Hi anon! The deluge of Suspect R asks startled the shit out of me but it's okay because I love her. I decided to combine these two requests because otherwise the one about Chief reacting to Suspect R's fashion would've been reaaaaally short. I hope that we see more of Suspect R in act two of the story, I'm begging for crumbs... It's been over an in-game year since we saw her! And I'm pretty sure it's also been around that much time irl too. Aisno is edging us. I need to know what she knows about us! She acts way too much like our ex-wife! Clearly she knows us and she speaks of us fondly, who were we to her?!

Suspect R and F!Chief reacting to each other's fashion

The Bureau uniform is what Suspect R is used to, of course. She doesn't think much of it, beyond what she thinks of Chief herself: that she's absolutely stunning no matter what she wears. R longs to run her fingers through Chief's hair… and of course, she would've gotten Chief some clothes more to her taste if she'd managed to scoop her up and whisk her away. She also finds the jacket cute – and she has no room to talk about wearing your jacket properly. She thinks it's a way in which they match, which she likes.

The Stalker attire just adds a hood and cloak, but R thinks Chief wears it extremely well. If she could, she'd love to tease about how she looks like a “true Syndican” now.

R is more enamored by the story behind the Passage of Time attire than the outfit itself. She thinks the colors and patterns look nice on the Chief, but what truly makes it shine to her is Chief's interactions with OwO. She also thinks the braid looks very nice. Overall, it's a bit of a different look to what she's used to from the Chief, but she likes it anyway.

She thinks the Traveler attire is adorable. She honestly can't pick a favorite part about it because her eyes are too busy roaming everywhere, though she definitely appreciates the good view of Chief's legs. This is a strong competitor for her favorite outfit, because she thinks it brings out Chief's heroic spirit and kind heart by the vibes of it, which is by far her favorite aspect of the Chief.

Her reaction to Nightfall Soiree can be summarized as “lol cute.” She prefers seeing Chief in blue – not that she's biased or anything – but she admits the red is a good look on Chief. It's bolder than what is standard for the Chief, and she thinks her fluffy curls look adorable. It's an easy contender for her top three.

Her thoughts on the upcoming attire is that she wants to pull on Chief's ponyta– ahem. She's a big fan of the subtle touches of red against the black and white. While her bias is definitely Chief in dresses, she's a big fan of looks like these as well – she prefers it to Passage of Time, as far as celebrating the Chinese New Year goes. Once again, she feels like this outfit brings out her beloved Chief's heroic spirit.

As for Chief…

When you awaken with amnesia, you don't expect your first sight to be… anything at all, really. But if Chief did have expectations, Suspect R and her appearance would've been low on the list.

It actually took a moment for Chief to take note of R's fashion, held spellbound by the striking glow of her eyes – but when she did tear her gaze away, her heart did a flip in her chest and she had to swallow as her mouth suddenly felt drier than a desert.

R was stunning, simply stunning. Her blonde hair cascading over perfect shoulders, slender fingers tracing over Chief's cheek, breath hot on her face…

Oh, and it didn't help that her top, uh… left little to the imagination. A physical one was not the only awakening Chief went through in that moment; if Nightingale hadn't showed up, Suspect R would've probably succeeded in whisking her away.

When Chief finally gets to see R's alternate outfit, she'll be stunned as always. It's not something she'd ever imagine R wearing, but she can't deny that R looks amazing – and white has always been a good color on her.

Still, Chief prefers Rebecca's more casual outfit – if you can call it that. Her fancier outfit feels like it loses some of R's spirit, the spark that draws Chief to her in the first place – making her look like any other rich Eastside (or Paradeisos…?) lady.

ok like i said i'll go over kust the brief basic stuff cuz I'm not good with words. but basically its sy dropped in pidw like, mid endgame ig, with already blackened protag and no system. so he's like, this might as well happen and goes to vibe and explore bc he's been dropped with the basic necessities to live for a bit. after some time he realizes he's in PIDW and after the initial outrage decides to capitalize on it and uses knowledge from his days spent editing the pidw wiki for fun. so he's running along having fun cataloguing things into several bestiaries and herbals (and cartography stuff etc just compiling worldbuilding) and decides to publish them with an actual success and he becomes a bit of a well-known author in the encyclopedia scene. so he's living out his best life, traveling from place to place, using his meta timeline knowledge to stay clear of the places that are plot-relevant at the time, happy to stay clear out of the path of his blackened blorbo.

that is until someone publishes a binghe biography that is so bad and so 'conquests' focused that he cant help but write his own (leaving out too personal things that he's sure lbh wouldn't want out there) under a pseudonym as a deliberate critique of the other one, which he even clearly states in the prologue of it (that the work is a disservice and disrespectful to the lord and wives alike and much more flowery vitriol, just letting his old angry commenter out)

so its published and it doesnt actually do half-bad because over the years of writing he has gotten pretty decent and that's it for a while. Until it gets to the demon lord. it gets brought to his attention by his court which takes care of notifying him of any possibly slanderous works (lbh doesn't actually care that much about stuff like that but they insist on it and its less tiresome to just let them do whatever than to keep telling them off) so they're like, there's one book, which isn't technically, a critique of the lord, but does criticise the other one which sings praises to him to all heavens so?? technically? (lbh knows of the first one but thought nothing of it bc it was mid and mostly inaccurate but again, he doesn't acre about that stuff rly) so they hand it over and he skims through it and slowly realizes that there is a lot of things that no-one or just a select few should have any idea about so, ok much more concerning than any bad portrayal of his person, even if nothing actually too-secret didn't get exposed in it. its about the principle. so he first conducts a search of his palace and his circle of people if the author is any of the people around because, who else could know about all this (trying to ignore the stuff that no-one except from him should be aware off) but it turns out with no results. so he orders his people to try to find them but the lands are vast and there's authors of plenty so of course that is also almost impossible.

what i think would be funny tho is if liu mingyan was like can I take a look/help, skimmed through it and was oh yeah I've seen this before and is able to trace it back to sy because he used unconsciously a modified phrase from his previous world that is not at all common here that he already used in one of his previous works (or maybe in an angry review of a novel, to scratch that forum commenter itch, that'd be maybe more probable for my to come across) so she notices that immediately because the first time she saw it she was left puzzled so she was sure it has to be most likely the same person again. and so bingge is set to go get his man hsdakhj

gonna put out my honest thoughts about my current progress in fire emblem engage bc i need to talk about how silly this game is

i’m only at chapter 7-8 btw and i’ve already spoiled myself half of the plot

i couldn’t choose between f!alear or m!alear bc their designs were.. something. i chose f!alear for my first run since i did the “same ingame gender as irl gender” thing (and it was an entire tradition for me at some point).

didn’t even reach chapter 6 and f!alear’s design was too much for me. i liked seeing her in a ponytail tho but i was not gonne be patient enough to change her class JUST for the ponytail. like girlie ik ur the divine dragon n shit but atleast try to not get your long ass hair pulled midway in battle.

and wtf is your armor??? you have individual boob cups for what?? your entire outfit does not look an ounce comfortable and yet you still slept in that shit. the short ass skirt too?? the stocking things??? there are like 10 design atrocities and i could even name more (and that’s just on a scale of practicality)

made a new save file and chose m!alear bc i was getting tired of f!alear’s entire armor outfit. ngl i preferred playing as m!alear bc he felt a lot more comfortable playing as an mc. but his entire victorian child fit wasn’t the best but it was more practical than the boob cups.

anyways the prologue was kinda funny. our ass just wakes up and suddenly the world is in shambles bc some salty ass kingdom made sombron become the second coming of jesus christ.

queen lumera only had like.. 2 seconds of screentime until the ultimate mentor/parent death trope scene bc dead parental figures are a must for fire emblem mcs (unless ur sigurd and become the dead parent)

the firene siblings appeared. albert is precious and céline is lowkey on thin ice because of that damned outfit. like maybe wear something more practical in battle other than easy hair pulling and frilly dress?? (i know i can change her class but i’m a lazy bum). im still currently trying to know my way around albert’s skill set but he’s a good unit atm.

the twins are splendid little creatures. clanne got too many mvps and is still on the mvp streak ever since i paired him with celica (i abused warp ragnarok too many times). framme is just there for moral support and actual healing support.

vander’s lvl 1 grandpa ass was actually doing decent damage comapred to lvl 6 alear. you don’t know how many times vander had to come in clutch when alear was 3 hp away from evaporating.

i paired albert w/ sigurd and clanne w/ celica. that shit was game changing. i revoked céline’s emblem privileges for no reason. i just gave celica to clanne since he technically did more damage. he is like low tier but he’s my biggest carry atm. how the turns have tabled.

i changed alcryst’s class to tireur d’élite the second i got his lvl 10 ass. i’m pretty sure he might be my strongest unit atm (lvl wise).

idk who i should pair micaiah with so i just let her stay with yunaka. i never rlly used micaiah’s abilities for healing but i only used her to widen yunaka’s range w/ magic if she needed to chip in some damage to an enemy.

i always get tired at like the 7th turn in every battle and I just abuse celica’s warp ragnarok to beat up that one enemy to win the battle. somehow clanne still deals big damage w/o the engage boosts.

listen i have no clue what they fed the stewards but i am now afraid of them with my every being.

jean and anna r just there. jean doesn’t do shit bc i alr have framme. ik that jean might be decently better than framme but i don’t want his lvl 1 ass dying every single time. anna is a pretty good backup for chain attacks actually. but everytime i see her i get reminded of her commander version from heroes (bc it was my first fe game)

i spent the good majority of my bond fragments on arena emblem bonds w/ my current lineup bc i gotta get those big boi skills n shit. i also watched my units kill each other bc ig that’s a thing now. (i witnessed alcryst beat the shit out of céline)

SOD Hidden World Playthrough - Prologue Pt2

Alright! Last one before I get to the actual storyline. I should have known, I talk too much.

See, I love how involved Valka is. I think this role was originally Hiccup's, or some other berkian. I love how they gave it to Val these days <3

Y'know, almost picked Gronkle bc I usually default to Nadder, but I couldnt help it.

I generally default to canon color schemes for my dragons (which is part of why Ivaran was a dark brown color), but I ended up customizing this little guy to just be a little wild for once. Have a little fun, y'know?

Anyway, this radioactive-looking cutie is Vasqes. If you havent noticed it yet, I also decided to skip classic viking names for this playthrough. I already have compliant names on my main, so why not :'D

Ah, yes, this is quite confusing if you havent played the game yet, especially because its part of the intro. That rat that set down these explosives is one Harald Forkbeard, a School Of Dragons original. He will show up in the THW storyline but I'll fill you in on the details as we go since I probably wont manage to blog about all the quests in this game |D Anyway, he's a charming little weasel. Thats all you need to know for now. Also, I love him. He's very entertaining, in a very annoying way :'D

The explosives open a crater to a bottomless pit! The School is set up in a caldera created by a dead volcano, so I wonder what lies at the bottom 👀 Its weird not to have the lake anymore but I dig the upgrade!

I love the Headmaster! I forget his name right now, but he's this ancient berkian warrior who fought against dragons all his life, but when Hiccup changed the minds of Berk he was so touched that he ended up the figure Hiccup trusts with taking care of the School! He's a good viking grandpa. I love seeing him again.

Fun fact, when I first played this game, there were no Expansion Quests. It's insane how much its grown. Things like the Timberjack Taxi are gone (I miss it- i loved the hoop flying even if you can technically still play it- its been converted to a fullblown minigame. I miss flying on the timberjack tho :c), and the map is HUGE. There was only Berk and the School when I used to play it!

For the purposes of this series though, I will only be playing the Hidden World! storyline. Next time we finally tackle this quest. For now, enjoy a few more visuals of the game:

Oooookay. Welcome back. Posting about pathologic part 4 I think? Part 4. We just reached Act 4 too, so everything’s going according to schedule. This gaming session had some ups and downs. Ups: That good good lore, and a lot of quality time spent with my good pals Daniil  and Changeling and also Clara apparently, although she might not be my good pal after all, but w/e. Downs: FUuuuUUUUCKkkk we are so bad at video games, and also the kin folk have become A Lot, holy shit. Where to start.

Okay so this time the game wasn’t actually super stressful for me personally bc this time I kind of just handed off the controls to my sister every time shit got dangerous. She’s a lot better at video games than me. Shoutout @akpaley​ for keeping me from dying from stress in real life.

The drawback of this is that since she’s a lot better at video games she’s also a lot more willing to actually take risks rather than just running away from literally everything. Which I won’t deny, has gotten us a lot of much-needed money and resources but also.

WELCOME TO THE FUCKING DEATH SPIRAL PART OF THE GAME. I guess it had to happen eventually, right? Fuuuuuuuck us, do you have any fucking idea how much shit you have to redo when you’re randomly shanked by some dude every fifteen minutes? And they’re harder to fight every time we come back, apparently, and also our health is like permanently half gone? Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck why are there not more clocks.

Victor Kain, you were the one who made the clocks?? I could fucking kiss you. I owe you my life. Or like, six hundred of my lives. Hhh.

Okay, seriously though, the clock lore is actually kind of sick. Victor told us that they’re smaller versions of the cathedral, and we were like “!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THaT’S WHerE wE RESET THE GaME IN THe PROLOGUE!!!!!!! METAPHYSICS!!!!!!!!!” The Kains are so cool.

Um, we gave the rest of our shmowder to Khan. We’re out now. We’ve been looking for more but haven’t found anything.

Also we made a random potion, and the plague showed up and was like “fuck you,” and I was like “damn, calm the hell down, you’re the one fucking killing people.”

Met with the Saburovs more. They were like “we have another suspect!” and I was like “yeah they probably don’t but w/e” and my sister was like “they’re in an infected land and we should probably save their lives” and I was like “why do we care about helping the Saburovs again, literally all they do is accuse random people of killing my dad, the Kains are obviously the best family, we should just be throwing in with them” and she was like “that’s not all they do, they also run the guards, you know those guys who patrol plague districts?” and I was like “okay fuck you’re right let’s visit them” and it turns out that that there was actually some super cool lore pertaining to the town’s mistresses. Also, god if they don’t have some cool reflections. I love everything about this town’s history.

Afterwards we randomly decided to visit Yulia for literally no reason, and she was like “I’m glad you’re here, I have a lot of super heavy important shit to discuss with you about the Inquisition that will be here tomorrow, it sure is convenient that you’re in my neighborhood for some reason even though I live in an incredibly inconvenient location?” Also she knows something about the nature of Artemy, Daniil, and Clara-or maybe the Changeling but she called her Clara? Oh yeah, Daniil was there too for some reason. Poor guy, I don’t think he’s okay. He cried on my shoulder a lot, he was endearingly open and earnest and for once I felt bad about the dialogue options wherein Artemy throws shade.

And then Clara happened to be standing outside literally right then? I wonder if that was going to be a big quest location and we just happened to arrive right before the game told us to go there anyway. I think that’s it actually. We’re so good, damn. Clara keeps pulling shit and then immediately trying to reconcile and asking for help. I really like her, but we really shouldn’t be trusting her right?

Oh Murky was also there and she set up a meeting between us and her “friend” and that night we went and Clara and Changeling were both there and I’m so confused???? What is her deal? But!! Changeling facilitated a deal between me and the plague! And Murky is now off the hit list!!!!!!!!!! Does this mean she’ll live? Anyway the plague started talking to us, and our infection rose a bit in an unhealable way, and, dumbasses that we were, said “wow this is probably all just the natural consequence of the bargain we made. Guess there’s literally nothing we can do to address this.” (Spoiler: That is not the case, the cost of the pact was literally just that we became infected and would have to cure it with fire before it killed us. We figured that out eventually, I promise.)

Fast forward to the next day after we finish the day’s entire fucking plotline, when we have done literally nothing so our infection’s increased a shit ton and it starts actually killing us. And since we only have like half our potential health bar from getting killed so much, we literally can’t survive long enough to treat it. We run around trying to cure ourselves and die like ten more times before we finally accept that we just have to go back in time to before the infection was this bad, try to get cured immediately, and redo the whole day. There’s a whole fucking skeleton out by the theatre by now btw. Fucking death spirals. This play session took a long fucking time okay?

Alright, flash backward again. After talking with Changeling, we visit Stakh because after rescuing him twice in a row he promised we could talk. We go to his house and he’s sleeping, or maybe just pretending to sleep, but either way Artemy has the absolute sweetest little monologue, just talking to him, and so much has happened but I can tell there’s still a lot of tenderness there between them even if it’s buried deep, and it’s just such a soft scene against such a harsh story.

Guess who’s dead by morning.

The next day Aglaya showed up and was like “see me immediately,” so obviously we visit Capella and then town hall first off. Daniil’s there, he bitches to me about Aglaya for a bit. So cute, we really are friends. I promise to help him with corpse duty bc Capella wanted me to visit Grace anyway. We talk to the official people at the official desks, one is collecting babies, one is giving me some lunch money as a very good reward for being a very good little surgeon, and one is telling me that actually money is illegal now but here are some free coupons that actually are too cheap to buy anything with.

Aglaya is the woman from the prologue! Hhhh things are really building to a point, aren’t they. I wonder how Yulia knows her. But damn, the whole village was out there waiting to meet with her weren’t they.

I made a deal with the rat prophet to clear some space in the graveyard so Grace would be okay. Dunno what will come of that. I’ve been seeing him everywhere lately though.

I met with Oyun and gave him my dad’s house. I met with Aspity and was like “did you kill Stakh” and she gave me some vague shit, and in general I am very upset at the kinfolk right now but I tried to save them anyway. Went to the termitary and did the whole termitary thing. Wow that sure is a place, right? God, have I ever mentioned how much I love all the screaming soundtracks  in this game.

Damn, Taya’s whole child queen vibe is unsettling.

The whole termitary is horrible, and what the kin folk have been put through is horrible, but their obsession with blood and strength legit terrifies me. I’ve spent all my time until now trying to convince everyone that they aren’t bad, and that they aren’t to blame for the disease, but now they want to kill? And they really really really want me to be a killer too. And the whole thing with Taya is creepy as fuck too, she’s just a kid. Anyway, we’re sending Vlad the older to them, I don’t know whether he or his son deserves to be torn apart more, but Changeling was really upset at the idea of Vlad the younger going there, so I guess we’re backing her. We run all around town making sure the right Olgimsky is going, and then we realize we actually have a few hours left so we take a hospital shift too! And then we die of disease like six times.

Okay, flash forward again, we’ve gone back, gotten some guy to molotov cocktail us, redone the entire termitary thing, saved the game on Vlad’s clock after sending him to his doom (sorry dude). That’s where we’re at currently.

(Only it’s not actually, we went back and spent like an hour going back and forth between the termitary and Oyun again trying to deal with their shit, and everyone was like “murder all dissenters :D” and I was like “what the fuck” and the day was almost over but then a dude stabbed us and we randomly died, and none of these places had clocks, so at that point we were basically like “yeah it’s after midnight, let’s just call it quits.”)

Anything else......oh, the warehouses are at risk again. Notkin and Sticky, what would I do if anything happened to them. I hope my medicines are good enough, I gave some to Bad Grief too but now all there really is to do is wait. :(

Oh, I once again have thoughts on how fucking theatrical is it that everything in the game is simultaneously literal and metaphorical, it’s gorgeous, and have I mentioned the costuming choices for the Orderlies and the Plague, hhhhhhhh, not to say anything nice about Mark fucking Immortell, but he knows what he’s doing with this thing. Listen if this post weren’t already way too long I would just gush about the theatrical elements again, but sadly it is too long.

I wasn't planning on shading this one, but The Arcana characters without shading just look wrong. Anyway, here we have Shade and his two dumb himbo boyfriends, finding their old anatomy/work notebook, probably somewhere in the underground dungeons. They apparently also used it to write down and doodle during work breaks and trips.. to Vlastomil's estate most likely. Julian recalls that yes, Shade would indeed spend a lot of time with the courtiers when not working or studying magic/medicine; Lucio on the other hand is not exactly thrilled about this (I tried really hard to make is expression a mix of concerned, miffed and a bit angry, not 100% rage, cuz... he's not really angry, just shocked). For funsies, if it's hard to read the notes on the doodles: - Near the portrait of Valdemar: "Note: they saw me draw". - "Wiggler" near... well, the doodle of Wiggler. - "Vulgora flipped another table..." near the bottom left doodle of Vulgora. - "Wine bitch wasn't around today :)" Near the bad doole of Valerius. Valerius is the only one Shade wasn't close to, and almost never showed up at the tea parties, Shade and Vulgora probably pranked him when he was around too. Now, addressing the obvious; if the courtiers knew Shade before they died... why do they interact with them the way they do in the game? Well, there's a variety of reasons: - All 5 in general not recognizing the MC: this is already canon (especially Valdemar, it's canon that you worked with them alongside Julian so... they just don't aknowledge that). In my case: all 5 aren't quite sure on their first meeting that it was Shade, because they changed so much (and went under a different name may I add, Asra had them change it because just their old name would trigger an headache). - Valerius is kind of a bitch and the wine spilling happens like in the old prologue (full on spill on purpose), because even tho he isn't sure they're the same person, he's a petty bitch that holds a grudge. - Volta takes until after the end of the story to recognize Shade, and is the one they reconnect with the fastest, once they find the notebook they go talk with her and even free her from the Devil's chains; she's the only demon that goes back to being human, purely because she wants to and Shade is happy to help (yes I'm still salty that (for now) she only gets an happy ending in Nadia's route, so in my HC she always gets freed post-ending.) - Vulgora doesn't interact with the MC much so they really only figure it out later on; idk what happens to them, they fall in a frozen lake in my main route and it's unknown what happens afterwards, so for now they're stuck in the arcana realms. - Vlastomil is,,, an interesting case, he's the one that was the closest with them, so he was really put off when he realized (I'd say midway trough the story?) that Shade was his old friend... but with none of the memories. Especially in Lucio's route (my main one) Shade wouldn't be too thrilled about the notion, but since Lucio isn't bound to any of his old contracts anymore (so technically there's no reason for Vlastomil to attack him), they make an attemt at talking to him again and reconnect only after quite a bit of time has passed, to be safe (they also have a new familiar they found during an exploration they went on with Lucio; let's just say it's not Ginger but Lucio is still definetly not fond of him... while Vlasty might be). Due to all of this I have to retcon and say Shade definetly doesn't get Ginger for a long time (I also plan on redesigning her so, there's that). - Valdemar is the one that I probably need to explain the most lol. Obviously they have no moral compass, and what little consideration they had for Shade before was thrown out the window after they were brought back without memory. They actually meet once before Nadia introduces them; this is early and brief enough that Valdemar actually doesn't recognize them, but they're the one that catches up on it the fastest. They have of course no regard for them and absolutely would have no problem vivisecting them (again, Lucio's route problems lmao), Shade gets lucky that they're interrupted. Shade had absolutley zero plans on reconnecting with them, but after talking with Julian, and asking Vlastomil about how they used to hang out, they decide to at least try and talk to Valdemar, if anything because having them as friend is better than being enemies. It takes trial and error, Shade starts out by going to meet them in the old dungeon in secret and talk, Valdemar couldn't care less at first, to them it wasn't even the same person; if anything they could be a good test subject. Then Shade starts bringing dead animals for them to dissect, then follow along with the experiments and studies, then starts to help by using magic to make certain organs or limbs move ecc. Eventually they get Valdemar to talk a bit more and fill in Julian's blanks (He could only recall the interaction he'd seen; Shade would often stay behind to work with them overtime), they start being more comfortable around them, addressing them as "doctor" again and not getting goosebumps every time they got close or touched them. The others find out about this waaaay into the process, all of them range from weirded out, to worried, to extreme concern/fear (Lucio); Julian is the one that comes around an accepts it the fastest, he's seen it before after all, but for the others it takes a bit more time. In the end the group may or may not have reformed, with tea parties and reunions happening every time Shade comes back from an expedition with Lucio, he's invited as well of course, but almost never comes along at first (after the first few times he bonds with Vulgora over fighting/sparring and over who can throw chairs the furthest, they get along well enough). So yeah, more the arcana stuff, I was planning on drawing more courtiers stuff, but honestly I don't have the energy and there's still two books left of Lucio's route that may change stuff again so I'm gonna wait. I have to update my MC's outfit and fams tho.

donghyuk is kinda late

on the first day

to the first lecture

of the first semester you get it

anyways, in case you didn’t notice, he’s late

not rlllllly late it just seemed like it bc the prof started a couple minutes earlier than scheduled and he walked in alone afterwards

and besides, he isn’t the last person into the lecture theatre anyways

so he walked into the lecture theatre cursing the architect who designed the room so that the entrances were at the front at either end of the stage so everyone could see who walked in and out

luckily, since it was the first day, the prof excuses him bc he was likely a first year who got lost

but he’s technically a second year who only just decided on a major so here he is, taking a first year biology subject

so by the time he walks in, the only available seat closest to the entrance he walked in from is next to yours fate wills it so

so he sits there with a small smile at you but didn’t really bother you afterwards until

the prof’s reading out the syllabus and key dates and even tho you’ve already got it all outlined in your prewritten notes off the subject handbook, you listen intently to make sure you didn’t miss anything

the boy next to you starts rummaging around his bag and stops, then lets out a disbelieving exhale under his breath

you notice and look over at him

he makes eye contact and laughs a little harder, making you smile

“did you forget something?”

“i’ve forgotten my laptop in my dorm...” he tells you in a whisper, screwing his eyes shut and tilting his head back in disbelief

you have to stifle a laugh “oh no... do you have a class right after this?”

he shakes his head no, “i have an hour free, thank god.. i’ll run back and get it later”

you turn back to the professor, but you find it against your conscience to just leave it at that

"do you... want me to send my notes over to your email?”

“ah, that’s fine. this lecture should only be about the syllabus anyway, i can find that online. thanks, tho” he adds, nodding and shooting you a grin

since the prof started a tad earlier than scheduled, they finished early and gave some time for you to “introduce yourselves to the person next to you”

so you turn to him because the girl next to you had already become acquainted with the person on her other side

“i’m donghyuk. second year here, but i just chose my major, so i’m taking first year classes this year.”

you nod, “my/n, i’m first year. yeah.”

“cool. i thought so,” he nods back

“was it the first year subject that gave it away?”

“nah, it was the fact that you had prewritten notes of the syllabus but actually listened to the prof”

you laugh, “touché”

a short silence you lowkey hate silence but most of the time you rely on the other person to keep the conversation going unless you’re super close and you have a lot to talk about

“so what major did you choose?”

“med, to get into paediatrics”

you light up, “ooh! i’m thinking of med too”

“really?? nice, any field you’re thinking of?”

“i’m considering midwifery or nursing, actually”

he naturally offers a fist bump and you’re glad it’s not awkward

“eyy! let’s save the children! you deliver them, i’ll treat them. maybe we’ll have children ourselves and you teach me how to deliver” he grins jokingly

you laugh and decide he’s easy enough to talk to bc you lowkey didn’t realise he meant your own children like between you two

“no, but seriously, this is like one of those cheesy movies, we could be partners in med and then partners wed”

a short pause as you process

“nah i’m kidding lol.. unless” stop flirting with the wrong girl donghyuk

he giggles at your reaction and you realise he’s actually joking so you decide to join in

“oh my god we’re moving too fast donghyuk” to which he laughs out loud

by the end of the lecture, you realise that maybe he’s like this with everyone he meets and in the next lecture, he’ll sit somewhere else and befriend other people like this so you decide not to make any promises to sit next to each other but

“do you have insta?”

“oh—yeah, give me a sec”

you fish your phone out of your bag and let him type in his user

“thanks for offering to send me the notes, by the way, i owe you one”

you shake your hands in front of you “oh, that’s fine, don’t worry about it”

“nah, let me know if you need something”

so you consider

“actually.. you said you had a free hour after this right”

“yeah”

“can you show me where this building is.. i still can’t find it and i’ve got that class next”

“oh yeah sure”

so he walks you to the building and on the way, you pass his dorm (he insists he’ll get his laptop after he drops you off since you don’t have time to wait) so when he points it out, you say that your dorm is just across from his

“oh, you live on campus?”

“yeah! i really like my roommate”

“that’s good. my roommate’s old” sry mark

“how old?”

“third year”

“that’s not old!”

“he’s already groaning about a sore back when he gets out of bed tell me he’s not getting old”

anyways he drops you to the building and tells you to text him if you don’t know where a building is

then you arrive at your dorm after your last class, your roommate comes in and tells you about this third year she met in her first year class and you tell her about the new friend you made, laughing about how he highkey flirted with you on the first meeting

you find that he’s accepted your follow request and liked your one post

if you were told that you would be best friends in a couple of weeks

you.. could honestly believe that , because of how well your humour code matched his and how he was good at leading conversations and seeing the fact that you were comfortable enough to make your own semi flirtatious remarks back, you were going to become very close very fast

but oh well ,, let’s see how this plays out

also, regarding Bubs’s story, meta aside, i'm so glad this story expends on Bubs so much

I was a bit frustrated by wmtsb bc i felt he wasn't expended on as much as he could be, like there were tons of subtexts but it wasn't much to work on. so i'm super glad it was really well expended on i do like where they went with it (althought the Pandemonium was destroyed? Shalem has enough memories to be working with Lucio???? between the Helel tease in last event and now Shalam who is apparently not as amnesic as she claimed, i REAAALLY would LOVE if we get some Speaker lore/event soon)

but yeah Bubs's ressentment for the primals - how he became half primal-, that Belial decided to ruin his life from day one, and that Lucifer is so perfect he had Another Person Crush On Him So Now He Wants Him Dead (although technically if i remember from 000, when Belial asked Bubs to kill Lucifer Bubs originally wasn’t fan of the idea and only went with it bc Belial wouldn’t help him otherwise, so it’s possible even Bubs wasn’t officially wanting to kill Lucifer... smh. Poor Feru. So pretty, so good, so sweet and everything just goes wrong around him.)

All of it was pretty good. Also some expensions on Astrals Administration lore which is always nice. And the fact that they were already wrestling with Otherworld’s creatures?? Man I’m still so intruigued by the Otherworld stuff....

And on top of just expending on Bubs we get more on Lucilius too which is always really welcomed. Both of them have Gods’s complexs and at least for Lucilius it was kinda made clear in 000 it’s because he’s Sahar’s clone and was called to it, but since Bubs being Shalem’s is only explicit in her FE and now in this quest, it was more unclear why he also had the same complex Lucilius did until then. 

But yeah also the fact Lucilius didn’t create Lucifer so much so out of narcissism or out of a way to make a clone as if he had a lingering feeling to be one and all, but really out of a “Lucilius had the wit but not the power and body to put them into action, so he created Lucifer for that” puts a nice spin on their relationship and makes me even more nyemo over how much Lucilius doesn’t feel well with Lucifer’s death when he returns. Even so Belial made sure to give him Lucifer’s body - now Lucilius having both the power and wit and yet be unwell with that. And back to how Bubs condemn him for how he “ordered Lucifer to call him his friend” and Lucilius correcting “i didn’t order him anything, he does it out on his own free will and it’s easier to accept it” and it’s just,, how he kept encouraging Lucifer to develop his own free will as well.

And ofc let’s just sprinkle a bit of Belial’s inferiority complex again (”the name that was bestowed upon me is Belial” knowing Belial means worthless is like. G o d Belial you shouldn’t have just been resenting Lucifer for Lucilius’s approval someone who calls you Worthless is not worth it. Also he gets irritated when someone asks him about Lucifer too again and it’s just. so sad.) and all in all Belial’s terribleness (and also i find it interesting Belial did this much sexual innuendos to Bubs that early in the timeline (before the angels were created) knowing in 000 we see he barely do any of those near Lucifer. I feel like i’ve read somewhere this is how Belial shows having interest in someone? Man i feel so bad for Lucifer&Belial’s relationship....)

It’s funny tho bc i’ve mostly seen the flashbacks part so i didn’t see much of the Sandalphon’s stuff in it, but apparently they’re so good... as in i have a Sandalphon fan friend who had a meltdown over the prologue. Sandalphon seems more at ease at his coffeeshop as ever from what i’ve heard, and in the ending there is a reverse moment where MC is falling from an island, straight to the Crimson Horizon only for Sandalphon to grab t heirhand and save them and it’s just... how the tables have turned..... He who wanted to throw MC into the Crimson Horizon by the end of wmtsb...  (honestlyyyy Sandalphon has one of the best redemption arc i’ve read... sandalphon i love u so much)

so yeah if we forget the fight wants you dead this is super neat and i like what bribe of plots i’ve seen around.

Hiya!! I'm so glad you like it so far! I technically did start it on my main, however I need to update the chapters cause I've changed a LOT about them, I'll probably be posting the first two(the prologue and chapter one) sometime really soon!

As for getting to know the characters, sure! It's gonna be really unorganized tho 😅

Also in the story itself though we don't meet most of the characters(the human ones at least) until later on but I will be drawing them a LOT

Evanna(Species - Dali) : She's a well respected queen of the kingdom Tongyi! However, cause her mother wasn't great whatsoever, Evanna got stuck with a war that began before she took the throne. She's reckless and puts the safety of others above her own, and she really loves poetry! She has a whole library filled with as many poetry books she could get her hands on, as well as some of her own works. Evanna's also Aro/Ace!

Erin(Species - Dali) : Erin is Evanna's head guard, and is always by her side(unless he's out of commission). He's the one that's prevented an early death for Evanna so far. He has a wonderful wife named Azzy, who he absolutely adores! He gushes about her to anyone who will listen, and she gets to stay at the castle with him and Evanna. Erin's pretty intelligent, and despite being a soldier his actual powers are fairly weak, and he relies more on strength than energy(despite looking like a beanstalk-). He's also very touchy and loves kissing people's foreheads, hands, cheeks, etc. Unless it's with Azzy, those are all platonic

Nezu(Species - Dali) : One of the most powerful healers of their age, Nezu was kept hidden from the world for as long as they can remember. Their parents were just looking out for them. Both ended up dying in a battle so Nezu finally got to leave the house and actually help the wounded, and even heals Evanna! Nezu's quite curious about a lot of things, and can very easily kick your ass if you disrespect someone close to them. Also they're like,,, 12-14 in the beginning of the story and they're small but ends up being a highly admired healer within like a year cause of their crazy healing abilities

Dani(Species - Dali?) : Grew up in the kingdom Hayes, until his parents were killed and his brother took the throne. Dani instead of being prince still was kinda,,,, exiled from the kingdom, and once he reached Tongyi he was put into the orphanage. Once he's older, Evanna adopts him cause she needs an heir but she refuses to have a biological child. He's a huge jerk cause of isolation and all that but he warms up to Evanna quickly. It takes him longer to warm up to the visiting(and later resident) humans though. Oh, he's also bisexual! He also doesn't like kissing on the lips, but loves forehead and nose kisses

Leona(Species - Human+???) : So Leona also had a rough childhood, her brothers disappeared from her life early on, her parents were neglectful. They kicked her out when they found out she was lesbian, and Leona had no way to support herself. She ended up turning to a life of crime, and was soon one of the youngest members of an organization called Tempest. Tempest was a government experiment, combining various DNAs into a human and seeing how that affected them, except it became very corrupt and the leaders would give out assignments to go kill anyone who posed a threat to them. Leona works her way up the ranks fast cause she's good as an assassin, and has only not completed 1 mission to date

Marie(Species - Human) : Marie actually had a great childhood! She was loved dearly by her moms and although her and her brother had their differences, they were still there for one another. Their biggest argument(that lasted nearly three months) was about Marie being bisexual and how her brother didn't believe it(he came around and apologized profusely to her, and since has learned more about LGBTQ+ stuff). Something really tragic happens not long before she adopts a fifteen year old, however imma leave it at that. Marie also works at a cafe that supports those who've been through something very traumatic, and she adores her job.

Jeremiah(Species - Human?+???) : Jeremiah was also part of Tempest, his parents both being part of the organization and prompting him to join. He was often just called "Pup" by everyone. Jeremiah's actually trans! However he doesn't feel he needs nor wants top surgery. He wasn't a field Tempest member like Leona though, he was an engineer. A really skilled one too. Sexuality wise he's panromantic asexual! Also he's pretty short(as are many of these characters) Loves cuddling!!

Taylor(Species - Human?) : Taylor was the teen adopted by Marie! While Marie is quite sweet, Taylor's personality is actually far more similar to Leona's and to an extent, Evanna's. She gets called Aunty Tay by any small child for some reason and she just m e l t s. Really loves Marie and the rest of the Sydney family. Taylor's actually quite protective! Especially of her younger cousin. She's polyamorous(probably spelling that wrong-) however doesn't really consider herself as part of the LGBTQ+ community(I'm pretty sure poly people are included?) cause she otherwise identifies as hetero.

I would love for you to repeat the “scary” - Part for all thiose who have played Hajimari and made this idiot one of their favorite Trails characters ever. (I am serious here. Give this backstabbing murderer a freaking redemption Arc and and the Players are sudeenly pretending he is the greatest guy ever...)

It took me ages to actually fully understand that the curse not just makes them want war and stop thinking of any possible consequences, but also makes them forget their heroes who they would usually trust to bring an end to this nonsense. It takes away hope of ending this war before it started and also makes sure people only trust the military and no one else.

Xin is propably another victim of the Audio-Drama-CD-Course. Because once again, he is a character that suddenly showed up, had some sort of connection to the main characters (or at least one of them) and we have no idea who this person is or were the connection comes from. Its frustrating, really.

Its not like we as the players have any right to know or reason to want to know what those two are talking about... so keep it vague, its not like we care or anything... MY ASS!

I always wondered if they inteded for Jona to be Tios loveinterested eventually. Technically speaking, Tio belongs to Lloyds Harem, but with the direction Hajimari went and honestly the Crossbellgames as well I felt like it was always intended for Elie to eventually end up as Lloyds Canon-Partner, making character like Tio and Noelle available for other. (In Noelles case, it seems to go into Wazys direction... tho I always thought he way gay... but the game is queer-baiting a lot, so lets not even try to get there...) Anyway... I think that is a way smarter move then what they did with Reans harem. I mean, look at Hajimari. Technically speaking Rean has chosen his Girl at this point, is together with her for like half a year even, yet he gets into the hotspring with Claire, does his usual unintended and yet strong  flirting and here we are talking about a character you could never really date and yet, despite being REALLY at that age, she still is kept open just for staying an option for Rean. That is NOT a good thing for stronger who are as strong and independent as our Cold Steel Girls are. You might argue that an independent girl doesn’t need a boyfriend in the first place and to some degree you are right BUT keeping herself warm for Rean destroys the picture of independence completely. After all those years especially Claire deserved to move on. But I degres. (BTW... total bullshit what they do here. Schera already called him Jona, and we barely see his freckles from this angle anyway...)

Just in case you haven’t been down already, Jona makes sure that you will feel heartbroken, thinking of the fact that Scheras Name was the last thing he talked about before he got blown up and that there were probably many things left unsaid when that happened. And even tho Olivert mentions her, we haven’t seen her at all in CS3 and given that even Agate barely had any time for his princess, overprotective as he is, its very likely that Olivert and Schera als well did not have much time with each other. Given Schera probably lots of regrets.

Not enough pain for you yet? Watch Schera suffer while she remembers Oliverts last words to her and seeing how he got blow up while she was still in Heimdall doing Bracer-Stuff.  

And now we have FINALLY finished all the Introduction-Sequences and start with the actual Prologue. Yes, its been like 1 and a half hours or so, just watching scenes with non of our main protagonists. It felt actually like half the time the game was only making sure we remember painfully well that Olivert is dead. You know... just in case you had any hope left. We got nothing about Class7 not old nor new. Nothing about Rean. No sign of Osborne or Crow either. All we know is, that behind the scenes, people who are not class 7 are gathering to do what they can, while we are heading towards war very fast the curse is doing its job.

This here surprised even me XD Who would have thought of all people to start Cold Steel 4 with, we start with the Main couples of the previous Trails-Sagas and their adopted children? ^^’ Working together no less. I mean, obviously those characters know each other and have been working together before, but it is still a rare sight you would not expect in a freaking Cold Steel Game.

Honestly? I’ve I would have been ask to tell one single good thing that the Crossbell-Saga brought into the Trails-Saga then the answer would definitely be KeA XD So I can absolutely understand Estelle here.

Just in case you have forgotten that prince Olivert is dead or just in case you have been trying to get over it and move on... here is your casual regularly reoccurring reminder that we have lost him. When I played the game for the first time I already knew he was alive, but I had just finished CS3 for the first time and the pain of seeing him die was quite fresh so I still felt like crying every time they mentioned Oliver was gone and that happened A LOT XD

If you think about it, for us as the player, this prolouge was fanservice at best. WE do know what happened in Heimdall and we also do know the gist of what they are planning next. I get that they wanted to show us how those 6 found out about everything but it still seems somehow unnecessary to go all the way to create this section of the Orchis tower just for a Prologue that wasn’t exactly necessary.

Then again... this was probably supposed to be a hold-off. Think about it. The last time you saw Rean, he was in chains, propably still out of his mind, somewhere in the dark. Class7 old and new were still stuck in the Gral with all the enemies when shit went down. Tita, Tio, Towa (playing the T-Game just for fun here ;P) and the others were still fighting outside against strong enemies. We knew that Crow got his memories back but not what he was going to do with it. Same goes for Duvalie finding out that she was not happy with what her Lord decided. So right now, with the constant reminder that Olivert will not swoop in with his Couragous any second now to save our guys and girls, we are kept from finding out what happened to the people we really care about right now. Don’t get me wrong here, of course we are happy to see Estelle and Co. again, but its not like they have been in immediate danger last time we saw them. And yet... the way we have to go now is anything but short.

Its extremely adorable how, after you win a battle KeA comes running to the Victory-Screen to congratulate you XD

It makes one wonder how long it will take to see them back in action now that the Calvard-Arc is starting. Only 10% of Charakters showing up there will be know ones and it is hinted that we will only see people like Killika. Zin and Renne. So it might be a while (after Hajimari that is) until we see those guys again at all, yet alone working together.

This is all going under a cut because it’s long. Just a warning, there are mentions of abuse and rape and suicide when I get to Saeran. It’s nothing detailed it’s literally just mentions but just in case

Zen – I’ve mentioned before that I don’t like Zen but I don’tthink I’ve ever explained why. It’s not really that deep honestly Zen is justNot My Type. Like, really Not MyType. I don’t like people (guys especially) who are really overtly flirty and forwardlike he is because it makes me super uncomfortable and I’ve had some badexperiences with guys like that, so Zen just immediately struck me as the sortof person that I would try very hard to get away from him if he ever approachedme in real life. I couldn’t even see myself wanting to be friends with someonelike Zen in real life I just don’t think we’d ever click. It was just a gutreaction, I don’t expect it would be the same for everyone. That, and also Ireally hate how he treats Jumin. He’s so unnecessarily vicious toward Jumin andit upsets me. My opinion on Zen has cooled considerably in the last few monthssimply because there’s a lot of other stuff for me to direct my salt at now butyeah I can’t say I like him at all

Jumin – Funny thing about Jumin, the very first time Iplayed the game I initially wanted to play his route first, because I thoughthe seemed cute in the prologue chat, then was disappointed to find out that Icouldn’t romance him in casual story. I wasn’t super attached or anything so I gotover it fast but yeah I guess technically Jumin was the first character to catchmy eye. Also I really love Jumin. I know he’s pretty… controversial lmaoeveryone seems to have really strong opinions about Jumin whether positive ornegative. But I like him because I see him as a very flawed but ultimatelygood-hearted person who is genuinely trying to improve himself, but doesn’talways understand the kind of effect he can have. He’s not perfect by any meansbut he’s trying and there’s something about him that I find so endearing soyeah I love Jumin

Seven – Haha. Hm. I like Seven, I really do. I also feel…complicated about Seven. Because I wish I liked him more than I do. There are afew things holding me back from really loving Seven, like for one thing I’m akind of bitter that he gets so much more attention than any other character. Iget why he does since he’s the canon route, but it also kind of bothers me thatthere’s a canon route at all, since it’s not very fair to people who hadfavorites other than Seven and also it makes the other routes feel pointless. Iget that they had to wrap the story up somehow, and they couldn’t have writtena full ending for every route because some characters just aren’t thatconnected to the over-arching plot so… I see why they did it the way they did.It still kind of sucks tho. Also Seven is really difficult for me to connectwith emotionally because he just feels very… forced? Idk how to explain this I’mtrying really hard to put it in words but it’s like he’s so obviouslytailor-made to be popular? Like he’s an amalgamation of every popular charactertrope. I mean every character fits into a popular trope of some kind but Seven justfeels so on the nose it’s distracting. Oh, you know what Seven reminds me of?He reminds me of the kind of fantasy boyfriend I would invent and write formyself when I was a teenager. Tortured past, jokes to hide his pain, is reallymean to me because when I was young I was manipulated into thinking this wascute but if I’m persistent enough he’ll be nice. Hm. Well, my tastes havedefinitely changed, thankfully. That’s why I like Seven so much more on other character’sroutes than I do on his own. As a side character he’s good, but when I’m forcedto focus on him, it’s hard for me to connect

Saeran – I literally love Saeran more than I love myselfokay moving on

Okay fine not moving on just yet. Yeah so Saeran is tiedwith Yoosung as my second favorite character y’all I really love Saeran. Loving Saeran is also very difficult for mebecause I hate 99% of the other Saeran fans in the fandom. I hate peopleromanticizing his trauma and mental illness. I hate people saying that it wouldbe hot if he abused or raped them. I hate people excusing his crimes because,as much as I sympathize with him and as much as I understand that he’s reallynot in his right mind for most of the game, a lot of the shit he pulls ispretty inexcusable, especially if we’re taking bad endings into account (oh forthe record I also hold Seven accountable for shit that people constantly try toexcuse him for… can we just hold characters accountable when they do somethingwrong thanks bye). A lot of the more popular interpretations of Saeran make medeeply uncomfortable, so it’s hard for me to find content for him that I canreally enjoy. But the reason I love Saeran so much is… a bit personal anddifficult to explain but um. Okay so, when I was doing his part of the secretendings, it was really hard for me to get through because Saeran’sself-loathing and suicidal ideation hit very close to home for me. As I wasgoing through it I actually wished that someone had warned me that it was goingto get so intense. People told me it was going to be emotional, but I was notproperly prepared for… that. But, in the end I liked it. I liked that we got tosee him begin making strides toward recovery after all that he had beenthrough. It gave me hope and comforted me a bit, so Saeran is really importantto me for that

Rika – She would need a whole post of her own for me toproperly explain how I feel about her honestly, but the very short version isthis: I love her as a character and as a villain (please note the emphasis on those words), also love her more in conceptthan for how she’s actually written in the game. Also I’m super uninterested inengaging anyone in Rika discourse so don’t @ me thanks

Vanderwood – I like them, they’re a fun side character. WowI thought I would have more to say about Vanderwood but I actually really don’tokay I guess we’re done here

Howdy! Here’s the first official chapter for you!

Side-note, I could watch pointe ballet forever and never get bored, it’s so fucking pretty omg, so expect a lot of ballet gifs.

Prologue - Chapter 1 - Chapter 2

Chapter 1: Should Fate Be Kind

Word count: 1,570 words.

Story summary: Human/normal/non supernatural universe wherein Stiles is half way through college when, one night after passing a particularly hard midterm, he meets a cute girl while celebrating by himself at a bar. They share a passion filled night of fun, but she’s gone by the morning. In an effort to find her, he goes back to the bar but finds an old high school flame instead.

Seven years, a failed marriage, and a child later, Stiles finds himself taking his daughter to her first ballet class and who should the teacher be but Cinderella Girl?

Warnings: Some serious shade being thrown, A verbal beat down of a typical Suburban Mom™, (honestly just a fucking straight up murder)(not really tho).

“Yes, Lydia, we’re sitting in the car right outside the place, right now. I’ll bring her over after okay?” Stiles promised, watching as the little red haired girl sip on her water from the rear view mirror.

“Fine... Just make sure the other kids are nice to her, okay? And don’t call her Ronnie in there, they’ll tease her.” She fretted over the phone.

“I won’t.” He promised. “Is it okay if I go now, we’re gonna be late.” He told her.

“Oh, yeah, sorry. Jordan says to tell her good luck.” She said before hanging up.

“You ready honey?” Stiles asked turning back to look at her as he pocketed his phone.

“Yes daddy.” She smiled as she unbuckled her seat-belt and went for the door. Stiles cut the car’s engine and got out to help her out of the car and took her hand to keep her from running off as he got her ballet bag out of the back.

“Alright, let’s go. Mommy and Jordan both wish you good luck today.” He told her.

“What about you daddy?” She asked.

“Of course I wish you good luck too, but I know you won’t need it because you’ll do well no matter what.” He assured her, watching as she hopped up onto the sidewalk just outside the building.

He grabbed the door for her and let her walk in ahead of him. Once inside he took her hand again and led her towards the group gathering near the door that led to the studio room.

“... So while the first lesson today is technically free, there will be a hundred dollar charge for each child to continue. Additionally you are expected to pay for the outfits, the shoes, and the costumes for the recital at the end of the year.” The black haired woman who stood in the middle of the group was saying as the door slammed behind Stiles and his daughter.

“And I expect you to be on time.” She added tersely.

“Sorry, I know. I had trouble getting Ro-Veronica’s hair up.” He said as everyone looked at him. The group parted as the dark haired girl stepped forward and Stiles eyes widened.

“Single dad?” She guessed after looking at the haphazard ponytail.

“Cinderella girl?” He blurted. She looked at him like he had three heads.

“It’s.... Evie actually.” She frowned.

“She doesn’t look like Cinderella, she looks more like Snow White.” Veronica corrected.

“Thank you sweetie.” Evie smiled down at her. “Why don’t you go join the other kids in the changing room, you can pick a locker and write your name on it with chalk after you change into your ballet shoes.” She pointed to a doorway and the little girl looked up at her dad for permission.

“Go ahead honey.” He nodded, letting go of her hand. She took her bag from him and skipped into the other room. “Uh-”

“Did you hear my speech about the payment for the class?” She asked.

“Yeah, oh, I read on your website about it, I’ve got a check.” He offered, digging his hands into his pockets.

“You have until next week to pay it.” She said, putting her hands up to stop him.

“But I figured I’ll get it out of the way now.” He shrugged.

“But there are no refunds, and if your daughter decides she doesn’t like ballet then you’re out a hundred dollars.” She warned.

“She’s not going to dislike this class, she’s been begging her mom and I to let her take ballet for two years now.” He promised. Evie sighed.

“I won’t accept that check today.” She decided. “Just wait and see if she actually likes ballet, or if this was just a pipe dream.” She insisted when it looked like he was going to argue.

He huffed out a breath and pouted at her, causing her to smile triumphantly before turning back to the rest of the parents.

“Okay, you all can stay in this room, or if you have to leave for something class ends after an hour.” She informed them. “Street shoes aren’t allowed in the studio so if you have concerns or questions you’ll have to wave me down.” She warned before she stepped into the changing room.

“Alright kids, let’s begin. I’d like you all to follow me into the studio and line up along the barre at the back of the room.” She requested, stepping aside to let the mass of small boys and girls make their way into the dance studio.

Stiles watched as Evie walked in after the kids and closed the door behind herself. She strode over to stand in the middle of the room in front of the wall of mirrors and faced the kids who were lined up along the back wall.

“So today I’m going to teach you basic things like how we’ll stretch throughout the year, how you’ll position your feet, plies, and releves.” She told them.

“Why only that stuff?” One of the little girls asked. Evie smiled.

“Those are the foundation of learning ballet. You need to know the correct positions.” She said.

“But that stuff sounds boring.” Another girl piped up.

And this is why the first class is free. Weeds out the impatient princesses. Evie thought even though she plastered on a patient smile.

“It can be. But without the foundation of those basic, boring things, you won’t be able to learn things like this.” She got up on pointe and spun in a fast circle on her toes before kicking a leg out behind her as she positioned her arms and spun on one foot the second time.

The class let out a collective whoa under their breath and she smiled as she came to a stop and dropped back to stand flat.

“Why can’t we just learn that?” The same girl as before asked.

“Do you know what position my feet started in?” Evie fired back.

“No...” She frowned.

“You need to learn positions. The move wouldn’t have been half as pretty if I hadn’t started in first position.” She moved so her heels were touching and her toes were pointed out to the sides. “I started in this position and went into a releve,” she stood back up on the toes of her pointe shoes, “And then I spun into my pirouette.” She spun on both feet again before lifting a leg behind her and spinning on the toes of one foot.

“But when are we gonna learn the spinning stuff?” The girl demanded.

“Oh shut up already. We’ll learn it when we’re ready to!” A red-headed little girl huffed, fed up with the whining. Evie watched her flick her ponytail back over her shoulder and had to bite her lips together to hold back her grin at the child’s sass.

“Thank you...” She paused, wanting her name.

“Veronica, but my daddy calls me Ronnie.” She told her.

“Ronnie is a boy’s name.” The same snotty child sneered. A couple of other kids giggled and Veronica shrunk down a little.

“And what’s your name?” Evie asked, silencing the room.

“Jessica.” She said haughtily.

“Well, Jessica. I do not tolerate any rude behavior. For the remainder of the class you’ll be sitting against that wall. Participation is a privilege.” She said sternly, pointing off to the side.

When she realized that Evie was serious the child huffed and stomped her way over to the wall.

“Those who laughed will apologize to Veronica or they can join Jessica.” She warned. A handful of mumbled apologies later and Veronica was smiling again. “Alright. Now we can-...” Waving from the window caught her eye and she sighed before going to the door.

“Why the hell is my daughter sitting against the wall?” An uppity mother demanded.

“She was rude to myself and one of her fellow students. I do not tolerate rude behavior-”

“Listen here miss Prima Ballerina wannabe, you’re going to let her participate.”

“No.” Evie said calmly.

“Do you have any idea who I am?”

“You mean besides you being a sad little housewife with a bad dye job in desperate need of an Altoid?” Evie fired off.

“How dare you-”

“You think you can come into my business, tell me what I can and cannot do, when you refuse to mother your own child?” The raven haired woman snapped, cutting her off. “How dare you spend more time worrying about your manicure than taking care of the being that you created. I’d say you need to grow a pair of ovaries and teach your daughter to respect those around her but you need to learn how to do it first before you can teach it.” She snarled lowly. “Take your child and leave, I’ll not be intimidated in my own place of business.”

The mother before her spluttered and Evie turned to look at Jessica.

“Grab your things honey. Your mother is taking you home.” She told her calmly. Jessica glared daggers at the teacher as she stomped passed and stormed into the changing room to grab her bag. Evie closed the door to the dance studio and walked back to the center of the room.

“Let’s begin stretching.” She smiled at the remaining kids.

Stiles stood, start-struck along with all the other parents on the opposite side of the viewing window, speechless at how expertly she’d handled that terrible mother.

shingeki no bahamut: virgin soul ep1-4 impression

All in all, the four eps are pretty solid in establishing the setup of the story imo. Also, this post is centered around azazel.

About Jeanne

The most surprising thing is the fact that Jeanne had a kid. Like, in the prologue, she didn’t show any sign whatsoever???

But right after Charioce mentioned her kid, Jeanne called Michael’s name.

Charioce wanted the kid killed, and the heaven side wanted the kid found in order to save them. The kid, Mugaro, obviously belongs on the God’s side of power spectrum, not from demon’s side like Azazel thought.

So probably there’s no mistaking Mugaro had something to do with Michael the Archangel. The question left is if Mugaro was Michael’s kid, or the incarnation of Michael himself.

Considering the odd eye, I’m more inclined to believe the latter. Michael was the only being shown who had different eyes colors after all.

Also, Jeanne might not even carry Mugaro in a pregnancy. Like, Michael could just appear in a baby form in a flash of blinding light or something and Jeanne was thought of as the mother bcs she was simply with baby Mugaro.

Also I guess it’s time I said goodbye to the hope that Mugaro might secretly be Lucifer like I said before orz

About Nina & Azazel

I’ve remarked a little bit about them here.

It’s… probably would be useful to count how many times they have hugged, and  I’m counting 3x so far: Ep1, when he caught her after thinking she was Mugaro and still didn’t drop her even after realizing she was not Mugaro. Ep4, when they rolled down the street together; that was practically a hug. Ep4, when she asked him to hug her (this particular hug won all the awards in my book)

Also, Azazel already saw her naked 2x: Ep1, presumably after she went back to human form and he carried her to Rita’s place. Ep4, when Rita picked unconscious Nina up.

Fast development is fast: Ep1, she ran in order to catch him, the Rag Demon, for the bounty. Ep3, she ran in order to save him, the Rag Demon, from being killed.

How many pieces of the same clothes do you think Nina have? Considering every time she turned into a dragon she ripped her clothes to shreds.

Also I thought Azazel’s clothes was part of his demon package, like something he would automatically wear whenever he turned into a demon – much like the way Amira had her demon clothes and hair style every time she transformed only to turn back to her human clothes and hair style when she was done.

But apparently Azazel’s clothes were just… clothes… since he could take them off at will like that.

Also idky but I always had the impression his clothes were a one piece, so finding out he wore proper pants and proper upper garment was just. disappointing? I mean, it’s not like demons and angels even need to go to the bathroom right??? So they could probably wear complicated clothes designs that had no such purpose in mind and maybe just leave some room for the wings??? No I mean srsly what a wasted opportunity???? /is shot

Nina and Azazel did not arm wrestle, but I’m pretty sure even if they did, Nina would win hand down. Also, he would give less of a challenge than the glasses turban man. Also, notice how easily she pulled him in the gif below, like, he toally had no chance against her lmao

Looking at the way he fought, Azazel was not a power fighter; he was more of a speed user, and those wings gave him more range since it meant he could attack from literally any angle.

Azazel & Rita & Kaisar

Kaisar didn’t change at all, in that he didn’t sell out Azazel even though he knew he was the Rag Demon, the way he also didn’t sell out Favaro when he found out Favaro had a demon tail back in s01e02.

Why did he choose to give Azazel the benefit of the doubt tho? I mean, Favaro was his childhood friend, so it was understandable for him to not rat out Favaro. But Azazel didn’t even have such sweet history with him – on the contrary, in fact.

Azazel and Kaisar did have their momentary (?) truce thing in s01e11, but was it enough to make Kaisar trust him that far?

During this scene, rita would know a calm azazel is a dangerous azazel probably.

Bcs he thought with his logic instead of with his emotion.

His resignation tone is also very alarming bcs he was a sore loser who would hardly accept any defeats, and she had been with him for two years; she recognized him accepting defeat was not him. She froze bcs of it, but she didn't say anything bcs she was not sure of where he was going to take this probably.

Him leaving Mugaro in her care probably clinched it for her: he was not alright or maybe, he was starting to go down the demon part, the bad part, where he used ppl up and disposed of them, again.

Anyway, Rita *cared* about him. Like in that scene where she was berating him and threatening to not attend his wounds if he hurt Nina, she instantly reacted and worriedly admonishing him for getting up despite his wounds.

just what happened in those 2-10 years to make Rita cared that much about Azazel?

Rita, Bacchus and Hamsa all knew Azazel was the Rag Demon, and none bothered to tell on him; Rita even appointed herself his doctor (sort of), while Bacchus and Hamsa, while happily printing his wanted posters, seemed to discourage ppl to actually *try* to capture him – if the way Hamsa tried to stop Nina in ep1 was anything to go by.

Kaisar himself seemed to at least have suspicions, but never confirmed it until Azazel spoke to him as Rag Demon and Kaisar recognized his voice.

Similarly, Charioce also seemed to have suspicions on the identity of Rag Demon, but never have it confirmed until he saw his naked face.

He just said ‘it’s you’, not by name, so he was probably only familiar with Azazel’s face from his undertaker job at the arena, and not necessarily bcs he knew Azazel’s identity as former high-ranking demon.

(srsly where’s the rest of high ranking demons anyway)

Kaisar recognizing some soldiers didn’t actually like the current king all that much in ep1.

In S1, the king’s name is Charioce XIII, so how did in just 10 years XIII became XVII??? Did the current Charioce kill them all after they had been appointed a king, and therefore the title number continued on??? That seemed… excessive… like wouldn’t it better to just kill them all before they got the King title???

Alessand just how much did you like Kaisar anyway? Your fanboying was kinda showing.

Also anyone notice how Dias’ ears were a bit pointed? Was he possibly of the demon kind perhaps? Or maybe that was just random character design.

Azazel and Mugaro

Current speculation about Mugaro: Michael’s offspring and/or Michael himself, mothered by Jeanne D’Arc

Azazel picking up Jeanne’s kid is reaaaaally interesting, and not only bcs picking up a kid at all is already surprising for him.

As of S1, things Jeanne did to Azazel: 1. destroyed his gregor castle 2. killed his subordinates 3. shot him and wounded him heavily, helped by Michael’s blessing 4. cut his bigger horns too while she was at it (5. cut his two smaller wings too maybe? I’m not sure but by the time he appeared injured in ep8 his wings were only two, and his smaller wings were never seen again.)

I’m looking forward to the moment Azazel finally met Jeanne again.

I’m even more looking forward to the moment Azazel found out Mugaro was actually Jeanne’s kid.

Bacchus and Hamsa knew Mugaro had different eyes color, and thanks to Sofiel searching for Mugaro, they probably suspected Mugaro had some heaven power or something.

So technically Azazel was the only one who didn’t know that both Heaven and Charioce were searching for Mugaro, and also the only one not suspecting even in the slightest the extent of Mugaro’s powers.

Mugaro himself (herself?) didn’t even seem inclined to show this powers to Azazel and letting Azazel think he had to protect Mugaro, even though ep2 was probably not even the first time Mugaro saved Azazel.

Mugaro’s powers so far: 1. sending off prayers??? Life force absorbing??? Whatever he did to those dying demons to make them disappear in a rain of sparkles. (ep1 - 2) 2. magic force/seal breaking (ep2) 3. making things float (ep2) [Michael showed the same ability in s1] 4. premonition??? (ep4)(this is just a speculation bcs how else would Mugaro knew where to wait in order to catch Azazel?)

IF Mugaro was really Michael and Jeanne’s kid instead of Michael’s incarnation, I really hope she/he would keep staying on Azazel’s side, bcs it would be really interesting to see a kid from a successful angel/human relationship ending up with an angel that became a fallen bcs he loved a daughter of man.

Also orz Belphegor was actually stronger than Azazel in the game, but here she was lower ranked.

Not counting Mugaro, Azazel had a flag with Nina, and possibly Bel as well, since once again he would end up saving a cornered Bel later according to the 3rd pv….

But back to Mugaro, do you think Azazel took that Undertaker job bcs he needed it to stay legitimate in town, or did he do it to spy on Charioce?

He was a demon, his horns were showing through his hat, yet he still didn’t wear the necklace controller thing.

Also, if he had Mugaro with him, didn’t that mean he had to provide a proper house with proper room and bed, proper clothes, proper *human* food, proper… everything?

I MEAN.

Considering Rita and Bacchus’s chosen garment wear, probably Azazel was also the one who chose the clothes for Mugaro, meaning his taste ran more for the upper class side.

Mugaro also had those candies that he shared with the demon kids in ep2, meaning Azazel probably bought them for him, or at the very least gave him the money to buy them.

When he talked to Mugaro, Azazel also tended to use gentler voice. He shouted at Nina a few times, but he never raised his voice when talking to Mugaro.

He also probably often patted Mugaro’s head.

Considering Mugaro was mute and couldn’t tell him his/her name, Azazel was probably the one who *named* him/her Mugaro

He so obviously *cared* so much for Mugaro I’m in pain???? Help???

He went to the capital city, fully aware and fully prepared to lose his life, for the sake of what? Saving several demons, alone? Atone for sins we don’t know about??? What??? Why alone???

I’ve commented before how Azazel might as well be the season’s protag since things are kinda centered around him as of now.

But thinking about it now, he looks more like a damsel in distress bcs he keeps getting saved one way or another, and he always seems to be in distress way too often.
