Here's my take on LeatherHead for my Rise!OC explorations! This big boy takes LH as a character and gives him a species swap into a Triceraton! In this version Triceratons grow to Kaiju like proportions if they live in a safe and ample environment, they travel in small herds/family groups and it's very very rare to find one living on it's own. They are extremely social creatures and it takes something egregious to be disowned from one's herd. When they experience extreme stress or trauma their growth becomes stunted, sometimes permanently. Please feel free to hit me up for more Triceraton lore/deets or if you want to use Lux here as inspo for your own alien dino! I'd love to see some!

Some specific Lux Lore under the cut:

Luxor ended up abandoned on earth and was almost instantly taken into government custody. A nearly 7ft tall massive reptile is kinda hard to miss. He gained the pet-name "Leather Head" while in the labs. Triceratons are typically quick to adapt, this ability includes learning new languages/forms of communication. Lux quickly picked up an understanding of his human captors but they never took the time to delve into his sentience/intelligence. He was worth more as a brutish powerhouse.

Lux grew only a foot more while in captivity and his growth stopped permanently after he recovered from his vivisection. The missing toe/arm are the results of a failed gene splicing experiment to see if they could improve his healing/regenerative abilities. The splicing included 1 other captive who has a hand in Lux's eventual escape from the labs. But that's spoilers for now.

Another cool thing about my au is it gives me an excuse to add a bunch on the mutant enemy's and friends like mondo and Mona who I made siblings in this au that got taking Mona was looking after mondo cause there parents are dead

and also leather head is here he was one of the few animal mutants that where successful

there is also rocksteady and bebop they were volunteers cause bishop said they would get paid (they didn't realize what they were getting themselves into)

cant think of any others to add if anyone can think of one and an idea of why they were there that would be cool

My version of leather head for the rise universe is an Ex- battle nexus champion where he was forced to fight against his will from birth. This was before Big Mama time but even, so Leather head has growing hatred for Yokai town biggest source of entertainment and yokai. Now he's a withered old man who just wants to be left alone in his bayou.

Years ago Leatherhead happened to find V wondering the edge of his makeshift bayou. He begrudgly took them in but it only took a week for him to take a shine to the child.

now in the current times leather head and V often disagree despite how much the love eachother due to V wants to explore beyond the bayou and making friends with yokai and humans.

I like how the trailer shows us that people will try to symbolically tie Jinx and Vander together.

But Jinx goes out of her way to wear Silco themed clothes. Look at her wearing a SHARK hoodie with the Eye of Zaun design on it.

She really said that narrative can kick rocks, Silco's her favorite dad.

God I can't Stand how people (and many if not most of them women!!) will see a group of girls get together like in the context of a summer camp where most of the counselors are girls, or whatever, and be like... "oh man, the internal conflict is going to be insane this summer, you know because it's all women and no guys." I hate, hate, HATE it. Not because I think a work environment composed of all women is going to be naturally harmonious, absolutely not we're not the fairer sex and we can butt heads and be assholes and all that but like !!! I cannot believe I have to say this in 2024 but that's not an inherently feminine trait!! As if all-male workplaces don't have petty dick measuring contests and are just beacons of community. As if co-ed workplaces don't have drama. Do social constructs affect how people of different genders are bitchy to each other? Sure absolutely. But like... bitchiness is a human trait. Tired of people just treating workplace drama as normal except when it's between women then it's bc they're women
