I feel like as a fandom Marco has some missed potential. like, Oda has a LOT of characters to get through it makes sense Marco doesn't get much of a spotlight. and I know power scalers love to throw him around. But like there is a CRIMINAL lack of good brother Marco content. In current times, before Thatch passed or even back when Roger was around. Marco is genuinely so interesting though he kinda just gets turned into a grump in most fics, keeping things straight. and I'm sorry the BIRD HEADCANONS YOU CAN PLAY WITH??? let me see this man genuinely take care of the crew and hang out with them let him SMILE PLEASE. I’m not sure when during my first listen of TMA I started to headcanon Jon as having a lot of nervous ticks and bad habits similar to Danny— whether it be how they both obsess and throw themselves completely into things or how Tim describe’s Danny’s dramatic manner of speech. Regardless, I imagine Tim picking up on these similarities, giving him a sort of brotherly fondness for Jon at the start and making his anger towards him in the end only worse. Because why does it have to be Jon of all people that reminds him of Danny, even after everything he’s done?

With all that out of the way— here’s some incredibly angsty art :D

Woke: bruce wayne doesnt remind danny of vlad masters, but of his best friend sam manson

im tired of the "oh danny runs away from bruce because he's rich and reminds him of vlad" give me a danny who actually likes bruce because he reminds him of his awesome kickass best friend who is also stupidly rich

like i’ve been told about the whole “oh fruit loop joke” before and i still think its a cheap, shallow joke if i’ve ever heard one that flanderizes Bruce’s character to an impressive degree. Vlad and Bruce are only comparable in the same sense that they’re both rich and Bruce adopts kids — but he isn’t doing it because of the “adoption addiction” joke, he’s doing it because he sees himself in the kids he adopts and he wants to give them better than he did. Vlad wants Danny as his son to spite Jack, they are not remotely comparable beyond that.

Like, beyond that too i highly doubt vlad masters gives his employees benefits like bruce wayne does. who canonically hires reformed villains and has various branches of medical, industrial, technology, etc in his company in order to help the people of gotham. does Vlad Masters run charities, soup kitchens, etc?? is Vlad contributing to the community? No, no he isnt.
