Studying the teacher, I hope that the struggles and achievements my characters make throughout this tale can be your own as well. I’ve always been apprehensive about sharing them to the world, but like all my close friends, I want them to pursue their dreams and goals in life and to be all that they can be, and same goes for my characters in HOMELAND. They wish to see the world and touch the hearts of many with their tales of battle, struggle of feuds, tangles of romance, and the overshadowing secret holding everything together. Week 4 Class Reviews

Tuesday - Readings on Art

Today was an interesting day, to say the least, we had our first assessment which was a critical evaluation of a piece of text we had selected to read.  The reasoning behind this was to give the class an in-depth talk of the text and what it was about.  I found the task very good and informative and without having to read large text built a wider knowledge through this delegation of work.  I think I did ok with my presentation but when my tutor threw me a curve ball question I just could not make sense of I got myself in a bit of a fluster.

Wednesday - Guest speaker Stephen Downey - Parallel Arts Careers

There's not much to say about today only that Stephens sheer determination to get to where he has in his career is inspiring.  Stephen spoke about the process involved in getting a job and how the role of networking played a major role in his career.  I think his talk was interesting, inspiring and relevant to the photography sector in terms of networking.

Thursday - Today we had group tutorials to see how we are getting on with our studies and to raise any concerns.  Going into the tutorial I felt confident in the road I have taken with my research development and implementation of work.  However, after the tutorial, I felt I was giving mixed messages from the tutors.  The reason I think this happened was down to them not knowing the full thought process behind my project.  I think that unfortunately this tutorial raises more or an issue with what I was doing and resulted in my having to address my class lecturer to clarify whether the advice I was given was mixed right or indifferent. 

In the afternoon we had a guest speaker Martino Marangoni.  His work was interesting, and the way he delivered the talk was good.  Martino also had another speaker which I think worked really well as sometimes it helps to break up the talk keeping the audience interested.
