Another complaint: Get rid of this ridiculous twitter-esque sidebar. Put the dashboard back the way it was. I do not want this. It is too cramped, and I miss the icons up in the corner. Stop trying to turn this into twitter. Stop trying to turn this into tiktok. This is tumblr and we like it the way it was.

I saw a post that staff are considering using mp4 instead of gifs. Please don't do that. Gifs are awesome. What about a feature where the user can decide if gifs load automatically or not? Like mobile has. But instead of being tied to whether you're on wi-fi, you can just choose to have things like "only allow automatic loading from users you choose" or "don't allow gifs to load unless I click on them" or "allow all gifs to load".

Also, I will not pay you to get rid of ads. Ever. Even if I had the money to, I wouldn't. Of course I don't really have the money anyway, for anything really. But if you say "oh you want us to get rid of the ads? you have to pay for that" I won't. Ads should never be forced on anyone in the first place. They should always be opt-in.

And please undo the porn ban. It didn't stop the porn bots. It just did serious damage to tumblr. Multiple communities. I like where things are going with community labels "you can post some things if you label them appropriately". Because it feels like maybe you're testing the waters to see if you can bring things back fully? I really hope so. Like if users affirm their age when signing up, and they use community labels, why can't they post porn? Art, pictures, videos. Go nuts, show nuts, whatever, remember? Please.

Very bizarre to me when furries specifically are like "omg you draw [x]?!? You must be a real life pedophile/rapist/abuser!!!" considering that the general perception of furries has only very recently moved away from assuming that anyone who draws wolf dick is deeply mentally unwell and/or wants to actually in real life fuck their real living dog. Like, being a furry used to be genuinely synonymous with being into real life beastiality to many people outside the furry scene. No clue why I would think that would give people a little bit of clarity on the topic
