Miss Independent (Nash Wells x Reader)
Rating: T
Summary: You’re a tough and independent and oftentimes stubborn member of Team Flash, almost to the point of self-sabotage. But when Nash Wells pops onto the scene and beats you in a fight, you refuse to accept any form of help from him in the latest Team Flash mission.

You’ve always been a do-it-herself kind of girl.
In school, when you carried your books to class, sometimes boys would ask to carry them for you.
“No thanks, I’m good.”
And there’s always that one item at the store that’s on the top shelf, just out of reach. A fellow customer or a stock-boy will check to see if you need assistance in reaching the pesky missing piece of your grocery list.
“Oh, that’s fine, I got it,” you’d say, and proceed to scale the shelves and channel the essence of your stretchy teammate and friend to reach it.
You may even reach a new level of stubbornness when you decline to accept help to carry said groceries up and into your downtown Central City apartment.
“I’m nearly there, thanks though!”
And you by no means need a man to save you.
Since the infamous Particle Accelerator explosion of 2015, and subsequently gaining your new-found abilities, you can do it all yourself. You can take care of yourself. Team Flash has lovingly dubbed you Miss “Indy” Independent.
Of course, one night of working your second-job as a vigilante for smaller crimes (muggings, corner store thefts, that kind of thing), you come face to face with a man who will turn your life upside down.
As if it hadn’t been turned upside down already.
***
You’re patrolling a different section of the city than usual tonight, near the Ivo Labs building, when you spot a figure in the alleyway at the side door to the premises. You press your fingers to your domino mask to make sure your identity is secure for this upcoming bust.
“Hey, you!” you shout. “Get away from there!”
Fully expecting the tall shadowy figure to flee, you are surprised to find the opposite. In fact, they step out into the dim light of the street lamps. It’s a man. It’s…
Oh hell, it’s another one.
You catch him stash something into one of his pockets. So this Wells is a thief. Huh… that’s different.
You’re still not going to take it easy on him.
“Whatever that is,” you call out, making careful advancements toward him, “you better hand it over.”
“Let me guess, ‘or else?’” This new, apparently cocky Wells replies. You laugh.
“You better believe it.”
“I’m afraid I can’t do that.”
“Then you’re in for a world of hurt.”
You break into a run, effectively charging Wells the Thief. Only, what you didn’t expect was for the man to shoot a grappling hook at a fire escape up above. He uses the propelling motions to fly over your body and land on the other side of you.
“Neat trick,” you say with a growing annoyance. But why don’t you fight me for what you took like a real man?” To emphasize the figurative throwing down of your gauntlet, you get into fighting stance and put up your dukes.
Wells walks back towards you, not even attempting to leave the situation. You can already tell this one loves a good fight. Hell, maybe they all do. This ought to be good.
You throw the first punch - pulling back tightly like a master archer - and letting it fly. What should have been his face, your knuckles meet his palm as he catches it.
How-?
“Gotta do better than that,” he says. You continue to throw a flurry of punches, all of which this Wells manages to block. And then, on your last one, disarms you and renders both your hands incapable of moving.
“You have beautiful eyes,” Wells remarks. “Are you married to that mask, or…?”
“Shut up.”
By hooking a leg around his you get him to stumble down to his knees, but he lunges at your middle and knocks you both down to the ground. Luckily, your head didn’t hit the pavement, but the crash is still not at all pleasant on the ol’ tush.
You take your chance and attempt to rifle a hand into the pocket you saw Wells stash the mysterious stolen object. Only…
“Call me old fashioned,” Wells says with a sideways smile, “but I’d rather you buy me dinner first, my dear.”
After being momentarily confused, you realize what you are rooting around for in his pocket is not, in fact, the thing he stole.
“Give it to me, now!” you demand before you’re forced to use resort to using your special abilities on this crook. This Wells’ eyes twinkle with mischief.
“Sorry Beautiful, I’m not that kind of guy.” The pair of you scramble to get up and just as you lift your hands to power up your energy blasts, Wells flashes the item he stole at you. He shoots you a wink. “Rain check?”
Suddenly, there’s a loud noise, followed by a dense fog of smoke. You run into the haze, hoping that didn’t just happen - that a thief didn’t get away from you. You’ve fought big bad metas! How could you lose against a cocky, ability-less, cat-burglar with second rate magician’s tricks?
Still stunned at your failure, you head home for the night while replaying everything about the fight in your head until it nearly drives you mad. You can’t believe you lost. You never lose! Consider yourself clocking out of this night shift. You hope you see that bastard again because when you do, you’ll be ready.
And he’ll regret the day he messed with you.
***
“(Y/N), meet Nash.”
You can’t believe it.
You cannot believe Barry is introducing you to him.
“You.” Your voice seethes with disdain. Of course this Nash, the Wells from that night that shall not be referenced, lights up like the sun at seeing you. He points in your direction.
“I’d know those eyes anywhere,” he says smoothly. “How’ve you been?”
“You two already know each other?” Cisco asks, scanning you both on opposite sides of the main monitor desk. You give a flat “no” the very second Nash says “we sure do.”
“‘Know’ is such a strong word,” you explain vaguely. “You know he’s a thief, right?”
“Yeah, he kind of helped us with our own heist…” Cisco says.
Great, so now we’re thieves?
“Anyway,” Barry continues hastily, “we’ve come up with a plan to catch Pinstripe at last. But there is a catch…”
“Let me guess. I serve as a distraction?” It would only seem fitting. You happened to have had a brief relationship with Pinstripe, one of Central City’s biggest gangsters. To be fair, though, this was before he ‘made it big,’ so to speak. You had no idea so long ago that your boyfriend at the time would become a heinous villain.
“Actually…” Barry scratches the back of his neck. Oh, great. “You’d be the bait.”
Welp, this might as well happen.
“Okay,” the word comes out as a sigh. “He’s been trying to track me down for years anyway. Just let me know the when and where and I’ll get it done. I’ll bring him down.”
“We’re going to send Nash in with you,” Barry tells you, “to keep you safe. Meanwhile, Frost and I will-”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” you interrupt your friend. “I don’t need anyone, let alone him to keep me safe.”
“I can help,” Nash steps in, “I have experience in-”
“-No, thanks. I got this all on my own. I don’t need your help.”
The Wells doppelganger holds his hands up in surrender. Barry and Cisco’s cringing expressions don’t go unnoticed as they exit, leaving you with Nash. As if to dissolve the extremely palpable tension, Nash leans against the wall.
“So, how about that dinner?”
***
You should have figured your ex-boyfriend would have shot you.
Really, the blast from his top of the line energy rifle nicked your shoulder, but it still hurt like hell. Part of the sleeve of your jacket has a singed hole. You could probably see the smoke coming off of it if you weren’t booking it up the stairwell of this office building. Pinstripe must have seen you dart inside…
“You won’t get away from me this time, (Y/N)!” the gangster calls up to you.
You press a finger to the comms in your ear. “You guys, I’m leading him to the rooftop.” There’s no reply. “Guys?” Well, shit.
Pushing through the exit door on the uppermost level, you keep running until you reach the ledge. You need to think fast. Maybe you have enough energy stored up for a good blast at Pinstripe? You have to try.
Pinstripe, with his suit that matches his Cisco-given villain name and slicked-back hair, he finally swaggers through the door. He’s no longer in a rush to capture you. There’s nowhere to run for you and still no sign of Barry or Frost.
“So, it’s come to this?” Pinstripe asks with a gross smirk. “Running away from our love again?”
“You’re a bastard. And I don’t love you.”
“Tell you what? You get away from that ledge, come home with me, and I won’t shoot you?”
“As if.”
You thrust your hands forward to let loose one of your energy blasts from your hands, but nothing happens. You have no stored energy left…
Pinstripe raises his rifle and aims. “I gave you a chance.”
Just then, your comms short-circuits in your ear, taking you by surprise and causing you to stumble back and hurtle over the edge. But an exhilarated shout grows louder, and before you know what’s happening, something catches you mid-fall. And now you’re… swinging through the air?
“Aw, (Y/N), are you falling for me?”
Looking up, you find yourself in the firm grasp of Nash Wells. The man smiles at you, but you are still in shock. You’re finding it hard to breathe.
When the pair of you finally touch ground again, Nash makes sure to set you down gently.
“Are you alright?” he asks you.
You do a quick self-check. “Yeah, yeah I think so.”
“Indy, are you safe?” Barry’s voice chimes in your ear. The comms are back online, it would seem. “We’ve captured Pinstripe. I’m taking him to Iron Heights.”
“I’m safe,” you confirm. “...Thanks to Nash.” The Wells beside you smiles at the recognition. “Seriously, thank you. I’d be pancake if you hadn’t…”
“Don’t worry about it.”
A wave of guilt and realization washes over you. “Listen, I’m sorry for biting your head off before. I was just bitter at having lost to you that night. See, I never lose. Apparently I’m on a downward streak.”
Nash simply nods, letting you get everything out.
“I was blind before, but now I know it’s okay to have help from others. Especially when you’re about to die!” You laugh awkwardly. “I don’t know why it took me so long to see it. I’m on a team, and I haven’t been acting like it.” Now you’re talking more to yourself. You proffer a hand to your saviour. “Welcome to Team Flash, Nash.”
“Thank you.”
You know, now that I think about it, this guy’s not half-bad looking...
“So,” you start, “how about that dinner?”

Requested by @emilyfandoms: So the readers personality is more of a do it herself type of girl. She doesn't need a man outlook on life because she can do it herself. She is a strong meta and knows how to handle herself even without her powers. So on first meeting Nash maybe they get into an actual fight and she ends up loosing which she gets super salty about it and can't stand Nash after that with his cocky personality and all. So once he finally( flirty with her) joined the team they have to use her as bait to catch a villain who is specifically after her. She ends up getting hurt and Nash saved her literally sweeping her off her feet afterward. So she falls for him then because she never had a man actually save her and yeah she wanting some Nash booty after if ya get what I mean. 🍑 👀 😏

Sing Sweetly
Len sat at the edge of the bed and contemplated life. It wasn’t like there was anything else he could do at Iron Heights. He frowned as he glanced out the window. People would be celebrating Christmas Eve tonight. He shuddered to think of being subjected to their caroling. Everyone he had ever heard sang so offkey.
“Up on the housetop, reindeer pause. Out jumps good old Santa Claus.”
 ….And speaking of offkey.
Len smiled despite himself. That was Barry’s voice. He knew Barry would be nice enough to visit for the holidays. Even though they were known to the public as enemies, truthfully, Len really liked the guy.
Barry came in front of his cell, dressed in his tight red superhero suit. He grinned from ear to ear. Len stood up to face him, opening up his arms as if to welcome the hero to his own house.
“Scarlet! Now what can I do for you?”
Before Barry could answer, the guard came running to catch up to the hero. He glared at Barry, shaking his head.
“You weren’t supposed to go on without me.”
“Don’t worry, officer. I can handle anything this guy throws at me,” Barry smiled.
Len arched a brow and asked, “Is that so?”
Barry’s attention was back on him. Not that Len was complaining about that or anything, “Sure. I can subdue you easily.”
“You wouldn’t be saying that if I had my gun. I could freeze you into a block of ice.”
“Gee, thanks. Merry Christmas to you too.”
Len walked closer to him, “You never answered my question. What are you doing here?”
 “Well…..I had an idea.”
“That’s scary,” Len retorted. Barry paid no mind to the insult.
“See, I wanted to go caroling in Central City Park. I…sort of promise a bunch of kids the Flash would do it.”
 Len smiled, amused but confused.
“How is that my problem?” although his words were mean, they were a normality. It was a banter that he and Barry had developed over their time of knowing each other. Len would be snarky and Barry would respond with a giddy grin.
“A few of the kids wanted Flash to have a duet with one of the villains. So, I thought who better to come than Captain Cold.”
Barry’s words send Len through a loop. Len felt like he needed Barry to repeat himself to make sure he heard right.
“You’re telling me,” he said, “That you trust me enough to go caroling with you? In front of children?”
“Not exactly,” the guard frowned, “You’d be accompanied by a police force, be separated from the public by glass, and you’d have to be close to the Flash at all times.”
Barry’s smile was strained now. Even he must’ve realized how sour the deal sounded to Len.
 “Nah. I’m good.”
“Oh, come on, Len!” Barry pleaded. His eyes grew wide in an adorable way that made Len feel flustered.
“I’m not singing in front of an audience. They’ll think Captain Cold is no longer a threat.”
Barry held onto the bars as his eyes begged Len to reconsider.
“But what if we tell like….the adults that you’re an actor? Then will you do it.”
“Why, Flash. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you’re willing to not only let a criminal sing for kids, but also lie about it.”
“I know you,” Barry had such a serious look that all of Len’s humor drop, “You wouldn’t hurt kids. Please, Len. Please do it. It’s Christmas Eve.”
Oh no. He was using the puppy eyes. Len had only seen them once before, but he already knew they were impossible to resist. When Len saw them, he knew he wouldn’t be able to say no.
“Down through the chimney with lots of toys. All for the little ones, Christmas joys,” Len sang along with Barry, who was beside him. Barry was still singing off key. However, he looked to be on cloud nine as he sung. And Len supposed that was the whole point.
He had been placed in a glass prison to separate himself from the crowd. Even with the Flash right beside him, the police wanted to use extra precaution. Len wondered what the parents thought about all this protection. If they truly thought he was an actor, wouldn’t they think this was a bit excessive?
Or maybe Barry told them it would look more authentic this way. He had a knack for thinking ahead when it came to this stuff.
There were….a lot of kids here. It was as if they were all in line for a carnival ride, instead of two men singing. Granted, it was a duet between the Flash and ‘Captain Cold.’ The kids really couldn’t resist their favorite hero, could they? Len smiled at the thought.
“Up on the housetop, click click click! Down through the chimney with good Saint Nick.”
When they were done with the final song, the kids laughed and cheered. Barry gave each of them a signed autograph using his super speed. The kids didn’t want to leave, but their tired parents wanted to get wink of sleep before Christmas Day.
Barry waved each and every one goodnight. It took at least an hour after the songs were done, but everyone finally left. Len breathed a sigh of relief. That was a little more anxiety inducing than he thought. Guess even Captain Cold could get stage-fright. Not that anyone noticed, because Len was good at keeping his cool, even when he was worried.
Barry turned to him and grinned, “You were great! I had no idea you could sing like that.”
Len was about to respond, but Barry was too quick. In a blink of an eye, the Flash was in the glass container with him. Barry wrapped his arms around Len and pulled him close. Meanwhile, the guards sprung to their feet.
“Hey! You’re not supposed to be in there!” one shouted.
“Give me a minute,” Barry yelled, a little sour. His voice sweetened when he spoke to Len, “You should consider going full time.”
Len recovered from his initial shock. He yearned to hug Flash back but was too shy to do so in front of the guards. He whispered so only Barry could hear.
“Pop Diva Cold. I don’t like the sound of that, Bar.”
Barry whispered back, “Oh come on. You’d love it. Why didn’t you tell me you could sing?”
“Never really came up. I was too busy trying to freeze your butt.”
“Glad you didn’t. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have been able to sing together.”
Blushing, Len scratched the back of his head sheepishly. He would admit that it was a nice experience to be with Barry and not fight for once. Maybe they could even do this next year?
 “Merry Christmas, Barry.”

PART 1  /  PART 2  /  PART 3  /  PART 4  /  PART 5  /  PART 6  /  PART 7  /  PART 8
That night Barry took you home when the sun was showing up on the horizon. You had spent the night by the bonfire laughing, joking, talking about each other’s lives and, of course, cuddling and kissing. It had been just perfect, like it should have been from the very beginning. You were tempted to ask him to stay over but you didn’t want to push it to far too soon, so you two just kissed in his car before he let you go, which was also hard for him. By the time you both fell on your beds that morning, nobody could erase the smile from your face but, of course, you fell asleep immediately.
When you opened your eyes, you found out you had fallen asleep wearing the clothes you had used for the date so the first thing you did was taking a long shower. Actually, you should go to the university since you had class, but you had already missed three of your classes so you just decided to take your day off and go for a run like you haven’t done in a while.
Meanwhile, Barry arrived at STAR Labs still sleepy but with a huge smile on his face. A smile that everyone noticed and of course, they all teased him about it. He didn’t mind though. For the first time, things with you were fine and everything seemed like it was working out.
“So how was it?” Iris asked with a huge smile on her face.
After everything Barry had gone through, she knew her best friend deserved to find that someone and maybe it could be you; so she really was excited about things working out between you two.
“Good. Really good” Barry told her smiling her back.
“But what did you do? Details!” She exclaimed.
“We didn’t do much” Barry laughed scratching the back of his neck. “We…ate, talked, laughed, kiss…a lot” he admitted.
“You kissed her!?” Iris asked.
“She kind of kissed me” he replied as he remembered how he teased you until you kissed him.
“That’s great!” She said hugging Barry as tight as she could.
“Guys, as much as I love hearing about Allen’s love life, we have a meta-attack downtown” Julian said looking at his phone. “Black Siren is moving again” he added looking at the team.
“I got her” Barry said before he speeded out of there.
You had no idea what was going on. One moment you were running downtown and the next one everything was chaos around you. A breach had opened just in front of you and a woman had come out of it like it was the most normal thing in the world. You stopped on your tracks, shocked as you saw the woman opening her mouth and screaming, causing you to cover your ears. It was the highest scream you had ever heard.
Once it stopped you could hear the police sirens coming your way so you decided to turn around and start running but before you did it, you saw the face of the woman and your heart literally exploded.
“Laurel?” You mumbled.
You knew you had to run and get away as far from there as you possible could but you were frozen. Laurel Lance, who died almost a year ago back in Star City, was now in front of you, wearing black leather and being chased by the police. When you said her name, she narrowed her eyes at you before she smirked.
“Silly girl” she said.
She opened her mouth to scream again but suddenly you were caught by something and the next second you were behind a building, away from the scene, feeling confused and disoriented.
“Are you alright?” A voice asked you. You managed to look up to find The Flash in front of you. The scarlet speedster had just saved you. “Are you alright?” He asked again, somehow his voice full of concern.
“I…I think so” you mumbled, still trying to understand what you had just seen.
“You have to go to the hospital” he said.
“No, I’m…I’m ok” you frowned.
He sighed and picked you up again, a couple of seconds later you were at the doors of the hospital and The Flash was nowhere to be seen. Since you were feeling okay you decided to go home instead of going into the hospital. If you went in there, they would probably call Oliver and you didn’t want him to worry about anything and, of course, you didn’t want to tell him you had just seen Laurel Lance in the flesh.
When you finally go to your apartment, you took your laptop immediately and started looking information about Laurel. It was painful to see photos of her and the news about her when her identity as the Black Canary was revealed. But it was there. She was dead and there was no way you could have seen her today. But somehow you had. And you needed an explanation. And there was only one person that could give you the information you needed: The Flash.
You had to find him.
But you didn’t have time to start digging about the superhero since there was a knock on the door. You imagined it was Barry who would have heard about the incident and was there to check on you but you were shocked when you were left face to face with your brother when you opened the door.
“Oliver?” You asked but there was no answer. All he did was grabbing your shoulders to look at you up and down before hugging you tight.
“God, are you okay?” He asked not letting you go.
“Eh…yes” you frowned. “You heard about the attack?” He nodded and pulled away to walk into your apartment while you closed the door. “It was an hour ago, how did you manage to come so fast?” You asked.
“Being the Mayor has its perks. Owning a private jet is one of them” he smiled at you.
“Oh, that jet you don’t let me borrow?” You asked raising an eyebrow.
“You want it to go to the Bahamas. Of course you’re not borrowing it” he said with a smile that disappeared immediately. “What happened? Why were you there?” He asked turning into ‘your older brother’.
“I…” you sighed. “I’m alright. I just went for a run and all the mess happened just where I was. That’s all” you shrugged. You wanted to tell him about Laurel but you knew it was a soft spot for him so you didn’t want to say anything until you knew for sure what you saw.
“How did you manage to escape?” He asked leaning against the back of the couch.
“The Flash saved me” you shrugged as you walked to the kitchen to grab something to drink.
“The Flash?” Oliver asked following you.
“I was as shocked as you are” you chuckled. “That guy is indeed fast. He took to the hospital in less than three minutes” you told him amazed.
“You’ve been to the hospital?” He asked freaking out again.
“Calm down, I’m fine. I didn’t even go inside. I was feeling okay and I didn’t want them to contact you” you said as you handed him a soda which he took. “Obviously, they didn’t even need to do it” you added with a smirk.
“I’m your brother, do you really believe I was going to stay in Star while you had been attacked?” He asked. You shrugged with a small smile before something popped into your head.
“How did you know I was there?” You asked.
“I saw a video on the news and I recognised you” he explained immediately.
“Oh…good” you nodded taking a sip from the soda. Then, there was another knock on the door. That was for sure Barry and you wasn’t ready for Oliver to meet him. Not just yet. “It’s unlocked!” You exclaimed praying it was anyone but Barry.
Suddenly, your sister came running into the kitchen, wrapping her arms around you, taking you completely by surprise.
“What the fuck?” You asked trying not to drop the soda.
“I was buying pizza down the street. How are you? Are you hurt?” She asked looking at you up and down like Oliver had done previously.
“I’m fine! Don’t worry, really. You didn’t have to come all the way here for god’s sake! A call would have made it and you had just been into the hospital!” you told them exasperated.
“You could have lied” Oliver shrugged.
“And I’m alright” Thea assured you.
“Thanks for the trust” you replied rolling your eyes which made him laugh. “Don’t worry” you told Thea, “I’m alright. The Flash saved me” you shrugged.
“The Flash?” She asked raising her eyebrows.
“Yes” you laughed. “He’s kind of the superhero here, it’s his job to save people” you laughed at their looks.
“Yeah, you’re right” Thea laughed as you walked to the fridge to grab another soda for her. “Now that you’re okay…shall we have lunch? I bought pizzas” she said.
“I love you so much for that” you said. “I’ll grab the plates, you go and opened the boxes. Oliver, take the napkins from the left cupboard” you ordered.
The three of you sat around the table and started eating as you asked them about things in Star City and they asked you about college. It seemed like everything was working out for everyone now and you were happy about it.
“By the way, Oliver…” you said when something came to your mind. “You’re in contact with the Green Arrow right?” You asked.
Just like every time someone brought that up, you could see how he tensed a bit. You never understood why but you always let it go.
“Barely” he said looking at you cautiously. “Why?”
“I need to contact The Flash and…I’m sure Green Arrow knows how to do it so I was thinking-“ before you could finish your sentence, your brother stopped you.
“No” he said. “You’re not meeting any of them. I will not have it” he said immediately.
“Why not?” You frowned.
“It’s dangerous” was all he said. “And why do you want to contact The Flash anyway?” He asked you.
“I want thank him” you lied. Well, it wasn’t completely a lie, you did want to thank him but you needed to know who you had seen earlier that day. “He literally saved my life today” you added.
“He saves so many people’s lives and they don’t try to contact him” Oliver shrugged.
“No one has ever tried” you shrugged.
“Let it go ok? I’m not giving you a way to contact the Green Arrow, let alone a meta human. Period” he said serious.
You were about to say something back but when you saw Thea’s face you knew it wasn’t the best idea so you sighed and let it go. You would have to find another way. A couple of hours later they finally left. Oliver had some things to do before the day was over so they said their goodbyes and left, leaving you alone to rest.
“Aren’t we going to visit Barry?” Thea asked Oliver when they were finally on the street.
“No. I don’t want him to know I have a sister, let alone that she’s here” he sighed. “I want her away from all this” he added.
“I agree” she nodded as they made their way to a taxi.
Once you finished cleaning up the apartment, which was a complete mess, you locked the door and laid down on the couch with a blanket over you, ready to take a nap. But, for the third time, someone knocked on your door. Obviously, the world had decided not to leave you alone that day. With a sigh you got up and walked to the door, unlocked it and opened to find Barry on the other side.
“Barry!” You exclaimed happily. Definitely, you didn’t mind if it was him who knocked on your door. “What are you doing here?” You asked.
“I heard about the attack and I saw you on the news” he said coming in to wrap his arms around you. “Are you okay?” He asked not letting you go.
“Don’t worry, I’m fine” you smiled hugging him back.
“Are you sure?” He asked pulling away and taking your face in his hands.
“Positive. Don’t worry” you smiled at him. He frowned a bit before sighing and crashing his lips against yours, taking you by surprise. “What was that for?” You chuckled when he pulled away.
“I was just too worried I needed to see you, check if you were fine and kiss you” he smiled a little.
“Well…You’ve seen him, you’ve checked that I’m fine but I’m not sure that kiss was enough” you smiled.
He smirked and pushed the door closed before kissing you again, pushing you slowly until your back met the back of the couch. You were already an addict to his kissed, you didn’t know why or what he had done to you, but you knew you didn’t want to be left without them ever.
“Was that enough?” He whispered pulling away again.
“Not even close” you smirked.
He laughed and kissed you once again, picking you up this time just to lay you down on the couch, with him on the top of you. You wrapped your legs around his waist to pull him closer to you as you played with his hair and his hands ran down your body, making you shiver. After a moment, you were forced to pull away to take some air, but all he did was moving his lips to your neck, immediately finding one of your sweet spots and attacking it, making you moan quietly but loud enough for him to hear it.
Barry smirked and pulled away to look down at you. His face was red due to the hot, just like yours. Still, you smiled at each other and sighed before he laid down next to you, wrapping his arms around you from behind.
“I really got scared today” he whispered. That confession really made you smile.
“Did you?” You asked and felt him nodding behind you.
“I…” he sighed. “Look at me” he said. Carefully, you turned around so you were facing him. “I care about you. A lot. It’s obvious that I like you and it’s obvious that you like me” he said making you smile. “So…we’ve been messing around, playing around for three weeks now and I’m tired of that” he said.
“What are you saying Allen?” You smirked.
“I’m saying that I’ve learned that life is too short to let things go so I want more with you, I want us to be more” he smiled. “If you want, of course” he added.
“Is Barry Allen asking if I want to date him officially? Isn’t that old fashioned?” You teased him.
“Oh alright. Now you tease me” he laughed poking your side where you were ticklish. “C’mon…what do you want?” He asked looking into your eyes.
Biting your lip you allowed yourself to lose yourself in him, in his eyes and his smile. You couldn’t lie, you wanted more too but at the same time it scared you. The fact that last date was amazing didn’t mean he wouldn’t leave you alone when you had the next one. Still, you wanted more. And he was right, life was too short. You had to take the time you had since you never knew when it would end.
“I want more” you said back.
Literally his eyes smiled when you replied. He pulled you even closer and kissed you again, feeling somehow relieved now that he had you officially in his life.
