...Did they seriously just advocate for playing the Ace Attorney series out of order? No way, they did not just do that.

Not playing Ace Attorney in order is absolutely detrimental to your experience of the story. Sure most games recap the events of the previous ones. But hearing about these events in strings of dialog isn't the same as seeing them unfold in game.

There's absolutely no way to connect with certain games properly without playing in order. If you start with aa4, you're not going to care about a random washed-up disbarred attorney. Because you haven't experienced his story yet! Imagine playing investigations collection without knowing who Edgeworth is! It takes away so many elements from the story if you have no baseline knowledge of the timeline.

Since your Phoenix can come back from the dead, I wonder if you can draw Reginald's reaction to finding out about Phoenix's multiple deaths.

(How he finds out is up to you. But if you want an idea: Zoraxis memory reading machine upon Phoenix getting captured.)

rule number one of being a handler: never, ever panic in front of the agent. if you stay frosty, then they won’t panic either. Reginald is going to hang on to these feelings and quietly have a crisis once they’re safely back at base, where Phoenix will never know.

xmen first class to me is really funny because it kind of falls into the trope of so misogynistic its gay but with the age old pre existing already severely homoerotic relationship?? like they tack on a love interest for charles at the end and erik has some weird shit happening with mystique to make it Not Gay but theyve been gay. you are making prequel movies to the "divorced gay men lead leftist infighting; probably shouldve just done a bdsm scene instead of involving everyone else in their shit" movies. and they keep doing it. dofp is fantastic but it continues the mystique/erik plotline. apocalypse brings back moira AND gives erik a wife and child (who only exist to be killed). its never ending no homo for one of the most famously homoerotic duos in marvel while ALSO refusing to make their forced female love interests compelling in any sense. its incredible

The ratio of 'forbidden hospital scene' fics to 'medically accurate Phoenix falls through a flaming bridge into a death river and somehow everyone who could've witnessed it is under the impression that he died' fics is kinda sad to me, I thought ppl would've really latched on to the angst potential of that.

Anyway, I'm sure the second one exists but I just... haven't been able to find it bc this fanbase is like 22 years old and idek where to even look for something like that. Like I get the first one is gay inherently and I love it, but also... I think it's fun to see him suffer. I want someone who could actually realistically depict what could've happened and how crazy it is that he survived practically unscathed, or maybe he didn't and he's real fucked up about it.

”i do have to wonder what caused this phenomenon, though. if it’s something that can be replicated, it would revolutionize, well… everything! you really have no idea?”

Phoenix shook their head.

“on second thought, that might be good. if Zor ever learned how to do it, it would be disastrous. i’ll look into this.” Prism paused, then smiled. “it’s incredible. you really are a phoenix.”

Remember Gem's beehive origin? It wasn't a bee origin, i think the text said it was a lot of bees holding together a form. But my headcanon, which i would've explored more if not for insectophobia, is that she's literally.. a hive. Like, the bees straight up makes home inside of her. That gave me an idea for an urban fantasy new life au, and the irony is that i literally wanted to do the same thing with origins smp, but i accidentally recreated kagepro and i was never the same person again. Either way, didn't go past the ideas stage on both things. I literally want an urban fantasy au so bad but kagepro is literally my only inspo for that 🤷‍♂️ so there's that
