xmen first class to me is really funny because it kind of falls into the trope of so misogynistic its gay but with the age old pre existing already severely homoerotic relationship?? like they tack on a love interest for charles at the end and erik has some weird shit happening with mystique to make it Not Gay but theyve been gay. you are making prequel movies to the "divorced gay men lead leftist infighting; probably shouldve just done a bdsm scene instead of involving everyone else in their shit" movies. and they keep doing it. dofp is fantastic but it continues the mystique/erik plotline. apocalypse brings back moira AND gives erik a wife and child (who only exist to be killed). its never ending no homo for one of the most famously homoerotic duos in marvel while ALSO refusing to make their forced female love interests compelling in any sense. its incredible

The ratio of 'forbidden hospital scene' fics to 'medically accurate Phoenix falls through a flaming bridge into a death river and somehow everyone who could've witnessed it is under the impression that he died' fics is kinda sad to me, I thought ppl would've really latched on to the angst potential of that.

Anyway, I'm sure the second one exists but I just... haven't been able to find it bc this fanbase is like 22 years old and idek where to even look for something like that. Like I get the first one is gay inherently and I love it, but also... I think it's fun to see him suffer. I want someone who could actually realistically depict what could've happened and how crazy it is that he survived practically unscathed, or maybe he didn't and he's real fucked up about it.

Remember Gem's beehive origin? It wasn't a bee origin, i think the text said it was a lot of bees holding together a form. But my headcanon, which i would've explored more if not for insectophobia, is that she's literally.. a hive. Like, the bees straight up makes home inside of her. That gave me an idea for an urban fantasy new life au, and the irony is that i literally wanted to do the same thing with origins smp, but i accidentally recreated kagepro and i was never the same person again. Either way, didn't go past the ideas stage on both things. I literally want an urban fantasy au so bad but kagepro is literally my only inspo for that 🤷‍♂️ so there's that

#new life was so cool like. you had sausage being a fire mage and reborn as a phoenix.#pearl being a star girl and shubble being sunshine girl #pearl getting to like the copper origin dying then dying again and reborn as a copper origin again #pearl and owen being copper golems at the same time #whatever the fuck oli was up to #stacy living in her remote nether house in the middle of a lava lake #martyn and shubble and some others probably stayed on their first lives for the whole series #fire mage gem and owen's entire story arc and shubble's greenhouse and joey's entire 1st episode and the houses at spawn #and joel choosing strange names and pooping skeleton horses and jimmy being The Guy of The Week and the toy boxes martyn kept making #and messing with create and immersive paintings and the freezing fridge freezers or whatever #i probably would've loved/will love afterlife if i ever watch it. sad that new life didn't work out tho #thanks for reading my rambles tho i loved watching that series and just now recounting my favorite moments #ain't rereading all that tho so if i wrote some nonsense or the autocorrect thing messed up. oh well #life updates

do you ever think about the fact that the entire phoenix wright: ace attorney trilogy happens because gregory edgeworth dies.

#I just… that one event… is the reason for everyone else #gregory dying is the reason miles moves away and eventually becomes the demon prosecutor which is the reason why Phoenix starts taking law #classes and Gregory dying is the reason why the fey family’s name gets sullied and is the reason why misty hides away which is the reason #why mia starts looking into the dl-6 case which is the reason she becomes a lawyer which is now she meets Phoenix which is when he sees how #much faith she puts in her clients and how it saved him which is why he fully switches to law and becomes a lawyer. and the whole reason mia #met Phoenix is bc he met dahlia Hawthorne and the entire reason he met dahlia is bc he just happened to be at the courthouse at that #one specific day bc he was doing personal research into the law bc he kept seeing miles edgeworth demon prosecutor and he wanted to save #him. and the entire reason dahlia was there was bc she was cleaning up lose ends from the fawles case which only happened bc her father left #her mother and took her and Iris away. and he left their mother bc she was Morgan fey and her power and influence was gone bc 1. she was #simply the lesser sister and 2. her family name was ruined and power was the only reason he was with her. and so her left and took his #daughters and remarried and dahlia convinced him to leave Iris behind and then. and then. and then.#just.
