Hey everyone! I wanted to tell you a little about the business my husband and I own 😊

It's called Ohio's Home, we make soap, candles, handmade woodwork home decor, and custom requests for scents (especially harder to find ones!)

We hand make everything from the tea lights to the soap to the coasters and so much more!

One of my favorite core soaps is Dude. A more masculine scent that reminds me of Old Spice and is literally neon orange. While the picture doesn't do it justice, trust me this baby almost glows even in regular lighting. (We say that it's perfect for a little bit darker shower and/or those that shower without their glasses on)

And what I believe to be more harder to find scents. Cranberry Rhubarb Preserves, it smells just like a fresh opened jar of jam and Fresh Fallen Leaves, which is harder to describe but definitely reminds me of taking a hike in the Fall.

And so, so many more! We currently have our Fall Collection and we'll be putting our Christmas Collection by the first week of November.

We launched about 6 months ago in April, but have been putting all of our hearts into it for almost 2 years now. We've done okay so far, though it's mostly been friends and family supporting us. I wanted to try my best to get the word out more about our products and store to hopefully get more new customers 🥰 I would absolutely love if you could check out the website and maybe buy something if it catches your fancy? AO3 IS IN TROUBLE IF CALIFORNIAN AGE VERIFICATION LAW PASSES

An upcoming Age verification bill centered in California will be voted on Monday-- And as always,instead of actually protecting kids, it will lead to more online censorship and privacy risks, as it will force websites hosting to verify their users age by sending their ID, your browser history would be linked to it. if you live California, call your reps and tell them to oppose the bill AB3080 as it highly unconstitutional.

They also deem LGBT content harmful to minors, as well as mentions of weapons and tobacco, putting them on the same level as NSFW content.

Since AO3 headquarters reside in California, much like Reddit, Twitter,Discord and Youtube (and others) who knows how bad the effects would be. Instead of just effecting Californians (even then its concerning.) the effects would be US or even worldwide. VPNs wont help.

I recall saying this before, but it bears repeating:

There could be a billion trans people in the world and it still wouldn't be a bad thing because being trans is not a bad thing. Even if the rate of people discovering they are trans is "disproportionate" to trends from decades ago, that is not a bad thing. In fact, it's a natural consequence for there being more trans people being able to stay alive, and, overall, being able to live in a slightly more tolerant world. You'd only see that as a bad thing if you actively didn't want trans people to either live or live a life that facilitates wellness.
