So very sweet and cuddly! The first time you got your period with him he immediately went into learning mode.

Understands the mood swings, pain, cravings, everything going on inside of your body, etc. Makes sure you have a heating pad and likes to prepare you baths with nice candle light.

Doesn’t matter what time it is, you have a craving he’ll be right back with it.

Rubs your stomach without really thinking about it. Will rub your chest if you are okay with it.

Babies the hell out of you if you let him. If you feel more independent and like being babied is more of a punishment than anything he’ll back off and let you do your thing.

Louis

Takes care of you but also just kind of treats you like normal. Makes sure you have a heating pad and encourages hot showers.

Has medicine and your favorite craving stacked up to the max.

Listens when you complain and doesn’t make you feel weird or awkwardly about it.

Doesn’t think it’s that big of a deal because it’s something natural and perfectly normal, thus he doesn’t see a reason to fret over it.

Period cramps? What even are those? The tea he makes you somehow magically either completely gets rid of cramps or you barely feel them.

Very nonchalant about all of this. Doesn’t think what he’s doing is anything special, it’s his job to take care of you so why would he make it a big deal?

I just think people are a little too dismissive of how important Tem is to the story of beastars but more importantly than that I think people are too dismissive of how important Tem's friendship probably was to Legoshi.

Because like yeah, Tem kinda suffered from what Junpei Yoshino had going on in the manga, where he basically only existed for plot, and thus we didn't get enough scenes of his interacting with the protagonist for people to really care about him. But if you examine Tem for about 12 seconds, you kinda start to realize that Tem is the logical core of the relationship between Carnivores and Herbivores in a way that Louis and Haru just aren't, both because of Louis's history with carnivores, and because Haru's relationship with Legoshi is a romantic, love at first sight type, which tends to cause some problems. Riz and Tem are a tragedy waiting to happen but Legoshi and Tem's friendship, on the other hand, was nearly perfect, and I'd probably argue that of the two, Tem was closer friends with Legoshi, mostly because he's not scared of Legoshi at all. Startled by him at times, but for the most part, every scene we see of them, they're just friends being dudes.

And yeah Legoshi doesn't acknowledge Tem much in canon but he fought a bear, hunted down a murderer, and betrayed his principles on eating meat to avenge Tem. Yeah Legoshi never breaks down crying over Tem but he also let Legoshi touch his wool. Sure Legoshi has Haru and Louis and Jack but I think Tem is so much more important than people think about because he was Legoshi's Herbivore Friend before Louis or Haru or San or Kyuu or any of them.

Do I have too much stock in this relationship? Yes absolutely. Do I think more people should have as much stock as me in this relationship? Yes absolutely.

He's humble and polite, struggles socially, and tries to be gentle/patient.

Although, since he is still a wolf, he is capable of being imposing and assertive.

He doesn't like scaring people... yet his stature as a male wolf is naturally intimidating.

Out of the two, I feel Juno would be the one more forceful.

Legoshi spends a lot of his time trying to rationalize his feelings and comprehend them.

While Juno immediately thinks it's love at first sight and you must date.

There's a lot of manipulation in this rivalry.

The good thing is, you're not an herbivore.

Which should, in theory, put you on near equal footing with them as a wolf.

You see the two wolves during classes, in the hallways, during Biology Days...

You may even have drama club with them.

As a wolf you interact a lot and don't activate any sort of hunting instinct in them.

What you do ignite within them?

A need for companionship.

Juno used to feel such a way for Legoshi until she met you.

She loves your fur, your scent, your voice...

She loves it all!

It's funny, because the moment she finds a new crush?

Her old crush also shows signs of liking them.

Frustrating.

Wolves tend to be possessive of chosen mates.

So while Juno shows this a lot more, Legoshi's capable of it too.

You're close with them as friends and fellow wolves.

You even remember their scent and are capable of sensing them through that.

Which is why it unnerves you when you start sensing them more often than you should.

Juno is much more clingy, sociable, and touchy with you.

She's assertive and it seems like she's showing every animal around her that you two belong together.

It's like she's showing claim over you.

You notice and may try to distance yourself, but the other wolf follows you closely.

Why are you trying to avoid her?

Legoshi is less into PDA....

He's shy around you and allows you your space and independence.

He's protective more than possessive, yet those desires still linger within his actions.

He blushes at close contact, stutters when speaking to you, and overall just likes to admire you from a distance.

He's the opposite of Juno... yet he feels jealous when he sees how Juno acts around you.

Legoshi can tell you aren't a big fan of Juno's clingy behavior.

Which he uses as an excuse to pull you away and distract you a bit.

Much to Juno's frustration.

Although, while Legoshi is protective and willing to help you away from Juno...

He can end up being suffocating too.

Legoshi is less manipulative and possessive than Juno at first.

Although, with how strong the other wolf is coming on, he may feel like he has to show claim over you.

It's no doubt in his instincts if he really does view you in a romantic way.

You probably don't even see either wolf in that kind of way.

Which is why it can be overwhelming when two wolves are suddenly not only trying to win you over... but compete.

They both act caring and attentive to you when it's just you and them alone.

Yet the moment the two are in a room with one another?

There's tension and glares.

Maybe a frustrated growl here or there.

Juno is the one who acts the most moody out of the two.

She's often arguing with Legoshi, blaming him for trying to sabotage her or how she just wants him to leave you and her alone.

Her heart is still recovering from their "break-up" (They were never together).

Now he's trying to take yours from her!?

Meanwhile Legoshi just wants to make sure you're okay and Juno isn't being too... much.

Legoshi's crush is gradual, so he starts just genuinely looking out for a fellow "pack member".

Although... Over time he wonders if he should pay attention to how his tail wags and how he blushes around you....

Would the two be violent with one another...?

No... I can't really see it.

Legoshi would want to physically hurt Juno.

Juno may threaten him, standing her ground and barking about how you're hers.

But she won't actually do anything... hopefully.

Legoshi is no doubt stronger than her as a male wolf, so she's cautious.

Even other wolves can sense the tension between these two.

Biology Day feels more stressful than it should be due to Juno and Legoshi avoiding one another.

Juno would try to spend more time with you by inviting you to gatherings or trips.

You don't seriously plan on spending all of your time in the dorms, right?

You'd rather do that than deal with their tension.

She'd drag you out to hang out with her, always having an arm around you as she walks.

Juno gets more possessive, Legoshi gets more protective...

You can't trust either of them anymore.

Plus, you may even grow more concerned when you start seeing blood on their fur.

With months of tension, the two may even fight more.

Wolves are territorial and violent when it comes to mates....

You can only hope the issue resolves soon.

Those wounds are beginning to concern you.

They can't hide the smell of blood from you.

Juno may be the one most likely to lock you in her dorm until you choose her.

Although, Legoshi may lure you to his dorm in an attempt to soothe you and protect you.

Some infos from the live interview with the creators of Belfort and Lupin

The chara design for Belfort and Lupin changed a lot and came from many different inspirations. Belfort was supposed to be more brown with a blue collar but it looked a bit too much like Lady from the Lady & the Tramp (which inspired his curly design) so they changed the color tone of his fur and collar. Lupin was supposed to be a dog raised by the servants at first but once again, it was too close to Tramp from Disney xD (B&L being Lady & the Tramp literally lol) so they went for a wolf and for his design there are many inspiration like the movie Balto or even Beastars with Legoshi.

Disney inspired them a lot actually. They took the idea of the relationship with B&L with The Aristocats mostly, but also Kuzco for the humor & of course, Lady and the Tramp for some designs. Also Tanne & Ponne, the sisters, are also inspired by Cinderella's stepsisters ;) there is even a scene in one episode (La Glacière) that was inspired by The Lion King (wildebeests scene)

The idea to put some historical anecdotes at the end of the episode comes from the fact that the writer of the show grew up with show like The Mysterious Cities of Gold that did something similar. And they wanted a show that could be both cute, fun and educational :)

Belfort and Lupin are both teenagers in the show <3

It took them 7 years to create B&L! they wanted the animation to be perfect and put so many details, from the settings (by sketching every little things in Versailles when they visited) to the characters movements. They said at first they hesitated B&L to even touch ("penetrate" if I use the real technical term for 3d animation lol that was funny xD) bcs that would be super complicated but at the end, one of the animator insisted bcs they wanted their relationship to be more sincere and lovely <3

About their relationship, they said there won't be romance between Belfort and Lupin (for the moment) and that was totally open to interpretation ;))) (one of the designer ships them anyway lol). And IF something would happen between them, the creator said he would prefer it to take time and develop slowly bcs they are still young (so we can totally imagine them being bf in the future hehehehe)

Belfort's name is the name of a city in France. Also in his full name, Augustin Proper de Belfort, Prosper is the name of his late father. They said we'll discover Tanne & Ponne full names in the future too ;D

They are optimistic for a season 2 and have already many ideas for it :D they said it would take place around the same time than s1. They would like to show much more sides of Versailles bcs there are so many things they haven't put in the show yet.

They talked about a special episode about Belfort and Lupin first meeting ; it happened in the forest (*v*)

In the upcoming episode "The Big Bad Wolf", there is a wolf named Remus that will appear (and you might have already seen his design here). He will be an adult wolf and it's gonna be the most emotional episode of the season apparently ;v;

They also want to make us cry more with a future episode where Belfort's dad would be mentioned :'o

There is a fox character that they wish to introduce in the future.

You haven't seen Riz for awhile now. Ever since the truth has been found out, ever since Legoshi confronted him that night and blood was spilled, nobody really wanted to talk about the former Cherryton student. It's like he was a ghost now, one that needed to be forgotten. But you couldn't move on.

The news spoke of him, calling him a 'dangerous individual' and a 'heartless monster' for taking Tem's life for his selfish desires. Sure, he was selfish for wanting to continue the chain of 'predators feast upon prey' chain, but he didn't deserve half of the things said about him. You knew that very well.

You refused to visit Riz due to many reasons, one of them being the not-so-pleasant memories you had with him, in which he no longer smiled warmly, but with malicious intent. Yet one of the other students visited him, and said he was a changed bear. So, you clenched your jaws and gathered all of your courage and made your way towards the facility where your friend was held.

It took awhile to get you to talk to him, mainly because you didn't reserve a meeting with him. You waited, seated on a chair, anxiously tapping your claw against your lap. Countless questions swarmed your brain, questions only the future would be able to answer. Before you could get too lost, footsteps could be heard approaching, and you looked up to see one of the guards.

''Follow me.'' The tiger stated, and you wasted no time in getting up and trailing after the taller animal. Before you could enter the room where Riz was held, you were supposed to drop your phone and other metallic accessories in a small tray. You did as told, anxiety bubbling inside of you the longer you had to follow the guard.

You stopped in front of a metal door, which was guarded by two other animals─one of them a bull, and the other a lion. Or a maned lioness? Before they could unlock the door they had to give you the rules. ''No getting too close to the inmate. You are to not give him anything, no matter how small or harmless it is. You will be monitored and your conversation will be recorded. Is that clear?'' The lion's soothing voice caressed your ear, and you identified them as a lioness. You nodded, finding difficulty in speaking at the moment, and the bull turned to unlock the door.

You stepped inside, instantly greeted with a table and two chairs, positioned across each other, and you hesitantly took a seat. There was nothing that you could hear aside from the soft thumping of your heart, and the occasional chair creaking under your weight. You lightly flinched as the metallic door was opened once more, and you turned around to see Riz handcuffed, with a muzzle and the two guards holding him by his arms. They led him to the other chair, swiftly cuffing him to the table, before disappearing quickly and locking the door behind them.

You stared at Riz, and he stared at you. He had an apologetic smile on his face, which you could barely spot due to the restraints he had around his muzzle. He'd be lying if he said he didn't miss you,

And you'd be lying if you said you didn't miss him.

He wanted to start all over with you and treat you the way you should be treated.

You were hesitant, you didn't know whether you should or not.

But when you saw the tired look in his eyes, the guilt clawing at his throat whenever he spoke, you knew he truly changed.

And you accepted.

Nearly every week, when time allowed you, you'd visit Riz.

The guards have grown used to you, and they said they might remove his muzzle if he behaved nicely. Obviously they needed approval from their superior, but Riz's behavior was monitored 24/7, they knew he was no longer the beast that they brought in.

Unfortunately you never knew how long he would remain in prison, but you promised you'd wait for him.

Soon enough, due to his good behavior, he was allowed to receive gifts.

You bought him books, poetry, and even paper for him to continue his passion for origami.

He appreciated every single gift you brought him, and promised that he will do the same to you when he's out.

Pina ~ He's a playboy we know, however meeting you he got butterflies. He thought he was getting Ill at first but when it started happening every time he caught a glimpse of you oh something was up. He decided one day to approach you at lunch, he had already asked around to learn your name (The only one he can keep straight). Only for the week after you began aquainted he dropped all the women he was trading off. You were the only one he had his eyes on, It was like a high for him getting to talk to you, gosh he even considered dropping the drama club so he could spend more time with you (You had to convince him not too).Pina's version of affection would be praising you and specially letting you help him care for his fur. ღ

Legoshi ~ He was terrified meeting you, and he thought you were terrified by him. So the most he'd do at first was watch you from afar at lunch or during class however Jack pushed him to ask if he could sit with you at lunch, the whole time he barely ate, he was distracted listening to you talk, his tail constantly wagging under the table the whole time. Every morning before class he'd want to go on a walk with you, he'd always get you a snack, and some water, he doesn't want you going to class without being taken care of.

Louis ~ Louis wasn't nervous meeting you at all, he spent at least two and a half weeks exactly getting to know you before he had already confessed to you. However he didn't exactly want the relationship public, really for you so you didn't have to deal with getting crowded and watched constantly but he'd still act a bit softer with you in public. He would've memorized your whole schedule so he could adjust his to come see you at least twice a day.

Riz ~ Riz was surprised meeting you, sure he was friendly with all the herbivores but something caught his eye about you. Maybe it was the way you didn't run from him, you loved his cooking, or the way you would run to him when another carnivore was acting up. He wanted nothing more then to hold you, to have you with him at all times god to memorize your scent. You made him feel so good he stopped taking his supression meds and it made him think about you even more, every thought, every movement he just wanted you. Until his thoughts evolved into ones of madness, wanting you to always be with him. To never leave him, you were the only one who could make his head stop splitting open. He devoured you 10 weeks and 8 days after you met, he wore the red stains you left on his pristine fur for 7 hours before he returned to his normal life.

Bill ~ Bill didn't really know what to think meeting you, you were fun to be around, made him laugh, but when you laughed it put butterflies in his stomach. He started to skip drama club sometimes just to see you, he was cautious because of you being an Herbivore. He was content with not telling you his feelings, he thought it was safer that way. Until one day while blabbering to you he accidentally spat it out, he only realized what he said when he saw you staring at him. You two ended up dating, and oh it made him regret ever going to the black market. Bill was swooning head over heels for you, he practically turned into a big house cat, just wanting your attention and affection.

Ghoin ~ Gohin spends every hour of his life inside the blackmarket so imagine his surprise when he found you, an Herbivore, wandering around there. He had you come with him back to his office, instantly questioning you as to why on earth you would come to the black market. After you left, he decided to keep an eye on you, honestly thinking you were ill or something. Until he found himself feeling sick to the stomach, right? Until it insistently got worse when you interacted again. God he hated it, but also liked it, and decided to indulge, making sure you were safe and allat.

Beastars x Singer!reader

This is a request that I got so I hope you like it! i’m not a singer in the slightest so I’m not sure how this is.

Legoshi

Like a moth to a flame Legoshi is drawn to your voice. He first heard you while walking past the music room. He could help but stop in his tracks.

It wasn’t until later when you came to drama club to help with a musical they were putting on that he put a face to the voice.

At first he spent a lot of time looking at you, admiring you and listening to you sing. You knew he was there and sometimes made it a point to sing when he “wasn’t” around.

You spoke to him first. From there you too went on a date and it just took off from there.

Legoshi loved taking you on karaoke dates, sometimes he would even join in the singing! (Very rarely).

He loves to quietly brag about you to his friends. Offhandly mentioning how you like to sing or how you helped with the musical.

His favorite thing is when you hum him to sleep, his personal lullaby.

Jack

My sweet boy likes to sing too. That’s how you guys bonded!

Study sessions turn into jam sessions as you too sing along with the music and start making up your own songs.

Not only do you sing, but dance along as well. Jack is over the moon to have found someone as enthusiastic as him. You too match energy so perfectly it’s almost like you were written for each other.

He encourages you to follow singing as a future career. Truly he believes your voice is the best in the world. He’s totally not biased at all.

Louis

Louis met you at the opera. You were on stage, looking so beautiful it was almost as if you weren’t real.

The only thing more beautiful than you was your voice. It rang through the theatre, so hauntingly sweet it made his head dizzy.

After the show you too met as you were greeting his father and the other rich families that had crowded around you.

It was a brief meeting that ended in you too barely speaking to each other.

So when you ran into each other at school it was quite the shock. Louis came up to you, inquiring about the performance and where the passion at came from.

He was there for every show, sat in the same section. He always brought a gift as well, flowers, chocolates, a bracelet, and finally a necklace when he asked you to be his.

Every time you preform you wear that necklace, and every time he is there sat watching.

Gohin

You were a patient of his. While going through his therapy you used singing as a way of escapism.

Gohin had definitely noticed this fact and encouraged it as he thought it helped with treatment.

He would also be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy hearing you sing.

When his feeling started to grow he was hesitant, almost feeling a ship heading towards the siren. He knew he shouldn’t be with a patient but you were tantalizing.

When you too ended up together you helped him treat other patients. Singing to soothe their crazed minds, giving them a focus point.

Gohin always makes sure to have a warm cup of tea to soothe your throat.

By far his favorite thing is when you are standing in the kitchen, quietly singing to yourself. He comes up behind you, grabs your waist and begins sway your bodies to the rhythm.

He’s in deep with you.

BEASTARS ☆ Legoshi Agere Hcs

- hes just a puppy, regresses young, and goes nonverbal. HES ACTUALLY SUCH A AWKWARD LITTLE GUY

- primary cgs are jack & haru!

jacks known him for a long time, i can definitely see jack being the first one to recognize legoshis regression and taking care of him because there is no way he can walk away from his regressed best friend in good conscience. i think jack would LOVE taking care of a little legoshi, he gets to spend more time with his best friend!

haru found out on accident. after legoshi started to randomly get so clingy and so quiet, more quiet than normal, she started to question him, leading to a distressed little, leading to a distressed haru, leading to a crying legoshi, LEADING TO A CONFUSED AND GUILTY HARU which probably led to her trying to calm him down, him ending up asleep and then woke up and started to frantically apologize and explain everything to her

- i also think that louis & gohin would play the role as babysitter too!

- easy, low energy little for the most part. sometimes the puppy will get a big burst of energy and really be up to play with whoevers with him!

^ i can really see him with those dog toys you play tug of war with!! ouhhhh:(((

^but when he is feelin low energy he would love to take a nap, be read a story too, or color/draw!

- will honestly act a lot like a real pup, he’ll get so clingy and nuzzle and sniff his cg, he’ll try to make himself as small as possible despite his large build.

- i dont think he’d have a ton of agere gear other than some toys, and maybe a super cozy pajama set jack bought him when he grew out of his old one after a particularly big growth spurt.

- and a stuffie. a stuffie that legoshi bought himself, the only piece of agere gear legoshi has bought for himself. he loves that stuffie with his life, its the real mvp when it comes to chilling him out if hes upset!!

- gohin freaking the heck out when legoshi ends up small during one of their meetings. gohins seen this before, in his patients, and legoshi, a baby, a pup, does NOT belong anywhere near here, near the black market. god forbid he wasnt here, what if he was out there.

Reading the background of Legoshi's mother and the Beastars villain got me thinking: If Flippy and Flaky have a baby as it would be, would it look like a clear mix between both species or would it have the characteristics of one species with a slight difference that makes you say 'They'is not an real porcupine/bear'?

JEJEjE They have different cookie molds and flavors available, somebody got curious about it in a comment too, you are SO close to what I imagine it to be (●'◡'���) People would not go to try clasify them as bear or porcupine, they are striken by conflict, if you get a clear look it's an endearing bebe that makes you feel a 'something is wrong with you' or you get the feel the baby is something that 'shouldn't have happen'

aka.. why i believe this fucking thing has a personality disorder.

He has NPD [narcissistic personality disorder] PLEASE do not take this as "i'm headcannoning the abusive serial killer with the evil bitch disorder because he's evil and kills people", i myself am a narcissist, and melon shows.. a lot of narc traits i relate to, like first off the lack of empathy and utter disregard or understanding of other beasts, yeah this is kinda just.. a hybrid thing in beastars but MAN, also he.. clearly has a fragile ego and a very vivid view of himself, melon is 'the love's failure, the devil of the back alley market, the cruel failed product of love' a persona he is so attatched to that he refuses to stray away of this view of himself and accept any sort of change for the better. in fact! dolph and miguel state that putting yourself down and praising him is the best way to pacify melon.,,,, narc shit. in fact! the few times people have called melon out or challanged his view of himself he's lashed out. [legoshi attempting to sympathize with him in vol 15, melon leads up to his theatric attempt to murder him right after legoshi states he doesn't view melon as a bad person, also agata calling him imoral for eating meat he does not know the species of,,,,, to which he stabs the poor fucker in the hand with a fork.] and,, ok narc pov here, i also get incredably pissed and violent when the complex version of myself that is built in my head is challaged.. ive never reached. melon levels as i'm a human person and not a shonen antagonist, but i HAVE. gotten violent before at my persona being threatened. but seriously melon honey, just bite yourself and zone out to marina and the diamonds while you list reasons you're better than evreybdy else in your head. thats what i do. it,,,,, helps?? also an interesting detail is his suicide attempt at the end of the manga, again this is my narc bias, but i feel like post-meat loving day he's absolutley going on an ego spiral, the attention and support of nearly the whole back alley gets to his head and mabye i look into his actions too much but he seems a lot more erratic after this. i am not trying to speak for all narcs here but theres this almost.. mania-like state ive gotten into after getting a lot of positive attention and it can make me spiral into bad patterns, thats what i think is going on with melon. and even like.. after he finds out the back alley is being demolished; the back alley. the source to feed his ego is dissapearing, he spirals!! he tries to play it off because he's in front of a bunch of people causing him to resort to being theatrical again, but he tries to kill himself. a part of him feels he's nothing withought the [to him] pathetic carnevores groveling for him, entertained by how unpredictable he is, so what else is there once you loose your ego supply? so he tries to kill himself, he tries to kill himself while also trying to make his death a dramatic statement with the whole "this land will be forever tainted if a hybrid died here right now in front of evreybody" he's still trying to get attention and fuel his ego by going down in infamy. but yeah i,,,, this was supposed to just be a list of funny headcannons but i wrote too much about my npd headcannon for melon...... i'll have to post the funnier ones after this sometime. and i again wanna state melon isn't perfect npd rep, he's.. litterally the "evil manipulative abusive bastard" steriotype that plauges the npd community. but i do see my traits in him and wanted 2 yap about it. melon go to therapy and fuccking run a tumblr blog where you shitpost to like 10 loyal mutuals, it gives you the same attention high i fucking promise.

-I didn't love the opening at first but it def grew on me. shishigumi car. reblog. you agree.

-was the energy drink plot in the manga? or did they make it up to kinda try simplify a number of black matket plot lines? bc I will admit a lot of the black market stuff has kinda been "it's always been bad, but it's SO bad now trust us bro" so I don't mind seeing them actually to show what the change actually was

-I don't love how they literally translated sebun's name as seven but alas

all in all, all of the great, slice-of-life legoshi making his way through life as an adult type stuff that I loved from the latter half of the manga (and also the jokerfied fruit twink) was there. aside from the aforementioned bit with the leanno scene going straight into something almost entirely unrelated, most of the pacing was pretty decent (even if in hindsight it is kinda funny jumping back and forth between scenes of legoshi experiencing bodily harm and the drama club going "but what about the big playyyy :(")

things haven't gotten too messy yet... now we wait for whenever pt 2 drops to see how bad it gets...
