do people have any thoughts about post Lies Sleeping Lulu (goddess of the Walbrook)
like 'ol Faceless doesn't manage to kill her, so presumably she's still running her pub and being a river, but beyond that?
she's not appeared in any of the more recent books, and so far as I know she's not appeared in the comics at all (I've only read the first 3 comics), so it's not like we have any canon to draw from, so has anyone got any ideas?

Ok ok, I'm tired but here are some words anyway
I got to know these two through pictures. I never read any fics where Corazon is alive so he was the most mysterious out of all the characters I've wanted to "meet". Fan art told me a lot about who he was anyway, but some things are difficult to depict with an image. Like sound, for example. I had no clue at all what Cora's power was but as soon as it was revealed I just. knew. how he'd use it in the end. BWUAaaaaAH ok ok I'll save talking about the end for another time. The main thing is I fucking love Donquixote Corazon Rosinante. SO much. Personality and character design and story.
Baby Law, or tween Law maybe. Is he really supposed to be like 10-13 here? He looks like a baby. Anyway, he's fantastic. I love him, and now I love adult him even more because I understand his behavior. The best thing with childhood flashbacks for me is to see which characteristics seem to have been there throughout their life, both before and after the trauma they endure. That's a core feature. One core feature for Law is his way of being outwardly serious, calm and collected until someone behaves stupidly enough for him to snap and just lose his shit, and I love to see adult him act exactly like his baby self.
There are so many things to talk about that shape his personality and choices as an adult though, holy shit the meta material. Because the way all those carefully laid out threads of foreshadowing just knit together in these episodes, was perfect. The quote about weakness and death from Doffy, the conflicted feelings about the navy, the whole fucking Vergo thing, Cora reminding him he's a doctor's son and have many people to heal and ALL of that. Plus the new questions about the D and the implications of the immortality surgery and just...
I'm rambling
Anyway, another core feature of Law seems to be being carried around like a little bundle. No wonder he handled it so calmly in Dressrosa. He's got plenty of experience since way back. Maybe he's comfortable like that actually.

so um. i am NOT buying this game. from the little i saw i can already tell how much of an out-of-character cash grab it is. also, pricefield broke up. i am SO done with this shit. they really should’ve left Max and Chloe’s story (because it’s THEIR story dude this whole thing is so dumb) alone. this is not respecting both endings. r.i.p. Chloe Price you would’ve hated this

if I were Susato, my personal breaking point would have been getting back to Japan after being told my father was deathly ill and rushing to his bedside and then finding out he was never even sick. And that's not even the most brazen lie she gets told
That is so valid!!!!!! Personally, I think my relief at learning he wasn't dying (plus the fact that I could actually return to Britain and not be holed up in my home for the rest of my life) would have outweighed my anger, but 100% I would have lost it if
[ SUPER-MASSIVE DGS SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT ]
I LEARNT MY FATHER HAD BEEN LYING TO ME MY WHOLE LIFE????? Because that's the thing about Susato's story, right, it's not just the gravity of the lie (even though hey! what the fuck); it's the fact that every single man she's been close to growing up has been lying to her her entire life.
Her martial arts instructor turns out to be an enemy of the state; her father neglects to tell her... anything about what happened to him in Britain; and Kazuma, after inspiring her to dedicate her life to assisting him in court, doesn't even deem her worthy of the truth behind his goals. And it doesn't end there!
Sherlock Holmes -- her idol, the man she's been living with the entire time she's been in England, the man whom she cradled in her arms after he was shot and possibly whose life she saved by stemming his blood, the only person she trusted with the truth of her own actions before leaving -- straight up lies to her face about Kazuma's death. And he can't even find it in him to look at her as Ryuunosuke -- because she is denied even this -- forces him to explain himself. I. I don't know how she took it.
It's just. So much. And, I'm sorry, but if I found out that my father who ran away from my birth due to the grief of losing his wife (never mind that I, too, lost my mother and needed him) had the gall to help birth another baby and name her after my mother, I would have fucking lost it. I would have had a panic attack and then locked both him and his investigative partner who'd helped him propagate his lies in their once-shared flat and set the whole place on fire. I wouldn't have given a shit about what they had to say.
It's such a testament to her character and compassion that she looked at all that and decided to forgive. That she could see beyond herself to this other girl, who was lied to and hurt almost as much as she was, and say 'no more'. That she could look at Iris, the root and mirror of all her grief, and decide to love her. Not for her father, not for Iris's father, not even for herself, really, but for Iris. For Iris, she chooses to be kind.
She's just so, so kind and so, so amazing and so, so wonderful and everything happens to her!!!!!!!!!

"Have the indignities of your childhood not yet sufficiently been avenged?"
This damn quote from the teaser... I'm waiting on bated breath to know the rest of it. Mostly because when you hold onto anger over something others are unaware of, that can fester into something beyond your control until even you can't fathom your own reasons. At the time, yes, they made sense. As you get older, your resolve to defend your reasons weakens because time has picked away at your anger and life gave you more to worry about and be angry over.
Ask anyone who was wronged when they were under the age of 25, they fucking remember everything. It might not influence my actions, but it sure as hell serves as a reason for why I act the way I do. I can also acknowledge that if given the opportunity back then, I would have reacted in an unpleasant way. Now, I couldn't care less, but I'm still very aware of the "indignities" of my childhood.
Someone on Tiktok commented "It's getting harder to defend Aemond" and my immediate thought (and this is a personal one, not one that's a reflection of Aemond fans as a whole) is that I truthfully do not defend him. Luke's death? Yeah, hated that. Aemond's satisfaction after Rhaenys and Aegon? Yeah, SUPER dark. I don't defend Aemond. The part that I'm hung up on is that most, if not all, of these character developments could have been easily avoided, and as viewers, we clearly see where everything went wrong. I could scream at my TV for hours because of this.
Aemond's psychology is fascinating, and Ewan Mitchell openly said that Aemond has gone from morally gray to complete darkness. Daemon is the same - the only difference is the side they chose to stay loyal to, and ultimately, they're more loyal to themselves than anything else. The point of a morally gray character is that they're lawful neutrals - their mindset would not change regardless of the side they're on. The difference here is that now we wait to see if the gray characters finally lose any sense of a moral compass and omit reason.
I love morally gray characters and villains because they have a logical reason for basically anything, and it makes it difficult to argue. The man can be considered a full-blown villain now. I don't defend him, but I sure as hell haven't lost any reasons for him to be my favorite character.

Suddenly smacked in the face by the implication of Romeo's message where he says "I remember you, so there's no reason for us to fight. I suppose."
I always thought the wording was weird, but didn't think too much on it... Until recently after we discussed some datamined stuff in the Carmeo/Promeo server. There's a scrapped line (where P was supposed to speak) that says "I may not remember, but I'm still your son" during the NP fight, and while the scrapped lines are their own can of worms, let's focus on the memory parts.
I had always thought that once a puppet woke up, they would just get their memories back. But the fact seems to be this: There are select memories that come back to give bits and pieces of their past that "wake" them up-- cause them to change, as we see with P and the necklace; As we see from the spliced memories at the Black Seaside. However, it might not be all one's memories that come back. Whether those spaces stay blank or come back over time, who knows.
What I'm trying to get at here is...
Romeo's memories might only consist of Carlo at the time of waking. Carlo was what woke Romeo-- "I remember you"-- He had the necklace, he knew from who it was; He recognized the face P was modeled after. "So there's no reason for us to fight, I suppose"-- there's a lack of confidence in the wording here. Friends aren't supposed to fight, right? That's what his memory tells him, at least.
And the only memories P tends to get in regards to his past? Those in relation to Romeo, his aspirations, and of his own death. Seemingly, these are the things most important to him.
They were the most important people to each other; They remembered each other, just one too late than the other.

Mad At Yi Why Anon - Thanks for explaining! It makes more sense now lol. I never expected them to be grateful for being "saved," I'd just think it's certainly a choice for them to Most Mad at the only guy who wasn't going to let them rot. But if it's a "we need someone to blame" then that makes sense.
Even if he wasn’t gonna let them rot, he WAS gonna take them out with him had his True Ending Sacrifice gone as it had in the game. They don’t know this, this is just extra DoobYi characterization. But he wasn’t expecting to be alive, either tbh.
That said, he takes the public opinion of him and the Sols very seriously and doesn’t blame them even if sometimes the grievances are heavy-handed. This is a Yi who will apologize many times over for the actions of the council, for the failure of the project, for the lies and the lives ruined, both apemen and solarian, and for the individual hurts he’s caused to Kuafu, Goumang, Shaunshuan and Heng. If Eigong and many of the other Sols are not here to share the responsibility, then he will shoulder the blame, as he believes he should. Even if, y’know, everyone who IS glad he didn’t die is telling him to knock it off.

Okay, so some theories/HC/thoughts (no, they're not in order, just kinda rambling as I go on) now that I watched the trailer
Within the first few seconds, it looks like we're in that small village before we get to the cathedral and I'm assuming something happened to Sophia cause why else would a amulet associated with her send us back in time (I'm still not sure what time frame it is based purely on the mammoth museum and the fact P now has a gun for both his arm and blade)
I am a little curious about there being a possibly kitten Spring(? that is the cat's name that hangs around the hotel, yeah?) and possibly a busy Hotel Krat, so I'm wondering how old it is Spring(?) in the main game cause that should help with the time frame
The fact that there is a small family of foxes might mean we see the Fox Stalker as a kid later and the person in red might have been a inspiration to her (ie family member, the legendary Stalker herself (the one who was also a huge influence/inspiration for Carlo) or Lady Antonia)
The fact we still have Gemini with us is a bit interesting I seriously hope we have more lore for him cause while on our way to fight the black rabbit brotherhood again he said a very curious line that makes me think he might have a more serious role possibly leading up to Carlos death
The carnival is up and running, so maybe a few years before Carlo died?
The lady controlling that angel like puppet she might have the petrification disease or whatever cause the carcass infection, but it's in the very early stages cause she able to control that puppet very well like Geppetto did with the Nameless Puppet and she seems like a very interesting boss fight and she also has complete control over those blue strings and she might be a combination of Romeo and NPs boss fight but more unfair cause 2vs1 if we don't have a specter/ally with us
The one wing angel coming back wasn't on my list of enemies/bosses coming back (if that is him)
Ice like chamber then a switch to assumingly wax (?) Dripping onto a statue is a bit unnerving so I'm curious is there is a possible connection to the cathedral and whatever has the ice chamber area
The person in red (I'm not gonna assume shit till I hear them talk or they give some hint of who they are) doesn't seem to trust anyone, especially P but I mean fair enough but they're also carrying Gemini but he's off so I'm assuming they (the Stalker) might have been the one who sped up Carlos death or is trying to find a way to prevent it if they are the Stalker from Carlos memory on the beach
We get a few new weapons and arms (I so far see no lightweight/fast swords, but I could be wrong) like the bow and arrow, the wolverine like arm/blades, a whole lotta greatswords, a gunblade (it looks familiar but I'm forgetting where I've seen that one before) and a fucking shotgun arm I'm hoping we can carry over the weapons over to the main game cause it would be so cool to have some of them in boss fights
Why is there a shark and is it possible to be a Megalodon? Looks sick af though can't wait to get my ass handed to me by a fucking shark
The outfits are suiting, considering the conditions he looks so cute with that raccoon hat all nice and warm, and I'm hoping Alidoro was the one to give him the outfits cause the fur is nice for the snow but the black and red outfit slaps
Some final thoughts before I go to bed
I'm assuming it's set a few years (or days) before Carlo died (based purely on the line of not going to make it in time or something similar to it) we might meet the legendary Stalker herself there is surprisingly no Romeo I'm curious on how it's gonna end and speaking of endings which ending is this based off of or do we wait for the sequel to figure that out? Also, where's Dorothy like you can't hint her and then just forget about her (watch the legendary Stalker is Dorothy and somehow has time traveling abilities)
I sadly won't be able to play it when it comes out possibly due to me moving so I might be late to the party FYI
