pairings: grumpy!reader x sunshine!kenji kishimoto.
warnings: absolutely shitty pick up lines and horrible attempt at flirting. also sexual innuendos lol
summary: kenji and his intimidating gf
notes: I need this man so bad Iâm not even joking. Also yes you can be my coral anon đ«¶(you guys can claim any emoji you guys wishes) also kenji is orange while you are purple.
you absolutely hated kenji when you first met him.
he was obnoxiously loud, very annoying, doesnât read the room, and sarcastic. way too sarcastic.
although his little sarcasm comments really can make you break a character
while you hated him at first sight, you absolutely caught his attention when you arrived at omega point.
he was stars truck that he mad it a goal to impress you, to notice him and maybe, maybe you can possibly like him back.
when in training, heâs really trying so hard to impress you
you noticed him once with a comment saying ânice work, kishimoto.â and he absolutely froze at that moment
he had it imprinted on his mind, treasure the moment on his heart, and blush at the moment every time he remembers it.
he actually like the way you played hard to get, or at least that were you doing instead of genuinely hating his ass
he says random pickup line at you.
and will always try to insert his flirty comments.
are you a map? âcause I just got lost in your eyes, princess.
hey, I think I have a low iron cause every time I get up too fast I always end up falling for you.
no pen, no paperâŠbut you still draw my attention.
the sunflowers would mistake you for the sun, all turning to look at you.
hey, whatâs the month date today again?
Itâs may now. may I finally be yours?
hey, Princess. Do you know the word of the day?
the what???
word of the day. itâs âlegsâ so, why donât we go home and spread the word?
no pickup lines today?
nah, donât have any pick up lines cause Iâm not tryna be picked up Iâm trynna be pinned down. he smirks
Itâs stupid, really.
but sometimes you find yourself blushing and a small smile coming at your lips
and of course, it wonât get unnoticed by him. he always feel proud at himself and a smug smirk is displaying his face
and, you sometimes tease him by flirting back.
âhey, howâs my favorite girl doing?â Kenji said as he enters the gym.
âyour favorite girl is doing okay. how about her favorite boy, hmm?â you replied, as your eyes are still focused on the lifts. With the lack of reply, you look at him and there he was, standing frozenly as his cheeks painted tomato red.
âthat was smooth.â He finally said after a solid minutes.
âwanna see if my lips are too?â you replied with a smirk.
â
âWatch out, sweetheart. You kinda sound like youâre flirting when we argue.â Kenji suddenly said as you guys argue over something stupid, again. You only roll your eyes as a response that make him chuckle.
âWhoa, watch at that attitude, princess, yeah?â he said after he whistled.
âattitude isnât the only reason my eyes roll back.â you countered with a smirk, staring directly at his eyes.
â
ârelationship are 50/50, you are a catch, so am I.â
âyeah right, a relationship is 50/50 you give me your last name while I scream your first.â
âWOAHH!?â
when you finally smile at him openly he gets caught off guard like
wow??? you are so beautiful??
He still continues to win you over even when he already has!
he calls you sunshine ironically because you are actually just the grumpy black cat gf
I donât need protection.
yeah, believe me she doesnât .
he calls you sweetheart, princess, pretty girl, baby and maâam
you who glares while kenji just grins
he loves the way you laughed at his stupid jokes
you are laughing. I told a joke and you are laughing. I LOVE YOU.
kenji who looks at you first when he makes sarcastic comments / jokes to see if you are laughing.
My girl not allowed to watch IT cause i'm the only clown she needs in her life
LOVES LOVES the way you glare at everyone but smiles only at him.
like he is your only exception make him wanna just marry you right there
gets jealous when you suddenly a lot less grumpy in warners presence
he scrutinizing the fuck out of him FOR REAL
he will never admit that he's jealous of warner for his pride and ego cus he know warner only doing it to get on too him
but he will pout and will sass you
he will play pranks on someone who flirt with you using his ability to be invisible
It really gets handy
anddd aaron warner is always the victim of it
I mean yes, Warner can sense him BUT not when someone is really keeping him distracted
EHEM juliette EHEM
can't keep his laugh whenever warner come out annoyed at him bc of the pranks
âRemind me again, what did you even like about kishimoto?â Warner asks while kenji just huffed.
you, who is reading a book blatantly says without looking up, âhis personality.â you feel someoneâs pair of eyes on you
Warner raised his eyebrows, surprised. âReally now?â
âFuck you mean by that?â Kenji interpreted while warner look at him with disgust on his eyes.
âyeah, i was surprised too.â you replied which cause your boyfriend to gasp dramatically and warner who chuckled.
Kenji grabbed at his chest dramatically, âwow. Betrayed by my own girl?â You laughed at him while you gave him a kiss on his temple while Warner rolled his eyes and left. Kenji who still annoyed at warner ignored it while he sassyingly left.
he ignored you for a solid 1 hour and then he comes at you asking for cuddles
he peppered some kisses on your face and calls it "skincare"
he puts flowers onto your hair
you always dig holes into someone just by glaring, and he'd bend down gently and lean over to whisper, âwhy don't we like them?â
he follows you like a puppy
whenever you stand up to go somewhere HE FOLLOWS.
WHENEVER YOU GO HE GO.
he worships the ground you walk on
he sees you a gift from God
he loves to be babied by you
but will never admit it
at the end, he is your sunshine to your cloudy mood.

Peter meets baby Morgan
Tony meets him in the hospital lobby.
"Hey kid, nice to see you," he greets him with a quick hug, Peter barely having time to raise his arms around the older before it was over.
"Uh, hi. How are you guys?"
Tony's eyes are unsteady with heavy bags underneath, his hair falling from its usual quiff down onto his forehead in soft waves. His Black Sabbath long sleeve is rumpled with sweat stains, and he has the biggest, most persisting grin splitting his face.
"Great, perfect, amazing, beautiful. Here, sanitize."
Peter nearly drops the bag in his hand as he fumbles to put his palms out as Tony squirts hand sanitizer on them.
"Follow me!" Tony twirls around and Peter is quick to catch up.
Peter's stomach does leaps and whirls, nerves and excitement creating a nauseating combination in his stomach. Tony leads him down white-tiled hallways to a large postpartum suite.
"Knock knock, we're back," Tony taps on the door.
Peter follows him in shyly, peaking around the large room. There aren't any windows, there's a TV attached to the wall, and a little tub beside the hospital bed on wheels. It reminds Peter of incubating chicks. He doesn't see the baby yet, only Pepper laying in the hospital bed under piles of pastel blankets.
"H-hi Mrs. Potts. I hope you're feeling well."
She smiles at him, warm and motherly. He wonders if he always thought that of her, or if it's only started since her pregnancy.
"Hi Peter. I'm doing much better now, thank you. All went well."
He smiles back, then remembers the bag he brought when he fidgets with it in his hands. He walks closer to her so he can show the contents.
"Oh, I uh, brought you some food. May says the hospital food is terrible, and you guys would probably be hungry. I wasn't sure what you were feeling so I brought spring rolls, Cuban sandwiches, and pepperoni pizza, also some chocolate bars and a bag of skittles. Oh and an orange, for like... health, but I can always go and get something else-"
"Peter?"
"Yes ma'am?"
"I'd like you to meet Morgan Stark."
She shuffles the blanket on top of her and Peter realizes that her newborn baby is resting on her chest, cuddled under the baby blanket and resting her tiny head on Pepper's freckled skin.
Peter's breath catches.
"Oh."
He's frozen, staring at the small creature. Tony pushes his back gently, encouraging him to get closer.
His steps are slow and gentle, as if the quiet echoes of sneakers on linoleum would be enough to wake the baby. He bends down awkwardly, watching the way her eyes scrunch but remain closed.
"Oh wow, she's. She's so small," he speaks in a hushed tone.
Pepper grumbles good naturedly at the comment, "she didn't feel small at the time."
"7 pounds 10 ounces," Tony says with pride.
Peter isn't sure what that means in terms of babies, but he can't help but feel proud too.
Her face is bright red and speckled, her skin looking impossibly soft. Her fingers are so tiny, like a genuine doll, and she wears a yellow hat. Peter reaches for her instinctually before dropping the movement.
"It's okay," Pepper says and grabs his hand, bringing it up towards Morgan.
Peter decides to run his finger against the back of her hand. Her skin is so soft that the boy gasps at the feeling. Morgan's fingers curl against her mother's skin before stretching out again, and Peter stops moving, stops breathing, until she settles.
"I've never met a baby this small before. I mean sometimes toddlers, or moms holding their baby that want Spider-Man to take a picture with them. But this, this is so different. She's like an adorable alien. I think I'd die for her."
Pepper and Tony share a giggle.
"Me too kid. Us and every other Avenger. Even Happy cracked a few tears when he saw her."
Peter smiles at that. Happy is really just a big softie. They all know it, they just aren't allowed to say it out loud.
"Would you like to hold her?" Pepper asks.
Peter looks up at her in surprise. She's giving him an encouraging smile, sitting up in the bed.
"Oh I don't know if, I don't know how to do... that."
Tony steps up to the bed. He grabs the sky blue blanket that was resting on top of the newborn's naked body and starts to swaddle her in it so she doesn't get cold away from her mother's body heat. Once she is wrapped snugly he picks her up and turns to Peter.
"It's like a football, Pete. Just make sure to support her head, here," panicked, Peter drops the bag and quickly mimicks the way Tony's arms fold around the child as Morgan is placed in them, making sure his hand cradles her head.
She fits perfectly in his arms. All the movement makes her fussy, wiggling slightly, and Peter pulls her closer to his chest to protect her. Her eyebrows scrunch and her mouth bobs opens and closed like a fish.
Unable to resist, Peter lifts a gentle hand to brush against her face with the pad of his thumb. He goes down the bridge of her nose, pausing for a moment on the tip in awe of the sweet button shape. Then he brushes against her cheeks, red and bumpy with acne but so extremely delicate under his feather-light touches.
Morgan settles in his arms, wiggling stopping as she falls back asleep.
"I can't believe she's real. She's so adorable I wanna eat her," he mumbles, unable to wipe the smile off his lips.
"Please don't, we were kind of planning on keeping her for a while," Pepper chimes.
Peter glances up to share his joy with the parents only to find Tony has tears in his eyes, unable to look away from the sight of the pair.
"Mr. Stark! Are you crying?"
"Don't be ridiculous. I'm obviously allergic to babies. She must have inside-mom pollen on her still, Pep they didn't clean all your goo off her."
"You're totally crying! That's so sweet of you sir."
Tony quickly wipes the stray tear from his eye, "fine, I admit it. I've been such a good father and husband that all your," he waves a hand in Pepper's direction, "hormones rubbed off on me. I'd never express my emotions so openly otherwise."
Despite his dismissive tone Peter shares a genuine smile with the man, his love for the pair of kids so revering it bathes the room in warmth.
Pepper rolls her eyes but soaks in the warmth just as much.
The teen looks back down at the baby in his arms with his brown eyes shining in awe.
Tony's hand finds Pepper's on the hospital bed, interlacing their fingers and bringing it up to his lips for a kiss.
"God I have so much energy in my heart. I need to punch a wall or cause an explosion," Tony says, squeezing Pepper's hand with a gentle touch.
"How's it feel to be a big brother Peter?" Pepper asks.
He looks up at her in shock, "big brother? Really?" but not without hope.
"Of course."
Peter laughs in disbelief, looking between Tony, Pepper, and Morgan.
"I- this. I'm, yeah. I'll be the best brother ever. I promise. I'll buy her the annoying toys you won't, and take her for ice cream, and I'll babysit whenever you want!"
Tony cradles the back of Peter's neck with a sweet softness, "don't worry about it Pete. This is enough."
Peter relaxes under his touch, and stares down at the unbelievable life that warms his arms and chest and entire being.
Yeah, this is enough.

jealousy | rhea ripley
rhea ripley x fem!reader
summary: you and rhea arenât anything official, but youâre still jealous upon seeing her flirt with others.Â
word count: 3,838
warnings: just slight sexual implications i think?
a/n: WOW um okay hi, i havenât posted writing on this blog in YEARS but i recently got fully back into wrestling and have developed such a love for rhea ripley. so i decided to start writing again, but itâs been so long this definitely isnât my best work. hereâs to getting back into the swing of things i hope! (also i know samantha is engaged to ricochet and ofc all of it is just character work, but it made for a good plot soo)
Rhea was a flirt. That much was true long before you, and it was certainly not a secret to most. She had the charm, and of course the looks, so people were naturally drawn to her, and she loved that. Flirting, to her, was fun â harmless fun, for the most part â and typically it never went beyond cheeky comments or tantalizing gestures.
So when Rhea began flirting with you, initially you didnât think much of it and really had no reason to. She was attractive â incredibly attractive â and her voice could melt you instantly if you let it; but this was just her thing. At first, you would catch her staring at you backstage or at other company events. Then, she started making it a point to tell you how beautiful you looked each time she saw you. From there, you were texting a lot more and hanging out outside of schedule. But still, it was never anything official and they were never labeled as âdates,â which you internally hated yourself for forgetting.
Because now, you were jealous. A fiery red jealousy that had you feeling betrayed without the entitlement to do so. For some reason, you thought things seemed different between you and Rhea. She seemed more serious and attentive, even remembering small details youâd told her about things you enjoyed. You couldnât imagine she did that for just anyone she happened to flirt with.
Yet there you were last night, scrolling through Twitter and seeing endless posts about Rhea and Samantha. Rhea was being her usual flirty self, smiling, blowing kisses, and surely winking beneath those glasses, and it was obvious Samantha was enjoying it. Even worse, there were also comment threads with Cathy, and you knew it was all lighthearted, but it still made you feel some type of way.
You liked Rhea. A lot actually. Maybe thatâs why you wanted to believe she liked you too and treated you differently from the rest. Clearly, you were wrong. And you werenât going to be strung along in a game or play along with silly flirting when you genuinely hoped for more with her. Thatâs why now that she was here in front of you, you were going to be as indifferent as possible.
âHey pretty girl,â Rhea greeted, smile beaming as always. She had finally found you backstage after youâd made it a point to not respond to some of her texts. It didnât seem like she was too upset or phased by that judging by the greeting sheâd given you.
âHey,â you responded with only a half-smile of your own. That was something she definitely picked up on, because you swore youâd never seen her face fall faster.
âAre you alright?â
âHm?â you hummed, dropping your attention back to your phone. Usually, she would have your full focus, but you were making every attempt to emphasize your feigned disinterest. âIâm fine, whatâs up?âÂ
Rhea used her thumb and forefinger to grip your chin and tilt it upwards, forcing your gaze towards her rather than your phone screen. Hastily, she studied your face as if she would be able to read your thoughts merely by doing so; with her eyes looking you over so intently, you felt your face heating up quickly.Â
âYou seem off,â she finally commented, her finger tracing along your jawline from your chin before finally dropping back down to her side. You immediately missed the feeling of her touch against your skin, but that was something you would have to subdue. One thing you noticed was that Rhea seemed genuinely concerned, her eyebrows downturned and the smile she always wore - around you at least - nowhere in sight.Â
âNo, Rhea, Iâm really okay,â you shrugged.Â
âThen why are you acting like you canât wait to get away from me?âÂ
Her bluntness shouldnât have come as a shock to you, but you were still taken aback when she asked so outright. While she usually oozed confidence, that seemed to be lost now. And it almost made you think you had been right about the two of you all along. But then you remembered how content she looked in those videos with Samantha, and how easily she could flirt with someone else when you had secretly been turning down advances in hopes there would be a real chance at a relationship between you and Rhea.Â
âIâm not acting like that. I really donât care if youâre around or not,â you lied, and it was meant to sound nonchalant and unbothered but you silently cursed yourself for making it come out more aggressively.Â
âYou donât care?â she repeated incredulously, almost in disbelief of how drastically you changed. Just a few days ago, you were telling her how much you adored her smile with her head in your lap. Now, she couldnât figure out why you wanted nothing to do with her - and it was crushing her.Â
âListen, can we please talk about this later? The showâs about to start and the Judgment Day is up first, I donât want you thinking about this out there.âÂ
âAre we really gonna talk later?â Rhea questioned. âOr is that your cop out to avoid it altogether?â
And you hated her for knowing you so well, because it was partially your dread of the conversation. Still, you didnât think it was a good idea to have it right before she was slated to go speak in front of thousands of people. At this point, she was frowning, yet still staring right through you.Â
âWeâll talk,â you promised.
âI have your word? Whateverâs going on is important to me. It really is, Y/N.âÂ
The resolve of indifference you had was all but faded upon hearing how sincerely Rhea cared. You didnât want to be just another game for her, but it was proving far too difficult for you to ignore your internal feelings. And she looked too pretty standing there, worried about you and looking at you in a way that made you feel naked beneath her eyes. Not in a sexually demanding way - not in the way too many people do - but in a way where you felt like she saw your very soul.Â
âFind me after the show?â you asked. âIâll let you take me back to the hotel. Canât exactly hide from my ride.âÂ
You finally smiled wholeheartedly after making that joke, and Rhea had never been so happy to see a smile before. For a moment, she felt like everything was fine.Â
âYeah, Iâll find you, angel.â
-
From backstage, you watched as Rhea walked out with the Judgment Day and cut a promo just as good as any other, if not better. It was impossible to tell the kind of conversation you two had shortly beforehand, and for that you were grateful. You werenât sure you could remain as unphased as her, and seeing as you had a match tonight as well, you made it a point to avoid any further interactions with her during show hours. Busying yourself with your phone, Rhea still found a way to affect you when you saw her name flash across the top of your screen, indicating a text.Â
From: rhea :)Â
Good luck tonight â€ïž
Half inclined to simply leave her on delivered, you hesitantly opened it and sent back a âthanks.â Following the Judgment Dayâs segment, the rest of the show seemed to go by quickly, your own match fast approaching. While you were waiting in gorilla to make your entrance, you saw flashes of jet black hair out of the corner of your eye. A subtle glance over revealed it to be Rhea, naturally, standing there talking with Damian. Call it coincidence, or - the more likely case - call it Rheaâs tendency to be methodical with her actions. And like clockwork, her eyes met your own, leaving you no time to look away before she was grinning at you slyly. You thought perhaps her getting into character in front of the WWE Universe took away much of the previous unease and disappointment she felt during your earlier conversation. Because before, she seemed well and truly worried about the state of you, and you were sure she still was to some extent, but now her confidence had returned.Â
You had hardly any time to process it before you had to walk out, your theme hitting just as Rhea set her focus back on the man in front of her. That stupid, beautiful smile you thought to yourself. Right now, though, you needed to worry about your match against Zoey Stark, especially since you knew Rhea would be watching attentively.Â
Once the match began, you fell right back into your element. Zoey was a fierce opponent, but you had a fire beneath you and after a well-fought match on both sides, you came out victorious. You were feeling extremely proud of both yours and Zoeyâs performance and partially hoped Rhea had watched the whole thing.
(She absolutely did).Â
Returning backstage, you noticed Rhea was now nowhere in sight. Your match was towards the last hour of Raw, however, which meant you wouldnât have much time to kill before youâd have to meet up with her anyways. Thankfully, you found Liv, one of your closest friends on the roster, and knew you could spend the remaining time talking with her about anything and everything - the primary topic of discussion being you and Rhea.
âItâs just like, I think things are different with me and her,â you began, to which Liv nodded in agreement. âBut then I see how she acts with other people, and Iâm not so sure. Am I being delusional for thinking that way?âÂ
âYouâd be delusional if you thought otherwise! The girl is a flirt, sure, but she practically fawns over you at any given moment and is always asking about you,â Liv countered. All too often, sheâd be the one Rhea would come to when she wanted to find out your whereabouts, as if Liv had a constant read on you at all times. You knew that to be true, but it still wasnât total reassurance.
âYouâre right, I guess. And I kinda told her Iâd ride with her to the hotel so we could talk, sooo,â you revealed.
âI thought we were riding together?â Liv questioned, only slightly upset to be losing her driving buddy. If she had to make that sacrifice to advance things between you and Rhea, sheâd accept it wholeheartedly. Just as you opened your mouth to apologize, someone elseâs voice interrupted. A certain Australian accent.Â
âIâm sorry, did I steal Y/N away for the night?â Rhea quipped, placing her hand on the small of your back where Liv wouldnât see.Â
âActually, Iâm willingly handing her over so that you two can figure your mess out.âÂ
âWell, thank you so very much for that,â Rhea smiled, seeming genuinely appreciative. She redirected her attention from Liv to you. âTold you Iâd find ya. You ready to go?âÂ
You glanced down at your phone, not even realizing how much time had passed with you and Liv chatting. The show was nearing the end, and Rhea already had her bag by her side, meanwhile you hadnât even gotten your stuff together yet.
âI gotta go get my stuff real quick. You wanna wait here for me? Iâll be quick.â
âI can wait,â Rhea nodded, to which you took off with a promise to be no more than ten minutes. Once you were out of earshot, Liv had a few comments for the taller, raven-haired woman.
âI hope you do right by her.â
âDidnât realize Iâd done wrong,â Rhea retorted, confusedly. â...Have I done wrong?âÂ
Liv only shrugged, though she really did believe Rhea was unaware of how sheâd unintentionally hurt you. âNothing that canât be fixed, I think.âÂ
âLiv,â Rhea started, her face becoming more serious. âI really like her.âÂ
âThen make sure she knows that.âÂ
-Â
When you gathered everything and found your way back to Rhea, Liv was long gone and Rhea was leaned against the wall, her eyes shifted down and transfixed on her phone as she absentmindedly scrolled through Twitter. She looked too good even just standing there in her own world. But before you could admire her for much longer, she heard you approaching and glanced up from her phone, shoving it into her pocket immediately upon realizing it was you.
âReady now, princess?â
The nickname rolled off her tongue so easily, yet it had your cheeks heating up within seconds. You nodded, following behind as she led the way to her car. Outside, she popped the trunk for each of you to toss your bags inside, and then she made sure to open the passenger door for you as well; it was the little gestures like that that made your heart flutter and your feelings for her to grow even stronger.Â
âWell, I just wanna start by saying you were amazing tonight,â Rhea complimented once she had settled into the driverâs seat.Â
âThank you,â you giggled. âYou watched it?âÂ
âFrom start to finish, like always.â
She diverted her attention from the road towards you for a moment, taking notice of how much your face lit up after hearing that. And it wasnât like she was lying just to make you feel good, either, because she did genuinely watch you each time you stepped into the ring, and she admired you heavily.Â
âI donât believe you,â you laughed, although you only slightly meant that.Â
âIâm serious! Ask Damian or Dom, theyâll vouch,â Rhea exclaimed, pushing her hair back as she did. You werenât quite sure what to say now, because one, you were feeling quite flustered knowing this, and two, you could only ignore the real reason you were sat in her car for so long. She took note of your silence and decided to tackle the subject head-on, a brazen move from her as always. âYou donât seem like you hate my guts now, at least.âÂ
You rolled your eyes and chuckled at this.Â
âYouâre being dramatic. I never acted like I hated you.âÂ
âSlightly detested my presence?â she tried again, clearly joking at this point. While things seemed so perfect in this moment, you couldnât help but think back to everything youâd seen flooding your Twitter timeline and how silly youâd felt for being so upset by it. As much as you liked Rhea, as much as it appeared she liked you, the harmless flirting had really gotten to you and forced you to reconsider much of what you thought. You werenât even quite sure how to ask everything you wanted to ask, and you were admittedly fearful of rejection. But the only thing worse than rejection is never knowing.Â
âWhat do you think about me, Rhea?âÂ
She was taken aback by this, you could tell, because she opened her mouth to speak several times but didnât let any words out. To her, it was because she didnât really know how to put it into words; there were so many things she thought about you, so many ways you made her feel, but it had been a confusing thing for her to navigate, unsure of your own feelings.
âI think youâre incredible, amazing in the ring, beautiful and kind but still assertive and badass,â she answered, hoping sheâd said all the right things. Truthfully, that was only a small fraction of what she thought regarding you, but she was still holding back. Livâs words repeated in her head, and she knew if she didnât make it clear tonight, she may never get that chance again.Â
âAnd what do you think about someone like Samantha, or Cathy?âÂ
You had caught her off guard again, the randomness of your question completely perplexing her. She hadnât a clue why either of those two would be relevant, because - in her eyes - she had already basically forgotten the silly interactions theyâd had. It still hadnât pieced together in her mind that you were even the slightest bit jealous.Â
âTheyâre great,â she stated plainly. âWhy?â
It was really now or never, you felt like. You had fed her pieces of the story, now she definitely wouldnât stop until you told her everything, which undoubtedly included your own feelings. Rhea was focused primarily on the road, but she made sure to spare glances your way every so often, and each time you arrived at a red light, that focus was solely on you. She wanted to both try to read your expression and show you she was really, truly listening and wanting to hear what you had to say.
âIâd be lying if I said I wasnât jealous,â you confessed.
âJealous?â she repeated, even more confused now than before. But she noticed the way you retreated into yourself, suddenly finding more interest in your fingers. You could no longer look her in the eye, feeling nervous about the information youâd now divulged. This certainly didnât deter Rhea, though, as she placed her right hand on your thigh and traced light circles with her thumb. âWhy were you jealous?â
âI donât knowâŠit was dumb, I guess. I just saw the videos of you and Samantha, and then Cathyâs Tweets, and it made me feel like everything is just a game to you.âÂ
Her thumb movement stopped, and instead she squeezed your thigh lightly, causing you to lift your head back up to look at her. She was already looking right back, admiring how beautiful you looked with the moonlight creeping into the car and a shyness about you she wasnât used to.Â
âYouâre right, that is dumb,â she affirmed. âBecause do you think I know Samantha or Cathyâs top three favorite movies? Or their specific Starbucks order? The way they like their pizza? Do you think Iâve memorized all those things for anyone other than you?âÂ
Before you could answer, Rhea moved her fingers to your wrist and asked you to push up your sleeve, which you did. She tapped directly on a birthmark of yours without even looking.Â
âDo you think I know each of their freckles and birthmarks?âÂ
You were dumbfounded, at a loss for words with how much she really noticed about you. And that was only scratching the surface. While your flirtation had only started within the last few months, she had known you for years and had plenty of time to take notice of all these little things no one else would. Because she always had a soft spot for you, but you were in a long-term relationship for most of the time youâd known her, and she would never be one to overstep any boundaries.Â
âI just felt hurt thinking I may be falling for someone who only sees me as another person to mess around with,â you told her, taking note of how gentle her eyes were in this moment. She felt awful that she had hurt you, even unintentionally, and cursed herself for not being more aware and mindful. You werenât committed to each other, but she still felt like she had made a mistake engaging in any kind of behavior that would make her feelings for you seem misguided.Â
âY/N, I promise you how I interact with just about anyone else is entirely me in character,â she comforted. âIâm sorry for making you second guess that, but Iâve never felt realer emotions than I do with you. Itâs like I can be me, just me. And I love that you make me feel that way.â
âI love when youâre just you, Rhea.âÂ
âThen Iâll keep being just me, if I can start calling you just mine.âÂ
Rhea was undoubtedly nervous asking you so boldly, but she was so damn happy to do so. She was staring at you hopefully, looking happier than youâd seen her since her WrestleMania win. And you were just as happy, not even realizing you had gotten to the hotel and had been parked for a minute or two now. Your entire focus was on her, eyes filled with adoration while she waited for your answer.
âIâve basically been yours, I just needed you to be mine,â you beamed.Â
âIâm yours, love,â Rhea affirmed. âYou are so damn beautiful.âÂ
You wanted to instinctively look away, still feeling flustered even after the months of flirting and now technically being in a defined relationship. But Rhea knew you too well and gripped your chin before you could do so, keeping your face towards hers. Neither of you could get rid of the smiles you wore, too overwhelmed with happiness and adoration and love.Â
âCan I kiss you?â Rhea asked, eyes darting from your own to your lips. You nodded, and that was all it took for her to be all over you. Her lips melted into your own, and everything felt so right. Each time you pulled away, you were reconnected within seconds, physically unable to keep apart, both of you awaiting this moment for too long. You felt her smiling into the kiss, which in turn made you smile, and then you were two smiling, giggly messes. Finally, she pulled away for good (but not without one final peck) and laughed when she saw you pouting. She opened her door and made her way to yours hastily, scooping you out of your seat before you could even react. Then, you were pinned against the car with your legs around her waist.Â
âIâll take you to your room?â she offered, placing feathery kisses along your jaw.Â
âMy room?âÂ
She laughed at how offended you sounded. âOur room?â
âMhmm,â you confirmed. âYouâre not getting away from me now, Ripley.â
You unhooked your legs from her waist and she carefully released her hold, allowing you to plant your feet back onto the solid ground. She followed you to the back of the car, popping open the trunk; you leaned forward to reach your bag, and Rhea - sly as ever - took this opportunity to smack your ass, only light enough to be a tease. Once youâd grabbed your bag and stood straight up, she was smirking, all too aware of her actions.Â
âNow why would I want to get away from you, baby?âÂ
From then on, you both knew youâd be stuck with each other, practically inseparable and surely obnoxiously in love around all your friends - which they didnât really mind, because seeing you so happy together was more than worth it. Rhea made sure to tone down her persona a bit out of respect for you, even though you reassured her you didnât mind too much now knowing she was yours at the end of the day. Still, you couldnât deny that you were more elated to scroll through your socials and see videos of interactions between you and Rhea rather than her and anyone else; and it definitely helped that she loved letting the cameras know you were hers.

Hello!!I want to start off with the fact that i ABSOLUTELY LOVE your art!!The way you draw characters is amazing,you draw them nearly the same as i hc them
I was scrolling through your blog (the art is beautiful please dont ever stop) and i saw some anons complaining and insulting you for drawing some characters (mainly characters from natlan and sumeru) with different shades of skin.While i dont know much about this topic i just wanted to share my opinion.
Sumeru is based off of middle east,the majority of which has tanned skin (but its very mixed from what i know!).Natlan is based off of a lot of places (which is honestly another sign of racism in my opinion)I myself am from Turkey which can count as both middle east AND Europe (even turkish people dont know what we count as).I have a lot of middle eastern friends as well (Iran,Iraq,Sauda Arabia,SyriaâŠ) and they are brown or tanned and one of them is white!
i saw a lot of people say that ânot every character needs to be black/brownâ and i answer this with not every character has to be white.White,brown,black,asian,native american and every other race exists and every race deserves to be respected.No race should be insulted for wanting representation.No race should be seen as outcasts either.Wether that be white or black,no one deserves to feel like they are not fine the way they are.
I myself hc Zhongli as pale as a ghost to indicate that he is a god (as being pale is associated with being a superior being in chinese culture).I hc Xiao as tanned due to him spending all his time,day and night,fighting monsters.I hc Neuvilette has slightly blue-ish skin bc hes the hydro sovereign.I hc as black bc i like him that way.I hc Alhaitham as brown and so many more characters.Nobody would want to play a game in which there is no diversity.Diversity helpes the characters feel more real and gives them character depth.Diversity helps make Teyvat feel more real,like Earth itself.
But anyways this is just my opinion,i would love to learn more and hear everyoneâs opinions.And if someone doesnt like your art they should just block you if they dont want to see itđ€·ââïž Your art is amazing though so please dont mind those buffoons đ
Sorry it this got too long or complicated.English isnt my first language and im still learning
And dont even get me started on the body shapes of the characters
Hii !! Thank you so much ! đđđ
Yesss I completely agree with you !
And if I can be honest, I wasn't aware of this question of representation and diversity before Genshin Impact. Once, I saw a fanart with someone making a white character black, and in all of my ignorance, I was wondering why (a genuine question). So I asked my friend her thought (because I love hearing her opinions) and she makes me aware about representation in media, and issues they are facing to. And, wow, I learnt a lot ! Maybe it is a bit silly but, I always tend to focus on canon content, and all my HC was around interactions or their behaviour, and I never thought about their body appearance HC. And since I learnt that, my creativity developed a new skill ! So it is only recently I put HC on their physical appearance (like Sethos with dimples KKGEKDJS it ain't that much but it is fun, I guess HC on physical appearance is not my domain)
But it is thanks to Genshin, a game about exploring a whole world with diversity lore in each region, and what representation Hoyoverse used for making their game that I started to be into it. So yes, there is a lot of problem in genshin, making some rep worst. But without this, I wouldn't be able to learn more about SWANA culture with a thread I read on Dehya Nilou Tighnari Faruzan, Japan with Wanderer, Chinese with Yun Jin or recently on Hawai'i with Mualani and even on France United Kingdom with Emilie (i think I also read a thread about GaMing too...?). And what a surprise, I am close to France and UK but I never knew about Emilie's inspiration. Not only on character but also lore, and how some desert name in genshin is also part of culture (I don't remember where I read it tho !! Gosh i wish to reread it again).
I love genshin for its diversity whatever on region or lore but even on gameplay it offers us in our adventure. But I also agree on those who complain about character design ! Not only about representation, but about storytelling in character design (for example, you can't guess Xilonen is someone who forges ; her nails, accessories and hair would be on her way). And it happens that I receive some hate message (on tumblr and twitter. Mostly twitter) saying "this game is not for you, just leave" with some insults that I prefer to not share lol
I agree and also disagree. What do you mean this game is NOT for me ?? Searching our lost sibling, tragic lore, wholesome encounter, satisfying gameplay, vivid color landscape, with great characters, ALBEDO ??? Not for me ?! đ€š My love for genshin is immense. But, I agree on the fact that.. yes. Indeed, I am not the target for genshin character design. I played a lot of gacha game, and it is mostly based on collectioning waifu with big boobs and big ass (you were a great game, Epic Seven...). When I look at hater's account on twitter, there is a pattern : throwaway account, account full of problematic opinion, or full of porn 2d woman with the basic hourglasses morphology big boobs big butt even on characters who are flat. It is undeniable that most of genshin characters are sexualised, and this, for sell them better. And, making them white is one of criteria to sell them better to those type of client đââïž
I study sociology (i am a newbie tho, nothing deep) and I can extend this light analyse on what I learn : the success of Genshin, why there is such a contrast between Genshin players and their different profiles, the benefits Hoyoverse do and how difficult it is to satisfy all players (and so sacrifices are made, like characters design). It is all supposition tho BGKEJGJS but maybe if I do my last year of sociology and still into genshin, why not making my essay on it bahahaha
BACK TO THE TOPIC !!! (SORRY I HAD A LOT TO SAY) don't worry, since this anon hate, I tend to block everyone who try to argue or insult đ and just mostly shock how people are openly racist when they are behind a screen WOW lucky me I am not affected by those words â ïž and all of this just because I draw Kinich black skin or Xilonen with a bit more textured hair...? That's so crazy ! Anywaaaay diversity is great and it works also on creativity too !! World is boring if everything looks the same, and it is also the same in Genshin ! Imagine in 4 years, genshin only released mondstadt 1, mondstadt 2, mondstadt 3.... I believe the game would be dead sooner if it was the case bahaha
And thank you again for all your compliments about my art anon !! I love drawing so much, and it is my source of fun and happinness <3 There is in some drawings I thought "wow !!! I improve !!" And i am so happy when people notice it too! đđ
Don't worry abt your english, mine isn't the best neither BAHTVZJHGJZGAA

I see you would like Mk1 requests, I do have one but it's platonic! How about LKBS with their GN!Child who have discovered they have water based abilities? (It's inspired by a character called Valby! She has a unique ability that allows her to transform into water and swim about freely). She awoke her abilities after being attacked and crushed her enemies with the immense pressure of the water and where the lake once was, a mass of water in the shape of her was thrashing wildly. sorry for the rant, I just find the character really cool!
Tomas may be a bit shorter than the others but by then I felt like I was repeating the same things. Hope you enjoy anyway! Also not proofread because my eyes burnđ
Being a cyromancer himself, he expects for his kids to get some sort of ice abilitiesÂ
Water is close enoughÂ
Heâs not surprised by it. Maybe heâs a bit thrown off when the whole attack happens and he sees that theyâve turned into water, but overall heâs no surprised that his kid has these powersÂ
Heâs mostly pleased
Takes great pride in his kid also having unique abilities. If they were born powerless he wouldnât hate them, but heâd be like âdamnâ
Most important part to him is training them so they have control of their abilitiesÂ
Welcome to Bi-Hanâs Boot Camp For The Enhanced-
Around the clock trainingÂ
âThis is too much-â hey do you want control of your powers or do you want your powers to control you? Exactly. Stop complaining
I can see him really pushing to see the extent of their powers. Is it actually just water? Ice? Steam? Can they manipulate water (like a waterbender) or do they always have to become the water?
Becomes borderline toxic but itâs for a good reason
Their powers are close so I can see a training exercise being him throwing icicles at them and they have to turn it to waterÂ
Yall ever seen those people toss babies in a pool to teach them how to swim? Thatâs him
âWow dad, the view up here is so pretty. The water looks beautiful. Hey why are we-â âdonât belly flopâ âI beg your pardon?â
Shoved
Listen, he gotta see how much water they can turn into. A pond? A lake? An ocean?
Heâs for sure raising a little Ming Hua (LOK character) (a bad bitch)
Kuai Liang wouldnât expect this because heâs a pyromancer
What he expected was for his kid to be able to manipulate fire. Not water.
I feel like when the attack happens his first thought is if his kid is gonna be okay. When water just starts smacking mfs out of nowhere and he realizes his kid has turned into literal water, heâs a bit shockedÂ
Heâs not disappointed they canât manipulate fire. Heâs just genuinely confused about how these powers work and why at that moment they decided to work instead of any other time before
Honestly I think every brother would take training seriously because having their own powers, they know that you have to have them under controlÂ
They also all have the same occupation so making their reactions different is a lil tricky ngl
I will say tho, I think his training might include putting out fires he creates
Theyâre not a firefighter but in his mind, it teaches them to think and move fast
Wants to test if they can make only a part of their body water or if it has to be their whole body
I can see him trying to see if he can teach them how to do some of his moves but with waterÂ
Like how he burnt those stone people after scrapping with Shao Khan. Can they do that, but with water. Either by manipulating water or just becoming water and being able to take out that many enemies in one movementÂ
âThey did it before!â yeah but can they do it without being angry? Can they control it? Thatâs what heâs tryna see
Overall, he's happy for them but I can see him back seating them from any missions until they have the shit under control
I won't repeat that when the attack happens, he's a bit shook. Let's just speed past thatÂ
Now, considering he does the smoke shit, I think he could help a lot more than people thinkÂ
He can become a puff of smoke, so he has experience with this whole âI'm no longer in human formâ type shitÂ
I imagine it takes a lot of focus to actually do something like that, so he'd be able to helpÂ
Also I think since he can do all that, he'd help them think outside the box. I imagine when he's a puff of smoke, he can feel that the air has water too. He'd try to see if they can grab at the water in the air as wellÂ
Y'all know how Hama was telling Katara to look for water everywhere? It'd be like that. Just minus the bloodbendingÂ
Training could be fun lowkey. It'd be like tag. A puff of some tryna catch this thing of waterÂ
He has smoke bombs and shit so maybe he'd try to see if they can make weapons that incorporate their whole water thingÂ
Another training exercise I can think of is him putting smoke down and seeing if they can pick up the water in it? Am I making sense?
I just think he could help a lot more than people expect him too
And obviously he's proud of his kid for getting these powersÂ
But like his brothers, he knows you gotta get your shit down cause if you don't you become a liability
So like them, he takes training them very seriously
He makes sure to praise them on what theyâre doing right and remind them of how much progress theyâve made
Tomas they could never make me hate you

"Does she know?" Lo'akâs tone became serious for a moment. "No, not yet. Iâll tell her about that when the time comes. " "Our father will skin you alive,bro" said the youngest. " ProbablyâŠ" The conversation turned to the end.
You had taken a basket of Spartan fruit and steamed Teylu; you would have liked to hear the conversation between Lo'ak and Neteyam but most of the words were a mix of Na'vi and that language you couldnât understand. When you were ready you came out of the hut, you looked at the boys with a slight blush on your face. "I took what I came looking for⊠please, take the waterâŠ" You whispered with a thread of voice as you passed the two boys. You could see out of the corner of your eye that Neteyam had tried to touch your elbow when you passed in front of him, but he retracted his hand after his brotherâs gaze fell on him. You didnât give much importance to this detail, taking it for granted that he had made this choice in order not to make you feel further uncomfortable with his brother. When you returned to your familyâs hut you noticed that your mother and Neytiri kept talking about some strange event they had faced when they were young; Jake arguing with your dad about warrior stuff while the one you recognized as Tuk and Kiri were talking to each other. You put the basket on the table and then you were invited by the little one to sit with her and her sister, at the beginning you were reluctant to approach them but then you had the courage to sit down with them; Kiri hadnât looked at you most of the night while Tuk was anxious to meet you.
"Iâm Tuktirey! Youâre Neteyamâs friend, arenât you? Your hair is so beautiful, wow!" the voice of the little girl was ringing but pleasant to listen to as she touched some of your braids, admiring the small jewels that were wedged between them. "I love your clothes and your jewelry! You are really beautiful, y/n!" she continued, making genuine and sincere appreciations on every part of you, only to be stopped by Kiri who could feel your slight embarrassment as you thanked little Tuk. "Tuk, if you keep this up, sheâs gonna run like a hawk" said the girl who must have been about your age, as she touched Tukâs braids, making her peel off slightly from you. "I am Kiri, but I think you know us at least by name, Neteyam never misses the opportunity to talk about us" her eyes rolled as if she already knew that 100% he had done it, in fact she was right. "Coincidentally he did it just today, Itâs not like we had a lot of time together outside of class hours or formal events," you bit the corner of your mouth slightly as your eyes fell on the floor. Kiri noticed that there was something deeper, but remained silent to not make you uncomfortable, after all she had just met you.
At that moment the two young Sullys also entered the hut with some Dapophet leaves that contained the water all of you would need for the long night. The lanterns that were placed inside the hut began to light up with the arrival of the eclipse of the day, while the two boys took their seats near you and the two sisters.
Neteyam sat between you and Tuk, often holding her when she needed the affection of his older brother. You found out that Tuk was particularly close to Neteyam, you could tell by how she whined at the thought of going back to the Omatikaya clan without her brother, and how she complained that Lo'ak couldnât braid her hair like Neteyam, or by her laments for how Lo'ak always prohibited her from following him into the woods. It softened you the dynamic between them, you could see yourself so much in Tuk, at least 'the old you', the one a little rebellious and mischievous, but endured by the older sister. You also laughed at the way Lo'ak was reprimanded by Kiri when he said something extremely stupid or when he appeared in the stories as a powerful warrior. After a long time you felt happy, you no longer had the burden of thinking about tomorrow or your duties, In one night, your shoulders shook thanks to those who until last month considered 'demons'. The thing that left you most enchanted was how Neteyam smiled and tried to keep all three brothers quiet, almost like a father to them. When it came your turn to speak you found yourself bickering with Neteyam, as he was too modest to be complimented on his skills or improvements; Sometimes you two find complaining and contradicting eachother about some funny scenes that happened while you were training, like the fact that he almost drowned that morning while trying to stay under the water as long as possible.
Suddenly Tuk opened her mouth to talk, drawing your attention. "Neteyam, you and y/n are mated? Becaus-" Lo'ak plugged Tukâs mouth with Teylu, getting a tender pout from the little girl. "Tuk, youâre talking too much, eat something" Lo'ak said embarrassed as Neteyam blushed and looked slightly away as he scratched the back of his head. "No, just friends. Weâre just friends, Tuktirey" you said smiling, while Lo'ak held back a smile that was certainly containing a laugh. Your eyes shook him in the moment, while Kiri had managed to connect the dots in her mind. Kiri looked first at Neteyam and then at you, noticed how the brother swallowed in embarrassment and tried to hide the blush on his cheeks, and how you looked at Lo'ak badly for his expression and embarrassed smile. The marks on Neteyamâs chest and the small scratches behind his back, and then he noticed some hickeys in the upper thigh and closer to your intimacy. She nodded in silence, while a dark veil covered her face after realizing, feeling bad for you, since most likely you did not know yet. "Friends? You seem so close though" Tuk said with his mouth still full, as Lo'ak sighed with relief as he hadnât mentioned that little detail that only Neteyam could have told you. "is because I am his Karyu, in this month he spent more time with me because of the lessons that with the other Na'vi of the village" Neteyamâs head nodded agreeing.
The evening continued along the same lines: funny stories, Tuktirey insisting that you and Neteyam were a couple, Lo'ak and Neteyam trying to silence her in their strange language and Kiri maybe contemplating death and then talking to you gently. Towards the end of the evening, the Sullys went to sleep in Neteyamâs hut, as they would leave the next day late in the afternoon. You were happy to have met the Sullys, you had discovered how they were simply Na'vi with their flaws and merits; it made you laugh as Jake seemed so trained when Neytiri spoke over him or corrected his grammar, you found them tender⊠Now that you were lying in the part of the hut dedicated to you, you couldn't help but smile as you looked out of the window hole, still lying on your carpet, talking quietly to the stars and the wind. This was something you often did when you needed to vent both positively and negatively, it made you feel so close to your sister, and you hoped she would hear you tell her about your experience with the Sullys. A gentle breeze came into your room and made you smile, thinking it was Ney'nariâs answer, interpreting that breeze as your sisterâs encouragement to move on and continue to bond with that family you were afraid of before and disgusted with.
"Y/n⊠y/n, are you awake?" a voice coming from outside made you get up from the ground and look out the window, and then notice Neteyam looking for something on the ground, as to hit the window to attract your attention. "Iâm awake. What are you doing here at this hour?" you said noting the late hour. Neteyamâs face rose and smiled as he looked out the window. "I told you, I canât sleep if you donât say good night, Ma TanhĂŹ," his voice was slightly lowered, so as not to attract the attention of sleepers in the village. He approached your window, albeit slightly higher from where he was. "Skxawng, go to sleep. If they found you there they would skin you" you whispered, trying to make your voice heard only to him. You had to hold back a smile for that gesture as foolish as it was sweet, which had particularly impressed you. "Then say good night, so I have quiet dreams." His eyes chained to yours, watching the little smile that was born on your face. "Goodnight, 'Teyam," you said quietly as you put your cheek on the palm of your hand, noting how happy and uplifted Neteyam seemed after your words. "Good night, ma eywa," you blushed when he called you "Eywa," you didnât expect it and he knew it. He looked up to you as you smiled like a carefree child thanks to him. After seeing you smile like this, he would surely have had more than golden and serene dreams.
Your gaze fell on him again, his eyes open as he watched you as if you were his entire universe, so much love in those golden eyes that made you blush and smile. You looked at each other in silence for a few minutes, while he was mimicking you with sweet words that you could understand even without hearing his voice. "ma eywa, sweet dreams⊠nga yawne lu oer" The boyâs voice made all the love and adoration he felt for you, making you smile. You sent him a kiss with your hand, which he took theatrically and carried to his heart, doing the same with you before leaving. Now your back was leaning just below the window, while your hands were resting on your chest, at heart level, squeezing that flying kiss that Neteyam had left you. Neteyam had become the cure you needed after all the years you spent hiding your unhappiness from the world; small gestures like these simply brought you closer to that precipice that was love. You should have been afraid, you were a woman already mated for years, soon the rite of Tsaheylu with Tul'pey would have come, but your mind was poisoned by Neteyam. You fell asleep with a sweet smile on your face, asking Eywa to pass the night quickly so that you could see Neteyam again as soon as possible, you were already missing his sweet touch and scent.
Eywa welcomed you into the dream world and granted your wish, bringing the morning quickly. When your eyes opened, the rays of the two suns hit your face, and for the first time it didnât even bother you. You got out of bed with a smile on your face and when your parents saw you so sunny they were strangled, they smiled at you and you needed some berries and fruits that they had gone to get from the shed. "Ma'ite, today you shine more than the suns." Your fatherâs voice made you smile and nod as you savored the sweet juice of the Yovo fruit. "Itâs true, what delights your heart so much, ma'ite? We havenât seen you like this for years." Your mother continued, before passing a hand through your braids and giving you a maternal smile. It was true, Ney'nariâs death had marked you in everything: the smiles were false and if they were true you noticed with how much weakness you held them in face; your character more off and calm to emulate that of your sister, totally making you another person; the way you seemed to sprinkle joy and tranquility made them think for a moment that their sweet, rebellious and old y/n was back. "Itâs just a beautiful day, no big deal." You whispered with slight blush on your cheeks as you squinted under your motherâs caresses.
After breakfast, you changed your clothes and rushed out of your hut, hoping to see Neteyam soon. You arrived in front of his hut and welcomed by Tuk, who had apparently just woken up, but did not deprive you of her sweet welcoming smile. "Looking for Neteyam? he went to the village with Lo'ak a little while ago" Her sleepy voice made her even more tender, made you think if Neteyam had the same tenderness as a child. " Thank you Tuktirey" You answered her and then laid a hand on her head, slightly upsetting her braids, while she laughed softly. You thanked Tuk before going to the center of the village to look for the two brothers. You met Lo'ak right away, and he seemed quite insistent on not letting you go looking for Neteyam, not understanding why he was so ambiguous. "Lo'ak, please, let me go find Neteyam" you said gently, repeating yourself several times before abruptly departing from him, following the sound of two voices, one of which sounded vaguely like Neteyamâs. Once you got to where the voices came from, you could distinguish Neteyamâs shoulders and back, but not with whom he was speaking, even though the female voice was unequivocal. "Shit, I tried to stop herâŠ" Lo'ak said once he reached you, spinning Neteyam and showing the figure of a beautiful and tall Na'vi, with long black braids adorned with feathers and flowers typical of the forest; Her clothes were obviously well-made, and you could tell she was of a high status other than that she was definitely a warrior. Your eyes passed from her to Neteyam, failing to understand who Na'vi was close to him.
"Who's she?" Your voice was slightly absent as you looked Neteyam in the eye, looking for sincere answers, but reading only embarrassment and fear in those golden pools. "'Teyam, w-who is she?" you repeated again, not understanding why he didnât answer right away, and why he wasnât reassuring you "MaTanhÏ⊠she isâŠ" His voice was broken as he searched for words he could not find. Your heart beat in your throat as you felt Lo'ak gently take you by the wrist, as if to take you away from there. "His mate. I am Reyin'al te Sxeke Ninat'iteâŠ" Replied proudly the woman who before was behind Neteyam and who now wrapped her hands around his arm. "⊠Tsakarem of the Omatikaya" The surprise crept into your gaze, your eyes widening in disbelief before the stark reality that was revealed before you. "Tsakarem of the OmatikayaâŠ" You yanked your wrist from Lo'akâs grip, as if to get rid of it. Your heart seemed to have stopped like your breath, your eyes that were before on the woman, now they returned to the face of Neteyam who did not have the courage to look at you.
All the happiness that was before in your body evaporated like water under the scorching sun, your eyes went out of disbelief and it hurt you that Neteyam now didnât even look you in the eye, giving you a tacit statement to what the girl had said. You would have wanted him to say 'No, itâs a misunderstanding' or something to cheer you up, but he didnât. You searched in vain for his gaze for endless seconds, and then you tightened your jaw and nodded at the Na'vi who answered you, and then you turned around and left as your heart fell apart. You heard footsteps behind you following you, but you didnât turn around for a second, because you knew if the steps were Neteyamâs, you would collapse in front of him. You found yourself immersed in a whirlwind of emotions as you ran away from him, a tumultuous tornado that tore your soul apart. A wave of pain swept over you, like a fist to the chest that left you breathless. Your heart, first filled with joy, broke into a thousand pieces, leaving a deep wound burning inside you while. The feeling of emptiness warmly welcomed you, as if something essential had been ripped from you. Anger enveloped you like a burning fire, a flame that blazed in the depths of your being. The bitterness is mixed with tears running across your face, cursing you for not being strong enough to hold them. The confusion struck you, and along with it the overlapping questions in your mind, looking for an answer that can make sense of what you heard. You felt lost in a maze of conflicting emotions, unable to find a way out. Sadness envelops you, a heavy mantle that oppresses you and makes you feel deaf to the words of the boy who was following you. Your world has fallen with such speed that even your certainties were dissolved.
A warm hand but too strong to be Neteyamâs kept you from running away. Once you turned to the owner of the hand you noticed that the person who followed you was Lo'ak, and a sense of desolation covered your face. "Y/n⊠I tried to-" Lo'akâs voice snapped when he noticed your shiny, slightly red eyes, immediately realizing he had no excuse. " He would have told you⊠he was waiting for the right moment." He said before he looked away from you, lest you feel uneasy at the tears that streaked your face without your will. You swelled your chest several times, trying to regain the gift of the word, which had been taken away from you by that storm of emotions that had exploded in you. " Isnât it too late for that? He had plenty of time to talk to me about her." Your broken voice made an idiot hear the boy in front of you, as if anything in his brotherâs defense would be in vain. "Y/n.. I understand, I tried to keep you from looking for Neteyam because of that, because I knew he wanted to talk to you first," he continued, letting go of your wrist. "If so, he would be in your place now." Your tone was sour and poisonous, to this statement of yours Lo'ak did not know how to respond without looking like a complete idiot.
He knew you were right, you were absolutely right to feel that way and to be angry. Before he snapped to follow you, the look of Neteyam watching you leave gave him the courage to do what his older brother couldnât. He was sure Neteyam would tell you, he wasnât a liar, you could trust him and his word, but Reyin'alâs sudden arrival had ruined all the plans. Neteyam had never loved Reyin'al, they had grown up together, known by the whole clan as the two strongest and most admirable warriors, Mo'at had paired them from an early age saying that their union would bring greatness to the Clan. Despite this, Neteyam had always seen Reyin'al more as a friend than a mate, he had grown up with the love stories of Neytiri and Jake and dreamed of meeting his soulmate like them. He had always felt too close in that relationship, so much so that he had never really tried to make it work, he wanted to try 'true love', fight to meet it and have a sweet ending like his motherâs. Neytiri had always supported his sonâs dream, clashing with Jake who agreed with the decision of the elderly Tsahik, reminding him several times that she was destined for another man but still chose her partner. And Neteyam had finally figured out how his mother felt about her father when he saw you, falling in love with you day by day.
"Just yesterday he was under my window, sending me kisses and sweet words, and thenâŠ. receiving this poisoned knife. Donât tell me youâre gonna tell me because I donât believe a word of it." You hissed before you walked away from Lo'ak, hearing him say something remotely like "Kenten mĂŹ kumpayâŠ" Blood was boiling in your veins for trusting him. The pain spread in you like a fire burning in your chest, a feeling of weight that oppresses your breath. Every beat of your torn heart seems to recall the bloody wound that made you lose your breath, a excruciating pain that spreads in every fiber of your being. Feeling you vulnerable as your knees found peace on the grass, near the precipice where it faced the sea.
A reluctant hand landed on your shoulder as you growled. "Lo'ak, go away." Your tone was high, it was releasing all the pain that was building up in you. "Ma TanhÏ⊠I-" You walk away from that delicate touch as if you were struck with burning iron when you realized that voice belonged to Neteyam and not to Lo'ak.
Neteyam had found the strength to follow you and his brother only after a few minutes of derealization and shame, but when he managed to reach you you were already gone and it was Lo'ak who showed him the way to find you. His remorseful look was on your back, hoping to see your face and explain the situation. "Go.away." You spelled it with clenched teeth, giving him your back as you wiped away tears that seemed not to want to stop coming out of your eyes. He swallowed, taking a long breath to start talking. "Ma TanhÏ⊠let me just explain, please" His voice was broken as he tried to explain himself, seeking your consent to speak. You rose from the ground and looked him in the eyes with contempt and disappointment, your shiny and slightly swollen eyes destroyed him more than your words could. You shook your hands in a fist to try to condense your anger as Neteyamâs gaze became increasingly guilty.
"Explain? What do you want to explain. You have a partner and you didnât tell me." Your words hit her skin like arrows. "You knew about Tul'pey, and you didnât tell me about that 'Reyin'al'." Your voice was filled with hate as you yelled at him against words that scratched his skin and soul. "I wanted to-" you stopped him with a wave of your hand, and then growled at him. " You lied. You lied and deceived me." Neteyamâs jaw twitched as he listened silently. "You made promises." You started pushing him backwards.
The tension was now palpable in the air, not the usual pleasant tension, a destructive and cramped. Your eyes burn with anger and disappointment, your hands hit hard on his chest making him back, trying to vent all his frustration and pain in one blow. Driven by the anger and wound that had crept into your heart, you struck his chest at other times, letting each blow be a cry of protest against his actions. Each punch, slap or push was accompanied by sharp words, screams of pain and growls that intertwined with your anger. But unlike Tul'pey, Neteyam accepted your desperate cry and took each blow in silence, letting you vent on his body if it would help you feel better. "I hate you. I hate you, Neteyam. I hate you with all my heart," you yelled at him in the face as you held back every tear, as your fingers sought a foothold on him, scratching his chest before pushing him again. He wanted to hug you and let you cry over him, but he understood that now your wound was still fresh and bleeding brutally.
"I want you to leave. Now. Never come back. Go away with your parents today. I donât want to see you again." You said to then walk away from him, while your hands were still shaking from the rush of emotion that passed through your body. "Go away. Take away your promises and your partner. I put myself at risk for youâŠ. and you ruined everything! " This time Neteyamâs hand approached you, and then was struck by your hand. "Everything I said, I really meant it. Every promise, every compliment, everything was true⊠She's not you. I never wanted her, I want you, ma TanhĂŹâŠ" Your eyes still looked at him with disgust as your heart betrayed you by beating so hard for those words. " You lied. Youâre a liar. I donât believe you." You answered with clenched teeth, before screaming to relieve the tension. "I didnât lie to you⊠please, ma TanhĂŹ, listen to me." His voice was broken as he tried to get close to you, being rejected. He felt guilty, he promised never to make you cry again, love you and make you happy, but now he was holding in his hands the pieces of your broken heart. "Go away. I said you have to go away!" You yelled at him, his eyes lowered to the ground. He didnât know whether to listen to your request and let you go or be deaf to your voice and insist on his position.
Neteyam took a deep breath, approaching you and taking your arms, looking you in the eye. "Ma TanhĂŹ, listen to me and if you want Iâll leave. I never wanted to be with Reyin'al, we have been mated all our lives, without choice. I fell in love with you, just you and every aspect of you. I feel horrible, a monster, seeing that I hurt you so much, it was not my intention⊠I swear to Eywa" A tear twisted Neteyamâs face and laid his forehead on yours. You took a deep breath, repressing all those feelings sent from your still bleeding heart and growled at him. " I would have told you, I swear, I would have⊠Reyin'al came unannounced and ruined everything, believe me. Let me fix this⊠I-" "Do not touch me. Donât touch me anymore." You said growling, then try to get away from his grip. "I'm begging.. Donât reject me" he whispered in a tone of voice that died in his throat and let all his pain shine through, but also the desire to keep you close. "Go to your partner. Just go." you made sure to spell the words, then feel his hands let go and hesitate before leaving. " Go. GO AWAY!" you yelled at him again, clenching your jaw and struggling with the conflicting feelings that were being born in you.
It was clear that Neteyam wanted to continue the speech, you could read it in his face: his shiny eyes that hesitated on your hands and then your eyes, as his jaw twitched, the way his tail sent you specific signals, or the way his voice died in his throat. He accepted your request and disappeared into the forest, while you dried your tears and your hands spoke the cold ground beneath you, as if to seek some comfort. You wanted him to stay, but at the same time you wanted him to leave; to kiss you, but you wanted to hurt him, to hear his words, but you were deaf. You spent a few hours in that place, letting nature embrace and welcome you, remembering that you could ask for advice and receive comfort from your sister by making Tsaheylu with one of the voices trees that was placed just a short distance from there. You needed guidance and someone who understood your emotions, so who better than your sister to help you figure out the way to go?

~~~~~~~~
"S-Solanaaaaaa! H-Heeyyyyy," Stan said nervously, avoiding eye contact with her completely. He was looking at every single spot but her eyes or her boobs, er, her body. Fuck.
"Wow. You really are a shy old guy," she giggled, covering her mouth a little. "This is why I didn't want to meet you so soon. I knew that you would start treating me differently immediately."
"N-No! I'm not!" Stan said quickly, looking into her eyes instantly when he spoke. "I just wasn't...expectin to...see ya so soon."
"Ah, so you weren't being a creepy stalker and this is just pure happenstance?" She joked, folding her arms across her chest which made the cleavage in the keyhole of her shirt push up.
Stan's eyes trailed down to her chest then swiftly back up at her face. "Yeah, exactly! Nothin crazy like that. My niece wanted to come here for uh...reasons that aren't important right now."
While Stan was talking, Solana was twirling her hair around her right index finger, which, again, pushed her boobs up into the keyhole even further. She was enthralled by how stacked Stan was in person. He looked like he worked out more than just a couple times a month. His stature was thick but tall of course. Couldn't have been shorter than 6'2. For an older man, that was certainly impressive.
A laugh suddenly came from Stan. "Who's the one eye fuckin who now?" he laughed once more.
Solana shot him a smirk before licking her lips subtly. "Look, I never said I was above doing it," she responded with a light shrug of her shoulders. "You certainly are sexy though. Pictures don't and never will do you justice. And the gold chain? Ooh," she shuddered before giggling.
Stan's entire face was red now. He didn't think she'd be so straightforward in person but she definitely did match his energy at least. He clenched his cane to keep himself tethered to what little bit of sanity he even had left from years of bullshit. She was so very beautiful so-
"Why are ya...so..."
"So...what?"
"Avoidant about bein seen?" he asked curiously.
"I told you. People start to treat me differently when they see me," she said, shrugging slightly.
"Why?" He was so confused about this entire concept. "Isn't it a good thing for a dame like you to get all the attention?"
"No. It's...different. Very different," she replied, a sad tinge to her tone.
Just as Stan was about to ask her another question, Mabel and Maze came shuffling over to him to show him a basket of treasures they found in the store so far.
"Grunkle Stan, Grunkle Stan!" Mabel squealed happily as she practically vibrated out of her skin. "Look, look!" she said, holding the shopping basket up to him.
"Those little trinkets are 50% off to the cutest kid in the store," Solana said matter of factly to Mabel with a genuine smile.
Mabel stopped in her tracks and slowly turned to look at Solana. "Shut...UP!!!!" She screamed excitedly, jumping now. "That's definitely me!!"
"We're literally twins," Maze chimed in, rolling his eyes.
"Fraternal!" Mabel reminded with a cheeky grin, twisting her index finger into her cheek.
"Well 50% off to everyone who's a twin!" Solana laughed.
"Hey, I'm a twin. Does that mean I get the discount too?" Stan chuckled.
"Hmm...I'm gonna need proof of that statement," she said as she squinted at Stan, not truly believing him.
"Hold on!" Mabel said as she pulled out her phone and started looking through her massive collection of pictures. Selfies specifically. She scrolled furiously until she found a selfie with her, Maze, Ford, and Stan. She showed Solana the picture and Solana bent down slightly to look at the screen.
"Oooh, okay. He wasn't lying. Two identically handsome men. Interesting," Solana mused with a purse of her lips as she peeked at Stan out the corner of her eye briefly. "Discounts across the board then!" She nodded and turned to the twins to get a good look at them.
"You two are actually adorable. Like actually," Solana complimented.
"Thank yooouuuuu!" Mabel said gratefully. Meanwhile, Maze was hiding behind his hair, blushing furiously. Mabel nudged him. "Say thank you," she grumbled to him quietly.
"T-Thank you," he murmured shyly as he shoved his hands into his pockets so he couldn't fidget anymore.
"Uh, kids. Are you done shoppin or do ya need more?" Stan asked them. He really just wanted to be alone with Solana for a moment longer.
"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." Mabel droned as she leaned her head back to think.
"You seem like the type of girl to enjoy a good mini cat figurine," Solana surmised. "Am I right?"
Mabel looked up at Solana with big eyes. "Yes..." She said in a serious tone that showed just how excited she was.
"Aisle 21." Solana gave her a sweet smile as Mabel grabbed Maze and drug him over to the exact aisle that was mentioned.
Stan was impressed with how well she handled the kids. She was so motherly and kind. His heart started racing at the thought of her genuinely being interested in him. Her motherly tendencies did something for him. Did he have mommy issues? Fuck.
"You think a lot, don't you?" Solana asked, breaking Stan's train of thought. "Allow me to remedy that," she cooed as she walked closer to him. "May I?" She motioned with her hands that she was asking to touch him.
He couldn't do anything but freeze in place once she moved closer. "Y-Yeah," he stammered, nodding quickly.
Solana smiled at him then stretched up onto her tippy toes to place a kiss at the corner of his mouth, leaving behind a bit of the lip gloss she had on. "Better?" she asked.
Stan had a love stricken expression written plain as day across his face when he processed the kiss. "Yeah. Better," he said in a dreamy voice.
"You're so cute," Solana chuckled. "Haven't you been married before?"
"Nah, I...I got dangerously close but it didn't pan out. It's fine though," Stan said, brushing it off. He didn't want to talk to his new flame about his old flames. Felt weird.
"Something tells me it isn't fine but I'll let it be. For now." She turned to the mess on the ground behind them and began to pick the stuff up. She crouched down and put everything back on the lower shelves from where they fell, humming as she did so.
Stan looked around, not knowing what to do or say to her at this point. He was going to speak but a voice boomed through the store. He groaned in frustration at being interrupted for the millionth time with her.
"Solana!" the voice yelled. "Where are you?"
She sighed and murmured under her breath before standing back up and flattening out her clothes. "Yes, Chip?" she called out, walking past Stan to the end of the aisle where she knew he was going to be.
A lanky, lightly tanned man with perfectly coiffed hair and a pair of black sunglasses walked up to Solana. Even though he had the sunglasses on, you can still tell he was looking at her in a way that would make anyone, woman or not, uncomfortable as hell.
"You look good today," he said with a shit eating grin. "Loving the new and improved uniform on you. What you did with it is so...mmm! You know?" he said to her quietly.
"Chip, I don't have time for you right now. I have a store to run. Your store. You know. The one you opened?" She said as she rolled her eyes at him. "Why are you even here today? You come in on Sundays and Wednesdays. It's literally Saturday."
"I gotta be honest. I wanted to see you," he said, holding his hands up in defense, still smiling that stupid smile.
"Well good for you because I definitely don't want to see you," She said as she turned to walk away from him before he grabbed her arm. Almost immediately, Stan was standing between the two of them, towering over Chip and facing him.
"The lady said she doesn't wanna be bothered. Ya better leave 'er alone or I'll have to intervene," Stan said, standing directly in front of Solana to protect her from even being looked at by that disgusting...
"And who are you?" Chip asked, looking up at Stan, never once dropping that smile.
"He's my boyfriend and he doesn't take lightly to someone touching me," Solana said quickly.
Stan faltered slightly, not expecting her to say that so freely. He immediately regained his composure and looked at Chip sternly, his eyebrows flat, mouth set in a hard line. He wasn't about to show weakness to this...this dickhead.
"Boyfriend? You never mentioned that," Chip said, adjusting his glasses. "Kinda old."
"She doesn't have to," Stan said curtly, cutting him off and leaving no room for ifs, ands, or buts about it. "Leave."
Chip tried to peek around Stan's large shoulders to see Solana but Stan blocked every advance he tried to make.
"I said, leave," he said in a much more firm tone as he leaned down closer to Chip's face.
Chip threw his hands up in defeat. "This is my store after all. I'll definitely be back. Don't you worry about it." He kept that same smile on his face as he turned and left the store. He hopped into his sports car, started it up, and drove away at a blinding speed.
Solana was breathing heavily behind Stan, starting to have a bit of an anxiety attack. Stan swiveled around on his heels to meet her face to face.
"You okay?" he asked in a concerned voice. He didn't know how to deal with his own anxiety let alone someone else's.
"Yeah, I..." She said as she looked down at her clothes in disgust. It was very obvious that Chip had a hand in how she dressed at this job. It was awful for her.
"Are the kids ready to check out?" She chirped, trying to change the subject.
"Solana-" Stan started.
"Don't worry about it. I'm fine," she said firmly. "It's fine. I'm fine. Everything's fucking fine!" she snapped before adjusting her clothes and walking off.
Stan stood there in disbelief. He didn't think negatively about her. In fact, he felt an insatiable urge to protect her. Protect her from this creep, protect her from all men, from everything. Of course he ogled her when he first saw her but he reigned it in the moment he felt that twinge of loyalty to Solana before he knew it was her. He didn't want to be like Chip. He wanted to treat her nicely and treat her the way a beautiful woman like her deserved to be treated.
After gathering himself and flattening his suit coat, Stan walked out of the aisle to go find the kids only to find Solana checking them out at an impressive speed. He walked over to them slowly in silence, not wanting to disturb the flow.
"Grunkle Stan, Miss Solana is giving us so many discounts! I got sooooo many mini cat figurines. She was right. I do love a good mini cat figurine," Mabel rambled excitedly.
Solana was avoiding eye contact with everyone, especially Stan. She couldn't stand to see what he thought of her after that.
"So we're having a grand opening sale for 20% off of most things and then I'm giving you my employee discount of 30% which means you're getting everything half off," Solana explained as she started bagging everything up since she was done scanning. "So your total is $615.03."
Mabel and Maze froze in their places at the mention of that number. They slowly turned to look at Stan who looked completely disinterested in whatever was being said. He was focused on Solana and how avoidant she was being. Maybe she was doing it in front of the kids for their sake but he knew it wasn't that.
Stan pulled his wallet out and opened it to grab a stack of money. He whipped out a couple of hundreds plus a few more smaller bills to cover the price. He handed it all to Solana who took it without hesitation and put it into the register.
Solana handed the bags to the kids and smiled at them. "I hope you have an amazing time creating whatever it is you're creating. I hope to see it floating around the town one day if possible."
Mabel cheesed hard at Solana's words. "Thank yooouuuu!" she said loudly as she grabbed two bags and left the other three for Maze and Stan to take. Maze, being the good brother and nephew he was, took two of the heaviest bags to spare Stan from hurting himself. Or so he thought that's what he was doing.
"Kids, I'll meet you at the car," Stan said calmly, looking directly at Solana who was still avoiding his eye line.
"O...kay?" Maze said as he looked between the both of them then walked off with Mabel towards the entrance of the store. "What the heck was that about?" he murmured to her quietly, making sure neither Stan or Solana heard him.
Stan placed his hands flat on the register table they were at, his eyes never leaving Solana. She fidgeted so incessantly that it made him feel weird for even looking at her.
"I'm sorry," Stan said simply.
"For what? You didn't do anything wrong," she responded, tucking hair behind her ear as she spoke, still not looking at him.
"The way you're actin got me feelin like I did. I'm sorry for interferin."
Solana sighed and looked at Stan finally. "It's not that. I feel..." She groaned slightly. "Disgusting. This is exactly why I didn't want to meet you in person. Yet. I always have interactions like this with men specifically."
"Why?" Stan asked curiously.
"I don't know. I genuinely don't know. It's..." She laughed bitterly and shook her head. "At least you did it in your head and not outright."
Stan's face heated up. He wished he never did that in the first place and she brought it back up again. "I'm sorry about that too. But you know what's funny?"
"What?"
"I stopped cuz I felt this...connection to ya last night and I felt like I was...bein disloyal in this...'talking stage'? Or whatever my niece called it," he admitted, grumbling at the end.
Solana's heart melted at Stan's admission. She smiled at him and reached over to place her hand on top of his. She squeezed it thoughtfully. "Yeah?" She asked with a crooked smile.
His eyes briefly dropped down to their hands touching. "Yeah," he confirmed, leaning forward towards her a bit.
"I mean I should have expected this much from my boyfriend," she teased while giggling.
Stan laughed at her bringing her own words back up. "That...That got me when you said it. I thought I was goin insane when I heard it."
"No, not at all. I wouldn't mind it becoming reality one day," she paused. "Soon." Her eyes dropped to his lips for but a moment but he caught the gesture almost immediately.
"May I?" he asked, echoing her from before things went haywire. His own eyes were wandering over the features of her face. He couldn't help it. Her beauty rivaled even the mermaids he saw on his voyage with Ford.
"Such a gentleman for asking," she cooed. "Of course," she allowed.
He leaned down to Solana until their lips finally met. Their eyes closed immediately to truly lose themselves in the kiss. She squeezed his hand tightly, showing that she was restraining herself from doing much more than a simple kiss. She couldn't help herself and deepened the kiss a little more before Stan politely pulled away from her lips slightly.
"I'd be willin to continue this somewhere private if I wasn't babysittin right now," he whispered against her lips before kissing her a few more times.
Solana hummed into the subsequent kisses, her eyelashes fluttering at the same time. "Got any free time tonight?" She asked boldly, trying to catch her lips between every word she spoke.
"I might. I'll text ya and let ya know. Sound good?"
"Yeah. Sounds good," she said in a hurried tone.
Stan gave her a few more kisses before pulling away completely and fixing his clothes.
Mabel and Maze were standing outside Stan's car with their jaws dropped to the ground. Mabel dropped her bags. They slowly looked at each other in complete shock. They saw the entire encounter.
"Did Grunkle Stan just..." Mabel asked.
"He did..." Maze responded.
"Here he comes, here he comes! Act natural!" Mabel said quickly and quietly. She scrambled to pick up the bags.
When the doors opened, Stan walked through them and looked at the twins in confusion.
"The car was open," he said to them slowly, not completely sure why they were still standing and waiting.
"Oh! hahahaha!" Mabel laughed awkwardly as she scrambled into the car. She didn't really give much more of an answer than that, leaving Maze to pick up the pieces instead. Maze looked at Mabel with an expression that disapproved of her immediate betrayal.
"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." Maze said before he suddenly retreated and got into the backseat with Mabel.
"I thought you wanted to sit in the front, kid?" Stan said as he approached the driver's side and opened the door to get in.
"Naaahhhhh. I decided I wanna sit with Mabel," Maze said quickly with a nod.
"Gotcha," Stan said as he got in and closed the door. He pulled out his keys then started the car up.
"Your old grunkle got a date tonight. So I want you two to take care of each other and Sixer while I'm gone for the night," Stan said as he put the car in reverse and turned around to back out of the spot.
The twins sat in their seats, frozen. A date? They thought to themselves.
Love for Duties Sake Part 3
Consider this a valentine's treat from me to you. I hope you all enjoy and MWAH theres a very big kiss for all of you.Â
Summary: As the only daughter of Genelia, there were things you just had to do, and marrying the Queen of Wakanda was one of those things.
Pairing: Shuri x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Cussing, guns, mentions of death and grieving, thatâs it I think.
Word count: 3,744
Part 1. Part 2.  Masterlist.  Taglist.
Suggested listening:Â Kingston - Faye Webster
âEvery single word you say makes me feel some type of way It's the thought of you that slightly scares me But it takes my breath away, forget what I was gonna say The day that I met you, I started dreaming Now I write 'em down if I remember in the morning timeâ
The ride to the restaurant was quick, you didnât even pay too much attention to your surroundings as you rode in the back of the SUV next to Shuri. Your mind was too preoccupied with what prompted her to ask you to dinner all of a sudden and why the prospect of spending quality time with her made you feel warm on the inside. That was why you didnât recognize the path youâd traveled countless times until the car was parked right outside and Shuri was helping you out of the car.Â
Taking your hand gently in hers as you stepped out, pulling your skirt down to maintain modesty in case any news outlets were there. And of course, they were, but they kept a decent distance away, while they snapped photos of the interaction between you and Shuri; fearful of Okoye, Aneka, and Ayo who flanked you two. Your mind finally made the connection as your eyes read over the name of the restaurant Mamie Bidoche. The same French-inspired quaint restaurant you practically lived in when you spent time in DC.Â
âShuri!â You squealed, overcome with excitement to be back at your favorite restaurant. Joy ran through your body and you couldnât help but jump a little while you still held her hand. âHow did you know about this place? Who told you about it?âÂ
Shuri wished she could take a photo of you right then and there with her kimoyo beads just so she could savor the genuine smile on your face. This was the smile she didnât get to see often, the one you seemed to only reserve when talking to everyone except her. At that moment the Queen swore to do whatever she could to make sure that smile never left your face. âYou mentioned it once in an interview when we were first courting, our second with Asha I believe.âÂ
Blush now added to the smile on your face as you recalled the interview. Asha asked where your favorite place to eat in the States was and you replied without hesitation Mamie Bidoche, saying that youâd sell your soul to have a plate of their food again. That was so long ago, how could she remember that?Â
And that meant she was paying attention to you at the time too. For a long while youâd assumed Shuri had been zoning out during your interviews, not caring what you had to say until it was time for her to play the part of the doting wife. It was part of the reason you built up a dislike for her early in the relationship. But this disproved all of that, she had been listening.Â
âAnd that one time I asked you for a hair tie, you told me I should light my hair on fire and offered me a matchbox from here,â Shuri added with a laugh for more emphasis on her point. You had forgotten about that time, not your brightest moment but still funny considering everything.Â
âYou remembered all that?â You asked, your smile had faded into a softer one but Shuri still found it beautiful. Your hand now only connected to hers through your fingertips, both refusing to let go of the other.Â
âOf course sthandwa, why wouldnât I? Youâre my wife.â The response Shuri gave you made you almost feel silly for asking the question.Â
Words didnât feel like they could quantify your feelings so you simply wrapped your arms around Shuriâs neck and pulled her in close to you. Your reaction surprised Shuri but instinctively she wrapped her arms around your waist pressing your body against hers. The cameras snapped, capturing the pure moment between you two. Ayo, Aneka, and Okoye all shared a knowing glance, taking this moment as confirmation of Anekaâs previous theory. âThank you,â You whispered as you pulled away, the soft smile never leaving your face.Â
âNothing to thank me for my love,â Shuri replied, matching your smile. The sound of cameras shuttering reminded Shuri that even though this was a private moment between the two of you, it was subject to be blasted all over the internet at any moment. Plus the sound of one camera that seemed to be clicking more rapidly than others was starting to make her uncomfortable. âDo you maybe want to go inside now?âÂ
You could sense the nervousness in Shuriâs voice, you couldnât figure out what brought it on but you wanted to do your best to make it go away. Grabbing her hand you replied with a smile âYes,â before dragging her into the restaurant with Ayo, Aneka, and Okoye tailing behind.Â
The interior looked just as you remembered it, small and homey with a clear view of the kitchen so you could watch your food be prepared and cooked. Typically lunchtime in DC meant this place was packed but strangely no one else was there aside from the chefs and the waiter who guided you to your table. Shuri held out your chair and pushed you in, sitting in the same corner you sat in when you would come all those years ago.Â
âDid you have this place shut down?â You ask seriously once Shuri takes her seat across from you at the table.Â
Unfolding the napkin into her lap she chuckled. âAnd what if I did?â
You groan and shoot her a look sheâs familiar with, level one annoyance. âShuri,â You state firmly. âYou canât just buy out a restaurant for the two of us, theyâre going to lose money!â
âMy love,â Shuri scoffed. âIt is not just the two of us. Aneka, Okoye, Ayo.â She called the names of the three Doraâs and they all came to your table in an instant. Quite frankly you sometimes found their haste and devotion a little scary, they were always popping up places in the blink of an eye.Â
âYes, my Queen?â Ayo spoke first.Â
You and Shuri maintained eye contact while she spoke to Ayo. You were curious about what she would say and she was determined to prove a point.Â
âThe three of you grab a table together. Take advantage of this fine cuisine my wife raves so much about.â
Okoye tried to refuse. âOur job is to be focused on you, having a meal would only distract us.âÂ
This time you spoke up. âTake a break please, all three of you. You work so tirelessly to protect us all the least you could do is eat lunch. On Shuriâs dime of course.â You added the last part in and caught the smile that Aneka tried to fight.
The three women all looked at each other deciding if they were going to comply or not. One swift head nod from Okoye confirmed that you had won them over. All three walked away and sat at a table far enough away to not disturb you but still close enough that they could keep an eye out in case anything went awry.
âFive people are not the same amount of money as a DC lunch rush.â You remarked. Level two annoyance detected. Â
âDid you wear that skirt for me?â Shuri asked seemingly ignoring your comment in favor of talking about something she wanted to discuss.Â
âWhat? No, I wore it 'cause I like skirts.â Eying Shuri up and down you continued. âWeâre hurting their profit margins, Shuri.â
âI donât like it when you say my name like that. Shuri.â She repeated the way you said her name. âSo much contempt, I used to think you might actually hate me.âÂ
Your wife's comments made you pause and you took a sip of water while you digested your thoughts. âShuri,â It came more softly from your mouth this time. âHave you listened to anything Iâve said? We canât just shut a place down for five people.Â
The Queen sighed, as much as she loved her wife's strong will it was times like this that she wished you would just drop things. âOf course, I have listened to what you said, I didnât just shut the place down. Iâm paying double what they normally make per hour for however long weâre here, plus a tip for taking on Ayo, Aneka, and Okoye.âÂ
âOh,â You said quietly.Â
âMhm,â Shuri replied, taking a sip of her own water. âNow are you ready to drop this so we can have a nice lunch?âÂ
âYes.âÂ
The conversation flowed well between you and Shuri. She was able to delve into some details about current council debates that were stressing her and you offered your insight on how to best achieve what she was looking for. You made everything seem so simple and Shuri appreciated it in contrast to how she overthought everything. The conversation died down as you two finished the last bites of the meal, savoring every drop of sauce left on your plate.Â
Shuri nibbled the inside of her lip and pushed the remaining food around her plate as she watched you. Something was on her mind and you knew it.Â
âOut with it already.â You commanded dabbing the napkin at the edge of your mouth. Shuriâs confused face only made you laugh. âThis marriage thing means weâve spent a lot of time together, willingly or unwillingly. I can tell when something is on your mind so spill, let it out.
The young royal shifted in her seat, unaware of how obvious her actions had been. She was so used to being able to pick up on everyone elseâs patterns of behavior due to her enhanced abilities but never had someone picked up on hers. Thinking for a moment, she shook her head no. âItâs too personal, I donât wanna make you uncomfortable. Especially after the beautiful lunch we had.âÂ
âShuri, weâre married, if I really donât want to, I just wonât answer.â Your response was simple and Shuri appreciated that.Â
âYou um never talk about Genelia?â It came out like a question more than a statement like it was intended. âI noticed that today, when the Presidentâs idiot self brought it up you, seemed almost a little upset. Is there a reason you donât want to talk about it?âÂ
You tensed up once Shuri finished her sentence, in all honesty, Genelia was not on your list of topics you wanted to discuss today, or any day for that matter. But the way Shuri spoke, her question seemed genuine like she wanted to really know what happened.Â
Clearing your throat you started. âGenelia and I have a complicated relationship, a majority in part due to my parents. Iâm sure you know from interviews and just the public perception of me pre us, I hadnât been home in years. I lived between France and the United States comfortably I might add for the end of my teen years. What you donât know however is what made me leave for so long.â You paused here allowing yourself to breathe, these aren't memories you revisited often.Â
âI know I say a lot that Iâm the only daughter of Genelia but thatâs technically not true, Iâm the only living daughter of Genelia.âÂ
A look of confusion danced across Shuriâs face, she knew you had plenty of siblings but never had you mentioned a sister. You constantly cracked jokes in interviews about how growing up surrounded by all boys made you tough, so to hear about this mystery sister didnât quite add up.Â
âHer name was Yara and she was only a year older than me. We did everything together, she was my best friend and we didnât spend a day apart. I mean I think my mother had to get us separate rooms because I would crawl into bed with her at night.â That smile Shuri had seen earlier crept back up on your face as you reminisced on the good times with your older sister. Imagining what she would say if she saw you now all grown up and married.Â
âBut Yara you know, she was too good for this world I think, thatâs the only justification I can come up with. Her little body just wasnât built to hold all the light she had, she was too much for it. Over the years she became weaker and weaker. And when I was sixteen she uh passed.â The memory of the day she finally passed still stuck out in your mind, how your parents kept you from her until the last minute. How you sat and held all of your tears because you knew Yara didnât like to see you cry. Her death had been a long drawn-out process and it had been painful to watch your sibling slowly deteriorate. Â
âMy parents didn't really know how to let me grieve like I shouldâve been able to. We fought almost every day, just over the stupidest shit. Eventually, they pulled me aside and said I was becoming a bad influence on my younger siblings, that I used Yaraâs death as an excuse to act up.â Your voice got quieter as you continued speaking. âMy parents told me they had other children to raise, other children to help grieve and I was getting in the way of that. They sent me to France the very next morning.âÂ
Shuri looked at you with the first expression of hers that you couldnât track. There was a sadness in her eyes but the corners of her lips were tight as if she was mad. âI am sorry to have made you dredge up something so personal, sthandwa.â Reaching across the table she took your hand in hers rubbing it soothingly. âYara sounds like she was a beautiful girl and an amazing older sister. I am sorry that your parents didnât allow you to grieve her properly, I know how important that process is.â Â
At that moment, looking Shuri in her eyes while she held your hand in hers, you never felt closer to her. Not when you two shared your first kiss in front of millions on your wedding day, not during the countless interviews you too had done, not even during the rare times you did share a laugh when you were both home. No, none of those times compared to the connectedness you experienced with your wife at that moment. It scared you how being this connected made you want to be vulnerable to Shuri, you couldnât let that happen, to tell all of your secrets to her after just one dinner.Â
You broke eye contact and Shuri took that as a sign to pull her hand away from yours. âItâs okay, Iâm not as upset as I used to be about it. Honestly, Iâve been thinking I might want to go back someday.â You said the statement so casually but Shuriâs eyes shot up from the table.Â
âWhat?âÂ
âI think I might wanna go back someday, to Genelia.â You repeated.Â
âNo, my love, I heard you, I just canât understand why you would want to go back to a country that treated you so poorly.â Shuriâs comments made sense and you nodded.
âIâm not saying tomorrow Shuri,â You were careful how you said her name remembering her earlier comments. âI just mean before I die you know? Iâve still got siblings over there that I need to repair things with.âÂ
The morbidity of your comments got Shuriâs eyes rolling but she understood your sentiment nonetheless. The end of your comment piqued her interest but she decided against asking as she had already made you delve into your personal life. The queen allowed a few beats to pass, just admiring your beauty before she spoke, âI have to say entle I enjoyed this dinner with you.âÂ
Shuriâs comments made you smile from ear to ear. âThank you lovely, I did too.âÂ
Lovely? That was the first honorific you had ever used for her when a camera wasnât present. Shuri couldnât help the blush that crept onto her cheeks, you thought she was lovely?Â
âA shame it has to come to an end though, maybe we could do this more when weâre back home?â Shuri asked the question hesitantly as she rose from her chair holding her hand out to you.Â
Now it was your turn to blush. The idea of getting to spend quality time with Shuri, uninterrupted like you just did, was a dream you honestly thought was never going to be possible. You took her hand as you stood. âI would love that, but who says that we have to end it here?âÂ
âWhat do you mean?â Shuri asked, still holding onto your hand.Â
âYes, what do you mean my Queen?â Okoye was very quickly approaching you and Shuri with Aneka and Ayo flanking either side of her. Shit, trying to convince Shuri of your plan would be easy, but getting it passed those three would be a difficult process.Â
âI just mean there's a walk-up ice cream shop, not even a block from here. Like literally right up the street. You batted your eyelashes at Shuri. âWe could all get ice cream before we go, my treat!âÂ
Shuri laughed at you and you couldnât tell if it was because the idea of you paying for something was comical or if it was because you thought Okoye was going to go for it.Â
âNo,â Okoye answered simply, blinking at you unfazed by the puppy dog eyes you were trying to give her. âThe area hasnât been swept; there is no way for us to ensure your safety.âÂ
âAnd weâve been in one unsecure location for too long, our whereabouts could be known by anyone at this point,â Ayo added to strengthen Okoyeâs point.Â
âIt was secure enough for all of us to have a meal.â You argued back, the taste of the insane flavor combinations the shop was known to mix up already on your tongue. âItâs a Mom and Pop ice cream shop, just one scoop and weâre done!âÂ
Shuri shifted in her heels, rocking back and forth trying to decide if this was worth it. On the one hand, Okoye and Ayo were right, her last-minute decision to take you out here had caused a lot of disruptions to their normal security protocol. And the pictures that had been taken of you two had surely already made their round through the internet meaning your location was public. It was a risky idea. But on the other hand there you were, blinking up at her with your beautiful brown eyes, the ghost of that smile appearing on your lips as you anticipated her response. How could she say no to that?Â
âOne scoop canât hurt can it?â She turned to Okoye who stared back at Shuri dumbfounded.Â
âMy queen, I cannot advise that this is the safest decision.â Okoye was always honest with Shuri. âBut if you two insist, we can do ONE scoop in a cup for you to take back on the jet. Deal?âÂ
You squealed in excitement for the second time in the day. âThank you thank you thank you!â You repeated the statement over and over to Shuri and Okoye who watched you with boredness and amusement respectively.Â
The three women escorted you and Shuri out of the restaurant after Shuri had paid, you watched her leave a healthy tip on both of the tables before leaving. Just as you promised right up the block there was an ice cream shop with just two windows, one to order and the other one to pick up your cone. You stood reading over the menu, mulling over what you were going to get when Okoyeâs voice cut in.Â
âYou two hurrying up would be ideal. I do not like how exposed we are right now.â Okoye stood directly next to Shuri, while Aneka and Ayo had disappeared, presumably protecting you and Shuri from other areas of attack.Â
Hearing Okoyeâs words, Shuri wrapped her hand around your waist and gently pushed you in front of her so that her back was to the street and you were shielded. The gesture made you blush, she was always so protective of you.Â
âIâll have one scoop of your double chocolate coffee crunch in a cup please.â You said to the white man behind the counter who gave you a curt nod. His being there felt a little funny to you, you could have sworn this was a black-owned business who specialize in hiring specifically previously incarcerated black people. Although to be fair it had been years since youâd been there, their policies could have changed due to demand or the job market.Â
âAnd Iâll have just a scoop of your chocolate please, in a cup as well,â Shuri added in behind you before placing her card to pay before you could bring yours out. She quelled your protests with a quick kiss on your forehead.Â
You two stood off to the side while you waited for your ice cream. Shuriâs arms had now moved to rest around your neck, pulling you against her once again with her chin resting on top of your head. Take full advantage of the height difference between you two even though it wasnât that big. You felt safe like this, wrapped up in her.Â
The bell dung signified your order was ready and before Shuri could move to get it, you were already slipping out of her arms making your way over to pick it up. All of your attention was on Shuri as you turned away from the counter and stuck your tongue out at her. Earning a laugh from your wife, one of your favorite sounds.
You turned back to take the cups from the man but were instead met by the barrel of a gun aimed directly at you. Fear overtook you and the most you could get out was âShuri!â before two shots rang out hitting you in the abdomen.Â
Everything seemed to move in slow motion after that, your body fell back against the concrete with a harsh thud. You blinked and Shuri was at your side, hands pressing kimoyo beads into your stomach. Another blink and you saw Okoye jumping through the window at the counter in an attempt to apprehend the man who had so carelessly tried to take your life. Your wife was speaking to you in jumbled sentences, mixtures between Xhosa and English. The recurring sentence you could make out was her plea to you,
 âStay with me.âÂ
Suit Shopping pt. 2
Part 2 of this
A/N: Kinda to the short side but still
Words: 1277
TW: None, I think. It's all pretty fluffy. Lmk if I missed smth
The tension crackles in the air as the Batfamily stands awkwardly before Dick in the grand foyer of Wayne Manor. Two days since their mall adventure, the moment of truth arrives. Cass and Duke hold a large garment bag proudly between them, while Steph, Jason, Tim, and Damian each clutch separate bags, their faces etched with a mix of nervousness and anticipation.
Dick, in a simple t-shirt and jeans, stands in the center, a hesitant smile plastered on his face. "Alright, alright," he chuckles, trying to lighten the mood. "Let's see what you amazing people have come up with for my wedding suit."
Steph, ever the impulsive one, can't contain her excitement. "We'll go first!" she declares, darting forward before anyone else can react. With a dramatic flourish, she yanks the garment bag open, revealing a suit that can only be described as... exuberant. A vibrant purple screams royalty in the wrong carnival. Sequins shimmer across the fabric, catching the light like a disco ball in a bad dream. Tiny, glittery bat wings sprout from the shoulders, adding an extra layer of questionable taste.
Dick coughs, trying to hide a wince. "Uh, Steph... it's certainly... unique."
"Waitâ" Jason jumps away from the suit. "That's not the suit we bought!"
Steph's smile falters slightly, but she recovers quickly. "Exactly! Now Dick will be the most dazzling groom Gotham has ever seen!"
"Butâ What'd you do to our suit?!" Jason scoffs, betrayal clear in his eyes. "Blondie, you are expelled from Dead Robins Club."
Tim, unable to hold back a snort, steps forward. He unzips his bag with a flourish, revealing a sleek, black suit. Red accents run down the sides, and a subtle bat symbol is embroidered on the chest. It's a classic, cool design, a clear nod to Dick's Nightwing persona.
"This is more your style, right?" Tim asks, raising an eyebrow.
Dick nods, a genuine smile breaking out this time. "Definitely a contender."
Damian, ever practical, approaches next. He reveals a simple, tailored blue suit. It's elegant and well-made, the kind Bruce might wear on a more formal business occasion. "This is a timeless classic," Damian states, his voice devoid of his usual sarcasm. "It would be appropriate for any setting."
Jason, ever the drama king, scoffs. "Please, Demon brat. Dickwing deserves something more... modern. Wait one sec while I find what Blondie here has done to the suit he picked." He runs upstairs quickly, then comes back with a bag, showcasing a suit that looks like it belongs on the set of a futuristic space opera. It's a Nightwing blue, with metallic silver accents that seem to glow in the dim light.
Dick whistles. "Wow, Little Wing. Record time for that run."
Damian humphs. "But mine is more practical. Durable enough for any rogue attack, yet stylish enough to turn heads."
Last but not least, Duke and Cass step forward, holding their mysterious bag together. "We designed a suit based on your Nightwing colors," Duke explains. He carefully unzips the bag, and Cass pulls out a suit that leaves Dick speechless.
It's a masterpiece. Made from a midnight blue fabric that shimmers with a subtle sheen, the suit incorporates sleek black accents that run along the sides and down the arms. Designs of a starry night, intricate and beautiful, run across the entire fabric. But the true genius is in the details - a subtle hidden compartment on the arm for Dick's communicators, a flexible construction that allows for ease of movement, and a subtle lining that feels light and cool against the skin.
Dick stares at the suit, a wave of emotion washing over him. It's perfect. More than just a suit, it's a symbol of his journey, a blend of his past and future.
"Wow," Dick finally breathes. "This... this is incredible. Thank you, guys." He looks at each of his siblings, his heart full of gratitude. "Every single one of you came up with something amazing. I honestly can't choose."
Then his eyes light up. "I know! I'll call Wally! Everyone get out of the room, him and I will choose, then I'll announce which suit I'm picking."
A collective groan rises from the bats. Â
"Seriously, Dick?" Tim grumbles, already turning towards the exit. "You're letting your fiance be the tiebreaker?â
"Hey!" A voice called from the doorway before they can escape. Wally West, the Flash, in standing there, a mischievous grin plastered on his face. "I got your text. What's the big decision?"
Dick sheepishly explains the situation, gesturing to the remaining garment bags. Wally whistled, his grin widening. Â
"Alright, alright," Wally says, holding up his hands. "Let's see what we're working with."Â He darts around the room, examining each suit with the practiced eye of a seasoned shopper â or maybe a seasoned costume designer, considering his own flashy getup.Â
Steph puffs out her chest as he reaches her mangled creation. "So, what do you think? Pretty dazzling, right?"
Wally's eyes widen comically. "Uh, Steph, that's⊠Not gonna lie, certainly a statement piece. Take this from the guy people say used to be dressed like mustard."Â
He moves on, offering polite praise for Timâs practical design, a raised eyebrow at Damianâs classic choice, and a snort at Jasonâs space opera-inspired suit. Finally, he reaches Duke and Cass' masterpiece.Â
He falls silent for a moment, examining the suit with a thoughtful frown. Then, a slow smile spreads across his face. Â
"Wow, this is incredible," He breathes, tracing the intricate starry night design. "It's perfect, Dick. It's you, it's Nightwing, it's everything. Youâre gonna look so hot."
Dick grins, a blush washing over him. Â "You really think so?"
Wally winks. "Absolutely. Besides, can you imagine Bruce's face if you showed up in a sparkly purple suit with bat wings?"
The room erupts in laughter, the tension dissolving almost completely. Dick claps his hands, gathering everyone's attention.
"Alright, alright," He announces. "Looks like we have a winner. Thanks to everyone for putting so much thought into this. It means a lot."
He gestures towards Duke and Cass. "And for the two of you⊠seriously, amazing work. This suit is incredible."
Cass gives a small, satisfied nod, while Duke beams. The rest of the Batfamily offers their congratulations, the competitive spirit replaced by genuine camaraderie, though a few glares are exchanged. Â
"So," Wally says, slinging an arm around Dick's shoulder and pressing a chaste kiss on his cheek. "Ready to pick out a wedding band that's just as awesome?â
Dick chuckles. "Maybe we can skip the family vote on that one."
.
.
.Â
As soon as Dick and Wally speed out of the room, Jason, Steph, Tim, and Damian turn to Duke and Cass, glaring.
The pair in question only wear a smug grin. Cass holds out her palm, and Duke teases, âPay your debt, losers.â
Grumbling, Jason presses a fifty-dollar bill into Cassâs hand, glaring daggers at the two. âI used to like you two. No more pancakes for you, and no showing up uninvited at my apartment. Got that?â
Dukeâs grin only falters slightlyâ no pancakes?â but Cass steps on Jasonâs foot before he storms off with an âOW!â to make it even.
Tim pays his loserâs fee with only a slight frown, probably too sleep-deprived to care. Steph tries to give Cass a kiss instead of money, but Cass is too headstrong to fall for that.Â
Damian huffs and promised Duke heâd get revenge, in the most haughty and powerful voice a pre-teen could possibly muster. Duke tries so hard not to laugh, but fails, leaving the baby demon to stomp out of the room.
This competition was perfect. Duke knew theyâd win.
let me yap about mel for a second because i never have and she deserves it:
ever since i first saw mel she has been one of the most beautiful animated women i have ever seen and ive never fucking gotten over it. i LOVE HER. every time she is on screen im just like oh wow she's so radiant she's genuinely the sun. also ahhh yes one of the only characters in the show who is undergoing a continuous positive change. her arc from cold and calculated to exposing the warm and thoughtful and peaceful person beneath that, that she really does want to be. obviously she's not perfect and there is plenty of work still to be done, but compared to how most of the other characters have been doing at this point...
i don't care Too much for her and jayce being together, mainly because i think she could do better, but i still think their relationship is very cute and they clearly care a lot for each other and he has definitely helped her grow as a person. im just excited to see where she goes from here and if she continues to improve
#was gushing and then remembered she got swallowed by the black rose#ummmm#yikes#i literally fucking forgot guys#hopefully she is alive#but anyway i love her sooooo so so much#mel medarda#arcane s2#arcane spoilers#arcane#jaymel is the definition of me and the bad bitch i pulled by being autistic
I know it's been a while since your blue lock era but have you heard that the Nagi and Reo spinoff is getting a movie?
Unrelated but the thought of ex convict Geto just being so gentle and smilely with his girls and all the other mother just watching him. Or maybe they are all waiting for their kids to be dismissed from school and have small talk about random things and all the moms realize he is the whole package. Hot, attentive, funny, etc.
NO I DIDNT HEAR TY FOR TELLING ME !!! i must catch up on bllk i rly rly rly miss it so much genuinely sobs my baby sae calls to me every time i stare at the comm it might be the loveliest comm i have ever gotten
ANYWAYYYYYYYYY I RAISE U THIS !! the pre school teacher is young, not much younger than u and suguru. she meets him 1-on-1 one day after he runs a little late to picking them up and has to stay with the girls till he shows up. sheâs a bit annoyed that the guy with tattoos is late bc sheâs heard about himïżœïżœïżœheard that heâs jobless and has a history of trouble. she canât help but think to herself how he must be a lazy, unbothered parent who accidentally knocked up some chick and has taken that chance to leech off of her as he âstays for the kids.â
and then. he comes jogging up, out of breath and so, so apologetic as he rambles a string of sorryâs and it wonât happen againâs. sheâs frozenâwatches as the girls quickly run up to him, feels her heart skip two beatsâmaybe threeâwhen he chuckles softly and says in that smooth and low voice, âhello ladies, how was school? did we do some learning? thatâs important, yâknow.â
nanako answers first, as she always doesâsheâs always the center of attention. âi dissected an owl pellet daddy,â she grins happily, âmimiko didnât help.â
mimiko speaks up from the side, âit was gross.â
he nods, serious as ever, listening attentively as they babble and go on about their day. itâs like this is the most important partâlike the world doesnât exist when itâs his girls, like no one else matters. he gives the occasional mhm and oh, really? and oh wow! as they ramble. this might be the most their teacher has witnessed mimiko speak all year. and then he looks up and spots her, realizes sheâs there and gives her the most sheepish smile sheâs ever witnessed before clearing his throat.
âiâm so sorry about this,â he says gently, genuinelyâlike he really is sorry heâs late and like he never meant for it to happen. sheâs starting to realize he didnât, that when it comes to his girls, he takes everything seriously. including picking them up on time.
âno, thatâs okay,â she mumbles softly, giving him a smile. his earrings arenât so bad up closeâin fact, they suit him really well. âthe girls are a joy to be around, theyâre very well behaved.â
âgood,â he chuckles smoothly, grinning down at them in pride, âthey get that from their mother. iâm a bit of a trouble maker,â he says fondlyâand the mere thought of you softens his eyes, makes them a shade lighter as they brighten up.
rightâtheir mother. you. he has a wife, maybe a girlfriend. she doesnât see a ring on his fingerâbut either way, heâs taken. somehow, thereâs a pit of disappointment weighing in her gut, sinking to her stomach and making her taste bile.
âoh, well, you guys have a beautiful family,â she smiles tightly. how did he win her over so fastâhow did he manage to steal her heart so quickly? this is inappropriate, heâs the father of her students. a taken one at thatâbut geto is so smooth, so surprisingly gentle with an air of mystery that just makes him so desirable.
and then he slings both of his daughtersâ backpacks over both his shoulders, grabs their hands and smiles sweetly as he says, âsee you tomorrow!â
she hears him murmur a distant, wanna visit mommy at work? and the chorus of yeah! letâs see mommy! from the two girls. it makes her realize that maybe she was wrong about geto suguru. and somehow, she really really wishes she wasnâtâitâd be easier that way.
#ex convict! geto#i got so carried away with this im so sorry#i just.#he makes me INSANE#INSANE.#shorts.
Superbat: Mind if I cut in?
@hiero-green showed me this clip and my brain did a Thing.Â
âDo you mind if I cut in?â asks a voice politely.
Bruce has noticed the guy coming closer with every few passing seconds, but he figures it's another reporter trying to get a picture of Bruce's newest 'conquest'. Her name is Maddie and he's known for her exactly seventeen minutes before she asks him to dance. He knows he has a reputation, but even he doesn't work that fast.
Bruce pauses and turns to face the voice, ready to tell whoever this guy is that there's plenty of hours left of the night and if he can't wait for the song to end before butting in. Bruce has not slept in a few days, okay, and Maddie is the quietest person he's spoken to all night, he happens to *like* her quietness and would like to keep it for at least the next two minutes before he's overrun by vultures again.
His not-so-subtle rejection is halfway onto his tongue when he snaps his mouth shut because... oh, wow. This guy is absolutely stunning. Eyes as bright as the sky, framed by thick glasses. There's a soft dusting of freckles across his cheeks and he's smiling so softly - so *genuinely* - that Bruce can't help but smile back. He's tall too, even taller than Bruce himself by an inch or two. His broad shoulders are clad in a muted blue, oddly complimentary to his skin. He isn't wearing a tie, but he doesn't need it; he looks amazing just as he is.
âBe my guest,â Bruce says, slightly breathless, and he's never meant the words more in his entire life. Come home with me; stay the night with me; be my guest.
Maddie must be seeing what Bruce is, because she's smiling too. At least until the stranger grabs Bruce's hand instead of hers.
âWell this is unexpected,â Bruce comments lightly even as his heart is thundering in his chest. It's not the first time a guy has asked him to dance - it's not even the first time an attractive guy has done it - but there's something different about this guy. Something exciting, something almost otherworldly. Or maybe it's just been too long since Bruce got laid. Heâs known to get a little overly excited when itâs been too long since heâs slept with anybody.
âWhat?â Tall-and-handsome asks as he leads Bruce over the dance floor with ease. A practiced dancer then. âYou surprised I'd like a chance at the party's most beautiful dancer?â
That is so incredibly dorky, Bruce thinks. He wants to roll his eyes and send this man on his merry way, but instead he finds himself saying: âYou flatter me.â
âI simply tell the truth,â is the answer he gets, and Bruce doesnât have to smother a cheesy smile, he really doesnât. He simply⊠has an itch. On his nose.
âTruth, justice and the American way, I suppose?â Bruce comments. This guy really looks like heâd be into that old saying. Heâs strong as an ox if his biceps are any indication. It sends a thrill through Bruce. Itâs been a while since heâs been with someone strong enough to throw him around a little. Too long, heâd say.
âYou could say that,â the stranger says with a smirk.
Itâs like Bruce has said something particularly funny; like theyâre sharing an inside joke. Bruce just wishes he was in on the joke too. Needless to say Bruce doesnât need much persuasion from the stranger to keep dancing with him, song after song. He willingly follows along when his new friend asks if heâd accompany him on the balcony for some fresh air.
Bruce may not be twenty anymore, but even he knows fresh air is the last thing on either of their minds.
âI didnât catch your name,â Bruce says as he pushes the doors closed behind them. Not that he needs his name, really, but it would be nice to know whose cock heâs going to be sucking in approximately three minutes.
âItâs Clark. I know yours, of course, Mr. Wayne,â Clark says with a grin.
âPlease, call me Bruce.â
âThere is another name I think would suit you better.â
âOh? And whatâs that?â Bruce prompts, leaning against the banister. He tilts his head to the side, exposing his neck slightly. Heâs pleased when Clarkâs eyes glide over his skin.
âBatman,â Clark then says, all laughter gone from his face. Bruce doesnât react purely because he knows better than to do so, but heâs suddenly acutely aware of how alone they are. âI need your help,â Clark continues. Â
Bruce narrows his eyes at this tall, handsome⊠otherworldly man, as he takes off his glasses. He looks at Bruce with his bright blue eyes and tugs on his collar to expose the material underneath. More blue.
Bruce wants to jump off the balcony. Superman. Of course. Just Bruceâs luck. So heâs not about to get lucky, heâs about to go on another mission.
âCanât even get one measly night off,â Bruce mutters. Thereâs no need to pretend any longer. Clark knows exactly who he is; the charm isnât going to work on him. âThis couldnât wait?â
âAnd miss my chance to dance with Batman himself? No way,â Clark grins.
âI thought I was the most beautiful dancer at the party,â Bruce says mockingly.
âThe two arenât mutually exclusive.â
âAre you flirting with me?â The better question is why is Superman flirting with him? Heâs already lured him away from the party. Thereâs no reason to keep up the charades.
âAm I not allowed to flirt with you?â
âI donât see the need,â Bruce mutters. Heâs already called for the batmobile, there really is no need for Clark to keep standing here if thereâs somewhere more important they need to be.
âItâll make it easier for me to ask you out later,â Clark says with a wink. And only then does he disappear from the balcony.
Bruce rolls his eyes. Stupid alien powersâŠ
Wait. What was that Clark just said?
WEâRE THE LAST IN LINE: 4
PART: 1 | 2 | 3 | 5
mechanic!Eddie x Fem!Reader
Modern AU
W.C 2.5k
A/N: Part 4 is finally here!
Since that night, you had woken up to Eddieâs little âGood Morningâ texts all week. They started out normal, a simple, âGood Morning,â but the more and more you two talked, the more sweet and goofy they became. For you it was just nice to have someone to talk to, something to look forward to every morning, and Eddie never failed to make you smile.
For Eddie, it was refreshing to talk to someone who genuinely asked how he was doing, and wanted to know how his day was. Instead of the one way constant texts and calls from her. From the moment she woke up to the moment she fell asleep it never stopped. But you? You were different. And Eddie was finding himself smiling at work thinking about the texts you would send him. He couldnât stop thinking about you. Finding it easier to wrap himself up thinking of your texts than the doom that followed him wherever he went.
You were practically giddy on Saturday as you came in early to open the shop. Skipping with joy over to Peteâs laptop to start up his weekend playlist. Dancing as you looked over the books at the incoming appointments. And your heart beat faster as you skimmed down the names and your eyes rested upon the name your mind hadnât stopped racing thinking of, 10:45âEDDIE. Your job on weekends was to call all the appointments for the day and to make sure people would still be arriving on time, or if they needed to reschedule. First appointment was a woman named Marcia, who confirmed âyesâ to her cover up at 8:30. The next appointment was a man by the name of Bulldog, he was getting a Prince Albert piercing done by Ziggy at 9:30, he confirmed âfuck yeahâ to his appointment. And the next appointment for Pete was Eddie. You thought about texting him but decided against it and called him from the work phone instead.
âP-p-PETE! whatâs up man?â Eddie shouted through the receiver.
âDefinitely not Pete, itâs y/n,â you say with a laugh. âIâm just calling to confirm your 10:45 with p-p-PETE.â
âWow, I certainly know how to make an ass out of myself donât I?â Eddie laughs, âyeah Iâll be there, the real question is when does Peteâs apprentice get to stop practicing on the fake stuff and practice on someone real?â
âAhh, that would be up to Pete. His apprentice is ready but sheâs not sure that Pete thinks the same.â a smile is plastered so hard on your face you donât recognize yourself in the mirror as you pass by.
âWell, how about a little birdie talks with Pete about it and letâs the apprentice, tryâ- okay Iâm getting confused, Iâm gonna talk to Pete and see if he will let you give me a tattoo today, âkay?â
âW-what? Eddie!â Your mind is going a thousand miles a minute, you were excited to be given an opportunity like this but on him?, you touching his skin? What if he hates it? What if he never came back into the shop again?! A million different scenarios ran through your mind as your tongue got more and more tied. âI-I donât want to ruin you.â
Eddie lets out a loud belly deep laugh, âoh honey youâre far too sweet to ruin me.â Eddie slams his phone repeatedly into his head, âjust uhhâyeahâ Iâll talk to Pete and see what he thinks, so yes, count me in for you doing me at the appointment⊠uhâ whatâs that? Yeah ok! Sorry I gotta go! ByeâŠ. MOTHER Fââ
Click
Eddie canât believe that you make him this nervous, nervous to the point that he canât even talk right. He shakes his head as the heat from his cheeks start to subside.
Giggling you write down that Eddie confirmed his appt as you stare longingly at his name. God, what if Pete actually let you practice on him?
The morning flew by. Pete managed to change Marciaâs hodgepodge of a butterfly into a beautiful black and white rose. According to the blood curdling screams from Ziggyâs back corner, the Prince Albert piercing that Bulldog got was going well. Just waiting for 10:45 to see Eddieâs cute, infectious smile warm the place up. As always you heard Eddieâs motorcycle before you saw him. Perking up a bit and running your fingers through your hair, you apply a generous amount of chapstick to your lips and rub them together before Eddie is opening the door.
âPete!â Eddie calls swith a cupped hand to his mouth, heâs wearing all black, from his hair down to his boots, he looks like a metal grim reaper dripping of sex and smelling of smoke. He somehow looked hotter and hotter every time you saw him. Blood rushed to your cheeks as he gazed at you with those dark chocolate eyes, winking as he strolled up to the desk. âUh 10:45 for Sir Edward Munson.â Eddie says with a British accent.
âEdward huh?â You say with a giggle as you mark him checked in on the iPad. âSo formal.â
âYeah I didnât uh think that through,â Eddie says shaking his head and pinching the corners of his eyes, âplease donât ever call me that, sounds like Iâm a vampire hunter from colonial times.â He says with a laugh leaning on the counter. His face inches from your own. His eyes are the deepest pools of melted chocolate, you almost look for Augustus Gloop as you stare into them. âItâs good to see you, funny how I have to go to your work to finally see the girl I text non stop, when we are literally, next door neighbors.â He smiles as he pops a piece of orbit into his mouth, winking again as he munches on his gum.
âDude ya gonna flirt all day or do you want this shit done?â Pete emerges from the back room rubbing his black latex gloved hands together.
Eddieâs cheeks pink as he pushes off the desk and walks to Pete. âSorry my guy, hey I was thinking⊠what if your apprentice,â he says motioning to you, âwere to test her skills on me?â
Pete ponders the idea, âwhat do you think? Ya think youâre ready? I mean itâs just Eddie.â
âHey!â
You shrug nonchalantly as if you arenât internally screaming, âI mean Iâd like to see where Iâm at, and if Eddie is willing..â
âLook at him,â he says motioning to Eddieâs puppy dog eyes, âheâs practically drooling at the thought of your hands on âem, come on then. Grab your shit.â
You grab all the essentials needed, and Eddie takes a seat in the chair. âSo uh, what are you thinking of getting, and where?â
âWell since this is your first tattoo Iâm gonna let you pick.â He leans forward and takes off his shirt. His body is covered in various different tattoos, all patchwork. Except for the Chrissy tattoo. Avoiding staring for too long at the name that has haunted your dreams, you trail your fingers down his arm and find room down by his wrist.
You get the colors needed, and begin sketching as Eddie talks to Pete. A rough draft is drawn up and the final design is put on the transfer paper. Pete looks at it with eyebrows raised. âI mean heâs got weirder shit done, did you see the Land Before Time tattoo I did a few years ago by his elbow?â
âLeave my tree star alone man,â Eddie says proudly displaying it as he cranes his elbow, âshit looked delicious donât even lie to yourself.â
You let out a loud laugh, he was such a little kid you couldnât help but snicker at the shit he said on a daily basis. âAlright Iâm gonna put the stencil down now so look away, I want you to be surprised!â
The entirety of the tattoo took around three hours. Eddie was probably the easiest person to work on because he already had so many it really didnât bother him at all. He just sat and talked to Pete about projects he was working on in the garage that week, how he was going to store his motorcycle and start driving the 4Runner again since winter was right around the corner.
You finish the last pieces up and Pete steps over to take a look, âwow, fuck y/n this is good!â
âReally?â
âYeah, why would I lie?â Pete says as he wipes the green soap solution off one last time. âAlright dude, sheâs done and this thing is fucking awesome.â Eddie jumps up as he makes his way to the mirror, you stand back shyly as you clean up.
âShut the fuck up, the pink Power Ranger!â The smile on Eddieâs face is damn near ear to ear, âAnd what is she holding?â
âOh ya know?â you tease, âjust a cup of sugar.â
You didnât think Eddieâs smile could break any wider but it does, âI love it! Oh my God this is the coolest tattoo, no offense Pete, that Iâve gotten yet.â Eddie steps towards you and swoops you into a hug, spinning you around. He sets you down gently and keeps his hands on your upper arms, âUhhâ thank you, itâs seriously so badass, you did an incredible job.â
Eddie is staring straight into your soul, his eyes are bright and full of infatuation. He hasnât stopped smiling since he got to Peteâs earlier today and it was because of you. He had wanted to see you all week but was content with the texts you sent him throughout the day. He didnât want to ruin a good thingâ if there even was a thing to talk about between the two of you. Only one way to find out, and he was praying like hell that the Gods of awkwardness would settle themselves long enough for him to ask.
âHey, when are you off work today? Do you maybe wannaâ I donât know, grab a pizza and watch some scary movies at my place?â He smiled shyly down at you, cheeks fluttering pink, âIâll even pick you up.â he says with a wink.
You would be lying to yourself if you hadnât developed small, sweet, ooey gooey, feelings for him. He was affectionate, charming, goofy and extremely down to earth. You would be out of your mind and foolish if you were to say no. âWhat time?â
Eddie wasnât kidding when he said he would pick you up, he knocked on your door at quarter to 7, carrying a single rose. He was wearing two silver chains, a long sleeved black shirt and a pair of black jeans and boots. He had on the rings he always wore, and a smile that could make Colgate jealous. âI thought about bringing the sugar over but since you permanently marked me with it I figured I already am bringing it wherever I go.â
You chuckle as Eddie takes you in, youâre wearing a pair of leggings with fuzzy socks rolled over top and an oversized crewneck sweater with ghost face on the front of it, heâs kicking his feet holding a pink phone, a speech bubble over his head reads, âno you hang up firstâ.
âOkay and props to you for the âScreamâ sweater, I donât care what anyone says, itâs the best franchise out there!â Eddie grins, handing you the rose.
âIt was the first scary movie I've ever seen.â you take the rose and inhale itâs beautiful aroma, you turn slow and grab a small vase from your kitchen and fill it with water. Plucking the rose inside of it. âThis is beautiful, Eddie, thank you.â
He blushes slightly and hides his face with his hair. âYou ready to go? I figured we could hop over to my place and then order the pizza if thatâs cool with you?â You lock your door and walk the 8 steps to Eddieâs apartment. His apartment is identical to yours only backwards. Your kitchen is on the left of your apartment, his on the right. The walls in his living room are bare, a lamp beside the big sectional couch provided soft lighting, the tv is the size of the wall itâs hanging from, a small bookcase sits in front of the living room window holding some little odds and ends.
âThis is nice, cozy.â You smile looking around some more.
âEh, itâs alright, not as loved as your place but I do have the bigger tv.â
After much discussion about whether pineapple belongs on pizza or not Eddie orders a large pizza, half canadian bacon and pineapple the other half pepperoni. You excuse yourself to the bathroom as he picks out a good movie. His bathroom is like any other 20 something year old males bathroom. A single towel, a gray shower curtain with a matching rug, toothbrush and toothpaste on the counter, a roll of toilet paper on the back of the toilet. You're pleasantly surprised when you find a bottle of handsoap, but being a mechanic he probably actually uses it.
âAnd if youâre wrong about the pizza?â You ask him returning from the bathroom and plopping down next to him, âWhat do I get in return if itâs gross?â
Eddie turns to face you as he wets his lips, âoh Iâll think of something.â He looks so fucking good right now you hardly realized how close you were moving in. His hand gently moves to your chin as he pulls you closer. Your lips party slightly aching to feel his lips against yours. All the pining stares, stolen glances and late night texts were finally building and now exploding around this moment.
A knock on the door breaks the tension between yours and Eddieâs lips. âSaved by the Bellâ Eddie grins as he gets his wallet for a tip. He opens the door casually as his eyes are casted downward fishing in his wallet.
A shriek youâre sure is one decibel away from only being heard by dogs bounced off every surface of Eddieâs apartment and rings in your ears.
âWHO THE HELL IS SHE?!â
Eddie nearly fainted at the sight of her, color rushing from his cheeks as his eyes go dark with pure hatred, what the fuck is she doing here? The woman in question?
Chrissy
