there are plenty of good parts of me finally having looked into deconversion resources (validation that i'm not alone in my experiences, examining my beliefs to find out where they come from and if they're harmful, developing a healthier mindset and worldview, etc.) and i would make the choice to do so again
however i gotta say the process of deconstructing things i've been taught literally since birth, realizing how fucked up a lot of it is and how much it's harmed me and most of the people i've ever known, and starting to unlearn perspectives and thought patterns that i had never thought to question before is. well. let's just say it feels like dissolving in acid and not being sure yet what parts of me will make it out the other side
like this was absolutely the right choice for me, i know i'm going to be happier and more mentally well once i've actually examined and worked through the ways christianity shaped my mind and thoughts, it's just fucking scary and overwhelming to pull my perspective on reality apart at the seams and rip out the parts that are rotting yknow. especially since it means confronting a lot of shit i didn't realize i was repressing

In Sickness, And An Elf - Halsin Comfort Short
Written for a dear darling who is feeling unwell, a short and sweet SFW piece of Halsin x Reader to comfort someone suffering from flu (or a similar ailment)
Tumblr media
Short below the cut~ (Yes, the title is a pun, and yes I am proud of it~) --- ---
“My heart?” Halsin’s voice was soft, quiet, his hand already pressing to your forehead. “Too warm…” He muttered, already channeling a little magic to cool his hand. He was right, too. You could feel the fever burning in your cheeks, your head spinning every time you tried to move, your throat raw from the cough that woke you every hour. “Hal-”
“Shhh. There is no need for you to try so hard, my love. I have no intention of going far.” His hand smoothed back the stray hair that had fallen forwards, pushing it behind your ear before cupping your cheek. The kiss on your forehead felt achingly tender. “Close your eyes, wait here.” You nodded silently, earning another brief and chaste kiss to your heated skin before his presence withdrew. The sickness was dreadful, taking its toll on your whole body with the fever, the ache, the shivers that seemed to go from your skin and deep into your bones. Still…there was some comfort to know that the druid was near. Halsin’s footsteps roused you from an uneasy sleep you hadn’t even realised had crept back in, his face a blur as you blinked away to find him kneeling beside your bedroll. “Here, let me help you.” His arm slipped behind your shoulders, his other wrapping around your chest to brace your shoulders and help you sit up. More pillows had appeared behind you than were there when you lay down, providing a place to lean back a little. Your vision cleared more with a few blinks, the worry lines in his brow far clearer now. Golden eyes traced a path across your flush skin, assessing your symptoms quickly.
“Drink this first, my heart, it will help. Even if it does taste terrible.” The mug had a smell of fresh lemon, spiced ginger, and a few bitter herbs mixed into the brew. He chuckled softly. “I am not fond of it either, but it will work.”
Your nose wrinkled after the first sip. “I’m not sure how torture is a cure. Or is this poison to put me out of my misery faster?” “If you are good and finish it quickly, I may consider giving you a reward.” Halsin winked, a wry smile playing across his lips. “But that means no more complaining. Come, now, all of it.” The flavour did not improve, so you decided it would be better to just hold your nose and drain the lot in a few quick gulps. You fought the urge to gag, but true to his word your chest felt eased, your throat stinging yet strangely soothed by the spiced burn of the ginger. “There, that was not so bad, was it?”
“No, it was worse.” You managed a lopsided smile as you handed the mug back to him. “See? Empty. All gone.”
“Very good, my love.” He kissed your cheek, a distraction as he reached behind him. “Just my cheek?” You huffed with mock disappointment. “I thought you promised a reward.” “I do not think raising your temperature further is wise.” Halsin dabbed the sweat from your forehead with a cool and refreshing cloth, the slight scent of mint infused in the water it had soaked in. “We can save anything like that for when you are fully recovered.” “I hope your medicine works fast.” “You’re not the only one…” His reply was so quiet you might not have heard it, especially with your ears feeling as blocked as your nose, but you could have guessed how he felt from the way he shifted his position. “Now, your reward. Open wide.” You closed your eyes, trusting him not to feed you more poison, or medicine if that’s what it was. You were pleasantly surprised by the sweetness that hit your tongue, the slick treat melting down across your tastebuds. There was a slight sting as you swallowed, but it was warm and soothing. You should have guessed this was what he meant. “Honey?” “Yes, my love?” Halsin laughed, already pouring another trickle onto the spoon for you. “A little more, it’s good for you. Then we will see if Gale is done with the soup he has been preparing for you. Karlach has been helping with the bread to go with it, though luckily Wyll is there to ensure it does not burn. Shadowheart and Lae’zel were very insistent on gathering and hunting the fresh ingredients, too. Even Astarion offered to supervise the pot so it doesn’t boil over, though truth be told he may be picking the job that allows him to put in the least effort.”
“You’re all going to these lengths for me? Why?” You felt a few tears threatening to spill from your eyes. You hadn’t known them for long, and often you worried that you were bothering them with your questions or talking to them at camp. “Does it matter?” His thumb gently dried your eyes. “Let yourself be cared for this time. You have given enough of yourself to solve all of their problems, and no doubt you will continue to leap straight into the hells for any one of them.”
You tried to find the words to respond, to tell him that it was only the shared burden that kept them with you, but even in your mind that felt sour. They were putting in an effort, they were showing their care in their own ways.
“As for me,” Halsin continued, pulling the blanket up to wrap closer around you before the chill of the night air could make you feel any worse, the energy slowly leaving you again as your eyes grew heavy. “Well, my heart, that is simple.” The whisper of his affection in your ear was barely audible, the depth of his feelings reaching you at the edge of your dreams as sleep won out once more. The druid pressed one last soft kiss to your head before standing to leave. “Rest well, my love. I hope you feel better soon.”

tips tips tips
1. Drink one glass of water every hour. It will make you feel full.
2. Drink ice cold water. Your body will burn calories just getting the water to a normal temperature to digest. Also it is great for your complexion.
3. Drink 3 cups of green tea daily. It will help boost your metabolism, plus its antioxidants make your skin look great.
4. Take vitamins daily. Do not take vitamins on an empty stomach, otherwise they have nothing to catalyze with.

20. Buy clothes that you can’t fit into and hang them wear you can see them. This will motivate you to lose weight to fit into them.

24. Make yourself a snack, but instead of eating it throw it away. Leave the dirty dishes whereyour parents can find them. They will think you ate.
25. Prepare a list of excuses as to why you can’t eat – You’re sick, you’re a vegetarian, allergic, etc. You’d be amazed at how many good excuses there are.
26. Get out of your house! If you’re not sitting around then people can’t start shit with you about not eating.
27. Join a pro-ana group or start your own website. Anything that will keep you motivated.

32. Avoid alcohol! A shot of liquor has 100-120 calories, a glass of wine has 80 calories, a lite beer has 110-120 calories, and a regular beer has 140-170 calories.
33. Never eat anything bigger than about a cup, your stomach will expand and then you’ll get hungry more.
34. Eat in front of a mirror naked. See how much you can eat then!
35. The smell of coffee is suppose to supress appetite.
36. Wear perfectly applied lip gloss. It makes you more aware of what’s going in your mouth. Also, flavored ones help with cravings.
37. Have 6 small meals a day. Take 2 apples, and split them so you can make 6 meals out of them. That way your body will be tricked into thinking it’s eating more.

43. If you’re a smoker and hungry, light up a cigarette. It curbs your appetite.
44. Eat lots of fiber. It makes you feel full and takes fat with it out of your body. The natural cleansing helps improve both your energy level and overall feeling of wellness.
45. Before you dig into that cake, bag of chips, candy, or whatever, take a deep breath and count to 100. Usually by the time you get to 100 you will have convinced yourself that you don’t really want it.
46. When you’re hungry chug 2 glasses (or how many you need) of straight water. It’ll make you so full and nauseous you will have completely lost your appetite.
47. Celery actually burns calories. Every hour eat a stalk of it. Not only will it fill you up, but it will also get your metabolism kickin’.
48. Weigh yourslef before and after every time you eat. Not only will it eliminate unnecessary eating, but it will make you want to eat less when you see the numbers creep up.
49. Read the nutritional information. Remember, fat-free does not mean calorie-free. Also keep an eye on fiber content. Get as much fiber into your diet as you can, while cutting fat and calories.
50. Don’t eat a lot at once. Spread your food throughout the day. This will help to avoid binging and keep your metabolism going.
51. If you like to drink alcohol, you’ll like this. Make a rule: You can only drink every time you lose 2lbs. So, if you lose 4lbs a week, you can drink Friday and Saturday night. However, if you only lose 2lbs a week, you only get to drink one night.
52. Do not eat in front of the computer or TV. This distracts you from recognizing you’re full.
53. Save the money you would have spent on that meal in a jar. Save it in a bottle instead and watch it grow.
54. Stay away from Slim-fast and other so-called “healthy” candy bars and shakes… one look at the nutition facts will tell you why. With all the carbs and excess calories you may as well go eat a freakin pie or something. Not to mention the rediculous prices… save yourself the money, and the calories.
55. Instead of buying food, buy yourself flowers. Food is depressing, but flowers make you happy.
56. When having cravings drink a couple glasses of water with slices of lemons and count to 100 and it should go away.
57. Eating 100 cals 4 times a day is better than eating a 400 cal meal.
58. An occasional binge doesn’t hurt, in fact it’s quite beneficial if you have reached a plateau (stopped losing weight). Your body will think you have stopped starving yourself, and you will drop at least a pound overnight! Just don’t binge too regularly!
59. Someone told me that if you take a pure cold bath for 15-30 min and lower your body temp, your body burns around 200 cals for every degree it has to raise itself to reach a normal body temperture. This person tried it, a 30 min bath lowered their temp about 3-4 degrees

Sick HC
(Miguel O'Hara x reader)
Synopsis: You find yourself getting sick, how does Miguel react?
Warnings: None
Tumblr media
It started with a simple tickle in the back of your throat, then a few sneezes, some coughs here and there- until eventually everything hit you at once.
The fluctuating temperature of your body was the easiest to hide, as were the coughing and sneezing fits you had because you could merely pass those off as allergies
It was when your throat had begun to itch and when your voice began to sound like a squeaky hinge did Miguel finally take notice
You’d tried your damnest not to worry him- knowing how busy he was with his duties; but that was a fault in itself
Once he’d notices your lack of conversation Miguel rounded the center island of your shared apartment, hand raising to rest on your forhead despite your quiet protests
“Ay Dios mio- you’re burning up.” Pressing the back of his hand against your cheek to check once again he let out a breath, eyes taking in the sort of kicked puppy look your expression held. “How long have you been like this?”
Despite the soreness in your throat you croaked out an answer, knowing right away he’d be upset with any amount of time. “A week…”
“A week?” He seemed offended for a second, an almost exasperated look crossing his face as he pinched the bridge of his nose. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
“Because…you were busy and I didn’t want to bother you.” Trailing off you pulled the cardigan you wore a little closer to yourself
Shaking his head softly at this Miguel right away guided you back to your shared room- the man insisting that you stay in bed and rest all the while he takes care of things
He’d take the day off (Even if Lyla would pester him about it- you were equally as important)
Would bring you an ice pack to bring your temperature back down and would run you a nice bath as well (Would most definitely pick out a set of new PJ’s for you as well as some furry socks insisting that before you put them on that you’d put menthol rub on the soles of your feet- he’d ignore your laughing here insisting that it worked despite how strange it sounded)
Once you were back in bed he’d bring over some sore throat tea and some medication for you to take (He’d set a timer on his phone to make sure you take it periodically)
Water with a slice of lemon in it would always be on the nightstand (Another thing he mentioned that his parents did for him when he was young)
Miguel didn’t cook often- but you bet your ass he would whip out some hidden tucked away family cook book and whip together a nice and warm pot of caldo de pollo to cure your sickness
Honestly, the best damn soup you’ve ever had
He’d check your temperature any chance he could and would let out a satisfied hum as it seemed to drop from its earlier inferno
“Get some sleep mi vida- you’ll feel better in the morning.” Making sure the blankets were pulled up to your chin Miguel leaned forward to plant a gentle kiss on your forehead, the man following it up with one of the bridge of your nose

<Unedited>
Caldo de pollo is literally so good- if yall have never tried it- go try some rn

Warning: slight vomit in 1 early paragraph
■■■■■
Teeth chattering filled the bathroom space followed by ragged gasps. Then the chattering continued.
Tara was sick. She couldn't get sick. Being sick was a weakness, and she needed to get to school. She couldn't risk her mamá finding out she took a day off to recover.
She blinked her eyes opened and blinked away the film of exhaustion glazing over her irises. She took in a deep, chilly breath from the bathroom's freezing temperature. She coughed suddenly, unable to handle the biting frost in her airway.
She needed to - She needed to get warmer. That should get rid of the fever bashing into her skull.
Her weak arms moved and her torso twisted. She reached for the shower from the closed toilet seat, fell, and halfway caught herself on the side of the tub. The solid wall hugged the soft of her stomach and the bottom of her ribs. She gasped for air, trying to take the pressure off of her stomach.
A low, wet belch erupted from her mouth and acid rose. All of what she had earlier - Sammy insisted on chicken broth - was dripping from her mouth and rushing down the dry tub to the drain. Tara watched in a strange fascination.
"Okay... Okay, you got this, Tara, ev'rythin's gonna be alright," Tara drunkenly reassured herself. "Todo va... Mhm, 'M okay. Just gotta..."
Tara pushed all of her weight up onto her hands. Her stomach rolled at the change in height. Vertigo set in. She wobbled and tipped until she somehow was crumpled into a ball of body pain and misery. Groaning, she reached blindly up and turned the shower handle to the right.
She nearly shrieked as ice pelted her face. She froze up, teeth chattering harder than before. Her clothes were soaked already. They needed to come off. She had to feel all of the heat. She needed to warm up.
Hands shaking, Tara peeled her shirt off of her body before following with her sweatpants. They were supposed to go on the mat on the other side of the tub, but Tara's aim was off and it landed behind her.
Her hands fidget with the clasp of her bra, determined to also take it off but not precise enough to grab and unhook it. She briefly contemplated shucking it off like a shirt, but she thought if she raised her arms again more liquid would come out.
She grimaced as she remembered the shrinking streak of her own vomit she was sitting in. It was all she could smell now, all she could focus on.
'Mamá is gonna kill me.'
Fear.
Tara gasped for breath, turned her body so she could feel an equal spray on her clammy skin. She had to get better quickly.
The bathroom was foggy, and Tara's skin tingled. She glanced down at her body and was surprised at the bright red on a little less than half of her body.
Her fear combined with confusion.
Wasn't this supposed to work? Why didn't she feel better? Mamá was gonna be so mad at her.
Tears started to cascade down her face. She was embarrassed for herself. How did she manage to do nothing for the past...
She was pathetic. She was weak.
Her soft cries turned to hyperventilating. Her blubbering was childish and was going to get her into even more trouble.
There was a knock at the bathroom door. Tara's cries grew choked from terror.
She could hear her name being called. The doorknob was rapidly twisting and the door shook in the frame.
She was trying to get inside. She can't get inside, not yet, Tara wasn't ready yet she couldn't do it, she couldn't come in yet, no no no no!
The door finally opened, the door just barely hanging on its hinges.
A woman was standing in the doorframe. She looked like mamá but... kinder? Softer?
Tara didn't trust it. She can't be burned again, she won't allow it.
The woman came closer, and Tara braced herself.
The water turned off.
"Tara, that water's too hot for you," the woman gently scolded her, but she didn't sound angry at all. Of all the emotions Tara thought would be experienced in the bathroom, concern was not one. It threw the girl through a loop. "What are you doing up? You're supposed to be sleeping, mija."
Tara didn't get a chance to frantically apologize to the woman before she was lifted up in a towel. Her knees wobbled once her feet were back on the ground. The woman had her hands on the towel, dutifully drying Tara as best as she could.
"Stop it." Tara weakly pushed the hands away. The woman faltered before her face set. Tara flinched. "'M sorry."
The woman eyed her, but Tara was already losing herself mentally. Her vision was blurring enough for her to go to her safe space. Sammy was there. She always was.
She was quite literally shaken into awareness. She slowly blinked, taking in the new environment of her bedroom. In New York. Sam.
"Where's... Sam?" Tara rasped weakly to the woman.
"You're sick, Tara, you need to rest -"
"No! No, I need Sam! Sam! Sam!" Tara stood. The towel pooled around her ankles. "Sam!"
The woman bent down and grabbed the towel and put it back around her shoulders. Tara hissed and tried to knock the fussy hands away from her, overwhelmed and heartbroken.
Sam left. She's alone with the woman who looks like mamá.
It's only when the short adrenaline rush wears off that the woman is able to sit Tara back down on the foot of the bed, Tara was sobbing. She wasn't even hiding it. She was worthless.
"Work with me, okay? Come on, I got you, I got you. Shh shh shh," the woman cooed and it was calming the girl's erratic breathing. "That's it, you got it. Focus of me and we'll get through this."
Tara was in disbelief. Surely this couldn't be her mamá. Instead of getting kinder with age and growing wisdom, mamá grew bitter and fast to anger. Why do a total 180? To trick Tara?
"Arms up, cariño."
Tara lifted her arms. The towel fell again, but a familiar smell washed over her. She grabbed the collar of her new shirt and brought it up to her nose, sniffing it without shame. Her throat burned and she began to cry.
Hands gently stroked the hair out of her face. Tara hated how quickly she leaned into the warm touch.
"What's wrong?" The woman checked in.
Tara shook her head. "Sa-Sam - She's not comin' back..!" She wailed. Her shoulders shook and her chest heaved, panic was beginning to set in. "I drove 'er off, I did it, I know it! She left me again, I ne-eed her - please, I-I need Sam! Sam!"
Her broken breathing was interrupted as the woman pressed their foreheads together. Tara sharply cut her head to the side. That was only for her and Sam! Not a mamá lookalike.
The woman pressed her hand to the side of Tara's face and neck. Slowly, like a kitten learning how to trust the hand feeding it, Tara turned to the palm and accepted it.
The woman starts, "We don't have much left to do, okay? Just some comfortable pants and -"
"Sam."
The woman stopped, more focused on Tara than ever. "Yes?"
Tara flinched, she looked away. "I want Sam. Nothin' else."
"Not even some pants?"
Shaking her head, Tara stood up and lost her balance. She fell on the woman and grabbed onto her shoulders.
"S-sorry," Tara whimpered.
The woman simply reached down and urged her to step into new sweatpants. Tara's favorite pair - Sam bought them for her - they have Lilo and Stitch on one of the legs. The sudden thought of her missing sister slammed into her.
She was lifted into the air, hugged tightly. Tara squeezed the woman's shoulders with her arms, and her nose nuzzled into her neck.
Her back was laid against the bed. She clung to the woman when she tried to leave. The woman eased her down each time a frisson of nervousness for her sister hit her aching body.
"You're okay, you're okay, I'm not going anywhere," she assured Tara who, in relief, went limp on the bed. The woman knelt by the bed, fingers carding through Tara's damp hair.
The action soothed Tara more than she liked to admit. She shuffled on the bed to lay on her side, trying to soak up the affection better.
Her eyes were heavy, weighed down by sickness and exhaustion. As soon as her eyelids closed, she snapped them back open.
The woman frowned. Her thumb brushed across the dust of freckles on her cheeks.
"Don't leave me," Tara whispered.
"Never," the woman responded quickly. Her eyes softened. "Go to sleep, Tara. I'll be here when you wake up."
A low whine of relief escaped her. With the permission to fall asleep, Tara relaxed. Her vision went black and she was sucked into a decent sleep.
When she groggily woke up, she could hear Sam talking in a hushed whisper on the phone. At first she was curious, but theen she just barely heard to oh-so familiar voice of Danny calling Sam "princess" and wanted to levitate to another plane of existence. It was always so cringy.
Sam noticed Tara blearily watching her and quickly ended the conversation without saying bye. Danny was going to pout over that, Tara knew it.
"Go back to sleep, cariño." Sam fixed the cool cloth on Tara's forehead and brushed her knuckles down her cheek.
Tara floated into unconsciousness once again. She was safe. Sam was here.

A pov/self-insert story I’ve been working on about a couple of OCs!! A human girl and an anthro catboy stumble across a borrower in their home…
(Posting it on this account because even if this start is sfw I wanted to have it lean into more suggestive stuff later—)
Aches ran through your body, stinging you back to wakefulness. The sickness had taken its toll on you, you’d been needing more rest every day, to the point you had to take naps during borrowing trips…
…but your surroundings were unfamiliar. Not at all the hard, cold surfaces you’d become accustomed to sleeping on. This was bedding, soft fabric, kept warm by your own body temperature.
Had you wandered back home in a fatigued daze and forgotten about it? Completely possible, illness does terrible things for reason and memory. Just drift back to sleep, you thought. Nothing worth agonizing over…
“I think it’s awake,” a voice whispered.
“It’s shuffling in its sleep,” another replied, just as hushed. “I’ve seen it do that a few times now, just let it be…”
Had they used any term besides “it”, you would’ve expected to open your eyes to see another borrower having stumbled across your home. But no. “It.”
You felt idly around the cloth, pretending to still be asleep, eyes shut tight.
“Do you think it’s having a bad dream?” The first voice asked. “Looks so tense…”
“It was burning hot when I picked it up,” the second answered. “Fever dreams aren’t great, that can’t be good for rest.”
“…shall I wake it up, then..?”
A brief moment of silence. And then, the feeling of touch: a gentle stroke across your arm. On instinct, your eyes opened wide, letting you finally see the duo talking about you.
The first voice belonged to a human: her cold finger recoiling from you as you jolted to alertness from her touch. Her eyes were a deep brown, full of concern. Black hair fell like soft fabric down to her shoulders, flowing across her shirt as water flows across stone.
The second belonged to a type of giant you hadn’t seen much of before: one of the beast people. Some type of cat person, coated in fluffy white fur with patches of grey. Yellow eyes gleamed at you from above, curiously staring down.
“Hey…” the human muttered, in a voice so quiet you almost couldn’t make out what she was saying. “We found you on the countertop behind the coffeemaker, are you okay?”
Your gaze wandered to the “bed” they’d placed you in. It was a bundle of cloth from various sources: towels, a shirt, what appeared to be boxers… all set on the seat of a couch, with the two giants sitting on the floor so as not to tower over you as much.
“Aches,” you stammered out. “I ache so much…”
“You’re definitely sick,” the human replied. “Pepper said you were burning up while he was holding you.” The beastly cat person, now identified as Pepper, raised a handpaw briefly in greeting.
“We’ll take care of you as long as you need, alright? No need to hide…” the human extended her hand once again as she spoke, resting it palm upright, her index finger about an inch from you, perhaps as a show of respect? Not crossing the threshold of your personal space? Or to ask you to reach out in return?
You assumed the last one, resting your hand on her fingertip. It was still so cold, but it was comforting. Soft, dark, cool skin to take away the pain of your body incinerating the disease festering inside you.
Without thinking, you tugged her finger closer, resting your face against it. You felt like a fiery torch submerged in water. The heat faded from your face, and you let out a deep, pained sigh of relief. All that tension began to fade.
“Thank you, thank you…” you murmured, any fear of the giants giving way to the desperate craving you had for comfort after spending so much time alone.
With her other hand, she gently pushed you onto her palm, idly running her fingers across you as she examined your comparatively minuscule form.
“I’ll bet you need water… shall we get some for you?”
You nodded in reply, too fatigued to question the giants’ kindness. The human turned to Pepper, and he nodded, standing up to hurry over to the kitchen.
The human stood up moments after, before sitting down on the couch beside the “bed” they’d both made for you. She shifted her grasp on you as carefully as she could, leaving you sitting on her lap.

You better get back in your seat.” The Mandalorian faces forward as the child begins to move once again reaching for the small ball attached to the joystick, “Hey, what did I tell you? The Crest flies over the town where the beacon was coming from landing in the woods outside of the city, Din turns to see the child fidgeting with the small ball, “What did I say about that? This needs to stay on the ship.” He takes the ball from whining the green baby slipping it into his belt.
The sound of a groan has Din alert as he quickly climbs down the ladder entering the main hull. The child following quickly by his pram spots his guardian hovering over a cot resting a girl. Din pushes back the strands of hair that are flush to your face and neck seeing the sweat glistening on your temples and neck. From the thermal scanner, Din curses seeing the high temperature coming off you. Grabbing the medpack that was kept by you for quick access taking in the dwindling supplies, just the small remains of bacta spray left and not enough bandages. Throughout their week-long travels to Corvus Din had been attentive in checking your wound making sure you had water and taking the time to clean and change you into some clothes Din had been sure not to see anything. Your clothes are already cleaned but have kept you in more comfortable clothes. But you still remained unconscious and with only getting the water it made sense you were to get sick while also fighting to heal.
Din peels up his shirt from your body to view your injury, unwrapping the stained bandage and wincing seeing the crudely burned flesh it wasn’t going to be a pretty scar when healed. What concerned him though was the redness and fluid coming from the wound, he knew Cara had been rushing and it was truly life or death so the chances things weren’t properly sanitized or your injury wasn’t is likely. This explains the fever from the infection but bacta spray wasn’t going to cut it, he needed stronger medicine. Din would have taken you to a hospital if he could but the chances that he would be taken by the New Republic or the empire spotting you and the child in such a vulnerable state. He couldn’t risk it.
The child emits a sad noise seeing the crease between your brows placing his small hand against your cheek, trying to pour some of his power into helping you. Din watches thinking your injury will heal and you would wake up but the child pulls away looking at him confused why it didn’t work. Was it something he was doing wrong…or were you stopping him he didn’t understand this jedi thing.
“I’m gonna get you something ya hear me kid,” Din says quickly grabbing a cloth and wetting it in the fresher returning and placing it on your forehead. He feels slightly relieved seeing the pained look on your face disappear slightly with the cold cloth. Rewrapping your wound and covering you with the blanket taking one last look he stands moving towards the ramp. A whine comes from the child as he tries to follow Din. “Not much to see out here,” The green infant coos and Din looks down at him as the ramp continues to lower, “Never had dealings with a Jedi before.”
Sighing he picks up the child placing him in his side satchel, “Let’s head into town. See if we can pick up a lead.” Leaving the Crest he places the ship in ground security protocols not letting anyone get in while he leaves you in a weakened state.
Reaching the city gate the fog settled around him making the whole town more desolate, spotting the guard on the wall above the gate he stares at the man and he stares back, “State your business.” The man on top of the wall calls out.
“Been tracking for a few days. Looking for a layover.” Din calls out and the man in the armor looks over internally comparing his own to the pristine beskar, “Nice armor. You a hunter, then?”
“That’s right.” Din nods, “Guild?” The man questions and he nods once again, “Last I checked.” The man turns to speak to someone else he couldn’t see in a language he didn’t recognize before he calls out in Basic, “Open the gate.”
The large gates creak open allowing the Mandalorian inside and he was surprised by the empty streets and the lifelessness of the town. He quickly notices the citizens picking at scraps and looking dejected, he walks up to a droid to speak but it walks past him. “Pardon me, vendor, have you heard of anyone…”
Seeing a man standing by a table more pushed into an alley, beside him are two children a boy and a girl as they break apart a small loaf of bread. “You there. I need some information. I’m looking for medicine and someone,” The man looks shocked being addressed he whispers something to the children and they go rushing off further into the alley.
“Please, do not speak to them, or to any of us.” The man speaks shaking his hands and looking around to see if anyone is watching this interaction, Look, I just need to know…”
“The Magistrate wants to see you.” A man behind Din speaks up and he turns to see two armored mercenaries standing almost waiting for him, he nods briefly glancing back at the man who avoids all eye contact. Being escorted through the main street they reach a section where people stand in cages their screams filling the air as electricity harms them. The chill that runs through his body when their screams are replaced with yours and his hands turn into fists as he looks forward as they cry out to him, “Help us…She’ll kill us all.”
A guard opens a second gate of the city with enters a villa a clear difference from the town, the freshwater from the moat, and the greenery and flora. He could understand where the money is going. Walking across the bridge he spots a woman looking over the waters of the moat dressed in much better clothes than the townspeople, “Come forward. You are a Mandalorian?” The Magistrate calls out and Din moves forward, “Yes.”
She nods, “I have a proposition that may interest you.” Din quickly responds to her statement, “My price is high.” He was only here to find the jedi and to get you medicine he didn’t have time for bounties,
“This target is priceless. A Jedi plagues me. I want you to kill her.” The magistrate explains and Din could only assume it’s the same one he is looking for, “That’s a difficult task.” He says and the Magistrate nods knowing her offer was not one for the faint of heart,
“One that you are well-suited for. The Jedi are the ancient enemy of Mandalore.” She says hoping his creed’s dislike for the jedi would make the offer more appealing but Din is standing firm, “As I said, my price is high.”
The Magistrate holds her hand out and a droid servant comes over with a large spear which she takes before passing it to Din, “What do you make of this?”
Din accepts the weapon with two hands examining the weapon and its craftsmanship. Ringing the staff against his armor and a crisp ring fills the air confirming his suspicions….pure beskar.
“Beskar.” He comments and she nods taking the weapon back and holding it with one hand, “Pure beskar… like your armor. Kill the Jedi and it’s yours.” She offers and Din thinks of his options,
“Where do I find this Jedi?” He asks and the Magistrate calls over another droid servant who gives him coordinates to where they had last seen this jedi, “I ask only one thing,” Din speaks up and the Magistrate nods letting him continue, “I am in need of medicine, bandages, and an E-Bacta Shot.” The woman looks surprised at his comment.
“E-Bacta shots are very hard to come upon, but very well you kill the jedi you will receive it as well as the staff-” “I require the medicine now.” The Magistrate stares at Din almost piercing through his helmet and her face changes with realization. He needed it not for him, but someone else…someone he had to care enough about who was injured enough that they would need an experimental drug to help them. “Very well, fetch an E-Bacta shot and some bandages for the Mandalorian,” She orders a droid they head off the fetch the objects. It didn’t take long before the droid returned with a small pouch given to the man who looked inside seeing the shot and wrappings. With one final look, he departed to find his bounty.
The man called Lang leads Din and the child out of the city gate, looking down he notices the child in the pouch staring back at him behind shrinking back, “What is that thing?” Din looks at the child and then at Lang, “I keep it around for luck.” Lang nods looking at the bounty hunter,
“You’re gonna need it where you’re headed.” He quips before heading back into the city gates leaving the two. Returning to the Crest punching in the security code to disable lockdown Din and the Child enter, the kid quickly enters his pram as he moves towards the girl still asleep. Your fever only rose higher to temperatures that were concerning him as chills began, taking the cloth that was mainly dry now to wipe some sweat from the back of your neck. Pulling back the blanket to see your wound he completely removed the bandage going to the fresher to get a new damp cloth to clean the irritated and oozing wound.
Apologizes whispered into the air watching you wince in your sleep, “You’re alright kid, got you some medicine. You’re gonna feel better.” Din promises, removing the cloth he opens up the small pouch taking out the E-Bacta shot and the new bandages. Opening the cover for the syringe he was lucky you were unconscious so you couldn’t see the very long and thick needle that was to enter your body. The child hides back in his pram unable to watch the needle enter you. Normally it would have been a smaller dose but he needed this to work beside you were going to be asleep during this. The vibrant liquid quickly enters your body as he injects it right beside where your wound before wrapping it once more with bandages. Din pulls up your blanket as a large shiver takes over your body.
“We have to go…but you’re going to be alright. You fight kid. Gar're morut'yc ner cyar'ika” (you’re safe my darling) Din whispers his gloved hand tracing your face and pushing the small strands of hair back. He could only hope that this worked having only heard of the effects it has though affecting an individual's senses it did accelerate their healing and that’s what matters. He wanted you awake and okay--no needed you to be. Once again making sure you were alright before he and the child leave the Crest to set off once again to search for this jedi.
Whisper of voices, the brief brushes of something or someone touching you as your eyes open seeing stone above and the ground rough beneath you. Pushing yourself to your elbows find yourself in almost a cave with lanterns that light the area. Looking around confused you were on Nervarro then…you couldn’t remember…whisper of voices float through the air as a breeze appears blowing your hair and ruffling your clothes. Looking forward, the lanterns glow a brilliant blue and yellow pulse almost alive as you rise to stand.
“te oya'la pirun” The earth breathes out the words as you are guided by the lights almost an invisible string wrapped around you pulling you further into the caves, the lights growing and dimming with each breath you take drawing closer. The pounding of a drum shakes the ground around you and the tunnel opens up revealing an open cave filled with people some holding candles, and large torches decorating the path leading you to dark waters. Pillars stand tall inscriptions carved into the stone as a voice speaks out, “Bat ner gai bal te gai be ruyot. Ibac Ni Kelir kemir te ara be te Mand'alor. Bal te miit be te Resol'nare Kelir cuyir darasuum o'r ner kar'ta. Ibic cuyir te ara.” You couldn’t recognize the words being spoken and you freeze seeing those standing by the waters on steps leading down to the black waters.
“Mama…papa…” You whisper your voice an echo as you look at your parents confused by their appearance. Your mother wears these white tubed flowers in her hair with a large headpiece, her clothes regal in shades of blues, teals, and purples nothing you’ve ever seen her wear before. Your father wears shades of tan loose clothes and a deep brown robe that appear natural but seem to have more significance. It wasn’t something you were used to seeing on either of them, especially in this location.
“te oya'la pirun”
Those words repeat again as your parents hold out their hands but for a moment it’s not your parents, it's a woman with fair skin, bright blonde hair, and soft blue eyes with a man with auburn hair and a beard with strong grey eyes. You stare at the woman and man as they look back at you the woman has a gentle smile and the man has a very neutral expression but you could see the pride in his eyes. The string seems to pull you forward as you move past the two taking a step down into the water. It licks at your feet as you continue to step further into the water words you weren’t even sure you could speak but it comes from your mouth,
“Bat ner gai bal te gai be ruyot,”
Each step further into the water it reaching your knee as the string around you pulls you deeper,
“Ibac Ni Kelir kemir te ara be te Mand'alor,”
The water soaks you now at your waist your hands spread as the liquid slips past your fingers. A pang of fear comes over you being this deep in the water but it quickly leaves with a peaceful feeling,
“Bal te miit be te Resol'nare Kelir cuyir darasuum o'r ner kar'ta.”
The glimpses of your parents and the other two fill your vision as you take the final step the water at your chest. This feeling of something in the water doesn’t fear you but invites you in almost calling to you as you speak the final words.
“Ibic cuyir te ara.”
And you sink into the water darkness taking over.
The sounds of nature surround Din and the child as they travel deeper into the woods following the coordinates provided by the Magistrate. “Well, these are the coordinates. Keep your eyes open. We must be close.” Din speaks to the small child through his visor he examines the trails and looks for signatures of footprints or markings that someone was there. A crack fills the air making the hunter pause, “You hear that? Don’t worry. Sit right here. Let me see what’s out there.” Pulling the child out of the bag and placing him on a rock while slowly pulling his rifle off his back. Looking through the scope toward where the noise was coming from only to spot some native animals far off in the distance eating the vegetation.
“False alarm,” Din says turning around right out the moment two lightsabers came down on him. Quickly blocking with his vambraces the beskar deflects the energy of the weapon. Releasing a wave of flames from his flamethrowers sends his enemy back and burns her cloak making her take it off. Shooting his arm out and a cord wraps around her arms restricting her movements, but she jumps into the air over a branch flinging Din midair as a pulley. Din detaches the wire landing on the ground and she is free as well both blaster and lightsabers ready to duel but he quickly speaks up, “Ahsoka Tano! Bo-Katan sent me. We need to talk.”
The jedi Ahsoka lowers her weapons but not looking at the Mandalorian but past him at the child sitting on the rock watching the fight, “I hope it’s about him.”
The evening has taken over the planet as the clearing is only lit by a single lantern. Din watches the two just sitting in silence looking at each other, “Is he speaking? Do you understand him?” Ahsoka nods standing picking up the child and bringing them to a new clearing Din follows holding the lantern, “In a way. Grogu and I can feel each other’s thoughts.” She explains to the child sitting on a rock and it perks up hearing his name.
“Grogu?” Din says and the child Grogu makes another noise hearing his name and now looking at Din.
“Yes. That’s his name.” Ahsoka explains as Din watches the child well Grogu stares at a large butterfly moving through the air, “Grogu.” Din calls out and Grogu quickly looks over at Din making a gurgling noise.
“He was raised at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Many Masters trained him over the years. At the end of the Clone Wars when the Empire rose to power, he was hidden. Someone took him from the Temple. Then his memory becomes… dark. He seemed lost. Alone. I’ve only known one other being like this. A wise Jedi Master named Yoda.” Ahsoka speaks looking at Grogu and then off into the distance thinking of memories of the past.
“Can he still wield the Force?” Ahsoka asks turning to Din. “You mean his powers?”
“The Force is what gives him his powers. It is an energy field created by all living things. To wield it takes a great deal of training and discipline.” Ahsoka explains motioning to all that surrounds them, from the rocks to the lush trees.
“I’ve seen him do things I can’t explain. My task was to bring him to a Jedi,” Din explains thinking of all the things he’s seen Grogu do as well as you, “There’s another the same as him, she has one of your weapons.” Din points at one of her lightsabers resting on her hips.
“You found another Jedi but the Jedi Order fell a long time ago…is she from the temple?” Ahsoka asks but Din shakes his head, “She’s a child from Tatooine…an orphan seemingly trained by herself.”
“Where is she then?” She questions and Din grows silent Ahsoka could sense the fear that shackles him as well as guilt, “She will be alright.” She rests her hand on his shoulder as he moves his gaze to watch the small infant,
“The Empire is gone, yet it still hunts them. They need your help.” He says and Ahsoka stands looking at the two before heading off to a part of the clearing,
“Let him sleep. I’ll test him in the morning.”
The screams filled the great hall, and blaster fire fills the air as the fight for your life pushes you forward. Your blade cuts down the troopers as they keep appearing to overwhelm you. Swinging your blade but it comes in contact with another, the once orange saber now blue clashing against another blue saber. The roar of the wind as an eruption of fiery liquid and a rock flies into the air. A man with wild hair and eyes that only showed rage presses his saber harsher against yours.
"I have failed you, Anakin. I have failed you." You speak but your voice comes in and out with another the voice of a man. Guilt and sadness fill your chest seeing the man in front of you as you stand on opposite sides.
"I should have known the Jedi were plotting to take over!" He shouts out his eyes once blue a sickly shade of yellow, the darkness in his heart taken over.
"Anakin, Chancellor Palpatine is evil!" You yell out to the man you’ve never met before feeling tears fill your eyes. This sadness is like a weight in your chest trying to pull you down, the hot air blowing your hair and clothes the same as his.
"From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!" He shouts raising his weapon and you raise yours too feeling a piece of you leave dying alongside the light in him.
"Well, then, you are lost!" You cry out before you both rush forward grabbing each other and holding you back as the lava erupts showering over you as you’re shoved backward finding yourself on the shores of the river the heat from the lava burning as you stare down at the man his arm and legs cut off as he tries dragging himself up the blackened ash.
A sorrow, unlike anything, fills you as you cry out to him, and the man’s voice splits with yours, "You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them! Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness!"
His cries fill the air as he slides closer to the flames the hatred in his eyes, "I hate you!" He spits and you climb further up the sands your hand reaching down to grab his weapon the weight of its sins heavy. You look back at the man tears filling your eyes.
"You were my brother, Anakin; I loved you.” You turn to leave his screams as the flames burn his body leaving you with haunted memories. You move to leave this moment when a voice calls out behind you
“You have something I want.”
Dawn covers Corvus as the Mandalorian with Grogu follows the jedi into a green clearing the forest and nature vibrant compared to what he’s seen in the town. “Let’s see what knowledge is lurking inside that little mind,” Ahsoka says as Din places Grogu on a large rock and steps back the jedi grabs a small rock holding it in her hand before turning her palm and the rock floats in mid-air. Pushing her hand out the rock floats over to the smaller jedi as he holds his hands out taking the rock from the air giggling and having the stone, “Now, return the stone to me, Grogu.” She says holding her hand out, the child looks down at the rock before holding it closer to his chest,
“He doesn’t understand.” Din says but Ahsoka shakes her head still holding her hand out, “He does.” Grogu whines not wanting to give it but put Ahsoka pushes, “It’s okay. The stone, Grogu.” Grogu looks at her before willfully dropping the stone to the ground.
Ahsoka moves to kneel in front of the child holding his hand, “I sense much fear in you. He’s hidden his abilities to survive over the years. Let’s try something else. Come over here.” She says before moving back and motioning for Din to come over.
“He’s stubborn.” The bounty hunter comments and Ahsoka disagrees, “Not him. You. I want to see if he’ll listen to you.”
Din scoffs hearing the request, “That would be a first.”
“I like firsts,” She smirks as she hands Din the stone, “Good or bad, they’re always memorable. Now, hold the stone out in the palm of your hand. Tell him to lift it up.” She steps back watching Din look at her before sighing and turning towards the child,
“All right, kid. Lift the stone.” He holds the stone out, “Grogu.” Ahsoka cuts in and Din looks over at her.
“Grogu…” This peaks his attention as he looks at the Mandalorian, “Come on, take the stone.” He tries enticing him but he just coos not listening, “You see? I told you, he’s stubborn.” Din drops his hand and the stone.
Ahsoka gives him a look, watching the two of them, “Try to connect with him.”
Din takes a deep breath before grabbing something from his belt, “Grogu…” He calls the child’s attention as he reveals the ball and he is intrigued, “Do you want this? Well, go ahead. That’s right, take it. Come on. You can have it. Come on.” Din holds out the ball and Grogu slowly lifts his hands concentrating and the ball rips from Din’s hand into his, “Good job! Good job, kid. You see that? That’s right.”
Din praises the child kneeling down and giving an affectionate rub against his ears making Grogu giggle, “I knew you could do it. Very good.” Ahsoka watches this interaction and her decision is made,
“He’s formed a strong attachment to you,” She comments and Din looks over seeing the hesitant look on her face, “I cannot train him or the girl.”
“What? Why not? You’ve seen what he can do. You haven’t even met the kid.”
“His attachment to you makes him vulnerable to his fears. His anger.” Ahsoka says and Din stands up trying to get her to reconsider, “All the more reason to train him.”
“No. I’ve seen what such feelings can do to a fully-trained Jedi Knight. To the best of us. I will not start this child down that path. Better to let his abilities fade. I’ve delayed too long. I must get back to the village.” She says a pained expression on her face at the mention of the Jedi before she turns and heads off,
“The Magistrate sent me to kill you. I didn’t agree to anything. And I’ll help you with your problem if you see to it that Grogu and the girl are properly trained.” Din says and Ahsoka pauses hearing this news, “She has a small army of guards armed with A350 blaster rifles, two HK-87 assassin droids, and a hired gunfighter. He reads ex-military to me. Combined, not even your laser swords would be able to protect you from all that firepower.”
“True. But don’t underestimate the Magistrate either.” Ahsoka agrees,
“Who is she? She offered me a staff of pure beskar to kill you.” Din explains and Ahsoka looks over at him, “Morgan Elsbeth. During the Clone Wars, her people were massacred. She survived and let her anger fuel an industry which helped build the Imperial Starfleet. She plundered worlds, destroying them in the process.” Din nods remembering the look of the town, “Yeah, it looks like she’s still in business.”
Ahsoka nods before asking him, ”When you were in the city did you see any prisoners?” Din nods remembering the prisoners being tortured, “I saw three villagers strung up just outside the inner gate.”
“We must find a way to free them.” She says and Din agrees, “A Mandalorian and a Jedi? They’ll never see it coming.”
“You have something I want.”
The explosion of the e-web rings in your ears gasping for air you push yourself up looking around finding yourself back on Nevarro. The square in flames parts of buildings destroyed screams of people and children as you come to stand letting out a sharp inhale pressing your hand to your side and seeing red. The city was desolate around you but you could hear blaster fire in the distance the sounds of battle raging on. The sky is dark and the sounds of fighting in the sky and explosions light the sky. Fires raged everywhere covering your mouth to avoid inhaling the smoke as the earth shook and loud explosions made you cover your ears. Your reactions were delayed that you didn’t sense the attack coming at you.
A foot slams against your back pushing you to the ground and when you try to push back up and a foot kicks you in the ribs crying out when it digs into your wound. Falling onto your back, the broken rubble and shards of glass dig into your body as you look up. Chills run down your spine seeing the man hover over you it being him…Moff Gideon.
“You can’t run from destiny,” He says and you try to stand when he kicks you to your hands and knees. Gideon grabs your collar, “Din Djarin…his creed…Mandalore will fall because of you,” His fist slams across your face your head whipping to the side another fist flies blood spewing from your mouth. With each punch your vision flash with memories, Arvala-7, meeting Din, protecting the child, your journeys, the lightsaber, but memories not your own appear, the man with hatred in his eyes, the battle in that great hall, the cave with water, your parents, the couple you saw.
"Well, then, you are lost!"
Dots flood your vision with each strike from Gideon, your screams in the Crest as Din whispered comforting words, his bare hands wiping the tears from your eyes.
"You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them!
"I hate you!"
The fires scorch your skin and your heart as a man screams to his brother the pain ripping you apart.
“You are far more important to me than anything in the galaxy.”
The ringing of the e-web your hands grasping Din’s armor, the blood staining your hands. No this wasn’t supposed to happen. You didn’t feel him breathing as the battle raged as you clutch his body nothing came out of your mouth as you scream.
“Tatooine may be where you were born but your blood, that is not. Features old but familiar…qualities of those from Mandalore.”
Standing in front of the Armorer, her helmet piercing through your body as she holds your chin. The questions…the confusion at her comment. Tatooine or Mandalore…what was your past.
“Te oya'la pirun”
The water circled your body the water and blood filling the cave no one was there anymore. You drown in the water it’s cooling nature as red mixes in.
"You were my brother, Anakin; I loved you.”
The great hall was filled with the aftermath of the massacre. The great sorrow that fills you, the force almost suffocates you. Cries and blaster fire blind your senses as Gideon grabs you again dragging you along the ground, metal, and glass cutting and tearing into your flesh.
“You have a much more important role in this than you think you do…That can alter your dear Mandalorian’s Creed.
The burning buildings of Nervarro are different, a city unlike anything you’ve seen before surrounds you, the screams of people filling the air. Like falling stars reaching the surface that shake the planet’s core, glass digs into your palms your vision going black as blood pours like a river from your face.
“Bat ner gai bal te gai be ruyot, Ibac Ni Kelir kemir te ara be te Mand'alor,”
Sinking deep into the water, your hands trying to break through the surface as you’re pulled deeper. The peaceful feeling you felt is quickly filled with fear as your screams are silenced by water entering your lungs.
“Bal te miit be te Resol'nare Kelir cuyir darasuum o'r ner kar'ta.”
Your parents lay before you the blood surrounding them, your home in Tatooine ruined. Still hidden under the bed hearing them being killed over and over again. Soon their screams are replaced with a man crying out as the auburn man holds the blonde woman in his arms. It was pain…it was fear…it was a sign.
“Ibic cuyir te ara.”
Gideon pulls away his hand grasping at his belt pulling out a weapon raising it up and swinging it down.
“It ends here Mand’alor.”
Your eyes snap open pushing yourself off the bed when your legs and arms grow numb and your vision tilts as you crash into the floor. Blinking your vision back a disoriented feeling as your face presses against the metal floor of the Crest. Pins and needles cover your limbs as you force your arm to roll you over onto your back so you face the ceiling. You weren’t sure how long until the numb feeling left and you slowly pushed yourself to sit up against the edge of your cot.
You remember your fight with Din, traveling to Nervarro, discovering the base, and learning about Moff Gideon...
Moff Gideon was alive! With your strength quickly returning you come to stand but your balance tilts and you slam into a wall, your hands pressing into the grids of the metal trying to focus on your breathing your heartbeat pounding in your ears.
“Din!” Your voice hoarse slurs as you shout out as you try to move towards the cockpit but your world seemed to put on a permanent axis making you run into objects and fall into the walls. Reaching the ladder you stare up at it feeling a wave of nausea seeing the distance of the ladder stretch before your eyes.
“d-Din! Din…kriff where are you?!” You shout almost falling back as you turn to find your bag resting on the side falling at grabbing it twice before you use your whole arms to scoop it up and dump everything on the ground. Books fall out and a saber falls rolling onto the ground. A sense of dread fills you suddenly and your head whips toward the direction as you tip over at the same time. Laying on your back you try to continue calming your heart but it only seems to get louder with each inhale. What was wrong with you…everything was going tilted and nothing seemed right. Spotting your saber your hand reaches out to grab it. You needed to find the child..you had to find Din.
After stumbling to the hull after spending 10 minutes trying to just get dressed in your clothes but you just sat on the floor and had thought you already gotten dressed. Strapping your blaster into your hostler missing it a few times before getting right, you decide to hold your saber to make things easier. Your hands rest on the wall trying to calm your breathing as you feel the coldness of the metal. Everything felt dilated to eleven but at the same time, your actions were a second behind your brain, resulting in you wandering through the forest for a bit.
“Holy shit maker this is kriffing crazy…” You huff out resting against a tree having run into it. Pushing forward and head in a general direction praying you to find something. You weren’t sure how long you wandered through the forest everything looked the same until you heard the sound of blaster fire, a thick layer of fog surrounds you and you didn’t see the gate until you run right into it. A loud smack fills the air as you hit the metal and fall to your back the world spinning around you. Your limbs feel like lead as you turn yourself onto your hands and knees looking for a way inside you grab the saber with two trembling hands. A howl emits from the blade making your ears ring as you bring it to the metal it slides through. You practically put your whole weight into a crudely carved hole. You stare at the bright orange blade...I wonder what it feels-no not those thoughts focus, find Din.
A hole from the metal falls through with a large clang and you climb through more like tripped through as your legs became deadweights again. It seemed whatever was happening to you every once in a while your motor function would just fully fail a numbing sensation that felt weightless. This was experienced mainly in the forest, smacking into trees, tripping over branches or just falling over the air and being stuck to the ground for a few minutes before you pushed yourself up and continue on.
You look up seeing you drop your saber the weapon is turned off as you grab it again and use the wall to help you pull yourself up to your feet. The sound of gunfire seemed to be coming from further down the street as you fail to walk straight toward the sounds. Maybe you could ask around if they’ve seen him.
You must have taken a wrong turn finding yourself walking through alleys before you hear someone speaking, “Who do you think’s gonna win? Could be your side… could be my side.” He calls out and who he was speaking doesn’t respond, “I got no quarrel with you, Mandalorian.” Hey, you knew a Mandalorian! Maybe he could tell you where Din was.
“That’s far enough.” A familiar voice speaks as you stumble closer to the opening of the alley trying to focus intently on your footsteps not watching the man.
“You and I, we’re a lot alike. Willing to lay our lives down for the right cause. Which this is not.” You didn’t see the dead body in front of you right at the opening of the alley. You completely trip over them stumbling into the street and crashing into the floor right between the two men who looked surprised. You groan rolling to your side and you look at the boots of this man trailing your gaze up seeing a familiar metal man.
“Heyyyyy Din.” You slur and you didn’t recognize the rigidness in his body. Din felt all the air leave his body, he was about to put a bullet in the person that stumbled into the street. You weren’t supposed to be here? Why..how did you get here!? This weight on his chest lifted seeing you looking at him, breathing, awake. His enemy, however, noticed the girl stumbling out hitting the ground and an instrument used by his enemy beside her. A jedi.
The man pulls out his blaster and aims at the girl but a bullet hits him before he could react, he falls back as Din lowers his blaster. He sighs and moves forward when someone yells, “Behind you!” He quickly turns to fire at the surviving assassin droid as it appears on the roof.
Your gaze is focused on the sky, how far you could measure from one side of the galaxy to the other. Someone quickly appears beside you and you give a goofy grin at the man, “Din…”
“Maker kid, what the hell are you doing here.” He says pulling you to sit up but holding you to make sure you don’t get dizzy. “Looking for you metal head,” You say leaning your head back as you giggle, “woooah did you know you could see yourself through your armor.” Your giggles interrupt your rambles as your focus is put on the reflection of his armor. Din watches you wave to yourself in the reflection of the armor a faint smile hidden behind the beskar helmet. He couldn’t remember the last time he saw you smile. Their time on Sorgan, reunited with Cobb, seeing water for the first time, the small moments you had with the child. He was certain he’s never heard you laugh, a melodic sound that warms his heart. Even in a state where you weren’t fully there the walls you built up for this life had been broken.
“Yeah, kid…tell me more.” He says looking down at you as your laughter fills the air. With the success of defeating the Magistrate’s army the people of Calodan quickly threw together a celebration for their liberation. Din was able to find you food and water to fill you up and the side effects of the bacta shot quickly fade.
Standing outside the gates your mind is now clear and functional as you give a sheepish smile to Din as he stares at the hole in the gate, “You’ve carved a hole..” He says with a  look and you throw your hands up in defense, “Hey I was high off the medicine you gave me so you can’t blame me.” You say and Din shakes his head when appears a woman with orange skin with white markings, her head tails white with blue striping. Her clothes are nothing you’ve ever seen before but your eyes widen seeing the weapons strapped to the waist just like yours.
“I believe this was your payment.” She says holding out a spear and Din shakes his head, “No. I can’t accept it. I didn’t finish the job.” Din says but she holds out the weapon insisting. “No. But this belongs to a Mandalorian. Where is your little friend?” She asks not seeing the child.
“Back at the ship where this one should be as well,” Din says before gesturing over at you and you could feel the slight scolding in his tone. The woman turns to look at you and her neutral face cracks slightly almost as if she’s seen a ghost.
“Bo-Katan said you could train the child and me,” You say and she still seems to be looking over and a slight probe at part of your mind makes you hesitate before you let her in. It was a weird sensation feeling someone push into your mind but for a fraction of a second her own shield falls and you get a glimpse of her more forefront thoughts.
“Who’s Obi-Wan…?” You say and Ahsoka pulls out of your head hearing your question. It was the innocent look on your face that wouldn’t make anyone fearful but it was what she saw inside your mind that had her worried, the fear and rage towards one man. Like relieving a memory of seeing the fear and anger take over someone she had cared deeply about happening before you through only the first stages. She should have sensed you as well even if you weren’t with the Mandalorian but the force was strong in you…strong that it concerned her more than her concern about the Mandalorian and Grogu’s relationship.
“Ahsoka?” You call out to her and for the briefest of moments, she sees two people in you that she lost. The only memories left are those in her mind. “We need to go get the kid, you stay here,” Din says to Ahsoka and she nods as Din starts forward his hand resting on your shoulder leading. You glance back at her seeing the far-off look in her eyes as she watches you two depart.
Reaching the Crest you were given a warm welcome by the child who you quickly took into your arms as he coos at you while you rub his ears tenderly. “Hey, little guy.” You smile at the green creature as it happily giggles seeing you.
“Grogu,” Din says and you look over at him, “Turns out he had a name all this time.” You nod turning back to Grogu the smile still on your face.
“Well, Grogu it’s finally nice to know.” He coos even more hearing you call him by his name, “Come on we have to go.” Din calls out and you follow back to the ramp you didn’t see the way he watched you the sadness in him growing with these final moments.
“Kid..” Din calls out and you turn before the ramp looking at the Mandalorian who holds out your bag for you, “You stay safe alright.” He says and you realize this is a goodbye. You hadn’t imagined it would come so soon after all your adventures, the planets, and the people you’ve met. It felt incomplete in a way like a journey was missing something.
“I will…” You say taking the bag. Your life was shoved into the small bag but now this whole ship had become your home, the memories etched into the metal of the Crest. You sling your bag over your shoulder and Grogu in your arms gives a sad coo feeling your emotions through the force. Din’s hand touches your cheek wiping away a tear you didn’t know had fallen. You throw your free hand around his shoulder burying your face in his shoulder, hesitant his hands move to wrap around you one hand holding your back and the other holding your head.
“You’re going to be fine cyar'ika,” Din whispers as you say goodbye to really the only person who has looked after you, someone who has been a father to you.
“You’re like a father to them.” Ahsoka’s voice comes from behind you both of you pulling away quickly wiping the stray tears as you stand close to Din. She looks at both you and Grogu before shaking her head, “I cannot train them.”
“You made me a promise, and I held up my end.” Din says stepping forward and Ahsoka thinks, “There is one possibility. Go to the planet Tython. There you will find the ancient ruins of a temple that has a strong connection to the Force. Bring them to the seeing stone at the top of the mountain.” She explains.
“Then what?” You ask and she looks over at you, “Then you and Grogu may choose your paths. If you reach out through the Force, there’s a chance a Jedi may sense your presence and come searching for you both.” She says to the two force-sensitive children, “Then again, there aren’t many Jedi left.” She warns and Din nods looking down at you as if you have no choice but to agree.
“Thank you.” He says and you give your own thanks,
“May the Force be with you.” She says as Din takes the child from your arms heading to start up the Crest. You stay on the ramp looking over at Ahsoka who watches you deeply as well.
“Thank you, Ahsoka…” You say and she nods crossing her arms the poncho flows with her movements. It felt instinctively to let the barrier around your mind down being in the presence of another force user. That same probing sensation washes over you before it quickly retreats.
“You can’t run from destiny…you can only embrace what is given.” She says and you freeze her words similar to those said in your dream or was it a vision?
“You can’t run from destiny. Din Djarin…his creed…Mandalore will fall because of you,”
You wanted to ask more questions but the rumble of the Crest and Din’s voice calling out to you make you turn towards the sound but when you turned back the jedi was gone. Only a brush of the wind and her presence in the force let you know she was once here.
The ramp to the ship closes as it rises in the atmosphere its new and final destination decided. Off in the distance, the lone Jedi watches the ship leave with the two force-sensitive beings. One with some former training but the other…she could only be fearful of what it could lead to. She could only hope whatever remaining jedi out there are able to tame this unease that she sensed or is it already too late?

Assassin Rescues Prisoner from Target's house part 3
TW: blood, intense torture, recovery, pain, death, assassination, severe whump, etc.
The next morning came, and Jax found that Atlas had woken up before him, but stayed laying down on the couch, limp aside from the shallow rise and fall of his chest. He jumped slightly when he came over, though Jax kept a respectful distance.
"How do you feel about me changing your bandages now, eh?" Jax tried. He'd have to change them soon to prevent the wounds from festering and becoming infected, going sour.
Atlas eyed him warily, fear dancing across his face. "Do... Do I even have a choice?" He croaked, then coughed weakly.
Smart kid, Jax thought with a flicker of genuine surprise. He'd seen right through his words. Jax shook his head grimly. "No... you don't. I have to swap out the gauze. But you can make it easier or harder for yourself... that is a choice you can have."
Atlas blew out a long breath, watching Jax's every move like a hawk as he brought the medical kit to the side of the couch.
Jax put on some sterile gloves and slowly reached out for one of Atlas's wounds, raising an eyebrow at him to see what he'd do. And to his mild surprise, Atlas didn't fight him, save for a cringe at the initial contact. But then again, it could be because he simply lacked the strength to resist. Jax carefully peeled away the layers of gauze on each wound, checking the stitches and spreading more herbal healing salve over the skin before re-wrapping it with fresh gauze.
Atlas twitched and winced at every light touch, biting his tongue hard to keep from crying out. Maybe he was scared that Jax would be angry if he made a sound.
But eventually he couldn't contain the pain anymore and a few quiet groans slipped out, broken up by small hisses and sharp inhales. Each time he glanced fearfully at Jax, as though afraid he might strike him for daring to make noise.
He hated how close the assassin was, hated every moment his hands touched his raw, inflamed flesh to apply more stinging salve. It was almost unbearable, and Atlas could only lie there helpless and exposed as he was tended to, weak and vulnerable. He shuddered as Jax's skilled hands grazed the largest gash in his side, another wave of pain radiating through his body.
"I'm almost finished..." Jax muttered reassuringly.
Atlas couldn't help a shiver as he finally finished bandaging him up a few minutes later.
"T-Thank you... S-Sir..." Atlas mumbled as he pulled away, cleaning up the old, blood-stained gauze. He was always expected to show gratitude to his captor for any small kindness, any form of reprieve from torture, no matter how fleeting. And this man was his new master, it seemed.
"You... don't have call me Sir. Jax is fine," Jax blurted.
"Yes, s-- I mean Jax," Atlas stammered, correcting himself. It felt strange on his tongue. He was always required to refer to his owner using only words of authority and power. Why was this man helping him? What did he have to gain from it? He stared at Jax as though trying to read the answers from his very soul, before abandoning the effort.
Jax noted the sweat glistening on his forehead, and placed a light hand on his neck, feeling a high fever. Made sense, he realized, if what Atlas said was true about him being fed nothing but spoiled food for at least a week. No wonder it made him so sick, and combined with all the injuries... his body was strained to its absolute limit. Atlas fought the urge to instinctively recoil, holding his breath as fingers rested against his pulse. But he couldn't help an uneasy shiver.
Wordlessly, Jax rose from his seat, returning with a bucket of cold damp rags that he laid across his forehead, neck, and arms to help bring down the temperature.
Atlas cringed every time, his breath catching, but eventually a small sigh of relief slipped out at the blessed coolness against his burning skin. He didn't want to let his guard down around Jax, still suspecting an elaborate trap, but with the cold rags taking the edge off his pain, he was just... so... tired. He fought to stay awake, but the rare relief proved too much to combat, and he quickly slipped into unconsciousness, body relaxing for the first time in weeks.
Jax stared down at his sleeping form for several minutes, some old part of him void and aching. A memory he'd worked hard to bury and forget being dredged up...
His apprentice from over a decade ago, a brash, bold young individual with all the skill... but none of the caution. It was one of the few times he'd ever enjoyed having someone to talk to, someone to train how to fight.
And Atlas... Atlas reminded him of that friendship from long ago. Young, and injured, just like his apprentice had been, only different. His apprentice's injuries had been... deeper. More invisible. He'd hunted with an insatiable vengeance, bitter toward the cruel world.
His apprentice had been too reckless... too cocky... part of his quirky personality. But one day it had caught up with him in the worst way possible, when Jax and his apprentice had been on a mission together. It had gone so, so wrong. So terribly wrong. The loss still hurt terribly, even all these years later. Some days Jax would stare at the dark alleys of the city and wish he could see his apprentice's familiar black cloak one last time, the one Jax himself had given him.
Jax leaned back in his chair next to the couch, listening to Atlas's quiet, wheezing breaths, losing himself in a vivid memory.

swinging your interlocked hands between the two of you
clint and abra
this made me a little sad but it's chill.
“Just leave me here to die, Barton,” Abra mumbled.
Abra had curled up on Clint’s couch at what had to be the crack of dawn. Her body wracked with the beginnings of morning sickness—as it had been for a week now. She had yet to tell him why—it was her problem to deal with for now. She had been passing her horrible mood off on lack of sleep, or a spontaneous headache. She didn’t want to dwell on how soon that excuse would expire. How soon she would have to tell him the truth
She pulled the blanket over her head—hiding herself from the sun slanting through the apartment and Clint’s inquiring gaze. She had expected him to take one look at her and move on to the kitchen—more specifically, to the coffee pot.
Instead he had stopped at the head of the couch, leaning his hands on the arm and peering down at her. He shook off her protest with ease. She had lamely attempted to swat him away. He had given in for a moment, until he settled himself on the floor next to the couch— his head lined up perfectly with her line of sight
“Never. I’d miss you too much.”
"You'd miss me?” Abra peeked at him through the crochet loops in the blanket. Watching the way he lay languid on the floor, arms crossed behind his head, his face tilted towards her. Sunlight splashed across his torso, the soft golden glow turning his navy shirt a light blue. She pondered it for a moment—a life where they were both different, both ready to handle the secret she cradled close to her chest.
She could almost see him, cradling a baby to his chest as he sprawled on the floor. Walking around Central Park with a toddler clinging to his shoulders. She would laugh as he said something so profoundly idiotic, and he would smile, their intertwined hands swinging between them as they walked.
Almost.
It would have been nice, she mused. That other world.
But he was Clint. And she was Abra. And therein lay the problem.
“Yeah.” He answered as if it were the easiest thing in the world to say. She threw the blanket over her head, unabashedly staring at him as he continued talking. “Who else is going to show up to a classified government job in pajamas with me? Nat?”
Abra shifted onto her side propping her head up in her hand, peering down at Clint over the bundle of blankets knotted by her head. He blinked back up at her, a lazy half-smile on his face. Heat rushed to her cheeks and she dropped her face into the pillow that had previously been supporting her head. Embarrassment burning through her body and settling in her stomach. Why did he have this effect on her?
“Stop it,” she said, her voice muffled by the pillow. She raised her face out of the pillow after she was sure her face had returned to its normal temperature. She drooped her leg over the lip of the couch, flailing her leg about in an attempt to kick his shin. The closest she got was brushing his sweatpants with her socked foot.
“What?” he laughed, and she hated the way her stomach flipped at the sound. “I’m not doing anything.”
“Stop being so nice to me. It’s weird.” Clint pulled a face, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
“It's weird that I'm being nice?” He was chuckling to himself as he asked it, like he couldn’t believe the words that had just come out of her mouth.
A smile tugged weakly at Abra’s lips in spite of the nausea twisting like a snake in her stomach. She nodded her head once and flipped back onto her back. Staring up at the cracked ceiling of Clint’s apartment.
“Yes. Just go back to being—you.”
Go back to being Barton, she pleaded. Make it easier for me to let you go when this falls apart.

Tumblr media
The dimmed light of the lamp illuminates his gorgeous face, his icy blue eyes peering deep into yours. Up until not so long ago, you were holding his gaze firmly, scolding that impatient spirit of his for training despite being exhausted.
Of course you were right and ever since then, the Duke has been covered in pillows and blankets, face red and his speech all mumbled. A complete picture of misery he paints — sniffling every so often, runny nose with a blush, brows knitted together, and your favourite scarf wrapped around him as if it were his shield.
Except a little change, because at this very moment the quilt is thrown to the side and he has you on top of his body instead, frolicking his way into your pouty heart with precise thrusts.
Albeit it feels as though his veins have turned to fire, he cannot stop this erotic dance of hips smacking together, the sickness and arousal both burning him from the inside out. His muscular arms rest on your soft thighs, the rough texture of his skin sending pleasurable tingles up to your mind. You bounce up and down on his throbbing girth, taking him to the hilt over and over again, clenching around him with every roll of your hips. It seems that every time you come down on his length, he arches his back, pressing into you a wee more. His lower lip quivers, feeling your pussy kiss the base of his cock, creating sinful sounds as your juices drip all over him.
Before you lies a handsome man, gosh, you adore him so much, even in that sweaty cotton long sleeve that clings to his muscular stature beneath you.
“Mmh— ahh!” You moan as you bring your hips down, allowing his cock to slide against your pulsating walls in all of its glory.
The sound of slapping echoes through the room when he bucks up to meet your movements. It’s no easy task to mould yourself to his shape, damn, he’s so big you could swear to feel him up your throat.
“Wriothesley, love— fuck, I’m getting tired!”
“You’re doing so good, sweetheart. Up, up, keep going~!”
If it weren’t for his fever, you would certainly raise his temperature regardless of the weakened state he’s in. Sweat slicks his skin, but still he trembles, cold and hot warring in every shuddering breath. He grips your hips tight, fingers pressing into your flesh as to guide you up and down his thick shaft.
You feel divine at the power you wield over his mind — which drifts away until all he can sense is you creaming around his fat cock. The skin wrapping around your soft flesh and bones feels paper thin, every brush of air and his calloused fingertips against it sending sharp tremors through your delirium-wracked body.
One could almost believe it’s you who’s feverish, not the man who’s below you grunting and huffing like an engine that cannot be stopped.
“Gorgeous, look at me.”
You meet his piercing gaze, and he shoots you a sweet smile. His fists roam across your curves until he reaches your breasts and takes hold of them, weighing them, groping them. His calloused thumbs brush over your nipples, circling your sensitive buds until you’re unable to face him anymore, eyes rolling back from pleasure.
A bold move to put your palms on top of his, showing off how good he makes you feel. He bites his bottom lip as he stares at you with intense eyes, encouraged and so in love with you, his irises almost turning into hearts.
“You’re so beautiful, baby. Yes, touch yourself, use my hands how you want them to squeeze you, mhm…”
It just cannot be compared — to feel your heat in reality, to hear your moans from such proximity, to have the freedom to explore you freely.
You look too pretty writhing on top of him. More than in his fever dreams.
He continues the incessant tease of the pebbled nubs until your whines ring in his ears and your debauched expression makes his chest ache. He rolls his hips upward, bucking them to meet yours, harder, harder, stiffened shaft sliding inside of you with purpose.
“G-gonna cum!” A wanton plea slurs out of your slack-jawed mouth.
“A little longer, baby, hold on—!”
The tips of his fingers leave red marks on your soft skin as he works to get you both off, grinding your hips together just to get your cunt to dew his dark pubes with droplets of completion.
“Me too, I’m close, too.” He mutters, his head falling on the pillows behind.
You give him one last squeeze before sitting up, his eyes watching closely as your ass moves back and forth along his swollen cock.
“Are you going to cum inside?”
“I can do that if that’s what you want.”
It would feel like paradise, being filled by his cum. His words make your heart race faster than ever and the deep hue of his voice sounds even raspier — his offer incredibly tempting.
“No need to be shy about it, love. Don’t deny it,” he grunts as you lift yourself up, giving you the perfect opportunity for him to hammer into you all the way, just like you’ve always dreamed of.
Each stroke hits you so good it makes you tremble; you almost can’t contain your orgasm, not sure how much longer you can handle this. As if hearing your thoughts, he thrusts deeply into you, burying himself completely in your hot tightness, the very tip kissing your deepest parts, pressing to your womb. It’s enough to send you over the edge, but he is relentless, never giving you a second of respite just to elicit that loud cry out of you. Body naturally trying to pull away, but his muscular arms wrap around your waist, holding you close.
“Everything, baby. Take everything.”
The waves of your release crash into you, overtaking your senses, and so you quiver in his burning embrace. Your cunt clenches tightly around his hard shaft, your walls convulsing violently.
His name falls from your lips, repeatedly, over and over just like he fucks his cum into you until there is nothing left in his balls, until he has driven you completely mad with pleasure.
With the back of his knuckles, he wipes his mouth clean, a little bit of drool escaping when he moaned a moment ago at the saturated overstimulation coming from his spent girth pulsing with remnants of shared high. His face is flushed and beaming, and he pants quietly, but a low growl still rumbles in his throat, still reeling from the intensity of what you two have just experienced.
As you slump along his broad chest, he kisses the top of your head softly, so cute, rubbing small circles over your heated skin. His gesture has one emotion written all over, soaked into the tender feeling… love, love, love.
“I’m pretty sure that you have sweltered out all the sickness out of you by now.” You sigh, nuzzled into his neck, a tired giggle tickling his thickened skin near the scars.
“Hmm, we can always repeat it if I don’t.” He smirks in return, mercury silver eyes flicking at you from under the matted mane of dusty black bangs.
“Oh, you’re unbelievable!”
“Hehe…”

"Valryn?" Feet dipped into the babbling brook, yellow orange eyes sought to meet those of her lover. Her horns gently glistening beneath the rays which broke through the trees above. Soon most of the green around them would be no longer― it was already starting to lose its colour. Either they'll have to move onto warmer lands or find a house to live in. Tomoe didn't mind either way, they'll be together after all.
"Do you believe in soulmates?" Perhaps a silly question, but one that's been on repeat in her mind.
@chiryxushi
The beginning of autumn, where the waters and air gradually shifted to a colder temperature. The Ancient one, nearly immune to the cold, with his constantly heating form from the fire that burned within him, laid on the rocky and wet surface of the edge of the brook. His laziness present in his body, relaxed and enjoying the rest time of their travels.
Tumblr media
Dark lashes fluttered with a blink and bright blue eyes shifted to gaze upon his pale haired lover at the call of his name. His body shifted and he lifted his upper body to rest against the palm of his hands.
The question that came after, made his brow raise, waiting for a second before realizing she wasn't merely going to rub it as a joke. "For someone like me who has lived since 'ancient' times, such a word became no more than a hopeful word for love sick fools." He began, his voice calm and his legs shifted. Clawed feet dug into the dirt and lifted his tall form from the ground.
He took a few steps closer to Tomoe and lifted his hand to place the side of his index finger under her chin. "But I'm old, and I learn, I observe. Myself included. And I learn to change my views on things." He mused and gently petted the under side of her chin. "It may be quite sappy, so unlike my older self, but you, Tomoe, there's something different about you, something that makes me draw to you like a magnet." He gave out a purring growl.
"A dangerous little magnet." He teased. "So maybe, there's something real about all the people saying that soulmates exist. On my case, I think it took way too long to find anyone that came close to resembling the word." He tapped his free hand's finger at tip of Tomoe's nose. "So you better not go off and die, cause damn, I'm not going through another thousands of years of chaos."

Tommy’s magic in the hp verse
Tumblr media
Since I plan to play Tommy more in his hp verse when I come back to writing, I thought I will explain more about his Magic.
List of spells
Memento - remembering after obliviate
Illusio - creating an illusion others see
Somnia - sleeping spell
Transfero (to bear across) - taking someone’s wounds to bear them for them
Vacivus- „deleting“ someone’s emotions
Delens - blocks nerves (doesn’t heal them, only blocks them which in some cases can help temporarily with sickness and nerve pains)
Compassio - stronger transfero to feel what the other feels (like empathy)
Exuro - increases the blood flow and therefore raises someone’s body temperature (creates fever - which can also be supportive when it comes to a healing process) but can be dangerous when he uses it too strongly cause then someone melts/burns from inside
Conglacio - freezes motion (not time)
Sectum sempra- inflicts wounds
I guess I don’t I have to mention that I stole Sectum sempra from Snape cause he doesn’t exist in my verse for Tommy but he somehow had a big influence on my character so it just made sense. Also I hope we all know that only because Tommy TRIES to “heal” emotions and experiments with this kind of Magic, doesn’t mean it always works how he planned. For example Tommy tried the obliviate spell often on himself to forget someone he cares for so Riddle wouldn’t see this person in his memory during the war, but it only fractured his mind. It helped with his facade but of course it traumatized Tommy that sometimes he doesn’t know what’s real and what not anymore. Also taking emotions should never be allowed and of course if Tommy takes something from someone he could easily get a meltdown from it cause he can’t process all those feelings (his own and the ones he takes) or leaves the “saved” person empty without feeling anything at all. Also if someone is bleeding out and Tommy takes their wounds, if there’s no one close able to heal him he could easily die too. And he also can’t heal himself either. Nerve blockings never heals the nerve, just blocks its function for a certain amount of time. So he won’t be able to make someone walk again who can’t, it’s just that he can block certain pains and effects like nausea by blocking nerves. So don’t think I play him in some kind of godmode, his magic has consequences but it was a nice aspect for me to bring that in and maybe this helps to understand how his magic works and how he can rather cause bad effects with dark arts than do good magic.

He tries not to be too enthusiastic — tries not to show just how badly he needs this, how badly he wants it. It means showing too much. It means being vulnerable in front of a mech he doesn’t trust, not anymore.
Yet in his drunk stupor Rodimus returns Prowl’s actions in earnest— kisses him back like he means it— or, perhaps, kisses him like it means something.
Prowl’s touch is as intoxicating as the engex itself, and Rodimus feels sick about it. Tries not to think about it— tries to not think at all. It is forceful, and it hurts, and there’s nothing else he’d want or expect from the Enforcer. There is nothing gentle about their relationship.
(To return such kind cradle, Rodimus forcefully holds the hand at the small of his back, squeezing and intertwining their fingers. He raises the temperature of the tip of his own just enough for Prowl to feel it, like the familiar burn of a gun after it’s been fired. Just enough that it leaves a mark, enough that his presence can’t be so easily forgotten.)
There is an urge to speak, to respond to words spoken in kind with those that rot. Yet as much as he’d like to speak, the racer does not. There’s too much that can be ruined by speaking. There’s far too much that can be broken by words. He will let Prowl do that, this time. For as long as he wants to, or for as long as the engex in his systems tells him it’s okay to.
( His processor feels like it weights too much for his body. Though Rodimus lingers at Prowls lips, tasting the engex in his tongue and forcing himself to believe this is good and not a mistake, the Captain moves to his neck and preemptively bites it, light at first.
He lets out a sigh. There is no space here for something soft, even if deep in his processor, buried under six feet and a few more of betrayals and anger, he wishes there was.)
Something in his tank causes his grip to tighten, the flares to burn hotter. The engex refuses to let him forget— his best friend is gone, because of his mistakes. There are people who haunt his ship because of the enforcer before him and— and here he is, kissing said enforcer like none of it happened, like they’re just taking a break from patrolling the streets of a newly found planet.
He feels sick. His chest hurts. He must deserve this, certainly, because he wouldn’t be doing it otherwise. This disgust at himself— his actions, his own stubborn way of being rebellious, disgust at leaving marks upon a frame that would much rather take his home away than simply allow him this one thing.
Rodimus stops. Places his forehead against Prowl’s in a way that is full of sorrow and perhaps an underline of an apology, never looking him in the eye. He chews the inside of his cheek, moves his grip from Prowl’s hands to his shoulders, circles the armor with his thumb.
He opens his mouth to speak. (Words are stupid.) He forces himself to look at Prowl. (All he feels is nausea.) His optics flicker, rapidly, confusion and regret and everything coming at once, despite the engex. Rodimus wishes he’d gotten something stronger. Something that would allow him to forget this by morning, when he takes his shuttle and flies back home.
His tone is low, too uncharacteristic. His field, although disorientating, can pass on SorrowRegretAnger through the fog, thick as it is. “I’ve got—“ the first lie is terrible enough his processor spares him of it. Stops halfway through, starts again. “I’m not doing this.”
It’s been too many years, too long in forced solitude. His tank churns and he feels the engex attempt to make its way back up his intake. Though he takes his time to part (there’s too much he can’t say, too many things that he should’ve forgotten and left buried— despite it forcing him to go back for Prowl to what was obviously a trap) Rodimus does find the strength to do it. There’s too much to risk, too much harm he wants to inflict upon the mecha he had been sharing a drink and a chat with, and he’s too fucking tired for this. Megatron’s in his ship, and he has to do something other than— he doesn’t look at Prowl— doing things that will only worsen his state upon going back to the Lost Light.
To respect that, he doesn’t even truly say goodnight when he gets up and heads for the sofa. But the lingering, drunken touch on Prowl’s cheek is perhaps enough of a farewell.
There's a moment inbetween Rodimus' silence and his speaking where Prowl's smirk slips from his face in favor of a resting frown. Maybe it's when Rodimus pulls him closer, feeling the tug of warm arms snaked around his neck. A tac-net made to track the movement of a thousand things, down to the decimal, now focus intense on every little detail in the captain's face. The sink in his cheek from his dentae chewing at the inside of his mouth, the flickering shift in his optics, the flecks of darker metal that scatter under his eyes and nose. Prowl commits it to memory. A useless endeavour, a smarter part of his reminds, the memory will be corrupt by morning.
There's something funny about it. There's something funny about it but Prowl doesn't laugh. He does not offline his optics, but for a moment he relishes in the warmth of the room, the warmth of the mech sitting right up against him, hot in his hands. Prowl doesn't think his room has ever felt this warm before.
The comment of trust is nice, but it stops at that. Long has he moved on from the back then, and Prowl, ever famous for his pitiable foresight, appreciates it in the same way one might an unwanted gift. In consolation, or perhaps an inebriated apology, he moves his hand down to the small of Rodimus' back strut, holding him close.
Eye contact breaks when Rodimus kisses him under his optic. Prowl's vents stall at that, having expected something- he's not sure. Something worse. Something that hurt. It's curious. Prowl has never thought of Rodimus to be cruel. Neither of them are here to be gentle with each other, and yet, that is what the tactician is given, and that is what he gives in return when he kisses Rodimus back.
His other servo moves to the back of Rodimus' helm, pushing the shorter mech closer if only to meet him in earnest for a brief moment. The engex in his mouth is heavy enough that Rodimus could probably taste it, and as Prowl quietly breaks away to speak, he leaves no distance between their faces at all.
"...All that trouble tonight, for this." Spoken in a murmur, only for the other to hear. His tone is difficult to place. A pause- before Prowl quietly kisses him again, less tender and more urgent. There is a burning in his chest, all regret and revulsion, and- and there's a preemptive mourning, too. A kiss with a sense of finality. Prowl's servo tightens against Rodimus' back, enough to hurt only a little. This is uninhabitable. He is uninhabitable.

"Are you okay? Do you have a fever or something?" Abi questioned worriedly, reaching out to place her palm on your forehead.
You jolted back, freezing up. "No, no- I'm fine!" You squeaked, avoiding the group's eyes.
"You sure? You're burning up there," Dylan said cheekily, raising an eyebrow.
At his words, you felt your cheeks grow warmer, embarrassment spreading throughout your body. God, you were so obvious.
You forced a smile, willing your skin to revert to its original temperature with little success. "I swear I'm fine, it's just uh, hot out here," you mumbled, looking anywhere but at Dylan.
Luckily, the other counsellors left it alone, clearly realising that you were uncomfortable. But Emma refused to let this go. After the counsellor’s meeting, she cornered you, her arms crossed and her face determined. With a smirk, she said what everyone had been thinking the entire summer.
"You like Dylan, don't you?"
Your eyes widened. Oh no.
"Uh... no? Why... why would you think that?" You stuttered, trying desperately to walk around her but getting blocked by her body each time.
"Because you turn into a simpering mess around him," she giggled. "Don't worry though, it's really cute. But it's getting kinda pathetic at this point. You need to make your move,"
You gulped. "My move? I don't move, I mean- I don't make moves, Em," you stammered, flushing at the mere thought of flirting with Dylan. It would not end well.
She sighed, rolling her eyes. "You don't need to be worried, he obviously likes you back. You just don't notice 'cause you can't get through a single conversation with him before running away," she said pointedly. "Look, just give it a try. Talk to him! See how it goes,"
You bit your lip uncertainly. If this backfired it'd be insanely embarrassing. I mean, what if you made a fool out of yourself? You wouldn't ever be able to live it down. But on the other hand, you were getting sick and tired of having to avoid Dylan all the time. In truth, you loved talking to him. He was funny and sweet, albeit very sarcastic. You honestly wished that you could be like that, so chill all the time. Not caring what others thought. Maybe then you wouldn't get so blushy around him.
You took a deep breath. "Fine... I'll try," you murmured, hoping to hell that you wouldn't mess this up.
Emma squealed in excitement, grabbing your arm. "Yes! Okay, we need to prep you. We just need the perfect time for you two to talk, somewhere private where it's just the two of you – no pressure,"
You froze at her words. "Just the two of us? No no, I do way better in a group,"
"You literally don't talk to him when you're in groups,"
"Exactly."
She looked at you, unimpressed.
"It's just that... whenever I'm alone with him, I freeze up. I go bright red and make a fool of myself," you admitted.
"Because you're thinking too much. Just don't overthink it. Look, he's in the radio station right now. Go over and see him, it's the perfect chance to talk. And hey, if it is a disaster, I'll take full blame."
And so, that was what lead you outside the radio shack. Your heart was jumping in your chest and your brain was trying to psych you out in every way possible. You reminded yourself of Emma's words. Don't overthink it. Way easier said than done.
You inhaled deeply, taking a few breaths before knocking on the door.
"Who's there? Is it my bestie Ryan?" You heard him call playfully from inside.
You raised a shaky hand and opened the door. You peered into the room carefully. He was sitting down at his station, watching you curiously. You smiled awkwardly, stumbling into the room. Literally stumbling. Before either of you could say a word, you tripped over a bag near the door, sending you flailing face-first towards the floor. You shrieked, closing your eyes as you braced for impact. This really couldn't have gone worse.
Instead of the hard wooden floor, you collided with a soft warm chest. You looked up to see Dylan's face so close to your own. You felt a blush jump to your cheeks, but you weren't oblivious enough to miss the pink dusting his own.
"Wow, you really fell for me, huh?" He chuckled awkwardly, steadying you as you tried to regain your balance.
You jumped apart from him.
"I'm- I'm so sorry, ohmygod-" You mumbled hurriedly. "God, I'm such a disaster, I swear. I wasn't looking where I was going, it was totally my fault, I'll just go-" You garbled nonsensically, looking everywhere but at him.
You turned on your heel, darting for the door. Until you felt a hand on your shoulder.
"Woah woah, what's the rush? You don't need to leave," he smiled. "What else would I do without your amazing company?"
"You probably wouldn't have a ripped shirt," you winced, looking down at the damage you'd done when you'd fallen. You'd clearly held on a little too hard.
He blinked. Looking down at his shirt, he noticed a small rip and laughed. "Hey, you don't need to worry 'bout that, this shirt's super old. Speaking of shirts, any idea what material this is?" He raised an eyebrow at you, holding a corner of his shirt towards you to touch. You gingerly reached out, stroking the material.
"Uh... cotton?"
He shook his head with a mock sigh. "Nope... it's boyfriend material," he said with a very serious expression.
You couldn't help from laughing, looking down at the floor bashfully.
"You're funny,"
"I know, I know – it's a gift," he replied wistfully.
This was nice. Started off a bit rocky but talking to him like this was really comforting. As you both talked, you felt yourself getting more and more comfortable around him. Your walls were slowly being broken down, that charming smile and quick wit making you fall even harder than before. You felt the furnace that was your face cool down significantly, finally being able to make it through a conversation with him without turning bright red.
"This is nice, how come we've never talked like this before?" Dylan said, leaning back in his chair with a wide smile.
"I guess that's kinda my fault…"
"Kinda?"
"Okay, fully my fault," you gave in, rolling your eyes playfully. "I just, I dunno... you can be pretty intimidating,"
He gasped in offence. "Me? Intimidating? Really?"
You laughed. Maybe he had a point. "Well, you just seem so confident all the time. Like you always know what to say,"
His eyes shifted away from you to the side. "Yeah well... don't always believe what you see. I'm not nearly as confident as I come across, making jokes has just always been my default setting in uncomfy situations,"
You looked at him with soft eyes. "Gosh, I had no idea-"
"Nope, no mushy moments!" He snapped up, shaking his head vigorously. You laughed at his antics, rolling your eyes. "You have to be at least Level 5 friendship to unlock my tragic backstory," he quipped, smirking at you.
"Oh really? And what level am I right now?"
"Hmmm... I'd say a strong Level 3,"
"I'll take it."

Tumblr media
a groan left your lips as you shifted in your seat, the words in front of you dancing and twirling. the burning in your chest built up and you lifted your arm to cough into it for the nth time.
crap. you were definitely sick.
you also had to finish this last piece of work up, and a part of your mind itched at you to finish it before you rest. your fingers typed frantically as your eyes squinted at the glaring screen, a pathetic attempt to shield yourself.
a soft click sounded from the front of your room, the sound blending in with the symphony of your keys clacking. light footsteps pulled a creak out of the tired floorboards, the sound snapping you out of your funk.
“thoma?” hope stumbled out of your lips in the form of your lovers name, and it was satiated as thoma stepped into the room, a small smile gracing his face.
“hello dear.” a pause followed as thoma’s eyes searched your face, his smile slowly giving way to a frown saturated in worry.
“you look,, unwell.”
fuzziness creeped out from the corners of your eyes as you peeked up at him, the temperature of your fever affecting you in ways you didn’t think was possible.
“stay here darling.” thoma said before he left, as if your muscles would listen to you if you even attempted to move. not even a minute later, thoma returns, a small thermometer dangling from his fingers. his fingers tapped at your chin, a smile painted with sympathy forming.
“open up, let me check your temperature.” your tongue pressed down on the cool plastic, and a small whimper left your throat at the unwanted intrusion. thomas’s hand moved to your cheek, his fingers slightly rubbing your cheekbone as he waited, his actions showing more love then any words could at this moment.
a loud beep interrupted the momentary silence, and the device was fished out of your mouth gently. thomas eyes squinted as he peered at the numbers on the screen, the corners of his mouth turning down slightly.
“you’re running a bad fever. have you eaten?” his question was answered as your stomach made a noise pitifully in response.
“i guess not. let’s get some food and meds in you, and then you can rest. i don’t want you feeling worse.” thoma set the thermometer gently aside, and you could see his brain mentally making a small list containing all the things to clean and tidy.
you shook your head groggily, your body saying thing and your words another.
“i have to finish. this one um.” you pointed vaguely at your work, hoping he’d get the picture.
his eyebrow raised, the action speaking a question his lips didn’t. a deep sigh left your chest as you just weakly shook your head.
“i can’t.”
thoma looked down at you, a small smile spreading over his face as he moved closer.
“i’ll just have to,” he paused, his arms wrapping around you as he lifted you, your hands immediately flying to his neck for support, “aid you in your decision making.”
a complaining whine left your body as you rested your face in the crook of his neck.
“my decision making process is perfectly fine.” you mumbled into him. his laugh vibrated throughout your body’s as he shifted you in his hold.
“right, and i have black hair darling.” a small chuckle left him at his own joke and your own frown was replaced by a giggle.
gentle hands eased you onto the bed, thoma’s embrace being replaced by the embrace of the soft bed. your eyes closed automatically, you just realized how utterly exhausted you were. soft shuffling was picked up by your ears, and you reluctantly opened your eyes to see thoma leaving the room gracefully, his actions quick and smooth. you rested your head against the headboard, but was promptly picked it up again as another coughing fit overtook your body. you sighed, your eyes closing again as you let sleep overtake you, a time pass as you waited for your lover.
“love.” a thumb brushed over your cheek as your eyes opened slightly, trying to register what was happening.
thoma stood in front of you, a bowl of hot soup and a small container of pills sitting on your beside table. time passed slowly as thoma helped you eat, soft praises filling the air as the bowl slowly emptied. shapes were rubbed into your back as you choked down your pills, gentle hands wiping the tears from your eyes.
“you did so well dear.” thomas eyes crinkled he looked at you, a soft kiss being placed to your forehead, as he sat in a chair beside your bed, one of his hands smoothing your hair, the other resting on top of your hand.
“now my love. you work so hard. i’m so proud of you, and that won’t lessen just because you’re resting. in fact i’ll be even more proud.” he winked at you, sending your heart into a flurry.
a kiss was pressed into your temple, another to your cheek.
“sleep well darling.”
and with that, you drifted off into a world created by your imagination.
