"Don't shove it down our throats"
"Protect the kids, keep this away from them"
No. Stop.
We need to keep showing it
We need to let people that they are seen.
We need to show these kids. Kids. That they have someone.
Why?
Because queer youth are 4 times more likely to commit suicide than their peers
Because 45 percent or queer youth have considered suicide within the last year
Because a young queer person attempts suicide every 45 seconds
Because having just one supportive adult reduscing the risk of suicide in queer teens by 40 percent
If you want to protect the kids, save our fucking lives
Instead of saying to stop shoving it down your throats
Take the pills out of our throats
Take the noose off our necks
Take the blades and guns out of our hands
And let them out their hands there instead
So they can hold us and help us
And listen an let us know
Hey. I see you. I hear you. Your feelings are valid. And you are loved
If you care about the children then let us be seen and heard...
At this point I'm scared for my life... If I didn't have a support adult that had that sign on their door at school and wore that pin I would be dead
That sign. That pin. They don't hurt the straight cis kids. They don't cause harm. They don't get affected by them. But it saved my life...
So please. Stop saying stuff like that.
To other queer kids, please. Here me. You are loved. You will be accepted one day. My messages are open. You deserve to be alive. You're not broken. You're not a fuck up. You are a person just like me and all those other 8 billion on this planet. You are worth so much more than what theyve said. I love you so so so so so much. This world is better with you here. It's better with you and your personality because you're unique. We need people who are different. I love you. I'm here if you need anything at all. And I'm so proud of you...

I stumbled across this post: https://www.tumblr.com/fanonical/774627656060780544/spin-this-wheel-of-fanfic-tags-this-will-be-the?source=share.
It’s a writing challenge that assigns fanfic themes at random—and the tag I received was “Trans Character.”
I’m honestly grateful. I’ve been looking for the right moment to write a story like this, and this challenge gave me the push I needed. It means a lot to me that my first trans-centered fic is about Sailor Uranus—Haruka Tenou. She’s a character who’s always lived in the in-between, and I wanted to honor that with something quiet, intimate, and deeply true.
---
Wind Was Never Meant to Choose Sailor Moon Fanfic (Haruka Tenou) by MythboundCal
Haruka doesn’t like boxes.
She never did.
Not the one that said boy or girl. Not the one that said racer or soldier. Not the one that said you have to pick one or youre just confused.
She tried. She tried to pick once. She picked wrong.
Or maybe the world just didn’t like her answer.
—
The wind doesn’t choose what direction it blows. It just moves.
And so does she.
—
Michiru calls her “darling” like the word isn’t tethered to anything. Haruka likes that. She can wear a suit one day, a gown the next, and Michiru will still raise an eyebrow like she’s undressing her with her eyes. It’s infuriating. It’s perfect.
“You don’t care what I am?” Haruka asks once, half-serious.
Michiru doesn’t blink. “You’re mine.”
—
The others never ask. Or if they do, they don’t press.
Mamoru just pats her shoulder and says, “You’re stronger than any of us. So who cares?” Usagi calls her “cool” like it’s her name. Even little Chibiusa stares at her with wide eyes and says, “Are you a prince or a princess?”
Haruka just grins.
“Both.”
—
Sometimes, it aches. The in-between. The neither. The both. But she puts her hands on the steering wheel. She feels the wind at her back. She launches forward anyway.
Because wind isn’t meant to stand still. And she isn’t, either.

Biggest group of drawings I've done at once!
Fang Dragniel is the Dragon Prince of his kingdom. However, due to a powerful spell cast upon his people that kept them in slumber, he was forced to travel Eirtha as a mercenary. In hopes of finding a cure to the curse . . .
For his personality I want you to imagine Bakugo but with a softer voice and better comebacks.

Nothing is quite as annoying as a character getting "fixed" by true love, NOTHING NEEDED TO BE FIXED
And when asexuality gets mixed up for aromantisism 🥲
me looking for ace/aro characters: lets go gambling!
[character's sex repulsion is used for jokes] aw dang it
[character is put in sexual situations despite disliking it] aw dang it
[character's identity is ignored by fandom] aw dang it
[characters creators sexualize them] aw dang it
[aro character gets 'fixed' by true love] aw dang it
[aro/ace character is literally an animal] aw dang it
[creator messes up definition of asexuality] aw dang it
[characters asexuality is never brought up in media] aw dang it

Bonus question! What parts of a game reinforces the heteronormative construction of the gender binary? Do the games just play on gender stereotypes? Does the game reinforce a stark distinction between female characters and male characters through their character design (like oversexualization of female characters and hyper unrealistic body images for male characters)?
Do you think games like Fortnite and Overwatch where there is a set of characters or skins for the player to choose from should be a little bit less set in the binary? Do you think they are set in the binary at all?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments! I'd love to hear 'em :)

Hello tumblr! This is my first post in this blog and I just wanted to say hi! I’m just going to be talking about some struggles I have as an ftm trans teenager as there is very little I can do physically that can solve any sort of dysphoria and such. This is just a safe space and I’ll answer most of not all questions people have for me and ask questions myself. This page is just to help show other people out there that there are similar people struggling with their transition and their lives and that you are not alone. Love you all!

Hey @netflix do you remember tweeting this? Because I remember when you tweeted this!

We're still waiting for you to be "so annoying" about them. Maybe a good place to start is renewing Dead Boy Detectives!
You and @warnerbrostv need to put your heads together and figure out a way to do right by this incredible show and its creatives. Customers are sick and tired of the "Netflix Graveyard" sending poignant stories with great LBGTQ+ representation to an early grave. Queer stories deserve to be told, and the people who feel seen by them enjoy to have closure. We pay the subscription fees that everyone else pays, so have a little integrity!
LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. Everyone from the fans to critics to journalists and pop-culture sources has been screaming about this show's worth, and you two are the only ones who fail to see it! Open your eyes and know a good thing when you have it; Dead Boy Detectives is a hit, people love it and want more of it, so it's a guaranteed profitable investment long-term.
You already have season 2 scripts @netflix and @warnerbrostv, so make it happen!

Please remember that this is a fight for all of us! As long as major companies think that they can bury queer voices, the more danger we’re all in. This is something that just can’t keep happening.
Save ‘A league of their own’ , Stand up for each other and show Amazon that they can’t keep canceling and burying our representation.
Hey All-Star Fruits!
As we all know, A League Of Their Own’s 2nd season was scrapped from Amazon. Like Abbi, Will and Desta said, blaming the strikes is a cowardly move on their part and we all know the actual reasons behind this decision.
We are confident we’ll find a new home for our award winning show, one that appreciates and understands the importance of the stories told by this amazing show and the people that have put their heart and soul in working to bring it to life.
Meanwhile we have to show the studios and streamers we are backing up our team, and that no matter how long it takes we will still support this amazing family. That’s why we urge you all to help spread and sign this petition.
This is one way to quantify to them the support ALOTO has.
Help us save A League Of Their Own.

Say what you like about qualities of either show, Discovery is closer spiritually to TOS than any other Trek series.
1966: TOS had an optimistic outlook on who was going to participate in our future; a woman of color as an officer and part of our bridge crew. A Japanese and Russian, former and current enemies of the United States (at the time), things that were unthinkable of at the time.
2017: a crew is eventually united under the command of a woman of color, and the crew features members of the LBGTQ+ community: a gay couple in a committed relationship, a lesbian engineer, an identified non-binary person, and their partner who could be trans-coded.
Throughout the decades, this is what Trek has always striven for; acceptance, representation, and inclusivity.

Diversity wins!
LOS ANGELES — On the heels of the cancellation of the critically-acclaimed queer pirate comedy Our Flag Means Death, streaming giant Max apologized to saddened fans for not canceling the show sooner.
“We want to thank the cast and crew of ‘Our Flag Means Death’ for all their hard work and dedication to creating two fantastic seasons of hilarious, groundbreaking programming,” Warner Bros. Discovery spokesperson Kyle Willshire said. “And to all the fans of the show and the LBGTQ+ representation it was beloved for, we’re sorry we didn’t cancel it while the second season was filming and shelve it forever.”

LBGTQ+ Disabled Characters Showdown Round 3, Wave 1, Poll 7

A character being totally canon LGBTQ+ and disabled was not required to be in this competition. Please check qualifications and propaganda before asking why a character is included.
Check out the other polls in this wave and prior here.
Link-Legend of Zelda
Qualifications:
He was legit designed to be androgynous (Nintendo has actually said this) and easily passes as a girl (I firmly believe Link is genderfluid), and also he got his arm yoinked
He lost his arm in TOTK, but ALSO we know that one version of him, the Hero's Shade (seen in Twilight Princess, and canonically is the one from Ocarina of Time) is missing his eye. Aside from that, one version of Link (the one in BOTW/TOTK) is commonly headcanoned as gay/bi (often shipped with prince Sidon of the zora), as well as seen by plenty of fans as genderfluid or nonbinary. People also headcanon him as having PTSD and severe anxiety due to the VERY traumatic things he's had to deal with (particularly BOTW Link, as he's the one who failed in his mission to protect Hyrule, unlike the other versions)
Additional qualifications by @sasybanana : Botw link is also canonically selectively mute due to his very canon anxiety over his responsibilities as keeper of the mastersword before the calamity. This is referenced both in some of his memories with zelda and some of her journals you can find. It was also noted by Robby in botw that link is riddled with scars and burns from the incident that put him in the shrine of resurrection to begin with. I forgot to say: many people also believe link is Asexual or generally Ace due to his overall disposition toward canonical romantic partners and prospective in-game ones as well.
Propaganda:
Link is the best and deserves to be in this
Link is cool, and I want more people to see how cool he is
Anything Else?:
Okay, if you want to see a GREAT Zelda comic that incorporates both the mental health headcanons common with Link, as well as one version missing his eye, look up Linked Universe, it's pretty good at showing those (Submitter 2)
Luz Noceda-The Owl House
Qualifications:
Canonically bisexual and shown in the show, never stated in the show but is also ADHD
She is bisexual and has ADHD.
Bisexual (canon) and neurodivergent (heavily coded)
bisexual adhd queen
Very cool character that shows children that it's okay to be disabled and in the LGBTQ community
Propaganda:
Has been through many of the troubles that I as an ADHD person have also been through, mainly regarding school. (Shown mainly in season 3)
She’s got a girlfriend, which is groundbreaking representation for a Disney cartoon (especially considering how she’s the main character). She’s also really determined and kind, having amassed a massive found family by the end of the show. Her ADHD causes her a number of problems throughout her journey, but it also makes her who she is.
I adore her and she had done nothing wrong in her life ever
SHES THE BEST EVER
People want to screw her for some reason so uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah
Anything Else?:
Canon girlfriend she has a canon girlfriend. And has crushed on both she/hers and he/hims (Submitter 1)
Enchanted Grom Fight was absolute bangers (Submitter 5)

IDW is heralded as a pioneer for queer representation for Transformers but it was the start and not be treated as the standard, one should always continue to strive to do better. People are likely afraid that any valid criticism towards IDW will conflated with its queer representation and scare off Hasbro from including it in future installments. However, the people doing that to appear to be associated with IDW itself such as Harrison who deflected to homophobia when faced with criticism, as if IDW didn't inherently cater towards homophobes (whether intentional or not) by having their canon queer characters and relationships be largely made up of lesser known characters opposed to legacy characters because it would be more palatable...
I don't want to throw out the proverbial baby with the bathwater, and I want to make it clear that the issue isn't queer relationships in and of themselves. I've seen plenty of metas from other creative minds that pointed out how you could write queer relationships with the cast of characters in such a way that it would make more sense in context, and not grind the giant transforming robot action to an absolute halt. But it's much harder to defend "romance is taking up way too much time" than "miss me with that gay shit," hence going with that stereotype with any and all criticism.
Then again, James Roberts was also the guy whose fanfic novella I keep making fun of literally had a scene where Soundwave has sex. And even he has claimed that it was too much in hindsight.
That and let's be honest. Between IDW tanking, WFC tanking, and now Earthspark's woeful underperformance, if anything would scare Hasbro off from hiring LBGTQ+ writers and inserting those relationships into Transformers going forward, it's those commercial failures, not the complaints of a few grifter Youtube channels who think making fun of Nightshade will get them a few extra ad dollars.

The Ghost and Molly McGee Season 2 Thought So Far
I can’t believe I haven’t talked about The Ghost and Molly McGee yet. I have multiple drafts in my docs and on tumblr but I could never really get my thoughts across as well as I would like but I’ve decided to just put my thoughts out here because I really do enjoy this show.
The ghost and molly mcgee is one of those shows that shocked me with just how much I enjoyed it. I think that’s purely because it doesn’t fall into the tone of show I usually lean towards. I usually gravitate towards shows like Arcane, Invincible, Amphibia, and The Owl House to use recent examples. Shows that are very bittersweet (or in Arcane’s case straight-up tragic) and know how to gut punch you with emotional moments. I feel seen in certain aspects of these shows and the hard truths they portray that many people have experienced but that isn’t what I need all the time and the Ghost and Molly McGee perfectly fits what I need outside of those types of shows.

It’s a show that champions joy and connections and it sees the best in people. In a time that seems to be filled with hate and is hard to experience day to day, this is the type of show I need to unwind and feel a bit more hopeful.
The Ghost and Molly McGee had a phenomenal first season. It was an amazing introduction to the characters, world, and themes of the show that ended on a bang with Molly vs the ghost world. I had a lot of excitement heading into the next season, but was unsure of where the show would go from that explosive finale and I can safely say that the second season is off to a great start.

I love the introduction of the Chens and how their profession of being ghost hunters comes into conflict with their friendship with the McGees. It's an interesting dynamic that adds a level of tension to Molly and Scratch’s adventures that wasn’t present in season 1. There wasn’t much of a threat of anyone discovering Molly’s friendship with Scratch or exposing their escapades, especially after Libby was brought into the fold, so I really like the decision to add threats on the human side of things.
The Chens themselves have a lot of potential as characters and are already interesting foils to the McGees. Most of them don’t have much development yet and they are very similar to the McGees in terms of personality, but the show has already set up very interesting plotlines for them.

Ollie in particular has a lot of potential due to his discovery at the end of “I Really Wanna Dance with Some Ollie”. He made the conscious decision to not tell his mother that he discovered that Molly is friends with Scratch which sets up an interesting conflict in his character and it adds depth to his actions and bond with Molly.
Right now he is a copy of Molly in many ways (as are all of the Chens with the McGees) but it’s only a few episodes into season 2 so there are a lot of opportunities for growth.

I also really like June and love that she’s canonically autistic. The Ghost and Molly McGee is great when it comes to representation. It is very racially diverse and I appreciate that it has background/normalized lbgtq+ characters and is now including main characters that are intentionally and explicitly neurodivergent. Representation matters. I’ve written about why I believe representation is important before so I’ll spare the essay but I believe that people being able to see aspects of themselves not depicted as frequently in media in characters on this show, especially this show’s age demographic, is a good thing.
Another development I really liked is what the show has decided to do with the ghost world, specifically the chairman. The idea that Scratch is forced into a role of authority after the events of the finale is really interesting. There are so many directions they can take this idea and it’s a really good way to force Scratch out of his comfort zone and get him to grow. This also expands on the lore in regards to the ghost world which we still know little about. I look forward to the ways in which this can explore Scratch’s character and give us more insight into the show’s lore.
Scratch gets some very poignant character moments even outside of the chairman development in these episodes with the best example being “A Soda to Remember”.

“A Soda to Remember” is my favorite episode of the batch that dropped because of how it juxtaposes Scratch’s character and the glimpse of his past with the wacky antics of the episode. There’s a palpable melancholy to the flashback at the end of the episode that works so well considering the overall tone of the show. It builds a lot of emotion and intrigue around it that makes the episode and Scratch’s arc in it hit a lot harder.

Episodes in The Ghost and Molly McGee almost always end on an optimistic note so that final scene strikes a unique emotional cord within the show. This technique was used sparingly in the first season with it only occurring in the episode “Out of House and Home” when the McGees lose their house and when Scratch is taken back to the ghost world in “The Jig is Up”. The show knows when to slow down and allow these emotional moments to sit which is part of why I enjoy it so much.
This actually might be the plotline I am most interested in seeing explored in the future.
Overall I think the second season of The Ghost and Molly McGee is off to a great start!
