Yes, he has done terrible shit, but he's had a terrible time, he has fans and family who care for him, all these things are true at the same time. What happened to his victim is tragic, but it is also tragic that his son will wake up without a dad tomorrow, and that he never got the chance to make up for the bad shit he's done.

i think what breaks my heart the most about liam is he always seemed genuinely surprised that people loved him. and he was always so fucking thankful for the kindness he had received from fans. like he was shocked that people enjoyed him, that people looked up to him, that people loved him. you could see it in all those videos and all those livestreams that he was always in awe that people wanted to see him.

it breaks my heart to see people saw one bad thing about him and take the opportunity to shit on him and say “i knew he was bad news” “i knew there was something off about him” blah blah blah. and i’m not talking the allegations. i’m talking about literally anything that was negative towards him. they forget that he and the boys were in a horrible situation, they forget what he went through, and they just shat on him because he was a little weird.

I know I’m ranting and no one probably cares but some of the tweets I saw defending Liam were so triggering and upsetting. Trending hashtags like #FreeLiam and #WeLoveYouLiam when a woman CONFIRMED that he abused her is just so sickening. This is why women don’t come forward. This is especially why victims of celebrities and people in power don’t come forward. Because this is how they’re treated. Maya literally even confirmed that Liam and his team have tried to silence her and didn’t want the book to come out. I just… there are no more words.

This whole situation is so triggering… I’m so angry and upset.

OMG! Are people really that dumb and insensitive?? Yes, we all are sad, we all are mourning over his death, but you just can't blame Maya Henry, his ex-fiancée and his victim, for his death. Remember he was a drug addict, an abuser. he abused Maya, making her life a nightmare when she was just 18/19 years old. His death was not her fault. It's possible to feel sad for the person he was and still hold him accountable for his actions. Saddest part is his victims may never get the justice they deserve.

Remember, you are grieving the 16 year-old boy from a band who was a big part of your childhood, not the man he became.

Speaking out against the bullying was difficult and I tried. If I said something I immediately got accused of supporting an abuser. The poor guy was found guilty by everyone under the sun and there was no stopping the hate train. But even before the Maya stuff the bullying over his dancing at Nialls show was so bad too. It genuinely surprised me how hateful people were. And actually really stupid if I'm honest because they just blindly followed what everyone was saying. I'm still so upset over how he was treated by everyone and I only saw a couple of people express regret by what they said about him. Most just deleted their videos or tweets and pretended it didn't happen.

A fascinating interview with Liam which was new to me (probably not for others) he really opens up to the interviewer about his childhood. He talks about experiencing nightmares because of Tommy's behaviour, about having anxiety as a child because of the constant feeling of dread he had about his dad. One of the most striking things he says is that as young as 6 he was aware that his dad's behaviour was not normal. Unlike Noel who tried to reason the abuse away by saying it was happening to all their mates too, Liam says he would be confused when he would go to friends houses and they weren't filled with tension and fear and their parents just sat around watching TV.
