You know, more than how she connects to Marc, I wanna see how Layla connects to the Scarlet Scarab legacy. Her father and brother (assumed due to the surname) were both die-hard Egyptian patriots, and her father holds the dubious honor of fighting both for the Invaders and the Axis powers as he saw fit as one of the few neutral superheroes of the WWII era.

Comicverse Marc's other canon love interests take Layla out for drinks, to celebrate her big 616 debut!

...And then to commiserate about the fact that she's already dead!

(She'll be back in some form, because comics. But, gosh, that was fast.)
