, most of which he hasn’t seen yet but is super happy to watch them for the first time with you. He’s always down for a good karaoke sess, whether you asked for one or not. He picks up and gets good at Stardew Valley immediately, especially when he finds out y’all can work on the same farm and that he can craft you a wedding ring. (That is, when he’s not trying to get himself an NPC husband. He is down bad for all those men, but he has a soft spot for Shane, can’t tell you why.)

If you love 90’s/00’s rock and alternative, and I’ve given you Asher, could I give you anything other than a Fall Out Boy song? Obviously not, especially this era and track of Fall Out Boy. There’s something about their older songs that capture young, first love in the best, most singable way. Also, the title is a reference to the romance classic movie, Casablanca, and that coincidence really cinched my choice.

Runner-ups:

Huxley would be a gorgeous partner and runner-up for an early bird who loves camping. He’s also one of my favorite picks for someone on the ace spectrum; he just gives that vibe. (I’m also an asexual who loves Huxley, so that may be my bias coming through.) David is also a runner-up, one who almost beat out Asher except for the fact Asher would be more outwardly affectionate off the bat and would like your cats more.

- Her and Sero go out to get supplies for the dorm and her hair , they always end up at a gaming store or a clothing store.

- Kirishima always goes to her when needs to vent (not like that…) but she knows how he gets , she best at comforting too! , their also besties , she always looked up to him but little did she know Kirishima was her 1# admirer.

Part 4 // Migraine

Eyes still closed, you let out a long exhale through your nose. Your eye sockets felt 3 times too small, your neck was 12 times tighter than normal and if you dared to move you honestly might vomit everywhere.

"That's never a good sound, coming from you." Alex mumbled, still half asleep as he rolled over to cuddle you close. "What's going on?"

A tiny "ow" was all you could muster. Body begging for sleep, despite the pulsing pain from your shoulders up.

You felt a kiss pressed to the nape of your neck before the sheets and bed shifted. Your husband padding out of the room. Leaving you let out the shaky breath you had been holding. Stomach turning with the pain as each beat of your heart enunciated the sharp ache inside your skull.

Whimpering softly, you felt a hand softly brush against your cheek. Alex whispering something you didn't quite catch as you took a deep inhale, opening your eye a fraction.

"I need you to push up long enough to take these, then you can lay back down." He whispered, stifling a yawn as he held out medication and water. An encouraging smile pulling at his lips as you obliged. Only sipping enough of the liquid for the pills to go down, still not trusting your stomach.

Another kiss placed against your face and he was gone again, returning minutes later with a cold pack. Reaching over to press the towel wrapped plastic gently against the back of your head. Fingers rubbing your scalp for a second before moving to close the curtains, blocking almost all the light out of the room.

"Come to bed. You're tired." You mumbled, eyes squeezed shut as you focused on the cool sensation seeping into your taut muscles. Guilt gnawing in the back of your mind that he was up and grabbing things for you, despite falling asleep only hours before.

"I'm coming, I'm coming." He lightly teased, sliding in bed behind you again. Sliding an arm around your middle as he shifted to get comfortable. 

"You're worth being tired for." He yawned, the other hand sliding around the pillow to rub at the top of your scalp lightly. The soothing actions causing your eyelids to grow heavier, eventually leading you into sleep.

Consciousness returning, you kept your eyes closed. Sighing softly in relief that the immense pressure in your skull has since morphed into an uncomfortable headache. Pressing your face further into the warmth that was presumably your husband, you smiled. Feeling his fingers mindlessly running over your upper back.

"How long have you been up for?" You yawned, opening your one eye when he didn't respond. Glancing up, you noticed he had his headphones on. Gaze locked on his phone, likely watching YouTube or Netflix.

Poking his belly lightly, you felt the muscles tense as he snorted. Swatting your hand away before pulling his headphones down to lay around his neck. Focusing his attention on your groggy figure.

"How you feeling? Want a shower, bath, food, anything?" Your heart swelled with his words; the fact that his first thought was to keep you as comfortable as possible. 

How did you get so damn lucky?

"Kind of feeling better, not 100% yet." You admitted, letting your forehead drop against his side again. Eye closing again. Listening to the video continue over his headphones; a YouTube excitedly talking about a game that was to be released in the coming months.

"If there's anything I can do, let me know." Alex whispered, hand rubbing across your shoulders as he held you tighter to his side. Other hand pulling the blanket up around your body.

Your hand slid over his waist as you softly asked for him to keep loving you like he does.

"Of course. You're never getting rid of me." He smiled, shifting in the bed to get more comfortable at your side. Pausing the video and pulling his headphones off. Both tossed carelessly to the other side of the bed.

"I love you." The words left your lips with ease, the sentence coming so naturally over your years spent together.

"I know." He answered with a cheeky smile, before reciprocating the sentiment.

a/n: not gonna lie, i was listening to raon and came across this cover and it just gave me this idea so i had to write it out while it was still in my mind. i’m also working on a suguru angst

You were at your apartment, spending time with you boyfriend of 3 years, Gojo Satoru. You were watching a new rom-com movie that just released and Satoru promised that he wouldn’t make puns and jokes at the movie for you.

One thing that kept tugging at your mind was the fact that Satoru had been asking you to move in with him.

It wasn’t that you didn’t want to, you were just nervous because of your secret that you knew he would tease you about.

The credits roll as the movie ends and Satoru looks down at you with a smug smile on his face, indicating he was up to no good. Narrowing your eyes, you met his gaze, waiting for him to break the silence.

“Soooooo…” He began as he reached into his pocket to grab his phone. “I found a little something when browsing the interwebs.” Unlocking his phone, he went to YouTube and it made you nervous as you watched him scroll through until he found what he was looking for.

“I found out something about you that I never knew.” He continued.

He knew you were caught red-handed since your body jolted. You began to slide away on the couch but Satoru was faster by wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you closer to him, his grip on you strong enough so that you couldn’t easily get away.

Music filled the room and shortly you heard your singing.

Satoru looked at you while showing you the screen on his phone that was held horizontally so the video was bigger.

“I never knew my beautiful girlfriend was a YouTube singer.” He teased, his grin as wide as it could be.

He enjoyed this. You had an extra room in your apartment that you kept locked when he was around. Sure he could have teleported there, but he would be an idiot to betray your trust. And he did find the video by accident. As accidental as scrolling through the millions of videos.

Satoru was specifically looking for songs to fall asleep to. He had a hard time falling asleep without you and you were away on a mission that time.

He then suddenly found you, singing a cover to a game that was pretty popular and he felt his heart fill with love. He had never heard you sing before and your voice was so lovely.

Why did you keep this from him?

Was this the reason why you refused to move in with him?

You covered your face with your hands to hide your embarrassment. It wasn’t that you weren’t proud of your videos, it was the fact that you knew the teasing would be relentless.

“Shut it off!” You demanded, your voice muffled behind your hands.

Satoru chuckled and kissed the top of your head as he complied with your demand.

“Why did you hide this from me?” He asked, leaning his forehead against yours.

Lowering your hands so that your eyes were revealed, you stared into Satoru’s cerulean eyes. He had a mixture of blues that made them much more beautiful.

Sighing, you continued to lower your hands until they rested on your lap.

“I don’t know. I’m proud of my videos, but I felt like you would tease me. And I was right.” You confessed.

A huff of laughter came out from Satoru’s lips and he moved his hand from your waist to instead gently place it behind your neck, rubbing his thumb against it.

“I only wanted to tease you for keeping it from me. I wouldn’t tease you for your videos—your voice is beautiful. It actually helps me sleep at night when you’re gone.” Satoru confessed.

You felt heat reflected in your cheeks and ears with his confession. You glanced down, unable to look into his eyes due to his words.

“I do have a question though.”

Glancing back up, you could see the determination in his eyes. Sighing, you respond.

“Go ahead.”

“Is this why you didn’t want to move in with me? Because you didn’t want me to find out?” He asked.

“Yes and no.” You responded. “Yes I didn’t want to move in with you because I was hiding it from you, but it’s not like I didn’t want you to find out, I just wasn’t ready. I wanted to wait until I was ready to tell you.”

Satoru blinked before he laughed. This made your ears and cheeks burn more, causing you to puff out your cheeks.

Wrapping his arms around you, he laid his head on top of yours, closing his eyes and smiling.

“You’re so cute.” He said in a low tone.

“I hate you.” You responded.

Chuckling, Satoru kissed the top of your head.

“I love you too. Now will you finally move in with me?”

Groaning into his chest, you nodded your head, giving in to him.

The two of you sat in that position for a bit before you pulled away. Placing a kiss to your forehead, cheeks, nose, and finally your lips, Satoru’s eyes sparkled.

“I can’t wait to live with you. Have you laying next to me in bed, greeting me when I come home, and even your home cooked meals.”

You smiled at the thought of giving Satoru a kiss goodbye before he left to train his students, a kiss when he comes home, and nights spent cuddling. Even the mundane stuff sounded like heaven so long as he was there with you.

“I can’t wait either.” You confessed.

When your pieces are done you come back a few days later to paint and glaze it (idk how long, I googled and everyone told me smth diff so I chose this)

You both give your pieces to each other to paint

When she gets it back she will cherish it

Never lets anyone use it, it just sits on her nightstand untouched except for when she occasionally cleans it from dust every few days

She introduces you to the owner of the small coffee shop, who she has grown close, who’s delighted to see you

Having already heard Gowon mention you about a million times

Which he makes sure to mention to you in front of Gowon who smacks her shoulder before giving you a tight and embarrassed smile

She orders her regular and the owner brings you out a few deserts and a coffee on the house

Thanking you for making Gowon happy

You two talk about anything and everything

You find out quickly that you two are extremely similar

She of course teases you occasionally when she gets more comfortable

Which makes you blush and smile at the same time, happy she’s being more like herself

Initiates hand holding and what not

Often putting her hand on your thigh when she laughs

Or having an arm around your waist just because she can

It makes her smile big but it also makes her heart race in nervousness

The conversation continues, even after your cups are empty and your stomachs are full

Eventually it gets late and the shop has to close

So you head out and walk around to a park where you talk about random stuff as you sit on the swing sets under the moonlight

Your roommate eventually comes to pick you up, sadly

You reluctantly go, giving Gowon a hug and reaching up to give her a kiss on the cheek which gives her a heart attack

She’s standing there holding her cheek for the next 5 after you leave

Frantically texting her friends as she walks back home with a huge grin on her face

That’s what gets her to loosen up and actually start making jokes that make you laugh

A laugh that she has quickly fallen in love with

Once she notices, however, that you’re getting a bit sad that you have yet to win a single game

She lets you choose one and lets you win it

Pretending to be upset whilst you jump up in happiness

Holding back a smile at the sight of yours

Ordering food for the both of you to eat while watching a tv show.

At the end of the night she decides to walk you to your dorm seeing as you only live the floor above hers

And then looks like she’s having a heat stroke when you give her a kiss on the cheek

Acting like she didn’t like it even though, secretly, she’s wanting more of them from you

Actually kinda sad once your gone

Spends the rest of the night about you

daily notes - dec 15, 2024

Though my hours are still sporatic, I've been sleeping well. Last couple days, I've been shaking as I'm trying to fall asleep and waking up (though less so for the latter). Woke to my "monthly visitor" today, and now this past week makes sense.

After my afternoon nap, it was too early for dinner, so I just sat in the living room with phone games. Very glad to have my mom's bear Gus, so I didn't have to bring more things downstairs with me. (I brought my striped-knit blanket, because it also makes for a good back-rest cushion.) Dinner was (frozen, store-bought) ravioli; nothing fancy.

The rest is mostly mundane day-to-day notes, below the cut.

More knitting upstairs, watching more Silent Hill 2 (remake) game play. I caught Secret Sleepover Society's live-stream of it tonight, which went a little late. I prepared to do more knitting, but I had a sudden impulse to tidy.

Managed to (mostly) put away one hamper of clothing. Technically, it was only half-full, but the accomplishment is that I freed it up and put in new laundry. I also gathered some things for a load of cold-wash: my new Wampus t-shirt, the multi-packs of tank tops (dark/bright colors), and my black hoodie. Will need to add my robe later.

====== My call with phone-friend went well last night, and we touched base again this morning. I'd mentioned wanting to buy a cd of Christmas music for their family, as it's an album that means a lot to me. They said, "Just to double-check, you know I'm not Christian, right?" (paraphrased, of course) I knew, and we discussed our mutual appreciation of the arts, how we enjoy things even if we're not of that faith. [Modern-American Christmas is pretty secular nowadays.]

This album came out in 1982, and I've been listening to it as Christmas music for half of my life. In more recent years, especially as I leaned on music during the times with terrible nightmares, I've listened to it year-round. In fact, I often forget that it's technically a Christmas album. The few songs I recognize as carols are pretty chill, and it's all piano solos - no vocals. In fact, it has the only version of Pachabel's "Cannon in D" that I can stand. Winston's variations distract me very well.

So I sent my friend a link to a youtube playlist of the album's songs. "Thanksgiving" is my fav song on the album. If you were around back in the days of 8tracks, you might remember that "Thanksgiving" and "Carol of the Bells" were the first and last tracks on my mix, "Christmas in Kodiak".

Amid discussions of the video essays I've been watching lately, my friend recommended some other youtube channels to watch. I scrolled through and recognized videos I already watched, which means I know I'll like their other stuff. Also got to mention the neat video I watched about Fred's "ascot" in Scooby Doo.

I felt so energized and alive as we nerded out, talking about these different videos and topics. We also discussed video games, as we need to make a Steam Family group later. (It's the new iteration of sharing across accounts.)

======= I need to work on shopping lists soon. Gotta pick out things for the wishlist, to send to my dad and phone-friend. I'm going to use my friend's wishlist for my gift(s?) to them, though I do want to check a couple other sites for inspiration.

Depending on whether I'm up for a Bangor trip, I might ask my dad to order yarn for me online. (It'd be nice to pick it up in-person, but I might not have the stamina by then.) I usually ask for cds and household things, like my shower seat last year. Might need a new cd album-binder soon. I haven't put them away in the binders in years, and they're just stacking up, haha.

As I noticed back in August-ish, I'm feeling better about accepting gifts from loved-ones. I had a bit of trouble at the beginning of this year, but I def feel better about it now. Yay progress!

Hello! Today marks the release of a new musical project I've been working on for the past month or so: Sleep Buddy! Ambient music to help you focus or just get some sleep.

After dropping out of college, joining a band, moving in with the band, watching the band fall apart, and then subsequently finding myself with an increasing amount of pent-up musically creative energy, I decided I wanted to make something of my own.

I was also about five years deep into a stint of severe insomnia — from my first year of high school onward I generally only slept about an hour or two each night. After my friends would fall asleep and there was nobody left awake to play games with or text or talk to on the phone, I'd spend the quietest hours of my evenings teaching myself how to produce music.

The blend of these two issues manifested itself into a love of producing and listening to ambient music, and I set out with the goal of creating an album that would help me fall asleep each night. It was freeing to break away from the verse-chorus song structure I'd become so acclimated to, allowing myself to let long droning synths reverberate for hours into the night or searching for field recordings of windy plains or rainy farmhouses to see how I could incorporate the sounds of nature into my compositions. I'd write a song, load it onto my iPod, hop into my car, and cruise around empty New Jersey streets to hear how it worked as a soundtrack for the drive. In the span of about three weeks, I'd finished and released my first solo album under the artist name Boqeh: Halcyon.

Halcyon saw the beginning of a new habit: Almost every single day I'd open up my laptop and throw some nice sounding synths and chords together and let them loop endlessly while I worked on other tasks. Usually these project files would get deleted at the end of the day, but every once in a while they'd be saved and fleshed out into a full track for a hypothetical future album release. My next few ambient albums as Boqeh all followed that same songwriting process, but I eventually got more into the habit of deleting files than saving them. Slowly but surely, I stopped releasing music altogether as my career and other creative endeavors took center stage in my life.

Although I grew into the habit of deleting my daily project files, I never kicked the habit of starting a new one almost every morning. In 2018 while discussing the rise of ten-hour relaxation YouTube videos and 24/7 lofi hip-hop beats streams with a friend, I wondered aloud why I wasn't using the huge volume of music I was creating and disposing of daily to do something similar.

It's taken ten years since the release of Halcyon for me to feel confident enough to make it happen, but I'm finally done erasing the work I create.

Enter Sleep Buddy.

Sleep Buddy is both a new project and revitalization of the intention behind Halcyon — albums of carefully crafted and original ambient music with the goal of helping listeners fall asleep or relax while working on other tasks. Today marks the release of the first album: Intro.

Intro is a thesis statement. Available as a ten hour YouTube video (of course), on Bandcamp, or through your favorite streaming service like Apple Music or Spotify, it contains just under two hours of original ambient music covering a wide variety of ideas I plan on drilling further into for future releases. Almost the entirety of the album was written and produced over three weeks in January of this year, and in the time it has taken to distribute Intro to music platforms, I have already finished a followup for release sometime next month. If all goes well, expect a new Sleep Buddy release monthly in 2023.

In the meantime I hope you'll give this first album a listen, and if you do I hope it helps you relax.

#0 Shell: All I can say is that the I see with most Dedf1sh songs is that most of them might not sound like they could fit in a level but they actually do, at least that's how I hear them, this one for example, it's really calm, it has this weird tone to it that honestly I really like, during the levels it makes you feel more concentrated, that's what it did to me actually, the way the sound goes to side to side, really neat stuff

#1 Progress: Not gonna lie, I like this song because of how otherworldly it feels, it also sounds very simplistic if you can call it that, the beat of the song sounds like a really generic beat and honestly I like that in a weird way, it's like, a weird demo of a song of some kind, which is what I like about Dedf1sh, all of her songs are really different and weird and that's what gives it a lot of charm

#2 Ripped: Now, I really like the weird vocals on this one, not only that but the beat it has, if I remember correctly the stations where this plays, it adds up to that weird feeling each station gives off, because if you stop and look in your surroundings you see some interesting stuff floating around, I really like that, especially during 8-ball levels since I find them the most relaxing out of the others

#4 Dunno: I must say that I have no idea what this song is, it sounds really strange, I must say I don't really like it a lot, it has weird tones and other stuff that make it difficult to find something that I can like, but while I may not like it, I'm sure it's good and some other people might like it, it all comes to personal preferences, I must say the first time I heard this I thought something happened to my switch because it sounded really strange, with all the noises just going everywhere

#5 Thirsty: Very few songs actually give me this feeling of just kind of like, bliss, I don't know what this song might have but honestly the way it sounds like the Central metro song and how the beat is, it just kinda makes me sit there and listen to it, while playing I remember really liking this song, and overall I still like it, I listen to it from time to time, I must say it also has this feeling of loneliness to it, which is honestly amazing considering the way the metro is, really adds up to that feeling

#6 Frisk: Eh, while I don't like this song I also don't really dislike it (all that much), it sounds ok, I really like the ending of it with the whole like, otherworldly sounds it starts to use, it uses them in the middle of it as well, so that's what makes it a lil bit better for me, I don't like the weird beat it has to it, Dedf1sh songs are really hit or miss for me

#8 Regret: Really interesting song, I like how calm it is, during the game I must say this song made me almost fall asleep, I must say I stayed up all night playing but like, I feel this song helped that, anyways, I would like to mention how there's this theory that the song names represent the way Ahato (Dedf1sh) felt while being sanitized or something like that, and I would like to clarify that this theory is actually like, not true, during an interview it was revealed that the song names are just like, named after the feeling each song gave, which honestly makes a lot of sense when you look at it, this song for example, does give off a feeling of regret, if you are wondering where I got this information from uhhhhh, pretty sure it was from a Rassicas video, I think it was from the Nintendo magazine they translated

#9 Party: Surprisingly enough this song reminds me of my childhood, I'm not kidding when I say this, it reminded me of a song that for some reason has been engraved in my mind that I listened to when I was younger on some YouTube videos, so honestly I really like it because of that lmao, and I must say it does convey the feeling of a party so overall good song I like it, I really liked the stations where this played

#11 Above: All I can say about this song is that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT, it's my favourite Dedf1sh song, the first time I heard it I immediately fell in love with it, I adore that one station with the ink rails and this song, I forgot which one but it was really cool it made the whole experience 10x better, the weird guitar (idk if it's a guitar) sounds really cool and the way the song be never really changes beat is honestly what made me like this song so much, overall my favourite Dedf1sh song as mentioned

#12 Awake: Really don't have much to say about this song, it's good but definitely not for me, It feels like waking up in the morning and staring at the sun as it raises while it's kinda cold outside, idk why it just reminded me of that, it's very calming I must say, might try to listen to it even more to see if I like it

#13 Shade: Yeah, this song is kinda, not my type as well, I can't really find anything to say about this other than I don't like the vocals, they sound really strange but in a bad way, and the instrumental is kinda eh, makes me feel kinda, like, not knowing how to feel about the song, I can definitely see people liking it tho, but not me; during the game I remember wanting to beat the level this was on fast because I didn't want to listen to it a lot

#14 Crush: More songs should have trumpets honestly, I love this song, possibly my third favourite Dedf1sh song (I won't make a tier list) and I'm guessing it's the same for most people because I've seen a lot of love for this song, and it's well deserved, the trumpet, that feeling of old music it has, everything about it is perfect and I love it, this song as well as #11 Above are songs that I'll definitely listen to again

#16 Salty: Oh, yeah this song sounds like a boss song lol, I like how frantic this song sounds, and honestly I was surprised when this was used in other stations and not the stations with the bosses, but eh, it's ok, I like hearing it a lot on levels because it adds up to that stress some levels give you

#19 Bless: Xylophone....... Why did I start this with that word? Don't question it, anyways, so, this song plays in the stations where you get the thangs, and honestly I was kinda disappointed when I first got to them, I expect something to happen before I could get the thang but, you just kinda grab it and that's about it, this song makes it feel like it's something extremely important (I mean it is but like if something might happen) the dialogue in game also hints that something feels off about the place, and then nothing happens, I don't know I just felt disappointed because of that, but eh, I liked the song it feels like, kinda like a military song, idk

Splattack (Octo): I HAVE TO SAY THIS IS MY SECOND FAVORITE DEDF1SH SONG, it's honestly so cool how she remixed a song from Squid Squad and how it plays while you fight Sanitized Agent 3, makes the battle feel like, 100x better, and I absolutely adore how everything is like, broken up and how it changes in speeds and everything, it makes the song feel more uhhh intense? Idk if you can call it that but yeah, I adore this song with all my heart, I hope they do something similar in Side Order, even if the one that makes the music isn't Dedf1sh, I just want another remix of a song

Escape(?): Ehhhhhhh, I don't really know if this is a Dedf1sh song, but it's the one that plays during the final levels, when you are going up to the surface, well only the first part, then shark bytes starts playing, anyways, all I can say is that it makes the whole section feel more tense with how you have to evade being seen and it also has a nice rhythm to it, so yeah I kinda like it

So that would be it, Dedf1sh is definitely an interesting character not only in the splatbands but also in the lore itself, she has such an amazing story so far, and for what it seems she returned in Splatoon 3 with that Octoplush song (#35 Caught), I must say her songs made Octo Expansion a lot more interesting and enjoyable, which I may add my Girlfriend bought Octo Expansion for me which I really appreciate, I can't thank her enough for that and I love her, but yeah, other than that this is the end of the review, I'm definitely not a music critic but I like typing out how the songs make me feel, it's nice, I like sharing my thoughts around, so anyways, I'll see you next time with uhhh I don't know but it will be another splatband with an Octoling or Octarians, see ya!
