You flinch, terrified of what this powerful man could do to a person like you. But why? What did you do? You thought your dearest friend would never hurt you.

And then you feel it. The brush of his soft hair against your forehead. His minty breath blowing small puffs on your nose. The tips of his fingers warming yours in the cold night-- he had removed his gloves, you realize. You only barely register him weaving your hands together so he could feel your palms against his palms; holding them closer to his chest so he could sense your beating heart-- or perhaps so you could sense his beating heart.

And he holds you both like that. Perfectly still. Just for a few minutes. Just a few minutes of calm, of comfort, of warmth. And then it's gone.

"My apologies for suddenly holding you like that." He whispers almost inaudibly.

You pull him down and touch your lips against his cheek. Your mouth is chilly against his skin; are you nervous?

"My apologies for suddenly kissing you like that." You say with a tremble.

A pause. Then a smile.

"No... I don't mind at all.

... But may you kiss the other one as well, for symmetry's sake?"

A twinkle of a laugh.

"I think a good symmetry needs a perfect midpoint too."

It takes two kisses before he understands what you mean.

I find it very funny that supposedly every time our voices bicker and argue, the princess is just left there, totally unaware.

She seemingly acknowledges this too! After a while of back and forth in our mind, she’ll pipe up because she’s noticed we’ve gotten lost in our thoughts. She must think we have trouble with zoning out. She’s not necessarily wrong, I guess.

terrible take I keep seeing is "well, if trump is as big a threat to democracy as liberals/leftists say he is, you should be glad someone tried to kill him. that you condemn political violence is evidence he isn't really a threat, or you're a hypocrite."

absolutely moronic. assassinations make more political violence not only possible, but likely. they are inherently destabilizing to democracy! and an assassination of a single far-right leader would not make the sentiment that supported that leader vanish overnight--the idea that killing one right person can irrevocably alter the course of history in a positive direction is a fantasy for people who write time-travel stories, not a useful model of actual politics.

the. the thing that really gets me here is

in the first chapter, in the first scene where sam wakes up from his vision, the first time we see them interact

1. sam pins dean to his bed

2. dean goes limp and lets sam manhandle him (his default reaction to sam grabbing him out of sleep)

3. sam straddles dean's hips

4. they lie next to each other in one bed

5. dean forgoes sleeping in his own bed on the literal other side of the room to instead sleep pressed up against sam

and you're on CHAPTER FOUR going on I just looked at the tags, didn't realize this was wincest

is this a normal brotherly relationship to you??
