Welcome To The Storm.

i have been procrastinating making one of these for a while now so here you go.

I don't know how people can post their names on here, or their ages. Like what :0 I could not do that. (So if you need to refer to me, you can do so by my username) I do feel comfortable telling you this stuff:

The labels I use to identify my gender identity are genderfluid, nonbinary, transgender, genderflux, xenogender, fluidflux, and specifically genderspirit. At least that's the basics.

When it comes to sexuality/romantic attraction I consider myself frayromantic and neptunic, I am also aceflux.

I might reblog centaurworld, smg4, the amazing digital circus, wings of fire, or good omens related posts once in a blue moon.

Although there are certain theories on why I am certain kintypes that I prefer and even act like it's set in stone, in the end idk whatever so just keep that in mind. also this isnt. theres more kintypes probably.

Circutypes

(circutypes are identitie(s?) similar to the label cladotherian or more so ambitherian, but instead of being exclusive to types of animals is a species, it extends beyond that. The creator @batsbolts-andfangs created it to describe being a bat therian, bat plushiekin and a bat (related?) fictional character. But basically it's a label to describe one nonhuman identity that extends to/ is made up of other nonhuman identities that are a interconnected. This label fits me two times

Now onto other things you should know about me and some silly not as important but also interesting ones:

I am afraid of being wrong (mainly because I'm worried I am somehow hurting people by it)

I have trust/opening up issues

I struggle with imposter syndrome

I probably have undiagnosed anxiety of some kind but have yet to do research on it

I probably have long term depression. But I think ranting to Tumblr is helping a bit so RN I'm more on the emotionally numb side but still depressed I think.

I have associative synesthesia and the types I care to name are olp, grapheme-color and chromesthesia but I know of more things that are probably types with their own names that I have.

I'm a vegetarian (it's funny because a bunch of my kintypes are carnivores or really like eating meat)

I'm a furry and have this going on where I'm turning my animal kin and heartypes into furry OCs and fursonas but I haven't gotten far in it. I'm also questioning being my protogen oc

I'm a median system. But I don't really talk about that much here...

Welcome to the tournament to determine which is the best Loona song! 🐰🐱🕊️🐸🦌🦉🐟🦇🦢🐧🦋🐺

We all know Loona has a no skips discography, but which one is truly the best? A solo song? A post-BBC release? A lauded title track? A B-side? We'll find out!

This will be a tournament which will feature every Loona song, with some notable exceptions which are detailed under the cut.

Starting 13 December, five polls will go out each day pitting Loona songs against each other. There are 55 initial polls so this will continue for eleven days. Then, once all the polls have concluded, the winning songs will go against each other in a round two. And so on until we have a winner. More info will come out about future rounds once we get closer to them.

Songs which have been excluded:

Intros -- we all know they don't stand a chance so I'm not even going to bother. I am considering doing a poll pitting all the intros against each other though, so you'll probably still get the chance to champion your favourite intro.

Covers -- all of Loona's covers are great but I wanted to keep this to exclusively their original discography. No Shake It, no DALPLY's, none of their remixes.

Other versions -- each song will only be represented once, so English versions, Japanese versions, the multiple different versions of The Carol and none of the Orbit 1.0 tracks. Again, I may do a separate poll for these, but they won't be in the main tournament.

Welcome to 2023

Version 1.0 - Ok let's go. I'm really happy to greet you on this December 31 2022 18h06, because it means this sum up has great chances to come out on time ! (Well, more or less, si je fais pas le papillon entre temps.) Yes, compared to the sum up of last year, we will switch back to English for this one. Why ? Without thinking much, I'd say that among all the events that happened to me in 2021, none of those described were private, intimate. (Well I just read it again and it seems I'm wrong but whatever). Reading it again is interesting because it could do a good starting point to this one. To be honest, I'm writting right now with a few notes but nothing really ... structured. So this is the moment when I warn every reader : this sum up is something personal that I write above all for me, so my priority is that I understand myself when I read it again. When I say that, I talk about the events/facts that I relate without getting too much into details or telling who it might concern. But I'm sure that if you recognize yourself in the events I'm talking about, it might be about you. In fact I (almost) never give names. Only nicknames based on numbers (might be odd and dehumanizing but idk ... no names seems like a natural rule to me). So, I need to be going fast so here's the plan : giving a good 2nd part of this intro, finding the illustration, and then getting into serious business with the real recap of this year 2022. A lot of stuff will be mentionned here. I'd like to remember all the movies and tv shows that I followed this year (Better call saul, for example). Here's the thing : I write to remember. I know my memory is bad so I like to write things to remember them. I like to write neutral things (stats, how much wins in Tekken, number of posts on this Tumblr etc) but I also like to write about feelings. Feelings by definition are not lasting in time. So this is the reason why I wanted to write this sum up on time and I'll try to express it in French. Je m'en serais voulu que ce post appartienne trop à 2023. En le postant (ou du moins en le commençant lol) en 2022 je sais que je capture ma pensée de 2022 et aucunement celle de 2023. Donc ca fait garder une complete ignorance de 2023.  This will be important later in this text. We don't know what 2023 will be made of. For instance, we have already seen years I praised some people believing they were good people and they were gone the next year. But that's life isn't it. But the problem I'm facing this year might be a bit different, but I'll also detail that later. So, what are we going to talk about in the following lines ? That's the great question. It will be very meta and this whole thing might be a lot of words to express someething that could surely be said simpler. So if you're going to read that entirely please don't be too disapointed at the end. Oh. that makes me think this year we will be using emojis to make it slightly less painful to read. Or at least, easier to read diagonally (I'm not sure if this will work but nevermind (nvmd) I have to try, I swear scrolling through the 2020 sum up feels like scrolling though the Bible). The fun thing is that I want to make it long but I kinda need to hurry because 2022 ends in less that 6 hours. So here's the plan : 1st i'll try to give all the subjective things : numbers of all kinds, tv shows, movies, karate data, and all I'll be able to think of. 2ndly I'll talk bout the goals of this text. Then, because art results from contraints, we'll be talking about the ones I'll impose to myself to write this. 4th might be a comparison to the previous sum up, 5th the precise recap of marking events that year followed by random thoughts (might be the the most evolutive part as this sum up will not come out in time).

Funny I didn't pick a black and white picture. And I have too much hair on this one. But I'm already missing my hair, hope it grows back quickly.

So here we are, for real. By now you must know we're January 2nd. I really wanted it to come out in time but finally I have a few things to say so I made the choice to not rush it. So I'm not going to rush it but because I want it to release asap, I'm going to make a few choices to talk about the most significant subjects I'll find. SO, here you'll find a whole paragraph talking about ; TV shows, movies, karate data (competitions) Tumblr Stats : 4155 posts and 73 drafts. 16 655 likes (oh they diminished ! Guess ppl are deleting their tumblrs). 799 followers. Usually I take time to thank all these followers but let's be honest these are only bots  I know I'm alone in this whole tumblr adventure but it's cool that way (If I wanted to make it public i'd go to instagram or tiktok or wherever the young folks are ahah).

Ok. I'm alone in this adventure and I'm writting for me. But what's the purpose of this whole thing ? The goal is to be intimate and honest. No matter how long after I read it again, I want those lines to remind me of everything in the moment present. I'll remember the rush it is to make it come out in time for instance. I don't want these feelings to be forgotten. If you know me, you know I have a fetish for dates. For example, I know dates like January 29th, June 26th, August 18th, October 19th or December 15th have proven to be lucky for me. But the thing when you remember everything is you also remember the painful memories. That's why I stopped having agendas a few years ago. It is funny to mark down everything that mattered on with the precise date but now I want to leave room for my "true" memory. Not stuff i wrote. Idk if that makes sense. If an event affects me, I want to remember it because it made me feel something strong (but not necessarily good). This is where this text is important. Arbitrarily, I have the choice to write about the things I want to remember later (as we know my memory is weak af). But I'm not gonna sugarcoat it (lol I love this expression). I said it will be honest. But I'm keeping in mind this is still public so I still have to weigh my words. Writing at the end of the year allows me to step back from the events of the year (easier to do with January than december but it's the thought that counts.)The goal of this text is also to be full (complet). If we forget the lack of time I have, by the end of November I already felt the urge to write. That might mean I had something to get off my chest, and the events of December didn't help and overflew me with emotions but I'm only taking time now to pour them out in words. I'm having a lot of thoughts. Most of them are about getting old. I don't know if I already said it but finally, I can start understanding all these Disney villains trying to be forever young and stuff. That's fascinating. I'm also thinking a lot about karate, competition, family, friendships and relationships. I'm thinking a lot about myself, how I evolved and how I can be better than I was and overall a better human. But still, I want to improve, but I still think I'm not good enough to be part of a couple. Funny uh ? This sum up is also a way for me to try new things, experiment. I still don't know in which form but I'd love to make 2021 2022 and 2023's sums up a trilogy, so it would be interesting to really compare this on to the previous and make bets on the future year of 2023.

"L'art naît des contraintes". I LOVE this concept. When I write this, it's almost always the sames. Now we'll start talking about substance and form. The most obvious here is : french is my mother tongue but I'm still writing in English. 3 main reasons for this. First : I love English language and it's a very interesting exercice to find myself writting in English at least once a year. I also think this is a language which is "less precise" than French but it permits it to draw better pictures with words. I'm still getting more comfortable with english speaking videos on youtube (thanks to Eric Rosen and GothamChess, to only name these). But it can be more annoying for my relatives who don't like english that much and I'm sorry for that. The second reason is I have the feeling that writing in another language allows me to take distance from what I write. It gives me a feeling of objectiveness (even if what I'm writing is very personal). Third reason : I want to keep away not interested readers. Idk like, curious people I might know, or  ppl who are not in my life anymore (but I'm a bit screwed if their English is good lol). 2 others contraints are : date and length. This is where it's getting complex. First, I want it to be long. Also for the unwanted curious people. But overall I want it to be a good sum up, a positive one. So if I want to talk about something good, a good year that happened to me I want it to even look big. But this year, i'll try to make it lighter to read. I'll use paragraphs. And ... that's the best I can do (thinking of it again, i'm not sure I'll be able to fill this text with emojis). I also want it to be long because all of these words are hiding something. It would be deadly personnal if I just opened my heart and write my feelings in plain sight. But the more I write, the more it gives me comfort as I know my important words will be drowned in all these lines. So I know I can express myself pretty freely. I express myself so freely that I might even say everything and its contrary here. Because some things make me feel complex things.The last contraint is that I wanted to make it before 2023 for simple reasons. The first is that I want to prove myself I'm doing ok on this end of 2022. This might look simple but not so simple seen how this end of the year has been challenging me on a whole lot of levels. But I'm doing fine and I want to prove it by releasing this text on time. Because now nothing keeps me away from functionning correctly. Which has not been the case some previous years because some troubles kept taking me forces to just survive. But thank God now it's not the case. Let's not get mistaken here. This year have been challenging. But it's not ending "that bad". So I told myself "You're doing fine so you can do your sum up on time." ... well at least, I could start on time. I overestimated myself thinking I could write this under 24/48h but it's my bad lol. Another one of my contraint : I want to keep anonymous the people I'm talking about, and for that I'll stay elusive about the events I'm talking about. If you're involved, you'll know what I talk bout reading it (if i did write correctly). I think this is a cool way to share a little bit more of intimacy and complicity. Plus if what I wrote made you smile or made you feel well you know where to read it again. :)

So : let's compare to 2021 sum up. Let's see what have changed, where I was right, wrong. The 2021 was short so this shouldn't be too difficult.

Comparaison au sum up précédent. Well, the first thing I see is : "welcome to 2022" have not been posted in time lol. 2 months late. But I was just lazy but still functioning (even though December '21 and January '22 have been tough). This is funny, the VPN hidden visitor stopped visiting. I guess one can run out of curiosity. The previous one was interesting because I could start talking about the photography to explain how the year went. But this year the photo is a bit more ... casual. I've not been present at this xmas at my cousin's house. So no tuxedo photo for me. What a rough evening. As 2021 have been marked by a real rupture, 2022 have been a lot more steady ... But still not boring. "Some years ask questions and some years answer." I think this year I've asked myself more questions than I've answered. This is crazy because when I wrote the previous one in February, war in Urkaine already started so this is what I mean when I say "Writting the sum up right on time allows to not spoil any of the 2023 events in it". Like, a war in Europe in 2022 ? This is crazy. Even my dear DB have been worried about this situation even if it's a bit far from her hometown. Last year I talked a lot about this tumblr coming to an end. I still think what I wrote but like I said, I would like to give a happy end to this blog. This can easily become a hard thing to accomplish. Here are the ends I'm thinking of. The most obvious one would be to find a lover and ending it with her. Another way would be to be successful in karate, in a precise objective I'd have given myself. I have a few in minds, some more realistic than others, but it could happen. Or the third would be to be fully accomplished, solving all the issues I have and going forward. (Or even end it because I'd be artistically  satisfied with my tumblr). The funny thing about this year is that I could almost have ended this tumblr because of the 1st reason. Among the questions I've asked myself this year, there was "are you ready to put a woman in the middle of your life?" and I guess the answer was no, as I already could answer by the end of 2022. 1st, being able to ask myself this question is already a HUGE step forward in possibly finding someone. But it's not that clear. I've been facing this question a bit in a hurry situation. And those who know me know I'm not a fan of pressures under whatever forms. I don't like time pressure. But when the timming goes wrong, what can you do ? To be honest I started asking myself questions by November. But I wasn't thinking into it that much. Even though I was already pretty involved (a lot of kms have been driven those 2 months, but I don't regret any), I still took it pretty lightly because I was confident. In fact my biggest mistake was to think "Now time works with me. We're here and we're on the same wavelength (what a funny word), all we have to do is to get to know each other better and better." ... My friends what a mistake. So this is how I learned that time never works with you. Learnt it the hard way but not that hard. To be 100% honest, I've already had nightmares of this before she confessed to me she found someone else. So I didn't fall from any piedestal, thank God. In fact, while I write I remember all the previous sum ups and I remember telling myself "You should put yourself in the center of your sum ups" but for this year I want to change a bit. I would like to put ❤️ in the middle of this sum up. I want to talk about love. Because one of the biggest question of this year was "If the woman you've been waiting for all these years would show up, would you recognize her ?" and once again the answer was not that obivous. I'm talking about the downs of the relationship we have but be sure you'll read about her perfectness, from head to toes, and her lovely brown/green eyes who look even better when they're watching me but sorry I digress. So this tumblr is closer to the end than the begining, but I guess we will all see it coming. I already mentionned the lack of time I was victim of. 2022 didn't make it better. I'm reluctant to talk about all that here but I can't deny it took a lot of place in my life. Even though I don't define myself by my "wroking value". But I guess when my work is an argument mentionned when I'm explained why I'm not worthy of a couple, we can say it's pretty invading. But it's not like I ignored it. Maybe I've been thinking backwards on this. I remember thaking God last year telling myself "I can live this lifestyle because I have nobody in my life" so I shouldn't be surprised when a woman tells me "There's no place for me in your life". I'm a bit scarred my choices already put me on a path of loneliness. Yes, this is a real fear, but I'm quietly preparing to it. Being lonely on the bad days was the worst, but we can say I adapted a bit. So, I'm getting used to this idea, and starting preparing my dad also for this idea. This December 18th was a challenging day, as much as the whole following week have been. I'm talking about the 1st medal post covid in 2021 but 2022 saw the 1st loss after ~20 years (17 or 18 years to be precise) being undefeated in Midi-Pyrénées. Also on that December 18th. Still trying to recover from that loss but I think I'll do fine. I've seen others. But the karate question have been very present this year. As a competitor and as a sensei. In 2021 I wrote down "what goes up must come down" and hell I came down in 2022. But we know that's how it goes nobody stays up forever (except for lovers who can support each others for long periods of time). I'm still inspiring some kids but I have the feeling this year I have to be here for them if I don't want to waste anything. We could end with a very strong family but now as a turning point I guess. But I still have 2~4 years to hold on at least before I could retire. I'm still into chess. I met a woman I just played chess with, it was a very curious encounter but a fun one.

Now predictions for 2023 ... the ones for 2022 were pretty accurate indeed, if we forget that I was not ready to cross the path of a woman that phenomenal.  Yes it was a quiet year because nothing serious happened. By that, I mean my father health was better than never, we went to the gym together and all so I couldn't ask for more :) Now the 1st thing that I can think of is ... Sunday, February 26th will be a date. Maybe answers will be given. Otherwise ... This will be a year of changes, hope it won't be too rough. I always hope for a peaceful year. I like those. I always say "It's better to be bored than dealing with issues". Could be my motto, I don't know. For last year, I remember wishing to stay focused on "competition and currency" ... There are events through this year I'd like to highlight. The stay at Montpellier. 1st medal post covid. 1st trip as an "adult". Still losing against the Empire ... Saint-Quentin, which became very personal. Oh, my 1st radio interview ! That was funny. We've also seen the 1st burnouts. A very lovely day at the museum. & a movie seen besides a castle, through a big big screen. I surely posted photos through the year. I'll check if I might not have forgotten some. My 1st female chir. Incredible. Who in a way could have been the best encounter of the year. But then came October 19th ... Well, this is the moment when it turns into a love story. If you read this long, congratulations you found the core of this whole text. Because these feelings are too strong. I need to write them out of me so I can go ahead. It would allow me to forget them so my head is free for more stuff coming. Because I'd know they're kept intact somewhere, here precisely. So October 19th the 1st messages led us to Halloween, October 31st. What an evening. Would it be too mellow to go through the whole thing ? I could. But I'd rather make it quick for this time. Maybe once this whole gigantic thing is written I'll write especially about this day. Because wow ... I'm not pretending to be a Casanova or something. But the fact is that I've seen a lot of dates. Some went terribly wrong. Funny memories to talk about tho. Others ... I'll forget them sooner or later. I remember them from time to time. Some went very well, with lovely people, doing lovely things. And others where you can feel the whole universe pushing yourselves together. The attraction was crazy, the whole atmosphere was ... Idk. It was cloudy and a bit oppressive but there was romance in the air. But a warm one. Things took an unexpected turn at ... "Hello" ahaha. I'm half kidding but I'm realising I might not remember her first words because I was too focused on her smile, the 1st thing I noticed. It reminded me suddenly of the quote "In order to seduce her, I should make her laugh. But everytime she laughed I'd fall back in love with her, again." And then I told myself "Well ... what a lovely smile and then I had the whole evening to stare at those beautiful brown eyes. Brown/green if you want to be precise. And then this whole body ... See, there's one thing I sure like in a woman. Simplicity. Like ... Women showing off their goods are in their total right, I respect and appreciate that. But when a woman is not showing off that much about what she has then you see it from your own eyes........ That feeling can hardly be equaled. And here was the case. She. Was. So. Damn. Fine. Slim waist, fat booty. But to be honest I was prepared if things went down, but she was so interesting that I felt it would still have been a great evening. We already talked a lot but getting to know her in real was awesome. I knew thanks to the vocals but her cute little lilting accent was lovely to hear in reality, not through a phone. We talked about a lot of things. In a lot of places. We talked in a tea saloon for ... 20mins and went out because they were too busy to serve us, so we just left. Funny we didn't even get angry. Nothing could have disturb us that night, it was like the city was ours.  This is a feeling I love to get. It's when you're wandering through a city, with someone you love. Even everything around seems more beautiful. For our 1st meal we chose Pitaya. It was cool. We went back home and I'll just talk bout "perfect timing" and "thunderstorm". Indeed I wouldn't even have words to describe this. But maybe what happened between us might stay between us. Then we have November 13th. A lucky day, even if it was a Sunday. Wednesday, November 16th in the A. Then 24 hours together back in the T. on November 26th. My little fountain. (Sorry for showing off but ... come on I'm so proud!). The evening of Friday, December 9th. At yours. It was a funny afternoon. And a lovely night. I had to wake up early this time but the travel back to Toulouse was ... easy. It's easier when you're still feeling like you're floating because you just spent the night with someone you have a "heavy crush" on. But it was more than that, but I never asked myself deeply because we said we "didn't put words in it". Which is now a bit ironic seen how much words I'm using actually to relate those feelings. So guys, I listed the dates because I love dates but also to count. So it takes 5 dates to fall in love. So 4 is the limit, don't go beyond lol. Because after all that comes ... Thursday, December 22nd. I don't know if I have much to say about this. It's the breaking point. Oh, indeed I guess I have a few things to say about our last date. I don't think I'm wrong when I say love was in the air. But then came something else. A kind of bitterness. The same taste when you mix love and sorrow. To be honest, a lot of my previous relationships in which I was very involved didn't end well. Most of times with a very brutal break up. So putting a peaceful end to something that strong ... That clearly never happened to me. I must admit it caught me a bit off guard and I didn't know how to act. I remember waking up in the night, I was having trouble sleeping so I turned on Tekken 7. This is what I do when I want to take away my attention from my problems. Or turn my negatives feelings into something. I can't remember if I was winning or losing. But after playing a long time, I froze and realized "Dude there's the woman of your dreams in your bed and you're playing here, wtf are you doing ?????" and I went back to bed to hold her as tight as I can, "as long as I can". It's a very weird feeling to have someone in front of you, someone you have lots of affection for, but telling yourself your time is running out. It was hard to enjoy all of it but I did my best.  Which was surely enough because I keep a great memory of this day. I'm very thankful for being able to live a peaceful end. But it's easier when the other person inspires you nothing but kindness. Decisions are way clearer. Even if the best decision is not always the easy one. [I'm scared of the distance it will create between us. I don't know how long, I don't know in which form but having a special place is not opposite of being distant. But I'm already missing her. If one day she misses me, I hope she knows well that feeling is mutual.] But I'm not done telling my year. Because the end of this love story is only one part of what made the end of the year tough. Because there also was a certain 1h ride back home that changed a lot of things. In fact, I like to see people with dedication, longevity. Being able to perform (at whatever level) for a long period of time forces admiration. Whether you like the guy or not, you can't deny he's here. But for the 1st time since 2005 I've lost Midi Pyrénées. What an awful day. Guess it was a day made for the bests to arrive 2nd lol. But I won't talk much about it, but I'm so curious if I'll be able to take revenge in 2023.

Pensées de fin (~random)_ In photography this year, I was inspired a lot by Better Call Saul. Then I ran through Yt to find guys putting in words  why this is such a visual mastepiece. It was so interesting. I got a new  cellphone (Google Pixel 6) so having a better camera makes me  automatically curious of testing it in a lot of situations (Rest Easy  Oneplus 5 tho). I still have my photography eye opened, trying to not  miss a shot. I'm not sure if everything that needed to be posted was  posted but nvmd. For Tekken, Which kind of progress did we see ? "The bad players beat who they can,  the good ones beat who they want." A bit far from that. But I've a  better understanding of the game. Lidia is insane to play, very very  fun. For the stats, I'm really proud to say I hit Ryujin rank this year so it makes me officially "Ryujin Njaka" haha. I have a Victory/Defeats ratio of 11 930/23 349 which makes 51,09% wins. Talking about winning, I cockily thought I've finished the game of seduction. But realized that by the very end of the year. I mean, it's kind of stupid to think like that because no one is able to seduce 100% of the people one wants. But still, I found a lot of satisfaction seeing some people I found very attractive found me very also very attractive in return (coucou Alexia).

Series Better call saul > kim et jimmy, rapport a la photo, aux plans For example I'll develop later but Better Call Saul was incredible to follow this year. Made me think about a lot of things. Well "Gotham" Incredible to know better the roots of all the Batman story. Very very cool. Visually very .. bold. Stranger things Season 4 : Awesome !!! 1st stranger thing like an horror movie ... Insane. Avatar started again in April ... The Umbrella Acadmy was interesting. Tekken Bloodline on Netflix was great.

Films Doctor Strange 2 : Insane !!!!! I watched again Lilo & Stitch. One Piece Red, supposedly the last One Piece movie. It was cool, great setting for watching the movie.

[Vendredi 30 Decembre - 11h06. Salut. Je ne sais pas où tu en es dans ta lecture mais on va reprendre de zero. Si tu as lu jusque là, félicitations déjà. Ce post doit être long long long. J'ai relu tous les posts de ce genre pour faire celui là, en lisant plus ou moins en diagonale. J'aime bien la dimension que ce post soit écrit à temps parce que ca fige l'instant et les sentiments. Enfin, pour cette fois je veux que ça le soit. C'est donc pour ca que ce post va être long, parce que je veux qu'il soit daté. Je veux voir si dans quelques années je serais gêné d'avoir écrit tout ça (auquel cas je supprimerai ce paragraphe) ou si ... Le timming  s'avère être plus indulgent envers nous. Je parle de nous parce que tu as trouvé la lettre "cachée" dans ce post extra long. Je casse le 4e mur mais je pense que ça va être fait de manière très maladroite, encore une fois pour rendre ce post le plus long possible. Comme tu sais je raisonne toujours en terme de fond et de forme. Ici, rallonger le texte dans sa forme globale devrait décourager la plupart des gens à continuer à lire. Mais je me dis que si toi tu ecrivais un texte LONG ou tu racontes ta vie je serais content de le lire donc voici le mien. En vrai j'ai aucune idée de si je vais réussir à le faire plus long ... Samedi 31 Decembre - 18h45. C'est marrant. Aujourd'hui tu m'as demandé de faire d'écrire comme si personne n'allait me lire. Mais c'est impossible. En vrai je suis trop content que tu me lises, donc comme je disais je pense que c'est normal de récompenser ses lecteurs, et dans mon cas ma lectrice. En fait, là je fais une pause dans l'écriture du résumé de cette année pour bien écrire cette lettre et être sur que j'ai un max d'attention disponible pour être sûr que tout ce que j'ai à te dire soit bien dit. Mais du coup, comme je n'ai pas encore écrit le résumé, je ne sais pas ce que j'ai pu bien dire sur toi donc s'il y a des redondances je te prie de m'excuser, j'essaie humblement de mettre en mots tout ce que je ressens et tout ce que cette année 2022 m'a inspiré. En fait, quand j'écris ce résumé, je me demande chaque année "de quoi je vais parler, qu'est ce que je vais mettre au centre de tout ça ?" et puis j'ai pensé à observer le lien entre le fond et la forme. "Est-ce que les résumés les plus longs relatent les années les plus heureuses ? ou les plus tristes?" De fil en aiguille je me suis fait une reflexion importante : je veux que ce résumé sorte à temps parce que dans ma vie tout va bien, rien ne m'empeche de fonctionner au point que ce résumé ne sorte pas à temps et aussi je veux qu'il soit long parce que je veux continuer à irradier le positif. Puis même en y réflechissant, ça doit pas être interessant un looooong paragraphe d'un mec qui fait que se plaindre. Donc je veux mettre en avant le positif de 2022 et une manière très simple de le faire c'est de te rendre honneur puisque tu es tout simplement ma meilleure rencontre de cette année 2022. Une vraie tornade, et également la rencontre que j'attendais pas non plus cette année. En fait, il faut savoir que j'aime ce genre de rencontres. Pardon, il faut que je perde l'habitude de parler au pluriel. Ca me permet de me distancier dans ma manière d'écrire, mais y'a pas de pluriel à avoir puisque je m'adresse a toi (toi, toi, toi ... c'est comme l'écho dans les chansons de Nek ahah). Donc pas de pluriel, parce que tout ça c'est entre toi et moi. J'ai aimé notre rencontre. Je le répète en boucle mais ... le tonnerre du premier soir ? Rien que ça, ça suffit à dire que c'était pas une rencontre comme les autres. C'était vraiment une soirée incroyable. Et j'essaie de mettre au maximum ce que je ressens pour toi à l'écrit pour beaucoup de raisons. La première c'est que pendant deux mois je ne l'ai pas fait, donc je veux être sur que les termes soient bien dits, et surtout pour qu'on garde une trace de tout ça, et que ça reste vif quand on le lit. Je pense que ça serait un récapitulatif réussi si quand je le relirais dans quelques années ça me rapelle les souvenirs avec toute la bonne nostalgie qui va avec. Parce que comme je te le disais au téléphone la dernière fois : tout va bien. C'est vrai qu'on a l'impression de jouer nos vies parce qu'on sent que quelque chose de puissant peut se passer, mais il faut dédramatiser, et arrêter d'être tristes comme si on allait sortir de la vie de l'autre, parce que c'est pas vrai. J'ai envie de continuer à faire partie de ta vie et c'est réciproque, on ne se déteste pas, même si je suis jaloux à en crever de S. .... non je plaisante ahah (meme si évidemment je suis un petit peu jaloux hein). Mais ici, pas de place à la jalousie. Même si mon but c'est d'être un maximum honnête, j'aimerais mettre l'accent sur les sentients qui comptent. (Je me rends compte que des sentiments tu m'en inspires deja 100.000 mais bon, Je vais essayer de commencer quelque part). Ce qui me plait dans le fait d'écrire sur mes sentiments pour toi, c'est que je peux pas m'empecher de me demander si je regretterai ces mots, si quand je les relirai dans 6 mois, 1 an, 10 ans ils auront beaucoup changé ou pas. En vrai notre relation peut encore évoluer beaucoup, donc peut etre que quand je parle "d'herbe coupée sous le pied" j'éxagère un peu, peut-être qu'il nous reste encore beaucoup d'options pour faire évoluer nos liens, en dépit du manque de chance évident. J'étais sur le point d'écrire les scenarios qui m'auraient le plus plu, mais j'aurais peur de me porter la poisse en les mettant en mots. Le temps passe et j'aimerais en arriver au coeur de la lettre. Toutes ces lignes étaient là pour cacher ça, le plus important et le plus intime. Ce que j'aimerais que tu retiennes de cette lettre, c'est que notre rencontre est exceptionnelle et j'ai un respect pour toi qui est immense. En tant que femme, en tant qu'amie, en tant qu'humaine .... Et dans ton rapport avec moi t'as toujours été bienveillante. Tu fais partie des personnes les plus vertueuses que j'ai pu rencontrer et c'est pour ça que je relativise notre "fin prématurée" parce que je suis très fier et heureux de pouvoir faire partie de ton entourage. J'aurais été encore plus heureux et fier de me tenir à tes côtés comme un amoureux mais ça c'est autre chose. Autre chose que j'aurais fait avec grande grande joie. L'une des choses qui m'a le plus touché c'est que tu me vois comme j'aimerais qu'on me voie. Et ça c'est indescriptible. Tu es d'une franchise sans épreuve aussi. C'est très agréable d'échanger avec toi parce que je sais que jamais tu maquilles ta manière de penser. T'es honnête, et aussi t'es simple. En parlant de maquiller ... je m'attarderai pas à détailler comme je te trouve incroyablissime physiquement de la tête aux pieds, sinon ce texte risque d'être vraiment long. Mais c'est exactement ce genre de détails qui font que t'as été un vrai ouragan dans ma vie. Un ouragan qui m'a fait me questionner mes priorités et mes principes. L'une des questions que je me suis posé pour comprendre pourquoi on en est là aujourd'hui c'est : "et si j'avais été prêt plus tot, il se serait passé quoi ?" et c'est une question interessante je trouve. C'est pas la réponse qui compte, mais c'est le fait de s'etre posé la question en soit. Parce que la prochaine fois que je serai face à quelqu'un qui me remuera jusqu'au fin fond de mon ame, je serai un petit peu plus préparé à cette éventualité et à tout ce qui peut en découler. Pour finir, c'est pour ça que je tenais à écrire ça en 2022. Pour que mes sentiments et mes espoirs en toi soient intacts quand je relirai ça. PS : Oh et je viens de penser. Je suis content de commencer 2023 avec toi et je serai content d'avoir plein de nouveaux souvenirs de nous à raconter dans mon prochain résumé, dans 12 mois. Bisous.

Yuan Shao (pr 6,7) is reasonably strong but many of his officers suffer from mediocrity. Sun Ce (pr 24) is another good strong choice. Cao Cao (pr 10,11) is probably the most powerful overall and thus the easiest ruler to be. Rivals Struggle for Power - 194 AD Another reasonably balanced scenario, although less so than the first. They all pretty much stink, so I guess only someone who was a real veteran would want to play as them anyway. Hain Fu (pr 7, called Han Fu in all other Romance games), Kong Rong (pr 8), Wang Lang (pr 24), and Liu Yong (pr 28) are all unplayable in this scenario, although i'm not sure why. Of these three, however, the only one who is really hard to play as is Gongsun Zan Ma Teng starts off completely isolated and unthreatened and Liu Bei isn't threatened by anyone powerful off the start and begins with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, two of the best warriors in the game. Liu Biao (pr 20), Tao Quian (pr 16), and Yuan Shu (pr 19) are on somewhat of a middle ground, while Gongsun Zan (pr 3) Liu Bei (pr 4) and Ma Teng (pr 14) are the scenario's challenges. Liu Yan (pr 33, 30, 32) is also good for a beginner because he starts out quite powerful and far away from any other major opponent. Although Dong Zhuo (pr 10, 11, 12), starts with the most overall soldiers and lands he can be somewhat of a challenge due to his generally crummy followers and low charm rating. Sun Jian (province 21), Cao Cao (pr 9), and Yuan Shao (pr 6) all are probably the most powerful from the opening of the scenario and are the most suitable choice for beginners. Dong Zhuo Triumphs in Louyang - 189 AD Probably the scenario with the most parity between rulers. Setting up a Game There are Six Scenarios from which you can choose to play. General Literature

Below is a list of the most commonly recommended books on polyamory.

More than Two - One of the most famous contemporary books on polyamory. My main concern with recommending it is that there have been serious abuse allegations raised by one of the authors, Eve Rickert, against the other author, Franklin Veaux, allegations supported by other members of their polycule. It is also, as far as I remember, really gung-ho about “everyone should own their own feelings” and leaves not a lot of room for empathising with your partner or dealing with their insecurities. I haven’t given it a read-through since, but I am told (again, this is hear-say) that Franklin’s negative philosophies influence the book. (To put it more bluntly: It is allegedly easy to arrive at a point of “My feelings are my own, so it is my fault I feel abused” from the book’s premises). 

In fact, this was the reason why I have hesitated for so long to put up this list of resources. I have considered not putting the book in the list at all, but we are still at a point where a lot of people recommend it and I would rather that people know about the background instead of completely keeping it under wraps. Plus, I find the book does have a lot of good points, just... take it with several pinches of salt.

Ethical Slut - Ethical Slut, to me, is less an intro to polyamory and indeed more of an intro to ethical non-monogamy. (I am talking about the 2nd version, that’s the one with the brown cover from 2015). It spends a lot of time deconstructing certain stereotypes about sex-negativity (which did not do a lot for me, I already knew I liked sex, lol). It seems written more from the perspective of opening up an existing relationship, which was not my reality of life - I joined an existing polycule while single. I read it at a time in my life when I was already in a polyamorous relationship and could not relate to a lot of reservations the authors spend a lot of time deconstructing. I find it lacking on info on metamour dynamics, for example (to the point that the word doesn’t even appear in the keyword index). This may be different in the third edition (the 2017 one with the violet cover). 

Smart Girl’s Guide to Polyamory  - have not read this personally, but I have heard good things. I think it lacks the problems of the other two books.

Stepping Off the Relationship Escalator - a book that talks about the milestones we tend to take in our relationships, such as moving in, marrying, etc, and how to find out if they are actually important to you.

Jealousy Workbook - have not read that one either, seen it recommended a lot.

9 years later and we have at last got a new Eva film and the end of the Rebuild project.

Much was made at the start of Rebuild of the desire to introduce Eva to a new audience. 1.0 more or less leant into its original goal and restaged episodes 1 to 6 of the TV series with a bigger budget, CGI, some more blunt and early reveals and a few weird alterations for the existing fan base. The Angel numbering was off; everyone knows Lilith is stuck in the basement, Seele just default to their monoliths. Kaworu is actively introduced at the tail-end rather than alluded to in the opening titles. As an intro, its fine (though most would agree the equivalent stage of the TV series isn’t really a struggle to cope with either), though a few stylistic and environmental changes lead many to conclude this was a direct sequel to End of Evangelion. 2.0 seemed content to build off of the intro but steer away from the relevant section of episodes – roughly 8 to 17. Recognisable moments like the falling Angel, the corrupted Unit 03 and the ribbon angel and Unit 01’s impossible reactivation share the screen with altered relationship dynamics. Now we get Mari one of the few wholly new characters who gets to open the second film in a wildly dramatic fashion. The key of Nebuchadnezzar (which does at least re-enter proceedings in the final film, but I am even shakier on what it is or used for – even fandom seem to have struggle to explain this as anything other than a blunt drop-in replacement for the Adam embryo in the TV series). And come the end its time for Third Impact already, Shinji altering the world around him to rescue Rei from the depths of an Angel. Kaworu uses an unfamiliar spear to incapacitate Shinji and the preview hints at a story further from the rails than ever. 3.0 is as promised more or less completely divorced from anything Eva had done before. Just not the off-the rails version 2.0 advertised. Some will be quick to note that none of the Rebuild previews have entirely accurately advertised their subsequent instalment; 1.0’s features at least one key scene that never happened (Mistao slapping Ristuko in a seeming allusion to the Sea of Dirac Angel) while even the sequences of animation that did make it look nothing alike. Which is fair, but even then 2.0’s bears absolutely no resemblance to 3.0 and even 3.0’s very strange preview doesn’t really jibe with 3.0+1.0 ultimately. 3.0 is post-post-apocalypse and with a whole 14 years just evaporated between films. There’s a distinct last third of Nadia feel to it. About the only part similar to a former incarnation is Kaworu and Shinji’s relationship which while not even roughly mapping to episode 24 serves the same function; to make Shinji distraught before the climax of this story. But 3.0 is also the point where that initial premise of the series slams headlong into the drift from familiar territory. Where the film is a quantum leap away from the mystery terms and slow reveals. The oddities and confusions pile up given the glimpsed state of the world, the strange gridded moon, the sea of Eva corpses, the strange state of Lilith in the depths of Nerv. An awful lot happened while Shinji was (for reasons no one has explained or seems to care about except me) IN SPACE and the film only ever alludes to the sequence of events occurring between these two films in the broadest of strokes. Which if done a certain way can be compelling though I did not find it to be the case here in the slightest. It’s a huge struggle to build up even a vague idea of what went down and that’s with heavy deferral back to the TV series again. If you’re new, none of this means much of anything. Even mixed media doesn’t help. The reveal there was a limited run manga of events prior to 3.0 had a potential for answers, but upon reading a synopsis... Nope. Helps not even a tiny amount. Also this mixed media attitude is never to be encouraged. So, I didn’t like film 3 much at all. Film 4 does little to not be based on where it left off. Which is a small mercy that it doesn’t effectively toss everything out again and skip further ahead in time. And 3.0+1.0 does at least make use of some of what 2.0 revealed and setup in the spirit of trying to get this into something cohesive. It fails, but it tried. Maybe the points it touches on were the intended direction of the films. Maybe Anno changed his mind on this one. It’s not like Rebuild’s failure to cohere should be a surprise – the title of the film is simply confusing in sequence. Titled neither 4.0 nor 4.44, instead we have the pretty inexplicable 3.0+1.0 which is just annoying to type. Even thematically this doesn’t feel right given its more like 2.0 mushed into 3.0 but I suppose that’s technically film 5 so... Unless, 1.0 here is supposed to mean the original TV series or EoE, which... End of Evangelion figures unexpectedly largely in the film. Could be that its meant to infer some collection of the Eva cast (the original pilots + Mari? The Ikari family + Mari? The pilots from 1.0 (Shinji and Rei) plus the pilots from 3.0 (Asuka and Mari)?). The other part of course, is that the three prior films had titles in the form of [Thing](Not)]Thing]. 3.0+1.0 decides to dispense with this entirely and instead is titled “Thrice Upon a Time”. Nothing like confusing matters (and instead media library ordering) by not only giving the film a title that puts it before the 3rd film (since prior to this cinema releases are .0 and the home media (excepting the first release of 1.0) are triple digits of their instalment number) but also has another reference to three within it. It might be some kind of holy trinity allusion, some play on Third Impact, or an acknowledgement that this is theoretically the third version of events surrounding the end of the world (if you take TV series as 1, EoE as 2, and Rebuild as 3). Also potentially a literary reference about cyclical time and messages from the future which is all well and good and fits into a whole other essay about how Rebuild and FFVII Remake are operating on the same basis and making many of the same mistakes by both trying to be fan-service for the new fans and draw in new ones and do the big fan-moments similarly but diverge wildly off in others. Good start! The final film starts with bombast as per 2 and 3 (and thus focused on Mari) though the setup and point of the action is possibly more confused and less explicable (which is saying something given 3.0 opened with retrieving Unit 01 from space. No, I will continue to complain about not getting this. Yes it was very exciting but why was Unit 01 in space? In a strange crucifix coffin. Anyone at all?) – and only vaguely connected to anything resembling the plot. At least 2.0 and 3.0 had some immediate and long term stakes with a cover for Kaji stealing something and bringing Shinji into the plot. This film opens with a scrounge for spare parts in a red Paris that the tertiary cast make no longer red while Mari fights off a massed horde of Evas while battleships are puppeteered from orbit. It’s all terrible cool and everything, but given at no point do we even begin to understand what is going on or what the stakes even are. Which is a problem with the latter half of the sequence. 2.0 might have started with an Eva vs Angel fight but while there was ambiguity over the situation it at least seemed to lead into the eventual plot. Here we’re getting Eva spare parts for later and a whole dose of new terminology the film has no interest in explaining. Which is par for the course for prior Eva incarnations but again, I feel there was more explanation setting the weirdness up. Here we are reduced to keywords that sound important. The film proper opens with our familiar trio of Eva pilots winding up at a village with their old classmates (which of course, to follow the proliferations of 3 all the way down and also match to Tokyo-3, is in fact, Village 3. The far future sequel to Resident Evil 8 presumably). Who are necessarily now 14 years older than them. Asuka is naked (in a sequence to contrast to 1.0 and 2.0) or in her underwear for far too much of this sequence (and just as creepy as 2.0 got with this) as Shinji struggles in the aftermath of Kaworu’s death, Ayanami (critically not the Rei of 2.0) learns about life (and visits a library with – I’m not kidding – a poster for Sugar Sugar Rune on display. I like to think not many in the audience caught this slightly odd reference). 30 minutes of the film are taken up with Rei being happy and contented with her life while Shinji slowly recovers and re-enters polite society (sulks, throws up at the sight of the DSS collar, is insulted and force-fed). There’s a good case for this section just being an unnecessary time filler, though you don’t need to fill time in a film that is 2 ½ hours. But if it was cut down, perhaps it would have the same strange feeling as 1.0 had where the aftermath of Shinji’s second Angel fight lead was mostly skipped and left that part of 1.0 feeling strangely hasty and actively (and badly) abridged. Maybe that’s just my familiarity with the source material again. There’s still an edge of weirdness in the air on the film hits the 45 minute mark; even prior to this gigantic sections of the land are missing, and some things just float around now (apparently because). Past this mark is where weirdness creeps in; the barriers keeping the village from suffering the fate of Paris – the structures a curious match to the Cocytus facility at the start of 2.0. There are headless Eva copies who roam the landscape. An indicator on Ayanami’s suit runs down. Shinji is advised to talk to his father before he loses the opportunity forever. This one made me laugh, and even Asuka comments that given who Shinji’s father is and what he’s done don’t really make this plausible (or sensible). Ayanami concludes her pastoral life and this stage of the film by transforming back to her original white plug-suit; her AT Field then dissipates and she bursts in a familiar spill of LCL. For such a previously central character, Rei or Ayanami or Lilith will have exceptionally little bearing on the remainder of the film. The plot now kicks in properly as Gendo decides enough is enough and he’s going to be doing some world ending. Our Eva pilots are ready but not the same; we have Asuka, Mari and Shinji. And standing orders for Shinji to be shot if he tries to pilot anything (but given we’re at the end of the world and basically the original plan fails to stop Nerv bringing about the end of the world, that people still try to shoot him is... a little weird and an almost pointless resolution of factors the quaternary cast brought up in 3.0). The entire rest of the film is even more impenetrable and confusing than Kaworu’s sweeping explanations of what happened between films 2 and 3. If 3.0 fumbled the ball on being newcomer friendly 3.0+1.0 actively doesn’t care. Not that familiarity with series helps since so much new terminology is thrown at the audience. The entire cast – literally the entire cast – are not only caught up on but also understand the varying levels of psychological, biological and religious nonsense that Eva has formerly wielded as something almost coherent. You, as audience member, are not privy to a fraction of this understanding and thus left to flail for the remainder of the film making what you can of the maddening breadcrumb trail of exclamations and partial explanations. Shinji is no help here and infuriatingly asks barely a single question about what is going on (thankfully he does prompt Gendo to explain a few things – presumably where even the staff had gotten lost on what was supposedly going on). For existing fans, you might get a sense of it by application of known quantities from the previous incarnations (I pity newcomers struggling to make sense of this). What the Lance of Cassius is a thing introduced abruptly into the series – and contrasted with the Lance of Longinus you can muddle through to get some idea of what was going on. 3.0+1.0 however, decides that even that grip on its story is too much and adds a bunch more unnamed spears. Some of them formed from Lilith. This is a thing of some import apparently, though ultimately is effectively buzzword name-checking. We know who Lilith is in context from both 1.0 and the TV series but how that relates to spear formation is beyond me. And then there’s the part where one of the flying ships (there were four made according to Seele’s plan. Seele, the former sinister puppet-masters, who died in film 3, and if the flying ships were their idea or this stated at all, I had totally forgotten it in the last 9 years (checking wikia seems to indicate no one else knew this either so I feel vindicated). Seele feel an artefact of the old Eva Anno has no time for – EoE had what equated to three groups vying for control of the process of human instrumentality. Seele are adhering to a prophecy of sorts, Gendo is trying to subvert that process for his own ends, and Misato is trying to stop it. In terms of economical story-telling, the distinction between Seele and Gendo’s goals in causing Third Impact are so slim as to be basically zero (few critical differences though), I suspect Seele were deemed unnecessary and shuffled out of proceedings hastily despite their continued name-checking at this late stage) is turned into another spear because if all the spears are used up, the end of the world can’t be averted. You will have to forgive me for failing to notice how and where most of these spears (save three) wound up or what most of that means or why or how or anything. But we have a budget to squander and why not channel the Gurren Lagann energy for action one last time? And there is some action, this presumably part of what a good section of the audience have waited for with baited breath, that thing the TV series so rapidly lost interest in; that EoE staged for narrative cruelty. Smashy giant robot action time! So we get billions of Eva enemies for Asuka and Mari to cut through without problem. They explode and fall away despite exhaustively overwhelming numbers. There is a palpable lack of threat here. A few hitches but nothing the pilots can’t cope with. It’s just empty fan-service, a boast about how much can be rendered into a single frame. We get Asuka, unable to stab critically important Unit 13 (looking distinctly Unit 01-like just with four arms), and then hooking into an odd leftover thread from 2.0. Her accident in the activation test of Unit 03 has left her with a part of herself now more correctly classified as an Angel. And like 2.0 for surprise value, her Eva has special Angel blood injectors to again overcharge her Eva (which seems to be a thing in the latter three films – turn the Eva safety off and go beserk. As if Unit 01 didn’t do that all on its own in the first and second film). And this too fails. But this too is just another moment of important and pretention. Where the audience is meant to gasp at Eva/Angel hybridisation (not that the dividing line between Angles and Evas is ever completely clear (not least Unit 03)), at Asuka revealing herself to be part Angel (as if Kaworu and Rei weren’t established examples). So her Eva bloated and animalistic is... just another moment. We saw this in 2.0 with Mari releasing her limiters. We saw it in 3.0 in almost the same way. The distinction isn’t meaningfully different to the last few times the Evas were let off the leash and became more brutal. And just like the prior times this escalation of Eva body horror, ferocity, blood and over-indulged violence doesn’t actually help the situation. Asuka fails in her task as the Unit 13 counter-attacks. She’s saved by getting pulled out of reality moments before her end. Of course this being narrative, this being Eva; Gendo, the architect of this situation, is three steps ahead. Misato’s flying ship is badly and perhaps critically damaged so Gendo can retrieve the limbless body of Unit 01 formerly powering the flying ship. Shooting Gendo doesn’t work thanks to the key of Nebuchadnezzar (which did... Uh. Something? Kaji noted it as the lost number kept as a spare in 2.0 which implied Angel or Eva or... No I don’t know nor can I make sense of what it’s done to Gendo. Wikia informs me that while it’s never seen on-screen past the one time, its case is in some shots of 3.0. How amazing) and he leaves. And thus, of course, Shinji must get in the f-ing robot once more. But we’re back to the confident, more certain Shinji who 2.0 birthed as we enter the last (but still very long) final stage of the film – and restage End of Evangelion. Curious of course; EoE by turns can feel like a legitimate replacement for the final two TV series episodes or a bleakly, darkly, disturbing and flippant retort to the low-budget metaphysic version of the TV apocalypse. EoE to some has been not so much the intended ending (though buying a complete set of the old Eva in Japan will always net you the 26 original TV episodes, the four amended episodes and EoE), but more a poisoned chalice for the people who wanted a less introspective version of the end of the world and the process of human instrumentality. Anno was free to do what he wanted and veer off the tracks here – he can’t get away from the end of the world – this is integral to Eva’s base concept. 2.0’s glimpse of Second and the starts of Third Impact depict a process completely unfamiliar from the TV series’s version (reading Wikia explains some of 2.0’s imagery but is still bewildering with reference to 3.0+1.0’s reveals). In Rebuild, the end of the world is staged in the space below the strange aftermath of Second Impact, in an anti-universe where humans cannot venture. And yet, we are still clearly revisiting End of Evangelion. Not exactly the same, but a lot of imagery (the symbols in the sky, the gigantic form of Lilith at multiple points, the crucifix explosions across Earth’s surface) – to say nothing of some actual sections of animation – are taken straight from the 1997 film. Those moments and images were haunting and disturbing (the more overtly sexualised imagery has been completely removed). Clearly no matter what was said at the time or in the interim, EoE is in fact how the ending must play out; this is, or has become, what happens externally and internally when these characters attempt to force a next stage of evolution. The End of Evangelion will always be the end. ...just not quite the same. Not least it is missing most of the infamous moments (Shinji in Asuka’s hospital room is notably completely absent). There’s no moment where Shinji strangles Asuka, Komm Susser Tod is missing entire (in favour of something similar sounding but in Japanese), the live-action sequences of the empty cinema or the world without Evas aren’t utilised (though some live action footage is included), Rei betraying Gendo and beginning Third Impact outside his control etc. It's actively absurd to type this, but Lilith – Lilith! – has less character here. Which is so astonishingly absurd given the only depiction of Lilith we get is effectively Rei/Rei was Lilith the entire time, but those introspective sequences hinting at something more involved with Rei or the points Lilith does talk directly to Shinji are gone too. This shouldn’t be a surprise – we are after all missing a Rei character at the climax. Mostly. 3.0+1.0 almost expects you to remember the last time you saw Eva end the world and contrast it to this new version. The EoE imagery, the footage of Lilith descending from the crucifix, the looming figure of Lilith rising as humanity ends. Even something like the sequence of the backsides of cels running backward is reused – this footage also cribbed from EoE and played out on a wall between two characters. The animation breaks down into scratchy storyboards and later degenerates from finished footage down to outlines, animatics, and storyboard. The end of the world is this time around is more heavily meta. Both EoE and the TV episodes “staged” the process of Instrumentality (or parts of it) for Shinji. It occurs in filming spaces and on sets, there’s lighting equipment and dolls as stand-ins. The strange artificiality of pulling back the curtain on the TV or film production, or else the effect of  setting the camera back further than you should for filming a theatrical experience. But even that’s a false layer given a true pull-back would be to people in front of computers or previously drawing key-frames. Here the staging is more blunt still. It begins with an Eva vs Eva fight between Gendo and Shinji in the anti-universe where their brains make sense of the impossible space with artificially staged areas of familiar locations. A fight in a city has a huge sheet as a backdrop and carboard buildings the Evas kick around. They fight in front of Nerv headquarters and in Misato’s kitchen. A blow knocks over a section of scenery and sprawls Shinji in the studio space surrounding the set. A crossroads of sort where Shinji will move on from Gendo to meet with Rei, Kaworu and Asuka. The major difference to EoE is that the end here is much more concerned with Gendo; we dive into his psyche and his past. His isolation and desire for it. This feels extremely confessional for Anno all things considered given Gendo was always previously kept at arm’s length. This feels revealing about the man behind it all, a reflection of the director. He has admitted during production that at his stage of life he is far closer to Gendo than Shinji – I think this is barely obfuscated here. The flashback is more about understanding Gendo and how Yui changed him than anything about Evas or the end of the world. Gendo’s motivation is revealed to be the same as always; this is how he gets to be with Yui again. Odd details catch as this past plays out. And is that Mari in his memories? Mari, who Fuyustuki calls Mary Iscariot upon meeting her and has prepared something for her. Which feels much more like religious buzz words; there’s an obvious implication coached in that selection of a name, but how it actually relates to the story or the circumstances is really unclear. Nor am I clear on what Fuyutsuki prepared. He explodes into LCL like last time too. The process is so close to EoE but the mood is lighter and the reasoning behind the cast a little different. Asuka is part of a clone series – same as Rei. Just without the physical signifiers that Kaworu and Rei exhibit and the prior short-hand for clones in this universe (as noted, their design is intended to invoke lab rats). Nice consistency there. The beach ending from EoE is re-done under a blue sky; Asuka is saved thanks to Shinji and Mari working in concert. Kaworu’s beach meeting with Shinji is restaged, the newer, confident Shinji discussing the circular system that delivers Kaworu into his place at the end of the world. So Eva has happened before, meta-wise or time-wise or dimensionally. Take it as you will, no interpretation is more valid than another. Only that Kaworu remembers them all. It’s happened before and it’s expected to happen again. But Shinji’s different now, so the end of the world is different. Now it’s time to move on; Kaworu is left with Kaji to tend the earth assured the cycle of Eva productions is at an end – both have been dead all this time. Anno’s attitude to his seeming forever association with this one franchise his and his desire to set it down and move on? EoE finished in space; 3.0+1.0 finishes beneath the Antarctic. The idea of Unit 01 living forever as a testament to humanity is no factor at all Shinji intending (and his parents possibly driving) the final riddance of the Evas from reality – none can be allowed to remain. But now, the film takes an odd turn, and as with EoE, there’s the coda. In EoE this was the beach scene. For Rebuild: The sun shines, the sky is blue. An adult Shinji sits in a train station and meets with Mari. She’s older too now; the pair share a kiss and run from the station hand in hand. So. Uh. Yeah. That happened. There’s Kaworu and Rei seemingly alive and well as adults. And Asuka of course. But Shinji winds up with Mari. Mari who knew everything the whole time and might somehow have been part of Gendo’s group at university and known Yui and no, we are not getting any insight into those peculiarities! (or more plausibly it could be Mari’s mother who looks near identical to Mari but... What are we meant to take from this, really?). Mari who met Shinji in a handful of brief moments and has never spent any actual time with him. Mari won the love-triangle! But this is not some simple alternate reality, a different better take world where the cast existed in something resembling our reality; Shinji still wears the exploding DSS collar given to him before rejoining the giant robot fray. Mari effortlessly removes it from his neck. The film ends with a live-action sequence – this is reportedly Anno’s hometown. The world without Evas; we passed the relevant date while 3.0+1.0 was stalled. Shinji made it to 2014, or more plausibly past it in a world without Second Impact. And he’s happy, well-adjusted, and... Not really recognisable as Shinji. Shinji now exists in the present, not the future as he had for so long in pop-culture. But he’s in a different 2021; a world without the pandemic. And that was Rebuild; a project intended as a new introduction to Evangelion that blatantly had its entire core conceit revised at least twice (the 4th film delayed because of Shin Godzilla and then a struggle to write at all) that increasingly and confusingly leant more and more on its famed initial incarnation even as it veered increasingly and erratically away from the familiar sequences. I liked 3.0+1.0 more than 3.0, but can’t help but still bemoan whatever 3.0 was going to be when 2.0 happened. The alternate other sequence. And despite it all, despite the allusions to a repetition of Eva and of this being the break in the chain, even those working on and involved with the film see even this as a definitive end. Even Anno’s not convinced that’s the last word. Eva will come back all over again; naturally – there’s money to be made here, and what’s yet another alternate take to add to the TV series, the manga, the games, the other manga, EoE, Rebuild and so on. Kaworu apparently is indeed doomed to revisit this forever alongside everyone else and also remember that for once he was gifted a true end. An impossible conclusion for modern pop-culture it feels.

Intro bio with Crowley isn’t easy, but it’s totally doable if you stay on top of the material. Show up to class, take really good notes from lectures, and do the practice problems that he gives you. Oh, and do the reading and post in the forum, he does check and give credit for it and it’s easy points. And go to his office hours and ask a lot of questions—he’s not warm and fuzzy, but he’ll help you out if you ask. The only reason I passed is because I started to go every week with questions. And he has a snake in there, sometimes! Which I guess some people might not like, but if you’re going to be a bio major you’d probably better get used to it ;)

He made us bring our phones to class so that we could answer questions and stuff during lectures. Which was fine, but be warned that he KNOWS if you’re doing something else on it and get distracted. One time he took a selfie of himself teaching and posted to some kid’s instagram because she was on it during class. Another time he sent a text message to someone’s mom. Lectures were interesting enough, exams were fine. He does like pop quizzes, though. Better than some of the other people who teach intro bio, it’s worth trying to get into his section even though it’s early.

He’s not the kind to get really enthusiastic in class, but you can tell that he knows everything about plants and really loves them. I honestly didn’t think this class would be that interesting, but Dr. Crowley made it better than I expected. Used a lot of case studies in plant phys, so we got to see why stuff actually mattered.

More excited about plants than anyone I’ve ever met! He really just loves them, and so you do too. For Botany we did a service project where we went to a state park and helped survey native plants. Half the class got poison ivy, but it was still really cool to actually do something useful for the class.

It was the first time the class was flipped, but it worked ok. Video lectures to watch before class, and practice problems in groups during class. If you don’t like learning from videos, you might not like it much. I don’t know how he assigned the groups, he got the weirdest sets together. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many people get in fights in a class, but if you just figured out how to work together you learned a lot. Crowley usually just watched and laughed while they were yelling at each other. Definitely not the most hands-on professor, but he never minded answering questions if you were doing your work.

Look, people say Crowley is scary, and I get it, but he’s not mean to students. One guy in the class said that he didn’t know that plants took up water through their roots instead of their leaves, and Crowley started yelling for twenty minutes about how bad science education is because of standardized testing. Poor guy was terrified, but at the end Crowley told him that it wasn’t his fault for not knowing something if nobody ever taught him, and that he wanted students to be able to ask any questions, even if it should be obvious. So, yeah. He’s actually a really solid dude. Don’t be afraid to ask questions in his class. I’ve never seen him try to make students look stupid, no matter what they said.

And he always seemed to notice when someone was checking in for a friend, so you really do have to go to class. He has way too much energy for an 8:10 section, but it helps you stay awake. I think he might be better for upper-levels, but at least he’s trying with the intro class.

Dr Fell is a ray of sunlight! He always just made me happier walking into class, I want to take every class he teaches just to see him smiling at me in the morning. Knows his stuff, and just really seems to actually like his students. I stumbled across his office in a back hallway one time, and he gave me tea and let me pet his snake!

Fell is one of my favorite profs in english! Yeah, he talks a LOT, but it’s all super interesting stories about the authors that we read and stuff. He makes even really boring books interesting. DO the readings, though, because you can’t get away with bullshitting in discussions. He just keeps asking you more questions about what you thought and why, and if he figures out that you slacked he just looks really disappointed in you.

He’s always covered in chalk dust, and I don’t know why, because he hardly ever stops to write anything on the board. And it’s not because he has power points instead, because he doesn’t. Anyway, if you want to be scribbling frantically for the entire period without knowing how any of the many, many names he’ll say are spelled, you’ll love him. He will ask about them on the exam.

I love Dr Fell!!! He’s seriously the only reason I graduated. I was seriously thinking about dropping out because I was flunking orgo again, but one day he asked me to stay after class and told me that he wanted to nominate my paper for a student award, and told me that I really had to keep writing. I started crying, and he just gave me a tissue and told me I had to stay. One of the most caring professors I’ve ever had. I’d never even told him I was thinking about leaving.

One of the smartest people I’ve ever met. Occasionally he forgets that the rest of the world can’t always keep up, but he’s usually really good about going back and explaining if you ask. Goes on tangents, but they’re always really interesting. Ask him about the history of Edinburgh, he talked about it for like 40 minutes and it was one of the most interesting classes I’ve ever been in. Also just a really sweet guy. I’m a bit jealous of his husband, ngl.

Gather ‘round peeps. It’s story time. (Spoilers for changes so don’t read if you’re seeing it soon in the future)

Pre-show

So the first thing I feel like I need to say is that if you are a purist for what they call BMC 1.0, you may not like this. There were a lot of changes to lyrics and lines. It was the same show we all love, but it was different. I loved most of the changes but I can see why some people wouldn’t. 

In Will Roland’s bio, he says “actor/singer/human.” That’s not important to the show, but it was important to me that you know that. 

Also something for my fellow plus size people, the seats are not the most accommodating. Hopefully that isn’t a deterrent, but it is something you should probably know. 

They have a thing called squiptheline.com where you can preorder your merch and pick them up. I got poster, sticker pack, and lip balm (they are mountain dew and mountain dew red)

And then it begins...

They had the SQUIP do the intro and it was beautifully hysterical. 

They lit up the dot on the “i” (which was a little pill) on the curtain-thing 

The shelves behind Jeremy’s bed were full of nerd shit and it was beautiful. 

Jeremy has glasses. Nerd level even higher

Jeremy’s dad comes on with unwashed bowls of cereal, old pizza boxes, and cartoons on. Really adds to his depressed aesthetic. 

When he’s leaving, you see the mailbox full of mail.

He comes back on as the bus driver so quickly.... how?

During the dance bit, he runs into everyone and shouts “girls!” and then shouts “boys!”

Instead of “so Jenna Roland... I mean slutty” dialogue, they change it to “What are you staring at.... I’ve never even noticed him.”

Signup comes from up above. It’s awesome. 

Christine comes on to catch her Eos chapstick (as someone who uses Eos chapstick, I can tell you this is 100% accurate) and then dramatic application

After second verse, before Michael’s entrance, they have Chloe talk dodge a question about her and Jake’s breakup and then Jenna says she saw him with someone. To which Chloe responded, “tell me everything” and then exited. 

George Salazar is amazing and I love him. 

Even from the beginning, with Michael you weren’t sure on the LGBTQ+ spectrum he was, but he DEFINITELY wasn’t straight. 

(Headcannon #1 they used; Michael’s has 2 moms); when seeing the infamous “boyf” “riends,” he took out his phone to take a selfie and said “my mothers would be thrilled!”

Play thing came down from the sky again and Christine lay on the floor for a little bit so you could see her face underneath until it covered her

She did the chorus line dance!

The awkwardness of the scene before I Love Play Rehearsal. 10/10. 

The popular kids knocked Christine and Jeremy off the chairs (my poor babies!)

The projection behind the backup was TERRIFYING. They projected people all in white behind them doing the movements.

Screaming “The cafetorium!” and then having the quieter music as they sit and play the game, emotionless was beautiful. 

“You’re like this bottle of Crystal Pepsi that expired in 1996″ “Is that safe for human consumption?” “Gets better with age”

They had a projection of the game in the background at the end.

They had fog in the shoebox as well as a blue light

“to activate take with mountain dew... not sure why.... and this is important, to deactivate-we’re sold out!”

And then never ended that thought...

“how do you feel?” “like...” singing to add to the dramatic moment and then... “a chump.”

“this guy is hooking me up with a case of ecto-something (i forget). It’s the ghostbusters drink they discontinued in the 90s!” “What does it taste like?” *whispered* “Ghosts!”

For the Reprise of Be More Chill, they had both the old lady in the track suit, and a lady in the scooter

her license plate said “bingo queen”

The SQUIP fixes his vision and he doesn’t need the glasses

It’s hard to describe the song, but it’s about friends being “synched” and how everyone is hiding something underneath.

You hear Michael a couple times, but you don’t see him

Talking about Mr. Reyes “his dreams are dead. That’s why he eats so many hot pockets” (hot pockets is sing-song)

When Jeremy says he was doing performance art, Christine has her own idea for a performance art piece. You don’t hear anything about the idea until then end when she’s squatting and shouts “and then I give birth to the bowling ball!”

You don’t hear it because the SQUIP is talking to Jeremy saying she’s unusual because she doesn’t seem to care what anyone else thinks. 

During play rehearsal: “bring me patient zero!” “cough!” (she says cough). Then Brooke says her line in stressed iambic pentameter.

They had little hearts for Guy I’d Kinda Be Into

The SQUIP was all ready to point to Jeremy at the end and then was like “wtf” when she said Jake

They had bleachers for the football field for the scene before and during Upgrade

“She wants to make out with you” “Ive never made out with anyone in my life”

End of Brooke’s solo in the beginning, they changed. “So kiiiiiiiiiiiiss meeeeeeee.” *giant pause and then repeated melody* “like noooooooooooooooow” 

They added dialogue after Jake and Christine which lead to this layering thing of them all singing “I’m tired of being the person that everyone thinks that I am”

Loser Geek Whatever is so much more emotional than even when i saw it off broadway.

The SQUIP came back out in a very elaborate dress/jacket thing. It was cool

They played a jazzy version of the Pants Song during intermission

For Smartphone hour, the changed the first verse of the chorus to “Rich set a fire and he burned down Jake’s house” which helps me immensely (fun fact, someone once thought I was crazy because my friend once texted me “did Rich set his own house on fire, or Jake’s house?” and they saw it and thought my friends were arsonists. I mean, I am somewhat insane, but... not for that reason)

Michael and the dad’s female characters came down from the ceiling.

Michael had shark slippers, Rich had unicorn slippers, and Jeremy’s dad was in a onesie that said “naughty”

I have said this before and I will say this again, it takes real courage to be on stage in front of a few hundred people and sing whilst in your boxers

Oneus Twilight full comeback review

When I say full comeback review it’s because it’s a FULL comeback review. From the concept films to the Japanese verison, were gonna cover a lot so get a cup of something to drink cause this will be hella long aka Bible (I’m a nice person I’m telling you this beforehand).(You should do a Youtube video review then… nya… BORING)

So let’s begin. This is not the first time I follow a group comeback in real time… You know… Checking everyday the performances, so I kinda know how it works. We have gone through a lot of stuff… KARD You in Me, GFriend Fingertip, Red Velvet Peak a Boo, Dreamcacther as whole, BTS Fake Love, F(x) Dracula, BTS Wings album as a whole and last but far from least BTS Blood Sweat and Tears. I wouldn’t call some of them dark concept, I also wouldn’t call some of the sexy concept. By these examples you can see I have my standards pretty high. I’m that annoying perfectionist old uncle and declare myself guilty. For years Blood Sweat and Tears was the top song for me. (I’m a sane person ok… That doesn’t mean I listen to it 24/7). The MV had very beautiful aesthetics and I liked the lyrics and the song. Clothes were cool and the coreography too. F(x) Dracula would come in second and I never thought something could also join these two. Until… It happened. I knew RBW was releasing a new group but I just waited. Turns out I found out the group some months later then the actual debut. Oneus debuted with Valkyrie. The way they changed the coreography every stage, the amazing fashion sense, song was good quality. They had vocal thecnique, they had dancing it caught my attention and Valkyrie was straight to my playlist. Then… it happened. The group’s first comeback. I don’t know how, when or even who am I but I found out about the comeback EXACTLY AT THE RIGHT TIME (Technically not because I was 16 hours late). I know you know we know, we are not going retro like 80’s or 90’s. We are not going retro like acient Corea like BTS Idol. We are going retro 1500/1700 not Japan, not China, not Corea, EUROPE. Welcome to the renaissance. The MV was shot in Italy, the amazing fashion sense strikes again (I swear to God stylist min is communicating with me), the song, the lyrics, the coreography, the cool colored camera filters, I need to mention the vocal technique again, the rest of the album being consistently good (BingBing), I dare say nothing is perfect… But man… This gets 99,99% of what I call perfection. It’s a shame they didn’t win any music show… Because they are a newer group and still don’t have a large fandom? WHO CARES. Let me tell you something BTS sucess should have been in 2017 Wings… The high point of their artistity…  Ateez was also a newer group AND THEY DID WIN. I give congratulations to them but Oneus needed to win and it had to be with Twilight nothing changes my mind. (Don’t come to me saying we can give them their win next comeback, it won’t do it) This type of thing only happens once in a lifetime, why? Repeat and it gets boring, they can do the same concept again but it won’t be the same, same for BTS wings. It’s not about quantity is quality. Veiws never mattered to me and now I can say with all my mighty that wins do not make art. (I was never a fan of streaming but you count my ass off this mess cause YES I did some small streaming of the MV, I did my homework) (Take in account they did this comeback with BLOOD IN THEIR EYES) (Please give Dreamcather and KARD their first win too. Did you know that with You and I Dreamcatcher also had comeback with blood in their eyes??). Let’s start with the song name… Twilight. Remember 2009 movie sensation Twilight? Yup that’s it… I know you know we know, we are going deep in the vampire/ werewolf style in here and why I said I know you know we know? Xion posted about it on Twitter…

Twilight is basically Seoho eating up all the line AND center distribution and detail... the only thing he does is SING THE CHORUS. Also thanks Keone Madrid for making this coreo for Oneus (he also did BTS Blood Sweat and Tears -  DO YOU SEE THE PATTERN). Also rumors that Oneus actually created about 40-50% of the coreo so also thank you Oneus hehe.

Bitch it's me we are taking about do you really think I would miss a possible plotline?? Xion is with a red diamond and later he breaks it into dust (I'm scared). Keonhee is with a ring. Ravn is looking at his own reflection in the water and Seoho is looking at his own reflection through a broken mirror. Woongie is with a necklace. I guess the high point in Leedo's individual shots is the wolf (question mark)... Woongie and Keonhee are the only members that change the eye color. Seoho and Woongie are the only members that simulate super powers (question mark). Summary they all lost someone.... Silence is also a way of communication... I'm not a huge fan of theories or the fanfics I know ya'll write later in wattpad but fell yourself served, you're welcome, no need to thank me.

Humanity mystery here. They recorded a version of the coreography when the sun was actually falling down in real life and we see those scenes in the MV. But if the whole staff was SHOCK about the key part of the coreography being extremely perfect and beautiful then why not use it on the MV? Sure the version they used outdoors was pretty too but this was ALSO awesome and I think I need as many version of the MV as I can.

Intro - What can I say... it fells so chill out, kinda minimalistic I just loved it. Twilight - Just amazing... I liked the dumbstep, the music is confusing witch I find extreamly cool. English Girl - Let em tell you not my type of song... but the lyrics are extreamly funny and relatable... so I forgive (I’m waiting crazy ho now Oneus, do not disappoint me) BingBing- YOU DON'T FREAKING START A SONG IN FRENCH IF NOT AIMING FOR TITTLE TRACK LEVEL. Ok and can we talk about the coreography???? BEAUTIFUL and I want to know the mastermind behind it. I just don't know why this was not above English Girl on the tracklist... White Night - Ok a more slow song but as always Oneus always delivers. (low key Red Thread sequel??) Now - This gives me Calvin Harris vibes. More dance eletronic standard pop but it's good...

So the first performance ever was… Guess what… Before the MV was released and where? JAPAN (My half japanese ass is shaking). So people there kinda received a spoiler (clothes too) and Mnet uploaded it in the same day of the MV release so other people that weren’t at the kcon wouldn’t receive a spoiler. New clothes yay. Keonhee hair and clothes were nice, I don’t know what to think about this set of clothes because I was never a fan of prints or this variations of cream and brown. The way the lights were positioned was tricky but the small amout of yellow lights didn’t bother me at all. No rings or earings today unfortunately.

First of all I’m really mad because they cutted the song. Second I’m really mad because they didn’t upload on YouTube. It’s seems like this is was pre calculated beucase it was EXACTLY WHEN THEY CHANGED THE COREOGRAPHY. Same old story. I’m mad they cutted the song, didn’t upload on youtube and exactly when they changed the coreography. On the other side we have new clothes yay. It’s not only black and gold powerful match. It’s black and gold with snake print cause I’m a bad bitch. It’s the only place where they NEEDED to use the yellow lights and I’m actually mad they used black and white. Someone save Seoho from his chocker. Color scheme was great but it’s not like the clothes desing are bad. I just feel it could have been better. Woongie you really fooled me here I was scared. He only did the fingerheart cause it was their last performace at that specific program. Oneus first photobook in Milano was announced. I won’t go into detail cause this is not the goal here... but we get it... YOU WEREN’T JOKING AROUND IN ITALY. Usually it takes a lot of time for a group to come up with a photobook so I’m proud and that was pretty smartass way to finish promotions if I may say...

Now… you have seen me against the yellow light for the whole post and you must be asking yourself WHY? Well… when you have the work to color correct the entire MV to cool colors YOU MUST AS WELL DO IT ON THE PERFORMANCES… that’s it… it’s called color pallet and you should respect it. Or in other cases like when they used black and gold respect the color palette of the specific performance.

Now let’s go to 05/07/19 Oneus is a newer group so I wasn’t even dreaming about this cause again... It takes a while for this to happened. My spider senses told me something was off when they announced they would be attending breakout in Japan and SURPRISE. Twilight japanese version was announced. Versions A/B/C and CD+DVD. Some questions were raised. There will be another version of the MV and new clothes? If yes I WANT SOMETHING ON THE SAME LEVEL. Will there be a instrumental version? Will they put Valkyrie japanese version too? They would all be answered later... AND MORE. They had the audacity to show BingBing complete coreo for the first time. They must really love Japan. Legends also say that they already performed the japanese version in this festival.

I was getting uneasy with the release date coming closer and no photos of the covers of the CD’s... then 25/07 they released a schedule... I wasn’t really expecting a schedule but I was happy cause next day we would have a teaser of the MV and surprise, it was basiclly the same thing. Good because is quality stuff but bad cause I was waiting somehing new... 29/07/19 We got tracklist and GUESS WHO WAS THERE?? EXACTLY, VALKYRIE JAPANESE VERSION +++++ TWO new songs.... We are blessed.. until 30/07/19 where we got what actually was happening...

07/08 The MV was released. They don’t have official youtube chanel so they uploaded in the company that represents them in japan.

The major changes were the individual shots as they had to sing in japanese. Nothing to complain in here, their pronunciation was good but the lyrics timing didn’t seem to match the song. Valkyrie had a better japanese version then Twilight... I loved the two new songs we got too.

(Bless the person who putted Korean and Japenese side to side, I saved the video on that huge playlist)

Also, can we appreciate how well Oneus and Twilight was received in Japan? They went to national television, topped Oricon AND Billboard Japan. Tower Records was EMPTY on the first day and they promoted for almost a whole month with shows. Japan basically adoped Oneus.

But nothing is flowers. It’s was extreamly difficult to buy this single online outside japan.LET ME TELL YOU. CD japan? Nothing, Amazon japan? Nothing, Yahoo Japan? Nothing. Rakuten? Nothing, YesAsia? NOTHING. THE ONLY PLACE I COULD FIND TO BUY THIS ONLINE IS TOWER RECORDS OFFICIAL WEBSITE WITCH GUESS WHAT IT IS IN JAPANESE. AND TO BUY OUTSIDE JAPAN YOU DON’T BUY FROM THEIR WEBSITE. IT’S FROM ANOTHER WEBSITE WITCH TOWER RECORDS THEMSELFS PUTED THE LINK IN THOSE HUGE ASS BANNERS IN THEIR WEBSITE. Summary it was  literally giving birth to buy this online.

I tought I could rest BUT NOT. They would attend Soribada Music Awards... THEIR FIRST AWARD SHOW. Look I love Valkyrie... but I want Twilight to be performed and I WANT FASHION OK. I’m full of expetations, do not disappoint me Oneus. The day of the award show came and well... I was actually disappointed. Simple suits and the performance clothes? They repeated one of the worst weapons in their closets. C’mon... if you are going to repeat you have better choices IT’S NO EXCUSE... that’s the summary...

Well, from now I have covered everything... Don’t sleep in Keonhee vocals, Oneus has TWO MAIN VOCALS, appreciate Woongie vocals, that’s it.

park aejeong aka zo is a lust sin demon who works as a hitman for neugdaedeul woop

she’s named zo because before she got into the whole having a vessel thing she was the infamous zozo demon that would communicate and fuck with humans through ouija boards so that was fun now it’s her alias 

pretty much the main thing you need to know about aejeong is she is in love with lucifer. she worships him. not sure if she wants to BE him or be with him but basically she’s got a massive hard on for satan it’s pretty much what drives her and gets her going tbh 

so she doesn’t remember like anything from her past mortal life and she’s happy with that cause she thinks that being turned into a sin demon means she was reborn and baptized in the name of his unholiness. she’s high key convinced lucifer hand chose her to be a lust demon because of her love and adoration for him but that’s a story for another time 

the vessel she now controls used to belong to one park bora. she was like the purest thing aejeong ever did lay her eyes on. her soul was pretty much 100% light. she was just so innocent and aejeong is really the worst and decided to destroy this girl piece by piece. pretty much drove her wild with lust, corrupted her all while denying her the opportunity to act upon her sinful thoughts. she literally drove bora INSANE. the poor thing after months and months was literally begging to be killed. so aejeong did, in a very long and excruciating way. she went ahead and hopped into bora’s body after she died and being the sick bitch she is uses the innocent and pure image that she had in order to carry out her sin work. bora died a virgin just so aejeong could defile her herself. 

anyway the vessel she has is really useful. she’s young and pretty with a sweet face. aejeong’s whole get up is she will wear school girl-esque outfits, you know with short skirts and thigh high socks to lure people in. she’ll then just feed off of their lust then kill them tbh. 

killing wasn’t originally part of her routine but after bora she kinda got on a real high and discovered she lowkey had a lust for blood. plus she was like... disconcertingly good at killing people. like too good. 

anyway so then she joined neugdaedeul just so she had a reason to kill and got praise for it. it’s literally just all fun and games for her. she gets to kill and she gets to feed off of lust so she’s living her best life. plus she’s one of the best hit men neugdaedeul has which is a bonus 

also did i mention she only uses knives to kill (or her own hands if her knives aren’t available) purely for the intimacy of it yah she’s weird 

personality wise, aejeong is pretty.... literal. she doesn’t understand sarcasm or moral queues. she’s a demon, why would she have to learn her p’s and q’s? she doesn’t quite.... Get some parts about living. 

also she’s technologically challenged. never needed to get involved with modern technology. her apartment is literally just a bed. she barely understands how a microwave works, doesn’t own a phone and would probably punch a hole through the screen of a computer because she doesn’t know how to use it. 

pop culture? don’t know her. music? just loud noises that mortals somehow enjoy. 

she also thinks she’s better than everyone else. not even on like a personality stand point. she believes that sin demons are the peak of the supernatural hierarchy. like they get to work for lucifer, they serve him. everyone else is trash because at least aejeong’s life has meaning. 

basically she’s lowkey disturbing and has some really weird kinks. gets off on making people uneasy and uncomfortable. heck, even the act of killing gets her off. 

the furthest thing for human someone could be despite having been a human at one point or another. 

she does have some unconsciously soft tendencies that appear time to time as a residual haunting of her mortal past. one day she will gain some memories back and basically everything u read here will be flipped upside down tbh.

Well, it’s 2021, and it’s summer. And that, good reader, can only mean one thing – it’s time for another Summer Song. So here, right on schedule, comes Summer Song 2021 from arg and machine HQ.

arg composed this track over the past week – that is to say that this isn’t an old fragment that arg rediscovered on one of machine HQ’s hard disks and expanded into a full track. Nope, this is a brand-new tune.

The only thing you need to keep in mind while giving this track a spin is that while composing it, arg – deciding to try out an idea of his – double-tracked the synth bass. Other than this minor difference, this new track isn’t much different – technically, that is – from the previously-released machine HQ jams.

The track is divided into several sections, including an intro and a bass-less middle segment. Unlike 2020’s summer track, however, this one doesn’t have any ambient elements. Summer Song 2021 can be heard right here [above], or at arg/machine HQ’s SoundCloud page.

Note: as far as this particular track is concerned, arg would like – when he feels like it, that is – to sequence/lay out/structure it a bit differently. He’d also like to experiment with some other synth brass sounds in the track’s latter segments. Those are the reasons why the track currently comes with a “version 1.0” tag.

machine HQ disclaimer: if asked exactly how happy he is with this track as it stands now, arg would probably say, “about sixty per cent.” That’s because everything – from its composition to production to the final rendering – was done on a laptop, and arg thinks he could have made the track better if he had access to a more professional setup. Also remember that all machine HQ tracks are currently mixed and mastered for headphone playback only.

And now, a word about why arg hasn’t been composing metal/hard rock tracks: arg loves these genres of music, but is currently hampered by a lack of necessary equipment. This, good reader, prevents him from creating/composing proper solos, without which his music will end up sounding incomplete, like backing tracks. At least that’s what arg – who has heard enough instrumental metal and prog rock music – feels.
