I was gonna join a discord server and i noticed in their ad they said “We are a safe space for all lgbtq+ people and their identities!” and the next line said “No good faith labels”(which correct me if i’m wrong but im pretty sure that just means contradictory labels?) Like. What? Huh? 😭🧍i’m so sick of exclusionists. Just let me be queer in peace 😞

I understand(don’t agree with, but understand) a server not allowing paraphiles and radqueers—antis unfortunately tend to hear the stories of abusers in our communities the most. But what did lesboys and gaybians and m-spec gays/lesbians and turigirls do? We’ve been around since forever 😭😭, we’re not a new thing trying to “invade queer spaces”.

Just because we don’t fit perfectly into your perfect box of what google says xyz queer identity is supposed to be doesn’t mean we aren’t valid. A) google isn’t correct about everything, and b) queer people are not meant to fit into little boxes!!! That is the ENTIRE point of us!!!!

I just don’t get it. Preaching love and acceptance for all EXCEPT good faith labels is ridiculous. Why don’t people do research before deciding something is bad????

Anyway if you identify with a contradictory label, i love you. I love lesboys and mspec gays and turigirls and gaybians and bi lesbians and mspec lesbians and everybody else. Ily guys, take pride in your identities and never let anybody shame you for them 🫶

@benshapirosgaylover dude idek what to say. it’s been almost 2 years since we got close and i honestly can’t believe it’s been that long. we talked about everything, bonded over queer shit, and just generally became close and i half-adopted you even though you’re only a year younger than me lmao. you’re my ride-or-die little brother and it’s given me so much joy to be your friend and get to be a big sister for once! ily and i’ve always got your back

@plushtsula honestly the best. one of the first beings i ever met in this community, we were really close pretty immediately and we went through all of the wiki stuff and tumblr stuff together. he was ALWAYS there for me and supported me when i needed it, especially when people were bullying me off the wiki and i didn’t really have any other friends to turn to. he’s super funny, sweet, caring, smart, and has also taught me a lot about how to support my queer friends of color which is so appreciated. thank you for existing!!!!

@corax-blackwolf honestly one of the sweetest people i’ve ever met. i know we haven’t been friends for a super long time but it feels like we have been. we’re pretty much the same person- same queer worldviews, and i really cherish the convos we’ve had- infodumping, ranting about autism, ranting about inclusionism, fangirling over our queerness, and connecting over our shared issues with something has really helped me. being able to be there for you and help you through what you’re struggling with has helped me connect and also accept myself more and i so appreciate you!!!

Damn I need more positivity for cis lesboys and cis turigirls. And for cis enbys in general. Why are non-binary cis so forgetful? Seriously, we need to clarify how much their identities are valid and they are not "invading" any space. Really, you all are non-binary enough and have space in the community :]

yeah. it’s like, people avoid talking about cis lesboys and cis turigirls because if they do then they’re saying cis men can be lesbians and cis women can be turian, and that’s a controversial statement that would make the exclusbians come out of the woodwork like termites to attack us, but like. being cis =/= being gender conforming or binary. im a nonbinary genderqueer cis girl. cis just means you identify with the gender you were assigned at birth, it’s not a synonym for having a conformant gender. like, nonbinary men who were amab are not less queer than nonbinary men who were afab. cis and trans are terms of gender as it relates to agab, not queerness in and of itself. a trans nonbinary person can be just as queer as a cis nonbinary person. like yeah, cishet men being lesbians isn’t really a thing and it shouldn’t be but like. cis lesboys, cis turigirls, they’re not validating or saying that cishet men and women have a right to queer terminology like that, they’re queering the term cis by acknowledging that you can be cis and still have a queer gender. yeah, cishet/non-queer men can’t be lesbians. but no one, not even the most inclus of inclus, is saying they can be by acknowledging genderqueer and nonbinary cis people. so long story short anon you’re valid and ily /p
