Just finished LBAF IV had to hurry and finish it before V comes out.

I really enjoyed Kincaids POV and I was glad you did it that way bc it had been anyone else’s of course we would all hate him and be team Lance over him but this way I am a little sympathetic (obviously still team lightwood-bane)

I love Arthur so much and he deserves his destiny and wishes to be fulfilled too! ��

I loved older Max and that he has lived without David for 720 years! 😭😭 can’t wait to see what happens there!

It was a wonderful story and yes so full of angst but soft part too. Although I do feel like David has been punished and hurt enough, I cried to much when they banned him from Idris. It’s someone else’s turn, ok?!!

When I read IALS I didn’t know Kincaid as much so I wasn’t as big as a fan with him and Arthur but after the epilogue he has definitely grown on me. They are beautiful together. Is it like a canon event that they are destined to be together but it never works out like IALS bc that would make me so sad!! 🥺

Writing the epilogue from Kincaid's pov was definitely strategic. I loved it so much that I decided to include it in LBAF V - and I kinda have to go because of the plot hehe.

Other Max angst will hit out from all sides. Beware.

My post is about RT the company & the writing of the show.

The two things are mutually exclusive, if the company improves than so the the writers and the safety of both the poc working already there and the fans of rwby who want to work there but are poc.

The show isn't consistent that's why those videos exist, if you bother to watch any of those videos they show you how inconsistent they are.

There's also them talking about how the old leader of the white fang stepped down and a new leader took over and how violent he was. Showing a silhouette of a dude and everything only for it to be sienna and she literally isn't anymore violent.

There's plenty of inconsistencies in RWBY. Don't fetishize RT or rwby when you compliment or ignore the writing flaws RT make you're undermining the hard work better writers put into their own work. Don't be that guy, don't be an enablers and pussyfoot away from liking it and still admitting there are things that really need fixing.

It's okay to like something and acknowledge it's lbad writing. This is entertainment. It's not a religion or something. XD

the problem with RT's “Constructive Criticism” comment. Their perception of constructive criticism is anything that praises the show, or is a minor element that they are willing to change. If someone comes in and gives criticism about how certain aspects of the show have absolutely no continuity (characters, fight scenes, plot, etc) and they say a naughty word, it’s deemed as rude. And whenever someone doesn’t say a naughty word but still asks these questions, it’s either a spoiler question or they’re taking the show too seriously. This is why they're never going to improve as writers of they keep up this mentality.

Are you bringing back the ironqrow fic of them sparring? That was one of my favourites

Okay so STORY TIME. (tw for suicide mention and depression and bullying -- YES ITS THAT KIND OF STORY)

I wrote that fic for a very specific person in which I emulated [their] writing style to try and make [them] happier with it. Within a week, I hated that fic. It did not sound like me at all. I never reread it.

And then. The Event happened and the person I wrote that fic for legitimately attempted to drive me to suicide alongside about... half a dozen other people. I try not to remember.

[They] did so actively. Aggressively. It was February of 2017 aka the event that made me eventually purge my blog in January of 2018.

So while I appreciate that that fic is a favourite of yours, it no longer exists. It remains one of three fics I have ever purposely, permanently deleted off my hard drive and everywhere else in the world. It is gone. It’s sequel is gone. And another oneshot is gone. Unless someone else in this world saved it, it’s gone forever. And I am glad. And the bits of that fic I remember still actively send me into a panic spiral on a good day.

This has nothing to do with you. This is not your fault for sending the ask. But I wanted to explain myself because I am trying to be honest these days. And I wanted to be clear that a) this fic is never coming back b) its sequel is never coming back and c) I don’t WANT it to come back.

HOWEVER

I do still loving sparring sex (Pole Dancing comes to mind, for non-Ironqrow) and I plan on writing more. I have at least three planned. One involves bottom!James. One involves a shower. It is my hope that all of these are better than the one that came before and can realign my thoughts when I think of ironqrow and sparring sex.

So this is what Life is but a Dream was originally supposed to be, a continuation of the ending. All the way back when I was a junior in high school was I writing an alternative ending for Cowboy Bebop, trying my hardest to make it make sense.

I’m going to try to get at least two chapters out of LBAD out before I would release this, because it doesn’t feel right to have it as just a 1,000 word one shot. We have TOO many loose ends to fix lmao, and would need to be at least 4 - 6 chapters. But I will definitely put it on my to do list, thank you so much ✨🪐🌙
