when all the quantumania promos were out, i was pointing at the TV like 'i know that dude!! i talk to him on the internet every day!!' you have absolutely nailed his energy, vibe, speech patterns, humor, you name it.

from his playful, comedic replies to asks to the intense heart-to-hearts he has, you've done such an exceptional job of rounding out his character and giving us a degree of depth and nuance that the mcu just doesn't have space for. scott lang's memoir is this blog, imo.

you're exceptional at knowing scott's strengths, insecurities, and limitations and how these would all impact his life and relationships. and from a meta perspective, it's always a joy to write with you because while we all LOVE scott lang in this house, it doesn't feel like you write him in a way that's to put him on a pedestal or just to push his agenda. he's so grounded and real, which is yet another expression of your inherent scott-isms.

i always love to see how YOU come through in your scott portrayal and how scott comes through in you with our own interactions, too. you both have the best traits of each other, and it's my greatest honor and pleasure to call you both friend and get to share creative space with you. you were one of the first RP blogs i interacted with personally and ic, and i am eternally proud of that fact.

i’m gonna cry it’s raining right now and i just passed by a family where both parents were without an umbrella but their kid who couldn’t have been older than like 3-4 was proudly holding this GIANT umbrella whose diameter was as tall (if not taller) as the kid. both the parents were getting absolutely drenched but u could tell the kid was just so happy to have an “adult” task and carry the umbrella themselves and i think that sacrifice is what love is all about

Back in 2017 I signed up for one of the Cards Against Humanity sillies and did their Cards Against Humanity Saves America. Basically they were like fuck Tr*mp and his border wall and used the funds from the campaign to buy land and to make all 150,000 contributors part owners of said land across the US/Mexico border.

It was fun and silly and I got a little certificate.

Today I got an email that Elon Musk illegally annexed that land for SpaceX and that CAH are suing him over it. So possibly I’ll get like $100 if they manage to win a lawsuit and stick it to Musk. It’s like even more bang for my original buck.

VERY IMPORTANT a dam in the Netherlands, the weerdsluis lock, is directly on a migratory path for spawning fish. They have a worker stationed there to open the door for the fish, but they can take a while to open it. So to keep the fish from getting preyed on by birds they installed a doorbell. Only, the fish don't have hands to ring the doorbell. If you go to their website, they have a LIVE CAMERA AND A DOORBELL that YOU RING FOR THE FISH when they're waiting, and then the dam worker opens the door for them! I can't express how obsessed I am with this. look at this shit. oh my god.

Please check on the fish doorbell once in a while :)

I could think of no better way to share the news than this!

So when I was 17, my cat went missing and I'd given up hope of ever seeing him again.

Until on Monday, 27th of May, 2024, my friend sent me a FB post asking 'isn't that your mother?' about the person named on the microchip.

Here he is! 16 years old, and found safe, twelve whole years after he went missing!

Yesterday (Tuesday the 28th of May, 2024) I went to the rescue that had him, and I reclaimed my boy, renaming him Artie! (He'd originally been called 'Cat' because my mother and I couldn't decide on a name)

He's home safe with me now, currently inhabiting my bathroom and purring up a storm every time someone goes in there!

I'll be doing slow introductions between him and my current cat to give them the best possible chance of living in harmony!
