Aegon is very protective of Daeron, in a way, cause Daeron doesn't age in his mind, Daeron could be 3 times his size and he'd still just be a little baby in his mind. Aegon's also not great at being a good big brother in the traditional sense, but in the clumsy, sometimes counterproductive, borderline concerning way. they're fine (when Aegon's being particularly broody, Daeron's like one of those kids holding an 🆘 sign against the window on the highway, he needs protection from the overprotective and frankly nonsensical mother henning)

for example, if Daeron had been at the Driftmark petition, Aegon would have grabbed his whole head like a helicopter mom trying to cover his eyes and ears at the same time, almost instantaneously. was he himself too dissociated to tell what was happening? maybe. did that stop the protective big brother instinct from activating? no, no not at all (he was smothering him, Helaena had to tug his arm away so Daeron could breathe)

another example. Daeron asked to go to a brothel, which should have been right up Aegon's alley, but instead he gasped, mouth covered and all, before scolding him. he knows his logic about which siblings are allowed to do what makes no sense. it doesn't matter. Daeron's just a little guy and doesn't belong in a whore house.

Aegon feels like he's going to stroke out watching Daeron on Tessarion, cause they're nimble and young and wild. he and sunfyre are no better, he's just dramatic.

one night when the siblings ran off to flea bottom, Daeron showed some of his zest when someone tried to hassle Helaena. he called them a cunt. Aegon gasped, covered his mouth, then Daeron's, told him to wash his mouth out, before continuing to cuss the person who started it all.

as they traverse through flea bottom, he keeps tugging Daeron close and covering his eyes to shield him from the profane. Daeron tried to argue that he had taken Aemond and Helaena to silk Street when they were younger than him and that he didn't shield there eyes, but he's quickly hushed.

will show something along the lines of "how dare you do/say/etc. such a thing in front of my sweet sweet baby brother" at the most random things.

anyway. my point is simple; Aegon being an overbearing and mushy big brother to his baby brother, who is an overly affectionate drunk, and mother hen's his brother to death, is the only agenda to be had.

Thinking about Illario again. Illario has been through a lot. Just as much as Lucanis. He lost his parents at a young age, as well as aunts, uncles, maybe even a sibling. He was raised just as isolated and friendless, and was tortured and neglected as much as Lucanis. Illario is very familiar with grief and loneliness.

And Illario knows Lucanis is going to die soon. They both might, they're Crows, after all, but Lucanis has just... accepted it. He seems to almost want it. He refuses to take any step to prevent or delay that fate. He will never decline dangerous jobs, will never quit, and he will, however reluctantly, accept a position that they both know will place a huge target on his back.

And Illario has to live every day knowing that one of his only two remaining family members, and the only person who actually cares about and loves him, the only person Illario really even likes let alone loves, is going to die. Any day now. He has to think about it on every job they do, every day they continue to be who they are; the only surviving Dellamorte heirs. He has to think about all the loss and grief he's been through, and know that the worst is yet to come. Not that he didn't love his parents, but he was young, and it was so long ago. Losing Lucanis, who he loves, who he's known and loved for like 30 years, will be the worst thing he's ever had to experience and he has to know it.

Have you ever known you're about to lose somebody close to you? Have you ever had to wake up every day with the thought that this could be their last haunting your every waking hour? Have you ever found yourself wishing, even if only in the deepest farthest back part of your thoughts, that they would just die already because you can't take another day of worrying and waiting? I have. Anticipatory grief is hell.

And I think that's where Illario is at with Lucanis. Every day is like that, watching Lucanis tightrope along the edge of death and just waiting for the worst day of his life. Illario doesn't want Lucanis dead, not really. (Even if the thought "I'd be First Talon if you weren't here" has crossed his mind.) He loves Lucanis. But Lucanis is going to die anyways, so he might as well just get it over with. Lucanis himself said his calling is death, and Illario's is First Talon. You could, in a twisted way, argue that this is what Lucanis would have wanted.

Illario has faced loss before and come out the other side, so once Lucanis is gone it'll hurt, but he'll be able to start moving on. And Illario will get what he's always wanted: he'll have proven he's the better Crow, he'll be the favourite (by default), and he'll be First Talon, like he wanted. So he'll be fine. Everything will be fine.

Shen Jiu has been through hell and back, and god does it feel that way, with the thrumming energy in his body, his twisted stopped up veins, that hollow pit that clenches in his stomach no matter how he fills it, sometimes unable to eat because of it. But he has learned to not show it, never show an inkling of weakness, any crack in the facade of strength and power and you’re whole life will be over.

He would have no one to pick up the pieces if he breaks, sure, Qi-ge is technically near, but he knows he won’t come when it’s important, he knows he won’t even try. so he’s learnt to string himself back together, to hold these broken pieces of a person together by his own version of strength.

But there are little tells.. no matter how he tries. His brothel jiejies have to wake him up often, telling him the grinding of his jaw is too loud, to relax, he’s not on that mountain, or in that manor, or with that man. His tongue has been pressed up against his teeth too hard, too many times, clamped down on, bitten, it’s scalloped, serrated. His cultivation does not see it as an injury, and will not heal it(but when has his body listened to his wants, anyway?) Some nights, when even getting up to go to the courtesans is too hard, when he cannot stop the trembling, the reminder of every little way he has failed and been failed, he has to pile high the blankets and anything around him, somehow weight on his chest alleviates the pressure, ironically.

Shen Qingqiu is the peerless and untouchable immortal, lofty and beyond all earthly matters, but if you really looked hard enough, you would see the tells, the little bits of that boy named nine tucked away, but not forgotten.

Ben seemed to have been the one to struggle most at being seperated by the camp fam.

Like, it seems like the campers are the only community Ben’s had that made him feel safe. His anxiety and paranoia seems to calm down as he becomes surrounded by them.

At the start of Camp Cretaceous he didn’t have any support group and spoke out about even his mum not accepting the way he is by forcing him to go to camp. Then he joins these five other kids and even though he doesn’t match their “normal”, they’re quick to include him and befriend him.

They just except him they way his is🥰

I hope they stay together better in the future🥺

My favourite fantasy lately is Kuya kidnapping Eiden and bringing him to a house in the woods to punish him for endangering himself during some adventure. Kuya keeps Eiden in bondage and constantly on edge, teasing and denying him. And Eiden just takes it without asking to be let out, allowing Kuya to vent his fear and frustration, because he's nice like that.

But, at some point, even the strongest little soldiers break, and just when Eiden is about to shatter from all the stress and Kuya's oppressive anxiety, Quincy comes for the rescue. He's the only one who managed to find that little wooden shack in the middle of nowhere (you know, because Kuya's allowed him to), and he comes in and persuades Kuya to relent.

Kuya hasn't even given Eiden any dick in all the (three? four?) days they've been at it, so serious he was about the discipline aspect!

Eiden cries when Kuya finally fucks him, and Quincy makes him spill

i would not be surprised if kuya went full speed into an evil edging hostage situation because he doesn't know how to process eiden's mortality

thinking about todd and his resolve toward… not quite isolation, but being alone in a room full of people again. he goes along to the study room to sit on his own and do his homework, he sits at the poets table and follows along with what’s being said while keeping quiet, he goes to the meetings at all but doesn’t necessarily contribute (in fact, if you watch him when cameron is telling the story ‘from camp in sixth grade’, you can see that he recognizes it before any of the other poets but doesn’t voice it until they all have). he’s not alone, necessarily, if you want to get technical about it, he’s just lonely, and he’s generally okay with that. he doesn’t have friends and that’s fine, he doesn’t participate in class and that’s fine, he doesn’t have a relationship with his family and that’s fine—he could live without any real connection and he’d have been, more or less, fine.

the thing about when he says “i can take care of myself just fine!” is that he isn’t really wrong, you can infer that he’s been doing it his entire life anyway, it’s that ‘taking care of yourself’ isn’t the same thing as really living or being happy. todd’s an introvert, certainly, and even as he gets closer to the group he defaults to sitting quietly in the background, but he’s also denying himself community out of fear not introversion. todd isn’t friendless because he’s an introvert, although that definitely plays a part, he’s friendless because he pushes anyone that might want his company away. if anyone has every wanted for his attention in the first place. (neil’s unwavering interest in him is unique (even when it comes to the rest of the poets, who are fine with todd coming along and joining the group, but aren’t really hellbent on him being there in the beginning) and his refusal to accept it is a direct result of being so lonely growing up.)

there’s obviously something to be said about the implications of his parents neglect, and the more than likely fact that he grew up friendless, and how those both play a part in in him being so skilled at dodging social interaction/being so avoidant of it, but by the time we see him in the movie he’s all but accepted his fate as being alone his entire life. he’s already accepted being the family disappointment, and he’s already accepted he’ll never amount to anything, and he obviously doesn’t like it, but he’d have managed living with that knowledge without the confirmation that it was all wrong. would he have been miserable? almost certainly. but he’d have managed. he’d done it for that long already, anyhow.

But like. Hear me out: Jayce as Odette, Viktor as Rothbart/Odile & Mel as prince siegfried

Viktor is the Swan Herald of the enchanted woods, he took the position over from Singed after Singed damaged the forest & he’s now working tirelessly to fix everything,

Jayce isn’t from the Enchanted Woods but he’s definitely Of them, as the pseudo-son of Heimerdinger. He has a fascination with Piltover and goes there frequently

Mel is the recently elected Queen of Piltover, having earned the position through diplomacy & hard work. She’s the banished heiress of the Medarda Family from Noxus, and thus is trying to make a name for herself

The story isn’t too figured out, but it will most likely have two Act’s with one following how Jayce gets turned into a swan, Viktor’s descent as he tries to keep a handle on things and Mel’s introduction to the enchanted woods, and the other following how to turn Jayce back from a swan & Mel and Viktor realizing they might not be so different after all

So this might be an unpopular opinion (or maybe not), but as a bi woman, I would be fucking PISSED if Buck and Eddie ended up kissing or hooking up during the bachelor party.
