I did not know this until yesterday, but the creator of the microchip technology that makes cell phones possible was Lynn Conway - who transitioned in 1968. She was fired by IBM for it but changed the world anyway. She passed just this week.

To the aroace community

I want to write a story with an aroace protagonist who does in fact feel love for other people but they are specifically familial and platonic bonds

These will be massive points in the story as things can only happen with the love and trust they have for each other, in fact the main character at one point literally trusts both of the others with their life to prove their love

But there will be nothing romantic or sexual and the character will not enter a relationship

I am so fucking tired of being invalidated for just being aromantic and (now) demiboy within the LGBTQIA+ community. Like yes, I appear to be your average Cishet man, but if you actually took the time to know me and understand the concept of aromanticism then maybe you’ll understand I am very much queer and a valid member of the community. I woke up an hour ago (around after 2 AM) to see comments from this video I made a few weeks ago and found more of these degrading comments. I’m just so fucking tired I can’t even deal with them.

Introducing: Cosmoveric, a xenogender identity associated with the universe itself

What Is Cosmoveric?

Cosmoveric is a xenogender strongly associated with the universe. It can be described as an identity wherein one feels connected through gender to the universe itself and all the things that exist within it, with a primary focus on celestial objects. Individuals may or may not experience a disconnect with Earth itself.

Cosmoveric may be used as an umbrella term for space-centric xenogenders. For example, an individual may identify as both Cosmoveric and Neptugender; this may mean that they feel connected with the entire universe, but they are the closely linked with Neptune and voids in particular.

All combinations are valid and accepted, even if they're contradictory. I don't intend to police identities, I'm only offering examples.

In my personal experience, I identify as both Cosmoveric and Boyflux. I consider myself disconnected from Earth, both physically and through gender expression, but I also identify with masculinity and genderless identities. I love space, and I've always felt a deep and personal connection to it, to the point that I even took on/accepted space related neopronouns (astra/astral currently) before I even knew that my love of the universe played a part in my gender identity.

Colour Meanings

yellow: a connection to all stars, the sun, & all moons sierra: a connection to humanity, the spacial origins of life on earth, & the expansion of the universe blush: a connection to galaxies, nebulae, supernovae, & quasars blue: a connection to deep space, asteroids, comets, & neutron stars navy blue: a connection to black holes, dark matter, & cosmic voids purple: a connection to the solar system, constellations, & extraterrestrial life light purple: a connection to planets, dwarf planets, & exoplanets deep purple: a connection to space travel, astronomy, & cosmology

Generally speaking, yellow represents starlight, pink represents star clusters, deep blue represents the unexplored & not understood regions of space (including theories), and purple represents human studies into the universe, the solar system, & space itself.

Entymology

Cosmoveric originates from the Ancient Greek terminology for the universe, referred to as the Cosmos. Part of the word universe, ver, is used along with the suffix -ic, meaning "of or pertaining to".

In summary, the word Cosmoveric means pertaining to the universe and/or the cosmos.

That time I kept a pronoun button for years without knowing what it was.

6 years ago, when I was at college, a booth at my University had buttons like these around . I did not know what it meant but I took it anyway because I thought it represented the University still and I loved being a student at my University.

Through out those 6 years I was still figuring out who I was as a person. I knew that I was queer but throughout my time being on the Internet, I eventually learned what Nonbinary meant and I realized that I identified myself as a Nonbinary person.

Last year, I was cleaning up my closet and I found this button. I decided to wear it around because not only They/Them is one set of pronouns that I by (I also go by He/Him and It/Its) but was, and still am working for the University that I attended.

This year I bought myself a coffin shaped backpack purse in which you can add pins and buttons to and this button has been on my backpack since. The fact that I kept this button without knowing what it meant just to learn what it meant and realizing that it expressed a part of me, is not only funny but amazing.

I don't know if the University is still making these buttons but I'm glad that not only I attended a college that accepted who I was but it's now the workplace that accepts me for who I am.

And yes, I always take this backpack with me to work.

My work denied my rides leave request for two days for my top surgery

I'm going to literally scream

I only have two other people who I can rely on

And it's just really annoying I can't have my fucking dad there with me like I wanted ://

Ngl I'm just feeling....stuck and a bit depressed now, like I kinda wanna just rot after looking at hotel + Airbnb prices PLUS not knowing if I even have a fucking ride currently

My point is that everyone of every race, religion, sexuality, class and gender belong at pride as long as you aren’t hatful.

This pride month please focus on the real enemies in this world which is governments and horrible people who are trying to strip us of our rights. It is not each other.

Pride doesn’t belong to the backwards thinking people outside or inside the community.

My final comment is that keep other prejudice out of pride. Racism, ablism and any other discrimination dont belong in the world let alone pride.

We need celebrate our differences in this world!! If there were no differences it would be a fuckin boring existence.
