actually what i think would be fun is if ingo and emmet were both some kind of like, sun/light mage but they went in wildly different directions with it. like if light in this fantasy world is the expression of both truth and ideals—which i think is very appropriate, you've got this connotation of "guiding light" and simultaneously "cast light on" as a force to expose secrets—almost like sunlight vs moonlight or something. anyway.

i love when a school of magic is extremely versatile so i think light should be that. light as healing magic is classical, that's one of ingo's strong suits. and then like, compelling the truth, from people or objects. speak with dead? mind reading? cast the light and see what it reveals. i think they're both good at that. and then if ingo's the better healer, on emmet's side you've got lightning and fire, that kind of thing, light as a force that damages. but i think if both of those are their own subdomains, pure light on the offensive is like.

i mean it's pure, both lightning and fire are already such powerful runaway forces, light when it isn't diluted in the slightest- it wants to get out. light wants to shine and burn and immolate, if you tell it to harm instead of heal it wants to destroy. so many light mages are healers not because that's what the element lends itself to necessarily, but rather because light is simply so overwhelming that it's easier to use those healing spells—and even then, most people prefer like, green magic for that, only using light on things that aren't alive, most people reserve light healing for like, resurrection, or something else that requires some juice, because if you're just trying to mend a wound it's so easy to go overboard. it's a mistake most people only take the risk on once.

and then these two are like. just wielding it like it's nbd. pure light magic in both the helpful and harmful aspects is fucking terrifying to anyone who's savvy enough in magic to understand what they're doing. but their control over it is so perfect it's almost surgical. by all rights the kinds of spells emmet casts should completely burn away his opponent and him, but he doesn't even have to do permanent damage if he doesn't want to. what the fuck.

I’ve been pretty good! This weeks been a bit of a time cause I had cold that just completely zapped all my energy, but other then that, I’ve been doin pretty ok. Nothing to stressful or crazy and nothing too like.. exciting to talk about I guess, lol.

Hmmm, I think the most exciting thing that has happened is that I drove home from ‘the big city’ and I even drove in it, so like…. That was a bit crazy! Slowly getting there on the driving thing lmao.

I’m both really excited about starting over my ac island and like. Nervous lmao. I never really got very far in decorating it tho, so I’m looking forward to a completely fresh slate with it!

ough all this good good mir falspar art is faaaantastic - also looking at that image where he's covering his wounded arm with his other hand, is there any risk in doing something like that for long? Like if he (or anyone else) puts their hand over those scratches does it risk shredding them, or is it more just an affect on something attached to that part of his silhouette? loving the growing intrigue into figuring out What's Wrong with Mir Falspar!

The only things that seems to be affected are those that are attached to his silhouette on or close to his left shoulder, so his right hand has remained un-shredded, and isn't at any risk. Other reflections are unaffected as well—the damage appears to be contained only to Mir Falspar. (In fact, the list of those who know there's some kind of crack beneath his clothing causing his armor to deteriorate, and that it's not a fashion statement, is incredibly short to begin with)

Here's the rant about Dwarves with Scottish accents that was promised in this post, my thoughts still aren't as organised as I would like them to be but if I don't get my opinions out there i will keel over and die. So here we go

Up until Peter Jackson’s adaptation of the Lord of the Rings franchise, and then eventually The Hobbit, dwarves didn’t have Scottish accents. I can’t find anywhere that Tolkien said dwarves should have Scottish accents, so why do they have them in the films? The idea is that dwarves are supposed to have a feeling of “Celtic-ness” about them, but then why does it have to be Scottish instead of Irish or Welsh (with the exception of Gimli given his actual Welsh actor), over any of the other Celtic nations? Especially when dwarven languages and writing styles were supposed to be more like Hebrew and Arabic.

The choice to give your high born dwarf character an English RP accent over the Scottish one that you’ve given every other dwarf, and that people now associate with Tolkien dwarves, is doing nothing but painting the picture that the English RP accent is a sign of superiority over the other dwarves (the ones with the Scottish accent). Why does the “better born” dwarf have a different national accent to his subjects??

However, looking at Thorin, THE HIGH BORN DWARF, he has an English RP accent… hmmmmmmm

So does Fili and Kili (the OTHER dwarven Princes), and them along with Thorin are meant to be the "attractive" ones... hmmmmm

This RP accent is also making people think back to the elves, ALL of which sport this RP accent MIGHT I ADD (also who are the fan favourites…)

Obviously, it isn’t the accent that’s at fault, and I don’t really see a problem with giving the elves RP accents (beyond it blurring the complicated lines between the elven races left over from the first age)

But why do the stereotypical rough and tough characters, the heavy drinkers, the angry and abrasive characters have to have Scottish accents? OH! Is it because this is how the world sees Scottish people? Sick man of Europe (second only to Ukraine who’s in the middle of a FUCKING WAR), rude and angry, wrongfully prideful and stubborn headed?? Fuck off

I don’t care that the dwarves are this way, because that would be stupid, but why do you have to use this particular accent to "reinforce" it

And also, the way that they only seem to use one fucking type of accent? I DO NOT sound like that and yet, I’m still Scottish and I’m still offended that you’re using my nationality and my people in this way.

And don’t come at me with all this “but you have to differentiate between the races” bullshit because they obviously don’t care about that given all the ELVES and all the MEN and most of the HOBBITS are fucking about with some form of an English accent, and they don't even limit the different English accents to a specific race or regional area

Only the stubborn, prideful, and rude dwarves get Scottish accents. Them and the “stupid, comic relief” Hobbit.

In the teaser short film: Images of an apple, alphabet cereal (SIREN), crossword puzzle with the word "feed", glass of milk?, the word "dine" made of ice? (I see no "dumpling" here. Where's the dumpling?) Not looking good for Vmin-ers. Again.

Along with upside down "friends", and the newspaper headline that seems to read: "...ationship becomes eternal by e..." and you can't see the entire thing but the next word created by red thread is "desire".

The red thread being pulled undone.... Red thread of fate which supposedly means: The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of place, time, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break. This myth is similar to the Western concept of soulmate or a destined partner.

But the red thread is broken and we end up with just the word "end".

Sooooo.... let's extrapolate (come up with plausible explanations from what we know):

So I can imagine they regularly just get popcorn and jumbo sized movie snacks and watch whatever they want in TAOCC, whether it be romance, drama, fights, casual slice of life, or someone's untimely death. They have theories abt it all too.

Sarah: hmmmmmmm.... she lives in a castle, if I remember correctly. She regularly walks the hallways that way none of them go "unused" for too long.

Bow: I gen have never heard of bow, I am so sorry. But. I give them. A bow tie.🎀
