I also think that when I see people demanding a *unique* oppression, that they are asking for something impossible and also are very much misunderstanding intersectionality in the first place.
I don't believe any oppression is truly unique. I do think there are faces of oppression that change with the demographic, but more likely than not you as Oppressed Group X have way more in common with Oppressed Group Y than you might think.
But also, Crenshaw's original paper on intersectionality discussed a specific context: black women being skipped over for hire where black men and white women were both getting hired, making that specific context unique to the intersection of black womanhood.
People get skipped over for jobs they are more than qualified for all the time. Even within the paper itself, there is discussion about this happening to black men and white women at other companies, just that this specific company was excluding specifically black women from its pool of candidates due to their specific bias against black women.
Experiencing workplace discrimination and hiring discrimination is not at all unique to black women. The *context* was. It was not "just racism" because black men were being hired, and it was not "just misogyny" because white women were getting hired. It was the intersection of both that resulted in black women being excluded.
When a trans man states that he is being removed from, say, a reproductive rights conversation and it's happening specifically because he is a trans man, what's meant shouldn't be that no one else struggles with reproductive rights. It means that it's not happening to the cis women who are actively leading the conversation, nor is it happening to the cis men who are pitching in. It is, however, happening to anyone with a uterus who is deemed as too "gender devient" to count: trans men, trans women, intersex people, and nonbinary people. Albeit, for different reasons, and the face of which changes depending on the demographic of the person receiving it.
But the conversation around reproductive rights is also one that must include disability, must include race, must include sexuality, must include class, must include age, because these things also have a direct effect on discrimination within the medical field and whether someone truly has access to the autonomy needed to make reproductive choices of their own without others choosing for them.
Similar to how we can understand the context provided in Crenshaw's coining of intersectionality to examine how black women specifically were experiencing something that neither black men nor white women were victim to within that specific example, so too must we understand that these are contextual and circumstantial conversations that will not always be truly unique.
After all, black men and white women do both get rejected for jobs on account of race and gender. Cis women and other marginalized genders frequently must battle for their right to make their own reproductive choices.
But when someone says "this happened to me due to the combination of my race and my gender", we must understand that likely the combination, the intersection, created a unique scenario that cannot be understood by only examining a single piece of that person's identity. So, too, must we understand the same when someone says "this happened due to the combination of my transness and my gender".
So when I see a challenge to name something unique from someone also flinging around the "learn intersectionality" phrase at those who are trying to describe the things that happened to them that hurt them, all I can think is that clearly that person does not understand interaectionality. Nor have they ever actually read the words of the woman who coined it. She's still alive. Her TED talks are on YouTube. Many of her essays are online for free.
Finally, I must remind these people that Crenshaw is not the woman who coined misogynoir, and while both Crenshaw's and Bailey's theories do work in conversation with each other, being discussed by different people does mean there is not a 1-to-1 basis to compare them to. There will be disagreements and inconsistencies between the two because they are two different people.

This is not the slightest bit true.
Maybe for some corporate offices / corporate based retail chains & the like where you are just a number, then MAYBE this could be true... but in today's world, this doesn't seem to hold up, or, it at least hasn't been my experience.
I have worked in some form of management role between three different jobs over the course of 7 years prior to the car crash I had been in, back in 2023. When I had interviewed for each position prior to getting them, I had been my genuine and authentic self.
For context, I was an assistant manager, then was promoted to a store manager, and managed two different store locations for a retail CORPORATE store. I was, however, being underpaid, so I had requested a review and raise, and though my review went spectacularly, they could not offer me the pay I wanted, and I left to work in a Doctor's office. I got weekends off and had great health insurance, and the latest I would be home would be 7pm most nights vs 9pm, so it was a no brainer to leave.
When I worked in the Doctors office, I climbed the chain fast, and went from a front desk worker, to a site supervisor, before being promoted to the front desk manager for all SIX locations. A few months later COVID hit, and I lost a lot of my staff. I HAD to work, I couldn't afford to stay home... So, I got worn down real fast, and wound up butting heads with the practice admin. She was honestly awful. There was no way I could come to any sort of compromise with this woman, so, when I received a job offer from a friend, I left to work in a construction based field doing office work...
After 5 months in my most recent job i had been promoted to the office manager/service manager, then was relieved of the service manager position, but was given the sales manager title that way my skills could be better utilized.
In every role I applied for, I had been honest, polite, attentive, and I asked questions. I didn't try to pretend to be anything I wasnt, and wound up getting the jobs.
In these management positions, I was responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training new staff members, as well as doing my own job duties, which usually went hand in hand with whatever my team was responsible for.
In every field I had been working in, when I went to interview someone, depending on the role I was hiring for (receptionist, cashier, scheduler, customer service rep, etc) the criteria obviously changed slightly to fit the role, but overall, I looked for people who had experience with the position I was looking to fill, and I looked for people who could show an overall level of basic competency.
I also always looked for:
Empathy
Compassion
Kindness
Responsibility
A sense of humor!!!
The ability to work under pressure
The ability to work as a group or on their own
The ability to ask questions (you would not believe how often people are afraid to ask questions about all sorts of things in fear of being judged)
The ability to take constructive criticism as well as give constructive criticism
I actually called prior employers to confirm employment dates, and would just ask how they were overall. I never asked for specifics. Just how they were seen in their role, and if they had any issues that needed coaching, or caused write ups (it would not be held against the applicant, just so that way I could understand a separation from the previous job better).
I almost always hired people based off of their personalities, and their eagerness & willingness to work (as long as the experience was there).
I worked with my employees, and constantly trained, offered help and support, and did what I could for them.
I would always want someone to be honest with me at an interview, because spewing information at me isn't going to prove your ability to do a job or work with a team... It's just going to prove that you can read, which I suppose is important, but there are far more important qualities people have which make them valuable employees.
remember that interviews are not about giving a good and honest first impression that they'll carefully consider. interviews are about saying the special words and phrases they're looking for that give you points and when they tally those up whoever earned the most job points wins

I cannot understate how clever and beautiful Penelope's response to wyfilwma is. In the original myth, Penelope literally isn't sure if the man before her is truly her husband, so she asks him to move a bed that is impossible to move. A fact about their relationship that only he could know. When he gets absolutely flabbergasted over this request, it's proof that it IS him.
In Epic there is only one change. Instead of Penelope being unsure, Odysseus is unsure of himself and feels like he would be unrecognizable to his wife. He keeps telling her over and over again, I am not the man you knew, and it's almost as though he's trying to convince himself, too. Like since he crossed every line he's killed all the gentleness in him, and he has to force himself to accept it. Penelope knows better, Penelope knows him. Instead of using their wedding bed as a way to prove it to herself, she proves it to him instead.
"See that wedding bed? Could you carry it over?
Lift it high on your shoulders and take it far away from here"
Shes talking about their bed but she is also talking about their love, their history, everything that makes up their marriage. Its like shes asking him, if you truly are someone else- here's everything that we used to be, everything that we built together, throw it out. You're not the same, right? Then surely you can detach yourself from it all.
But he cant. he cant he cant he cant and she knows that. The shock and the outrage and the pain of being asked to do such a thing hits him with a full force and he talks of how he made the bed, what its meant to them, why he couldnt possibly move it away.
"Do you realize what you have asked me?
The only way to move it is to cut it from its roots"
To cut it from the roots would be to sever their love entirely, it cant exist without what came before and what came before was the two of them. He fears thats what she wants, a completely uproot of their life together. But the fact that he fears it, truly deeply cares like a sentimental bastard, the fact that he could never not be the man who loves her is what she's been trying to show him all along.
"Only my husband knew that
So I guess that makes him you"
like my GOD. THIS LINE. He cannot be anything but her love because he is the only man who knows what they are to each other. She says it and that is final. Moving it is impossible because seperating the man he used to be from the man he is is impossible too. They are one in the same.
"I will fall in love with you over and over again
I don't care how, where, or when
No matter how long it's been, you're mine
Don't tell me you're not the same person
You're always my husband and I've been waiting, waiting"
She is not loving him by ignoring the trail of bodies in his wake and her love does not change the carnage-- in fact she is the reason for it, she knows this and she doesnt care. This is her husband now and always. And as long as bloodied hands will still hold her weaving ones he is the same exact man she's been waiting for.
It is such a beautiful message to leave your audience with. It is so perfect for Penelope as a character and the emotional weight this song has elevated my understanding of the odyssey and their relationship. Twenty years is so long, everything has changed, we have done unforgivable things to get home to each other-- because our home is each other. You are sharp and cruel and I am cunning and so so angry and we are both so tired but guess fucking what, I love you. No matter how long its been, youre mine.
#epic the musical#epic the ithaca saga#odypen#this is my tribute to this musical <3 i was gonna draw something but analysis felt more fitting#i cannot breathe when i think about this song#ill miss you epic saga releases :(

How to cure a grump (4)
Summary: You’re losing your job on Christmas.
Pairing: CEO/Boss!Bucky Barnes x fem!Reader
Warnings: grumpy Bucky, mistaken identity, kinda fake dating trope, snowed-in trope, John Walker bashing
How to cure a grump (3)
“That audacity,” Bucky angrily mutters. “How dare he talk to you! He should be ashamed of himself and his actions!”
You blink a few times. What happened not minutes ago was mind-boggling. Your former boss, the grumpiest person you ever met, kissed you to save you from embarrassment.
“Why?” You whisper so no one but Bucky can hear you question his intentions. His help surely comes with a price. “What do you want?”
“What?” He furrows his brows, still lost in thoughts, as he watches John and his fiancé walk past your mother.
Your former boyfriend greets your mom, earning an angry look and no response. If it was up to her, he’d lie on the ground bleeding, and his teeth missing.
“We should get the things your mother wanted you to get. Give me the list,” Bucky says. He snatches the list out of your hands as you stand there, frozen to the spot. “You can pay the stuff here, and I’ll get the rest.”
Bucky walks out of the store, nodding at your mother as he hurriedly makes his way toward the next store.
Almost done with your mother’s list, Bucky walks toward the last store. He carries around the paper bags filled with more things your mother needed for dinner.
“It’s you again,” John smirks as Bucky wants to pass him by. It was already a long day. He’s cold and tired. Not to forget, he kissed his former employee and liked it. “I didn’t think she’d find a new guy anytime soon. Not after she lost me.”
John Walker hates losing. Watching Bucky kiss you in public, in front of people knowing him, and you made John furious. He doesn’t care that he ended your relationship and cheated on you. John Walker is the kind of guy wanting to eat his cake and keep it.
“What do you mean, with a guy like you?” Bucky dips his head. “The kind of guy promised a woman marriage and a future only to cheat on her with a cheap imitation?”
John’s face contorts in anger. “A good catch like me. Business owner, house owner, a stallion in the bed.”
Bucky wrinkles his nose. “Usually, when guys tell you they are good in bed, they are quick shots and can’t satisfy a woman.”
“Say,” John leans closer to look Bucky up and down, “does she still only want to fuck with the lights out? She’s a frigid little thing, isn’t she.”
Bucky takes a deep breath. It takes anything in him to not throw the paper bags at John. He won’t throw punches but fight dirty. “Not with me,” Bucky says, smirking. “I can understand she only wanted to have sex with you in the dark. With a face like yours in front of her, she must’ve been unwell all the damn time…”
John gapes at your former boss, who holds his gaze, still smirking. Without another word, Bucky walks past John, hearing people laugh about John who throws a tantrum like a toddler, calling Bucky names.
“He did what?” The moment you came back home, the phone wouldn’t start ringing. Your aunt was first to call to tell you what Bucky said to John. It didn’t change your mind about your former boss but made you chuckle.
Next was your neighbor across the street. They watched with amusement when John was taken down a peg by your former boss.
Six calls later, you are snorting because it’s John’s fiancée, asking you to tell Bucky to apologize to John. “Yeah, not going to happen, darling. If you’d excuse me now, we are in the middle of our Christmas preparations.”
You ended the call before she could say another word.
“Who was it this time?” Your mother chuckles as you try not to laugh. Of course, she enjoyed every call. Bucky fought fire with fire, and she likes him even better because of it. “Come on, Munchkin. Tell me who it was.”
“John’s fiancée,” you snort. “She wanted James to apologize to John for calling him a quick shot and that he’s got an ugly face.”
She shrugs and says, “What is true, has to remain true. James was right, and people love him for it. Mrs. Applebaum from the end of the street even clapped her hands. You must love James.”
“Mom,” you sigh, deep and exasperated. How can you reveal now that your mother likes your former boss so much, that you hate him? “Please don’t tell him that you love him.”
“Who loves who?” Bucky casually walks inside the kitchen, grinning from ear to ear. He enjoyed that you got flustered around him on the trip back to your mother’s house. “I parked the car.”
“Thank you, Jamie,” your mother coos and winks at Bucky. “I know it’s a bummer they didn’t have a free room for you, but you can stay here for Christmas. We have more than enough space and food. Right, Y/N?”
“Right,” you say, even though, you feel like this is a conspiracy between your mother and your former boss. “Uh—I’ll check on the heating and if we got enough wood for the fireplace.
“Munchkin,” your mother says, “why don’t you show James around the house? He hasn’t seen much of it.”
You give up and simply nod. Whatever you say would only hurt your mother’s feelings. If you must, you’ll play pretend over Christmas. You can always tell her that you and Bucky split up. The last thing you want is to ruin Christmas for your mom.
“Alright, show me around Y/N,” Bucky smirks at you. He’s enjoying this too much for your liking. “I can hardly wait to see every nook at your home.”
You grit your teeth but say nothing. Every word would only make your mother suspicious or cause a fight between you and your former boss.
So, you bite your tongue and politely ask him to follow you, murder in your eyes.
“Your mom is very nice,” he says while walking next to you. “What do you want to show me first?”
You walk upstairs, guiding Bucky away from your mother. You’re seething and can’t hold back any longer.
Grabbing him by his jacket, you push Bucky against the wall next to your room. “What kind of game are you playing?” You accuse. “I know you’re having a blast lying to my mom, but if you dare to make fun of her home, I’ll castrate you.”
“Whoa,” he yelps when you slam your fist into the wall beside his head. “When I said your mom is nice, I meant it. She invited me in and let me stay at her home for free. I’d never make fun of her or her home.”
“Good.” You step away from Bucky, exhaling deeply to calm down. “Listen, this is an odd situation. If you want to stay here for Christmas, it’s fine by me. I owe you for John and…you know.”
Bucky doesn’t mention the kiss, and you're thankful for it. “How about you show me the rest of the house, and we discuss how we keep on pretending to be in love…”

I’m STILL not done with this because the downplaying of Jinx’s actions vs the exaggeration of Caitlyn’s is really bugging me.
Yes, Caitlyn uses the vents to pump the Grey into the undercity. But she does it in TARGETED strikes. That’s what a “strike force” IS. It’s a small group of soldiers who go in quickly and precisely to attack vulnerable spots.
In this case, Caitlyn and her crew literally use the same vents they’re pumping the Grey through to get in and out of their targeted locations. Meaning Caitlyn isn’t “gassing the undercity” at all. At best she’s filling a single building with the grey while they attack and then filtering it out when they leave.
“Oh but gas dissipates differently in the undercity than in Piltover because piltover is open air and the undercity is close together and tight.”
Cool… that’s definitely a concern. But we never see any negative side effects from these targeted attacks. It’s established multiple times that you can endure the grey for a while, it just makes it harder to breathe. And while there are immediate side effects of it, you won’t develop terminally ill Viktor-like symptoms unless you’re been exposed to it consistently for years.
Everything Caitlyn is doing is to MITIGATE the loss of innocent civilian lives. Heck, they stumble across a guy Jinx has tied upside down on top of a grey exposed vent for god knows how long and the first thing the strike force does is to try and save his life!
Now compare that to what Jinx does IN THE SAME EPISODE. She sets off a bomb that blasts the entirety of Piltover with the grey. Mixing it with the paint is an even greater act of cruelty because that just makes it harder to wash away and get rid of the toxicity of the grey.
Look at how WIDE SPREAD that attack ended up being! Absolutely NOTHING Caitlyn has been doing has affected the undercity on such a scale!
And this attack affects women, children, and the elderly. We are EXPLICITLY shown this.
AND we are shown what happens to the kids afterwards. I understand this is Ambessa using this child to plead her case for Martial Law, but that doesn’t change that this kid still suffered greatly because of Jinx’s actions.’
Now yes, what Caitlyn is doing is still wrong. Nobody is suggesting otherwise. Caitlyn shouldn’t be attacking the undercity at all. But this idea that Caitlyn is somehow akin to a Nazi gassing the poor people is a really disgusting exaggeration of her crimes AND mitigates the ACTUAL terrorist attack by Jinx that DOES hurt innocent civilians.
And a lot of the justification I’ve seen for the hate against Caitlyn using the grey is often speculation based on nothing the show provides us with answers to, or wild assumptions about the physics of this grey’s toxicity.
Oh and one more thing, in relation to Viktor’s illness… just MAYBE consider that one of the reasons his illness spreads more quickly in his body than, say, Sky’s or Vi or Jinx or Vander… is because as a child he spent a lot of his time IN A TOXIC FISSURE CAVE GIVING THE TOXIC PRECURSOR TO SHIMMER TO RIO.
I dunno, just a thought that MAYBE that contributed to his ultimate health decline? Sky is literally swimming in the dirty waters outside the cave and she is fine… Jinx is baptized by Silco in the same dirty water and she’s fine. Vander and Silco both worked in the mines where the grey was most potent and they’re fine. Silco’s eye is only because of being choked out in the dirty toxic water…
I just think people are being VERY SELECTIVE about how they choose to view the ways the grey affects people.

Nerd! Loser! Ellie Williams x Fem! Popular! Reader
WC: 1.9k (soz, short ik)
Warnings: reader crying (emotional drunk), fluff
Part 5: Prev/Next
Let me know it you wanna be in the taglist! (this is the second last chapter, maybe last....) It depends
The weight of guilt had been like an anchor around your chest ever since that night. The words you said to Ellie still echoed in your mind, each repetition making your regret sharper and deeper. She had been nothing but understanding, but you had let your fear control you. You had been terrified of the world, of what people would say, of losing the life you’d built for yourself. But you never stopped to consider how much you could lose by pushing her away, by denying yourself and your feelings.
The next few days felt like a blur. You went through the motions—school, meals with your family, awkward interactions with friends—but all you could think about was Ellie. Her laughter. Her smile. The way she had looked at you when she still believed in what the two of you could be. You’d shattered that belief, and now you were left trying to piece things back together, only to realize how much damage had already been done.
It wasn’t just Ellie that you were worried about. You were terrified of your own reflection. Every time you thought about the future, about how things were going to change, your heart filled with dread. What if you lost everything? What if the people who claimed to be your friends turned their backs on you? What if the world didn’t accept you for who you really were?
But in your heart, you knew there was no going back. You couldn’t stay in the shadow of fear forever. Not when the person you cared about most was Ellie. Not when you knew she deserved more than the broken apology you had given her. She deserved the truth. She deserved someone who could stand by her and love her openly, without hesitation or shame.
You couldn’t pretend anymore. You couldn’t run from what you were feeling. And so, when you woke up that morning, something inside you snapped. You had to face this. You had to face her, and more importantly, you had to face yourself.
You got out of bed and walked over to your desk. Your phone sat there, still glowing from last night’s message. Ellie’s words had meant everything to you. They were a lifeline, a sign that maybe, just maybe, there was a chance for redemption. But you knew you couldn’t fix everything over text. The only way forward was to show up, to prove that you were ready to take responsibility for the hurt you had caused.
It was early, and you hadn’t had your coffee yet, but you didn’t care. You were already on your way out the door before your brain could convince you otherwise. The drive to Ellies house was a blur of anxiety and anticipation. Your palms were sweaty, your stomach in knots. You kept picturing the look on her face—the way she had looked at you with those sad eyes, like she wasn’t sure whether she could ever trust you again.
When you arrived at her house, your heart was pounding in your chest. You hesitated at the door, raising your hand to knock. What if she didn’t want to see you? What if she didn’t care anymore? But before you could overthink it any further, the door opened, and there she was—standing in front of you, arms crossed, eyes guarded.
“What do you want?” Ellie’s voice was flat, devoid of the warmth it had once held when she greeted you. It stung, but you understood. You had earned that coldness.
You swallowed hard, trying to steady yourself. “Ellie, I’m so sorry,” you began, your voice trembling. “I said those things because I was scared. I’ve been scared of what people will think, scared of losing everything, but… I hate myself for hurting you. I hate myself for pushing you away.”
Ellie didn’t move. Her expression softened for a moment, but she didn’t let go of her distance. You could see the hurt in her eyes, the way it still lingered even though she wasn’t showing it. She was hurting too, but she wasn’t going to let you off the hook so easily.
“I… I can’t be a lesbian. It’ll ruin everything—my reputation, my friends, everything I’ve worked for. And I know that makes me sound selfish and awful, but it’s the truth. I don’t know how to deal with this. I don’t know how to deal with us.”
The words hung in the air between you, but instead of the anger you expected, you saw Ellie’s eyes soften just a little more. She stepped forward, closing the distance between you. For a brief moment, you thought she might forgive you, that maybe you could fix this, but then her words hit you like a punch to the gut.
“That didn’t mean anything,” she said, her voice firm. “You can’t just cry your way out of this, Y/N. You hurt me, and you need to figure out who you are before you drag me along with you.”
Her words stung more than you could have imagined. You nodded, your throat tight, unable to say anything more. What could you say? How could you make her understand that you didn’t want to hurt her, that you hadn’t meant to push her away? You had to leave. You had to let her have the space she needed, but that didn’t make the hurt any less.
You turned and walked away, feeling more broken than ever. But as you reached the end of her driveway, you realized something. You were still carrying the weight of the apology you needed to give, the one you hadn’t quite figured out yet. You couldn’t give up now. You couldn’t let this be the end.
That night, after a long and difficult day at school, you sat at your desk, pencil in hand. You weren’t an artist. You didn’t have a natural talent for drawing. But you needed to do something, anything, to show Ellie that you were sorry. You weren’t sure if it would fix anything, but maybe it would show her that you still cared, that you weren’t just trying to sweep everything under the rug.
You sketched, your hand moving almost instinctively, guided by the memories of her—her smile, the way her hair framed her face, the way she looked at you when she was happy. When you were done, you looked at the drawing, and your heart sank. It was awful. The proportions were off, the lines were messy, and her face looked nothing like the perfect image you had in your mind. But it was real. It was from the heart.
The next day, at school, you sought Ellie out. You had no idea how she would respond, but you knew you had to try. You approached her in the hallway, the drawing folded in your hands. She was standing with her friends, talking and laughing, but when she saw you, she excused herself and came over.
“Ellie,” you said, your voice quiet but steady. “I made this for you. I know it’s not much, and I know I’ve been horrible, but… I just wanted you to have it.”
Ellie looked at you for a long moment, then glanced down at the folded paper in your hands. She took it slowly, unfolding it with care. You held your breath as she studied the drawing, her expression unreadable. You could feel your heart pounding in your chest, like it might explode any second.
Then, to your surprise, she laughed. “Is this supposed to be me?” she asked, her voice light, but not mocking. There was a small, amused smile on her lips.
You flushed with embarrassment. “Yeah… I’m not exactly Picasso.”
Ellie smiled again, the first real smile you had seen from her in days. “It’s terrible,” she said, shaking her head, but there was no malice in her voice. “But it’s kind of sweet. Thanks, Y/N.”
The tension in your chest loosened just a little. It wasn’t perfect, and you didn’t know if it would fix everything, but it was a start. It was a step in the right direction.
But even as you felt a small flicker of hope, you knew there was still more to do. You couldn’t ignore Olivia and the damage she had caused, the lies she had spread about you and Ellie. You had to stand up for yourself, for your truth.
You found Olivia later that day, leaning against her locker with a group of her friends. When she saw you, she dismissed them with a wave and turned to face you. Her smirk was as sharp as ever, her eyes gleaming with something like amusement.
“Well, well, if it isn’t Y/N,” she drawled. “What do you want?”
You squared your shoulders, refusing to let her intimidate you. “I know what you did,” you said, your voice steady, even though your hands were shaking. “You had no right to twist things and tell Ellie I was talking about her.”
Olivia raised an eyebrow, her smirk growing wider. “I was just being honest. Ellie deserves to know what kind of person you are.”
You scoffed. “You’re unbelievable. Why are you so obsessed with me? Is it because you can’t stand the idea of me being happy?”
Olivia’s expression darkened. “You’re pathetic, Y/N. You think you can be a lesbian and still keep your perfect little life? If you go through with this, I’ll make sure everyone knows who you really are.”
Her words stung, but you stood your ground. You didn’t need her validation anymore. “Do whatever you want, Olivia,” you said coldly. “I don’t care anymore.”
You turned on your heel and walked away, your heart pounding in your chest. For the first time in a long time, you didn’t feel afraid. You felt defiant. If Olivia wanted to try and ruin you, fine. You were done hiding.
Later that evening, you sat in your room, your phone in hand. Olivia’s words replayed in your mind, but instead of fear, you felt something else—something stronger. You were ready to take control of your story, to stop letting others dictate who you were.
You snapped a picture of yourself—no makeup, messy hair, raw and vulnerable. It wasn’t the most flattering picture, but it was real. It was you. And for the first time in weeks, you didn’t care what anyone else thought.
You uploaded the picture to Instagram with the caption: “This girl is a girl kisser.”
Your finger hovered over the post button for a moment, but then you took a deep breath and pressed it. The photo went live, and almost immediately, the likes and comments started rolling in.
“Proud of you, Y/N ”
“You’re so brave omg!”
“Girl kisser AND stunning? Unfair.”
“Love this for you!”
Not a single bad comment. Except, of course, for Olivia, who wrote, “You’re disgusting.” But you ignored her. She didn’t matter anymore.
Then, just as you were about to put your phone down, you saw a new message pop up. It was from Ellie.
“I saw your post. I’m proud of you, Y/N.”
You stared at the message, your heart swelling with a mixture of relief and gratitude. It wasn’t everything. It wasn’t the happy ending you had imagined, but it was a start. And for the first time in weeks, you felt a flicker of hope. Maybe things weren’t perfect, but you were getting there. And that was enough.

Yes please!! Explain more! I’m so invested in the story and kids!!!!! Also thank you for being kind 🩷
No problem!!
welp, okay, put extremely simply and probably just a little bit wrong too because its been a hot minute and I have the memory of a goldfish, here’s the gist of it:
Sanji was born the prince of a kingdome called Germa (though it’s really more of a glorified mercenary group with delusions of being a kingdom) in the North Blue, the third of four quadruplet sons. His father king judge fancied himself a scientist and wanted to make his children into supersoldiers (via genetic modification) that could lead his armies and destroy his enemies. He wanted them to be super strong, fast, have impervious metal skin, be totally obedient and have basically no emotions. Perfect soldiers!
His wife Queen Sora was not stoked about this, especially after seeing what it looked like in their firstborn daughter Reiju, so when Judge tried to pull the same thing with the quadruplets she drank a special syrum to counteract the conditioning. Unfortunately it only worked on one of the princes, Sanji, and the other three (Ichiji, Niji, and Yonji) came out modified and were trained by their father into being perfect little monsters that made Sanji’s childhood a living hell. Sora was super sick fter all that and eventually died when the princes were very young. Long story short Sanji eventually escaped with Reiju’s help, got picked up by Zeff after Tragic Backstory 2: Starvation Rock Boogaloo, and eventually joined the straw hat pirates. Fast forward some more and there’s this whole *thing* that happens with his birth family trying to blackmail him into a political marriage blah blah blah blah he’s eventually rescued but now he’s very worried that due to certain circumstanced, his genetic modifications might have just been dormant and are now awakening within him, and eventually he’ll turn out just like his siblings, which is like, one of his worst nightmares. It hasn’t fully happened yet, but who knows!
So that’s all what happens in canon. What I’m doing in my own little fankids au is imagining that the genetic mutations are in fact dormant in Sanji and while they never fully materialize in him, they do pop up in one of his children, because genetic. So Kuina has black hair (because the mods include hair color changes and if Sanji was fully modified there’s evidence his hair would’ve been black) and she has unbreakable skin and enhanced physical abilities and she has… I guess what can be described as an empathy disorder? Like she experiences emotions differently and isn’t great at understanding/mirroring emotions in others. However, I don’t believe that makes someone a monster. Sanji’s brothers are absolutely terrible people because they were raised to be that way by Judge, who is absolutely a monster himself, entirely of his own volition. Reiju is not as bad as her brothers, because she had some positive influnce from their mother Sora. Kuina is gonna grow up absolutely surrounded by love and a lot of very honorable moral conviction, so while there will be ups and downs, I think she’s gonna be all right.

THEORIES:
Let's play again
Tsukasa's age
ANALYZES:
Hmmm……Tsunene?
The butterfly metaphor 🦋
You stopped to think that technically the Mitsuba who is in this reality never died, and if he never died, he wasn't "killed" again by Tsukasa and Mitsuba 2, the one who devoured number 3's heart, technically never existed
JSHK Chapter 116 – Brief Analysis.
YUGI TWINS:
That boy was still that boy
The same hole.
Sonnet of the Twins
All relationships have one law: never make the one you love feel alone, especially when you're there.
ASKS:
Do you have any ideas or theories about why Kou still has the seal on his weapon?
i just wanted to point out Nenes great character development in these few chapters(especially 115) where she changes from obsessing over any guy to just plainly admitting her love for Hanako . Obviously in this recent chapter we see this , and I just love it .
Tsukasa travels through time . Does this make the entity control him and change his form and age ? So hanako killed him and imprisoned him with the borders so that he would not change the timeline that I know , such as killing one of the mysteries and other things. Why is hanako unable to control him, and he is the yourishiro who created him??
Tsukasa, Sakura and Natsuhiko couldn't be frozen. Which one then?
I'm confused about the new chapter, where is hanako and did Kako benefit from Hanako's moment of collapse when he said Tsukasa is an imposter ? Any theories 😞
Do you have any theories about the extremely dangerous thing Hanako did to get sealed?
Hanako always says that he became a ghost to atone for his sin of killing tsukasa , but tsukasa became a yourishiro to impraison him and leave him . Where is the protection in this , of course, tsukasa will consider it hanako hates him ?
I wonder when Hanako finds out that Tsukasa is not fake but there is an entity inside him what he will do then ??
Do you think that the accident that the misterious hand mentions in the omen chapter could have something to do with what the clock keepers have changed in the new timeline??
Hi, it's been a while since I asked you anything, it's time to do it :) based on everything we've seen, from your perspective where do you think this arc is going and what can we expect?
What do you think we will see in the next chapter? Do you think we'll see Kou and Mistuba trying to survive Tsukasa? Or will the chapter be just about Yashiro? I honestly have no ideas. I know it's hard to predict Aida Iro's mind, but I'd love to hear your theories
For Sakura's part, who do you think she's holding hands with?
Hello! I recently read the novel or game Narisokonai Snow White by Aida and Iro and well it seemed curious to me that she also had twins in that story
most of the manga It's written from Nene's perspective, but there are some moments that are from Hanako-kun's perspective. Would you like to talk about them?
In the images of the injured Amane when he was alive you can see signs that he was tied up and honestly in almost all of Aida Iro's art Hanako has ropes. What I don't understand is why Tsukasa's need binds him, because at first it seems like a sign of obsession like "you're stuck with me", but we know that Tsukasa just wants to fulfill Amane's wish and doesn't want to be with him. , so why do you think he tied him up? I doubt Amane could resist if when Tsukasa hurt him then why the ropes?
In your opinion, what do you think of the mirror hell arc? But for me it was the part where everyone is on the borderline of no. 3 was as if Tsukasa and Hanako during their meeting were playing roles like Tsukasa being the villain and Hanako being the hero. As if it was all just a joke. Of course I may be rambling, but what do you think?
i want to ask you about Tsukasa's eyes here they were black throughout the chapter but here they have a little light. What does that mean 🤔??
Perhaps Hanako sealed the reason for not entering his border and seeing Tsukasa all that time , so he called him and did not hear him to cut off the connection between them and someone was able to free him??
In chapter 82 in the red house. What do you think Tsukasa meant by writing a letter to Yashiro and Kou? I didn't understand 😓
I've been rereading the "Hanako of Magic" AU from the Halloween special and I honestly didn't understand it. Can you explain?
Tsukasa continues to reject Hanako and he is yorishiro . What should hanako do to reach his feelings for tsukasa ? He did not even notice that his brother was crying for him .in your opinion how can hanako return tsukasa to normal??
I was reading your analysis about the Yugi twins and the super toxic relationship they have;)
Also, doesn't he suspect Sakura and Natsuhiko, because sometimes this feels like a duo or trio, clearly what are they going to use the wish for, Amane or Sakura?
what if this tsukasa is looking for amane to play with him and will not rest until he finds him so he takes advantage of the students and plays with them ?? What do you think
So i had a question about Tsukasa in the new timeline; in the new chapter, after saying "are we playing hide and seek, he says this
I didn't understand when Akane made that reflection about whether that boy was really Tsukasa Yugi. Can you explain?
i feel that amane was primarily responsible for the chaos in the manga from beginning if he had told tsukasa that he loved him but he did not and he made him Yourishiro and left him and ehen tsukasa was not affected by his words he felt sad and said that he hated him . I think about how he would feel when he saw tsukasa in this bad condition and he called him . What do you think??
ok, so i was reading the new tbhk manga chapter and realized that: "baby Tsukasa" has Amane's eyes, and "older Amane" has Tsukasa's eye, do you think the roles were switched and Tsukasa was the one who got sick now?
when kou became possessed what happened to Tsukasa ?
First of all they remind us that Hanako is a very stupid puberty no one understands a damn what he is referring to, l only understood that he really likes the touch XD
hi :3 what arcs do you think we'll get in season 2 of tbhk?
Second season of jibaku shounen hanako-kun I'm very happy. In the trailer you can see that we will have the clock keepers arc
every one knows hanako is a killer but they don't know who killed him ? Who do you explain that 🤔
They call hanako the killer but they don't know who the victim was that he killed was his little brother why don't they know tsukasa like they know hanako???
I wonder if Yashiro even went to Tsuchigomori... I mean, suddenly it's night and the festival is over.
what is the worst tbhk ship?
will hanako telling tsukasa that he is a fake affect their relationship from Yourishiro's perspective ?
when Kako revealed hanako wanted to do prevented things i would like to know hanako and tsukasa thoughts when they looked at each other???
I love these pictures when Akane conforms Hanako with his crime and we see Hanako's shock what were his thoughts at the moment ??
Here there are theories that sat tsukasa's hand is like a corpse . Here what are your ideas???
I'm really looking forward to the next chapter, but would Aida Iro continue to focus on Mistuba and Kou with Tsukasa at school or would they focus on Yashiro? Any idea? Or acahs that have the probability of Yashiro also appearing there alongside Kou and Mistuba just like Teru and Akane did?
If you could choose how the next chapter would unfold, what would it be? I love hearing your opinions
why didn't hanako know and feel tsukasa's exit from the boundaries as his Yourishiro??
hey, what chapter do you think TBHK will end?
why was amane shocked when he saw tsukasa alive like him in the picture perfect arc ? What were his thoughts at that moment?
what do you think of the theory that tsukasa gets stronger as the yourishiro is destroyed because hanako is sealed and the power is transferred to his yourishiro ??
What do you think could make Tsukasa cry? From the beginning of the series until now, he has never been seen to cry despite what happens to him, so I was curious to know what you think.
I think Kou is going to have his "villain arc" in this new timeline!
i forgot where i read this, about how tsukasa before his disappearance, had no fangs but then after it happened, right when he said to kunishige that his wish will come true, there we see he had them?
if amane saw tsukasa's hole from the beginning and lived with him and killed him and made him a yourishiro , didn't he see this hole again ? Then what is the meaning of his descring tsukasa as a fraud ??
Regarding what makes tsukasa cry is receiving love from someone he didn't receive from amane when he returned and even hanako made his yourishiro him isn't that a sign that he loves him??
I feel like Tsukasa experience in red house forced him to mentally mature cause I don't think that's how a 4 years old would act
im curious abt how hanako and no.6
there are images running through my mind and i wanted to o hear your theories about them 😊
the yorishiros are destroyed and the power returns to the entity which in this case is inside Tsukasa so he becomes stronger, but if Tsukasa is yorishiro when it is destroyed, who will the entity's powers go to?
Hanako wants his brother to always be close to him but when he sees him he treats him with disdain and never hugs him but does he think about what Tsukasa wants???
If Nene was in trouble and needed help, who do you think would help her? (aside from the most obvious ones like Hanako and Kou)
What do you think Teru feels about Nene? There is a theory that says that the person Teru actually likes is Nene. Do you think that is true?
Do you think tsukasa will be the last yourishiro ? If so tell me your thoughts on how things will be because hanako wants to protect him and sakura and natsuhiko want to destroy him . I know I'm exaggerating but I like your thoughts 👍
Helloooo i wonder, if teru believes that the seven mysteries system is keeping the balance of two worlds, why is he trying to exorcise them any chance they got? Is it because they mingle with humans freely like the time mitsuba tried to make friends with humans who could not see him? Or is it just the hatred he has for them? Have a nice day<3
Hii I was wondering how do you think Amane would react to Tsukasa crying considering the fact that Amane said that he doesn't know much about Tsukasa and I wonder how he would react seeing a new side of him.
Do you think the teacher asked Kou to deliver it was Tsughimori? Do you think we will see Hanako-kun in the next chapter opening the door for Kou and Mistuba?
I know the chapter just came out and I understand if you don't have theories or ideas, but if so, how do you imagine if it's Hanako who opens the door for Kou and Mistuba? How do you think the scene would play out?
Hii i dont know if you already answered this, but what does hanako mean when he said "I like it, humans like you are my favourite kind." to Akane?
If tsukasa is getting destroyed/removal of his seal. When do you think it will take place? The final arcs or way before that?
Hiii lunar, a question, in your opinion, what kind of difficult situation was Tsukasa stuck in that made a guy like him ask for help at Amane?
Do you think tsukasa would have been self-destructive even if he had had a normal life? (without evil entities or supernatural sacrifices)
maybe two more means they are the only ones amane needed to sacrifice to finally get what he wished for from the entity in the house??
What are your thoughts on the latest chapter?
I've been thinking about lately is the yugi parents
it is that true hanako remembers like his brother looking at the moon ? Why doesn't he try to save him ? He just make him suffer 😔?
i wander how hanako will be when they return to the real world and he told tsukasa that he hates him and is a fraud??
I am not ready to see tsukasa getting destroyed/disappear my heart will break into pieces 😭. While amane/hanako will probably? get a happy ending/get to be together with Nene in their own way like cult/lily ? 😭 Not fair 😭
Definitely mitsuba is an important piece in the puzzle, but I don't know how much sense it made at that moment to take him out (another time).
What if tsukasa was supposed to stay in the cove or the hole with kanji after death because he secirifed himself but hanako made him a yourishiro locked in the border?
Hii, in your opinion, what is radio for tsukasa? In my opinion for him it is more than the object from which they can spread rumors, considering that the radio in official art is almost always in contrast with the knife of hanako, idk.. what do you think?
Hello 🤗! Do you have any thoughts on how tbhk could end or what kind of conclusion amane/hanako's story will have? Or on how all of his relationships will end, like with characters like kou, Nene, tsukasa?
when hanako locked yashiro up she struggled to tell him that she didn't want to so he let her go and had fun with her but hanako knows thst tsukasa doesn't want to be locked up and stay with him yet he doesn't let him go , how long will he keep struggling ? Will he ever convince tsukasa?
what if tsukasa exploded with anger and told hanako that he did all this to make him hate him and remove his seal because he doesn't want to stay and continue with his brother and that he would rather disappear 😔
I was wondering why the sakura brooch was in the shape of a rhombus, and looking around I read that the rhombus is spiritually associated with the "the mysterious of the woman who created earthly life"
If amane convinces tsukasa to stay with him and not abandon him and the entity inside him will they separate because tsukasa found a reason to stay??
we noticed hanako's look when tsukasa wanted to remove his seal , what were his thoughts before he attacked him 🤔
Hii, Lunarfairy! Today come with a theory.
What do you think about the theory that Kou is/will become Mitsuba's yorishiro?
I wanted to ask about the human yorishiros.
I was surprised to learn that Nene was the protagonist and not hanako lol
Akane told Kako about Natsuhiko wanting to destroy the yourishiro but he said that Tsukasa is the source of the problem what does he mean? ?
RANDOM:
Let's talk about how Kou's staff STILL has the seal that Hanako put on it????
Isn't it funny that literally an exorcist became friends with a ghost?
The entity calling Kou to the house? Does it mean that Tsukasa is still inside him?
Okay, let's talk about something random
Omg, it's so embarrassing >.<
So, it's been a while since I created this account and I've already gained some followers, thank you all for that :3 (it means you like the crazy things I post)
So I wanted to talk a little about myself (even though I think no one cares XD)
Ok, I'm going to be serious now XDDD
I created this account because I really like JSHK and I wanted to talk about some crazy ideas or theories about the series and I felt welcomed here ^u^
I want you to know that a lot of things I post are just some crazy ideas that I occasionally have and that it's okay if you disagree, be kind S2 or if you agree I'll be happy if you want to talk to me about it :3
In fact, I hope you feel free to talk to me if you want, whether with an Ask or a message, I love talking about JSHK, if you also love and like crazy theories you can come talk to me if you want.
Don't take the things I say here too seriously, about the theories specifically, I may change my mind in the future or it's just crazy in my head, the most important thing for me is not to be right, but to have fun!
I'm trying to unravel the story in the most entertaining way I can, so it's okay with me if I'm wrong about the things I post (because no one other than Aidairo knows what's actually going to happen) XDD
Anyway, that's it.
Some other information that I don't know if you're interested in but I'll leave it here.
I am a girl
I'm Brazilian, I'd like to make that clear because if there are any Brazilians who also want to talk to me, feel free! (Sou brasileira, gostaria de deixar isso claro porque se tiver algum brasileiro que também queira falar comigo sinta-se a vontade!)
I speak English and Portuguese
I post randomly, but I usually post a lot because I tend to create theories and crazy ideas out of completely nothing.
Anyway, that's all, if you've read this far, thank you very much for giving me your attention :3
Bye bye~

i have occasionally seen this argument that disliking Jiang Cheng is a typically Western response due to difference in cultural background, apparently Western readers don't understand Jc's actions because they come from an individualist society. The argument is that Jc is only acting for the welfare of his family/sect while Wwx is being 'ungrateful' towards the Jiangs and 'obnoxiously' trying to play the hero. Now I am not native Chinese but I do come from an Asian cultural background that emphasises family oriented values and filial piety, but I've never thought Wwx was 'abandoning' his people. I'm genuinely confused how championing the cause of the persecuted can be considered misguided heroism and misplaced priorities. Do you have any thoughts on this notion of a culture gap? I'm simply curious to hear what someone else thinks of this but I'll understand if you don't feel comfortable addressing this somewhat thorny issue.
Thank you for the concern, but I don’t think this is a thorny issue cause 1) I can read and 2) being slandered as “racist” for saying that a Chinese author does not condone abuse in her writings means nothing to me, while the people who say she does—whether Asian or not—are the ones engaging in sinophobia.
Jiang Cheng is an unfilial character who we are not meant to take as a model of filial character. He starts fights in front of his parents’ tablets in his clan’s ancestral hall. He insults esteemed guests in front of said tablets. He abandons the people who helped him reclaim his parents’ bodies and ensure that his clan could continue their lineage (now he is the only one standing in its way with his shit personality). To make matters worse, Jiang Cheng isn’t even upset at his clan’s massacre, his focus and priority is always that he lost his parents.
Meanwhile, Wei Wuxian, alone, is responsible for the current Jiang Clan’s existence because had he not existed, Jiang Cheng would’ve been disappeared by the QishanWen after the fall. There would have been no Wen Ning and Wen Qing to help. And even if they had stepped in, he would have burned all goodwill with them without Wei Wuxian as the buffer. And Wei Wuxian does all this explicitly because it was asked of him by the former leaders of the Jiang Clan. When he went into the ancestral hall, even though he was recalling true events of Madam Yu’s abuse, he still felt like it was inappropriate for the setting, apologized, and changed the subject. And when he reminisces on his days growing up in Lotus Pier, he not only remembers the Jiang couple and Jiang Yanli, he also recalls the countless people—clan members, servants, disciples, even the distant merchants and townsfolks—he came across that are no longer there.
Who exactly is the filial one, here?
#mdzs asks#anon#jiang cheng#once again: i have eyes and the ability to read#i don’t need a ‘cultural interpretor’ to tell me what an author wrote in their novel#this is not catholicism and i do not require a priest between me and the text

Someone who cared
Eva tsunaka x gn reader
[Spoilers for p:e.g. chapter 1]
A/n:and here is the Eva fic. I hope you enjoyed cause I really loved writing it. It's the happy ending my girl deserves
You were always Eva's anchor.
Your love for her was what grounded her to reality, what allowed her to keep going on in sleepless nights spent studying, through math competition she didn't even care about and in moments where she only wanted to cry in the shower because of situations she wasn't strong enough to handle, she reminded herself that there was someone who loved her because of who she was and not what everyone else thought she was. That there was a person she could always rely on and trust no matter what happened. You made her smile, a genuine pure smile, ever since your first meeting.
When at 5 years old she looked up from her book to see a person holding an ice cream cone to her
"What?"
"It's ice cream! Oh, it's cookies and cream, if you don't like it I can go change it"
".....do we know each other?"
"No but you just looked like you needed ice cream, standing alone reading isn't that fun"
"............"
"Quick! It's gonna melt!"
"O-oh"
She closed the book and grabbed the cone, giving it a lick before looking at you sitting near her on the bench
"Is it good?"
She just nodded and you smiled at her, a smile that made her feel all weird inside
"Oh! I forgot, mom only gave me 5 dollars to buy ice cream"
You pulled out some coins from your pocket and started counting
"One, two,three fo-"
"It's enough"
"Huh?"
"The ice cream cost 2 dollars, you brought two so it's 4"
"Oh you're fast at numbers"
"It's just math, 2 x 2 is 4 simple multiplication"
".....m-multi-what?"
Your confusion made a small smile appear on her face
"Just go to pay before it melts"
"Yeah ok, by the way, what's your name?"
"Eva, Eva tsunaka"
"Oh that's such a cool name"
"Really?"
"Yeah, I'm y/n l/n, nice to meet you evie"
"E-evie?"
"It's a nickname, a name friends call you, do you like it?"
".....so we're friends?"
"Yep,....... oh I guess I should ask you, do you wanna be friends?"
In that moment her soul itself answered and she made the second best decision she ever made in her life
"Yeah, I'd like that"
From that moment on you entered her life and changed it for the better.
It turned out you were going to attend the same elementary school, and since you were already friends, you basically always hung out. Well, it was more like you continued to be near her until she let you read with her at recess, but she wouldn't have it any other way, because whenever you were sick she could feel the difference between reading with someone and just standing under a tree while everyone else played in the grass.
".......how do you say that?"
"What?"
"This word"
You pointed at her book
"Oh its-"
"AHHHHHH!"
Your scream alerted her and she turned to towards you to see you crouching and hugging your legs while pointing at a caterpillar
"I-it's a monster"
"It's just an insect"
"B-but aren't they poisony?"
"It's poisonous and no"
Just as she was about to keep reading, she felt something grip her. Her whole face turned red as you hugged her for protection while muttering something about the monster getting closer. The weird feeling came back. It was somewhere above her tummy, and when she talked about it with her parents as they were putting her to bed, they just laughed between each other and muttered something about her first crush. Of course, at the ripe age of 7, she couldn't understand what that was.
It was some time during middle school that she began understanding her true feelings.
"You take everything that doesn't have an x in it and move it to the right. You also need to change their signs, got it?"
"..........w-what?"
"The positive become negative and the opposite"
You tried to write something before fully giving up and putting your hands over your head
"I don't get it, when did letters make their way in math?"
Your study buddy sighed and took a pen, trying to guide you step by step through the homework
"Can we take a break?"
"Not until you figure it out"
"Please, pretty please with a cherry covered in chocolate on top?"
"No"
"Come on please, we can play super slam sisters"
"Hm?"
You grab a controller and look at her with that smile, that smile that made the feeling come back to her, the feeling that she always had when she was near you, just looking at your smile made it impossible to say no
"Ugh, I guess a couple of rounds can't hurt"
"Yay you're the best evie"
You hugged her, and she felt her face flush red again
"Are you OK? You're so red"
"I-i'm fine let's just play"
"I'm gonna destroy you this time"
"We'll see about that"
You paused the game after the fifth time you lost
"So who was gonna destroy me?"
".......ok ok i admit it...you're really good at this"
Your compliment made her heart beat again, but she put the controller down and turned towards you
"Let's continue studying"
You sighed but nodded and sat in front of the desk again
"OK now do you get it?"
"....i-i think so"
You started writing the solution and Eva looked at it before her face turned into one of surprise
"That's correct good job"
"Yay! Now can we take another break, as a reward?"
"We just had one"
".....alright"
You picked up the pen again but this time started looking at the wall deep in thought
"......thank you"
"For what?"
"A lot of things to be honest, but what I'm talking about now is....helping me"
"With math?"
"Yeah among other things"
"It's nothi-"
"No it is something"
You turned to look at her, your eyes locking with her blue ones
"My parents............they can't afford a tutor, so I decided to ask you, I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm taking advantage of you, but I just really wanna be with you"
"What do you mean?"
"The high school I wanna go to, it's the same as yours"
"Huh?"
"But if I don't have good grades they won't let me in, and......math is a subject I'm not good at"
You looked silently at her before suddenly holding her hands
"I want to stay with you, you're amazing evie, you're so smart and pretty and awesome, I want you to be in my life. So I promise I'll try my best to get good grades, to be with you"
You still have no idea why you said that, and more importantly you still have no idea how your 14 year old mind still didn't understand that maybe you felt something more than friendship for the back and white haired girl. But if you could go back, you'd say the exact same thing, not only because that's exactly how you felt but also because of what happened during high school.
Eva couldn't handle it anymore, the feeling in her chest she learned to call love was growing more and more with every day you spent together, with every time she had to remind you to pay attention in class and with every afternoon spent studying and playing slam sisters. She felt like her heart could explode if she didn't do something soon. She needed to do something about it.
But what could she do? Confessing would be very risky, if you didn't feel the same, it would have genuinely destroyed her, not only because you wouldn't be dating but mostly because she knew that no matter how much you tried to fix things and play it off as if nothing happened, your friendship would have never been the same, it would have all felt so awkward and uncomfortable and it would have probably been better to just end your friendship before it became even worse.
She could not handle that. You were her best friend. Her............only friend.
But she also knew better than anyone that if she didn't confess, someone else probably would and seeing you hanging out and kissing someone else while knowing that if she had just been braver that could have been her, would have destroyed her even more.
So she decided to act on valentine's day of your second year of high school.
"So what's with the chocolates?"
Your sudden question makes Eva spit her water
"W-what are you talking about?"
You pulled out the chocolate box with the letter inside
"Only you would do something like this"
You showed her the note which simply said "128√e980"
You unfolded the letter showing that the equation spelled "I love you"
"The chocolate are also my favorite flavors, but the note is the obvious part"
".........I know it's stupid but-"
"It's not stupid, it's pretty cool actually, even if it did take me a while to understand eheh"
Eva looked away embarrassed but quickly grew even more flustered when you held her hands
"But I want you to tell me that you love me"
"I-i just did-"
"No, I want Eva tsunaka to tell me that she loves me, not the mathlete that everyone thinks you are, tell me with your own words, the ones from the bottom of your heart, not numbers. then I can accept"
Eva started sweating, for what reason she doesn't know, maybe her cheeks got so hot that they actually started burning, but she calmed herself and took a deep breath before speaking
"Y-you make my heart beat, I feel all weird when I'm with you, I just want to smile and hug you for no reason, ever since we were kids, I now know what that is, I love you, I can 100% say I love you"
You smiled brightly, and she couldn't help but smile too. You always had this effect on her. She just couldn't help but feel happy with you.
"I love you too, evie, you're the best girl I ever met, and I wanna be with you forever"
You suddenly kissed her, it was a very soft and short kiss, but it still succeeded in making her blush even more than anything that happened before, but still she wanted to feel like this more so she kissed back. And with that she officially became your girlfriend.
She can confidently say that confessing to you was the best decision she ever made. Simply because the years where you two were together were the best of her life.
It was the small things you did for her, those things that made her feel seen and special, something like buying her something for breakfast when she didn't have to eat because she was busy studying, or just listening to her rant about a new ARG she helped solve on the internet.
Even the more embarrassing things like showing up to one of her math competition with a whole banner with a bad but admittedly really cute drawing of her face and her name written with a heart while yelling:
"YEAHHHH! THAT'S MY GIRLFRIEND EVERYONE! SHE'S SUPER SMART, DESTROY EVERYONE ELSE EVIE!!!"
Sure, it made her want to die in the moment, but she would definitely be lying if she said it didn't warm her heart knowing that you cared so much about her and about her winning a competition even she didn't really care about
Just like your reaction to her getting her ultimate warmed her heart.
She hated being the ultimate mathlete. The utp just gave her this title without regard to who she really was and who she wanted to be, and she ranted to you about exactly that while cuddling. You just wrapped your arms around her and started comforting her
"Listen, I don't care what others say about you, or what they expect of you, to me you're Eva tsunaka, the amazing girl that i feel in love with, I couldn't care less about your ultimate, that doesn't define you to me and it shouldn't to anyone else. I love you because you're you ok evie?"
She felt her heart beating even faster than when you kissed her. Your words made her feel understood and so, so loved. She really needed someone like you
While she hated her talent, she couldn't deny that the fact that she was glad to have it if only because the utp gave you one too, and you would be attending eden's garden academy together.
"Are you OK evie? You look nervous"
She took a deep breath and sat on the bench in the train station
"......yeah, I guess I'm just worried about what people are gonna think about me"
"You mean your talent?"
She nodded as you sat on her right and held her hand
"If people pick on you because you're good at math, then that just means they're stupid and can't handle that someone is prettier and smarter than them"
"Hehe......thanks, but that's now what I meant"
"I know......then just get to know them"
"Huh?"
"If you get to know more people than they'll know the real you, the amazing girl you really are"
"............"
"Eva listen, I'm saying this as your partner and with nothing but your best interests in mind. I think you need more friends"
".....d-don't-"
"Or at least people to talk to, I know you have me, but I'm scared that I'm not enough, I want you to be happy, ok? So please, at least try, I don't care if you fail, but at least try to let people know that you're not just a mathlete, but a genuinely wonderful person"
Eva sighed and you kissed her cheek for comfort
"........I'll try my best"
"That's what I like to hear. Now get up and grab your luggage the train is almost here"
After the train arrived, you walked in it hand in hand, seeing all the faces of your future classmates. Little did you know that that train was gonna be the boat that would bring you to hell.
You knew Eva was lying about her talent. You knew from the moment the words ultimate liar slipped from her mouth, and you also knew exactly the reason why, she had told you why not that long ago after all. And you respected her choice. You didn't even need to talk to each other to make an agreement, with only a single glance she knew you would protect her secret as long as necessary.
The announcement of the killing game and the mock trial felt like a blur, you helped investigate, mostly convinced by your girlfriend, but you still couldn't believe it, sure the body was just a puppet but it was the recreation of a real murder, someone was killed so brutally, it made you.....sick.
And when the killing game was officially started that sickness spread over your entire body, will someone of your classmates be killed in such a brutal way? Will you? ......will Eva?
When Wolfgang started to speak, you wanted to say something. Sure, it was nice to think that no one was going to murder each other, but you knew it was impossible. You only started to talk when everyone singled out Eva and Damon for speaking their mind. You defended them, obviously. You told them that Eva was right, and even if it was a harsh truth, it still was the truth. After being judged because of that you just hugged Eva and you two went to sleep in her dorm.
The day the infirmary was revealed, Eva's true ultimate was too. You couldn't do anything but the exact same thing you had been doing this entire time, comfort Eva and try to counter your classmates' comments directed at her. You hugged her again, and you could feel how heavy and tired she was, even if she didn't want to let you know, everything that happened was weighing heavily in her mind.
"C-can you come with me?"
"Huh?"
You opened your eyes and looked down at Eva. She was still hugging you, but her eyes were now locked on yours
"Sure"
She guided you to a point in the infirmary and pointed at something
"A......plushie advertisement?"
"Yes, I already showed it to damon"
"......d-do you want me to buy it?"
"H-huh?"
"I thought you already had a plush-"
She blushed and quickly shut you up
"N-no it's not the plushie, it's a code"
"Oh for the door?"
"Duh"
"Did you figure it out yet?"
"...........no"
For the second time in the game, she lied
"Oh, I see, it's alright if you don't, these kidnappers seem really smart"
"........yeah"
"Well, me and Diana wanted to eat together. Do you wanna join us?"
"No it's fine, I'll go take a nap"
"That's understandable after everything that happened, love you"
"Yeah"
You kissed her cheek and started to go outside but stopped and looked back
"Hey Eva?"
"Hm"
"Can I.....tell you something?"
She nodded and you started approaching her
"..........I'm scared"
"Huh?"
"I'm scared that I'll die, that you'll die and that I couldn't do anything about it.....so can you at least promise me something?"
".......o-of course, what is it?"
You put your pinky in the air
"Let's make it a pinky promise"
"......seriously?" That's so dumb"
"Come on, just do it"
She sighed and intertwined her own pinky with yours
"Let's promise each other that we'll never kill someone"
"W-what?"
"I can't do anything if someone decides to kill you, I can only hope no one does, but if you kill someone, then you'll most likely die..........and if you don't-"
"Then you'll die, with everyone else"
"Yeah, so let's promise that we'll never kill anyone, so our chances of survival increase"
The next words she said were the third best choice she did in her life because, like her confession and acceptance of your friendship, her own soul spoke unfiltered by her brain or other emotions
"..........yes, I promise"
"Great! It's a pinky promise, remember. So if you break it your pinki will fall"
She giggled
"I think that will be the last of my concerns if I kill someone"
"Hehe, Yeah I guess you're right"
You kissed Eva on the cheek and went outside, waving at her. She waved back as her smile faded, she looked at her pinky.... and went to her dorm.
She couldn't handle it anymore, the thoughts were eating up her mind, she was going to die, everyone hated her, of course she was going to be the first victim, she would die.......so she needed to do something about it.
She wiped her tears with her sleeve and put her glasses back on, went to the infirmary and found herself face to face with the door.
She imputed the first two numbers automatically almost as if her body moved itself, she was about to imput the third when she actually started thinking
What did she want to gain by going in that room? She didn't even know what was on the other side..........was she just curious?
No, she knew. She knew that whatever she was gonna find would seal her fate, that it would force her to kill someone.......force
It's funny that she used that words in her thoughts, force, like she didn't already knew who to kill and how to do it, like she didn't already know who to frame and how to act in the class trial, like she didn't already look through the infirmary to see if there were hallucinogenics.
She inputted the third number and took a moment to breathe, her hand on her chest.
When she was about to move her finger in the direction of the last panel, she noticed something.
The floor was wet.
She looked down and saw that her shirt was too, not by much, it was when she brushed her hand against her cheek that she realized where the water was coming from.
She was crying.
How did she not realize it all this time? Why was she sad? She had already decided her fate, was she scared of getting found out and dying? she had nothing to live for anyway, everyone in this damn academy hated her, she was going to die anyway and no one was going to care about it, they weren't going to investigate how she died and the person who killed her would probably be cheered as they got executed. There was no one who cared about her, just like in her entire life.......no one cared about the true her.
Her finger grazed the fourth number when she remembered something
"Let's promise that we'll never kill someone"
"I love you because you're you ok evie?"
As soon as those words entered her mind, she just fell down on her knees, her body unable to hold the weight of her conscience anymore. She started crying, this time knowing exactly why.
She was going to betray you. She was willing to let you die just because of something that wasn't even true. You cared about her, the real her, you would have cried if she died, and you would have felt betrayed if she killed someone. You loved her, and she betrayed that love by even thinking about committing the murder. She didn't deserve you, she needed to say sorry to your face.
When she finished crying, she immediately went to your dorm, the knocking woke you up, and you were confused to see that Eva was no longer in bed with you. You were worried, considering that you decided to bunk together, so you carefully opened part of the door and saw it was your girlfriend, you saw that her eyes were red so your worry grew even more, you completely opened the door and Eva immediately tackled you in a hug.
"E-eva, what's-"
"I'm *sobs* so sorry, I'm so so sorry"
You could see she started crying crying, so you held her close and started comforting her, not caring about the tears getting on your shirt.
When she calmed down, she sat on the bed and started explaining everything to you, about how everything was getting to her and drove her to think about killing someone. She expected you to hate her. She was one step away from betraying you and throwing away her life, you were very justified to hate her, to break up with her, as much as she didn't want that to happen.....because then she would have been truly alone.
But you hugged her instead, and told her that it was OK, that the fact that she didn't go through was what mattered, that you would always be there for her, no matter what happened
"N-no you- you don't understand!"
She continued sobbing between words
"I-I was about to kill someone, to break our promise! I was ready to throw away your life because of this game!"
"......................"
"W-why did you forgive me so fast!? Why don't you hate me!?"
"........I could never hate you"
"H-huh?"
"I love you Eva I love you so much, I already told you so many times, I know that in a normal situation you'd never do something like this, I don't hate you, I hate tozu and this game, because I've seen the real you, and the real Eva is a girl that would never commit a murder, I feel in love with you and I could never hate you. I love you Eva, please remember that"
Eva wanted to say something more, but she just felt so tired. She had cried and felt too many emotions for a day, so she just thanked you and held onto your body as you two drifted to sleep.
The next day, she woke up feeling better. The night spent thinking about the situation and waking up next to you made her realize how lucky she was to have you and that she should hold on to you and love you just as much as you did.
After talking it over and getting ready, you two went to the dining room where Cassidy told you she had found a copy of super slam sisters and asked you to participate in a tournament.
"Oh, you love that game, eva . Do you wanna participate together?"
"I.........."
She looked at you smiling so brightly at her........and smiled back
"Yeah, I think having fun is what I need"
"Great! So we have all the couples, get ready cause it will be a blast!"
When the game tournament started, you held Eva's hand as you two watched the other students play.
"OK now it's Eva's and y/n's turn"
"Get ready evie, because this time I'll win!"
She rolled her eyes as she took the controller
"You always say that"
She ended up winning very easily but offered you a kiss as a consolation prince
"Wow that was insane Eva, how did you do that?"
"Oh, it's not that hard. You just have to watch your opponent and move accordingly"
"You gotta teach me that, you might even be able to beat me! Let's train together sometimes, Please?"
"H-huh?"
"And then we could do your make-up, I wanted to hang out with you......i-if you'd like"
"I.....don't think I'd look good with make-up"
She felt you putting your arm on her shoulder
"I think you'd look amazing in any way"
You smiled again and she felt her heart getting warm, not just at you but at the situation in general, she felt seen and understood, and it was all thanks to you, she's so glad she remembered you yesterday.
She looked back at her pinky and then at you, suddenly you felt Eva's arms wrap around you to the surprise of everyone in the room. She simply murmured two words
"Thank you"
You knew exactly why she thanked you, so you just hugged her back until she pulled away and looked at you again.
You cared about her, the real her, you loved her despite everything and she could never imagine a world without you, she could never imagine what she would have done if you weren't there, if you didn't enter her life.
She was so, so glad to have you.

Hello :) Can you tell us (poor guys without VIP's account) about 11 episode with Jason?
sure! I'll just try to tell the Jason specific moments. Let me know if this is ok.
so you start by meeting him with the colleague of your choice at the Cozy Bear Cafe before the meeting with the art agents. If you select the right answer, you end up daring each other and the loser has to pay the winner dinner at a restaurant of their choice.
Long story short, I think that no matter what you do Golddreamz ends up winning the deal because they used other artists from Yael's portfolio instead of just Aster/Violette. The exhibition is themed like a labyrinth and Jason admits it's a reference to the moment you had with him at the fair, despite saying it sarcastically.
Jason sees you at the exhibition and asks you to follow him. Turns out he doesn't want to be mean and won't make you pay a very expensive restaurant. He changes the dare to instead paying for fine groceries and cooking at his place. He offers to cook himself.
He gets you in his car (opening the door for you) and you are lost in your thoughts so he ends up fastening your seatbelt. It's mentioned that his car is a sports car with a leather interior, and his perfume gets stronger when you are inside.
You go to a fancy grocery store and turns out he wants to cook "calamars a' l'armoricaine" (a mediterranean style dish with calamari in a tomato sauce). He chooses the ingredients making sure you notice he picks the good stuff. Once again he surprises you by not letting you pay the hefty bill, saying that he knows when to have fun and mock you and when to stop.
You get to his place, a loft on the eighth floor of a fancy building (maybe the same complex you visit with Amanda in ep 7??), and as he starts cooking you look around the flat. Sucrette is dumb and can't tell the difference between a unicorn and Pegasus and Jason and her get in a silly fight about it. He is very stern about not having a unicorn in his living room and his knowledge of mythology.
Jason opens the bottle of wine, and you look at the view. He says it's beautiful as he looks at you and points at the view he has of Goldreamz (the illu). Sucrette realises he knew what he was doing all along and this was a moment for them to get close again. She wants to kiss him but then he mentions Devenmentiel and she snaps back to reality.
Sucrette asks what's going and why they are together in his flat all of a sudden. Jason says he doesn't understand what she means, that they are not rivals, Sucrette just works for his rival. He says "things can change if we want them to change" and mentions again that they should "unite their talents" and collaborate. Sucrette says she doesn't understand if he is simply talking about work or more. Jason won't man up and confess so Sucrette runs away from his flat because she is scared of how messy things could get if they went further. But right before the episode ends, she wonders if it might be worth it anyway.

I have decided to contribute to the theories on what possibly canonically happened between Vox and Alastor that led to their relationship ending. For the sake of this theory creation, I will be taking everything said by the characters at face value. The things that I will be taking into consideration for this theory are the following: what was said in the interactions that we have seen between them so far; the creator describing what happened between them as sad and complicated; Alastor being under a contract and; Alastor being one of the main characters.
The first thing to consider will be that based on the creator saying that it is sad and complicated, they would have both been friends and the reason for their break up would not be a single person's fault. There would likely be issues outside and within the relationship that would lead to it ending. On the other hand, Alastor being a main character also means that the narrative will likely favour him in the reason for their break up. If you take all of that with the knowledge that Alastor doesn't own his soul, there is a chance that his owner was involved in why their relationship ended up falling apart.
We also have to consider Vox and Alastor's statements about each other. On Vox's side, he accuses Alastor of being in the past and of being a coward. Alastor, on the other hand, accuses Vox of being a fake whose power comes from using those around him to appear powerful and a person who can't take a "No". This should also give us a clue regarding how they see what went wrong in their relationship. Vox sees Alastor as someone who brave enough to do certain things/potentially make changes and Alastor sees Vox as someone who takes advantage of those around him and throws a fit when he doesn't get his way.
Regarding what happened during their potential last fight, we only have what is said by Vox and Valentino, which is Valentino asking, "You still pissed he almost beat you that time?," and Vox replying, "Uh, fuck you." This was followed by Vox declaring that things had changed in Alastor's absence and he was going to show who was really in charge of things now. Based on this, it can be said that Vox won their last fight, but not in a way that left him confident in his ability to take on Alastor directly at the time. Therefore, his hope was that the time that had passed had finally put him ahead of Alastor.
Taking all these points together, here is my theory. Alastor and Vox were genuinely friends. I don't know if Vox had a crush on Alastor or not but the friendship between them went both ways. Alastor's support of Vox enabled him to grow quickly in hell and allowed him to be considered a force to be reckoned with. Vox over time got used to Alastor granting him things. However, Alastor's owner wasn't quite as happy with their relationship. She decided to interfere in their relationship, probably trying to poison the relationship. She might have suggested a simple test where Alastor told Vox, "No" when next he asked him for something. After all, Alastor has a tendency to let his friends get away with asking whatever they want from him based on his relationships with Mimzy and Niffty. This coincided with Vox having big plans for them to work together to go to the next level. Alastor said no and Vox took it very poorly. He couldn't understand why Alastor would completely turn him down. Vox's reaction proved some of the things that Alastor's owner had said to him leaving him disappointed and betrayed. Vox likely also did not handle what he considered a rejection well, particularly if Valentino was involved in poisoning things on Vox's side. This would have led to an escalation that would end in a fight, in which Alastor almost seriously hurts Vox but Vox manages to gain the upper hand, likely with the help of Valentino. My headcanon is that it is this fight that damages Vox and Valentino's antennas.
The radiostatic headcanon part of this is that Rosie thought that they were romantically involved but it turned out that Vox was attracted to Alastor while Alastor thought everything they were doing was about friendship. This is part of how Rosie figured out that Alastor was asexual.
#hazbin hotel#alastor#hazbin hotel vox#hazbin hotel theory#radiostatic#disclaimer: my hyperfixation is alastor so i have a deeper understanding of his character than i do of other characters#vox fans/stans are invited to add their point of view based on their understanding of vox

Azel Radwan: Chapter 7
Chapter 6
Thank you @shatcey for providing the video for this chapter!
♡———♡
I'm carried by the Living God, briskly transported to the depths of the temple.
With my body under the influence of the aphrodisiac, I can't move carelessly, and all my effort goes into not being conscious of the warmth of his touch.
(At this point, I don't care if it's for a fee or whatever. If there's a way to break free from this situation—)
Azel: Now, pray sincerely to the God.
Azel: Simply clasping your hands and praying is not enough. You must convey your sincerity to the God.
Azel: Fortunately, the God loves fine cuisine. By offering a special dish that will make him smack his lips…
Azel: The God will hear your prayer and dispel the affliction that plagues you.
Azel: See? It's easy, isn't it?
Emma: Yes, it is. I'd like to try it right away.
Emma: —Did you think I'd fall for that!? This is no different from usual!
Azel: Do you usually offer prayers? You didn't seem like the type.
Azel shrugs theatrically as he sets me down on the kitchen floor.
The compassionate smile that existed just seconds ago shatters, and the greedy, evil God descends once again.
Azel: And also, don't come near me.
Emma: I wouldn't come near you even if you asked me to.
Azel: That's good to hear. Well then, do your best with your prayers.
Azel: Oh, and I'll add the information fee from just now to your bill.
Emma: It's profiteering to charge me for just that information!
Azel: You're calling it profiteering without even trying it?
Emma: You're just using the aphrodisiac as an excuse to exploit me as usual, aren't you?
Azel: That's right, but?
(He's refreshingly honest!)
Azel: In reality, the aphrodisiac will naturally leave your system with time.
Azel: All you can do is sleep or distract yourself. Those are your two options.
Emma: Then I'll sleep.
Azel: Rejected.
Emma: Why!?
Azel: I'll get hungry, won't I? You might as well use your time effectively.
Emma: ......
Azel: And also…
Azel's gaze shifts slightly, and as if on cue, the door opens.
Appearing in the kitchen is Kamal, who, as always, possesses an eye-catching beauty.
Azel: Thank you for your hard work.
Kamal places the hemp sack she was carrying on the counter.
When our eyes meet, she gives me a bewitching smile, and despite being the same gender, I almost feel my heart skip a beat.
Emma: What's this?
Azel: A change of clothes. You don't want to stay in that outfit forever, do you?
Azel: After all, that outfit is an indecent one that women in the harem wear only to attract the king's attention.
(What? No one told me that!?)
Azel: Oh my, that reaction… You didn't know? Poor you.
Emma: I was told it was a fashionable outfit in Tanzanite…
Azel: That's not wrong. It's a fashionable outfit in the "harem" of Tanzanite.
(...Shoot, I was tricked…)
I thought it was just a revealing outfit, but I didn't find it odd because I'd seen women in the castle wearing similar clothes from time to time.
The maids' intentions are clear, and I clutch my head.
(There are traps everywhere.)
(...I'm starting to feel like I can't trust anything.)
Of course, the perfume and the harem outfit might have been prepared out of goodwill.
However, there's nothing in it for me to be happy about.
Azel: Kamal, thank you for listening to my sudden request.
Kamal conveys something to Azel with a hand gesture as Azel smiles.
Azel: I understand what you want to say, but let's talk about that later.
(Come to think of it, when did he have Kamal prepare the change of clothes?)
(Azel has been with me ever since we arrived at the temple.)
(He shouldn't have had time to talk to Kamal.)
While pondering this, I peek into the hemp sack.
The dress Kamal prepared for me is so beautiful that I can't help but gasp in admiration.
The dress, made of a fabric that looks like it's woven with stardust unique to Tanzanite, has a peculiar shape when you look closely. Even when spread out, I can't tell where to put my arms through.
Emma: Living God, may I ask a silly question…?
Azel: Ah, you don't know how to put it on?
Emma: …It seems so.
Azel: You just have to wrap it around yourself.
(If Kamal wasn't here, I would have been made fun of.)
Azel approaches, takes the dress from me, and puts it over my head with a gesture devoid of any tenderness.
Perhaps he was trying to wrap the hanging cloth around my waist, but his hand touches my body for a moment—
Emma: Ah…
(...!)
My sweet voice melts into the silent space filled with nothing but the rustling of clothes.
(I hate this…)
I'm so embarrassed I want to cry, I want to disappear, and I bite my lip so hard it almost bleeds.
But Azel ties the cloth without changing his expression and moves away.
Azel: I apologize… I'm not good at tying.
Azel: The shape is messy, but you understand how to wear it, right?
(Did he perhaps not hear my voice?)
(...Thank goodness. It's a small mercy.)
Azel: Once you've changed, don't leave this room.
Azel: Or rather, I'll lock the door so you can't leave even if you want to.
Emma: That sounds like confinement—
Azel: It's protection. By the way, I'm in the mood for freshly baked bread today. With cream.
Azel: I'm looking forward to it.
Leaving only his selfish order, Azel quickly leaves the room.
Kamal, who follows him, glances at me and leaves with a meaningful smile.
(What was that just now?)
-
The God, who had left the kitchen, walked down the hallway and stopped abruptly when he reached the entrance.
Azel: That was a blunder.
Kamal: Indeed. But her being an idiot is nothing new.
The bewitching beauty smiled and leaned against the railing as she spoke.
Kamal: How much did you see?
Azel: Everything, of course.
Azel: You can move right away, can't you?
Kamal: If I can use Izzet.
Azel: I don't mind. Finish it by today.
Kamal: What will you do with the hunted prey?
Azel: The God himself will show him a nightmare.
Azel: A special nightmare that will make him unable to wake up again, a living hell.
The incoming light enveloped the God, creating deep, dark shadows.
There was no compassion there, only disgust reflected in his star-filled eyes.
Kamal: …You're angrier than I expected.
Azel: I'm not angry, just disgusted.
Kamal: Either way, this isn't an unexpected turn of events, is it?
Azel: No. The God can perform divination that's equal to clairvoyance, seeing into the future.
Azel: However, all I can predict are "events."
Azel: I don't care what people think or how they feel as a result of those events.
Azel: Even if I can make statistical predictions, they're not always accurate.
Kamal: So, she reacted in a way you didn't expect, and you felt sympathy?
Azel: No way. It's just…
Azel: If she's a victim caught in the crossfire, she should be angry or scolding me, but she gave me the most difficult reaction to deal with.
Kamal: How unreasonable.
Azel: Unreasonable is fine. That's why I hate good people.
Azel: Even when faced with absurdity, they try to swallow it all. They should just lash out at something.
Kamal: Ah, I know. There's one troublesome child like that. She's a relative of mine—
Azel: Shut up.
Kamal: Oh, scary.
Azel: … Sigh…
Kamal: So, what are you going to do? If she returns to the castle, she might face even worse humiliation than today.
Azel: In that case, the Rhodolite guests won't stay silent.
Azel: It wouldn't be bad to deliberately cause trouble and have Tanzanite withdraw.
Kamal: Logically, yes. But what about her heart?
Kamal: An ordinary girl is given an aphrodisiac and forcibly exposed in such a way?
Kamal: And if the timing is bad, it could happen in front of everyone.
Azel: ..........
Kamal: Shall I protect her?
Azel: You don't want your true colors revealed, do you?
Kamal: How cruel to call it my true colors!
Azel: It would be traumatizing in a different way, so stop it.
Azel: Besides, I want to avoid you attracting the High Priest's attention by acting rashly.
Azel: Especially not now.
Kamal: …That's true.
Azel: I'm the only one who can protect her.
Azel: But I don't want to let her live here. It's disgusting.
Kamal: Then you have no choice but to abandon her.
Kamal: Oh, how pitiful. Dragged into this by the God's whim, she'll be left with emotional scars that will never fade…
Kamal: Her dignity as a human being will be shattered, and yet she'll still smile bravely. That type of girl…
Kamal: She doesn't want to worry others, so she keeps all her most important feelings bottled up inside…
Kamal: Well, I'm sure the God knows everything even if I don't say it.
Azel: …That's true.
Azel: Even if that happens, it has nothing to do with me.
-
(I wonder when this will go back to normal…)
I knead the dough vigorously in the bowl.
Several kinds of freshly baked bread have already been made, and the counter is bustling.
There's no need to make any more, but I couldn't let go of the only way to calm my agitated heart.
(Azel said it would subside with time, but my body is still hot.)
My escaping breath is strangely seductive, and the shame almost brings tears to my eyes again.
Whether it's because of the aphrodisiac or my worn-out spirit, I still can't shake the feeling of my wet cheeks.
(Will I be drugged again when I return to the castle?)
(...It was a good thing only Azel saw me today, but if…)
(If I suddenly end up like this in front of a lot of people, I might not be able to recover.)
Just as I slam the dough against the bowl once more, the lock clicks open.
Azel: Thank you for your hard work. You're quite the baker.
Emma: …I had a lot of time.
Azel: You were able to spend it meaningfully, right? You should thank me.
Emma: …
Azel: Oh my…
(Did he see the tear stains…?)
I hurriedly lower my eyes and focus on the dough.
I knead the dough over and over again, even though it doesn't need to be kneaded anymore—
Emma: I think it's better if you don't come near me until the aphrodisiac wears off.
Azel: I wouldn't come near you even if you didn't tell me not to, but we need to leave soon or it will be night.
(It's already that late?)
(...I have to go back. I don't have the courage to walk through the desert at night.)
Emma: I'll bake the rest of the dough when I come back.
I cover the bowl with a cloth to let the dough rest and place it in a cool, dark place.
Carefully, with slow movements, so as not to aggravate the itchy heat in my stomach.
Emma: Can I return to the castle wearing this dress?
Azel: Do as you like.
Emma: Thank you.
Azel: But it'll cost you.
Emma: …I thought you'd say that.
Azel: There's nothing scarier than free goodwill.
Emma: That's a nice way to put it.
I quickly finish cleaning up and try to head for the exit.
But the God blocks my way, and I can't go any further.
Emma: The confinement is over, isn't it?
Azel: …
Emma: I made your meal for today.
Azel: …
Emma: I should be able to go home now.
Azel: You have something you want to say, don't you?
He hits the mark, and my shoulders shake.
Azel, with his arms crossed and leaning against the wall, gives me a quiet look as if he's trying to gauge my mood.
Azel: Speak.
Emma: …
Azel: I encouraged you to pray to the God, didn't I?
Emma: If I pray… will you listen?
Azel: Who knows. At the very least, the Living God chooses who he listens to.
Azel: It depends on your attitude.
(Maybe it's because he's a God. It feels like he can see right through my heart.)
Encouraged by his mystical eyes that hold the starry sky, I somehow manage to gather my scattered words.
Emma: …From tomorrow, I would like to have at least meals with the Living God.
Emma: After what happened, I've become scared of the food at the castle…
I try to smile and appear calm.
To be honest, I'm not sure if I'm smiling properly because I'm desperately trying to suppress the heat raging inside me, but I didn't want to blame Azel excessively.
(Because… I'm not the real victim.)
Emma: Is that not allowed?
Azel: …
Emma: …Living God?
Azel: …
Emma: What's wrong—
Azel: …Damn it—!
(!?)
For some reason, Azel suddenly punches the wall and glares at me with a grim expression.
There's something so terrifying about him that it makes me freeze.
Azel: Get angry if you're angry, cry if you want to cry, just pick one! It's annoying!
Azel: Don't try to endure it with that creepy smile, it's a critical hit to my mental state.
(To… To think that Azel would be concerned about such a thing…!)
Azel: You never worry about me, do you?
Azel: I'm allowing your rude behavior, so stop making that face that clearly hides your true feelings.
Azel: You should say something like, "It's your fault, so hurry up and prepare a bed for me somewhere other than the castle," or something.
Emma: …Well, that's partly incorrect.
Azel: Then what is it?
Emma: I don't think the Living God is "in the wrong."
Emma: The ones in the wrong are those who try to impose their selfish desires using such underhanded methods.
Azel: …
Emma: Just because you're a God doesn't mean you have to accept everything with compassion.
(The more clearly I express it in words, the more I understand how I feel.)
(It's true that I'm just caught up in this mess with Azel because of the debt, but…)
(Azel isn't using me because he wants to, either.)
Emma: …It's not fair.
Emma: The Living God answers the prayers of the people, but the Living God's prayers don't reach the people.
Emma: Then I wondered who would help the Living God…
Emma: When I thought about it, I realized that I might be the only one right now, so I couldn't bring myself to blame you.
Now it's Azel's turn to be dumbfounded.
The awkward silence weighs heavily when the loquacious God becomes speechless.
Emma: But… um…
Emma: If… If I may speak my mind…
Emma: …I still don't want to go back to the castle…
(Azel said I don't have to endure it.)
(Maybe he'll change his mind and try to help me—)
Azel: That's rejected.
Emma: The flow of the conversation clearly indicated that you would listen to me!?
Azel: I didn't make any promises, please don't misunderstand.
Azel: Honestly, I don't care if you're drugged with an aphrodisiac or whatever, as long as I'm safe.
Emma: That's cruel.
Azel: Thank you for the compliment.
Azel: I want you to return to the castle as soon as possible, but…
With a disgruntled attitude, Azel reaches for the freshly baked bread.
The God takes a bite of the bread I baked with cream, as requested, and furrows his brow in a complicated manner.
Azel: Well then… For the sake of the freshly baked bread, I'll consider giving you an employment test.
Emma: Employment… test…?
Azel: I have no intention of keeping an incompetent person by my side.
Azel: But if there's a benefit to me having you live and work here, that's a different story.
(...!)
The God, showing an unprecedented compromise and willingness to meet me halfway, forms a compassionate smile that seems to radiate a halo.
Azel: What can you do for me?

A Heart Imprisoned: Vi's Time In Stillwater
**Spoilers For All Of Arcane**
Vi is all of fifteen years old, when she is kidnapped by the Sheriff of Piltover himself and thrown into the bowels of Stillwater prison. There she will spend seven years of horror, isolation, abuse, and fear. Accused of no crime, with her name not even on the record, she has no hope of escape or mercy until the naïve rookie Enforcer who will change her life comes to her cell.
What I want to try and delve into today, is the impact these seven years have on Vi as a person. Vi continues to be one of the most grossly misunderstood characters in this show. Even now I can come up with no logical explanation as to why, but that's okay. I don't think logic plays a big part in the anti-Vi crowd's day-to-day anyway. But! Still we soldier on, and hopefully by the end of this I can illuminate a tragic part of this remarkable character's story in a worthwhile way, and lend even more to the cause of helping see the humanity in her story.
Lead Up:
I have covered the events of Vi's childhood in heavy detail in other documents. So here, I will just run down a quick list for understanding.
Sees death of birth parents on bridge of progress: Age 9
Spends 6 years as part of family with Powder, Vander, Mylo and Claggor: Age 9 - Age 15
Vander, Mylo and Claggor all die violently in front of her. She barely survives brawl with more than ten armed thugs working for Silco, she is wounded during incident, she is separated from Powder in traumatic manner that leaves her ravaged by guilt.
Imprisoned for seven years until Caitlyn Kiramman frees her: Age 15 - Age 22.
To say Vi's life even before Stillwater has been harsh is a mild understatement to say the least. She begins her story in tragedy. And even though Vander and her siblings love her, the undercity is a hard and dangerous place to grow up. She is not saying things like "wanna see how that ends" to a knife wielding attacker at fifteen years of age because her life has been easy.
We also need to review a few telling things about Vi before her imprisonment to better understand the teenage girl who is sent to Stillwater.
"When people look up to you, you don't get to be selfish.. whatever happens, its on you"- This lesson of Vander's will come to haunt Vi's life for years. He gives her this speech entirely from a place of love and support, talking to her about being aware of the consequences of her decisions as the other kids look up to her. But when things go so..so wrong. Vi internalizes this to the point that she is unable to move on from the guilt of what occurred.
"I grew up knowing I'm less than them, that my place is down there. I want Powder to have more than that, and I'm willing to fight for it."- Take note of what she says. She doesn't protest that she isn't less than.. only that she wants Powder to have more. Vi tells us so early that she doesn't see more for herself. Only more for those that she loves, and that she is willing to bleed for it. And she will... over and over..
"I know you wanna hurt the topsiders for what they've done to us. But who are you willing to lose?"- Again, another of Vander's lessons that Vi tries to take to heart. it leads her to try and make the right decision to protect those she loves, and through no fault of her own ends with Vander taken, and Benzo and Grayson dead. She tried to stop fighting. Tried to lead with her heart and the world crushed her as a reward.
"You've got a good heart. Don't ever lose it. No matter how the world tries to break you"- See above.
"Take Care of Powder"- Again, this one is tough. Vander's last words to Vi are not of comfort to her, but instructing her. I am NOT bagging on Vander. Had things not gotten even worse Vi would have been the leader of their family now and Vander knew she could do it and was trying to help her be strong. Unfortunately, because things go so terribly, all it is is another source of guilt driving Vi into the dark.
Losing Powder:
Tragically, Powder in an attempt to save her families life detonates a monkey bomb that kills Mylo and Claggor, and initiates the series of events leading to Vander's death as well. All when they were so close to escape. Powder is a little girl. this is NOT her fault. And she is shocked when she comes around the corner to meet Vi's rage instead of praise...
But as I have stated. Vi was only fifteen and having been through all that she had, lashes out at her little sister. Hitting her, calling her a jinx, and aggressively grabbing her face before walking away in horror at her actions, stolen by Marcus before she can make it right.
Conclusion: So what does that all mean in a nutshell? A fifteen year old girl who has already lived a life of loss, and violence, has her entire family taken away her violently in one night, save for the little sister she feels she has betrayed. She is then thrown in a terrible, hellish prison, with the only thing to focus on being the loss of her family, Vander's lessons, and how she believes she failed him, her brothers, and most importantly, her sister.
"I spent so many nights, in that shitty prison. On the freezing floor, hungry, bloody, counting the hours. The only thing.. the only thing that kept me going was the thought of getting back to you."
In Stillwater:
Thankfully for all of us who don't hate this character for breathing, we see none of what happens to her while she is in here outright. But there are a few things we know:
She is routinely assaulted- When she and Caitlyn are speaking she says to just send in whoever is going to hurt her so she can get on with her night. The warden confirms this with absolutely zero shame. And when Caitlyn opens Vi's cell, Vi is rolling her shoulders out like she is getting ready to fight.
There is no record of her or her crimes - Marcus locked her up with no trial, no paper trail, no nothing. She would have been kept there forever. Routinely beaten and totally stripped of her identity. Gee, I wonder why she tattooed her name on her face. They tried to erase her from existence.
She isn't in solitary all the time, as she had access to the tattooed goon she keeps wrecking throughout the show- I'd say this is probably the only reason she is at least slightly functional and still able to socialize in the real world to some degree.
A Layman's Understanding Of The Impact On Her:
First and foremost lets dispense with the obvious. I am not a mental health professional of any kind. But as an adult with a basic understanding of people I feel confidant saying that seven years in a violent prison being victimized and assaulted are what leads to the guarded young woman who has turned her body into a weapon that Caitlyn Kiramman meets that day. Cut off from any kindness, or love, or understanding Vi has hardened herself to the outside world because the last time she tried to do otherwise, her entire life was taken from her. And I am not going for the pity points or for dramatics. But she was fifteen... I'm going to guess something akin to her crying for someone to help her, or for her sister and than being viciously beaten is not outside of the realm of possibility. Her entire life has taught her over and over that the only thing she has to offer is her ability to do violence. An article from the University Of Santa Cruz a few years ago gives us more trustworthy information than my blathering:
"many prisoners "believe that unless an inmate can convincingly project an image that conveys the potential for violence, he is likely to be dominated and exploited throughout the duration of his sentence."
"prisoners may come to think of themselves as "the kind of person" who deserves only the degradation and stigma to which they have been subjected while incarcerated."
"For some prisoners, incarceration is so stark and psychologically painful that it represents a form of traumatic stress severe enough to produce post-traumatic stress reactions once released."
The need to keep up walls and hide their vulnerability, the hidden inner belief they are not worth any better, and deep seated trauma even manifesting as PTSD. Sound familiar? Not to mention the fact that is all started for her when she was fifteen and in the wake of a terrible loss.
I have seen many people lambasting Vi over her inability to cope with change or see that her sister has changed. Let me ask you folks a question. You see your entire family die in front of you, you are almost killed, you get thrown in a horrific and violent prison for no reason holding on to the hope of your last surviving family member, and then you get out and the sweet little girl you were ripped away from is a MURDERING. MENTALLY ILL. TERRORIST (Don't yell at me Jinx fans I'm just proving a point). How well do you think your going to cope?
This is just a drop in the bucket and absolutely a layman trying to learn a-little about how something so terrible would impact someone's emotional and mental health. But it was worth exploring. Like the grouchy broken record I am I have continued to proselytize to all of you regarding the humanity at the core of Arcane being its true heart. So the misunderstanding of perhaps the most human character in the show, someone who wants so badly to love, be loved, and to stand for those she cares for, well... Suffice it to say, I will keep playing this song for as long as I need to.
As always thank you for reading! Keep standing up for stories that matter. See ya next time.

General Thoughts on Buried Secrets (Hello Neighbor)
Not sure if I'd classify this as a rant post or not. Spoilers ahead, obviously.
If some of my points don't make sense, we can discuss it in the comments. It's 1AM by the time I'm writing this post, so forgive me if the text feels all slammered and not cohesive.
Took me a decade to finish it, but the secrets were unburied (like Jay would say).
And holy crap, I have pretty strong feelings about this book.
Okay, it's not that bad, but comparing to the previous two... it felt flat. I don't know how the explain it in more cohesive terms, but it didn't hit the same way the previous two did.
First, I like the ending. Though it ended on a pretty sad note, this is exactly what the Nicky trilogy (it feels surreal to actually type that) was leading up to.
The very prologue of Missing Pieces is a warning for Nicky to stop wandering, else he'd not make home some day. Nicky's character in general is centered around that: wandering.
"Oh, but what happened after he got kidnapped? What about Nicky's friends? How did he escape?"
Questions like this come from a misunderstanding. The books aren't meant to be your introduction to the lore. They're meant to be an additional piece of information, for those that were curious about the world of Hello Neighbor and wanted to know more about the past.
The true story is told in the games. Make no mistake—Hello Neighbor is a gaming franchise. The story originates from the games.
The ending of Buried Secrets is one-to-one with Act 1 for a reason. You're meant to read these books with the knowledge from the games. So that when you read the trilogy, you went: "Oh, so that's how it happened."
At least, this should be in theory. The sad reality is that games just fucking suck in storytelling and gameplay, to the point where the actual plot is shoved aside for other matters. That's why, in most cases for fans, the books act as an introduction to the story of the games, instead of how it should be in the other way around.
This is why Buried Secrets ends in this cliffhanger way. It's a prequel of the games, but it isn't meant to be an introduction. It's meant to be an additional explanation. You can blame the games' lack of quality for this.
Anyway, I liked the ending because it tied up Nicky's wandering arc in a pretty neat way.
... And that's it. That's literally the only thing that I like about this book. Everything else feels forced just to reach this specific ending.
I'm not sure if Carly was forced to make this a trilogy, but either way this definitely harmed the pacing and plot. Every character is written in a specific way that feels a little unrealistic based on the previous books.
See, Nicky is supposed to break into Peterson's house alone, without the help of his friends. Their method of justifying this is by having literally everyone in town suspecting that Nicky was the one behind the weird activities. No matter how illogical that seems.
My biggest complaint is Maritza.
Like, I won't lie that she isn't reasonable at first glance. Maritza is tired of fighting. She wants to move on. She thinks Nicky is changing for worse because of his obsession with the case. This is all understandable.
The problem is, instead of trying to convince him to move on, she would rather believe he did all of this to frame Peterson specifically? Despite knowing what Theodore's capable of, she'd rather believe that her closest friend would lie to everyone just to convince them of something they were already certain (that Theodore is fucking dangerous)?
I get they tried to apologize to Nicky by the end of the book, but it's too little and too late. Yeah, Peterson framed Nicky in an ill-timing, but would Nicky's only friends believe he'd actually do all of this ALONE?
It just doesn't feel natural.
The beginning and middle part of the book is literally Nicky getting kicked around like an abused puppy and being lonely again. The latter chapters, as well as Jay and Lu, kinda hard carries the entire book. Earthpro is not as interesting as it was in Waking Nightmare. And Buried Secrets tries really hard to get you to hate Trinity and Maritza with the "we are changing clubs" thing.
Overall, I wouldn't say It's a bad book, but definitely the weakest and most surreal among the three.
#hello neighbor#hello neighbor books#buried secrets#missing pieces#waking nightmare#theodore peterson#nicky roth#maritza esposito#rant post#kinda#idk man#it's 1 am#i don't even know what I'm writing

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 117 (A Genius Idea)
Ash and Pearl arrived downstairs to find their parents. "Mommy, the lights went out and the TV, too!" he cried.
Heather nodded. "Pearl's mom checked the electrical box out back and it's totally fried."
Dylan, an electrical engineer, spoke with Heather and Anjali. "I can't keep trying to patch around the same problem. That box is done, but the city says they won't be able to get someone out to replace it until tomorrow morning."
Anjali frowned. "That doesn't help us get tonight's meal on the table."
"I have an idea, but I need some beakers and some bubble gum," Ash said. The adults looked confused. "We can make a heating system with candles and metal trays!"
"What's the bubble gum for, buddy?" wondered Conrad.
"To hold them together! Bubble gum won't burn if we use it to secure the trays on the outside, and I can make it harden faster if there's a science table here!"
The adults were all impressed by his idea, and they set to work prepping a makeshift heating station to continue cooking the food. It would take longer this way, but at least everyone would eat a hot meal tonight.
Ash worked away at a rickety old science station donated by the local middle school, while Pearl glanced around the cavernous, dark shelter. "Hurry, Ash, it's getting dark outside!"
"It's only nighttime. It's not that scary."
"My mom says nights in the Spice District can be dangerous."
Ash tried to work a little faster. "It's okay, Pearl. Our parents won't let anything happen to us. Why did you take your coat off? It's cold in here."
"I run hot! My dad says it's genetic."
Once the food was in the makeshift ovens, everyone took a break outside, purchasing coffee and pastries from the cafe to enjoy in The Soup Kitchen's eclectic courtyard.
Chatting together at a long table, Heather's mouth dropped open when she spotted a face she hadn't seen in years. "Marcus Flex! Is it really you?"
Heather's first vet tech turned at the sound of her voice, breaking into a wide smile when he recognized her. "Doc Nesbitt! No way! What are you doing in the city?"
"Volunteering here with my fiance and my son."
"Man oh man, Ash must be so big now."
"I am!" he said, speaking up across the table. "Who are you?"
"I used to work for your mother, but I've lived here since I left town."
Heather nodded. "Are you and Thomasine doing well?"
"Things with us couldn't be better. I know I was a bit non-committal and flighty back when I lived in the Bay, but Thomasine changed me. I can't imagine spending my days with anyone else but her."
Heather smiled. "That's great Marcus. Are you working? I've been worried about you since you both left town."
He nodded proudly. "I'm in marketing now and she's a mental health nurse. We lived in a real dump of a place for a while, but then one day this woman knocked on our door and offered us a bigger suite in the building for the same rent. She just wanted to trade for a smaller place, and we thought she might be out of her mind, but she showed us her ID and she's never missed paying the landlord the rest of our rent."
"No offense, but that sounds a little suspicious," said Conrad. "Paying your rent and hers to live in a crappier apartment. Only a criminal would do that."
"Rafaella keeps to herself. If she's into anything, it's never affected us."
"What did you say her name was?" Heather said.
"Rafaella Santos, according to her ID."
Heather and Conrad exchanged tense looks. "What's the address of your old apartment?"
"910 Medina Studios. Back in the Arts Quarter. Thomasine works in the Spice District on weekends and I like to stop by to give her an afternoon coffee. I'm usually there by now, but she'll totally understand when I tell her I ran into you, Doc! I really am sorry I just took off all those years ago."
Heather shook her head, trying to keep her sudden mix of emotions from showing in front of Ash and Pearl. That was Conrad's old apartment, and this Rafaella Santos was probably using an assumed name. She noticed Conrad down the table - the same wild thoughts were running through his mind.
"It's alright, Marcus. It sounds like everything worked out for the best. And if you can let me know how to get the money to you, I can finally send your share of the proceeds from the VetConnect extension you helped me come up with."
"That's kind of you, Doc, especially after I left without a word. It's been great catching up with you. Thomasine's just about ready to speak to her father again - she thinks - so we might be back in Brindleton Bay for a visit sooner than later."
"It would be great to see you, Marcus."
They got up then to head back to work, but before Marcus had left with his cafe order to go, Conrad approached him. "This Rafaella Santos - can you tell me what she looks like?"
"She changed her hair colour recently, but she was blonde before. You could tell it was straight from a bottle, though. You really think she's a criminal?"
"I think she might be a drug smuggler. I don't suppose I could convince you to wear a wire?"
"She doesn't say much. I've tried to be friendly."
"If it's who I think it is, she's not friendly."
"Thomasine wouldn't want me getting involved if she's dangerous. I'd love to help you and the doc, but we've been talking about maybe trying for a kid."
Conrad nodded. "I get it. You've given us enough to take it from here. There might be some officers scoping out the building over the next little while, until we know it's her, so if you're serious about taking a trip to Brindleton Bay to see your wife's family, maybe now's a good time. Just stay out of 'Rafaella's' way. Don't let her think someone might be on to her, and don't tell her you saw us. Oh, and, be prepared to take over the full rent in the larger apartment soon. If we get her, those contracts will void."
"I'll talk to Thomasine, but I'm glad I could help. Thanks for the heads up, Lieutenant Gordon."
As Marcus turned to leave, Conrad's heart started racing. If his instincts were correct, Ximena had been hiding out in the last place he'd lived in San Myshuno all along.
Now Conrad felt just days away from finally catching her. ->

NOTE: Pay no mind to Ash's reindeer hat in the "genius idea" pop up. I sent them on the rabbit hole family volunteering event immediately after staging their Christmas Day photos. Didn't even think about changing their clothes since it was a rabbit hole. But then this pop up ended up dictating storyline so that's why he's wearing it in the inset but not at the lot.
Also the goal was empathy, but with Ash's genius trait and the pop up we got, he had the choice to solve the problem himself or call for help. Since his phone's been confiscated due to creepy pranks, there was really only one choice. His empathy bar didn't budge but his responsibility and mental increased. So his empathy is in low green territory at the moment (better than red!) and I'm hopeful he won't roll a douche trait. Since he's still got a ways to go until teenhood, I've got more time to play around!
NOTE 2: Second-save Marcus and Heather instantly became the best of friends while they reconnected, which is clearly because they're finally certain Ximena's within reach, all thanks to him!
