Tumblr media
[ID: Black text fills the page, reading "As transgender athletes, we have been forced into silence over an issue that affects us personally: our participation in sports. There are some who believe that simply being transgender creates an unfair advantage, others who say that is not the case, and many who do not know what to think. While opinions are divided, what is a fact is that transgender athletes are being unfairly discriminated against through these bills. That is why throughout the summer, we are inviting everyone, regardless of your identity, to play sports with us at Let Trans Athletes Play events across the country." In the bottom right corner, a small illustrated femme person sits with a skateboard in their lap. End ID.]
Tumblr media
[ID: Black all-caps text covers the top half of the page. It is a quote from QYA volunteer and athlete Xander Grey, who uses he/him pronouns. Text reads "I've been told I can't compete because I refuse to wear a female swimsuit. It would be amazing to be a part of a community that celebrates and uplifts me rather than refuses to let me compete. I've been so many firsts in my community and I hate having all that pressure put on me. For once, I'd like to be a part of a bigger first." In the bottom left corner, three people of varying heights, races, and clothing face each other. One is using a wheelchair, while the other two stand. Two people hold sports equipment. End ID.]

Smaller black text below "host an event" reads "We're looking for organizers and organizations to host Let Trans Athletes Play events across the country this summer! Visit our website (queeryouthassemble.org) to learn how," and text below "attend an event" reads "Regardless of if you're an athlete, non-athlete, transgender, or cisgender, we encourage you to attend an event near you. There's something for everyone, regardless of athletic ability!" End ID.]
Tumblr media
[ID: Black all-caps text covers the top half of the page. It is a quote from QYA art consultant and former athlete Jesse Young-Paulson, who uses they/he pronouns. Text reads "Even considering the competitive nature of the games, being able to see other people like me on the field was a moment of radical inclusion and visibility—the type of visibility where you don’t feel hypervisible, but seen for yourself and part of a queer sports community." At the bottom of the page are five people, of diverse heights, races, and clothing. One person has visible top surgery scars, and holds a ball. Another person holds a progress pride flag. End ID.]

Here's one last political post because I have over 3k followers and I really think this is an extremely important message to spread around so PLEASE REBLOG but
Y'all... Do realize we can start petitions to fire the people in the supreme courts and all these legislators that are banning abortion and trans rights as well as erasing black and native history.... Right?
I see y'all talking about it .... But y'all don't actually do anything about it. Why not go directly for their jobs? Take they jobs!
I've been emailing legislators regularly telling them they're shit heads for passing these bills but they don't want to listen to one single fat trans man so why don't we start a petition to remove them?
A petition to reverse abortion bans in Florida recently got ONE MILLION SIGNATURES. THATS... UNHEARD OF.
and guess what? The bill is being challenged by legislatiors in FL.
I promise I won't make anymore political posts, I just... Think it's important we all know that we can take these mfs jobs.
It's good to talk about it but just talking about it doesn't do anything to stop these fascist bills. Tumblr queers work your magic with me, maybe we can get the Trever project on board?

i keep seeing posts comparing the gay moral panic of the past to the current trans moral panic and I do get where they're coming from but like. as somebody who still lives with fundamentalist evangelical Christians, there is no real differentiation. like at all. fundamentalist Christians still hate gay people just as much as they did, they just now know the terminology to hate trans people in the exact same way. they didn't shift targets, they added more. they are not fine with gay people now that they hate trans people. is it more palatable for more people to hate trans people? yes, because society has gotten better faster about gay people than trans people, and that's why they're being so loud about trans people right now, because more people outside of their in-group find it acceptable. but the ones starting the "protect the children" bullshit and calling trans people groomers are saying the exact same things about gay people, and they have been the whole time, and they have never stopped. they always hated trans people, but now they know the words to make that clear. do not let them convince you they only hate trans people. they hate you, too. they want you gone, too. don't let them separate us.

In the blink of an eye Pigsy and Tang receive news that rock them to their very core and make them question everything about themselves-- but they aren't alone like they were with MK so everything will be fine..
...Hopefully.

Full sketchbook page of younger Constant doodles. I am rotating this OC like never before
#truly what inspired this was finding what they were called before#because they were not always constant! they picked that out as a family tradition#the tiefling thing of having virtue names#i made it into 'around coming of age some cultures of tieflings will change their names to a quality they want to embody'#constant's mom is named passion for example#you could find a mystery or a dashing or a quiet or a resolute#how common that is varies by region and it's tied to specific cultures among tieflings#all the tieflings you see in bg3 have tiefling names and not a single virtue name in there#but constant's mom comes from a family that does it#and constant wanted to as well. they felt it was a good coming of age custom#they picked constant for steadfastness. predictability. regularity. dependability. constancy!#and because they wanted it to be a name name as well since their dad isn't from that tradition#and so having their birth name lets me kind of see who they used to be. well it's the same guy! but they're not constant Yet#they haven't committed to this specific way of living yet#they were almost curiosity. or insight maybe. something like that (in universe. me the creator i never considered anything else seriously)#but they wanted to be there for people more than to focus on discovering things#and their curiosity is so very regular it works with being reliable honestly#you know they'll touch that button and go check the weird book out and lick the spider and drink the potion. you plan for it#by the end of the adventure their companions see some strange little mystery and go 'constant. please don't touch that' by reflex#but yeah it's made me think of baby constant-who-wasn't-constant-yet#i feel weird putting the name out cause it's not a deadname but it kind of is?#they're not that kid anymore in the tiefling tradition way and in the trans way. but also they were that kid in both ways once again#anyway. my darling. constant crestridge. they didn't make it alliterative on purpose btw it just happened#wow i have an ocs tag now#bg3

So please correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Alias ever really talked about how awful the whole doubling process would be? Like, the actual process itself would probably be pretty painful, sure, but remember going through puberty and having your body adjust to all that? Except this time your entire DNA is being changed. But not your brain, apparently. (WHICH, while I'm rambling, according to this report, you 100% can identify different brains from each other. In Alias, however, they say you can only tell if someone's a double through their eyes, which means that the person's actual brain is also changed, so I guess Alias just casually tried to tell us that souls or something of that ilk do, in fact, exist, and then never mentioned that again)
Which puts us in a very unique position! Because your brain's shape is now different, it's literal dna is different, and that does affect you as a person, except no?? It doesn't effect the doubles? As far as we see they're the same person. Ignoring the way more fun option of this does effect the doubles and maybe they start to show traits that the original had which would've been SO much fun but whatever, let's just say that your brain shape/makeup doesn't matter. Everything you do, everything that makes you you comes from something else. Your soul, your spirit, Rambaldi controlling you like a video game character, whatever.
This would make being a double really, really suck. Because your consciousness just got poured into this new body, essentially, which means that you have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA HOW TO USE IT. The proportions are just wrong, first of all. Maybe the original's legs are a little longer. Now you have to walk up a flight of stairs, and not only are their legs longer, maybe they're a little thicker. Maybe they have a bad knee that you never knew about. Maybe they work out a lot and their legs are way stronger than yours were. Even if you guys were exactly the same height and lived exactly the same way, you would still have fundamentally different legs.
But for the sake of argument let's give them the benefit of the doubt and say okay, so maybe you still have your soul/consciousness/whatever, but that just contains your memory and personality and what not. All of the physical aspects are controlled by your brain, which should be suited to your body either way because that's how the process works. (Disclaimer: I am not a scientist and have no idea what I'm talking about) Okay, fine. That's fair. Except...even if your brain can move your legs perfectly, wouldn't it still be terrifying to remember that this isn't how they normally move? Your body might be perfectly functional, but your mind still wouldn't be used to functioning it.
(And this is all very sudden, too! I mentioned puberty earlier, but that is something that a) still takes place in your own body, with your own brain. It's hormones changing, not DNA. And b) might come faster for some people, but you know, generally takes a little longer than a couple-hour long surgery)
Also if we were to go that route, what would happen if the original person say, had some mental condition? That's a brain thing, not a soul thing. Your physical brain is now the same as theirs, so would you inherit that too?
In conclusion: local idiot rambles about how Allison should've misjudged a step and fallen down a flight of stairs and gotten adhd from Francie.

transphobia is a disease | education is the cure
I go through cycles of making exclusively queer art. It's like a pull, I drop everything else I'm doing and Embrodier pieces designed for queer acceptance. I've been out since 2018, I've been on T since 2020, and hopefully by 2024 I'll have top surgery. I think a lot about transphobia, whereas the bubble I live and work in is accepting, I worry about the safety of my fellow trans siblings. I also worry about the youth who have to navigate hostile homes, schools and other hostile places. Transphobia has always been a disease, TERFs have been a disease, and even "gender criticals" are a disease too. Hate is a disease and maybe these pieces of embroidery aren't the most radical thing in the world, but it's the only way I can create something for my community. Some tangible that they can pin to themselves. So I guess there's that.
As a final message, I think TERFs and transphobes have hurt more children than any person in the trans community. I'd rather a child change their name and pronouns a hundred times then be dead. Because transphobia kills. So piss off TERFs and other radfems.

Nothing will make you reconsider queerness them being a queer adult and hearing that a child has died. I made it out of high school, I lived, I live in a state where my rights aren't being threatened yet, I'm safe, comparatively, I'm alive.
There is something so unapologetic about being a queer youth. As an adult, on some level, you have to place nice with social norms, I have to tone down my makeup for work, and my outfits in a professional setting, and my hair for a job, but as a kid, there's something more aggressive, more resistant about queerness yet.
And yes, that can make baby gays seem "crings" but that is because they haven't been shed out of their individuality.
So yeah, sometimes they say dumb shit, they're kids, we all say dumb shit, even and especially adults.
Just let the kids be kids, let them be annoying and outspoken and weird. It is a privilege to grow old, you don't get to shame those who might not even get that.

My heart hurts. Not physically, but emotionally. I don't like the news, I tend to avoid actively searching it out, for that exact reason. I ache because as people we just can't seem to get along. Learn to compromise and fully try to understand the other side. It's exhausting to understand why people are against certain things, even when it's the opposite of what I personally believe in.

hi b/apo friends. don't want this getting in the tags as i am so so scaresicles. but i went into the tags bc i haven't been there in a quick sec and uh.
i doubt that they'll be a staple of the community but it should be good for u to know that they were highlighted by shinigami eyes, and and that this is a terf. (likely bc they reblogged this post from another terf. and idk abt you but rbing a post claiming that transactivists are erasing gay history and then not only adding onto it, but also not disputing that itty bitty little part... yeah <3)
scrolling thru their blog a bit (w/ shinigami eyes) will show that they follow a few other terfs. it will also show u that they rb and agree w shit like this and this (which isn't transphobic but uh... still wild). anyway. hope ur having a good day friends.
