Winions/ lotus eaters could be little hand puppets (think Cluebert or maybe even Roach) played by crew

Okay so I’m gonna ramble about my headcanon whatever about these two cause they make me so unwell:

I headcanon that Charolette is Ruth’s mom, and she’s a great mother to her no matter what and they have a genuinely very healthy and nice relationship with each other (because I need something nice in my life like this)

More stuff under cut:

- Charolette’s maiden name is Fleming, so that’s why Ruth’s last name is Fleming… I imagine that Charolette divorced Sam after finding out he cheated, so she switches back to her maiden name and Ruth does too

- Charolette is very supportive of everything Ruth does, like being part of theater and such. She’s always there for her!!!

- Charolette made Ruth’s sweater and a lot of other tops she would wear. I think Charolette would love to sew and knit and crochet and such

- Ruth sings “Just For Once” vaguely based off of her belief that she’ll follow a similar path to her mom, so she’s singing about what she knows and believes for herself.

- Charolette calls Ruth her little star a lot of the time.

- the divorce happens probably when Ruth is just starting highschool, around that time-ish? Ruth struggles with her mental health but her mom is always making her food to help her cheer up.

I hope this isn’t too stupid of a headcanon to have

How will I tell him that I tried to search under the rubble for the remains of his toys that he dreams of returning home to play with... Bahaa is 5 years old How will he understand all this.. He loves playing, writing and drawing Now he has no home, no playroom, no writing, no drawing, no education... I want to register Bahaa in a kindergarten so that he can write, draw and play again... peter was an undertale kid, richie was a fnaf kid, and ruth was an earthbound kid. end of discussion

forever thinking about the tgwdlm digital ticket and how, after the “alice is already dead” speech, you can see ted in the background for the whole rest of the scene. and oh boy does joey ever pack that shit FULL of tiny little acting choices that make me go cuckoo bananas.

the first part that i love is when paul says “i’m gonna go with you to get your daughter back.” ted was walking away, but then he freezes, and clenches his fists at his sides. he stares at paul in disbelief for a moment, then he grabs the bottle of booze off the seat with obvious anger and sits back down.

he’s sitting, clutching the bottle, and staring down at charlotte’s body at his feet, looking miserable and angry.

but when paul says “there comes a time in every man’s life when he has to draw a line in the sand,” joey does this beautiful, tiny movement where just his eyes snap up from charlotte’s body. he’s not immediately looking at paul, but it’s crystal clear that he snapped to attention at that statement. then he stares at paul in such grim silence.

for me this all really resonates with all that we now know about ted… i think there have been many times in ted’s life when, from his perspective, things probably would’ve been a lot better if he had drawn a line in the sand. if he had stepped up. if he had been braver. if he had told jenny how he felt. if he had had a serious, open talk with charlotte. if he had the guts in this moment right now to go with paul and bill in the vain hope that his baby brother might still be alive in that school with alice.

but ted is so far gone at this point, so resigned, so far down that bottle of booze that he can’t bring himself to do anything. so he just watches paul go. and now the man he considers his best friend is strutting off to his death too, and ted knows he’s not going to stop him. he’s always been a coward, so why stop now?

i’m just fascinated by this whole sequence and i am obsessed with joey’s choices and how well the whole thing flows in harmony with information from years later. ted is such a mess and i love him so so much. he has so many subtleties to him if you’re looking for them.

6-year-old Joan Al-Habil is has been repeatedly hospitalized due to severe gastrointestinal problems and overwhelming fatigue. This poor girl has been to multiple facilities and seen multiple doctors, undergone extensive testing (as extensive as is possible in Gaza's collapsed medical system), even having to endure an unsedated endoscopy.

She has now been diagnosed with severe gastritis due to starvation and hazardous living conditions. Remember, she and her family are living on the streets, which are cold and wet due to winter rain. Homelessness, stress, exposure to the elements, her previous injury when the lOF firebombed her tent, and malnutrition all conspire to sap little Joan of her strength.

Her condition is so serious that she even had to undergo surgery. Gastritis very rarely requires surgery to treat, so this is an indication of how dire her condition is. The surgery was successful to a degree, but she is going to need ongoing treatment to manage her symptoms.

The treatments are administered weekly and cost $500 USD (just under €500 EUR). Her family has no income and cannot afford this. If Joan goes more than a few days without treatment, her symptoms worsen rapidly, and she sometimes has to be hospitalized. It is vital that we help her family procure her treatments so that her condition does not worsen!
