i have been procrastinating making one of these for a while now so here you go.

I don't know how people can post their names on here, or their ages. Like what :0 I could not do that. (So if you need to refer to me, you can do so by my username) I do feel comfortable telling you this stuff:

The labels I use to identify my gender identity are genderfluid, nonbinary, transgender, genderflux, xenogender, fluidflux, and specifically genderspirit. At least that's the basics.

When it comes to sexuality/romantic attraction I consider myself frayromantic and neptunic, I am also aceflux.

Genderfluid/flux/fluix equivalents for male/female, man/woman, and boy/girl!

You know how there's the term "enby", to usually refer to a non-binary child or teen, sometimes to an adult as well? Well, @ryanyflags compiled a list of terms similar to enby for many gender identities, as well as adult gender terms that are meant to be equivalents of woman/man (such as enban), and sex terms equivalent to female/male.

I personally felt the need for a genderfluid equivalent to all of these. For those times where I wanna call myself something like enban or enby, but underline the fluid nature of my gender. For those days where I can't, or don't want to, specify what specific gender I'm feeling in that moment, beyond it being fluid.

So I present to you:

Fluy (singular) - Fluys (plural)*.

Genderfluid equivalent of girl/boy/enby. Young genderfluid person.

(*alternative spelling: Fluie - Fluies. Let me know which one you prefer!)

Fluidan (singular) - Fluiden (plural).

"how do you identify" it completely depends on who you are tbh. if you're normal i'm a genderqueer lesbian. if you're just some queerphobic asshole then I'm a nonbinary queer person. but if you're a queer gatekeeper i'm a mspec lesbian fluidflux transfemmasc queer aroace transby autigender genderqueer who uses ey/la/star/pop/jar/xe pronouns. i give grace to people who are genuinely trying to learn and accept. i will even give queerphobes the benefit of the doubt because they're either severely mislead or beyond help from my end. however, i will purposely piss off queer gatekeepers. you know what it's like to be discriminated for who you are and yet you continue that cycle of abuse, harming your entire community and ultimately yourself for the validation of the cishetallo world? fuck you.

Is agender + genderfluid a thing? Like I call myself nonbinary and genderqueer as broader terms, but also genderfluid. I'd say I'm masc, fem, androgynous, neutral / aporine, and agender / genderless, and where I fall on that specific five-point area tends to move around. Maybe fluidflux?

I say masculine and feminine because I consider them separate from "Male / Man" and "Female / Woman," they're just facets of myself that don't really connect to any binary gender. Below this text is an example of what, from what I've seen, the fluidflux flag looks like:

I have a question, I'm a fluidflux person, but most of the time my gender is neither feminine nor masculine, so I assumed it must be neutral or non-existent. But there are situations where I didn't feel comfortable with neutral and I knew my gender existed and was strong, but I don't know what it was and that makes me uncomfortable. Which gender identity is neither feminine, masculine, neutral, or genderless can fluidflux people identify with? Would this be within abinarity?

abinary is an umbrella term that also includes genderlessness and neutral genders, but it absolutely encompasses what you've described too!

a common gender that is not masculine, feminine, neutral or genderless is maverique, which also explicitly includes an inner conviction about one's gender. similar terms include ilyagender or aliagender (these were all coined around the same time, hence the definitions are similar).

the outherine umbrella may also be of interest, which includes genders that aren't masculine, feminine, androgynous or neutral while not being xenine, or it can also mean uncommon/new combinations of those, like feminine + neutral.

if you find your gender to be related to things that humans don't usually relate to gender, things like objects or concepts, you might find the xenogender umbrella useful.

Also, bigenderflux (or multigenderflux) might be what you're looking for -> multiple genders that fluctuate in intensity, can be one gets stronger and the other(s) gets weaker, or they both (all) get weaker/stronger, etc., could also be fluidflux.

i think my gender is a few sliders of multiple genders that start and stop at different percentages

like the masc slider goes from 5% to 100%, but the fem slider only goes from 0% to 50%, and the nb slider goes from 0% to 75% and sometimes im feeling 100% total gender, sometimes it's only 37% total gender, and sometimes i'm experiencing 112% gender if that makes sense

i did a lil bit of research and that sounds like fluidflux maybe? all i know is that i figured out a way to explain it and the amount of relief i felt upon doing so was palpable

I've been questioning my gender for over half a year, but only questioning it in phases where, at one point, I would be like "oh, yeah, there's NO way I could be anything other than a cis girl," and a few weeks later I'd go down the questioning spiral of "but do I actually *feel* like a woman? Hmm,"

I never notice a very obvious shift in my gender, and don't have any dysphoria aside from feeling like somethings just slighly... off, when I'm in the "am I cis" part of the phase. I experimented a little bit with dressing like a guy during that and was actually surprised at how euphoric it felt, but at the same time, I love being a woman and I feel it fits me well, at least two thirds of the time. The woman feeling is never really gone, it just, I guess, fades a little every so often while agender and maybe demiboy show up (at least, that's the best way I can describe it)

So, in short, I like my agab but sometimes feel like a boy, and I don't know if the feeling is strong enough to justify me not just saying I'm cis.

Alrighty, so first off, disclaimer: if you feel like you’re not completely and exclusively your AGAB 100% of the time, you are entirely justified in saying you’re not totally cisgender. If you feel comfortable ID-ing as cis then that’s great! But if you don’t feel like that fits entirely you are absolutely allowed to ID as non-cis. Also, you don’t have to use any label if you don’t feel like any fit!

All that aside, here are some different labels that came to mind while reading through this:

Umbrella Term: Genderqueer (essentially any sort of gender experience that is not the “standard”)

More Specific Terms:

Genderfluid (gender changes over time)

Fluidflux (gender fluctuates and changes over time)

Demifluid (part of your gender is static/doesn’t change and another part of your gender does change/is fluid)

Demiflux (part of your gender is static/doesn’t change change and another part of your gender fluctuates)

Demifluix aka demifluidflux (part of your gender is static/doesn’t change and another of part of your gender changes/is fluid and fluctuates)

Bigender (Identifying as 2 genders, either at the same time or varying between the two)

Bigenderflux (Identifying as 2 genders that both fluctuate in intensity; there is a better explanation with examples if you go to the link!)

^^There is also trigenderflux aka triflux which is essentially the same but with 3 genders instead of 2.

Those were the main ones that I thought of, and all the labels have links to a wiki that describes them in more detail! I’d recommend looking through the links, especially if any of them stick out to you /nf. If anyone knows any other labels, feel free to add on!

I wish you luck on your journey with your gender, wherever it might take you! Keep in mind that it’s perfectly fine to change labels over time, be unlabeled, use multiple labels, or be unsure. You should always go with whatever feels right to you!

I’ll clean this up later.

I'm over 18 years old, I don't feel like any of you need to know my exact age. I am very much not straight and mostly use She/They pronouns, but it is worth mentioning that I am Fluidflux and will use any pronouns. However, I will be using gender neutral pronouns unless asked otherwise.

Now, these are some but not all of the Fandoms I’m willing to write for. If there is a fandom not included on this list, you can always still request it, but if I don’t write for it, I’ll let you know. Just be polite and ask. I will also link my masterlist here, when I make one.

Hello!

I'm Bigender and the genders I identify with aren’t static. They definitely change in intensity (which is why the term Genderflux fits me pretty well) and I don't experience genders outside these two.

However since I discovered the Bigender Types, specially Bigenderboth and Bigendershift, I've been questioning if my gender is fluid between these two as well.

My real question is: do Genderfluid people stop identifying completely with a gender when they're not experiencing it in that moment? Or they just feel like "yeah, that's also me, but right now it feels wrong"?

Cause if it's the second I relate to it. I never stop completely identifying with one or both the genders I identify with, but there are moments in which I feel much more connected to one of them, to a point that the other one feels distant. And vice versa.

And also, can genderfluid people have moments in which they are clearly experiencing two genders at the same time?

If so, I'd be Fluidflux. And Bigendershift.

Also, if it isn't to ask much, do you know any sources about how to redesign a pride flag? I always see posts of people redesigning them, but I have no idea about how to make my own and how to avoid copying an existent one.

Hi! Apologies for the late response, I’ve been running out of spoons lately.

Honestly I believe it differs depending on the person, just that the gender changes in general. I used to identify as polyfluix, but since I no longer identify as a fluid gender this probably is a better question for someone who still identifies as a fluid gender.

And yes, a genderfluid person can have moments in which they are experiencing two genders at the same time. An example would be someone who is genderfluid, specifically fluid between androgyne and camisolian. When they’re androgyne they’re two clear genders, both man & woman.

Also alternate flags are not redesigns, as remaking the original would be up to the original creator. People make alternate designs, which creates two/multiple flags for the same term. A guide to making a flag I would recommend is this, but the website I used for saphtroy is this. As for not copying existing ones, I personally insert my flag after it’s done into google image search to see if anyone’s already made it and remake my flag as needed. If you were planning on making an alternate flag for a xenogender, this specific page has a lot of resources for templates, as some xenogenders have a specific symbol and/or pattern to them.

What is this blog?

This blog was made as a way for me to share my writing. I honestly wasn't planning to create this blog for a while but with Whumptober upon us and NaNoWriMo very soon. I've decided to go ahead and start this blog.

Here I will be posting snippets of my works whether from original works, random snippets, pieces of fanfics, drabbles, whatever really it shall end up here!

About the Host

My name is Archaic Dragon. I will mainly use Arc or Archaic with the rare appearance of Dragon. My pronouns are Any/Ask. I’m proudly fluidflux who for those who don’t know what that is it means that not only does my gender change it also changes in intensity. Rarely I will ever care what pronouns people use for me. So normally I’ll just say when referring to me if you aren’t sure either use they/them or reflect your own. As a lot of the time my pronouns will shift to match those I’m around.

I’ve always loved art and drawing. My hobbies have always been angled towards the creative and hands on. Sadly though being a college student in engineering leaves very little time for creativity. So I try to spend whatever free time I have outside drawing or writing.

me, about a month or a few, can't remember after coming out to myself as non binary (specifically, agender)
