“Usagi, I need you to listen to me. Strange things are happening in the city. Even the Police can't handle what's going on. A dangerous enemy has appeared. You're the only one who can defeat this enemy. You're the guardian that's been chosen for this mission. But there's more than just that. you also have to find the other Guardians and our Princess.” - Luna, Sailor Moon (Ep. 01)
The Toonami Trending Rundown for May 31 and June 1-2, 2024. For the first time since April 15, 2004, Toonami would return to airing on a weekday timeslot on Fridays with Toonami Rewind as part of Adult Swim’s expansion to 5pm to showcase classic Cartoon Network programming. The inaugural lineup featured the return of Sailor Moon to Toonami for the first time in 23 years alongside an hour of DBZ Kai and OG Naruto.
And fans on social media responded very positively to Toonami Rerun’s debut. On Twitter, #ToonamiRewind trended in the USA alongside Sailor Moon and DBZ Kai.
Meanwhile on the regular Toonami late night lineup, Zom 100 returned from its three-week hiatus, and Demon Slayer begun its rerun of the Entertainment District arc in the meantime. In terms of trends, #Toonami trended in the USA on Twitter alongside My Adventures with Superman and Zom 100. #Toonami also trended on Tumblr.
This week’s feature was a game review of Dave the Diver, developed by Mintrocket studios. It received an 8.5 out of 10 score.

Despite the present upheaval at Warner Bros Discovery, the current success of Toonami was paramount to Cartoon Network and Adult Swim creating Toonami Rewind. According to Jason DeMarco on Blue Sky, “It was the network’s idea to try a second Toonami block since they are very happy with the performance of the Saturday night version. They wondered if a throwback Toonami would be interesting. We liked the idea!” And assuming things go well, Jason says he has “all kinds of cool plans to bring more shows in” including shows Toonami has aired in the past, Adult Swim action shows, western animated action classics and more.
Of course, that all depends on if people continue to watch Toonami Rewind every Friday as with regular Toonami every Saturday. So be sure to keep watching (or at least set your DVRs) and help contribute to the social media buzz if you’re into it. And as with any potential Toonami show, if you do wish to see a show air on Toonami or Toonami Rewind, feel free to let Toonami know on their Facebook page as well as letting Jason DeMarco know on his Bluesky @clarknova.bsky.social. It also doesn’t hurt to let your favorite show’s respective licensor(s) know (whether it’s Crunchyroll, Toei, Viz Media, and the like) on their respective social media outlets as well. On a related note, Jason DeMarco no longer posts on Twitter outside of “promotional information related to my work,” and has privatized his account (after previously deleting it) for archival purposes, so we’re not sure if he’ll still read any show requests and feedback that is sent to @clarknova1.
Finally, this past week was the birthday of yours truly, so I’d like to give a huge thank you to Jason, Steve, Dana, and everyone at Cartoon Network who are doing their part to rebuild the better cartoon show. as well as those that watch, record, and live tweet and blog this great block. No doubt that Toonami is the gift that keeps on giving and showing that hope springs eternal for the mainstream success of anime and action cartoons overall.

ok frankly I'm completely unhinged about the Final Shape soundtrack
GREATEST HITS REEL:
First off the Untold Legends leitmotif!! love it!!
honestly I don't have much of a connection to this but it's a nice musical connection to what I think was the credits music in d1? anyway it's just nice
THEN!! (47s in) one of the many instances of the classic Guardian leitmotif in the soundtrack. it's a banger here, it's a banger every time it plays before this and will be a banger to the end of time. goated lietmotif. it's also foreshadowed a few seconds before with the same chord progression!
then 1 minute in we get the return of a track I wasn't really expecting! All Ends Are Beginnings is used a lot in the finale tracks and I'm glad bc it's a spectacular ending song that kind of suffered from how mediocre the ending to the og destiny campaign was, but it works really well as a callback to wrap everything up!
about a minute goes by with a few lietmotifs I can't place, but are still nice.
But then!! 2 minutes 20 seconds in we get Excerpt 2 from The Rose coming in with the steel chair in a spectacular rearrangement of the final boss theme of the original campaign and one of my fav boss themes of all time, changing it from this overwhelming, roiling chaotic chorus to this determined march forward. brilliant stuff

Canon
I would like to take a minute and talk about the canon of the big 4 for a bit.
March 26, 2010 How to train your dragon (Httyd)
October 14, 2010 Legend of the Boneknapper Dragon (Httyd short film)
November 24, 2010 Tangled
November 15, 2011 Book of Dragons (Httyd short film)
November 15, 2011 Gift of the Night Fury (Httyd short Film)
June 22, 2012 Brave
(August 7, 2012 Riders of berk (Httyd series))
(September 4, 2012 Defenders of berk (Season 2 of Riders of berk))
November 30, 2012 Rise of the Guardians
Now when we talk Big 4 before 2014, we are talking about those four movies, or the charaters before the movies. Or in Httyd case afther the series.
June 13, 2014 Httyd 2
November 11, 2014 Dawn of the Dragon Racers (Httyd short movie)
June 26, 2015 - February 16, 2018 Race to the Edge (Httyd series playing before the 2 movie)
March 24, 2017 - March 1, 2020 Rapunzel´s Tangled Aventures (Tangled series playing before the end epiloge)
February 22, 2019 Httyd 3 the Hidden world
December 3, 2019 Httyd Homecoming (Httyd Short Movie)
December 23, 2019 Snoggletog Log (This thing is like just a fireplace where persons and dragons go around with some good music no lore or plot whatsoever)
As we all see there is so much Httyd media, why? because it was the most success full movie of the og 4. And from what i read Httyd was always planned to be a triliogy. And the shows that came along? Well money. Brave and Guardians never got a 2nd movie or series why? Well Guardians was a flop DreamWorks actully lost 70Million, so no more Guardians content as for Brave, they just didnt do that.
So this is all the possible media that could be inside the big 4...
We have:
Brave: 1h 33m / 93m
Rise of the Guardians: 1h 37m / 97m
Tangled: 1d 7h 10m / 31h 10m / 1870m
Httyd: 2d 4h 30m / 52h 30m / 3150m
The Big 4: 3d 14h 40m / 86h 40m / 5200 minutes
Now do i say you need to watch all of those around 4 days of content to understand the big 4? Not really, most of the content is about them as a friend group and in that sense the Canon really doesnt matter that much. BUT if you see like an older version of hiccup running around in edits, fanart or something else, thats why. Now in all fairness, I have not seen all dragon content. (Please dont come after me httyd fans) I have seen the first and second movie. So if in fact the 3 movie or the shows have a real inpact on the Big 4 Story wise (while i didnt see any) please let me know.

Piano-centric video game tracks that I associate with Vivia
A majority of these songs are from my character playlist, but I feel like being my music man self and wanna ramble a lil bit about them while providing individual links to each song.
Darkness Falls (Deltarune) - The og piano-centric track I tied to Vivia like it was wrapped around his finger. Fits his sense of mystique and storybook-esque view of the world to a T.
My Castle Town (Deltarune) - I feel like this song would be one Vivia could play on his lonesome in the secrecy of the undisturbed hotel. If his perception of peace and quiet were to be a song, this would be it.
Laura Plays Piano (Silent Hill 2) - I'm a HUGE Silent Hill nerd, so it was instinct to pile up a bunch of SH2's tracks on top of Vivia like a warm, heavy comforter. I'm mainly showcasing this one because this song encapsulates the feeling of spectral projecting, wandering unseen among the living and dead. (Please listen to Silent Hill 2's OST, it is filled with so many good piano tracks that feel close to Vivia it pains me)
Breeze - In Monochrome Night (Silent Hill 3) - My personal favorite track from SH3, a slow burn instrumental that remind me of Vivia and Halara's dynamic specifically. I associate Halara with drum kits, as previously discussed in my post about each character's instrument motifs. The piano and drums work in tandem, creating a shockingly well-played duet.
By Your Side (Omori) - The warmth of a rare smile from Vivia, finding genuine happiness in his place within the agency. Surrounded by those who love and care for him, a stark contrast to his horrible home life, Vivia wouldn't trade this tranquility for anything else.
Lost Library (Omori) - The solace of a good book in the homely nook of the fireplace, guided by candlelight. No sooner does he rest just as easily in his own little spot, dreaming sweetly of a better life away from all the difficult truths hiding in a desk drawer across the room.
Guardian Battle Theme (Breath Of The Wild) - Don't you just hate it when your peace and quiet is threatened to be taken away from you? The anger that arises is subtle, but the flash of a blade sprouting from his hand is a clue unaffordable to miss. If you've managed to piss off Vivia, then you've sure as well earned it. Lookin' at you, Yomi.
Wielder Volo Battle Theme (Legends: Arceus) - If one small detective is the only thing that stands between Vivia and his peace and quiet, he'll do whatever it takes to force him away. Since Yuma wishes to see the truth that badly, then he'll have to fight him for it. Neither of them want it to be this way, but they must protect the one they deeply admire, unknowingly colliding into each other's beliefs of who the culprit really is.
#i love characters that are so musically-inclined even if they aren't explicitly musical themselves#ever since i saw vivia laying under the piano in his va reveal pre-release it was ON SIGHT#rain code#rain code spoilers#vivia twilight

My answers because I have time to kill. Here are the summaries based on what I think would happen.
1. We would get the OG plan for Star Wars, originally Lucas wanted to tell a more gritty story with Anakin having been the general princess Leia was seeking on Tatooine, where he would be raising his family far from the Empire. Instead Anakin was declared dead (then Vader) and his role was given to a new character Ben.
2. That is a whole fan fiction on itself. But It reminds me a bit of the old Legends romance of Obi Wan and Siri Tachi, if she was evil like Palps apprentice we could get a Mara Jade x Luke Skywalker similar story.
3. Obi Wan would follow Dooku, and together they would fail to destroy Sidious and possibly die. Anakin wouldn't lost his limb and got burned on Mustafar and would reign as Emperor Vader.
4. Prison time or execution for war crimes, or Luke would convince the new republic to keep him under his protection to act as some short of guardian for the new Jedi order.
5. Too little too late, who would listen to him, order 66 happens in mere weeks. There isn't enough time. But Maul on early rebellion perhaps with Saw's partisans doing good old terrorism. That would be fun, what fun. (Until he got killed by Vader)
6. I don't think the story would have changed much. Perhaps Luke would join a bit earlier and perhaps Leia and Luke would have known they are siblings from the get go. No kissing Hoth scene.
7. We would get Star Wars. Originally the Emperor was meant to be nothing more than a figurehead. And warlords like Tarkin where the ones who truly had the power in the Empire. It wasn't until the Empire Strikes Back where it was decided that the Emperor would be a strong dark sider.
8. Damn that actually changes a lot, Anakin is made Jedi Master, why because he trained a padawan to the rank of Knight. So he passes one of the biggest hurdles to be a master. With Anakin as a Master and access to the Forbidden Force Healing section of the library to save Padme I don't think he can fall so easily, so we get answer 1.
9. Lego Star Wars, rebuild the Galaxy?
10. That happens in the legends series Dark Empire, he becomes Darth Luuke. Fun Fact it is thanks to Dark Empire that we have the Darth title for Sith Lords, originally it was just the first name of Darth Vader.
11. Nothing would change except Ahsoka sticking on with the Rebels crew for a few more adventures. And we wouldn't get one of the best fights in all of star wars
12. It was too late for them to change anything. Order 66 was hours away. Maybe she could nudge Maul to join her in the Rebellion.
13 - 14. Not much would change for the crew or the plot. Kallus and Grand Inquisitor aren't huge players to make the impact last.
15. Man that would help the Rebellion a ton. A strategist on Thrawn's calibur would be a massive pain for the Empire but until Luke destroys the Death Star causing the Rebel Alliance to unite then he wouldn't be able to use his strategic brilliance to the fullest.
16. I assume you meant the Republic. Answer 1.
17. I think that happened for a while, but eventually Ezra and Thrawn had to part ways because being a ruthless fascist isn't something you can work aside to live with another.
18. He would be either an Inquisitor or Maul's apprentice. If they ever make a what if, I want to watch him and Maul take over the Galaxy.
19. Then I guess Palpatine loses, happy ending? Anakin after the war is over, leaves the Jedi Order to raise his children with Padme on Naboo happily ever after.
20. :) :) :) oh this happens. In Legends at least. I won't spoil things, go read the
Yuuzhan Vong War
I'm not the only one who thinks we need a Star Wars What If Show, right? And specifically these What If..?
What If... Anakin Skywalker didn't fall to the Dark Side?
What If... Padme Amidala was force sensitive?
What If.... Obi-Wan Kenobi became a Sith after Qui-Gon's death?
What If... Darth Vader lived at the end of Return Of The Jedi?
What If... Darth Maul left the Dark Side after Palpatine's betrayal?
What If... Padme Amidala lived in Revenge Of The Sith and raised Luke and/or Leia?
What If... Sheev Palpatine wasn't Darth Sidious?
What If... Ahsoka Tano didn't leave the Jedi Order?
What If... the roles were reversed? (every bad character is good and viceversa)
What If... Luke Skywalker fell to the Dark Side?
What If... Darth Vader didn't fight Ahsoka in Twilight of the Apprentice?
What If... Ahsoka Tano and Darth Maul became allies in Clone Wars?
What If... Alexsandr Kallus redeemed sooner?
What If... Kanan Jarrus saved Grand Inquisitor in Fire Across the Galaxy and he reluctantly became part of the Ghost Crew -just to stay alive- until he truly became a rebel?
What If... Thrawn became a rebel instead of an imperial?
What If... the Empire fell, but Anakin Skywalker didn't, and he had to raise Luke?
What If... Thrawn and Ezra had to put their differences aside to survive after Family Reunion – and Farewell?
What If... Ezra Bridger became a Sith?
What If... the Order 66 didn't happen?
What If... the Empire and the Rebellion had to work together to stop a threat, far more dangerous than the Empire ever was?

Just as I promised, a sugar analysis on Ladybug side of Marinette's character:
Now I know that after Strikeback there are some of you saying that she is a bad guardian and all but I want to break it in pieces starting from Marinette's role as Ladybug. Is she really as bad as you say she is?
Is Marinette a bad Ladybug?
Is that even a question?! This is the girl who thought she was not good enough until the girl she just met was in danger and this girl just swooped in and saved her. And after that the girl who bullied her for years was also in a life or death situation and Marinette saved her a$$ because she put her emotions behind. Other person's life was her priority regardless of who that was - the girl who was nice to her or the girl who wasn't. This is the girl who didn't take credit for the gift she gave to her crush because he would be crushed if he found out his father didn't give him a birthday gift that year. This is the girl who ALWAYS has to be everywhere and help everyone and do everything for everyone because she wants to. She is selfless and brave and generous.
This is also the girl who always no matter what happens can figure out what her lucky charm is for. Or she used it properly. I know I already talked about episodes when she calculates time and space (Backwarder, Timetagger), or episodes where she breaks the plot with her big brain (The Night Owl, Optigami), or when she unified every miraculous in Kwamibuster and pretend to be two people at the same time, but we don't give her enough credit for Strikeback. Because everyone is talking about "Ladybug failed oh no" but can we talk about how she recruit Adrien because he was presumably the only one who didn't have a tattoo (akuma) on his neck and she knew choosing someone like that would be safe AND she was careful not to cause a time paradox?! Even me, who was a hardcore Doctor Who, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow fan, always forget how time paradox works.
Here's the deal: She didn't go back in time to prevent the akumatization, she went back in time to figure out what the akumatized object is. Because if she caught the akuma in the past that same akuma would not exist in present day and she wouldn't have had the reason to go back in time so she wouldn't. And that's how time paradox works.
But like she knew it! She did it! She travelled through time once with Bunnyx and she immediately knew what to do the second time all by herself. I mean
!!! She's so clever and she thinks everything till the last detail like c'mon!
This also the girl who doesn't go like "I'm right you're wrong" when she knows she's not right, when she does something wrong, she will admit it, she will apologise. Those are not common traits. She KNEW Chloé is not a saint, she still decided to help her, she KNEW both her and Kagami are wrong, she stepped back, she KNEW both Lila and her were wrong, she offered Lila peace. That's not what everyone else would do. I'm talking only about Miraculous Ladybug, I'm talking about people. She's only a kid and she's alright better than at least 90% of adults in that show and about 2/3 people I know. If she was a bad person she wouldn't be able to be good Ladybug but she is the best Ladybug. We already had two other characters who tired to use her miraculous and they couldn't be as good as her. Marinette is the best and the only Ladybug. The og Ladybug of her generation.
She got the whole Paris to cheer for her when she messed up! She is THAT powerful.
Is Marinette a bad guardian?
From what can be seen in this picture clearly - and from this scene if you know the context - kwamis adore her. On her first day of being the guardian, Marinette was learning about kwamis and powers and she was worried if kwamis don't have enough space in the box so she let them fly around in her room. It's risky if someone sees them, but it's good for kwamis. She also put paper on her window so no would see kwamis when they walk pass her house. As someone a pet owner, they can be REALLY annoying when you're trying to sleep and if I had kwamis too I would lock them up while I sleep but she let them be free. Probably because she doesn't sleep a lot anyway. She brings kwamis different snacks and she even put the phone in the miracle box for emergencies! That is good. And I know I said this MILION times but THE HANDMADE SAFE WITH A LOCK!!! Gurl, I'm older than you but you're the one who taught me a lot of great things! Everyone can be a guardian but not everyone can be a good guardian. Marinette really cares about kwamis. She makes them tiny accessories...
This is cute af! 😍😍😍
She also took kwamis to see Fu again, because they asked her to. She helped Tikki with her chocolate cravings, something Tikki was ashamed of, and she shouldn't because that's relatable. I too go chocolate crazy sometimes. Not as crazy as her but a lot of us loves chocolate. And Marinette didn't blame her for it or lectured her, she offered her help and support. No one can say that Marinette treats kwamis badly and that's something that's really important for the role of the guardian. And all this is more than what Fu was doing for these little ones.
When Marinette revealed her identity to another miraculous holder she did it a) because she was desperate, b) because she knew she can trust Alya and c) because revealing her identity to Chat Noir or anyone who knows Chat's identity already would mean that once this person is akumatized, Hawk Moth will find out both of their identities in the same time. Marinette knew Hawk Moth knows Alya's identity already so she and Alya had a deal for Alya to go undercover so that not only Hawk Moth but also no one except for Ladybug would find out. That was responsible. You can't say it's not.
And she gave every superhero a miraculous after she knew them for a long time and knew she can trust them, she also asked them if they want to. She gave them a choice. Fu didn't do any of this.
She has a lot of potential but this is too early and she's too young. And it's not her fault that it's too early. She's in the wrong place at the wrong time and she needed more training and more studying and more practice and more experience as a hero first before she took the role of the guardian. Of course, for that, look at the man who gave her that responsibility and taught her that her life needs to depend on it, not her. She's trying.
Is Ladybug treating Chat Noir badly?
I put this here because Ladynoir dynamic is one of major things for Ladybug's autobiography and I got T-I-R-E-D of this salt take! And the reason for that is lame. "sHe DoEsN't NoTiCe He Is SaD" even this sentence is incorrect! She noticed, she asked him, and every time she asked he said everything is alright. She doesn't want to push and she doesn't read minds. She is doing her part of the job and only when she can and only when he lets her she's going to help him. And btw whenever she rejected his feelings it's because she doesn't feel the same way. Even in Glaciator 2 when she threw him - yes it was harsh, I love him too, I don't like to see him hurt - but do you're remember the episode Félix? When she punched Félix BEFORE she figured out it's not Adrien, when he tried to kiss her forcefully. She's gonna react like this to ANYONE when they want to kiss her without her consent, that's the line you should not cross not just Marinette, but with every person ever. That Glaciator 2 scene was annoying me to death bc people tell me my favourite character is abuser. Because she demands personal space, right? And don't get me started on "she's gaslighting Chat Noir" cuz do you even understand what "gaslighting" means?
You do realize that Ladybug not telling Chat Noir about Rena Rouge is not the same as Ladybug emotionally abusing him and manipulating him?
Ladybug was protecting Rena and herself here too. If she told Chat and he got akumatized, her biggest nightmare, remember? Remember when she got traumatised for life?
If Chat knew and got akumatized, he would've told Hawk Moth about Rena and Rena knows who Ladybug is so Ladybug would be toast and so will the whole world. I hope this clears it up.
And Kuro Neko? Chat Noir didn't show up and she doesn't know why, an episode earlier she argued with Su-Han that Chat Noir is reliable, and then Chat Noir disappeared after one argument. Same with NY special. What do you mean "Ladybug should've been nicer cuz he has abandonment issues". A) how is she supposed to know that and b) she has emotions and she should react. If someone didn't listen to her, if they made a deal and he didn't follow it, if it was important and it was, she should be angry. It doesn't matter who that is. Why do you always want her to adjust to everyone's childhood trauma, why is it never "this character should be nicer to Marinette as well, she's not the only one who needs to change, she deserves people to treat her better too". And since when do the same people who say "they should be equal" want Ladynoir dynamic to be only beneficial to one of them? Because that's not Ladynoir is about! We should totally just stab salters!
(I have to explain the last part is the Mean Girls reference for those who didn't get it because I got accused of slander against Marinette salters for saying it so just in case).

With 2021 ending, here are a ton of movies that I forgot to review cuz I am lazy and busy:
Free Guy:
Genuinely surprised, this movie was just a butt load of fun, the acting was good, it had a simple and easy to understand story, and overall was just a really fun movie.
Granted there were some jokes that don’t land, but overall still find it fun.
7.5/10
Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings:
This movie got me hyped, mainly because of how different it was going to be, and lets just say it didn’t disappoint.
Let’s start with the obvious one, the action is very nice, truly a nice change of pace from your typical MCU action.
They really went for a more Jackie Chan/ Bruce Lee kind of action, which I did appreciate.
But aside from the action, the characters were well developed and interesting, especially the main villain, this movie has a killer soundtrack, and overall was really good and fun.
Definitely one of the more better MCU solo films out there since Guardians Of The Galaxy.
9/10
Venom: Let There Be Carnage:
Now, when I first saw Venom like 3 years ago, I thought it was alright, it had it’s ups and it’s downs, but still thought it was alright.
As for it’s sequel…. Let’s just say that my thoughts on the first Venom didn’t change.
Again, this films had it’s ups and it’s downs.
First, it did improve everything about the first film, though in a much lesser sense, like some of the character interactions (mostly with Eddie Brock and Venom) were somewhat better than before (even if I thought it was also good in the first movie), and I like Woody Harrelson’s role as Cletus Cassidy A.K.A. Carnage, plus some of the action was nice, and pretty wild (such as the final battle) and that’s it.
But there were some issues, like Carnage’s origin was a bit weird, and just felt strange, some of the dialogue was also a bit weird, like some of the jokes, and also there were some moments were the acting were kinda cringe, but that’s pretty much it.
Overall, it was alright, not bad, but not good either.
5/10
The Matrix Resurrections:
Now before I had to watch the movie, I had to watch the OG trilogy, since while I do know about The Matrix, I don’t know that much about it’s lore, and some of the characters (well not the main ones, just some of the secondary ones).
And when I finally watched it, well much like what I thought with Venom 2, I thought it was alright.
Again not bad, but not good either.
First of all, it was nice to see a ton of comebacks and references to the OG trilogy, even if there were some changes, both Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss nailed it as both Neo and Trinity, I thought some of the changes I thought was interesting, and speaking of comebacks, it was nice to see a bunch of old characters return (like Niobe, The Merovingian, and Sati from Revolutions).
But that doesn’t come with a ton of issues:
For instance, the new Morpheus and Agent Smith are again a really good concept, but it felt unnecessary, and they could have just swapped them out, like maybe create a bunch of new characters, like what you did with characters like The Analyst, or Bugs.
Like I understand why they want to do it, but it felt so unnecessary.
And while the callbacks and references are appreciated, it does come at a cost when your bringing back a franchise that hasn’t been alive since 2003.
Much like what Space Jam 2 did, the references just felt forced and they pretty much tell that “Hey remember when this or this or this happened”
Like yea it was nice to see clips from the previous films, but you at least gotta keep it authentic with it.
Also the ending just felt incomplete, like I wasn’t satisfied, I was just left with a sense of: “oh… ok then.”
While yes it was pretty sweet that Neo and Trinity reunited, but it felt just weird and a little bit rushed, it could have been better and more emotional in my opinion.
Overall, the movie itself was just alright, and it honestly could have been worse.
5/10
Spider-Man: No Way Home (SPOILERS):
And to cap off the year, I got to watch No Way Home, and let’s just say, it was everything I ever wanted.
Obviously if you haven’t seen it yet, it will have a ton, and I mean A TON of spoilers, so I urge you to see it if you haven’t.
But for those who have…. Let’s keep on going.
First and foremost, I love the throwbacks and references from the previous Spider-Man movies, which while what I did say for both Space Jam 2 and Matrix Resurrections (earlier) would have been contradicting, here it felt authentic and doesn’t disrupt the flow of the whole story.
It doesn’t just constantly remind you that “Hey remember when this happened?” But instead it felt like it was apart of the movie, and just doesn’t feel out of place.
The villains were probably handled well as well, each of them had pretty good reasons, and were not just there to be either overshadowed or to have a minimal amount of screen time, instead their presence felt perfectly balanced and not too distracting.
And speaking of which, I guess it’s to talk about the biggest part of the whole movie……
Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man’s appearance.
Which had me shrieking like a little girl, and had me clapping, as well as everyone in the theater.
And man, was it nice to see them again, they were all great, and seeing all three of the Spider-people come together in one movie.
But besides all that, there is one thing I do wanna talk about with this movie, and that is how the entire movie felt like a huge rollercoaster to me.
The movie felt like it was stabbing me through the heart, it had a ton of emotion and heart in it.
Like we see some really emotional scenes, such as the death of Aunt May, when I saw that, I was just trying not to cry because, man it felt like I was speared in the heart.
On top of that there is this really inspirational and somewhat emotional scene, of both Tobey Magyars and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man, talking to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man about how it sucks to lose someone you love.
And the ending…. MY GOD THE ENDING WAS SOOOOO PAINFUL THAT MY HEART FELT LIKE IT WAS JUST SHATTERED INTO PIECES.
I’d never thought I would get that much emotional in a Spider-Man movie since TASM 2.
Overall this movie was amazing, and made my heart shatter to a million broken pieces.
9.5/10
And with that, those are my reviews of the movies that I had watched this year.
And let’s just say, it was a fun ride.
Getting to see some good movies was fun, but there were some that were ok, or not that good.
It was a busy year, and I hope 2022 has some pretty good movies to.
Happy New Year!

Dani’s Fic List
As promised for my 300 followers celebration, a list of all my active fics on Quotev! I think this is comprehensive. If there’s a fic that’s left off, that’s by accident. All of these are on my “published” list on Quotev.
For this story list, I’ll start with ones that already have links posted on here, then move to other lesser-known ones (below the cut). These are listed in no particular order at all.
@auradon-bore-a-don Since you asked to be tagged, here it is! Like 95% of this is all Descendants-related. It’s been my hyperfixation since the first book came out back in early summer 2015 and it’s stuck...
Behold, a bunch of nonsense that comes from an overactive imagination and no social life!

Okay, let’s do some Achi Initial Assessments for the new pokemon and forms for Legends: Arceus. These’ll just be based on appearance and flavor text, because I ain’t playing the game.
We start with Hisuian forms and then move on towards new pokes, as they’re listed on Serebii, for ease.
Hisuian Forms
Hisuian Growlithe- I think we can all agree this guy is pretty fucking cute. I’m not necessarily fond of the horn on the head, but it does bring the look together so I’ll allow it. And all the curls? Just a very nice contrast with the OG and also a good nod to I believe guardian lions? Live and work in pairs? Wonderful, beautiful, the worldbuilding you could build off that is perfection. Also, enjoy the way the shiny looks closer in color to the OG. 8/10, could better but overall a precious pupper.
Hisuian Arcanine- First time seeing and I think I am quite fond of this. The whole armor thing it’s got going, in the deep grey against the deep-colored fur? Very classy and giving me a samurai vibe. The additional two smaller horn on the head also are a great improvement on the single horn of Growlithe. Shiny here is a near match for the OG shiny, rather than for the OG, but I like that. Looking at the flavor text, it seem to tend towards hit-and-run tactics it look like, being described as leading it’s enemies in an almost dancing chase. 9/10, and not just because Arcanine in general is a favorite, loses a point for the carved wood look it’s got going.
Hisuian Voltorb- My child. My precious babu. The wood grain for the bottom half is just a joy, and the way they changed the shape of the eyes and made the brows like a wooden cut-out to change the feel of the pokemon? Love it, perfection. Add to that the shiny exchanges the red for black, that not only is lovely on it’s own but also contrasts nicely with the light brown? And releasing it’s electricity and laughing when it’s excited? Who couldn’t love. 10/10, I want like fifty. I’m an electric specialist it’s allowed.
Hisuian Electrode- The eyes are contained in a recessed shape in the body, I am going to die. And the mouth look painted on! The shape of the eyes and the form of the mouth really give off the impression of a pokemon that is just fucking done, and I can appreciate that. Shiny is same as Voltorb so, same love there. Flavor text says... 1) That it’s got the same surface composition as apricorns (you could do so much with that) and 2) it lets off charges with the power of 20 lightning bolts when aggravated. That’s my dream. 10/10, I want to be a Hisuian Electrode in my next life.
Hisuian Typhlosion- This one I’m having to go find a video of, because Serebii doesn’t have an image with the flames so... First off it’s a dual ghost type now? Have to give props to that I wouldn’t have expected it. Like the purple of the fur and the longer tail, and it’s expression just looks, sleepy or dopey. It’s cute. Looks like you could throw it a ball and it would just be confused. An interesting change from the OG. The flame collar goes all around the throat now, with pink flames that are smaller at the front but grow into a proper large crest from the back as one would expect. More flowy than sparky flames as well, as one would expect from a ghost-type. I don’t know if the shiny’s flames are a different color- if the OG is anything to go by no- but it’s nice to see it’s shiny color mimicking OG’s color. Flavor text says it supposedly purifies lost and forsaken souls, guiding them to the afterlife. Another 10/10, dopey weasel with a good and loving heart.
Hisuian Qwilfish- Of all the pokemon I didn’t expect. Can’t say I’m all that impressed with it. The changes are mostly to coloration and I’m just not digging the black/hot pink combo they’ve got going on, especially not with the tan underbelly. ‘It’s a dark type now’ bite me it’s awful. Giving it eye bags isn’t helping either, and the only change to the tail seems to be the removal of the two long spots to replace them with a six. Shiny coloration is, if anything, worse, as they replace the black and pink with with silver and blue-violet in just, uncomplementing shades. Flavor text is just that fisherman hate it because it spews poison everywhere. 2/10, me too, Hisuian fishermen, me too.
Hisuian Sneasel- So, you’re a fighting/poison type now? Well that certainly a change. Very purple now, with a dripping effect with the darker pruple on the claws and a roundedness to the masking on the face and patch over the chest and shoulders... Again there’s not really that much change from the original design. The claws are more curved maybe? I do like the consept of the shiny at least, that it seems to be inspired by both the OG and it’s shiny, but I’m not sure how I feel about it itself. With the blue gens, it doesn’t seem right. Flavor text implies it’s less viscious than OG Sneasel, and says the venom from it’s claws affects the nervous system. I say, 4/10, it’s just not changed enough from the OG and is pretty underwhelming on it’s own.
Hisuian Samurott- They made it a kirin. It’s a sleek and spiky water/dark type in darker tones with black and red accents instead of the more cream color you got with the OG. There’s not really much to say here I’m afraid, at least not for me. It’s less ripped than OG? There’s probably a lot of people who enjoy the change? The shiny seems to attempt to harken back somewhat in the shell colors, but not too much. It’s ‘hard of heart’ but that’s really all the flavor text seems to give us... 5/10, not bad overall but not quite changed enough and, like Qwilfish, trying too hard, like it came out of Hot Topic or something.
Hisuian Lilligant- And then we get this fucker! This is just a person! Where are your other two legs, Lilligant?! Why are your eyes so small? Your legs so blatant? I like the sorter ‘hair’ and smaller flower but wtf? You’re a fighting-type now? So what?! You can fight in a poofy dress (I will make a fighting-type in a poofy dress see if I don’t) and that’s no reason to be so, human! ‘Okay what about the-’ there are no shiny changes because there’s no real color changes in general. We get a bit of red but that’s because the fucker is wearing pants now. Flavor texts suggests the legs may be a result of living in deep snow, also says the scent of it’s flower heartens people. 1/10, not because it’s a bad design or it doesn’t look good but purely because this isn’t a pokemon, this is what you’d get if you asked the Zelda team to remake Folklore. As a Folk, it’d get 6/10.
Hisuian Zorua- Back to ones we’ve seen previous! This is a cute enough little thing. Very Zorua, but the long wispy fur makes it different enough int form to work, and it’s sad expression is a solid change of personality. Like the color scheme as well, with the white and pale grey fading into red, like the spirit of some slaughtered creature wandering the snow. The shiny as well, darkens the grey and brings in the blue from the OG shiny to replace the red once more, making it look less ‘murder victim’ and more ‘blue raspberry snowcone’, which it would probably appreciate. Flavor text is all about it being a spirit returned to this world and how it ain’t fucking happy about it. Can blame you kiddo, I’d be venting malice if I had to worry about weather again too. 7.5/10, leave it offerings and then leave.
Hisuian Zoroark- Okay the red spots on the white and grey? The wildness of the wispy mane? The sharpness of the face and claws in contrast with said mane? Quality, this thing would follow the Joker around waiting to kill him in the most dramatically appropriate method possible and then Harley would keep it in her apartment with the hyenas. Shiny darkens the grey again and brings back the OG’s purple which somehow makes it look more like an ax-murderer. Flavor text is all about how it looks like death come for you and attacks so viciously it takes chunks out of itself. 9.6/10, don’t bother with the offerings just play dead and scoot away slowly when it’s not looking.
Hisuian Braviary- It has so much ‘hair’. So much. The black and white color scheme isn’t bad, though the pink and blue eye crest sort’ve fades into it. Seems beefier than the OG as well. The shiny says ‘fuck white bits’ and just goes for all blacks, which makes the now all-blue crest really stand out, love the combo. Flavor text says it has a bloodcurdling battlecry and stuns fish with shockwaves before snatching them from the surface. 6/10, not bad, not great, not much going on.
Hisuian Sliggoo- The snail hath become extra snail! Seriously the only real change is that the shell has grown enormously and now Sliggoo can properly live in it, which it is. Good for Sliggoo. Also it’s far less impressed with life. Instead of the whole snail turning color with the shiny, instead the shell just goes from white to brown, which is nice. Ooo, flavor text confirms it’s melancholic as fuck and the shell is metallic! Which now that I look at the new typing makes sense, we have a new dragon/steel dual-type! 8/10, I’ve never been big on Sliggoo but I like this guy!
Hisuian Goodra- Slug Dragon God returns as Snail Dragon God! It’s tail is now contained in or has been transformed into a big-ass shell it lugs around. Otherwise, changes are the same as Sliggoo. Flacor text says it can control the hardness of it’s shell and is also incredibly clingy. Apparently if you leave it alone it throws a hissy fit of epic proportions. 7/10, still good but somehow not as good as Sliggoo.
Hisuian Avalugg- Oh my gods, Avalugg, what happened. I don’t even know where to start describing this. It’s a slightly more rounded Avalugg-shaped rock (makes sense, half rock-type now) with thicker legs and a lower jaw bigger than the rest of it’s head. One you could probably cut cheese on. It actually doesn’t look bad, but it certainly looks. I cannot word it y’all come here and check for yourselves. Apparently it’s chin armor than cut through steel and it essentially acts like a snowplow. 7/10, just for confusion factor and anti-snowdrift behavior.
Hisuian Decidueye- Grass/Fighting type and, certainly a thing. More of the change than the other two starters, with it’s cloak being very shortened, it’s claws far more prominent, and it’s head hidden under a hat. A lot of hat. Gone for more a red fall-ish color scheme as well, which works very nicely. Everything is in more muted tones, and even the shiny, which has gone back to the OG’s greens, is darker and more muted. Flavor text says air in it’s feather’s keeps it warm. Over all another solid 7/10, it looks like it would drift into my town, kick out all the corrupt bastards and their cronies, and drift away again on the wind leaving nothing but well wishes and pining Dartrix behind.
Non-Specific Forms
Dialga (Origin Forme)- It looks like Dialga had a tragic accident in a PS2 while getting far too familiar with Arceus. Shiny adds green. Apparently this has to be it’s true form, merged with Arceus, because it’s that damn strong. 1/10, if I saw this in my game I’d assume there was a glitch.
Palkia (Origin Forme)- Apparently when Palkia merges with Arceus it channels KnightChessmon, who knew? I fear for this pokemon. Supposedly it’s taking this form to try to get Arceus’s power which... 2/10, no you’re not a fever-dream nightmare but hun it’s still not worth it
Basculin (White Stripe)- Looks more salmony than red- or blue-stripe, and the stripe isn’t so much white as it is a very light blue, but I like it. Looks excited to be alive. Shiny gains a yellow-ish tint which isn’t too bad. Apparently it’s a gentle pokemon, but despite this it’s considered similar enough to other Basculin to be listed as a regional form. 10/10, a good fishy-fish.
New Pokemon
Wyrdeer- After 5000 years Stantler finally got an evo. Love how fucking fluffy it looks, like you could get lost in it’s mane. The antlers are more angular, but still nice enough. Shiny form goes for a more muted olivey green to go with Wyrdeer’s more muted browns incomparison to Stantler. Apparently it’s orbs shine when it’s erecting barriers and it’s fur make fantastic cold-weather gear. 9/10, with a point added for simply being an evolution for Stantler.
Kleavor- I have never been big on. It looks very much like a villain out of an old samurai film but for the most part it doesn’t impress me. But then Scizor doesn’t either so, what do I know. Shiny is green, axes are axes, yawn. Flavor text says it’s violent and you don’t wanna meet it int he woods. 4/10, I certainly don’t, they need to stop trying to improve on Scyther.
Ursaluna- I fucking missed you originally! I’m so sorry! I’m actually quite fond of this thing here. Very bulky, follows the trend so far of darker pokemon, and I’ve been wanting a bear pokemon that goes around on all fours. Until know we just had Stufful, but now Ursaring, who I was always just okay about, has a whole big bulky quadruped thing going on for it’s evo. I like the almost blanket-like patch on the back, and the sort’ve sunrays going on there. It’s just, very nice, it comes together well. The red of the shiny, also, I’m quite fond of, much moreso than the nasty greens of it’s pre-evos. Also it apparently can manipulate peat at will. 10/10, it’s a big-ass bear that manipulates peat how could you want more?
Basculegion- Has a male and female form, which gotta say I prefer the understated and more muted look of the female one. Shinys aren’t bad either, though I prefer the purple the male one turns to the yellow for the female one, goes better with the rest of the colors. Flavor texts talks about it being cloaked in the souls of it’s fallen comrades and how no other pokemon in the region can compare. 7/10 for the male form, 8/10 for the female, I quite enjoy them.
Sneasler- I am getting Dr Suess vibes. This is the Onceler’s chronicly ill cousin. I do like that it’s feather ear has elongated and become floppy, it really fits the more melancholy mood of this pokemon. Not very impressed with the shiny though, if just all yellow and not even the pretty yellow. Apparently they had ‘virulent poison’ and ‘physical prowess’ and are antisocial as fuck. 4/10, Gardevoir for the Tumblr era.
Overqwil- They took Hisuian Qwilfish and made it More. I’m not even sure these images are real despite being on Serebii I can’t make heads or tails of what the fuck is supposed to be going on with it’s face. Oh, wait! I’ve noticed a change! The six on the tail is a ‘Q’ now. Apparently it’s a dick, nicknamed the ‘sea fiend’ and it eats poison. 1/10, great I can’t even fucking kill it.
Enamorus- I am looking at this and y’all, y’all, I think they made a female counterpart to the Unova weather trio? And made it 80% pink? And skinny? With a heart motif? And a snake? And fucking lipstick? And it’s Therian forme is... I don’t even know what that’s trying to be? Some sort’ve turtle? With a cloud and a snake for a shell? It’s fucking eight inches tall? Shiny color is, it’s more pink, lighter pink, who cares. Flavor text says that the ‘feminine humanoid form’ (their words not mine) brings Spring and love, while the weird turtle metes out divine punishment for people who disrespect life and living things. 2/10, guys I love turtles I want to support a turtle legend but dear gods. One point for turtle, that’s all I can do.

THT: Threnody
20 maps for Doom 2.
By various authors, lead by Chris Hansen.
2016
MAP01: Eirene by Chris Hansen
We start this megawad with an entry by the legend Chris Hansen. This medium sized map quickly introduces us to a style that is quite appreciable and sweet to admire, with solid visuals that combine a bit of vanilla design with a few new textures that bring new life to the map. The layout is as simple as it is attractive, offering small deviations from the path that reward us with new items, as well as interesting and well-balanced encounters. A great and fun map. 4/5
MAP02: Rockage by Ilya Lazarev (joe-ilya) and Chris Hansen
With a similar premise to the previous map, this level has a sensible but sensitive design that is quite satisfying to admire. The combination of interiors and exteriors is well done, as well as a good variety of rooms that is complemented by a modest layout that doesn't complicate things. The gameplay is slightly upped in difficulty to offer a little more variety of encounters by making use of traps. All in all, a good and decent quick level. 3/5
MAP03: Chemical Facility by Paul Corfiatis
A combination of the previous two maps in a larger and more diverse context. With deep paths and an interconnected layout, this medium-large map offers more diversity in terms of combat and gameplay, delivering several zones that are connected under a good design scheme with a decent and fluid style. 3/5
MAP04: Manly Hatred by Chris Hansen
An interesting graphical style results in a modest and pleasant level in terms of visual aspects, which at the same time offers a layout that, despite being somewhat complicated and unusual, gives us a certain sense of adventure and offers interesting combat. 3/5
MAP05: Nukevil by Adam Post (Doomkid)
Fun, fast and simple. A lovely adventure that contains both a challange and a good-looking map. 4/5
MAP06: Cut Throat by Adam Post (Doomkid)
As an evolution of the previous map that reveals itself in a larger size, greater challenge and more fun. This map combines excellent areas with natural design that give a refreshing feeling, as well as an explosive gameplay that grows with each new and different room. 5/5
MAP07: Fort Halderman by Gothic
Big and violent at times, but with interesting visuals and a good graphic theme. This is a large map with over 300 demons that can take a bit of time to complete, especially due to the layout that requires a lot of backtracking. 3/5
MAP08: Fightnancial Crisis at Enwrong by dobu gabu maru
This is a massive level that bleeds detail into sheer absurdity. If you are one of those who enjoy looking at a map designed with absolute attention to every single centimeter, you will feel incredibly good about this map. A visual treat that unfortunately suffers from somewhat lackluster gameplay and a super complex layout that hinders the flow of the gameplay. 3/5
MAP09: Forgotten Reaches by Adam Post (Doomkid)
Atmospheric and tight, but full of excellent combat in a setting so varied that the evolution and rhythm of the map is incredibly dynamic and enjoyable. 4/5
MAP10: Fomalhaut by Brett Harrell (Mechadon)
Giant and brutal. A huge brown fortress that goes into a kind of valley surrounded by mountains, with a system of caverns and outdoor areas, as well as a huge graphic detail that give a magnificent flavor to this map. Unfortunately, the sheer size of the map means that it has an incredibly cryptic layout to manage and difficult to understand paths, as well as a few traps and encounters that feel repetitive. With a somewhat dick-ish slaughter ending, this is a visually appeasing map but one that disappoints me personally in terms of gameplay. 3/5
MAP11: Parallel Dimension by Seongbae Park (antares031)
As the name suggests, this map makes use of parallel dimensions to transport us to a level developed with care and good attention to detail, being elevated in an excellent visual touch and a complementary look. Unfortunately, you have to reach a point where you have to wonder if it's worth sacrificing certain elements to get that visual quality; while the combat feels intense and well developed, the confusing teleportation system and complicated path system make this map one with an incredibly dull and complicated layout for its own good. 3/5
MAP12: WormHell by z0k and Fonze
Big, dark and gothic. A particularly designed style that creates an excellent atmosphere, establishing a clear influence that combines different styles that complement each other quite well. With constant and tight combat, this map flows pleasantly thanks to an understandable and accessible layout. It can be tiring at times, but rewards it with nice fun. 3/5
MAP13: Binde Haldetmand Palae by Paul Corfiatis
Short and gothic. A style quite reminiscent of Hexen. This small map makes use of a good combat system thanks to a well-defined layout and a progressive gameplay that remains constant. Entertaining and attractive, combining excellent rooms and height changes. 4/5
MAP14: Labour of Despair by Philip Brown (Liberation)
Charmingly large but with a magnitude wide enough to give you a good sense of freedom. Some somewhat annoying paths at times, including pools of blood that slow us down, but with good, entertaining and challenging combat that culminates in a solid final arena. 3/5
MAP15: TY45-15 by Didy
Solid medium sized level set in a medieval city with touches of dark fantasy. The gothic design permeates the environment and delivers a fantastic map in terms of visual style, along with good gameplay that delivers fun encounters and a layout understandable enough to not compromise the fun factor. 4/5
AP16: Ayahuasca by Chris Hansen
Lovingly detailed and with a tight design that promotes the personal. It exudes ambiance and features a fascinating design that expands through a solid layout. Explosive combat makes this a challenging but enjoyable map. 4/5
MAP17: Tyvivec by Angry Saint
Massive in terms of its outlook. A set of islands with fortresses linked by bridges in an ocean of lava. An epic view in every sense along with a brutal gameplay that punishes for certain moments in unexpected traps. Progress feels balanced and features solid moments but is at times a bit difficult to navigate. 3/5
MAP18: Fallen Steward - Eternal Archive by Mithran Denizen
Medium but chaotic. It throws us into an explosive combat from the beginning, giving us a constant and brutal combat for the entire duration of the game. With a small progression system that goes down relatively in difficulty, this is a short but nice map. 3/5
MAP19: Big Freaking Guardians by Fonze and Didy
Gigantic and extremely beautiful to admire. Full of details and variation of visuals, giving it a very dynamic and entertaining progress. On the other hand, it is a challenging and exhaustive map. You can expect 30 minutes of gameplay on this. 3/5
MAP20: Sky Pillar by Seongbae Park (antares031)
An explosive ending to an explosive WAD. MAP20 is a big yet compact level with a great dynamic progression that allows for multiple combats at a time while still retaining a focus on progressing the level. The fantastic visuals evoke an eerie feeling that plays right into the overall theme. 4/5
End.
Overall:
» THT: Threnody (2016) By various authors led by Chris Hansen
A collection of 20 maps makes this a respectfully large megawad that works in the style of Community Project, with the difference that the authors have managed to work under a fairly cohesive factor that gives a certain palpable identity to THT. Speaking of THT, this is also a WAD in the form of a tribute to one of the legends of the community, one of our greatest pillars and fantastic creator. THT stands for Ty Halderman Tribute, creator of the iconic TNT mappers group and also the maintainer of /idgames archive from 1997 to 2015. That's an amount of effort that very, very few of us in the community will ever manage to encompass. That's a lifetime of providing us with both content and pure hard work. This WAD is a dedication to Ty, a love letter of sorts that without needing to be an exact replica of his past works, has certain monuments to his legacy. A WAD that contains a particularly special essence, let's see what it is all about, shall we?
With 20 maps in total, created by legends like @antares031, the didactic @Chris Hansen, the passionate @Doomkid or the extra prolific @pcorf (just to mention a couple of the ones I've played before) this megawad leaves no loose reins and brings with it a pretty special cast, who working under the direction of Chris Hansen, managed to create something with a touch of palpable identity that at the same time works as an excellent museum of memories to all that many of us have appreciated thanks to Ty. Mainly, we have to frame that this WAD makes special use of textures created by TNT, the OG group, as well as a few references to other projects that can be found within the repertoire of Ty's work. Each map is a blast in terms of its visual design, delivering such a dynamic variety of visual themes that it becomes a complete visual pleasure in every encounter; even the small and short maps have such an attractive design that it makes us want to create a photo gallery of this megawad alone. This is in part thanks to the incredible texture set that manages to combine a perfect blend between the classic gothic style ala Hexen and a bit of pure Doom technology. Like a discordant dichotomy of two separate styles that together manage to establish themselves quite well. It's common to find more than one TNT logo there and then, and every time we look at them we probably end up smiling either from nostalgia or simple charisma.
The maps are, to put it simply, barbaric. The first set starts off slow, setting up a dynamic progression with a little extra challenge and a UV that gives us an idea of the type of combat we'll encounter as we progress. After the first 10 or so maps, things get more violent and at the same time more spectacular. MAP10: Fomalhaut by Brett Harrell (@Mechadon) is probably the wake-up call that will make us realize what kind of beast we have. This gigantic map is a work of detail and fortifications, combining lavish combat with somewhat bogged down but always steady progress. @antares031 also delivers huge maps of magnificent dimensions and incredible themes. MAP11: Parallel Dimension is probably one of the most unique and attractive maps we will find in the set, as well as a challenge that will ask for patience. MAP12: WormHell by @z0k and @Fonze is another giant that combines very well a 90s style that evolves to reveal a gothic work. MAP19: Big Freaking Guardians by @Fonze and @Didy takes the prize in terms of violence and magnitude, a huge map in every sense that will undoubtedly make us suffer through an adventure in the beautiful dimensional spaces of TNT. These are huge maps, violent and somewhat frustrating at times, but with an attention to detail and absolute visual glory that make us feel in another world. As I said before, a photo gallery. Of course, it's not all beastly here, we also have modest, short and simple maps that will deliver a rich pleasure in what we could describe as a quickie. MAP01: Eirene by @Chris Hansen, the first map, delivers an excellent moment of fun in a short but dynamic and constant level of pure balanced action and welcome for all types of players. MAP05: Nukevil by Adam Post (@Doomkid) and all his maps, are excellent examples of medium to short maps that work as excellent points of intermission where the balance between gameplay and aesthetics is perfectly succeeded in total linearity of evaluations. Nothing beats the other, and everything beats the other at the same time. MAP13: Binde Haldetmand Palae by @Paul Corfiatis is another great example of a short map with a compact design that evolves on itself, offering an excellent hard to miss layout that never stops progressing, while giving us an excellent visual style. These are some of my favorite maps, maps that work as well in their gameplay factor as they do visually, and of course, I can't forget the last one: MAP20: Sky Pillar by Seongbae Park (@antares031) is a magnificent work that ends this megawad in an arena of eternal confines where melancholy combines in the air with the blood of eternal demons under the autumnal sky of a forgotten hell.
While the megawad is designed in the form of a tribute, it does not attempt to replicate Ty's style exactly, nor copy directly from his creations; on the contrary, it chooses a system of references so subtle that they function like little poems whispered in silence. As we move forward, we will see things that remind us of his great contributions, while at the same time we play with the vague notion that we were already in this place once. A kind of dream that we never dreamed, and in that this megawad manages to carry that fantastic tribute idea.
On the other hand, while the megawad is a marvel for the eyes, I'm sure it won't be to everyone's taste for those who prefer to focus on the gameplay. Only 20 maps, but you can expect about 5 hours of gameplay in UV, counting deaths. The final maps are incredibly long and challenging, giving us an excellent beating if we are not prepared for it, to the point that many will have to rely heavily on trial-and-error to overcome these maps. This, added to the sad side effect of large, layous and confusing maps, makes the levels often feel overcomplicated for what they are, punishing the player with an unstable, tiring and extremely long progress. But then I get to thinking, isn't Eternal Doom like that? Maybe it's all part of the tribute, who knows. One way or another, if you want to throw yourself into this megawad, I think I can tell you with a firm hand to do so. It's not just a simple project, it's one made with dedication, passion and a lot of love. The maps you will find here are of a higher quality than normal, and each one of them feels like a long and memorable adventure.
I may have felt quite frustrated at times thanks to the constant hordes of enemies and the pseudo-slaughter gameplay at times, but every stage made it worthwhile. On the other hand, I'm capable of putting up with punishing combat, but confusing layouts? That really kills my patience, but I understand that sometimes the glory and fun lies in this singular aspect, the exploration and the feeling of being lost. On the other hand, don't let my words sound so extreme, this isn't Eternal Doom either, but you will need to pay attention and take note of where you've been and where you're going. If you like that, then you will love it. But even if you don't, let me tell you that I had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the megawad. It's a long, but satisfying adventure that ends on a nostalgic note through space and time, like a dimensional goodbye from mirrors we don't see. A fine tribute that I'm sure Ty would love.

Jame Roberts’ Instagram Q&A -November ‘18
Right.
So.
- Back in MTMTE #15, when the original Rewind got locked in the Slow Cell with Overlord, he suddenly learned how to shrink while he transformed. This was not an ability he previously had, as shown in, for example, MTMTE #2, when Tailgate sees Rewind for the first time (before Swerve introduces him to CDRW) and remarks that he can see a “giant memory stick” in the distance. However, the fear that Rewind felt in that moment triggered his ability to shrink to the size we see him in, like, LL #25, for example. This helps him survive both Overlord and the shots fired off by Chromedome, and so he, along with Overlord, is recovered by the Galatic Council. Overlord is seen as too dangerous, so Rewind is chosen as the guinea pig for an experiment the Galatic Council are trialling; an experiment that would allow them to “punch holes” into alternate universes. Since they want to use Rewind as a weapon against the Black Block Consortia (and other enemies of the council, such as other Cybertronians), the technology is built into a suit of armour meant to resemble Primus (this suit of armour was built in the same vein as the Magnus armour, in that it made so that a small robo could pretend to be this big, famous robo and not, like, the sentai suit dealio I had originally envisioned when JRo was describing this. this was done because they rightly assumed that seeing Primus land in the middle of a battlefield would scare the royal shit out of everybody, most especially other Cybertronians, who have the cultural context to know who the fuck he is.)
So, then, it worked, and Rewind made it into the past?? of another dimension (that wasn’t the Functionist universe), but then it malfunctioned and he got trapped there. He had fight his way back to the original universe by travelling through a bunch of other alternative universes (there would have been an interlude during the Mutineers Trilogy where we saw Rewind 1 travelling through the Marvel 2006 universe). At first, he was travelling back to the OG universe was so he could be reunited with his conjux (he met other Chromedome's along the way, but he wanted to find his Chromedome), but as he was travelling, he discovered Chromedome’s secret; that he had helped in the cover-up of Dominus’ murder, and so it became more complicated (he kinda wanted to avenge Dominus.) This would’ve all culminated in an issue where Rewind 1 finally made it back the original universe. As has been previously established, only one Rewind can exist at the one time, so Chromedome would've had to decide which Rewind would be cancelled out, all while Rewind 2 (and by extension, the audience) would’ve learned from Rewind 1 what Chromedome did to Dominus, which would’ve complicated things even further.
JRo came up with this idea before he began writing MTMTE, but by the end of season one, he was starting to become uncertain about this particular storyline, as Rewind, Chromedome and their relationship began to develop. Having Chromedome do this to Rewind started to feel wrong. After talking to his editor at the time (Carlos, I believe?), he decided to leave in the scene with Chromedome and Prowl, where Prowl threatened blackmail and Chromedome used Shadowplay to erase the blackmail from his memory, just in case he still wanted to go through with it. However, by the time it came to the final stretch of issues, he already so many other plot points to introduce, explain and tie up, he didn’t have time to do all three for Rewind 2 and his ultra-complicated, high concept adventures, and deal with the complications it brought with it to the cast, so he was forced to drop it.
So, with that out of the way, here are the more breezy answers:
- Megatron didn’t have a mentor who taught him medicine in the Warren, he taught himself everything he knows about treating people because he’s “the most ferocious autodidact.” (i stan a legend)
- Ratchet would still be the better medic though
- Megatron specialised in neurology
- Flame survived the events of LL #24
- The only reason Functionist Universe! Orion and Terminus were killed was because of time restraints
- Making Drift and Ratchet’s relationship a romantic one started feeling right around their return in the Remain in the Light arc, but JRo didn’t really decide that they were definitely conjux endura until he began writing LL #25
- Rewind’s colour changing pants are now (dubiously) canon (”Chromedome is fascinated; he might be an outlier.”)
- Admitted a couple of times, once again, that he wished he hadn’t killed Trailcutter
- If a Cybertronian is gifted a vial of innermost energon and survives whatever near-fatal injury or illness they had, they have the option to either keep it, as a reminder of the love they and the donor share, or they can regift the donor’s innermost energon to them. If they do indeed die, the most common practice is to donate the innermost energon (as Ratchet did posthumously in #25)
- “Sorry, I’ve seen ‘Chromedome is a bottom’ on the screen and that’s thrown me.”
- When asked if he’d change anything if given the opportunity to rewrite the series, he admitted that there were “a bunch of things”, which included:
* Spacing out events more, most especially near the beginning of MTMTE, where so much was happening that it all felt “a bit busy”, and the Crucible arc
* Writing more stories about the tertiary cast (eg. Spotlight: Hoist) to really sell the fact that this was a ship with 200 mechs on board (the main cast would still have had their own quirky adventures going on in the background)
* An example of such a story would’ve been having an issue focusing on the writer behind the Lost Light Insider
* More stories with the Mutineer’s
* Give the Scavengers an entire tradeback to themselves in Season 3, encompassing an entire arc he’d had planned for them
* He wouldn’t have “decapitated Red Alert like that”
* Having the charisma parasites being followed up by Swearth “didn’t do him any favours as they were three very high concept issues one after the other”
* Would’ve seeded more mentions of the Guiding Hand in MTMTE (though not in Lost Light, which had enough, he felt)
* More Star Saber (longer fights with different characters)
* Way more Roller!
* Show Cyclonus’ recovery from his injuries in #47 more as more of a slow, arduous process instead of an “Oh, he’s fine now” dealio
* Would’ve liked to pull off the Troja Major two-parter better
- [SPOILERS FOR IDW’S UNICRON SERIES]
When asked who’s death Megatron would be most cut-up about, Optimus, Soundwave or Starscream, JRo said he’d take Stasrcream’s the worst, as the two had “unfinished business” (the new Pacifist Megatron wanted to reconcile with Starscream). Though Soundwave was listed last on the “who'd Megatron would mourn the most” list, he also said that he’d be “proud of what Soundwave did”
- On a more lighthearted note, he said that Stan Bushs’ Dare was playing in Rodimus’ head during his “Til All Are One!” montage in the 2012 annual
- Cyclonus is, unfortunately, no longer rich, because much of his wealth came from Tetrahexian real estate (as stated in the prose story Signal to Noise, packaged in Volume 4 of MTMTE), and the value kinda dropped after Unicron, you know, destroyed the whole planet (though he also said it’s more than likely he and Tailgate invested in real estate on New Cybertron)
- Said that if Rodimus and Drift had been amica endura “no one would’ve batted an eye,” (and that they would’ve completed the ceremony off-screen)
- Rodimus was originally going to sacrifice himself in Crucible to stop the Omega Guardians from using the Warren to enter our universe and take it over. (”Even saying that is making me yawn”) Everyone would’ve thought Rodimus was already dead, and as such, another, unnamed character would’ve gotten credit for his sacrifice. Rodimus would’ve known this, and sacrificed himself anyway.
- “You’re all [unapologetic] shippers and I salute you.”
- As he stated on Twitter before, he’d have liked to include a scene between Cyclonus and Drift, where Drift proclaims his new respect for Cyc after seeing his Great Sword. This scene would’ve happened around the Remain in the Light arc.
- “Are you guys still talking about Chromedome being a bottom? Oh my god.”
- In a fight between Drift and Cyclonus, Cyclonus would win.
- When asked who he’d ship Rodimus with, he said that Rodimus was an interesting case, as he’d actually be quite well-versed in the area of romance, unlike the rest of the cast, and that he “wouldn’t pine for people.” In the end, he ended up choosing Roller.
- Getaway didn’t make up the Conjux rites; they’re real
- Rodimus’ flame abilities are not an outlier ability, but an upgrade he got along the way (he compared it to getting a really excessive tattoo). The ability is really painful and uses up a lot of Roddy’s energy.
- When asked what he hoped from the next continuity, he said that he wanted it to continue to be inclusive “in every sense of the word”, specifically pointing out the LGBTQIA+ representation as something he wanted to see continued.
- “Yeah, Springer’s pretty hot.”
- First Aid has a crush on crush on Springer (as does JRo)
- Cyclonus is legitimately a great singer. It’s that his abilities are more of the operatic kind, meaning “he is not always appreciated by the uncultured”
- “[A fan] says that Lost Light is a love letter to fan fiction, which it absolutely is”
- When a fan asked why (to paraphrase) Roller was just so dang hot, JRo said that “Roller just has that effect on people thanks to Jack’s lascivious designs” (and before you go off and google it, lascivious is defined as “feeling or revealing an overt sexual interest or desire”)
- Drift’s wealth was made through bounty hunting
- Brainstorm and Chromedome might have been amica endura, but that Chromedome felt “burnt out” from his various failed relationships, both platonic and romantic.
- No one even has a “Rung-shaped gap” in their memory after LL #24. They honestly can’t remember where the various matrixes came from, as is the case with all the things Rung was responsible for. They all blame it on memory creep and have each come up with their own contradictory explanations as to how and why these things happened.
- When asked if Swerve liked The Big Bang Theory, JRo replied with a swift “No, he has a brain”
- Instead, he said Community was Swerve’s favourite show
- Cybertronian weddings are “very long”
- There was a lot singing at Cyclonus and Tailgate’s wedding
- Brainstorm and Perceptor’s wedding, meanwhile, “would be very complicated” because “they’d be trying to outdo each other in subtle ways”. It would “make for a good sitcom episode.”
- Roddy’s favourite meme is “the butterfly one”
- Rung’s favourite meme is “the woman looking confused with algebra in front of her face”
- Swerve is over memes
- “[Drift’s thighs] are certainly impressive”
- Swerve is “destined to have many friends”
- Whirl and Cyclonus most certainly became amica endura after LL #25
- Swerve got Misfire’s number in the end
- Though he said many times in the lead up the end of this continuity that this was his last time writing for Transformers, he said he would like to write a 12 issue series centred around a character he didn’t name, and then later admitted that he wanted to try to convince IDW to let him write another series. He also said that is there was ever a Grand Collecter’s edition of the series (that collected all the issues, prose stories, additional stories from other series etc into one or two hardback editions, for example), he’d write an additional prose story to make it worth people’s money
- Hoist confirmed the Lost Light’s resident furry
- “Tailgate is the cutest? Yes, he’s a little marshmallow.”
- In his final days, before his execution, Minimus would’ve taken his poetry to Megatron so that he could read it (he would’ve also read Minimus’ poetry on the Alt! Lost Light, though assumedly under far less tragic circumstances)
- Getaway was considered the hottest mech on all of the Lost Light, with Skids as a close second. Together, they were “a hot duo.”
- Functionist Universe! Anode was a brilliant war general
- Nickel had a girlfriend before her homeworld was destroyed
- Rung can’t dance (we been knew)
- Crankcase and Con4Eva did hook up in the original universe
- “Does Rung know we love him? No - he’s very lonely”
- No one in the cast likes all of the Shrek movies, but all of them like the first one.
- Chromedome and Brainstorm met each other the New Institute (which was my question answered :D)
- Roddy would eat Doritos if he could
- Not a single Transformer (in the IDW-verse) would like Trump
- The worst film that Roddy likes is Caddy Shack
- Terminus would’ve never admitted that he was lying to Megatron
- Unfortunately, the song Boogie Wonderland by Earth, Wind & Fire never made it to the Lost Light
- “Who would make the best romantic partner? Depends on your taste.”
- JRo’s favourite superhero is Spiderman, his favourite TF toys as a kid were Hot Rod & Sandstorm and Nautica is his favourite character (from MTMTE/LL)
- Megatron, does indeed, both give the best hugs and deserves hugs!
- “You’re a tactile, compassionate, thirsty bunch, aren’t you?”
- Tailgate, Swerve and Rewind would all play Fortnite
- Drift and Ratchet would’ve opened a “clinic” together (the question asker was unintentionally vague, so JRo was intentionally vague with his answer)
- Drift thinks that Ratchet was the one who made the first move, while Ratchet thinks Drift was
- Ratchet and Drift would’ve been together for “decades and decades” before Ratchet died
- While Nautica/Skids still isn’t canon, he did confirm that Skids’ feelings for Nautica were romantic in nature
- While Jack Lawrence bases many of the characters’ mannerisms on his own, he bases Rung’s mannerisms off of JRo’s, which doesn’t help his “anti-mary-sue argument.”
- I can’t remember the exact quote, but when asked what it’d be like to have Whirl as a roommate, he said something along the lines of “you’d have a crush on him even though you’d hate him.”
- In case it wasn’t clear enough in the text itself, Whirl rejected Ratchet’s hands because of a shift in how he saw his own disability. He no longer saw it, and by extension, himself, as a “deficiency” that needed to be “fixed”
- JRo pronounces “Omega” as “Oh-me-gah”. This is important information to include.
And then the livestream ended with JRo saying we all “need a cold shower” after all this “fervent shipping” and went off to finish his half a pint of Corona. (what a legend)
Feel free to add in any answers or details I missed.

!!ENDGAME SPOILERS AHEAD!! Since I did it last year with Infinity War and now that I’ve seen Endgame twice here are my ramblings:
But before we begin apparently I accidentally predicted Endgame’s title during my IW ramblings and then completely forgot about it...
-so like that friggin beginning tho poor Clint like the entire movie. Agreeing with a favorite YouTube movie reviewer of mine, this was really Clint’s shining movie despite his uh- downward turn for a bit there -but on the bright side I’m glad his older kids’ names are canon now; like legit I thought those (Cooper and Lila) were made up by the fanfictioneers. Maybe they were and the writers were like ‘huh okay less work for us- yoink’ -then Nebula and Stark playing table football that was adorable. The shiny paper reminded me of that one Chris Hemsworth gif you know the one of him making a face at his reflection? -and heck yes Carol coming in hot to save the day what a legend -woohoo go get Thanos time -and he’s just in a frickin farm in a T-shirt (a T-SHIRT?!?) collecting some fruits and starting a new YouTube cooking channel -“what’s up half of the universe today we’re making weird bumpy fruit stew” -but heck yeah Thor cut off that guy’s head -and then just like whoa five years later. I usually can’t stand time jumps but it’s alright. It really gives a perspective of ‘yeah the world isn’t better with half its population. Everyone’s so sad’ -good job of Steve starting a therapy group tho even if he doesn’t take his own advice -I can’t believe a rat saved Scott talk about lucky -unless that rat was actually Loki -just sayin -and the bike kid: “wouldn’t you like to know weatherboy” -I forget how old Cassie was in Antman and the Wasp but +5 years to that I guess. She looks a bit too old to me but what do I know. I’m very glad she didn’t disappear though cuz I love Scott very much and I don’t want him to go through that -tbh Scott saved everyone cuz he had the time travel idea in the first place. I love an optimistic boy -UHBUHH I HAVENT TALKED ABOUT CAROL’S HAIRCUT YET UM HECK YEAH -it’s very good I’m very gay -anyway -I liked Nebula’s prominence in this movie she’s growing on me but of course it doesn’t take a lot on account of me loving robots (cyborgs?) so much -getting the band back together! -baby Morgan Stark/Potts was Very Good -ohmygod Thor -so chub -I was annoyed being without beefy Thor the first time, but rewatching it though I thought his Look was maybe not only reflecting his depression (cuz yeah) but maybe mythological Thor? Like I’m just throwing spaghetti at the wall but maybe in actual Norse myth Thor was (well, actually a redhead) that chub/beef combo but he did have the fluffier beard that MCU Thor had this time. Idk, like I said- spaghetti -Valkyrie’s back! Love her -they call her that though? Isn’t that what she is- like her job? Does she not have a name? Could have sworn it was Brunhilda or something -and Korg and the sharp bug guy are back too! Love them -friggin playing Fortnite -jokes aside though I do love that deep look into Thor’s guilt throughout the whole movie. Like he thought killing Thanos would just make everything better but it didn’t and just couldn’t deal and would rather drink to forget -Clint’s guilt was also interesting, like showing that ‘oh god he could really go there, he could get this bad given the circumstance’ -just Blade Runner-ing all around Tokyo -I haven’t seen Blade Runner but it has neon lights and rain right? -but yeah I do like the “the Snap took away good people and bad people but like it could have just took bad people and since it didn’t I’ll have to instead” -sad boy -he was very uh ‘Magnus rushes in’ if you will, during this movie. Not caring for a lot of it if he lived or died cuz he’d lost so much -god he was good in this movie -anyway -I also called the time travel:
-it still doesn’t completely make sense to me though? Like time travel is confusing enough but adding in a multiverse just makes it even more so -I loved the revisiting the old movies! -low key wanted an Age of Ultron revisit so we could have OMG we could have seen Pietro again -still on the #bringbackpietromaximoff train guys -but anyway we could have seen some good Wanda scenes and also my boy Vision again -but it did make more sense to get the three in NY at the same time -it was real cool to see the bald wizard lady (Minerva from TAZ Amnesty) defending the wizard building during 2012 Avengers- like that is so believable and now we can watch 2012 Avengers and be like “oh hey the wizards were there” -“that is America’s a**” I love how much Scott hero-worships Steve like we saw that in Civil War and yes it’s so funny and I love it its great -Steve vs Steve fight?? Great -“I can do this all day.” “Yeah yeah I know.” -And again, we can totally watch 2012 Avengers again and be like ‘yes meeting with Secretary Pierce and the other Shield guys- this is totally believable, it’s exactly what would have happened we just didn’t see it.’ -the elevator scene! I thought for sure Steve was gonna do the “now before we begin does anyone want to get out” but the “hail hydra” was just as good -“they’re hydra but we don’t know that yet” “they Look like bad guys!!” -and I guess Loki using the Tesseract to escape during that scene is setup for a... tv show? He’s gonna be wreaking havoc through time and space I guess?? Glad he’s back though -anyway revisiting more movies -friggin Guardians 1 -Quill singing Come and Get Your Love really badly cuz all we heard was the actual song and OhmyGOD that was hilarious -I’m glad Rhodey and Nebula got on a team cuz they can be prosthetic buddies -but did Nebula just not tell Clint and Nat that one of them would have to die for the Soul Stone? Or did they know and just not wanna talk about it till it came up? -TBH I though the ‘lose someone you love for the stone’ requirement would have been filled by both Clint and Nat already cuz Clint could have been like “um my dude do you even know how much I’ve lost already??” -apparently not though -Nat’s hair was great for the time travel parts I liked the red fade to white -though it was a sad and intense moment with Clint and Nat deciding who of them had to die it was also sweet cuz you can see how much they care for each other -and I was- well not glad but I really wanted Clint to see his family again -not that The Avengers weren’t his family -that friggin line “did she have family?” “Yeah. Us.” GOD -and then there’s that whole rigamarole with double Nebulas and oh Gamora’s back too -again time travel/the whole multiverse thing apparently doesn’t make sense to me so I’m just gonna gloss over it as much as I can until I can get more into it later -anyway the other time travel to the 1950s! -cool callback to Winter Soldier like you could see Zola going into the bunker -like So many people were there at the Camp Lehigh (idk if that’s how it’s spelled) like Everybody was there -good good moments with Tony and his dad -I thought it would have been cool for Tony to have given his dad the inspiration for his own name but oh well. Maybe that wouldn’t have even worked with time travel and all -Steve’s prank call to Hank Pym that was funny “um the box is glowing” -but oh geez the scene where Steve finds Peggy oh god when he goes in the room with her name on the door my roommate and I were watching it together the first time I saw it and both of us went “ohhhhhhh oh nooooooo” -cuz like that’s the first time he’s seen her since he went in the ice! Or at least seen her how he remembers and not old in Civil War hhhhhhhh GOD -I think seeing her there was a factor in his decision later but I’ll get to that later this is a long heck movie -oh and the OG human Jarvis showed up! I like him, I only saw season 1 of Peggy’s show but I remember liking him a lot -but yeah back to the present unless- well I’m sure I missed something -OH FRICK THOR’S BIT -I can’t Believe they went back to The Dark World -tbh I actually like The Dark World I think it’s a good movie but it’s not universally liked -callback to the scene with Loki tossing the cup in the air ahaha that one was always good -so if they had Rocket’s pokey device during that movie the whole plot of that movie could have been avoided? -anyway um Frigga?? What a queen. Literally -I loved “I was raised by witches I can see with more than my eyes” -she’s really what Thor needed there but god the “she dies today” poor boy -she’s so good though -I loved that ‘measure of a hero is being who you are not who you’re supposed to be’ Yes -and the “I’m still worthy!!!!” Thor needed a win -“eat a salad!” -Now back to the present -Stark-Tech can apparently channel Infinity Stones? And doesn’t need a special heart of a dying star and giant dwarfs to forge a special gauntlet um okay -“what do I have flowing through my veins right now?” “Cheese whiz?” -Bruce is so good though so strong I loved the “I was made for this” -so sweet when Laura called Clint! Yes! Everyone’s really back! -and double Nebula just Had to ruin everything tho -before I get into the final battle- I wonder how much of the time travel scenes were reused from old footage and how much was reshoots with the same actors/costumes/sets? -anyway -um rude blowing up the compound -and god the water scenes were so stressful the first time. Water/specifically-about-to-drown scenes always freak me out. Also trapped under ice and squished under something scenes -Clint finding the gauntlet and getting away from Thanos’ cronies! Every time anyone was running with the gauntlet all I could think of was that one goof from TAZ Balance in Petals to the Metal- Taako’s “Grab the Gauntlet and don’t look back” friggin
-also when Steve, Thor, and Tony all go to confront Thanos who is waiting for them, there’s a specific song playing in the background: https://youtu.be/H_9mnO_NOjk?t=120 (it starts at around 2:00) and you’ll hear this series of deep bell sounds? For the life of me- that specific sound sounds SO FAMILIAR and I can’t friggin place it. I can’t decide if it just reminds me of the Wind Dance song that plays in TAZ Balance whenever the Hunger shows up (which is fitting tbh)? Or if it sounds like some boss battle music that I can’t place? Maybe from Pokémon or Mystery Dungeon? I just can’t remember. It sounds real cool tho -but uh yeah UM -STEVE!! WORTHY!!!! -I mean we all be knowing but! -such a cool scene. I started clapping the first time I watched and others in the theatre joined in -not as cool as when Vision lifted the hammer but I’m biased -but things look dark at this point and I can’t remember if it’s at this part or one one next but there’s this real cool wide shot, this real nice tableau of Steve on a hill or something and this light behind him as he faces Thanos’ army and yeah it just looks real good. Like a good computer background I’d like to have or a poster -but yeah then! -“ON YOUR LEFT!” -Yay!!! Portals open and ‘oh yeah! Everyone’s back now! We have friends to help us fight!’ -gave me some good TAZ Balance episode 68 vibes. Could have called for a cool Lup-esque speech tho from Steve since he’s so good at that- “You see this? This is scary. But we can do this.” -EXCEPT -now we reach the part of my rambling where it turns into somewhat of a rant -because I’M annoyed but only for a specific reason that won’t affect the average moviegoer since Apparently not everyone’s a fan... -cuz Literally the only person who doesn’t show up -is my boy Vision -I mean Yes -I Know he was one of the people who died before Thanos snapped -but my hopes were Way Way Up that he’d come back somehow -and UHHH APPARENTLY I WILL JUST HAVE TO BE DISAPPOINTED -everyone Else came back??? Why not my boy?? -he wasn’t even mentioned despite being So Important in IW -except vaguely when Wanda pulled a real Taako in Balance episode 67 “You f**king took everything from me!!!” -she could have took out Thanos on her own for sure like he had to call in the big guns just to stop her from doing just that -strongest Avenger heck yeah -and Carol came too! -friggin Star Wars Episode 8-ing up in here shooting through Thanos’ spaceship that was So Cool -and the Girl Squad! Girl Squad! part!!!! Yes!!!!! So good!!! Protec small Peter! -somewhere, Nat smiled -Spider-Man’s instakill that was great -I loved the ‘pass the gauntlet’ part though -when Clint handed it off to T’Challa, T’Challa called his name and that was good cuz callback to Civil War when Clint said “we haven’t met yet. I’m Clint.” And T’Challa was like “I don’t care”. He does care now! Lol! -Carol just friggin Beast mode Thanos can’t even touch her he had to pluck the Power Stone from the gauntlet to even knock her back! We stan! A legend! -and oof Tony to Stephen Strange “14 million and one we win? Is this it?” “If I tell you it won’t be” -cuz oof -it really was a good ending for Tony though -he started it all way friggin back in 2008 -and the “I am Iron Man” Yes -and also I think it was in Age of Ultron that part when Tony was talking to Fury and it was like “I saw them all dead and that wasn’t even the worst of it” “the worst was that you didn’t” -so it’s very fitting and so so good -lining up with and going against Howard’s earlier “the greater good rarely outweighed my personal interest” and proving that Tony really was so heroic -so like it’s sad but it’s fitting and not like an unsatisfying end for his character -and it’s not like he won’t be friggin mentioned ever again or anything he’s friggin Iron Man he’s already in the new Spider-Man trailer -(no shade at all in the ‘not begin mentioned at all’ category...) -anyway oh wait -oh god Peter Parker tear my heart out again sad boy he’s so good at making us sad when he’s sad about Tony -yeah anyway again -loved the “proof that Tony Stark has a heart” disc from the first movie that was good -oh and so like the camera is moving through all the different groups of people on the dock and moving towards the house -(just an interlude but CAROL IN A SUIT UM YES) -there’s a shot of some random kid! And I didn’t know who it was until I was leaving the theatre and another guy heard me and my dad talking and he told us! It’s the kid from Iron Man 3! Now That was a nice throwback -but yeah then it gets into the I guess TAZ Balance Rebuilding Year-esque scenes -which were all Very good! Good family scenes; Hope and Scott and Cassie, and T’Challa and Shuri and their mom, and that scene with Wanda and Clint was very good BUT -would it have been So Hard to do just a small scene of maybe somewhere in Wakanda like Shuri helping to rebuild Vision with all that vibranium while Wanda was there watching? Maybe even from his old body?? Would that have been so hard?? Just Something to give me hope?? -why are all these movies So Against Wanda being happy??? -but yeah almost to the end -more time travel with Steve going to return the stones! I’m glad Sam and Bucky got more lines I love them both -but what I really loved was that Steve got his Magnus ending -not in a “how does Magnus die” way but a “how does Steve live” way -love me a good happy ending esp if it involves dancing like that’s All he wanted -like I said earlier, I think just seeing Peggy again was enough for Steve to be like ‘oh it doesn’t matter if I can’t live without war action (a la what Ultron said in AoU) i do really want that life with Peggy and I can do that now’ -it was just Good -but it does raise a few time travel questions -like if Our Steve went back to the 1940s (he did go to the 40s right?) does that mean that there’s another Steve still stuck in the ice? I would say there can only be one Steve at a time but that was proven wrong in the very same movie. There’s gonna be something to do with multiverse in the next Spider-Man which will of course just make everything all the more confusing but still... I guess if I don’t think about it too much it’s not such a big deal -it was also very fitting that there weren’t any after credits scenes. It reminded me of the end of TAZ Balance with the announcer (Junior) not announcing the final episode since he said in 68 that we’d have to see what happens in the last one together. Idk but I liked that -and I liked the signatures of all the OG avengers! That was like them signing off on this huge thing they did, which is really what happened! This huge friggin 12 year thing! -wait was that what the 12 meant all along?? The 12%, the 12 minuets? We may never know -but anyway back to the most important part to me -my boy Vision
-I was so naive
-like I’ve been told there’s gonna be a tv show or something but like -come on -you could have given me Something -I feel like Griffin in the Fallout 4 Monster Factory after Roachie despawned “nothing?!? You leave me nothing!?!” -so like all in all it was a good movie a Really Good movie I liked it a lot -that Time Heist- I love time travel plots. I already had some of my next DND campaign planned with time travel being a big part- I hope my players don’t think I’m stealing lol -it was very enjoyable and so so good to wrap up this huge thing and put a bow on this story arc. Which I guess can open the door for experimentation now? Which would be kinda cool -Scarlet Witch movie maybe and my dreams can come true??? I can be happy??? Please -I just- one little scene could have left me less disappointed and given me just a little hope but anyone who’s not in the ScarletVision boat will not be disappointed by this movie (cuz the deaths [Tony and Nat] are heroic and satisfying to me, so I’m not not satisfied by that) -it wasn’t Their movie but still. Let me complain -It really was really good though -And I guess I only get motivated to write fanfic like once a year (or whenever new ScarletVision content is in a movie though um the Vision part of that was uh nonexistent) so like my Complements fanfic is in the process of growing a fourth part so look out for that I guess -and if you’re still here reader, I hope you enjoyed my long long ramblings
-and in conclusion:
