Stop putting them on the pedestal!

I'm gonna say this many times, stop putting your SP on the pedestal, they're just human, whether they're celebrities, models, hot and Athletic, popular in your high school, a rich man, they're JUST humans, they also have insecurities, doubt, sad days, bad days, they're not perfect and you are not too.

Start working on your self-concept:

If you don't know, self-concept is important, it represent how you view your world, and your assumption create your reality, and since the World is just a mirror so it's gonna show you what you assume.

I know when you hear about self-concept it seems like a lot of work, but it's really simple.

What it is then?

Stop assuming things you don't want to! And start assuming better things!

For example: you assume and believe that men aren't loyal, trash and they're cheaters and that you never will get into a happy relationship blah blah blah, guess what? That what you'll be seeing, if you change your assumption saying that you deserve the best and your partners are Always loyal and dedicated and devoted to you and treat you like a princess, then that what you're gonna see.

As for my story after an incident, i realised that i should stop chasing after guys and it should be the opposite instead, i held the assumption that guys Always chase after me and they're Always obsessed with me, i always play hard to get and it seriously fun and amusing 😏.

So start assuming the best for yourself, start assuming that you always get treated like a princess by men, Always getting spoiled by them, Always finding your dream ideal partners and that they only see you and only you and are obsessed and completely devoted to you.

Decide & Assume: decide that right now your SP is already in love with you and assume he's obsessed with you and you both are already in a healthy relationship, going on a dates, him spoiling you (of course because you deserve it honey💅🙄).

Affirm: choose your ideal affirmation that represent that you and your SP are already in a relationship.

For example:

A/N: had so much fun with this one that I wrote it in just a day, can you believe it?

We’re bringing sheep!MC to the table here. Whether you want them to be an ewe or a ram, it doesn’t matter; in the end, they’re cute and their wool is curly and fluffy.

I haven’t read the manga, where this version of MC takes place, so I don’t know how it works, but I like to think the potential human students didn’t have photos on their information sheets as to “not judge a book by its cover”, therefore no one really knew how MC looked like.

(Actually, this HC works with human!MC too)

It isn’t until the year is coming to an end that MC’s biology and immune system have developed enough to survive the Devildom’s atmosphere in their human form. They’re allowed to transform back and everyone finally sees what they’ve been missing out this whole time.

Lucifer

Due to his work, his taste and the way he is overall, most of Lucifer’s friends belong to the nobility or high society or are generally people with ambition and success in mind.

While he can enjoy going to clubs, like some of his brothers, his personality shines in more private ambiences. Old-money type of parties where chatter is never loud and guests are well groomed and put together, showing themselves in their demon forms with grace; the ultimate level of formal attire.

No matter your gender, hair is supposed to be pushed back with a polished look, so thick curls are hardly appreciated.

When he sees your human form for the first time, and this is something he will take to the grave, his first fleeting thought is wondering if you somehow maintained some ovine feature that made your hair look like that.

Suffice to say, it doesn’t take him too long to understand that your appearance is entirely yours and not the consequences of some spell.

He’s not blushing, MC. Stop laughing at him.

Will compliment you to make you blush instead.

The unruliness of your haircut makes it impossible for him to stop staring and he can’t help but imagine what would it feel like to touch it, to curl the loops around his fingers as many times as you’d let him.

He’s curious about how messy it’d look with a bedhead, but that’s a thought he’d rather revisit later.

Mammon

Although he was extremely curious about your human appearance since the moment you started to grow on him, it wasn’t something he lost sleep over.

He would love you no matter what you looked like.

However.

Being a model himself, it is impossible not to picture you on the cover of a magazine the first time he lays eyes on you. Looking upwards, eyes directed towards the camera under your lashes and lips partially parted, barely hiding a knowing smile.

Yeah, he can picture you. Perhaps too well.

But he’s being honest! You could be a model, MC!

Demons have been following human trends since the dawn of time, given that they are to be perceived as temptation, and he hasn’t seen that haircut in decades. Sure, curls have always been present, but not in that specific style.

You will catch him staring at you way more often than when you were a sheep, but there’s a shift in his eyes that you’ll only notice if you stare just as much.

Before your change, there was admiration and affection, an honest yet small smile that would disappear behind his hand in embarrassment whenever you’d turn his way.

Now, besides that, there’s also yearning. A desire to do something that only manifests when his fingers grab the end of your curls and gently tug to make them longer each time you sit together in class.

He will stop if it bothers you even if your rejection hurts a little, but please, please, allow him this much.

Satan

Unlike his eldest brother’s, Satan’s social circle is diverse and large, ranging from interns and students to CEOs and deans.

You never know where help and privileges may be coming from, after all.

He’s not picky about the origins of his friendships either, so one day he might be seen chatting with the National Fangol’s Vice Chairman and with an undiscovered indie singer the next.

His world is versatile and constantly evolves; he’s met a lot of different people through the many years of his life and all of them looked different from the other.

While yours is a haircut he’s already seen other people have, he still smiles the first time he sees your human form, although that might be due to him finally seeing your true self.

There’s a wild feeling to you that’s also cosy and confident. You remind him of bookstore cafés and open mic bars and even music festivals in summer where the dirt is covered in empty cans, half-smoked cigarettes and unconscious people.

He wonders if you like music or poetry, if he could introduce anybody to you that could make your dreams come true or that could give him the perfect opportunity to take you on your ideal date.

Or maybe you’re not an artistic person and you have your fixation focused on science or magic.

Perhaps none of them or even all at once!

He stares, not because he’s obsessed with you or your fitting hairstyle, but because he’s dying to know how much more is there for him to uncover.

Asmodeus

I’m going to step into shitpost territory here, but if he could have a Pokedex of inhabitants of the Devildom and beyond, you better believe it would be halfway full.

He’s known, met, and befriended (and more) so many people that is difficult for him to discover someone different.

It’s not your fault or lack of creativity, but when you’re an extroverted demon with such an experience in socializing like him, it gets to a point where finding unique features gets hard.

Still, when he first sees you, he can’t help but stare with shiny eyes and an open wide smile.

Your appearance helps your personality make sense. It’s an accessory that compliments you and, now that he has the whole picture, he can remember all those moments he shared with you and replace your cute little sheep shape with the human body that’s keeping him awake at night.

It’s not like that! Nothing filthy!

Although he won’t mind if you happen to slip inside his bed in the middle of the night.

He just can’t stop thinking about you, the way your curls frame your face or bounce when you play that tiring dance game in Levi’s room.

Not much time passes until he starts watching videos on Deviltube on how to define curls or how to style them with silk scarfs, rings, chains and even crystals. He’ll be happy to help you with the process, especially if it takes longer than expected. That just means you both get to spend even more time together.

Lando adjusted his goggles as the icy wind whipped against his face, standing at the edge of the slope with Max, Pietra, Martin, and a couple of other friends. The trip to the Alps had been Max’s idea, a pre-Christmas getaway to decompress before the holidays. Normally, Lando loved the thrill of skiing—his competitive streak made him race down the slopes faster than anyone else. But today, his mind was somewhere far away, thousands of miles south, in Mexico.

Max, gliding effortlessly next to Pietra, was chatting animatedly with her, their laughter echoing through the crisp mountain air. Lando couldn’t help but notice how Max reached out to adjust Pietra’s scarf or how she leaned into him with ease, as if the whole world existed only for them.

It wasn’t that Lando was jealous, he was happy for his best mate, but watching them stirred an ache in his chest. He missed her.

He missed the way Amelie would tease him relentlessly for his shit Spanish, her fingers absentmindedly brushing his as they walked. He missed the softness in her voice when she called him "Lan" and the way her laugh made his chest tighten in the best possible way. Hell, he even missed the way she bossed him around when they were deciding where to eat.

And now, he couldn’t stop picturing her on that yellow carpet, dazzling in whatever gown she had picked for the Wicked premiere. He had seen her walk a dozen carpets before, but there was something different about this one. It wasn’t just a movie—it was her movie, her moment.

—Mate, you coming, or are you just gonna stand there looking moody?— Max called, breaking Lando out of his thoughts.

—I’ll meet you guys down there,— Lando replied, tugging his goggles off and waving them on. —I’m starving anyway.—

Max shot him a knowing look but didn’t push. Lando had been acting like this all week, and everyone in their little group knew why. They might not have said it outright, but the way they kept glancing at him every time someone mentioned Amelie was enough.

Back at the chalet, Lando collapsed onto the couch as Martin turned on the massive TV for their lunch break. A tray of steaming pasta and bread sat in front of them, but Lando barely touched it, his eyes glued to his phone.

—Are you watching that livestream?— Pietra asked, settling next to Max with a steaming mug of hot chocolate.

—Yeah,— Lando admitted, not even looking up. On the screen, Amelie stood outside the theater, beaming as she greeted fans and signed autographs. She was glowing in a floor-length, pale pink gown, her blonde hair styled in loose waves that reminded him of the day they’d spent at the beach back in August. The press cameras flashed relentlessly, capturing every inch of her. She looked like an actual goddess.

—Fucking hell,— Lando muttered, more to himself than anyone else. —She’s unreal.—

—She really is,— Max chimed in with a smirk. —Don’t tell me you’re getting all sappy again, mate.—

—Shut up,— Lando shot back, but there was no venom in his voice. —I can’t help it. Look at her!— He gestured at his phone like it explained everything.

—You’re so dramatic,— Pietra teased, laughing. —We get it, you’re in love.—

—Yeah, well,— Lando said, shrugging. —Wouldn’t you be if your girlfriend was Amelie fucking Dayman?— He tossed his phone onto the coffee table, slumping back against the cushions. —It’s just... I miss her, okay? We’ve been apart for, what, four days? And it feels like a goddamn eternity.—

Martin chuckled. —You two literally spent a month glued to each other. You’re worse than a clingy teenager.—

—Yeah, but still,— Lando argued, rubbing the back of his neck. —I hate being apart. And don’t even get me started on how busy she’s been. I barely saw her in the weeks leading up to this trip because of the press tour. It’s like we’re finally together, but there’s always something keeping us apart.—

—Yet you make it work,— Pietra said, her tone softer now.

—Yeah,— Lando admitted, a small smile tugging at his lips. —We do. Somehow, we always figure it out. She’s... she’s worth it, you know?—

Max leaned forward, smirking. —You’re so whipped, mate.—

—Yeah, I am,— Lando said, not even trying to deny it. —But she’s whipped for me too, so it’s fair.— He grinned, thinking about the way Amelie would melt whenever he called her "Ames" or kissed the top of her head when they cuddled.

—Seriously though,— he continued, his voice dropping to something more genuine, —we’ve come a long way since... you know, the first time we tried this.—

The room grew quieter. Everyone knew about their rocky history, the messy situationship that ended in heartbreak for both of them.

—But this time’s different,— Lando said, more to himself than anyone else. —We’ve grown up. We understand that we’ve got our own lives and schedules and friends. And yeah, it sucks sometimes... being apart like this, but I know we’re solid. She makes me feel like... like I’m enough, you know? Even when I’m halfway across the world.—

Pietra smiled at him, her expression warm. —That’s love, Lando.—

—Yeah,— he murmured, glancing back at the stream. Amelie was still on the yellow carpet, laughing at something Kit Connor had said. He couldn’t wait to tell her how breathtaking she looked, how proud he was of her.

And in just four days, he’d get to hold her again. December 22nd couldn’t come fast enough.

💅 so I think Alastor and Vox used to be close. As much as Alastor likes to appear unbothered, it's pretty clear Vox gets under his skin at least a little bit. And there's this picture

Where they are in close proximity to each other. Why would the Radio Demon allow such a good picture of him to be taken with someone he hated? Just doesn't make sense. But a friend or maybe a mentee is a different story.

I'm just theorizing for shits and giggles but maybe went something like this:

Vox didn't have a lot of power when he first manifested. TV was new and not terribly popular in hell at that time. But he Wanted it. He was used to being a powerful man when he was alive and was determined to achieve the same success in his afterlife.

To climb the ladder he would have to network, make friends, maybe get someone to teach him the ropes of this new place.

He first heard about the radio demon through one of his broadcasts and was entranced. But what really got to him was the way every demon around him was also entranced. That. That was the power he wanted to have. The power he needed. Control and adoration of the masses.

From there Vox set out to work with the Radio Demon. He worked his way into the same circles Alastor ran in by way of his natural charisma and small deals that led to bigger deals and bigger opportunities.

Eventually he made it. He got to meet his new idol and charmed him too! Alastor liked him at first! Saw potential in him and took him under his wing. Vox gained power, knowledge, and influence while learning from the Radio Demon. And also fell in love with him .

At some point, feeling emboldened by the positive attention he'd been getting from Alastor and the power he'd admassed for himself, Vox came to him with a proposal. He put his heart everything on the line and suggested they be equal partners in everything.

Alastor laughed in his face at the notion that they could ever be equals. He laughed and laughed and laughed and then laughed some more when he saw how shattered Vox looked.

Vox, unable to deal with the rejection, attacked him. It was messy and bloody. Or well, Vox was messy and bloody. The radio demon walked away with barley a scratch.

Vox has been obsessed with hate fucking getting revenge against Alastor since then.

but then carlos immediately popped on a pair of headphones and started cooking with the team strategy 🔥 the man u are

i had to check about three times that the aston martin that crashed was alonso and not stroll

literally every possible thing that could have gone wrong for lewis and charles went wrong. communication, DIABOLICAL strategy calls, and congrats ferrari 👏 you got one of the most level-headed drivers on the grid to curse on team radio in the first race of the season

REVIEW OF SCARLET BY MARRISA MEYER

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Yeah this ate. I thought Cinder was good… well boy oh boy did this one surpass everything. Scarlet and Wolf are my favorite couple so far, and I fear they will stay there. I adore their dynamic and fantastic dialogue together. Thorn is so real, very much giving Flynn Ryder energy and knowing a little about the next book Cress, he’s literally perfect. This book was much more fun to engage with. That’s 100% because there is less world building/setting up needed and Meyer was really just able to play with what was already there, able to focus on plot and character much more. If you are a reader who focuses more on characters and their relationships with each other, this series is for you! The plot is simple and pretty straightforward, which really allows the characters to shine! So far everyone has a dead relative… which is unfortunate but you know… gotta give the characters trauma for their development. All and all this was fantastic and I cannot wait for the next one!

The recombinants hear Spider yelp and then turn around to see him holding his side, blood oozing from between his fingers.

Quaritch’s paternal instincts are going completely haywire because this is a parent’s worst nightmare, and as the squad chases away the remaining predators, Ja tends to the kid and contracts Bridgehead to send a ship to a closer location where they could meet up.

What follows is an agonisingly long hour of flying on the ikran as Spider gets progressively more delirious, digging his nails into Miles’s arm and sobbing as he turns into the softest dad ever because this might the last time they speak (it’s not, he gets help and survives obv but it’s the ✨panic✨ that matters 😈)

Gunfire fell like rain around him. Spider’s breath caught in his throat as each round fired past him - mini explosions detonating in his ears. The moss was cool underfoot and the bark was rough against his back, but Spider wasn’t aware of any of it crouching for protection behind the tree trunk. Shouts from the recoms and yelps from the enraged viperwolfs filled his ears as he hid from the line of fire, desperately hoping that the creatures would retreat - knowing they wouldn’t. 

The squad had unknowingly disturbed a pack of them when Fike decided to try hunting a nearby yerik. He’d been unaware that the animal was also being stalked by a pack that hadn’t eaten in days, vicious for their meal. Unable to fend the whole pack off by himself, Fike had run back to camp for back up, leading them straight to the sleeping campmates. Without his bow, and mixed up in the stench of RDA equipment and clothing, the wolves hadn’t been able to distinguish Spider as a friend amongst foes. And so he was gasping for breath, hidden from the recoms and also, he hoped, the wolves. 

A pause in the gunfire made Spider look behind him. 

“Spread out!” Quaritch shouted. 

“Push left, they’re circling round…” That sounded like Prager.

He considered running out from the tree and back to the centre of camp, but just then, the familiar gleam of yellow eyes in the dark stilled him. The reflective orbs belonged to a female viperwolf, twenty feet away and stalking him, pressed low to the ground. She was getting slowly closer, her gaze locked on him. Her mouth was curled in a snarl and slobbering hungrily. Spider didn’t have long. She was going to attack. 

He had a split second to decide, knowing that if he stayed where he was, he would be nantang food for sure. Fear swelled in his stomach, manifesting in his quicker breaths and sweaty palms. For a moment, he stared at the animal, and the animal stared back, before he threw himself off the grass and out from the tree, intending to sprint back to camp and get behind someone with a gun. 

Then, several things happened at once. He caught sight of Quaritch and the rest of the squad, rifles raised and fingers on triggers, trained on the treeline - right where he was. He just met eyes with the Colonel before he felt it. A ripping, searing, bolting pain straight through his side. 

The world stilled. He felt sick.

Doctober 2023 prompt #29: 2023

I dragged my bestie to go see the Broadway musical version of bttf earlier this year. IT WAS WONDERFUL. 💝💝💝

We watched it back in August, so my memory isn't the clearest and I'll probably forget something, but this is a long enough post as is.

SPOILERS FOR THE MUSICAL BELOW

I mean, its just the movie but in musical format, but they add things here and there that surprised me, so if u like to be surprised... there's your warning

My friend and I sat in the middle of Row F (highlighted in green above). We wanted to be close, but not super close to have to look up at a weird angle. It was crazy to be so close AND SUPER WORTH IT. When the actors look out into the audience you can really feel like they're looking at you (from their POV they prolly dont see anything because the lights) its a really cool experience! 🤩🤩

OK SO MY FAVORITE LINE FROM THE MUSICAL THAT HAD ME ROLLING BECAUSE IT WAS SO UNEXPECTED WAS: "Is this what they call 'white trash'???" I won't spoil the full context bUT HE WAS REFERRING TO MARTY AT THAT MOMENT.

The Earth Angel scene made me love and appreciate the scene in the movie, and the song EVEN MORE THAN I ALREADY DID. THEY EVEN BROUGHT OUT THE BUBBLES AND IT WAS A WHOLE VIBE (yet another reason why I was grateful we sat in the front). They nailed the execution of the scene, people were cheering and everything during the kiss. Even I got hyped, whereas before, when I was just watching the movie, I was like 'aight.'

The atmosphere in the theater hit different frfr. When Marty and Doc reunited at the end and hugged, I let out a little, "Yay!!" They had such good chemistry on stage, my favorite moments of them were when one of them would say something crazy and then the other would go, "What?" And then the other would go, "What??" And confusion ensues.

AND THEN, AS IF UNEXPECTED STUFF DIDN'T ALREADY HAPPEN, THE MOST UNEXPECTED THING HAPPENED AT THE END. THE DELOREAN FLEW.

IT FLEW.

INTO THE CROWD.

RIGHT ABOVE US.

AND THAT MADE IT SUPER WORTH IT TO SIT CLOSE TO THE FRONT. I wonder what it looked like from the balcony though...

Can we just take a moment to appreciate Hugh Coles??? He single-handedly made me appreciate the character of George after seeing his performance.

FR HE NAILED THE CHARACTER PERFORMANCE, IT WAS INSANE. You really gotta see it to believe it. mf from west end too so imagine my surprise when I heard him in an interview with an accent ☠️☠️☠️

Literally me throughout the whole musical:

I knew I was going to like the musical, but what I listed out here is basically the reason why I LOVED the musical. I love surprises so that's a big part of it as well.

Fave song: Used to be 'Put Your Mind To It' then it was 'It Works' but I think I settled on 'Something About That Boy' I just love duets and overlapping lines in songs. [But we all know the best song is Cake 💅]

TL,DR: The bestie and I went to see bttf the musical. i am a changed man... and now im here 🙃
