I definitely need to observe this more but I feel like in a lot of actual play or adjacent (ie, sf podcast) fandoms there's like. a particular fan mindset that takes almost every action from secondary characters in the worst faith possible with the exception of villainous/deeply morally ambiguous characters, and so you get people who will assume everyone is out to get the protagonists EXCEPT for the person who has shot at them 20 times while kicking a puppy; that person is misunderstood and deserved a redemption arc.

the way that nick spell in 14x17 makes it canonically SO easy to open a portal to the empty. it drives me insane. dean literally HAD cas's blood. on his jacket. it was all right there. it was set up perfectly. why show us nick opening a portal to the empty and specifically showing that the main ingredient was BLOOD then. not using that. dean was meant to rescue cas!!!!! full circle moment. i'm the one who gripped you tight a raised you from perdition. what's the matter, cas? you don't think you deserve to be saved? i love you, too. of course i love you. SMOOCH. anyways.

I have a hard time hating Donovan because as much of an asshole he is to his son, that man has done nothing wrong in my eyes. I know the goal is to keep him as a mystery and a sort of looming threat but I’m not really threatened by the unknown.
He’s a dick to Damian but it’s never made clear why. The best assumption would be that he’s rich and therefore neglectful but that doesn’t seem to be the case with all the other kids at Eden. He just comes off as paranoid for again no particular reason. The most we know is that he thinks that everyone is inherently a bunch of liars which is a nice contrast to the main cast of characters and based on that odd conversation with Twilight we know that he extends this belief even to his own family. Unfortunately, I have a hard time hating him even for that because I’m the end Damian is like 6 and it just seems to logically insane to view a child as a potential opp that I can’t take it seriously. Also he never extended that kind of suspicion to Demetrius so I dunno maybe Damian is the problem.
As for his politics, they are effectively nonexistent. Only information that we know is that he maybe possibly would be interested in starting the war again but at the same time that’s not how war works. My best understanding is that he is trying to be re-elected to start the war again but if that’s the case then why would anyone vote for him? No context is given as to why he lost the last re-election (and that’s me assuming he lost and it’s not a case of term limits) or what the general public thinks of him. There was that one scene where Millie blamed him for the death of her father so maybe the gp isn’t too fond of him but it’s also never said why. As much as I am anti war I do know war is a nuanced issue so I can’t really say if I’m against Donovan without know why he is interested in the war. He didn’t even start the war also what even is the war. It’s constantly referenced but I don’t even know what they’re talking about. The timeline is so vague and confusing.
I’m nitpicking again but it’s really confusing. I get the upset about losing family to the war but wars are far too political and complicated for me to just side with anyone. Like I feel bad for veterans in general but also a lot of them are cold blooded murderers and rapists who proudly dedicated their lives to furthering white supremacy and engaging in neocolonialism so I can only feel so bad before I just say womp womp and move on. Brainwashing does seem to be an issue in Ostania but again like meh. They specifically said Ostania isn’t a socialist state which was the core of the conflict between East and West Germany and it’s the socialist/communist beliefs that caused the most harm in East German but if that not the case here then what is actually going on.
If you have any information that can help please share I am confused 🤔
Anyways here’s a tiny Yor

I had forgotten that this omake existed (ep 147), but this has to be the Hitsugaya Special Edition, right? This is the 18-page photo album, with outtakes, no? The timing is wiggly, because this obviously happens at the end of the Advance Team Arc, but the Special Edition was clearly already in the works when Hisagi delivered Ukitake his Post-Ryouka Invasion Special Issue (is any issue of the Bulletin not a special issue?) They couldn't possibly have published two Captain Hitsugaya specials in a row, could they? (It's the Bulletin, they very well could have)
Anyway, I am still obsessed with the idea that this was published sometime during the actual Winter War and Hitsugaya never actually saw it, but for a brief period was, like, the Louis Tomlinson of Soul Society and was entirely unaware of it.

Consider: Yukino Aguria is a jacket magnet, to hilarious proportions.
The poor girl can barely rub her arms half an inch without somebody offering their coat, jacket, or cloak. it's not like she gets cold super easily, It just happens all the time. And she tries not to accept it, but it rarely deters the gifter.
Sting has given Yukino the shirt off his back more than once, which is made funny by the fact that the shirt didn't even have sleeves. Either time. It seems like Yukino has more of Minerva's sweaters then Minerva herself does. The only time the sabertooth guild had a fight on par with a Tuesday in fairy tail is when Yukino visibly shivered, and there was a war to be had. A war that Rufus won, he'll have you know. But it's easiest for rogue since he wears cloaks all the time, and sometimes Yukino won't even notice as she also wears cloaks a lot.
This does not stop with sabertooth. Millianna will also wrap her cloak over yukino's shoulders at the slightest sign of a chill. If kagura doesn't get there first, which she often does. Ichiya has attempted a few times but always fails, largely in part to rogue's ichiya-related traumas.
Erza has a basically endless supply of jackets that she never uses. It's less that yukino is cold and more that Ezra's giving them away. Lucy has also passed off a number of her jackets off, and when yukino tries to stop her, lucy will laugh and say if she gets cold, she'll bug natsu or summon horologium. Natsu himself has only offered once, and then Lucy pointed out that his jacket doesn't have sleeves.
Juvia does get pissed if gray ends up giving his jacket to yukino, but it's more like when gray chucks his jacket off it's now in yukino's hands. Yukino tends to try and offer it to juvia, but sometimes juvia just gives yukino her jacket as well.
No, Yukino is not used to this. at all.
