All of the design polls are concluded, and here's what I came up with based on the results! "Cute" fashion turned out to be harder to figure out than I anticipated, so I hope this met the mark lol

I was originally going to run a name poll also but I wasn't sure if I'd get a decent amount of suggestions and didn't want to drag this out anymore, so I decided to name them myself.

So, introducing the caretaker of this garden...

They love chao for their versatile nature, and love to experiment with different ways of raising them. They also just think they're super cute and fun to play with!

how do you clone a fey? that's trick question; and fey love those!

@the-navistar-carol (<333) brought up a good point while I was talking about my changeling danny au with her -- Dani! How would she exist in this au? Danny's a changeling - a fae. How would Dani, a clone of him, be created? How do you make a fey? Not through any means that Vlad is doing; you can't make a fey through unnatural means, considering the Fair Folk are nature. And Vlad's not a fey himself -- he's a halfa, even if he could make a fey, it's not in his best interest too. He's a powerful ghost, but even the weakest fae can overpower the strongest ghost. He won't want a clone of Daniel to be more powerful than him.

(In a three tier hierarchy it goes Ancients -> Fae/Mythos -> Ghosts. They all live in the Infinite Realms, but on different Planes. The fae live above the Ghost Zone in the Fey Wild, while the Mythos live beside the Wilds or down in the ghost zone depending on where they are. Places like the Frozone, the Athens Acropolis, and other such large islands climb throughout all three Planes.)

(While Ghosts can travel into the Fey Wild, its generally advised against as the ectoplasm tends to manifest differently there due to close contact magic. It can make it rather disorientating for a ghost, and as human spirits, the Fae living there would jump them faster than they could blink. So unless you're willing to play mind games with 'steal thy name eat thy face' fae, most ghosts keep out of the way of the Wilds. Fey can travel down into the Ghost Zone, they just don't bother.)

That's of course, not taking into account if Vlad even knows Danny's a fae himself. Vlad doesn't ring me as someone who really cares much about ghost culture or the going ons of the GZ. He might be aware that fae exist, but the moment he realizes he can't use them for personal gain he just doesn't bother with them. The risk is greater than the reward, and he'd rather not get eaten. But lets assume he's aware by now that Danny is fey, and has to take that into account while cloning him.

So, how does Dani exist? Good question! Honestly; i'm not sure. She might not exist at all, or if she does, she's more halfa than fey. Vlad would need a lot of human dna and ectoplasm to balance out all that fae magic. He manages to steal DNA from Jack and Maddie to do it, and since Jack's fey ancestry is very dormant its much easier to use alongside Danny's DNA.

In turn, it results in a little girl whose more human-ghost hybrid than clone. With that little extra boost in fey magic making her not a fey, but still relatively powerful. Dani is less of a clone and more of a lab-grown little sister. It's a rather tedious, complex process that has Vlad tearing his hair out trying to figure out. But he does eventually figure it out.

Time for a headcanon from my CCCC AU

When Heart was an idfant, whom, for the uninformed, is like a small, mouthless version of Cameron (Whole) with the emotional capacity of a five year old, the love of a golden retriever, and the IQ of a flowerpot that are essentially baby versions of Heart + Mind's species in the AU, he had baby bird wings instead of his now vaguely pheasant and moth-like wings.

Idfant Mind was just as dumb as he was, but at the very least when Mind jumped off the side of a staircase he usually wouldn't do it again because, you know, it hurt.

But idfant Heart, having his fluffy little wings that needed training, would jump off of high objects, smack on the ground, then stand up and do it again until he would fly, which wouldn't happen for a much longer time.

Cameron thought that Heart was playing with like, a bean bag or something because he never heard a whine or a whimper (since idfants don't have mouths, they communicate through muffled whines and squeaks) and just left him be, but when he finally went to investigate he saw this broken beaten bruised (/ref) idiot who was convinced he could surely fly with tiny wings covered in down.

Cameron is very lucky that ids reach adulthood aged three, because there is no way those things would survive an entire human-length childhood. /j

Do you think Lilac (chao form or anthro form, doesn't matter) could have any innate abilities of her own that set her apart from others of her type? You know… aside from the whole "having an anthro form" thing, if that's even actually part of the Lilac canon

At this rate, I honestly might consider it canon, because I think it is adorable that Es and Silv get themselves a cute little daughter in such a way🥺🥺 It helps that I am certain they'd be incredibly loving and doting parents!

As for abilities, I am not so sure what Lilac can feasibly possess. I am far from an expert on Chao raising, but doesn't it heavily depend on what you put them in contact with throughout their life/lives, also for Chaos Chao? I figure Silver heavily focuses on her Flight speed, because he can fly as well! And Espio might prefer a focus on her Running stat, so that she can learn how to walk. They do try to give her some skills in the other stats as well, but they do have clear favourites. But as for Lilac's innate traits... I figure she's quite clever for a Chao. They appear to have a hidden Intelligence stat, and hers is very high! She's almost creepily intelligent when she's still a Chao and there's no hints of her becoming an anthro, Silver and Espio quickly concede. But I think any abilities she might possess only truly show up once she becomes an anthro, if she has any. I don't know; I'll give it some more thought! Do you have anything yourself that you think might be fitting for her? ^-^

Vi and Caitlyn? Their dynamic is ELECTRIC. You’ve got Vi, the rough-edged, fiercely loyal, scrappy brawler with a tender side that could wreck anyone emotionally, and Caitlyn, the sharp, principled, deeply empathetic enforcer with a heart of gold. The way their relationship is built on mutual respect and trust while navigating all the insane, tragic chaos around them? Literal chef's kiss. And not once do we get the tired, lazy "coming out" narrative or the "but what about the gays?" rhetoric. Their queerness isn’t the story—it’s just a beautifully natural part of who they are. And THAT is revolutionary.

And let’s not even stop there. This show handles gender like it’s been waiting for everyone else to catch up. Characters like Sevika, who could give you chills with her sheer badassery and gender-nonconforming energy, exist unapologetically without the narrative ever feeling the need to spoon-feed us explanations. It’s just there, woven seamlessly into the fabric of the world.

So many shows claim to want to "normalize" queer relationships or push the envelope, but Arcane has quietly dominated the space by just writing characters who feel authentic. Their struggles are about class, power, loyalty, trauma, not token representation or forced diversity. This show said, “We’re just going to make some of the most layered, compelling characters you’ve ever seen—and oh yeah, some of them are gay. Keep up.”

Like, the bar wasn’t just raised—it was launched into the stratosphere. What do you mean this level of representation isn’t the norm yet? Arcane said, “We’re not asking for permission to exist. We’re just existing.” And that? That is art.

Help save Bilal's family!

i want to talk about my friend Bilal @bilal-salah0. for over a year now, Bilal has been living in germany, trying to adjust to his new living situation in a foreign country, learning a new language and working full time. 

when the war started, he was far away from home and his family and has been living in daily fear for their lives ever since. 

being forced to work long hours and promoting his family’s fundraiser at the same time, he has taken on more responsibility than anyone ever should. still, he managed to raise money for their evacuation fund and helped take care of his family’s daily needs with the money he was making while working. 

in a cruel twist of fate, all of this got taken away in an instant. he lost his job and his apartment and even his residence permit. which means he is at danger of deportation from germany that could happen as soon as next week!

i have been in daily contact with Bilal for a while now and connected him with some of my friends in germany. together, we are trying our utmost to make sure he can stay in the country. anyone who knows german bureaucracy knows what kind of hell it is. but we won't give up.

without his job, he was forced to dip into the money of his family’s evacuation fund to cover their daily expenses like food and shelter. this meant he had to raise his goal from €70,000 to €100,000. this was not an easy decision for him to make, he even asked for my advice on whether or not to do it, because he did not want anyone to think he was scamming people. 

even in such a desperate situation, Bilal does not want to be seen as someone who would ever take advantage of people's generosity

his family is comprised of 18 members, 10 of them are adults and 8 are children under 16 years old, some of them newborns who were born amidst the chaos of war and displacement.
