The famous artists behind history's greatest album covers Written by Leah Dolan, CNNThroughout the 20th-century record sleeves regularly served as canvases for some of the world's most famous artists. From Andy Warhol's electric yellow banana on the cover of The Velvet Underground & Nico's 1967's debut album, to the custom-sprayed Banksy street art that fronted Blur's 2003 "Think Tank," art has long been used to round out the listening experience. A new book, "Art Sleeves," explores some of the most influential, groundbreaking and controversial covers from the past forty years. "This is not a 'history of album art' type book," said the book's author, DJ and arts writer DB Burkeman over email. Instead, he says the book is a "love letter" to visual art and music culture.For the 45th anniversary of "The Velvet Underground & Nico" in 2012, British artist David Shrigley illustrated a special edition reissue cover for Castle Face Records. Among them are Warhol's cover for The Rolling Stones' 1971 album "Sticky Fingers," featuring the now-famous close-up of a man's crotch (often assumed, incorrectly, to be frontman Mick Jagger in tight jeans) as well as an array of seminal covers designed by graphic designer Peter Saville, co-founder of influential Manchester-based indie label Factory Records. Kusama even features on the album's last track, "Love Forever," where she recites a short poem.In 1992 dissenting graphic designer Barbara Kruger created the artwork for the only LP ever released by short-lived riot grrrl band, Growing Up Skipper. Hi, how are you? So this video is from your neck of the woods, I can tell from my one time DLCC conf visit to Pittsburgh. Jonas Blue feat. Dakota - Fast Car (Dance Video) by Leah Maurizio. I'm guessing its filmed along the banks of the Allegheny River somewhere in Pittsburgh. The scenery is beautiful by the way & this whole video is kind of my aesthetic :D Sadly, I'm not into shipping a lot & I've become that serious adult, slightly jaded & way too skeptical. Fast Car

I recognize the Hot Metal Bridge, so I’m going to guess it’s filmed on part of the Heritage Trail along the Monongahela River. That trail connects to the Great Allegheny Passage, but I haven’t biked that part of it yet. :)

Pittsburgh is a beautiful city. 

And those ladies are pretty beautiful too. 

Of course, it’s raining, which is par for the course in Western Pennsylvania. :P

I’ve been doing pretty good. I hope you have been as well. I completely understand about the adulting. I don’t get much into other fandoms these days, but Faberry still has a special place in my heart. so here I still am.

Shazam! sta per approdare nelle sale nostrane, precisamente il 3 aprile, e tutti noi siamo molto curiosi di vedere come avranno presentato questo meravgilioso ed importantissimo personaggio targata DC Comics sul grande schermo, soprattutto per quanto riguarda la perfomance di Zachary Levi e del doppiaggio italiano ad opera del mitico Maurizio Merluzzo.

Poco fa vi abbiamo riportato una nuovissima clip ufficiale del film con diverse scene inedite, mentre ora vi riportiamo due nuovi poster ufficiale dedicati al film diretto da David F. Sandberg, di cui uno realizzato per il mercato cinese, che da sempre ci permette di dare un nuovo sguardo a poster ufficiali e non solo. Li trovate qui sotto.

Abbiamo tutti un super-eroe dentro di noi , ci vuole solo un po’ di magia per tirarlo fuori. Nel caso di Billy Batson Urlare una sola parola “SHAZAM” fa diventare un ragazzino di 14 anni un super-eroe, per gentile concessione di un mago. Ancora un bambino nel cuore – dentro un corpo divino – Shazam si divertirà in questa versione adulta di se facendo ciò che qualsiasi adolescente farebbe con i superpoteri. Può volare? Ha una visione a raggi X? Può lanciare fulmini dalle sue mani? Può saltare il suo test di studi sociali? Il mago Shazam si propone di testare i limiti delle sue capacità con la gioiosa imprudenza di un bambino. Ma avrà bisogno di padroneggiare rapidamente questi poteri per combattere le forze del male controllate dal Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.
