if you saw my previous post about mohammed shehab’s campaign, here’s an update. mohammed has posted on a new account that, due to issues with taxing on gofundmes in germany where the previous campaign was located, he has had to remake the campaign.

this new campaign has a higher goal and i’m not sure if he’ll be able to access the funds from the previous campaign or if it will be refunded or something, from what he wrote on his new post it sounds like he can’t access it right now, so here’s a link to his new one. obviously the higher goal and the fact that it’s starting from scratch throws a wrench in my original plans to post a fact for every milestone reached until the goal was met as i simply don’t have that many drafts ready, but hopefully people will help even without an incentive from me.

also, cempaka means "magnolia" in malay!! (she gets a flower name bc my name is lilly which is also flower c:)

I feel like in the beginning, the first few decades where they'd be seen more as heroes rather than full on gods, they'd still be charged taxes

but somewhere down the line, either a few drones would complain that the heroes/gods were being taxed, or some tax collector would just quietly stop sending them reminders to pay

so by year 40-whatever they haven't been required to pay anything for a while

N still sends the robo-IRS some money every now and then (they have a decent amount of money gifted to them pretty regularly, so might as well) it's not adjusted for inflation, though, so it's a lot like grandpa giving you a nickel to go buy yourself a candy bar

Yes!! Jake was a rescue golden we had years ago. Very very good boy, hated water. We'd take him to the river for swimming and he'd only go in to fetch, and even then never deep enough he'd have to swim.

aksdjfhsd yeah!! also I imagine there being a ton of angst potential because Stan remembers ("remembers" my ass, he doesn't remember shit) himself and Shermie as being fairly close as kids, because everything involving "my brother" is conflated with Shermie, until the Mystery Incident got him kicked out. But Shermie wasn't super close with either of his brothers because of the age difference, and also because I hc him as not being home very often and getting the hell outta dodge as soon as he was old enough. So poor Stan has an imagined closer brotherly dynamic with Shermie, who isn't maintaining this dynamic into adulthood because to him Stan is his younger brother who dropped off the face of the earth (sad) at age 17, popped up a few times in newspapers to get arrested and/or scam people, and then dropped off the face of the earth again at 27.
