Megamind Rules / Megamind Vs The Doom Syndicate is NOT made by AI
Listen y'all what we're NOT going to do is make shit up and accuse the writers of Megamind Rules / Megamind Vs The Doom Syndicate of using AI to make the scripts. I've been following them on twitter since before the show was even announced; they are against AI as it directly impacts their livelihoods and there was an entire team of writers for the show/movie.
Just because you don't like the concept or animation isn't enough reason to just blatantly lie; Brent Simons, Alan Schoolcraft, Eric Fogel, and the rest of the team for sure put their hearts into it. It's not their fault they got such a small budget that makes it look crunchy. The Doom Syndicate were also ALWAYS a concept that existed; they were enemies removed from the original film late enough that they're all over the Art Of book and the 2010 video games. And YES Megamind is isolated and awkward, but the existence of the Doom Syndicate in his past is NOT impossible by any means-- it is entirely possible to feel absolutely alone in a large group of people that make you feel inferior or unsafe. When he said in the movie "it was me and Minion against the world" what he means is Minion was his main support growing up. It would be impossible to have no adults in his life even isolated in a prison, and other villains would absolutely be trying to use his smarts to their advantage.
Again, just because the animation is crunchy is no reason to just make shit up and blame the writers of using AI; perhaps the AI is picking up that plot because THIS CONCEPT ALWAYS EXISTED and has fueled countless fanfiction and fan rp blogs that said AI models stole from. :) Thanks for playing!

It’s interesting to watch people on this app get on this super weird moral high ground when discussing SJM/acotar. Like these people will use the anti tags, knowing full well that the people who follow the anti tags will see their post and debate with them, and then cry victim and say antis need to go outside and touch grass or something similar.
Like babes. Is this your first deep dive into fandom? Discourse within a fandom is super normal. You’re not special because you agree with everything SJM writes. Why y’all being weird?
I swear. Some of y’all never would have survived the early days of tumblr frfr.

redrew some of the earliest art ever of Helmi because why not. these are from when I initially had my dreams of her back in 2005. and yes that is dreams in plural, Helmi is one of the few non-nightmare recurring dream entities that would show up again in a dream right after waking up and going back to sleep, so that's wild.
to recount the dream a little bit, Helmi (she was originally a cis guy and had a different name, mind, she didn't get her current name and set of pronouns until 2017) was in a high school environment with me and wanted to be my friend. she was also a protagonist in a tv show?? (for whatever reason it was titled Golden Boy and had no relation to the anime of the same name lol)
anyway, after I woke up and went to sleep again she wanted to drive the bus I was in. so... lol.
over the years she's been a recurring figure in so many places and she's always been very chipper and eager to make friends. so in a sense, she became my friend.

streaming is convenient in many ways, but the era of linear television and feature-packed home releases are something I'm willing to be very "nyeh, back in My day" about. I think it's genuinely sad that people will miss out on the experience of pacing out stories not Only through schedules/limited numbers of episodes available on a collection, but through bumpers, idents, and other interstitial programming that streaming services have no need for and lack, some of which can be an appealing, inspiring form of art in their own right. I think they're creative ways of letting you sit and digest what you've just watched by acting as borders between programming, rather than the relatively cold return to a basic menu, or the more obnoxious "we're putting the next episode on in TWO SECONDS if you don't cancel it!! here's other things like this! watch those!!!" that pop up before the current thing has even had a chance to finish properly.

This is so unimportant but I keep thinking about that post from a few days ago that was basically like "reblog if hamilton wasn't your first musical" and like 1) i keep thinking of musicals I'd listened to before that even came out (I had two knee jerk reaction ones but i'm up to like seven now) and 2) I STILL HAVEN'T LISTENED TO HAMILTON so that number can just keep going infinitely up
and also 3) I feel like there were at least a few pretty big movie musicals before hamilton. am I just that old?
