Book Club after I lunch, dunno when’s That it should be soon.
Also I’ve been asked if I plan to stream Tekken 8, the answer is Depends, Story Mode could be fun for one of these days, Ranked is a no, though, I don’t really want to interact with pretty much anyone when I’m playing fighting games ranked, I enjoy focusing and letting that be all that’s in my mind. I’m cool with showing replays of Ranked games, though, wins or losses, ‘cause then I don’t need to proper focus on playing and can just comment on it. Like a few replays before book club or something, while people join in, something like that.

GET READY FOR THE NEXT BATTLE!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Watched a playthrough of Tekken 8's story mode (cause my broke ass can't afford to play it myself gjdhg) and decided it was time to give my self insert a fresh new look! and it totally wasn't just to stave off the pain of the homie Yoshi having next to zero screentime or dialogue or prevalence come on man he's in every game so far let him speak 😭
Cecil hails from North America and runs a tiny repair shop out of her home to make ends meet. She can fix all kinds of stuff - electronics, toys, household appliances, and even prosthetics! She's also an avid gamer and once entered the King of Iron Fist tournament to fund her expensive hobby with the prize money. She didn't win but she DID get to see a certain masked swordsman in action and later got to fix his hand! and between then and now, they sort of...became a thing? yeah not sure exactly how that happened yet, I'm still working on a proper backstory. come back later gjdhgkg

RJ's Platinum Collection #10: Tekken 7
Tumblr media
Achieved on 9/6/2022 at 7:42 PM
I have always been a huge fan of the Tekken series. Something about how batshit insane this series is, and how it takes all of its crazy stuff completely seriously, appeals to me in a big way. Plus I love all of the characters, which is rare to say for a fighting game series. So I decided that Tekken 7 would make a good next platinum for me.
I can't even begin to explain Tekken's lore and story. You probably have to watch a YouTube video explaining it.
But anyway!
The first obvious step to get the Platinum is to first play through the game's story mode, including the Special Chapter you unlock after beating the regular story, which netted me ten trophies including some miscellaneous trophies I managed to get while playing the main story.
1/43: You Think You're Tougher Than Me? - Finished the Prologue of the main story.
2/43: Elegance At Its Purest - Triggered 10 screws.
3/43: Power Is Everything! - Dealt 10 power crushes.
4/43: Let's Do This! - Finished Chapter 1 of the main story.
5/43: There's Nowhere To Run. Give Up! - Dealt 10 homing attacks.
6/43: You Challenge Me?! - Finished Chapter 8 of the main story.
7/43: I Can't Accept This Fate - Finished Chapter 13 of the main story.
8/43: It's Time For You To Meet Your End! - Watched the Epilogue of the main story.
9/43: It's Just Business - Obtained a total of over 5,000,000 gold.
10/43: Master Of Iron Fist - Finished the Special Chapter of the Main Story.
Side note, the Special Chapter is extremely hard. It took me quite a bit of time to beat, so be warned.
Next up I decided to tackle the Character Episodes. These are short, one-fight mini stories, one for each of the game's roster of fighters. You only need to beat 10 of these Character Episodes to get the trophies, but I played all of them anyway just for fun.
11/43: I Demand To Know The Truth! - Finished three Character Episodes.
12/43: Lightning Of Fate - Finished 10 Character Episodes.
After doing this, I decided to play the game's Arcade Mode with several of my favorite characters for awhile. I managed to get a few more trophies while playing Arcade Mode, including the ones for beating Devil Kazumi and Akuma (yes, Akuma from Street Fighter is in this game) as the final boss of Arcade Mode.
13/43: You Fought Well - Achieved a great victory.
14/43: Fear My Wrath - Beat Devil Kazumi in an Arcade Battle or a Special Match in Treasure Battle.
15/43: Crushing Impact! - Performed a balcony-breaking move.
16/43: Don't Take It Personally - Achieved a perfect victory.
17/43: The Prosperous Inevitably Decline - Beat Akuma in an Arcade Battle or a Special Match in Treasure Battle.
From this point on I got a few trophies specifically using YouTube video guides to get them, because I wasn't sure how I would get them naturally. However, I also got more trophies that were natural by continuing to have fun in Arcade Mode and Treasure Battle.
18/43: Please Don't Tell My Father - Reached the deepest part of the Jungle Outpost stage.
19/43: Anger Of The Beast - Dealt an overall total of 1,000 damage while in Rage Mode.
20/43: I'll Kick Your Butt To Hell And Back! - Dealt 70+ damage in an air combo.
21/43: Instant Annihilation - Won three times consecutively in Treasure Battle.
22/43: Destructive Drive - Performed a floor-breaking move.
23/43: Stun Gun! - Snatched victory from the jaws of defeat 5 times with a Rage Art.
24/43: Going Somewhere? - Reached the bottom floor of the Forgotten Realm stage.
25/43: Just Relax, You Can Do It - Perform three 10-hit combos.
At this point I decided I would tackle Treasure Battle head-on. Treasure Battle is a special mode where you pick one character and play through an unending series of fights against other characters in order to win prizes in Treasure Boxes, with your character leveling up with each victory, with your opponents also getting stronger and stronger. I needed to keep going through Treasure Battle with my chosen (and favorite) character Lili until I got Lili all the way up to the rank of Warrior, and gotten at least fifty prizes from my battles. It took several hours of play, but I managed to level up Lili and become an excellent fighter.
26/43: This Should Be Fun - Got promoted to 1st Dan.
27/43: We Settle This Now! - Dealt 20 Rage Arts.
28/43: Cool! - Obtained 20 treasure boxes.
29/43: Overdrive! - Dealt 10 Rage Drives.
30/43: Sturdy And Indestructible - Blocked 5 Rage Arts.
31/43: Your Technique Is Impressive - Got promoted to Initiate.
32/43: Excellent - Obtained a total of over 10,000,000 gold.
33/43: Roar! (Nice Moves!) - Get promoted to Brawler.
34/43: Wow, I'm Pretty Strong! - Won three special matches in Treasure Battle.
35/43: I've Finally Found You - Obtained 50 treasure boxes.
36/43: Don't Hold Anything Back - Defeated 20 opponents of a higher rank.
37/43: Hot-Blooded Fighter - Got promoted to Warrior.
Next up were the trophies I was dreading....ONLINE BATTLES.
I like Tekken but I am not anywhere near good enough at the game to be a threat in Online. I'm basically a button masher. I only needed to fight in at least 10 games overall, but also while winning a ranked match, a player match, and a battle in a tournament. This took me an embarrassing amount of time. In fact, I only managed to get one of those wins because I sent my opponent a chat basically begging them to let me win for the trophy, and they were nice enough to agree.
Thank you internet stranger, you were very nice.
Anyway, I did eventually get all of the online trophies, and I promptly never touched that mode again.
38/43: Yeah! I Did It! - Won a ranked match online.
39/43: Not Bad - Won a player match online.
40/43: Okay! I'm Ready! - Won a battle in an online tournament.
41/43: Come And Get Some, I Dare You! - Fought 10 online battles.
And now I only had one more trophy to get, but it was the one I really wished I didn't have to. Basically, I needed to go into Practice Mode and use my character to beat up the other character until I had gotten 50,000 damage. This took me less than an hour but it was very boring. However, I got it, and then the much more satisfying platinum trophy!
42/43: No Pain, No Gain - Dealt 50,000 damage in Practice Mode.
43/43: I'll Get Everything Back! - Acquired all the trophies.
Tekken is one of the most fun fighting game franchises I've played. I definitely think everyone should play it. It may seem daunting, but Tekken is also very easy to platinum compared to games like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter.
Rating: 10/10

People talking about Tekken 8's final boss in Story Mode because it involves you fighting Kazuya again and again for like 8 rounds or so. And they're like, "That's so excessive!"
Bro, that shit was just like being a kid and acting out stories with fighting game characters, and I LOVED IT!
Some people didn't play Smash as a kid and set up stories where the final battle is just Green Roy and Green Samus having a final epic battle with Ganondorf. And after you win the three stock, you're like, "No... It's not epic enough. 5 stocks, and we're going from Brinstar's Depths to Final Destination! Let's do this!"

Annon-Guy: What would your idea of a good Fighting Game Story Mode be structured? How would you go about it im designing it?
So far, I think BlazBlue, Injustice and Mortal Kombat (9, X, 11 and 1) have the best fighting game story modes while incorporating the gameplay into the narative in my honest opinion. Even Tekken 8 appeared to takes notes and than some and I haven't even played the game yet!
While Guilty Gear Xrd (SIGN, Revelator, Rev 2) and StrIVe had a good story and fantastic cinematic presentation, it sadly loses points for having no gameplay. It says something when Arc System posted StrIVe's story mode on YouTube for people to watch if they didn't want the game. While the older Guilty Gear story modes are old fashioned, they still provide a good story on top of you ACTUALLY playing the fights out, no matter how ridiculous it may seem at points (like Axl Low being unable to jump due to overeating Jam's food... 😂).
As much as people have beef with some games for "not being interactive enough", there's such a thing as being "too interactive".
Let's put it this way, in the original Guilty Gear XX, story mode itself was a MAZE... and if you took the wrong route, you'd fight a super hard unkillable boss if you weren't careful.
Take my word for it... Reload and Accent Core hold your hand compared to the original "unpatched" GGXX. And that's STORY Mode... it's not even Mission mode, which the game is even MORE notorious for!
QTEs, button mashing sequences, stuff like Asura's Wrath... in my humble opinion all that interactivity is a bit overkill.
If a player wants to relax and enjoy the story, let them relax... don't make them jump through flaming hoops if they don't want to.
OPTIONS. That's what it boils down to.
OPTIONS... GIVE THE PLAYER OPTIONS TO CHOOSE TO FIGHT OR SKIP OR SAVE SOMEWHERE.
Let them experience the game their own way.
Even with Mortal Kombat 11, you can create a custom A.I. to fight the towers and story missions for you and just sit back and relax for that whole ordeal.
It doesn't always have to be a huge button mashing fest or super boss challenge or some twisted guessing game with random negative status effects thrown at you like snowballs from hell.
A little balance goes a long way, whether you specialize in action games, fighting games, or just want to sit and read like it's a Visual Novel (or in my case and preference, a comic book).
Soul Calibur 6 created the ingenious Mercenary System for precisely this reason... Hire Mercs to fight your battles for you... it makes things easy, lets you negotiate tougher challenges a bit, until you get what you came for. For tougher fights, you can prepare equipment ahead of time and strategize like it's an RPG.
When telling a story, the more options that story has, the better the experience.
And even if you want multiple "routes" to open up player creativity or just to hide a few secrets, there's ways to do that in a very structured manner.
Final Fantasy XV has multiple endings for its DLC, and the game lets you approach those in a very simple manner, you can even revisit some points easily based on where you last saved your game.
For more dramatic encounters, make it an "optional boss fight" with incentives if the player overcomes the challenge. Not that hard a concept to work out.
Capcom had some of the best rewards for defeating bosses in the past with their games, and such a thing would be no exception in games like Tekken as well. Even Darkstalkers.
But, like I said, some of the BEST stories come from games that don't think it's a fighting game at all... Libra of Souls in Soul Calibur 6 is a mode I will never stop lauding the praises of.
As a concept it is the true successor of the original Edge Master Mode from Soul Blade/Soul Edge, the very first Project Soul game.
I just think more fighting games need to be treated like RPGs, and more RPGs need to be treated like fighting games.

Tekken 8 Review
Released on January 26th this year, Tekken 8 was an early contender for my GOTY and still is, months later.
Let the record show that my following thoughts are more of a summation of my overall experience with the game as a fighting game casual. I love fighting games and the Tekken franchise, but I'm not a big fan of hopping into online matches and battling against others only to get washed. When it comes to fighting games, I look for how well they deliver on the single-player experience, or basically, every aspect of the game that doesn't involve hopping online and fighting against players out of my league. On that front...Tekken 8 is sensational. I'll try and make this quick.
Starting with the story mode, it's a vast improvement over Tekken 7. I enjoyed 7's story, but there are plenty of flaws for T7, including the narrator's grating, lifeless voice or how most of the cast in that game plays little to no role in the story. Characters like Paul, Law, Eddy Gordo, Xiaoyu, and too many others being relegated to the character episode section sucked. The character episode section was also a far cry from the franchise's typical arcade mode. One fight against one opponent with a cutscene playing afterward was mildly entertaining but a typical trademark of Tekken was the sometimes over-the-top, sometimes beautiful, always enjoyable arcade endings. Tekken 7 lacked notable arcade endings as well, but Tekken8 brings to the table a return of character episodes, though more closely aligned to a typical arcade mode. When it comes to telling a story in the story mode or through the mode that focuses on singular individuals, Tekken 8 blows 7 out of the water.
The story mode picks up 6 months after Tekken 7's ending, with Kazuya Mishima defeating his father, Heihachi, in combat and tossing him off a cliff as they have done to one another for years. Now, as Kazuya shifts gears to focus on war against the world, it's up to his son Jin Kazama to stop him and end the chaos that's been torturing the family lineage for generations. Throughout Jin's story, others have reclaimed more of a prominent role to assist either Jin or Kazuya, including Claudio, Xiaoyu, Lars, Lee, Asuka, Lili, and others to boot. With a fun cast of returning characters and new ones alike, Tekken 8 utilizes most of them well, as they don't feel like too much of an afterthought. The range of people you get to play throughout the story varies, which I appreciate. Some moments pop the hell out of me, such as the return of the final boss and main antagonist of Tekken 6, Azazel, of which many fans were not fans at the time, or the final battle between Jin and Kazuya themselves. Countless moments lead to scream-inducing, shirt-ripping bits of hype, most stemming from the father-son battles towards the end of the game. There's also the return of the Tekken force mode, implemented in such a wild way that I was grinning the whole time while beating up hordes of goons. As someone who played Tekken 4's force mode earlier this year, this mode washes 4's and was a lot more fun to play.
Tekken 8 is just an overall more fun game to play and one of the best fighting games I've had the pleasure to get my hands on in a minute. The presentation and graphics are outstanding, as the style enhancement is stark in opposition to Tekken 7. The story mode is better and more memorable, the character episodes and character endings are worth viewing, the actual gameplay itself is tight, the arcade quest (while personally not for me) is cute and offers even more content for those looking for more stuff to do besides going online, and the return of Tekken Ball? The game has reached almost all my standards of something I want in a fighting game, as a casual. With the release of more story content later this year and more characters besides Eddy, I cannot wait to consume more Tekken content. 4.5/5.

Thoughts on Tekken 8 demo (so far)
>I'm enjoying it so far. I already got that warrior rank by destroying everyone with my boy Jin Kazama. Also I am so glad Bandai Namco finally added vs CPU as an option (which they should've done years ago smh, but better now than never I guess). I always spent most of my time playing Soul Calibur 6 just playing as my favorite characters or customizations in the vs CPU mode. The vs CPU really does add replay value to the game (playing as your favorite characters, wanting to see your favorite characters's special intros with the other characters in the roster which is epic). Glad they're bringing back Tekken Ball as well. Oh maybe some more single player content would be great too (like idk bring back survival mode, time attack, or team battle).
>Still hoping Tekken 6 gets retconned (ex. jin got brainwashed by azazel like how nina got brainwashed by shrek in tekken 3) and Kazuya does not fucking die.(πーπ)
>I'm actually so happy Kazuya defeated Jin in the first chapter. Sure eventually of course at the end of the game Jin Kazama will get stronger and beat him in a rematch. But like...after watching every single mortal kombat villain (except Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung, and the bug bitch who killed Mileena) being pathetic jokes who get their asses kicked every 5 seconds. It's refreshing to me seeing Kazuya finally be a threat instead of being like Team Rocket or FANG from Street Fighter V's story mode. *shudders* (oh and also people on youtube comments won't complain about "jIn AlWaYs WiNs" because he lost to kaz here and he also lost to both hwoarang and miguel).
>can't put kazuya in the cute little flower booba shirt because no customization in demo. ( ╥ω╥ ) on the bright side, the main menu literally lets you stare at kazuya's sexy tits and sexy dilf body in general in multiple directions. beautiful.
>the arcade quest was neat too, at least the avatar characters are kind of cute (they are not ugly and shit as the stupid fucking Sportsmates from Nintendo Switch Sports who tried to replace the miis). I had fun kicking everyone's asses and I cheered when Kazuya won that tournament and kicked someone's ass.
>Jin's special intros with some characters like Xiaoyu are cute. Too bad you cannot fight Hwoarang in the demo so you cannot get his and Asuka has no special intro with him for some stupid reason.
>there's also some hope that maybe some of the side characters will be relevant in this game and get to shine (keyword maybe...knowing every game since tekken 6, they will probably drop the ball). it was neat seeing everyone joining the tournament in the intro chapter including lili, paul, and steve. i mean in tekken bloodline king gets to do some cool shit and paul was not a joke that time.
>Fighting and almost losing to Panda made me more upset Anna is not in this game come on now. I know Bandai Namco obviously lowkey hates Bruce Irvin because they replaced him twice now. First he was replaced by Bryan in Tekken 3 (don't worry Bryan ily problematic babygirl) and then Josie in Tekken 7. But man, why can't either of Kazuya's bodyguards be in this game or Tekken 7 at launch (although to be fair, Eddy is not in Tekken 8 either so). Fucking make Kuma an alternate costume of Panda, then BRING BACK ANNA! We gotta have both Nina and Anna, man! At least Kazuya still has the greedy coffee CEO lady Azucena by his side tho. She knows Kazuya will make her coffee sell more $$$ and Kazuya looks hot.
>So you can make your own ghost data now or something...okay.
>I adore the voice acting in this game so far, especially Isshin Chiba's amazing work as Jin Kazama as usual. I love listening to his voice, it's so badass and yet it's also a quality asmr voice. Masanori Shinohara also does wonders as Kazuya Mishima.
Still not too sure whether to buy this game or not (yet)...but I'm a little more optimistic now.

Opening Night Live kinda sucked
I'm back with one of these cause why the fuck not. Gamescom is another big show that Geoff Keighly hosts, where there's usually some cool stuff, but MAN. all of the games besides the ones I'm about to mention here didn't look appealing to me.
Also, I'll just start off with this. Geoff, you have got to get better security, my friend. How has a dude twice now got on stage and said something? Granted they were both harmless, but pattern recognition tells me something bad might happen soon.
Anyways, let's start off with the 1st hype thing, which was Tekken 8!
Tumblr media
Once again, I don't play fighting games, but honestly, this and Street Fighter 6 are VERY much tempting me too. They showed off a new mode called Arcade Quest, which seems to be making up for the idea that Tekken 8 is not being put in arcades, and honestly it looks great. That being said, we also have 32 character roster and 6 more were revealed. all of whom are returning. Yoshimitsu, Steve Fox, Sergei Dragonov, Leo, Shaheen and Kuma, who seems to take up some of Heihachi's move set. Honestly, I still think young Heihachi will at least be some form of DLC, cause with canon in that case, who gives a shit?
Honestly, given that so many of these characters are from Tekken 5 and 6, and Leroy Smith is coming back, I'm surprised they didn't include Lidia Sobieska, given how popular she seemed to be. Also still no Alisa, which kinda sucks up hey, I can have hope.
Tumblr media
Image Credit: @kittymiya (Commishion her if you can, her art is amazing)
Onward to Mortal Kombat 1, where we got 2 new characters announced, the returning Sindel and Shao Kahn, or in this case General Shao, as well as Kameo's for Motaro from MK3, and Shujinko, from Mortal Kombat Deception/Unchained.
Tumblr media
They did also announce a board game mode, which looks cool, but Mortal Kombat 1 feels like it might be a bit lacklustre, especially given that Tekken 8 and Street Fighter 6 are really packed with a bunch of game modes outside of the story mode. We'll see if they manage to pull it off, and I am looking forward to the story, but IDK I just feel like there might be not a lot there.
Tumblr media
Up next, anime in GranBlue Fantasy Relink. I honestly don't have much to say on this other than it looks cool, and I'll probably pick it up when I get the chance, cause I know nothing about GranBlue.
The other thing that I saw that I might be interested in was Wukong, which looks very cool! I might play it when it comes out, cause action games are fun.
Tumblr media
Anyways, on to the last thing, Hoyoverse showed up with a bunch of stuff, all of which I'm going to talk about.
First up, Genshin showed up with a trailer to promote the current update. I've finished the story that is currently in the game, and it's honestly really good, and I'll be writing about it for my main site soon! The big thing here though is that they announced a consort tour, which is awesome! I'm hoping to attend the one in London if I have enough money.
Tumblr media
Up next, they showed a trailer for Fu Xuan in Honkai Star Rail. I don't really have anything to say here, but I'm Star Rail still looks very cool!
The big thing I want to talk about personally is Zenless Zone Zero, which got another trailer to show off things they have been working on over the past year.
Tumblr media
They showed off 3 new areas they are working on adding to the game, a new hangout sorta mechanic where you're protag can hang out with different characters, as well as minigames and new mechanics, such as an offence and defence assist. I've been a big fan of Hoyo's games since Genshin really showed off what they can do, and I personally can't wait to see where this takes them.
Tumblr media
But yea. that's everything. Honestly, this is the 1st time in a while it feels like one of these shows by Geoff Keighley has not been worth it, which I guess is a good thing, but hopefully, some more cool stuff shows up at TGS, where it's gonna be pretty hard to disappoint me I think.
I'll probably show some work works in progress and also maybe talk about Bandai Namco later this week(cause where the fuck did all the anime properties go), but for now, have a good rest of your day. Bye!!

I'm getting back into Tekken 8 and I'm really enjoying it. Finally got a feel for every character and who I like. Highlights from the past couple of days:
Lili is way more fun than I thought she would be! Very slippery and evasive.
Lars is actually kinda cool? He feels kinda hard to control, but where most Tekken characters can feel pretty stiff and slow if you don't know what you're doing, Lars is the opposite. It's super easy to actually move around TOO much with him and get carried away and end up in a bad spot. I do feel like mastering him would be like mastering lightning, it makes me appreciate him a lot more. Always thought he looked kinda boring.
King still does not click for me. I think he's a cool character, but I would need to sit down and watch a dedicated guide to really make him work I think. And since there's only so much tekken knowledge my brain can handle per day, I'd rather focus that energy on a character I know I'll stick with.
Devil Jin is my favorite Mishima by a mile. He's got a lot of moves that let him close or create distance from the opponent very quickly. Honestly a solid contender for a main, although I don't particularly want to practice electrics over and over for my first main. Might keep him in mind if my current main doesn't live up to the hype.
Yoshimitsu is stupid fun and I love him. The sword pogo reigns supreme. Might pick him up as a pocket character. But I think I've figured out who my main is:
Eddy is so fuckin fun. I'm glad he's not as braindead as in T3 (the only other game in the series I've played), because it gives me more incentive to think a bit about my strategy. And Eddy's game plan seems really simple: dodge around, wait for an opening, get a (relatively low-risk) 50/50 setup off a quick move, and then win the 50/50. Or use back 4 (I call it THE BOOT) to force your way in. Oh and also he builds up a resource that gives him stronger handstand moves while he does all of that. Which lead to more low-risk, high reward situations. He's so cool and I am going to commit to him for now.
(Realizing now as I'm typing this, I haven't actually played Jun. Oops.)
And now that I've got a feel for these characters, I've actually started the story mode (I'm recording it for youtube as well, might link once it's done if anybody is interested) and it's very fun. Major T8 story spoilers below:
Kinda glad Zafina and Claudio died? I didn't want to play much of them. I mean I think they're neat characters and it's sad to see them go, but it's interesting to see Tekken go from this series where nobody stays dead to a series that can actually embrace the consequences of its own plot. Like, Heihachi didn't come back for T8, so I wouldn't be surprised if those two didn't come back for T9. I've only just gotten past the first True Devil Kazuya fight (that Azazel fight was NASTY btw, I had to retry that several times), so maybe there's more character deaths incoming. It's so wild to see this game take on the dynamic of a show like Walking Dead or Game of Thrones, no character feels truly safe. Hell, Kazuya could die at the end of this game for all I know. He definitely has it coming, if that is the case. It is absolutely wild to me that he beats Azazel though??? Like, that's the source of his power. That'd be like a paladin being able to 1v1 the god they get spells from.
Anyways now that I'm back on my tekken bullshit, I'm excited to play more. :D

Bruh. I'm playing the Tekken 8 demo, and the story mode starts with some of my least favorite shit in gaming.
Do not let me defeat a villain, and then reward me with a cutscene of my character getting his ass beat.
Kazuya is talking all this shit about weaklings and battle and wiping countries off the face of the earth and I'm just like "I caved your ass in thirty seconds ago who the fuck are you trying to fool"
It's supposed to make me want to defeat the boss, but it doesn't work because I just played DDR on his face lmao

If you’re a Tekken fan or a newcomer gearing up to step into the world of this iconic 3D fighting game series Tekken 8 Jin Kazama, you might be wondering where to start. Look no further – we’ve got the perfect recommendation for you: Jin Kazama.
Tekken 8’s Impressive Roster
First things first, let’s talk about the impressive roster in Tekken 8. With 32 fighters, the game offers a diverse set of characters, each with unique moves and styles. While many of these fighters are returning characters, all of them have received new moves thanks to the Heat system, making the gameplay even more dynamic and exciting.
Tekken 8 Jin Kazama Takes Center Stage
In the midst of this varied cast, Tekken 8 shines a spotlight on Jin Kazama, the series’ lead protagonist since Tekken 3. His character arc has been captivating players for years, and in Tekken 8, the cinematic story mode delves deep into Jin’s struggle with Kazuya and his own Devil Gene. Tekken 8 Jin Kazama This unique focus on the main sets apart from other fighting games.
Why Choose Jin Kazama?
You might be wondering why Jin is the recommended choice for both newcomers and seasoned players. Well, Tekken 8 Jin Kazama with Heihachi out of the picture and some of Devil Jin’s moves integrated into regular Jin, he and Kazuya have become the definitive Mishima archetypes in Tekken 8. Jin is versatile, capable of adapting to various play styles, making him an excellent starting point for anyone learning the ropes of the game.
Building Tekken Fundamentals with Tekken 8 Jin Kazama

The Mishima Trio: A Legacy of Strength
Jin, Kazuya, and Heihachi – the main members of the Mishima family – have consistently been powerful contenders in the Tekken series. While their learning curve and execution demands are higher than most, mastering them is often rewarding. In Tekken 8, it’s too early to predict the competitive meta, but history suggests that Mishima family members are rarely low-tier choices.

I’ve been playing the FUCK out of the Tekken 8 demo and let me tell you, this game is actually going to be amazing.
Assuming the netcode got fixed because if not, well…that’s a death sentence.
I’m really impressed with the ghost battles I’ve done and I definitely agree with the fact they’re much more challenging than the hardest AI available in the demo.
When the game does release all spoilers will be tagged for story mode and all that good stuff!
