Why Lionel Luthor is the True Villain of Smallville:

Threatened to expose Clark's fake adoption records unless Jonathan Kent persuaded Pete Ross’s family to sell their factory to him.

Kidnapped Clark and put him in a vat of kryptonite solution to be studied in an attempt to discover his secrets.

Kept Clark trapped in a cage made of kryptonite in a separate incident.

Impregnated his dying wife's nurse while he was in a position of power over her as her boss, denied he was responsible, and had her locked away in a psychiatric ward for 7 years after taking her baby away from her. Lionel insured the child, Lucas, remained in poverty in the foster care system and prevented him from ever being adopted.

Forced the second woman he impregnated while married to Lillian, while in a position of power over her as her boss, to give their child to an orphanage where she was tortured. He soon found another home for Tess where she grew up in poverty and extreme physical abuse.

Forced his wife to have another baby despite her objections and was then dismissive of her postpartum depression. "I told you I didn't want any more children. I see how you treat Alexander, chipping away at his spirit."

Found a child, Davis Bloome, in a cornfield and believing him to be The Traveler, ran experiments on the boy until he realized he wasn't who he wanted and proceeded to dump him off alone on a dark Metropolis street.

Created a clone from a dead little girl, Emily Dinsmore, and locked her away in a lab, refusing to let her father ever see her again. "You can't take her away from me. She's my daughter." "She's the property of Luthorcorp."

Was such a terrible father to Lex that Lillian Luthor killed her infant son to spare him from the cruel and twisted parenting Lex endured from Lionel. Was such a horrible husband to Lillan that Lex took the blame for his baby brother's death knowing Lionel would have murdered her in retaliation.

Lied and told Lex that Lucas died in infancy, like Julian, knowing how much it would hurt Lex to hear.

Paid someone to kill Lucas once he became a potential threat to his power. Clark stopped the bullets, and Lionel had the shooter killed in police custody before he could talk.

Forced Lex's mother figure, Pamela Jenkins, out of Lex's life following the death of Lex's mother because he didn't want her to make Lex soft. Convinced Lex that Pamela never loved him and was only ever interested in their money. 

Blew up Chloe and Gabe Sullivan's safehouse in an attempt to kill them and prevent her from testifying against him at his murder trial. Hired a mutant hitman to kidnap and kill Chloe after she escaped the explosion.

Had Oliver Queen's parents killed in a plane crash leaving him orphaned at the age of 5.

Ordered the murder of Andrea Rojas’s mother who was an activist who worked for an organization that fought back against gangs, dealers, and large business corporations. In addition to losing her mother, Andrea was stabbed in the heart during the attack.

Resurrected a teenager, Adam Knight, to get close to Lana Lang and spy on Clark Kent. When Adam failed to retrieve useful information, Lionel refused to give him any more of the serum he required to stay live. As a result, Adam suffered immensely before dying of organ failure.

Resurrected Vince Davis who lived for a short, painful period of time before his body deteriorated without access to Lionel's serum.

Poisoned Lex with a lethal dosage that would've killed 99.9% of people.

Told Lex he loved him in prison only to persuade him into accepting his hand so he could use a Kryptonian stone to body swap them, leaving Lex to rot and die in prison in his place while Lionel escaped with Lex's body. Instead, Clark intervened and Lionel escaped inside of Clark's body, leaving Clark trapped to die in prison. Shortly after the bodyswap occured, Lionel looked down the front inside of his(Clark's) waistband while smiling to himself. While in Clark Kent's body, Lionel initiated a hug with Martha Kent where he was turned on to the point of shooting heat vision from his eyes. Lionel-in-Clark's body flirted with Chloe, a teenager, and was centimeters away from kissing her. And when Lionel-in-Clark's body encountered Lana, a teenager, he said to her, "A man would travel around the world to pluck your succulent fruit," and forced a kiss onto her, smiling to himself after she slapped him and ran away. Lionel proceeded to attack Lex, choking him, slamming his head against a desk, and demanding 57 million dollars using Clark's super strength. He then went to the Kent Farm and threw Jonathan across the room into the kitchen cabinets. Lionel told Clark he would murder Lex if he didn't cooperate with his demands.

Pretended to be blind. "Playing the handicapped card is low, even for you." "But I was able to see more clearly than ever. It's amazing what people try and get away with right in front of your eyes when they think you can't see."

Fired 2,500 Smallville citizens to force his son back under his control. When Lex attempted to organize an employee buyout of the factory, Lionel bought the Smallville Savings and Loan and threatened to foreclose on every employee's mortgage. When Lex continued to organize and fight to save everyone's jobs, Lionel threatened, "I'll bury you and everyone in Smallville who takes your side."

Blackmailed Smallville sheriff Ethan Millar into digging up dirt on every Lexcorp shareholder(Smallville factory workers), so Lionel could blackmail each one into selling their shares to him in order to take over Lex's fledgling company. In addition, Lionel threatened to expose the sheriff if he didn't do him various favors.

Once again tried blackmailing Jonathan Kent leading to a physical altercation between the two. Lionel fled the scene as Jonathan suffered a fatal heart attack.

Installed hidden cameras and microphones throughout Lex's office, so he could sabotage him and steal his business deals.

Took over Lex's company, which Lex had invested everything he had into, leaving him with nothing and immediately kicking him out of his home.

Insisted an ill-advised, life-threatening surgery be performed on Lex after he had been shot and wasn't stable enough for further surgery, making it clear he'd prefer a dead son over a physically disabled one.

Set Lex up for the murders of Dr. Teng and her entire team at Metron Labs after Lex refused to work for him.

Had sex with Lex's lover, Victoria Hardwick, while they were still sleeping together. 

Hired Dr. Helen Bryce to seduce and spy on Lex for him. Helen later attempted to murder Lex on their honeymoon.

Gave Martha Kent a watch engraved, "To Martha, with deep affection. L.L." while she was his employee and happily married to Jonathan Kent.

Refused to come clean about his past sexual involvement with Rachel Dunleavy and the existence of their son, Lucas, despite Lex being held hostage and his survival depending on Lionel telling the truth.

Refused to come clean about Level 3 when it would have saved the lives of a group of teenagers and his own son. 

Ignored and denied any care to his employee, Earl Jenkins, who was poisoned by kryptonite on the job which led to uncontrollable, dangerous seizures.

Created a deadly fear toxin for the military that leaked into Smallville.

Drugged, gaslit, attacked, and framed his son, orchestrating a scenario where everyone would believe Lex to be crazy after Lex discovered Lionel had his parents murdered for insurance money. Lionel had Lex committed to Belle Reve Sanitarium where he had Lex further drugged and put through electroshock therapy, forcing 600 volts of electricity through Lex's brain. When the doctor insisted they pause the procedure for Lex's safety, Lionel ignored the warning and demanded they continue. This brain frying could have easily destroyed Lex's mind, as it did for others who endured it, and ultimately wiped away months of Lex's memories, allowing Lionel to be off the hook for his parent's murders. Everyone involved in Lionel's plot, all loose ends, met untimely deaths.

Threatened, manipulated, controlled, hyper criticized, denied affection, and lied to Lex constantly. Lionel mentally, emotionally, and physically abused his child throughout his entire life, raising him to become a monster and then denying any accountability for what Lex became in the end.

Death Warrant!Au

When the rejuvenating, life-extending effects of ectoplasm to the dead and dying was discovered by planets across the stars, it triggered mass conflicts that left several systems obliterated beyond repair. Hundreds of Billions had migrated to the Realms in numbers that were never seen before by the residence of the dead. They had various forms of damage and disfigurement on their new forms as a result of the ectoplasm being weaponized and used on them. Their very beings were corrupted beyond repair with their minds significantly altered with highly specified obsessions.

• Peoples from the destroyed worlds being so afraid that they lashed out, ripping anything that saw them to pieces out of fear of being attacked.

A serpentine creature of the Realms eagerly stalking them and fed upon their cores to grow stronger.

• Soldiers of these races were hell-bent on continuing to fight and proceeded to attempt subjugate this dimension that was new to them. Their rage guiding them blindly as they left paths of destruction throughout the realm.

A beast, wrongly slaughtered in the early madness of an delicate fledgling world that happened to be rich with ectoplasm followed the warpath and basked in the rage.

Eventually, more creatures like them came to prominence as a result of these strange new victims. Being aspects of emotion that were born from the masses in the war.

The Ghost King during this time period could not sit idly by and watch these newly born ghosts run rampant and terrorize his kingdom. With a heavy heart and a weapon in hand, a call to arms was called and the purge of these beings began. It tooks thousands of years, but when the last corrupted ghost was destroyed, the King took to the realm of living and wiped away all traces of the Realms from the minds of the survivors with all recollections of this terrible war for ectoplasm erased from history.

As his rested his eyes one final time, before the Tyrant would cowardly claim his life, made a major, sacred declaration that all citizens was made:

• If any hostile, mutant ghosts were to be found, they were to captured and examined by the king's council to await judgement. If they are too dangerous to restrain and seek bloody violence, they are to be destroyed.

• Any scientists trying to use ectoplasm for endangering life were to be have their memories erased and put to the sword for their crimes.

• Anyone foolish enough to Defy Death using ectoplasm, the greatest violation of the laws in the infinite Realms, they were to be put to death as and immediately given their Second End.

When Pariah Dark, the Cowardly Tyrant King, is defeated and Danny fianlly takes the throne after a few centuries of training, the Observers hand him a compiled a list of names who violated these sacred laws.

They have him start with Earth and Danny's jaw hits the floor with what the charges he was seeing. He can already hear the chaos in the meeting room.

• Amanda Waller, Vandal Savage, Darkseid, Granny Goodness, a court of owls(?)...the list is long, and that's just Earth alone!

• Jack "The Goddamn Joker" Napier and a few of the more violent Rouges of Gotham are charged with Veil Destabilization.

Even Jason Peter Todd Wayne...the Red Hood!? Danny can probably work something with Jason, force him into therapy sessions (along with the whole damn family) with Jazz and a couple cleansing sessions and supplements from Frostbite...the others had to go...

The continued slaughter of the innocent, combined with the suffering they endured and the misery felt by Shades who couldn't move on was making the veil deteriorate at dangerous speeds. New pits would form across the city eventually as a result.

Lady Gotham has done everything she can to keep the madness from happening but she can't hold it back any longer. Her core is ready to shatter under the stress and is constantly in agony, but she won't abandon her knights, despite Danny's pleas to save herself.

There's a certain brigade of furry's who may or may not like this news but said brigade had no choice but to take it on the chin. They have children who Defied Death in their ranks and the Realms are not afraid to destroy anyone foolish enough to stop them.

• Lex Luther is charged with crimes against humanity. And several other violations in regards to unethical experimentation.

One sticks out to Danny.

Lex used Danny's stolen DNA from a stray core shard from the Guys in White, who he was was funding in secret, even after they were disbanded, to create a clone comprised of the Earth's resident Kryptonian, the bald bastard, and himself to kill and replace said Kryptonian...the guy who literally helps save the earth time and time again from doom.

...Yeah, Lex is undoubtedly, fucked beyond total comprehension. Anyone defending him was risking all-out war with the Infinite Realms.

But hey, at least Danny was finally having child of his own! The little tyke is only a few years old in the tube, Ellie's visits are far and in-between and Danny's status as a Halfa made him sterile and develop an embarrassingly strong case of baby fever.

He's sure the ghosts from Krypton would love to help out in raising Conner in case Kal-El wasn't really planning on being around the boy. After all, being cloned himself, Danny knows the emotional baggage that comes with being violated to this degree by your enemy.

He just hopes the guy can come around and accept the little guy...

I... have some questions.

It has already been established in this world that Kon was erased from existence essentially because he was not in this reality when it rebooted. The whole world rebooted without him, thus creating a history sans Superboy as he was on Gemworld during the reboot. If that is the case... then how can Kon's TTK possibly have been a generational project if he didn't exist in this world and how would Lex even know about it (because that detail did NOT happen in this world).

To make it 'right' and continuity friendly I would assume that we have the following going on;

1.) Sam Stryker existed in the pre AND post crisis Earth that Kon was originally born into and was rebooted multiple times as a prisoner.

and

2.) Lex retained his memories of Kon and who he is, had them restored, or acquired the relevant information of who he is and just deduced what is the most logical scenario.

which thus

3.) Kon still was not created in this reality, but all of the elements that made him exist.

Bonus:

We've seen what Kon's TTK can do when he's pissed off and it's delightful.

A honeymoon obviously wasn’t happening after the wedding, but Peyton and Lex took a few days off of work, officially, just for show. Lex used the plant’s delicate state as an excuse for them not to leave and jet off somewhere. And it wasn’t exactly a lie either. Now Peyton sat in a little office, more like a commandeered study, that she made for herself a few doors down from Lex’s office. It was convenient for when he had his own phone calls to make or an at-home meeting. At the moment, Lex was at the plant and she kept herself busy with finishing up some internal memos. Peyton drummed her fingers on her desk as the easy work allowed her mind to wander.

Chapter 4: Madhouse 

The seconds turn into minutes.

Minutes into hours.

Hours into days.

Days into a week.

Time continues and Lily feels like her world has stopped since that day. She hasn’t slept. She had ignored her phone and door. The only person she could bear to see at the moment was Jimmy. And that was because she could never tell him no. Jimmy would bring her lunch and he would sit with her, even if neither said anything,

After their lunches, Lily continued to spend the next few days trying to fight sleep. Her body had grown tired and the bags under her eyes would just darken daily. She knew it wasn’t healthy to live like this, so she contacted Perry to allow her to work from her home office for a while. 

“Take the time you need. James told me a bit more detail about what you went through… So yeah, take the time you need and work from home.”

What she didn’t tell Perry was that seeing Clark would hurt too much. Not to mention that Lois just wanted to see her to interview her for a news article. 

After deciding to work from home, Lily started focusing on her emotional well-being. She started going to the gym her apartment building had and burning up all her pent-up anger and pain. 

The burn of the running, lunges, weights, and everything in between helped her focus. Though she loved her position at the Daily Planet, she knew if she were to return everyone would treat her differently. She spent a couple of days clearing out her work email and preparing layouts for a few more articles before emailing Perry her resignation letter.

That same day Jimmy again came over to have lunch with her. He is gentle when he unlocks the door and steps in with the bags of food. “Okay, pity party is over today. Today we’re commencing Day 1 of the New Future.”

Lily got up from the couch and ran to hug him tightly. Galahad, Lily’s black Scottish fold, was sleeping by the door stretches and meowed up at Jimmy when he heard him come in. Galahad rubs against Jimmy’s leg and meows at him for attention.

“Oh, babe!” Jimmy hugs her in return. “It’s okay. I’m here. I’m real. I’ve got you.”

“I just can’t sleep, Jimmy… I… There are things I didn’t tell you about when I was under… It… There were other things I experienced.”

Jimmy’s brows furrow and he sits next to Lily. “Only talk about it if you want to and feel ready.”

“There were moments where it’s like I was locked up in an asylum… Like the one from Gotham… There would be endless hallways of me running and men in white coats, coats, getting so close, close. I would find an escape room only to end up back in that hallway saying my prayers, don't take me back there.”

Jimmy pulls her into a tight hug. “You’re here now. This is your reality. I won’t let anyone harm my best friend.”

Lily smiles. “You’re the best Jimmy Olsen. Too bad we both are too alike to be a real couple,” she teases. Lily removes her arms from Jimmy and helps him plate the food for them. “You got enough food to feed a small family.”

“That’s cuz I invented a couple more people.”

“James Bartholomew Olsen! Why would you do that? Who did you invite?” 

Jimmy gently pushes her to her room. “Go get dressed. Your boyfriend is coming.”

“Boyfriend!? What are you going on about Jimmy?”

“Luthor… He’s been calling the office every day for you. Nobody wants to talk to him so they all have me take the call.”

Lily groans. “I do have to return the suit to him.”

“Why don’t you wear your new sweatpants and vintage rock tee?”

Lily just rolls her eyes at Jimmy but goes to change. As she’s getting dressed, she hears Jimmy open the door and greet the other guests. Immediately, she recognizes Lex’s voice. However, Lily couldn’t fully identify the other two voices.

Once she’s done, she exits her room and heads to the kitchen. Before reaching the kitchen, she walks into Lex, who is exiting the guest bathroom. “Mr. Luthor.”

“What have I told you to call me?”

“Alexander.”

He shakes his head and smiles sadly down at her. “I’m sorry for what you went through. James explained it to me. How are you feeling?”

“You don’t have to apologize. You’re not the one that gave me the nightmare… I have that suit you let me borrow the other day.”

“You can keep it. It was a gift.”

Jimmy finds them in the hallway. “Chop chop. The food is getting cold. You lovebirds can catch up later.”

Lily can feel her cheeks flush deeply. “We’re not…”

“We’ll be right there,” Lex says simultaneously as Lily.

When they reach the dining room, Lily finally sees who the other two people are. One is a young female, about her age, and she immediately sits next to Lex. The other is one of Jimmy’s fellow photographer and crush, Amanda. 

During dinner, Lily can’t help but feel overwhelmed with too much conversation and stimulation, she sometimes lets her mind wander back to the dream life.

“Mercy… That’s not an appropriate question,” Lex's stern voice brings Lily back to the present. 

“I just wanted to know what was the reason for the fainting spell and sudden quitting of a lucrative job.”

Jimmy responds before Lily can. “I wonder why you’re so interested in what happened to Lils… It’s almost as if you had something to do with it and want to make sure she doesn’t know you had a hand in it.”

Lex looks over at Jimmy and then at Mercy. “Did you have anything to do with it?”

“You’re seriously going to believe people that you just met? I’ve been loyal to you and Luthor Corp since day 1.”

Before anyone else can say anything, there’s a knock at Lily’s door.

They all share a look before Lily stands and goes to open the door. To her surprise, Clark and Lois are standing there. “Hi cuz. We heard you were having a dinner party and wanted to join,” Lois says barging in.

Clark looks at Lily apologetically. 

Immediately, Jimmy and Lex are at Lily’s side, while she blocks Lois from entering further into the apartment. “I would suggest you leave my apartment now.”

“Well, it’s my father’s apart-”

“No. It’s mine. I own it. Now leave. You are not welcome here.”

“But we’re family. I came to make sure you’re fine.”

“More like you came to interview her,” Lex interjects, pointing at the notepad and not-so-discreet recorder.

Lois purses her lips and then smirks. “So you’re the one that she’s sleeping with now?”

Mercy and Lex immediately deny him sleeping with Lily. 

Lily sees red. “You know what Lois?” She lets out all her pent-up anger at her bully of a cousin and punches her. 

“WHAT THE HELL LILIAN??” Lois says clasping her nose.

“Lois. You and our family have never treated me as one of the family or as a friend. I’m the older one but everything I do is compared to you… Who copies me… Told everyone I'm a bitch, so I became it. Always had to put yourself above me.”

Lois is trying to swing back at Lily but Clark keeps holding her back.

“Leave my apartment now or I’ll hit you again. I was tryin' to be nice but nothing's getting through, so let me spell it out since you can’t spell or write to save your life: A-B-C-D-E, F-U and your mom and your sister and your job, and your broke-ass car and that shit you call art. Fuck you and your friends that I'll never see again. Everybody but your dog, you can all fuck off.” Her hands are shaking so much that she walks out to her apartment’s balcony to get fresh air. 

Jimmy makes quick work of opening the door and having Clark and Lois leave. “I will side with Lily on this. Leave and don’t come back either of you.” 

Lily is still calming down when Lex comes to join her on the balcony. “Lilian…”

“Just… Please. I want to be alone. I need to be alone.”

He nods but before leaving he places his jacket over her shoulders. “I know I have a history of being evil or untrustworthy, but know that I’ll always be there for you whenever you need me.”

Lily just nods and whispers a soft thank you. She waits until he leaves before she starts crying again. Jimmy rushes to her side and hugs her tightly. “I’m here. I’m here.” 

“I’m tired Jimmy. I’m done living in a madhouse of being someone’s second choice. The charity auction is my last day. You’re always more than welcome to come by anytime.” Lily returns the hug. “You truly are my favorite person, James.” 

Amanda clears her throat. “I called a cab for me.” 

“Amanda, before you leave, please tell me you’re free this Saturday to help me go dress shopping.” 

“Yes! I’ll even make it a mini photoshoot session.”

Jimmy just shakes his head. “The poor stores won’t know what hit them with you two causing trouble.”

After they finally say goodbye for the night, Lily gets to work on starting a website to start freelancing her graphic design services. Not long after, she falls asleep for the first time with a huge weight lifted off her chest.
