#honkai star rail #hsr blade #gallagher #i based this off of how many times i used funny soda man to help be a healer with his poppin soda pop in SU #and then blade constantly just being blade as usual #its normally him saying unnecessary to my actual healer but #i kept forgetting gallagher heals and i kept healing when i didnt even need to so TECHNICALLY yeah it was unnecessary #but the amount of times blade was the recipient......#i cant use like most of my newer units in story bc i cant ascend or i run out of leveling mats so i just #get them and toss them into simulated universe for funsies cause i can match their levels better #so thats where i tossed gallagher and he is genuinely fun to play as ? like i love his punches and kicks to start the battle #funny soda man is funny (to me) and im really behind in plot still #but last time i tried to play it on my laptop and got a kickass cutscene my laptop lagged and i couldnt even see it RIP to me #so now that its like ... me trying to play it on desktop ?#i mostly get on desktop for comms and if i do much else i feel like im slacking off even if i would take a break anyway #one day i can play more story plot stuff and actually meet the funny guys #also in case you know me for Not Having Boys in HSR i need to point out #i did pull Gallagher however same 10 pull got a 4 star girl copy for someone i never use and she is at e4 now cool #and i didnt even think of the irony as i started this i just like drawing blade and i wanted to draw gallagher #so when i already had the dialogue planned and am drawing i was like OH WAIT haha im funnier than i thought #(no i am not but we can pretend)

Horror's nightmare

Horror doesn't think much on his past anymore, but his nightmares often resurface the guilt he's buried about the idea that he could have prevented it all somehow, even if it came at the cost of his own life.

Thankfully, Nightmare is here to make him a hot drink to calm his nerves and promise him a visit to his brother when the sun is up, because Papyrus will always be very glad to see his brother alive and visiting (and as sleepy as ever).

elle and emmett from the legally blonde musical are one of those m/f couples that i think work best as a woman and a man purely because their relationship and how elle wouldn't stay at harvard for him because she has grown to want true respect & success more than a man she loves' approval/desire is like so important to the themes of the story and it's the whole point and it's part of what makes them so good. on the other hand emmett could be such a hot butch lesbian it's crazy i want to eat drywall when i think about emmett forrest but a butch lesbian BUT it simply would not improve and in fact would detract from the themes of the story. they have to be m/f

#chirps #tangentially. i think that a trans man casting for emmett would be really great for a lot of reasons #the scene of elle buying him really nice men's formalwear and finding clothes that he likes and feels good in...#'take it like a man' in general would have such another layer of meaning and love to it #anyway. there would be a really interesting dimension to their relationship in terms of elle embracing hyperfemininity & emmett being trans #and how their respective relationships with & presentations of gender impede them in the upper-class Professional world of harvard #man that'd be really cool... that would add soooo much to the show...#Emmett Forrest. omfg . radio play version of much ado with david as benedick from 2001

#this version of benedick is a lottttt more serious and restrained than the 2011 version #definitely due to the medium and bc it matches the energy of this version of beatrice way better #it's not david and catherine's insane comedic chemistry but it's still really good imo..#like it's obviously not as endlessly fucking funny as the 2011 version but it's still really solid #and i'm impressed with how they did the humor in a 100% audio format #and i actually really love this interpretation of benedick as more cynical and leaning into his Hater side #ironically david's benedick here generally comes off as older and more mature than his benedick 10 years later #'the prince's fool... hAhH???' is obviously extremely funny but also 'the prince's fool... [uppity hmph]' is Inspired #and his outraged 'oh!'s and gasps and sighs when he listens to don pedro/claudio/leonato talking abt beatrice being in love with him #also funnily enough i think benedick's whole monologue after this is SO good. if not better than the 2011 version #cuz it's more restrained you have benedick's haterism actively fighting and losing against his satisfaction and giddy laughter #and the bit where benedick challenges claudio is so ohhhghhgouhgghg #the way his voice deepens with 'and her death shall fall heavy on you' just FLOORS me it's fucking perfect #but also equally as fun are the line readings where they have evidently remained the same (or similar)#my dearrrrr ladyyyy disdaiiiiinnnn #and the 'she misused me past the endurance of a block' rant #and when he's bitching about claudio falling in love w hero #but the vibes are so different this feels like a whole separate guy and that's really cool #i'm not sure how much i would love this production overall if i wasn't as familiar w the play tho #much ado #essentially trying to say in the least embarrassing way possible that david tennant is now both my first and second favorite benedick

on one hand I totally understand tropes are popular but on the other hand I think Amos is a lot more compelling as a middle aged woman trying to figure out her life after a loveless relationship than a mother figure ya know

It's like carol. she's in a mess trying to figure things out #and dragging anyone close to her into that mess #bc she spent so long in an environment where she is both not getting enough attention from one who she wants #and getting attention from others who are 'below' her. not that she conciously sees people as below her but i think society #would tell Amos that she has a higher role on the hierarchy as Deca's lover than anyone else in mondstadt #...now i'm imagining an old mond rebellion where the original goal was something like 'tear down the walls reform deca' and then Amos joine #went 'no I'm gonna kill him' and the rebellion went '....okay that doesn't sound like a terrible idea he IS the one keeping the walls up'#nb's goal after all was to break down the walls and see the sky right not explicitly to kill a god #.......puts this idea in my pocket to maybe play with #saying that my initial idea of her was also viss er one / eva anim orphs based but sim idea. middle aged woman #upper class middle aged divorced woman amos who has her hands full dealing with the fallout of her own life and making it everyone's proble #i just really like Problematic Woman #saying that carol did kinda really mother therese but also their relationship was uhhhh unequal. SUPREMELY frustrating that we found something actually really cool and intriguing and plot relevant in tonight's session but I'm still so constantly preoccupied with whether the DM is going to 100% kill us with sheer poor game design that I barely have enough brainspace left over to even enjoy it

#the first half of the session was a random-off-a-rolltable encounter that had nothing to do with anything and gave us literally nothing #and used up all our resources and took a REALLY long time because it was-- you guessed it! another deadly encounter for some reason!!#that's 100% of the encounters we've had so far!#and EXPLICITLY not related to what we were trying to investigate AND creatures that drop neither loot NOR BODIES #(two wil o the wisps and a water wierd)#we did a lot better in this encounter but it WAS deadly going off CR #and the point is now we've done just a short rest and THEN found the Plot Thing-- which our bard used up a bunch of resources to access #SO NOW IT'S LIKE. OKAY LOOK. I WANNA PLAY IN THIS SPACE BUT YOU KEEP TRYING TO KILL US WITH THINGS THAT AREN'T EVEN IMPORTANT #ARE YOU ABOUT TO WHOOPSIE-DOODLE US INTO A TPK ON ACCIDENT HERE???#like... it FEELS dangerous and A Bad Idea to engage with in a way that paradoxically SHOULD mean it's safer in a game like this #like-- okay if this was ACTUALLY as dangerous as it feels we wouldn't BE here on session six. does that make sense?#like when justin had us encounter a lich at level two in session three and I was immediately like OH okay he must have a plan here.#clearly some Scripted Plot is going to happen because there's no other reason he would put us up against a lich three sessions in. you know?#we started dying immediately and I was not afraid at all as a player because I trust justin wouldn't do that for no reason #or be so stupid to have that happen accidentally #THIS CAMPAIGN HOWEVER.... I DON'T TRUST LIKE THAT!!!#ARE WE GONNA FOR REAL PERMADIE BECAUSE YOU WASTED ALL OF OUR RESOURCES ON A RANDOM ENCOUNTER FIRST AND YOU DIDN'T THINK ABOUT THAT #ARE WE GONNA FOR REAL PERMADIE BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T REALIZE WE COULD USE THE ITEM YOU GAVE US TO OPEN THIS DOOR WITH A 5TH LEVEL SPELL #I WANNA PLAY IN THE SPACE BUT IT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE THERE'S ROOM FOR RISKTAKING WHERE THE BAD OUTCOMES WOULDN'T BE UNFUN CATASTROPHIC #AAAAUUUUGHHH #[shaking him violently] what do you mean that random encounter was a deadly encounter again what do you MEEEAAN #'oh huh this fight's taking longer than I thought' THEIR AC IS 19 AND THEY'RE RESISTANT TO NONMAGIC DAMAGE??#THE WATER WIERD KEEPS DISAPPEARING BACK INTO THE POND WHERE IT'S INVISIBLE??? MY BROTHER IN CHRIST HOW DID YOU EXPECT US TO DO IT FAST #hhhhhHHHH!!!!#I SHOULD BE THINKING AND TALKING ABOUT HOW COOL THE SECOND HALF OF THE SESSION GENUINELY WAS BUT I'M TOO STRESSED TO HAVE FUN #cannot stress enough that I'm in a million campaigns and I never have this problem with other DMs or with Highly Dangerous DnD Situations #melliwyk's party are in mortal peril constantly and it's... reaching a point where it's tiresome for how badly it's wearing on the PCs #but it rarely feels unfun stressful as a player playing a game #I never feel like the DM is about to accidentally end the whole campaign by bumblefucking us into a TPK at random #you know? it's different. this just feels unmanageable
